I always enjoy visiting Morehead Honda. They are so friendly and accommodating. We recently purchased a new vehicle trading in another Honda model, and the experience was wonderful. Alex A. Is such an amazing person to work with, as he made a stressful situation full of paperwork as easy for us as it could be, very knowledgeable about the vehicles and recommendations were on point to what we were needing. Kenny is wonderful as well, and so knowledgeable. Mike in finance is terrific, and I enjoyed how he took care of us and was so attentive to what we could need in the future with our car. Definitely will visit when is time to purchase another vehicle. Thank you guys for everything.
Lou Barassi is the reason we keep coming back when purchasing a new vehicle. He has sold us 4 cars, and it was a positive experience each time. He is down to earth, straightforward, and not pushy. We will be looking for him next year when our son is ready to purchase a car!1/31/21Have to change my review unfortunately. After a good experience working with Lou, I had reached out to him last year regarding purchasing a vehicle for my son. I did not hear from him and reached out to him three more times and still nothing. At one point he did mention that he did not have what I was looking for, but after several months I went online and did see that Morehead Honda had cars in stock that fit my criteria. With consideration as to what is going on in our world currently, I hope the lack of communication was not due to any unfortunate situations regarding Lou. I did see him at the Morehead Honda premises several months ago, so I assumed he was in good health and had simply neglected to contact me. I ended up going to another dealership where I purchased a beautiful 2017 Honda Civic for my son.Perhaps Morehead Honda was having a very successful year with their car sales, and their sales people did not feel the need to make as much of an effort reaching out to former customers. Whatever the reason it was very disappointing to have been forgotten after being such a loyal customer.2/14/22My son purchased a vehicle in January from Morehead Honda. In light of what is going on with the auto industry and the lack of cars, we didn’t really have a lot of places to choose from. Morehead happened to be the only place that had a vehicle that fit his budget and specifications. As my previous reviews state, we had better experiences in the past with Morehead, but they have declined greatly as far as efficiency and integrity. The salesman, Alex, was courteous, friendly, and I do not have any issue with him. My issue is with Mike, The financial person. When my son and I sat down to sign the papers, there was no mention of a service contract. My son was not asked if he wanted one. There was friendly conversation, and in retrospect I wonder if this was a distraction. My son was not feeling good that day, so after signing the paperwork and giving it a cursory glance, everything looked good and we went home. When we went over the paperwork later on we discovered a $2000 charge for a service contract that again was never offered nor discussed. When we called we were told that the financing would not go through unless we purchased that because of the age of the car. After research, we found that this was not in fact true. It is an old trick that finance guys use. We ended up going back and resigning paperwork and the charge was taken off. I had mentioned several times that our mailing address was different than our physical, and I emphasized this needed to be correct on the form so we would get the payment booklet from the bank. As of today we had not received the payment booklet, and I spoke to the bank and of course the wrong address was given to them. What a shame. If I were part of the Morehead family I would be embarrassed to have my name tarnished this way.
I recently went in to inquire about purchasing a vehicle as I was upside down in my trade and wanted to get in a new car. They have a lot of variety on the lot to choose from how ever the deal did not work and I ended up getting a 2020 Honda Accord at a GREAT deal and low interest from Friendly Honda. I say that to say.. Morehead Honda could have explored different options in terms of financing and made suggestions of different cars to ensure a deal. The service I received was poor although my sales rep was pleasant. They were more focused on me putting a down payment/deposit down which I have not received my refund yet and did not try to find a car that would be to my liking and the banks liking. I put down LESS and left with a BETTER car and received better service at Friendly Honda!!! I did not receive even half of the effort at Morehead that Friendly put in. I would recommend Morehead only if you have stellar credit and no challenging things that would set back the deal as they dont care to accommodate challenging situations. Thank you.
I normally never do this, but I feel as if it is necessary. Me and my wife drove more than 100 miles to go hiking in Lake Minnewaska. As we got to the park, I noticed a nail sticking out of my tire. I decided to call the closest dealership which was Morehead Honda and spoke to a Chris in the parts department who stated they have the tire in stock. I called the service department and spoke to an Yvonne and asked if we can come in and was told there will be a wait as they normally don’t do walk-ins and the shop closes at 6pm (Saturday 10/9/2021). As we were done with our hike around 3pm, I called back, and Yvonne stated that they cannot see us as they are “backed up”. Me and my wife were shocked. We explained that we live more than 100+ miles and all we needed is a replacement tire and her reply was “Sorry there is nothing we can do”. It’s unfortunate how this review could have been 5 stars but simply being refused service and expected to drive 100+ miles back on a spare tire is just nonsense.
At Morehead today and they are cheaters. First told just need to clean battery connection 43.00 when I return bc dashboard tells me charging system not working which is y I came in the first place return get told by Justin Martinez a lie. Shows me the battery cable which really was not cleaned by Morehead cleaned by tow people today. But ok then show a woman a bogus machine which indicated I need new battery and alternator. Again bogus take to reputable mechanic instead 1,700.00 charge by Morehead it’s a new battery and oil change $283. And a print out of snap on test report no need for alternator. How do you live with yourselves. Also Jennifer Alfasso service manager not helpful either good for nothing no support blame a mechanic who is not there Dispute photos Morehead !!!
I came to Morehead at 730am on a Monday morning without an appointment looking to get my vehicle repaired as it was throwing some cylinder misfiring codes at the code reader and making the car not drivable at highway speeds. I was told that the dealership was not taking anyone without an appointment, so I decided to inquire with the parts desk about the necessary parts in order to fix the issue myself. I was having a conversation with the gentleman at the parts desk regarding inventory on specific parts to fix my cars mechanical issue. After getting some prices and giving my call back information I left the dealership because due to covid some parts I needed were not in stock. I had already missed a day of work, and didnt have another vehicle to drive so my only option was done the dealer to repair the car or me attempt to fix it myself, but without the necessary parts in stock I was left without a plan B.Upon my drive home I received a call from Jacqueline, a service advisor from Morehead Honda, and she advised me that she overheard my conversation with the parts department and advised me that my repair would be covered under the emissions warranty and no out of pocket expense would be needed by me. She even had a loaner vehicle waiting for me to alleviate my stress of figuring out how I would get to work. She directed me to turn back around and come back to the dealership and she would make an appointment for me and have the loaner vehicle ready to go. I took her recommendation and drove back to the dealership where she met me in the service bay. We sat and did some paperwork, I left her my vehicle and I drove away in the loaner no longer worried about how I would get my car repaired or how I would make it to work. All because Jacqueline politely eavesdropped on my conversation with the parts desk and decided to go above and beyond expectations by making my problem her problem and reaching out to me and offering me an absolutely pleasant and worry free solution. She was delightful and calming as well as very sympathetic to my situation and she should be acknowledged for her extraordinary effort to help a customer as well as being a positive reflection of the Morehead dealership and their service department.Thank YOU Jacqueline! You have no idea how much your phone call meant to me!!!
My new car purchase was very satisfying at Morehead. People were all pleasant and very polite. I did not feel any pressure and sales consultant Suzette Panagulis was really superb. She was the first to contact me after I did my online purchase interest. She even came in to help me on a scheduled day off. I will recommend Morehead to friends and family as I did not have such a great experience at another local Honda dealership
If you are taking your car in for service, dont park in the lot, just drive into the service bay. They will take your information and direct you inside to speak with a service advisor. After that you can wait for your car to be finished or take the shuttle provided. Large waiting area with a tv, they have WiFi, but not working when I went. Definitely recommend for your Honda service.
