I LOVE this store! They have great vegan shoes, clothes, & accessories! You walk in and feel comfortable immediately. You are able to shop at your leisure and dont worry, because they have many sizes & styles to choose from. If your size should be out, they can get your size fast! I was in on a Sunday and by Wednesday they had called. Thanks again Mooches! You people are the best!
I love this place. The staff are knowledgeable, the store maintains a wide variety of vegan shoes from a collection of different manufacturers, and there is a shop cat. What more can you ask for out of a brick and mortar vegan shoe store in 2018. No more shipping ill fitting shoes and blind purchasing off the internet. Try before you buy at MooShoes. Plus its physically connected to the illustrious Orchard Grocery so after you get your new vegan shoes you can get hot vegan sandwiches, soft serve ice cream, and tons of plant based meat and dairy substites form the refrigerators.
Vegan shoe store. I have ordered from their website but did not expect the physical location go have all the shoes they have available online, to my surprise, they did. Which was great to be able to try the shoes on first. Staff was helpful and an adorable cat was napping on the counter. They also have bags, t shirts, belts and other vegan clothing/accessories available. Prices are the same as online. If you are within proximity to NYC, definitely go to the store instead of just ordering from the site.
Haven for cruelty-free shoes and accessories. Although other stores may carry some of the same products, I love that at Moo Shoes you dont have to wonder if what youre buying is vegan. Great selection of styles and sizes. Most people think of non-leather shoes as being cheap and uncomfortable. This place proves thats not so! Worth the trip to Orchard Street if you have any pangs about making the skin of innocent beings part of your fashion statement.
If you are a vegan, this is the place for you!!! They offer a wide variety of vegan shoes, belts, bags, purses, accessories and apparel at affordable prices! Its a heaven for the vegan lover who want to be kind to animals and NOT wear them!! And they have this super adorable cat that greats you at the door! It does not get better than that! :)
Did you know that MooShoes split and now has a vegan grocery addition? The vegan shoe store is still in business, and now animal rights lovers can head next door for a seriously excellent selection of vegan treats, cheeses, and grocery items. The only thing to complain about might be the prices, but such is to be expected from a vegan boutique in the city. Try the tofu ricotta ravioli, the coconut white chocolate bar, and the soft serve ice cream.
Its like shoes heaven for vegans. However its very expensive, and especially during the summer, you can find many cheaper alternatives in other stores. I bought there fancy shoes to wear to the office, so I dont to keep explaining that Im vegan and wont wear leather shoes.
Whats not to like about this place? They have ethically-made wares, and know the provenance behind them. Their selection boasts a range of prices, from budget to higher-end, and their shop staff (both human and cat) are friendly to boot. I feel good about shopping here, and I think you will too. Just make sure you really want what youre getting, because the return policy is a bit harsh.
Im a big fan of the products offered by Mooshoes and have made a point of buying my last couple pairs of boots from their store. Unfortunately, Ive learned that their customer service leaves something to be desired.Last year I bought a pair of Vegetarian Shoes brand boots, which turned out to have defective toe seams. I wrote to Mooshoes... twice... and provided photos and details. Eventually I heard back from someone named Lisa who said that they were contacting the manufacturer and would let [me] know as soon as we hear back. Well, that was the last time I ever heard from anyone at Mooshoes. After two months of silent treatment and multiple requests for an update, I gave up.Im incredibly disappointed because I loved this store. But I wont be buying another pair of shoes from a business that cant be bothered to follow up with me, let alone replace the defective product they sold me.
So glad this place exists! Ive scoured the Earth, traveling to the four corners of Mordor just to find a pair that didnt involve killing a cow. And here we have heaps of them.Theyve got a range of options, from dress shoes to boots to a few more casual (but still classy) pairs. Their selection for men is pretty extensive. Theyve also got some accessories, like belts, handbags, backpacks, and thin wallets. I picked up a Baggu shoulder bag. Faux leather belts are incredibly hard to find, so Im glad they have them, although the one I looked at was $75.I got dress shoes that look quite elegant. Many of the dress shoes for men are tacky, with blocky toes and rims on the bottom. Also, some warp strangely when you try them on (poorly designed, I think, or perhaps the material doesnt bend well). The product is very, very expensive. Around $110 to $170 (a few pairs farther out, like $65 and $260). Im willing to eat the cost because having responsibly-sourced shoes is more important than me, but this will be a non-starter for many. Id love if someone manufactured non-leather shoes (they are plastic, after all) and sold them at mass market places. Vegetarianism shouldnt be the exclusive domain of the wealthy. They also have limited sizes of some pairs. You can get added to a waiting list if they dont have your size. Most of the shoes are imported from Europe, so they use European sizes. The staff can help you out. I got a size lower than was recommended (Im a US 12 / EU 45, but EU 44 fit more snugly).Staff are rather icy at first, but I bonded with the cashier over T-Swift. Theyve also got a cute cat roaming around, although it sticks to itself. I wanted to pet it!Giving this extra stars because theyre doing something so important. Im so glad they exist.
OUTSTANDING!!! Im absolutely overjoyed with my purchase from MSs! Ordering is so simple and easy, very quick fulfillment and shipping. The Ahimsa Moc Loafers are stunning! These are substantial, sturdy shoes crafted from best quality materials. The workmanship is truly exquisite and I am completely delighted with the shoes and service from MSs!! Sincere Gratitude, John Kalinowsky.
I cannot write enough good things about this place. I have never been at the store, but yesterday I decided to use a gift certificate I was given for my birthday. Customer service exceeded my expectations, they rushed my order without additional fees for the items in NYC, and I received everything next day (I am on long island). I am very pleased by the way they handled my order and with all the emails keeping me updated. I will probably visit the store soon.
This is written as a review of their website and the attempt at purchasing a gift card online. Ive never set foot inside their retail store, but their attempt at ecommerce is a complete fail. Despite three separate attempts, they seem completely incapable of emailing out an electronic gift card.First, I filled out the info online and it said it would email the gift card to my brother. When he said he didnt receive it, I phoned their friendly customer service rep who apologized and said theyd resend to both his email address and mine. No dice. I then contacted them again, another friendly rep said theyd cancel the first card and set up an entire new transaction and email the gift card and confirm to our respective email accounts. Another promise unfulfilled. If I were you, stick to the brick and mortar.

