Tranquil and beautiful. Wonderful room, service and grounds. Kathy pays attention to all the small details so you feel pampered. Definitely would have stayed longer if schedule had allowed and will be going back.
Kathy was a truly phenomenal host. From her recommendations for places nearby to eat and visit (all excellent and adhering to Covid rules) to the breakfast she masterfully created every morning, our stay at Moondance was perfect. Best pumpkin waffles in the Hudson valley hands down. We happened to arrive on a weekend when no other guests were staying, and received an upgrade to our room because of it. The fireplace, jet tub jacuzzi, robes given, and coziness of the house truly felt like our own for a relaxing and replenishing weekend. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to return again in the future.
I wish I could give more stars! The whole property is gorgeous, the house is sparkling clean and so pretty. Kathy the host is amazing! She really made it feel like home. Any age couple would feel welcomed here. Perfect place for a weekend get away. Highly recommend. The room we stayed in was so cozy and warm. 10/10 stars!!!!
We had a wonderful weekend at Moondance! It’s a beautiful, charming and pristine B&B. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is coming to visit the area as a great place to stay. Kathy is an excellent host and incredibly accommodating. We had a few dietary restrictions and she made sure the (delicious!!) breakfast fit those needs. The breakfasts were huge and filling. She also has a coffee bar and snacks out all day including homemade baked treats. The room was very large and comfortable. Finally, the location is 5 out of 5 as it’s an easy distance from the town of New Paltz for dinners and exploring as well as close to the main hikes in the area. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Easily the best vacation room & board experience Ive had in the last 5 years. The house and rooms are in immaculate condition, the setting and ambiance are extremely peaceful, and the breakfast is second to none. Kathy really knows how to make folks feel at home, welcome, and completely relaxed. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway to New Paltz, and Im very much looking forward to my next stay here!
This place is beautiful. It is spacious clean and accommodating. As is the staff. The staff is warm and engaged and ready to do whatever they can to make your visit the best it could be.And breakfast is undeniably one of the best Ive had anywhere! Kathy was a wonderful host. Room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic every morning. The fireflies put on a beautiful show at night! She knows the area very well and was very helpful with suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Would definitely stay here again.

Its a beautiful and peaceful place. They greeted us as soon as we got there. I went with my wife for one night and we loved it. The hostess was great and knew where all the good places to go was. Cant wait to go back.
The innkeeper Kathy is an extremely gracious and friendly host and an awesome Baker as well. The rooms are super clean with all the bells and whistles. We have been there four times and its become an annual trip. Lots of things to do in the area as well.

We LOVED our stay at Moondance Ridge. The room and whole facility is HUGE, and Kathy is the most gracious hostess you could hope for. She has great modern amenities like wifi & Netflix if you want to stay in plus the town is within a mile if you want to venture. The breakfast was excellent and different both days. The best bed AND the best breakfast. Literally! Can’t beat the location for convenience to town and all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. But just as nice spending time in the lovely high-quality rooms. Just perfect!
Kathy really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She was very accommodating to my meat-free and dairy-free diet. She also helped us plan where to hike and what else to see and do in the area. You cant go wrong with the quiet location, whirlpool tubs in the room, or sauna.

2022-05-28If you need an amazing place for anything from a simple getaway to a special occasion, THIS IS THE PLACE! Kathy is one of the the nicest people that you will ever meet. I thought that my boyfriend and I were just going away to a surprise location for a night alone, and it was actually for him to propose. She acted totally nonchalant when we checked in, and then when we left to go to dinner, she set up our whole entire suite… candles, wine, chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals… She set up our hot tub, dimmed the lights, and turned on the fireplace. It was absolutely magical to walk into. The grounds are gorgeous, she makes a delicious breakfast, and she is literally the sweetest person. We already booked the same night next year to celebrate our engagement date. You will not be disappointed!

2022-03-27My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for our anniversary and we couldnt be happier. Kathy, the owner, was very attentive. I am gluten-free due to Celiac and she was able to accommodate my dietary needs. The place is very peaceful and immaculately clean. We cannot wait to come back!

2021-07-07Great location, close to main attractions and very quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day of adventures. Our room was clean and spacious. Kathy, the owner, is very friendly and makes amazing breakfasts! She even packed us parfaits for our early hike! And she has the inside scoop on access to the Mohonk Nature Preserve and lots of insight about the area. Very pet friendly. Our dog made friends with Kathy’s dog and our dog is picky. Stop looking book here!

2021-02-15My girlfriend and I found Moondance Ridge B&B for a long weekend getaway in February. We needed a break from the world and wanted a safe trip during covid. We couldnt have been happier with our stay! Kathy is an incredible host, and she has thought of everything her guests might need. She has taken extra covid precautions and we felt incredibly safe the entire time. Our room was beautiful, so clean and bright and very welcoming.Kathys breakfasts were delicious from start to finish and were a lovely way to start our days. There were ample tea and coffee options. Arnie makes the most delicious muffins, fresh out of the oven! Bonus: watch the birds at the feeders through the big picture windows while you eat!Kathy had lots of helpful recommendations to help fill out our own plans, including day passes to some of the fabulous preserves in the area. She is down to earth and very personable. She loves where she lives and it shows.We are already planning our next trip back to Moondance Ridge, this time in warmer weather to enjoy even more of the area and the magical Moondance grounds.