Absolute worst dealership experience. My family has purchased a few cars from this dealership. So my brothers car is under warranty and is towed in for a misfire. Anyone who knows anything about cars knows to check the plugs and coils first since there was a diagnostic code for a misfire. But the clueless manager not going to mention any names (Rob Morehead) decides to clear the code and tells me the code didn’t come back on. Tells my brother nothing is wrong with the car and to pick it up while giving my brother an attitude. My brother picks up the car and not even a mile down the road the car misfires AGAIN and goes into limp mode. So my brother obviously frustrated like anyone would be goes into the dealership and is refused service on his car. How professional is that? They can’t fix a simple misfire! I’m a mechanic myself and he only went there since the car was under warranty. It took my shop 10 minutes to diagnose the car after he was refused service at this joke of a dealership. Sorry for the long rant but please people.... never buy a car here or let them work on your car. Bring it to a real shop or atleast a better dealership. These guys can’t fix a sandwich. I would never trust them with a car. I even reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor avoid this place
I totally recommend Morehead Honda. The atmosphere there is very relaxed. The Service Department is professional and accommodating. Our salesman, Douglas Matthews, listened to our needs for a vehicle. After a very detailed discussion, we decided on a Pilot. We are very satisfied with the car, and appreciate the time he took to explain its features, and to secure our loan with the lowest interest. In particular, we appreciated his calm, no pressure approach. I highly recommend him.
The Service department at Morehead Honda is absolutely amazing! It’s very clean and organized. Whatever repair or service you need to be done to your vehicle is done promptly and efficiently. The staff members are extremely kind, welcoming and attentive. I needed an oil change and the service advisor, Jackie, made sure my visit went smoothly. She answered all of my questions and attended to my concerns regarding my vehicle. Highly recommend!
I made an appointment for the am for a simple oil change and what they said was a minute fix on a recall. On the phone they told me 30 minutes. I was here for over 2 hours and never even got an update. Bob, at the start of the experience seemed not to be in a rush and it was like I was inconveniencing him about being there. Then I was put with Chris, a so called service professional, he was far from it. I’d have to say this will be the last time I go there and I will tell the many other Honda owners that I know to avoid the place as well.
They always gives me good business. Today when I stopped by to get my tire pressure light checked the guy checked right away. By the way whatever he did it worked when I drove 25mi. Like he said the light went out and it had been like that for weeks and today is the first time it went off in weeks. Thanks Again.
Terrible terrible service for oil change! I called 2 days ahead to schedule an appointment for early morning so I could get back home and get some work done. I also gave the auto department the VIN number for the two cars undergoing the oil change. When I arrived there I waited 2 HOURS for the FILTERS to REACH THERE. Then another HOUR for the oil change to happen. SO I waited THREE whole hours stuck in that dealership when I needed to get work done at home. They had no proper excuse and when I asked for some kind of reimbursement they laughed at me. Competitive prices for full synthetic oil (which is still pretty expensive) is not worth poor customer service. I am sure they did not spend more than 15 min on each car because they were rolling out cars all day! Again I would not go to this dealership for an oil change!
Morehead Honda gave me an amazing experience when purchasing my Honda Civic Sport during the summer. I worked with Doug Matthews who made sure I had everything I needed, and made the process so simple for us. He was such a huge part of my decision of going with the car, and I couldn’t be happier to have worked with him on purchasing it. I highly recommended asking for Doug if you are looking to head in for a car, he’ll help you out with anything you need!
I absolutely HATE car shopping!! I had the most amazing experience at Morehead Honda. Mark and Doug were extremely nice and easy to deal with. They didn’t want exactly what I wanted there as far as a color and they got me exactly what I wanted and gave me a great deal on a Sunday in about a total of 30 minutes! Our family looks forward to doing future business there!
Save your time and go elsewhere. I went for a standard oil change and maintenance after hitting a mileage mark. I was told it would take about an hour so I sat and waited. After 90 mins, I asked for a status and was told my car hadnt even been serviced yet. I was asked if I wanted to wait or leave. They didnt even offer to give me free service after wasting 90 minutes of my time. So I left and will never return again.
4/15/19...Utterly disappointed. Been driving Honda since 1980. The vehicles have been great for us. We have leased perhaps 8 vehicles from Morehead. They started calling in November for an early termination. The vehicles that I saw advertised didnt exist. They were more interested in moving a more costly vehicle. Twice this happened. So..I show up to return the vehicle. Literally no problems....other than no questions, such as..did you enjoy the vehicle?, or could I interest you in another vehicle? Merely...youre all set...Yes, I was. Twenty years of customer just walked out the door........The service was actually great. My only complaint is that they always want a survey completed, it must always be perfect, and they hound you like a dog seeking its completion. So, if I could make a suggestion, concentrate on the continued good service and forget the meaningless survey.
Recently went there to get my oil changed amongst a few other things look at. The service department was very friendly but the best part was the advisor i had, Brittany was such a pleasure to work with. Very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. I usually dont care to review places as its not in my nature but after the experience i had, i will definitely go back as often as possible. Keep up having great employees like her!
Another 5 star experience from Mark & his team. I don’t own a Honda, but from the moment I set up my 2nd service appointment with Martha, I was treated as if I was apart of the Honda family. Jackie my service advisor took care of me during my entire experience while I was waiting for my vehicle to be finished keeping me updated throughout my visit letting me know how much longer until my service was complete. This establishment goes above and beyond for its customers providing speedy & exceptional service. I came in for an oil change & NYS inspection, once again that’s what I received, no sales pitches for additional products/services etc like normal mechanic shops. Mark & the Morehead Honda team are doing an excellent job & the pricing is the BEST in the area. Honda or No Honda, I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for any service your vehicle might need.
Be very careful when considering this dealership. I bought a car from them about 6 months ago, and the experience up to and during the purchase was pleasant. I got a good price, and my calls or emails were always returned immediately. However, the first week or so I had the car I noticed something wasnt quite right, so I called my salesman and was basically blown off. I then tried the internet saleswoman who I started the purchase with, and she assured me she would get me in touch with the salesman who would take care of my concerns. I never heard from anyone. I decided to deal with the issue because it isnt a major problem, but recently over the holidays my wife and I were talking and we regretted buying the model we bought, so I thought it was at least worth the phone call to consider upgrading the car if possible. Once again I left a voicemail for my salesman, and a voicemail and email to the internet saleswoman over a week ago, and have yet to receive anything in return.Anyway, it appears like this dealership will do everything they need to do to earn your business, but nothing to hold onto it. Ive been buying and/or leasing Honda cars for the past 20 years, and I always went to the same dealership, but this time I went to Morehead because they gave me a much better deal. Turns out the $15-$20 per month Im saving isnt worth it... Id gladly pay more to know that Ill be treated in a manner in which it appears they want return business. Ill most likely return to the old dealership for future purchases, and never recommend Morehead to anyone.
Ive received decent service here in the past. I actually bought my Type R here and they were very nice. However I walked in a few months ago for an oil change and ended up waiting several hours with no update. And today I walked in for fear of a leak on my tire. I told them the tire was already plugged but I wanted to patch it, they comforted me that they would handle it. And suggested getting my inspection done. I was so worried about the tire I forgot that the inspection wouldnt pass with my current tints. They knowingly did the inspection, failed my car and charged me for it. And to top it off then said that it was unsafe to patch a car thats been plugged already and refused to do anything, Despite the fact that I told them about the plug when I first dropped the car off. So I went in with one problem(tire leak), and walked out with two problems (tire leak & failed inspection). They didnt do anything but make me waste my time, hustle me out of my money and force a bigger issue on me.
5 star pricing and 5 star service. I dont even own a Honda but from the moment I set up my service appointment with Amanda I was treated as if I was apart of the Honda family and I own a Nissan. I was told 1 price and the price NEVER changed from the moment I called in to the moment my service was complete. Mike my service advisor took care of me as if I was a King during my entire experience while waiting for my vehicle to be finished. This establishment goes above and beyond for its customers. I came for an oil change and thats exactly what I received, no sales pitches for additional products/services etc. Mark and the Morehead Honda team are doing an excellent job and the pricing is the BEST in the area for an oil change. Honda or No Honda, I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle here.
My husband and I scheduled appointments for routine maintenance for the first time at Morehead Honda. Also to evaluate a factory defect on my husbands front bumper on his leased 2019Honda Accord. A new part was ordered-appointment scheduled. Part was replaced, when we returned to pick up his car we noticed a chip to the metal in the right front fender where the part was replaced. We immediately notified a gentleman from service and he notified Jennifer Alfasso - the service manager, who came out and looked at the damage and took photos. Stated she would call me Tuesday evening after she spoke with a third party scratch/dent repair service named Joe Dent. Jennifer stated Joe Dent only comes on Tuesday. Tuesday comes- no phone call. Husband calls, Jennifer stated that she did not have a chance to speak to Joe Dent and she would call him back Thursday. Thursday evening no phone call, my husband calls speaks with original service advisor Michael Hubert , Michael informed my husband that Jennifer has been out sick and would call Joe Dent to see if he could take care of this on a Saturday. To make a very long story short we continually get the run around from every personListed in this review! It has been three weeks!!!!! With no correspondence what so ever. STAY AWAY from this service mill operation!!!!!!!