2018-06-11The quality of the footwear here is genuinely impressive. Vegan shoes have come a long way over the past decade or so from being kind of chintzy alternatives to now being really admirably stylish and well constructed. The quality of the synthetic leather itself is pretty great, and the soles are fantastic as well, ranging from crepe soles to wooden heels, and vibram made rubber outsoles. It no longer feels like a compromise to buy vegan shoes and theyre good enough to be comparable to non vegan alternatives. That said, the shoes are very expensive, most costing more than $100. With that price tag you at least know you get good shoes made under ethical standards. Id give the store 5 stars, but the employees werent that nice.

2020-02-21A fantastic one-stop shop for vegan shoes and bags. Theyve been going strong for over a decade, and its so nice to see a store focused on ethical designs to be going strong and continually pushing themselves to make a bigger impact. (p.s. see their vegan deli Orchard Grocer next door!).

2018-05-06The shop was very interesting for us as they sell shoes from different brands from what what you see in vegan shops in Europe. We bought 2 pairs of shoes :) The staff was friendly and they had cats in there! Awesome :)

2021-12-12I ordered my size vegan Doc Martens black 1460 and it fits wonderfully. They shipped it from NYC down to Central FL. These boots rock! Vegan for life! Vegan till death!

2018-05-17So far Ive gotten a belt, sneakers, boots and even chap stick here. The quality of all the items is excellent.I spoke with a friend of mine who told me I was going too far for getting vegan sneakers. When I mentioned I bought them for only about $60 at MooShoes, I was no longer considered an extremist.MooShoes carries a line of vegan, organic chap stick called Hurraw! that is my favorite. Theres several flavors...so far, Ive tried chai spice and “blue chamomile vanilla”. Out of the two, chai spice is my favorite.

2021-07-05Great place for vegan lifestyle goods. If people start thinking about where their clothes and shoes come from then maybe there can be change in this world. The alternative is that people drone on and ignore the fires in the west, increasing temperatures, and more severe storms on this planet. Ill get off my high horse for now and say, they have really cool stuff here and if you shop here youre officially really cool to me.

2021-01-14Beautiful store, cruelty free AND vegan, a hard combination to find in quality products. Although, their prices are insane especially for products that arent even their own brand, like Matt&Nat or almost any shoe brand in there. Bought a pair of sneaks from Saucony that were priced at $15 more than what the brand itself sells it for. Same goes for the M&N products, they dont run for as much as in this store (at least not all of them). Id double check online for certain products before getting them here. Still love the store & buy other things here

2019-11-14Wow. This place is stellar, paired with the mini grocery store next door, Orchard Grocer, with the delicious food they prepare. I just bought the cutest and very comfy black ankle boots from BC Footwear. Very friendly customer service. Nice selection of footwear for men and women w/o being overwhelming. I will definitely be back for future purchases (and food) :)

2017-06-15I had a great experience here-the staff were incredibly pleasant, and the shoes are high quality and not exorbitantly priced. Its not easy to find good vegan shoes, but everything at MooShoes was well-made, and proves that leather-free shoes dont have to seem cheap or low quality. They also have really great clothes (also all vegan, obviously).