I bought a used Honda Pilot. Great condition and awesome service. If you are buying a Honda, I recommend talking or setting up an appointment with sales rep. Alonzo. Alonzo made the entire process easy and very friendly. I walk into the store as an informed buyer so I was on the look out for any pressure tactics or funny business. Alonzo was a true professional, never made me feel I had to fight for every penny on a fair deal. After, I purchase the car. He made sure that some requests I made were done properly. I am very impress with Alonzo work ethics and the entire staff. I would certainly go back and buy another car from them. I dont recommend many things to friend but I will recommend Morehead Honda to my friends.
Although I may be a bit biased, overall my entire sales process from beginning to end was seamless. I bought and traded 2 cars in to Morehead, and would reccomend my salesmen Douglas Matthews and finance manager Dan to anyone out there looking to buy a car but not from a slimy salesman . Doug is a family man first, and his approach shows just that. He cares about YOU and your family, not just the numbers. Great dealership. Great salesman recently I had to extend my lease and Douglas Matthews made this process seamless. I plan on renewing it one more time with his help and then getting into a new lease. I wouldnt trust anybody else to get me through this process.
I love my new car and Doug Matthews played a large role in my decision to buy a Honda Pilot. He was very helpful, paid close attention to my questions and answered them very professionally. I was very impressed with him and found the whole process of buying a car delightful. I plan to buy any future cars from Doug at Morehead Honda!
Love morehead Honda! I’ve lease two vehicles at this dealership and will not deal with anyone other than Joey!!! He is the best. Always goes above and beyond. Very personable and knowledgeable. Joey definitely shows how much he loves his job & appreciates his customers!
Was recently at Morehead for my oil change. While I do think they could improve on the snacks and wifi, I want to give credit to my advisor Brittany. She made the experience less dreadful. In the past Ive had appointments for a simple oil change and been left waiting in anticipation for when I would be told my car was finished. Brittany was prompt and efficient, she made sure to not only keep me posted on the status of my car but she also informed me of any service I would need in the near future. Awesome job Brittany!
I took my honda there because i was hearing a rattling sound everytime i pressed on the gas. The service advisor called me and told me that part a was bad and it will cost me $500 to buy a new part a along with 3hrs of labor. So i gave them the ok to fix it, and the bill came out to $900. After paying the bill i went out to my car and heard the same rattling sound when i pressed on the gas. I went and told the service advisor and he told me the tech that worked on the car will be in tomorrow so i left the car.The next day the service advisor called me and told me that part a was bad but part b and part c was actually causing the rattling. Now Im little confused on what exactly is going on so i went down to the dealership (moorehead honda) to get some clarity. And when i arrived this is when all of their stories didnt match up.First the service advisor said he wasnt sure of the sound i was hearing and tried to pass blame on the tech. Then the owner got involved and said the new part a was bad and they swapped out for another part a. Then in the same conversation he said part a is going bad but part b and c is making the sound your hearing. Then he had me talk to the tech who who explained to me that he was chasing a noise heard when the car was idling.I told him i didnt hear a noise when idling and thats not what i brought the car to them for. He said part a was nt making that sound but was going bad and that it needs to be changed soon. I told him since your telling me part b and c is making the sound, just fix those parts. So in short they was trying to get me to spend 900 on part and labor for no reason when in fact the part awas working fine. I told them to just fix the problem i brought it in for so they had to remove part a and put the original part a back in.Then to top it all off the service advisor was charging me an extra hour of labor (diagnostic fee) when it was supposed to be waived because i agree to fix the problem originally.I hate posting bad reviews but these guys tried to rob me and dont appreciate that. And after calling them out on all their mistakes they didnt even apologize or try to make it right. By the way part b and c with labor cost $450 while part a with labor was 900. Theives smh
I cant believe Im saying this, but I highly enjoyed my car purchasing experience that I had. I had the pleasure to work with Joey, even though hes a Jets fan (Go Bills!) he was funny and very attentive to what I needed. What initially drew me to Morehead Honda was the free lifetime oil changes, what will keep me is the service I received when I first entered.
My wife and I purchased our new Pilot at Morehead with Joey. He was great, emailed me pricing so we didnt have to go back and fourth, he made it a simple transaction for us. Dan in finance was very through and helpful also. I recommend Joey from Morehead Honda to anyone purchasing a new vehicle.
Stopped in while car shopping. I had an excellent experience with Lew Borassi! He was very knowledgeable, personable and was able to answer all my questions. He also quickly followed up with some questions I had as well. Morehead and Lew is a great combination to work with when looking for a very pleasant experience when purchasing a new vehicle. I recommend highly!!
Douglas Matthews sold me a Honda Accord. I found him to be completely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took the time to explain every feature of the vehicle and made sure that I understood all about my new car. I highly recommend Douglas as a salesman, and will certainly return to buy another car from him.
Just turned in my 2016 Honda Civic lease for a brand new 2019 today. My sales person Doug Matthews was so helpful, he made the whole process the smoothest, easiest and quickest I have ever experienced! The same with Mike in finance and Suzette who helped me get it ready to drive off the lot! They’re all so friendly there, just the best! Definitely recommend, 5 stars for sure!
This place is the worst by far bad Customer service. Had a back order on a part. No loaner cars available from a establishment where 2 cars was brought and regular matinence service is done. Didnt even show any curiosity for. Service Manager JENNIFER gave me the brush off.No help with my situation. Had to spend for a rental. Will tell my friends and family that live in the Newburgh/New Windsor area to not visit them take their business elsewhere
My wife and I recently purchased a 2019 Honda Odyssey at Morehead Honda. We have done business with this dealership for years and have felt our trade-ins have been given fair value and our budget were taken seriously. Our salesperson Laura was patient and easy to work with. There is no reason we wouldn’t go back in the future.
Frank in the sales department is wonderful! The service department is extremely busy and it is difficult to get through to make an appointment. And when you do get through, dont expect to get an appointment that same week. That being said, the staff is extremely nice and helpful.
I have been going to Morehead Honda for YEARS. There is no one I trust more than Doug Matthews! When I was in a tough spot with another vehicle I owned, Doug coached me through all the steps it would take to get back into a Honda. He didn’t push me into the first deal he could get, he offered me amazing advice, was very honest with me, and made the extremely complicated process of buying a car (in my opinion) so easy and so simple. His patience was limitless. He will never know how grateful I am!! I will always come back to Doug whenever my family needs a vehicle!
Id like to think Im a patient man, I take my time to make sure Im happy with my purchase. That is what I got from our salesman, Joey. A patient man who made us feel comfortable and not like we were being rushed in any way. He made sure mine and my wifes needs were met. I highly recommend Joey and everyone else there who made our car buying experience, a pleasant one.
I love morehead Honda! Not only are their vehicles outstanding, the staff is as well. Lew is phenomenal, his knowledge and experience is unbelievable. He makes car buying seem like a treat, not a chore or hassle! Can’t wait to tell friends and family where to buy their next car!
After test driving a Toyota at a dealership nearby, I went to Morehead to test drive a Honda. Although I didnt end up choosing this particular car, my experience here was outstanding. The showroom is small, but it was really comfortable! Lighting and temperature were spot on, and the old school music just right. There were clusters of pink & white balloons out for breast cancer awareness and they gave a super friendly greeting when I walked in. I could tell the staff was like family. I overheard one guy asking a colleague for trusted car advice for a friend. They seemed like they were actually working, yet genuinely happy doing it. Staff was knowledgeable and warm, without that creepy salesperson= buy something from me. The associate that helped me was easy to talk to, honest, and gave me a great test drive route. Too bad the car wasnt a perfect match for me, I wouldve been very happy buying from this location.
I just went in to purchase a Honda civic Si and all I can say is that Mark Etri is the best! I was very undecided on the car I wanted and Mark never rushed or pressured me. He provided my with all the information I needed to help me make my decision. He was so friendly and patient and always had a smile on his face. He made the process so easy and comfortable. He made me feel like I was important and my purchase was more about finding the perfect fit for me versus him just trying to close a sale. The rest of the staff was very personable as well. I would absolutely be back to purchase another car in the future from Mark and the Morehead team.
Even though my fiancee and I ended up backing out of our sale, we really enjoyed working with Giovanni. He was super helpful and made the entire situation less stressful. We wish nothing but the best for him with this company/dealership. Hopefully we can work with him again in the future.
The service department are bunch of thieves theyre all in it together. I can only guarantee you that if you go in there with a good car for minor service you will come out with more repairs needed than when you went in. I truly believe they sabotage the cars in order for the service department to make more money. Theres no one to complain to because they are all in it together everybody gets a piece of the pie.! NEVER EVER will they see any of my cars again.
There is honestly no other place I will be taking my car too. The service department is amazing, but I had a great service advisor named Jackie Olsen who made my experience a 5+ star. I had to bring my cranky 2year old to an oil change appointment, and she gave him popcorn and some crayons to help make the appointment easier. Before I knew it my car was done. I honestly could not say how grateful I was for her help and the amazing service. She was caring and went above and beyond her duties! It’s people like her that will have this customer coming back!
I absolutely continue to love my CRV Honda. I bought it 2 years ago from Doug Matthews. Doug continues to check up on me and inform me of the current deals and offers. If it wasnt for Doug I am not sure I would have purchased my Honda. I also have to comment on the excellent service department they have as well. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Honestly, buying a car is never my favorite experience. It is always stressful, I feel like we always leave disappointed, and we never fully understand why. That all changed when we started going to Doug Matthews for any car buying help we needed. He made everything so easy to understand, and didn’t try to just push a car on me. We never leave disappointed after seeing Doug. Only happy and more knowledgeable. So grateful for all his help to our family, and we recommend him to everyone we know!
Service staff and sales staff are always super friendly and helpful. Service is prompt and the waiting room is stocked with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and creamer. I am now on my second car from them and am very pleased. They called a few months into having my car to make sure everything was going well. Would definitely reccomended
Brought a car on September 17, 2019, from this dealership the customer service was excellent the people were very pleasant the salesman Kenny Lawrence who helped us was very patient and courteous. I would highly recommend this dealership to someone and would happily buy another car from Morehead Honda in the future.
If I could rank them even lower I would. The work that was done was adequate. The service manager Chris leaves a lot to be desired. I had purchased 4 tires and had them mounted and installed . By the next morning 3 of the 4 tires were completely flat. I had a friend re fill the the tires I could hear the air leaking out. I missed work that day and brought the vehicle back to Honda the then service manager Dean poncaro gave me a 375.00 credit for my time and inconvenience. I recently went back against my better judgement and needed work done on my brakes. When I went to pay I explained to the advisor I had a 375.00 credit issued by me poncaro. The service advisor checked my account and there was no notation. Luckily I had saved the email and presented it to the service advisor. He said he would present it to the service manager. After about a 15 -20 minute wait the service manager Chris came over and advised me he would not honor the previous managers credit and there was absolutely nothing he would do for me. After bringing my car there for 5 years I will never go back and I suggest you do not use them as they do not keep their promises.
Buying a car is usually an occasion to go to a dealer, take a test drive, talk and negotiate a deal, and leave with a new vehicle. Unfortunately with all the recent events, that once enjoyable experience has been temporarily put on hold. With all the craziness Morehead Honda, especially Kenny and Geovanni, made buying a new car a smooth and fast process. From negotiating and receiving a very good offer from Kenny, to Geovanni’s constant back and forth emails and phone calls helping to get the deal done. These two guys were always there whenever you needed something. Thanks again for all the help in helping me buy a new car.
Came all the way from PA to Morehead Honda for a great buying experience ! The staff was top notch! Mike D went above and beyond to make sure my daughters first car was the perfect fit for her! Certified Used HRV looked like it was brand new ! The detailing done to the car was excellent! Thank you all for such a positive experience, our daughter is thrilled and so are we! We will be back !
Stopped in for an oil change and had some time to waste. I was walking through the showroom and was greeted by a sales rep named Joey. I told him I wasnt looking to buy but he was still happy to answer my questions. My lease will be ending in about a year but you can bet I will be going back to Morehead Honda. Excellent service
Car buying can be the most stressful, exhausting and expensive process. Doug Matthews honestly took that stress off my shoulders and placed it on his ... literally. I would say purchasing my civic was a laid back and enjoyable experience. I set a monthly payment for myself and see if they can meet it and they did and better! Not to mention he’s very sweet and funny and a great conversation starter. I’m glad I stopped in after having my doubts but no review here could change my mind I needed to have my own experience with Morehead Honda. And Douglas Matthews set that bar very high for me. Thanks again! God bless and goodluck on future business!
I received a recall notice from Honda for the battery sensor on my car approximately two months ago. I called to make an appointment and asked if they had the replacement part as I didnt want the temporary fix of applying adhesive. I was told that they did. Unfortunately I needed to change the appointment date and talked to a different person. I again asked if they had the replacement part and was assured that they did. I arrived this morning and some men who spoke limited English started checking my car over. I explained that I was there for the recall. They continued on and left me standing there. Finally, a service person came in and I again said that I was there for the recall and asked what they were doing to my car. Another man walked by and told me that I could go somewhere else if I wasnt happy. I told him that it wasnt neccesary to be rude and he kept on walking. The service desk girl said to have a seat in the waiting room. 45 minutes later my name was called and I asked what was done. She said it was a complimentary service to check the car and that an adhesive was applied to the sensor. I told her I had specifically asked If they had the replacement part twice and was told that they did. She said that the adhesive was Hondas directive. I repeated that I was told that they they had the part. Again she gave the robotic answer that it was a Honda policy. I repeated to her my question as to whether they had the replacement part and she said they did not. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted by the treatment I received at this business and would rate them a minus ten if possible! Disinterested and rude people are not good customer service!
Recently went into Morehead Honda for service on my vehicle that i purchased at another dealer a while back. Upon walking into the sales department I was greeted by a young woman Jennifer Archer who so kindly walked me to the service dept where i was promptly taken care of by a friendly staff as well. There is no other place to purchase or service your Honda in my opinion !!
First visit to the dealerFirst time buying a new car and first time buying from a dealer. I couldt be more satisfied. No one was very pushy, they really want to help their customers. Even after purchasing the car they were still helping me out. They all really go the extra mile. My salesman was Claudio, great guy, extremely friendly. He made the whole experience very comfortable. Mike Desantis was and still is very helpful and an incredibly friendly guy. Jason showed me all the perks of my purchase. Very funny guy, and informative. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. My car was the third car my family and I have purchased through Morehead, and Im sure there will be many more to come.
Morehead Honda is family and I simply won’t buy a vehicle elsewhere. Mark and Frank have gone above and beyond time and time again to ensure that my family and friends are driving safe, reliable, quality vehicles. Speaking of, five years ago my daughter was unfortunately involved in a head on collision at 40 mph with a minivan in her Honda Fit. When I got the call, my heart sunk. But when I got to the scene, I was stunned. The cabin space was completely intact save for the airbag deployment. She literally just had to open the door and step out. Absolutely incredible engineering goes into the ACE structure of Honda products and I’m a customer for life!
We had difficulty two times over 3 days with a bad/defective battery necessitating 2 trips to the dealership, a roadside assistance call (which caused the cancellation of our plans for that day) and several other required jumpstarts from our home prior to the trips to the dealership.Once we got to the dealership however we received service fairly promptly and all the service staff were quite courteous and helpful.
I was recently in Morehead Honda for 2 recalls for my vehicle and was helped out by Brittany. I have to say she was very knowledgeable in regards to what was needed to be done in ordering the necessary recall parts and setting up my appointment. Hassle free in and out and I have nothing but good to say. Thank you again.
This was my 3rd purchase from Morehead Honda. My first salesperson at Morehead Honda was great, but is no longer working at that dealership. Tommy Loving sold me my other two cars, a preowned vehicle in 2010 and a brand new vehicle in 2013. The trade in value I received was excellent. Tommy is by far one of the most honest and friendly salespeople in the business. He takes the time to listen to all of your needs and doesnt push you into buying a car. For instance, I wanted a deal that didnt require any money down and one that didnt exceed my note payment that I had on my current car (that I was trading in). He was able to get me my deal and even knock off a few hundred from my original car payment. I highly recommend Tommy Loving if youre the type of person that doesnt like to be sold, but want your needs to be met. He got the trade-in, new car and paperwork done in a couple of hours.I also dealt with Dan Hoye on my last two transactions. He is very friendly and efficient. Dan articulated all the financial details of my deals so that I understood everything easily, didnt try to sell my any extras, and got me out of his office in no time. The last person Id like to mention is Jason. He showed me all of the cars features and functionality. Again, I received extremely friendly service and was satisfied how everyone treated me. Great customer service, quick, yet thorough service and truly a great experience.I will continue to shop at Morehead Honda for future car purchases.
Went in too purchase my first car on my own, as you can imagine is a nerve racking process. Aaron helped me find the car of my dreams and made the process very exciting and smooth sailing through the whole thing. Highly recommend seeing him if you are looking too buy a new car!
I have never written a bad review before, however I feel like consumers should know and beware of this dealership. My daughters lease was up and she opted to purchase the car after tossing the idea of a new lease up. We were approved for the new lease through Honda financial and when she changed her mind about a new purchase, I called Honda finance directly and they told me the could convert the loan application from a lease to a lease buyout. The dealership told me they would buy the car from Honda, certify it as a used car and sell it back to us for over $2,000 that the amount of the lease buyout. I told them no, that we didn’t want it certified that my original contract stated I could buy it out for the cheaper price. They refused to do my lease buyout for me without paying the extra money. My daughter and I became very frustrated as we sat in the dealership nearly 3 hours, 30 of which every employee was in the back having a meeting for employee of the month. There were customers coming in to inquire about new cars, and no one to help them. Since they refused to do my lease buyout, I called Friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie. Very friendly, courteous, prompt... out loan was done in 1 visit. I have been a loyal customer to Moorehead, however they have gone down hill and I will not be back.
I must say Douglas Matthews is on point when it comes to his product... I went into the dealership kind of not sure what I was gonna do.. Doug took the time and patience to explain the different features of the vehicles I was interested in... I have mad a lot of car purchases over the years but Doug did it right. Knowledgeable, Patient and Friendly. If your looking to get into a new Honda go see Douglas Matthews at Morehead Honda.
Visited morehead for a Honda airbag recall. Friendly staff, had me bring my car right in. Check in/out process was very good. No pressure sale or telling my I needed xyz which I appreciated. Tires were mentioned by way of saying when you decide you need tires, please know we have competitive prices, come see up if youd like. Great service
Eric provided great service today for my CRV! I came in unexpectedly with a computer error, and from my description he actually started reciting the error messages which helped tremendously as I did not recall them specifically. Eric also realized that I needed an oil change so set that up as well without me having to mention it. When I picked up the car he directed me to where it was parked when I left - i usually forget to ask and end up wandering around a bit looking for it. It is rare these days to find someone in the service industry who anticipates and meets your needs in advance. Thank you for your excellent service, Eric!
Fudge this place. I tried to buy a car here and the salesman basically made me beg him to test drive a car.He had no knowledge of the vehicle, couldnt tell me the difference between different models (he kept telling to to read the brochure) and generate made me feel like an inconvenience to his day. When I inquired about trim/color combinations they didnt have on their lot the pretty much told me it was to much trouble to locate and they wouldnt even look into another dealers inventory until I paid for the car.I went 45 minutes out of my way to another Honda dealer and bought a car that very day, in the trim and color I wanted with no problem at all.Their service department is pretty shady too.I recommend that you do not go here.
Test drove a Ridgeliner on Sunday 7/19. Worked with Frank G. He was attentive, friendly, professional and LOW pressure. Great to deal with, gave me a good deal. Easy and efficient. Bought the truck the next day, 7/20 and drove out wiht it a few hours later. Highly recommend Frank G. and Morehead Honda. K. johnson
Need to lease or buy? Ask for Alonzo. He made the nerve wracking (for me) experience, pleasurable! He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me in an easy to understand manner. When I need the car serviced, I hope to get the same treatment. I also loved the atmosphere here, very relaxed.
The service was outstanding. I got in there, found the perfect car for me and they made it happen. I was very pleased with everything. And my car is beautiful! Thank you guys! I Recommend Morehead Honda to anyone looking for a nice brand new affordable car! I love my brand new 2015 Honda Civic and Im very pleased with my salesmen Chris and went over every detail with me to make sure I was completely satisfied. He made a very good recommendation to go with the civic and I couldnt be happier! Thank you guys again!Nick Iannolo
Let me start off by saying my car is a lease, its goes back in a year. I dropped it off for an oil change. I was told it was overdue for all these fluids and made it seem like it was dire need to get done. I wasnt told Hey its a lease you dont need to do these fluids. I also was not told how much these fluids would cost me or the fact that labor was 119$ an hour but it looks like i was charged close to 155$ an hr. I feel like they saw me coming, someone who doesnt know anything about this stuff and thought great, lets make money. I have been buying and leasing cars with Morehead for years and i left there feeling like ive been used to make a quota. I go back there for an oil change because i was told i had to. Ive never been so upset with them, i left crying and cried all the way home because i cant afford that bill that has now put me behind on other stuff.P.s i cant respond to your message. Your sales manager did nothing for me when i called and spoke to her on the phone.
Doug Matthews and Mike DeSantis are the only two people that keep bringing us back to Morehead Honda. We have purchased several vehicles from Doug and Mikes financial help is always knowledgeable. Dougs customer service and knowledge of the vehicles is helpful when we shop.He takes our needs into consideration when suggesting a vehicle. We only think of Morehead due to the service weve recd from Doug Matthews!
I had the pleasure of dealing with a great sales guy named Joey. He was friendly, knowlegeable and helped me every step of the way. Made me feel like I was part of the family. Mark was wonderful as well and they do care about their clients! They go above and beyond to make you happy. They have a forever customer with me!!
I wish I could give this zero stars. Bought a 2013 Hyundai Sonata a year ago for my son. Just tried to get it serviced for a check engine light. They told me they dont have the ability to check Hyundai vehicle warning lights. What? So you sell me a car, but have no way to service it? I took time off from work to bring in the car. When I asked why I wasnt told this when I made the appointment, service advisor said that the girls who answer the phone arent technical. That to me is an unacceptable answer. Explained to the service advisor that its my sons car and I really need to know if its ok for him to drive, he didnt seem too interested in trying to help.To top it off, he was far from friendly and told me it may have been as simple as a loose gas cap. Now, Im no mechanic but Im not an idiot either. Told him to give me my keys and I left. I will never, repeat never do any business with them again.
We walked across the lot to browse and find a car for our daughter and were greeted by Laura Meeks and we immediately made a great connection! From beginning to close of sale Laura helped us find exactly what we wanted. The experience was welcoming, relaxing and fun, zero stress and I will for sure buy my next car from Morehead and definitely from LAURA!
Went with my father to lease a new accord. James delivered amazing service. Recommend them for sure. When it comes to parts, Eric is the man to go to as well! Has helped me with multiple parts for both my 2000 Cr-v. As Well as fluids and parts for my 94 Civic Hatch. Thanks
Russ was predominantly the sales person we worked with. He was pleasant, cordial, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable of all the cars on the lot. Whenever we had a question it was answered to the fullest. I really appreciated Russs warm and kind energy when guiding us through the buying process. He made buying our new Honda Insight a very pleasant experience. From now on Morehead Honda is the only place we will buy cars from! :) Thanks to Russ and the Morehead Family, today was a great day!!!!
Update: Moorehead posted below to call the service manager - which I did, 4 days ago, still no call back - apparently they really dont careMy 2018 CRV had an issue while I was visiting the area from CT, on Memorial Day weekend. Honda roadside assistance had my car towed to this dealership on Saturday around 1 pm. I called them 3 times trying to get through to the service department. Kept getting transferred to a phone that just rang endlessly. When I told the operator NOT to transfer me to that number but answer one question, is the service department open, she put me on hold, and I hung up after 20 minutes on hold. Called back and asked for the sales manager, who basically said, it’s Memorial Day weekend, I will see if I can find you a rental but I probably won’t be able to. And if I can’t then there is noting we can do.Then I got a call from Michael Grasso from the service department (apparently they WERE open). He assured me that he would get my car into the shop immediately and get the issues resolved before they closed at 5 if at all possible. Turns out I needed a new battery, which was done and my car ready before the end of the day. That is how someone should take care of a customer. Mike should get 5 stars, but the rest of the experience is a 0.In the meantime the sales manager had called my husband back to say he couldn’t get a rental for us, couldn’t possibly give us a loaner and we would have to wait until Tuesday. Luckily Michael had done his job and made sure. I had my car fixed and ready. Thank you Michael Grasso for saving our weekend.
Firstly my husband and I PURCHASED our car here and they told us if we needed anything for it, to just go. So thats what we did. We told them our tire situation and they assured us theyd work on it. When we went to get our car they completely ignored our initial inquiry about the tire and charged me for a service that was completely unnecessary. And then had the audacity to get push us away and say Well we cant help you. The most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. Id give them 0 stars but thats not possible, they dont even deserve the 1.
I have been on the phone one hour trying to cancel my appointment and or get more information about services. I called every on keep being put on hold. I was told to leave a message. I explain that Im a provider and Im calling between hours.Once they get your money for your car sales. They want nothing to do with you. Poorly managed. But I got a good deal on my car
Brought my 2010 Civic in for a passenger airbag replacement. Waited 2 hours despite having an appointment (but I had my work laptop so no big deal). Two employees were fighting openly in the customer waiting area. Their complimentary multi-point inspection missed my clutch life (not applicable), drive shafts (CV boot is torn), and said tire pressure was a perfect 33 psi all around (TPMS pressure light was on).
I had a very good experience here.I bought my 2016 car here (used) around a month ago, car shopping is very stressful and sometimes dealing with salespeople can be overwhelming however I loved my car salesman Claudio he was very polite, allowed me to test drive the vehicles I was interested in & was never pushy at all. I have other dealerships closer to me yet I chose to check out Morehead and will be going there for my service needs as well.
Frank made my car buying experience a dream! I was in and out with my new car in record time. I was a little stressed because I had just totaled my car and they got me an even better deal than the last time I had purchased a car! I couldnt be happier. Id definitely recommend this place and see Frank G! He was super professional and friendly not pushy at all!
What a great experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I rolled away with my new 2016 Honda Accord. Senior Sales Consultant, Frank Q, was approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable. I arrived at More head thinking I new all about the honda accord until Frank brought to my attention all the safety features that go unnoticed, like the ACE body structure.I went to many dealerships before Morehead Honda and nowhere did I feel as comfortable as I did here. Frank spoke to me like a human, with the respect and care that everyone should experience when making the second biggest purchase of their lives. He broke down all the cost and helped me receive the $500 Graduate Rebate I was applicable for (other dealerships did not want to honor this rebate, dont know why). Frank made sure to address all my questions and concerns which overall made the buying experience stress free and pleasurable.Mike from finance was equally as phenomenal as Frank. Laid all the information out on the table, explained every sheet I was to sign. I was approved for the promotional 1.9 APR for all new Honda vehicles without any gimmicks. I can not tell you how many dealerships I have been to and them stating that I was eligible for that promotion interest rate ONLY if I purchase a maintenance plan with them of over 3000 dollars ( a stipulation crummy dealerships push on to their customers to gain more money out of them). You wont fine sketchy stipulations at Morehead Honda.Liliam recommended Morehead Honda to me and I am very glad she did. They have a great selection of vehicles, various colors and styles that you may be looking for. If you want a great buying experience, with friendly staff and endless tasty popcorn, stop by Morehead Honda. You wont be disappointed.
I took my car to these people. They are totally a dishonest set of people. I have been taking my car there for my oil change. Not once was I told that my brakes was going bad. These people waited until it was metal to metal and would need immediate service. Then charge me over $500 just for my back breaks and router. Good thing I was smart enough not to allow them to do the work. Never again. Not even a oil change.
I have never dealt with Morehead before, but after the experience with Friendly Honda I gave them a call and they were respectful and very diligent into finding out about a rental car for the recall on the airbags. I am so pleased with the service I received from them.
I just wanna tell the community about my experience at Morehead Honda there’s never a time I go in there that I don’t get excellent service. The owners, the Morhead’s always give our non-for profit organization a very fair price and discount. They make sure We have a loaner car to keep the mission going. My service rep is Mike Grasso. I’m thankful that he doesn’t think I’m a pain in the neck because I call him a few times to make sure everything is going smoothly. He’s kind, very gentle spoken and always make sure No work is done unless it’s really needed. I’ve been with Morhead Honda now for probably 15 years or more and I have a whole bunch more years behind me driving HONDA‘s. I should’ve sold HONDA’s I would’ve made a lot of sales. Make Morhead Honda in NEWBURGH your next stop to look for your next car. I guarantee you you’ll be a satisfied customer. Thank you Morhead Honda in Newburgh New York on Rt 300 for always being there Northeast Gateway Freedom Inc
I worked with Manny from the time I stepped through the door, until I finalized the deal a few days later. No pressure, very professional, very knowledgeable, very attentive and caring. Best car buying experience that Ive have ever had!I would recommend Morehead Honda to everyone looking for a new car.
Stay completely clear of this dealership. Worst service I’ve ever received and have purchased many cars in my lifetime. No one returns calls (except Jackie) Bought a Mini Cooper over Month ago that had 67k miles and had to bring it back to the dealership immediately for an engine noise. None of the techs could figure out what it was and after insisting they took it to a Mini Cooper dealership to determine the problem. Come to find out a new motor is needed. Since Jackie, (who is the only person at Morehead with proper customer service skills) contacted me about the new engine we have yet to hear anything. When we contacted Mini Cooper, they stated the car was picked up by Honda so they can replace the engine. Again no communication and I have to say I don’t have much confidence in there ability to do the job properly since they were unable to determine the issue and are unfamiliar with mini’s.Update: my husband called today and no one at morehead knows if the engine has been replaced or the status of the carUpdate: car was picked up today and broke down on my way to work. Currently waiting for a tow truck. Antifreeze everywhere and obviously they didn’t do the job right in replacing the motor
Morehead Honda representative Doug Matthews was more than helpful. He was very courteous and expedited the lease process. I was able to bring my old vehicle and leave with a brand new Honda within a matter of hours. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great vehicle, coupled with a high level of professionalism.
I was a customer for 10 years and bought my first new car there. The sales staff assured me on three separate occasions that when I was ready to sell the car they would buy it back. They said, absolutely, no problem, well take care of you. When I was ready to sell, I was told again, no worries, they would take care of me so I had the car cleaned up and went in to sell the car as I am leaving the country for a few months and have nowhere to store it. All of a sudden they said they couldnt buy it in spite of the reassurance only a week earlier. They then brought over a wholesaler who just happened to be there and he offered me a ridiculously lowball price. I thought I could trust them but they pulled the old used salesman car trick of blaming the boss. You really cannot trust them to follow through. They will clearly say anything to sell a car. I am upset because I have recommended them in the past. I was clearly wrong to do so.
Was supposed to get service done to my car and called to schedule the appointment with a Groupon that they confirmed they would take a month ago. They called today. A day before my appointment, that I had to move my entire schedule around for, to tell me that they would not be honoring my groupon for said appointment and I would have to pay full price if I wanted the service done. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Very knowledgable and courteous staff. Joey was able to help us decide and narrow exactly what we needed, and not just trying to bait us and sell us the most expensive model. Suzette was amazing as well and helped this tech-illiterate man understand all the cool features in my new Accord. Definitely recommend this place!
I went into the dealership to find out that the salesman I had purchased my car from a few years ago, was sadly no longer there. Fortunately for us, Joey Nesheiwat was able to assist us and make the car buying experience as simple and pleasant as I was hoping it to be. Moorhead Honda has continued to demonstrate excellence.
My wife and I are looking for a vehicle, which was very reliable. Our granddaughter will be heading off to college soon. We had a million questions about safety, gas mileage etc. When Doug Mathews, introduced himself to us, both my wife and myself thought and the pressure cooker begins. Oh we were so wrong. Doug went out of his way, to answer all of my questions. And not make us feel like we were being pressured, or run through a conveyor belt system. He didnt treat us like we werent important, because we werent making a purchase that day. And because of that, when we do make our purchase, it will be from Doug Matthews and Morehead Honda. You have a beautiful facility and really great employees ...
Terrible service, long waits. We brought our car for a Honda recall, they ended up having to give us a free detail because they made tracked grease in the interior of our car. We brought it there our of convience. Never again. Please use another Honda dealership. Too many issues. They also did unauthorized work on the car with any proper signature. I will be calling Honda Corporation to let them know.
I went to another dealer in the MHV who was a bit arrogant and not willing to work with me. So I was so pleasantly surprised when I met with Lew at Morehead. Loved working with him and his customer service is great. Go see Lew and tell him I sent you!! You’re my boy, Lew! :)
First off I would like to say I am the proud owner of a 2000 Honda Civic with 209000 miles on it still running great, so for me to be looking for a new car was a very emotion deal for me. I loved my civic. So once I decided to get a new car it had to be something that I could love as much as my old one. I went into Honda with a specific car in mind. Larisa found it on the lot for me, took me for a test drive, and even though I asked for this specific car, made me fall in love with it. She told me exactly what I needed to know and to do and got the deal done quickly and painlessly. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a car to at least go talk to her first! Jason then helped me on the tech side of things and got my car synced with everything I needed. I dont remember his green eyed assistant, but her little input helped out as well. Thank you all for making this experience great and thanks for the new Honda!!
My experience with morehead honda has been disappointing. I come to morehead honda for oil changes every 6 months, and they are usually on point with that particular service. I went into morehead on 4/19/19 for an issue with my honda accord overheating, and check charging system warning light. The service advisor told me that a diagnostic was needed. after waiting an hour for the diagnostic, my advisor then tells me that i would need a new alternator, and battery because they ran test and its dead, roughly $800. The advisor also tells me that i would have to pay a diagnostic fee of $119 if i dont want them to repair the vehicle. after realizing how costly the job was, i contacted a mechanic, that came over and opened the hood. The mechanic noticed that 1. the battery was still effective, after swaping my 1-year old battery into his car, and testing it. 2. the alternator was still effective, only issue was the belt tensioner, and replacing the ripped belt. The diagnostic was completely wrong, and the service advisor quoted me on replacing parts on my vehicle that were not ineffective. Eventually i got my money back from the false diagnostic, but was inconvenienced greatly, and given mis-information about my vehicle. in all honesty, i would recommend morehead for express services like an oil change, but for anything more than that, take your vehicle to an honest mechanic that will not try to rip you off.
An amazing experience!I cannot begin to express what an amazing experience I had at Morehead Honda. I went into the dealership after having a car accident which totaled my car, so I had no car to trade in, very little money to put down and poor credit. I was honest with Mark when I came in and he said Well lets see what we can do I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. I had told him that I didnt care what kind of a car I just needed to be able to get to work. Mark was able to find a car that he thought would be the best chance for me to get financing for. Mark was able to find a car that he thought would be my best chance at getting financed, a 2011 Honda Accord. It was beautiful! I never expected to be able to get that kind of a car. I was so happy but definitely not sure if the financing would work out so I refused to build myself up in thinking that that car would be mine. The deal was then turned over to Dan Hoye who was faced with the task of trying to get me the financing. He worked tirelessly which a couple of different banks and credit unions but was ultimately able to get the car financed through Honda financing. When my husband and I went to meet with Dan and sign the paperwork I had still no allowed myself to believe that this car was going to be mine. I figured the financing was going to be a problem even though it was approved the interest rate and the payment could very well end the deal. But to my surprise the interest rate was not bad at all, my payments are right where and I needed them to be and i was able to get an amazing warranty on the car plus the tires and the wheels. I sat there totally amazed that the deal was real and the deal was done, The car was mine!!! These guys are amazing!!! I will return to this dealership in the future and would recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you!!!!!!
Morehead Honda cares about their customers and will try to make their customers happy and satisfied. They will follow through and address any concerns with the car buying experience, as well as servicing the vehicle. I would highly recommend them for your purchasing and service needs
Mr. HigginsGeneral ManagerDear Mr. HigginsI thought I would write you about an experience I had at Morehead Honda on Friday 8/14/15 at approximately 2:00pm and many hours later. I owned business years ago and I thought that I would pass it on.I live near Rochester NY and wanted to purchase a vehicle, 2011 Certified Honda Pilot that I viewed over the web. I called and spoke many times with your salesmen’s Alonzo Taylor-Ruiz. I requested that Alonzo personally check the vehicle several times, so that my wife and I do not take a day off from work and travel 10 hours to pick-up a problematic vehicle. I received several confirmations that the vehicle was in premier shape. I checked the rating of your dealership and it was very good, so I trusted the salesperson. Upon arriving I met with Mr. Taylor-Ruiz. Upon checking the vehicle I observed major damage to the exterior, passenger lower front door and the upper post near the passenger door. I also observed the following: Second Row Seat would not lock to the rear, which I would assume would be a safety issue, broken molding on carpet, just laying on floor and that several leather seats were dirty (no big deal, just a little disappointing). I’ve purchased several certified Honda’s from Dealers and everything is checked interior and exterior. I thought Honda required this check to certify the vehicle?I was very disappointed and upset that Mr. Taylor did not check the vehicle or disclosed the damage to me. I asked Mr. Taylor why he had not told me about the damage and he did not respond or apologize. Mr. Taylor contracted another person to get involved; I think it was Mr. Bray/Sales Manager. Mr. Bray and Mr. Taylor offered the following solutions:•They would repair the damage and ship the car to me. I did not feel comfortable at this point feeling that the salesmen had lied to me several times and did not disclose the damage. I did not want to pay for a vehicle and trust that everything will be repaired when it was delivered. I don’t think any rational person would take this option.•They offered me 500.00 off the price and I would get the repair fixed myself. I am not a collision man, but did not feel this would cover the cost. They both assured me this would cover the cost of repair. I was still unconvinced. They made me another offer of taking 1000.00 off the price but continued to feel this would not cover the repair. After they both assured me that this would be enough money to repair the vehicle, I still was doubtful but wanted to believe them. Mr. Taylor made a good proposal, that I could bring the vehicle to a collision shop in the area to determine the cost of repair. Mr. Taylor asked me to agree if the price was different from the 1000.00 that Morehead offered, that I would reduce the allotment provided to me. I agreed that if the price was different it would be OK. Mr. Taylor told one of your support staff members to ride to the shop with us to get an estimate. Mr. Taylor named the shop, which I was apprehensive about, but continued to trust your dealership. I, my wife and one of your support staff went to the shop. The owner was at the shop and estimated the cost would be $1500.00 at the least and typically around $2000.00. After returning to the shop, they Mr. Bray stated that they would not reduce the price to cover the repairs. To me it’s unbelievable, you pick the shop, you made me verbally commit to take a body shop estimate that I don’t even know, and then when the estimate comes in higher you don’t have the honor to be committed to the estimate.•Mr. Bray gave us a 25.00 gift card in the parking lot upon leaving. I was so upset I threw the gift card in the parking lot. How can you accept business practice like this?•In my mind it all started with the salesmen’s not taking the time to check the vehicle. If he would have told me about the damage, we would have not made the trip and taken the time off. Thanks for your attention.
The experience I have each time I go to Morehead Honda is by far the best example of excellent customer service. Nikkole Daya was incredible and took such good care of me answered all my questions and was very thorough. I will definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family. Thanks Nikkole
I was between the Pilot and Odyssey. I needed something that was spacious enough for my family. Joey was very patient and showed us all the key differences between the two. We ended up going with the Pilot because the AWD. This is a great dealership and Joey and Suzette were nothing but kind.
I have been car shopping for months now, and each dealership I went to was a horrible experience. I was just about to give up and stop looking, and then I found morehead honda.I had a very strict budget with a high list of things I wanted my car to have. I came to Morehead Honda and Larissa was absolutely amazing, I found their 2012 ford fiesta online and when I came to see it they did not try to push me into a new Honda like all of the other dealerships had. After roughly 4 hours of paperwork and test drives etc I took home my first new car financed through the dealership! Highly recommend this dealership to everyone, so happy I came here!! The entire staff was friendly and helpful with all of our questions, we will definitely be back!
2 hours for an oil change seems a bit much coming in with an appointment. I also witnessed a lot of unprofessionalism from the service team. People slamming papers and misplacing keys, and using profanity. I liked the prices but don’t think I’ll be back because of the overall experience.
Go see Lewis Borassi! We were unexpectedly in the market for a car. We wanted to buy preowned as we intended to to finance and wanted to keep out payment as small as possible. We had visited several local dealers both large and small. When we happened upon Morehead we were so surprised at the difference in demeanor of all the sales people there. They were warm and welcoming and never made us feel pressured into a decision. We were lucky enough to deal with Lewis. We explained out delicate situation and he listened kindly and without any preconceived judgments. He was helpful and very understanding of our sudden predicament. Other sales people had made us feel like finding a way to fit us into a car with a tight budget was a nuisance. Many didnt bother to call back. Lewis continually followed up with us even when out busy schedules kept us from making a decision right away. He waited for us after hours to go over pricing and paperwork. We saw other cars and had other options but at the end of the day I felt like I really wanted to buy a car from Lewis. He was such a nice guy it made me want to spend my money with him. Even when the pick up of our car was delayed by a manufacturers recall Lewis did his very best to make a frustrating situation workable. I would strongly recommend anyone go over to Morehead. They definitely treat you like family. No stereotypical cars salesman stuff here. Thanks so much!Jenn
I was dreading this whole car purchase for months, until I meet Alberto Torres. He was so friendly, funny and very professional. Words cant express how awesome he was. He went out of his way to find the car I wanted. Alberto just made me feel at easy. He even stayed passed his shift to make sure everything was done so I could drive off that same night with my car. He also helped me get a lower rate than what my bank offered me. He knew his stuff and answered all my questions. I am HAPPY I went to Morehead Honda and even HAPPIER that I meet Alberto Torres. Thank you
I had a great experience purchasing a used Toyota Venza from Morehead Honda. Conrad Miller was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. He helped me get a great deal and continued to be extremely helpful even after the deal was done. I wish more companies placed as much emphasis on customer service as Conrad and Morehead Honda. If you are looking to purchase a car, be sure to ask for Conrad.
I am super disappointed with their “customer service.” I scheduled an oil change for yesterday 11/15/18 about I want to say a week ago or more for 5pm. I arrived yesterday 4:40pm to an “almost empty” building. The guy had me pull in my car and had a puzzled face like “hello ma’am do you have an appointment today” and I said “yes for an oil change”, and he proceed to say “well I’m going to have to see what’s going on because honestly everybody left.” Now I know what you’re all thinking, why would I step out, well in my defense the snow was not so bad honestly when I was driving to Honda around 4:20pm AND nobody had called me to let me know they were closing!! So I proceeded to my appointment! Just to shorten my story, they sent me home of course and another guy just said come back tomorrow. I was frustrated because he was just worried about his employees and didn’t make me feel like I mattered as well! I stepped out of the safety of my home because no one reached out to me about my appointment being cancelled! ( Going back home I got stuck on Fullerton Ave for 45mins, in all it took 2 hours just to get home, mind you I live in Newburgh! )There’s so much more to the story from yesterday and today but in all.... both days I did not feel like I was cared about, I did not receive my oil change and no one has even bothered to address the situation. How about going over some policies with your team MOREHEAD HONDA!!! And think about getting a robot message for when you do decide to close at least your customers can be informed right away. I’ll be waiting for someone to reach out... look in your appointment book for yesterday 11/15/16 2013 Honda Civic. I’ll be waiting.
The worst experience of my life with this dealership. My 2017 Honda Civic has had a tire pressure problem since almost day 1. Today after being back for a regular service and a 3rd attempt to get this resolved, I leave with the tire pressure low light still on and they tell me my tire pressure is fine but the light wont come off till I buy 4 new tires! Really? I am done with Honda and this dealership. Anyone want to buy a 2017 Honda Civic? Selling asap
I can not begin to say how pleasant an experience it was to deal with Mark Etri & Morehead Honda! Yes a pleasant experience with a car dealership & salesman! I am a third time repeat customer of Morehead Honda & a second time customer of Mark. From the moment I walked through the door until I drove away in my new car it was actually a pleasure to deal with these people. Pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, it just goes on & on. The whole experience was refreshingly pleasant. I just cant say enough nice things about these people! As long as they keep this up they have a lifetime customer with me! Go to Morehead Honda, & if you can, ask for Mark Etri. You wont regret it!
You want to buy a car with no pressure? Go to Morehead Honda and ask for Joey. One of my worries before heading there was being coerced or swindled into buying something that I didnt want. Salesman Joey was only there to guide me and answer my incessant questions until I found a car that I was in love with. Hell also make the experience fun a long the way!
Poor customer service at parts counter. Needed a part for my Odyssey. I called to verify that the part was available. The associate told me there were multiple parts available in stock. I told him I was on me way and drove 30 minutes to purchase the part. When I arrived to pick up the part I was told that while the system said they had the part, they couldnt find it in the location listed in the computer. He further went on to tell me he wouldnt know where to start looking for it. I ended up wasting an hour and a half of my time and left without the part. Parts employee appeared indifferent to my plight. Will use another dealership next time.
Most staff was very nice, Claudio pretty much pushed me out the door. I am sure he does not even know what good customer service is. I will stop by again and ask for a different sales person and hope I get better help. This guy was not helpful he wouldn’t even check for the cars I was interested and tried to push something I didn’t want on to me.
I have used this service department multiple times and the service adviser Mr Eric Koller was completely professional and couldn’t have asked for a better service department. He really explained the recall and what would be done to the vehicle in great detail. I would use this department again in the future. I can say thier fees were better then fair and I couldn’t expect better. I recommend using Mr Koller and Morehead honda for all your service needs. Oh and they have snacks and good coffee why you wait!!!
Incompetent and dishonest. I called about a call I saw online and was told it was there and ready for a test drive I arrived less than two hours later and I am told the car you wanted to see was sold but we have great deals on our new cars. After a half hour of arguing and their refusal to get the man that left the message upfront and the magically find the car. I negotiate a deal and then was jerked around about what can be done without a title.
If I could, I would give -5 stars. More than 3 weeks ago, I agreed to terms for a lease of a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Today, I was going to pick up the car armed with the new insurance and my son, which I yanked out of college so that he can drive me 30 miles to Newburgh. After I showed up, they told me that my A+ credit score was not good enough for the agreed price anymore, so if I wanted the car today, I had to pay up. If this is not extortion then I dont know what is. Here I am 30 miles away from home with my son who came 250 miles to drive me especially to the dealer, and I have someone trying to extort me. Where was the phone call 3 weeks ago letting me know that I had to pay more to get the car? Where is the professionalism? So, if you want to be a part of an extortion scheme, go right to Morehead Honda, and when you sign the papers, dont keep your hopes up, because the terms are likely to change. Oh, and when I tried to get my deposit back, there was no one conveniently there to sign the check- on a day of business. So here I am with no Honda Ridgeline, no deposit, and no car to drive since my current lease expired. I guess I will have to resort to my bike to get to work. STAY FAR AWAY FROM MOREHEAD HONDA. - Janusz Krzesaj
This is a review for their Automotive Service Department. I took my car their a few times for recalls. You have to fight to get someone to help you. Basically if you dont know exactly which empty window to go to, none of the employees will help you. I received a recall in the mail saying my power steering line had to be replaced. I took it to them one day and they told me it was only an inspection of the line and not a replacement. He told me the noise from my power steering pump meant I had a bad power steering pump and I would have to get a new one installed. So I googled the problem. Their was a Honda Technical Bulletin that said to replace a $1 Rubber O-Ring with a newer version, it would fix the problem. I did that myself and saved over $600. Back to the recall. So I got another letter in the mail saying my car was not completed and it was a safety hazard (car could catch on fire). So I took my car back in along with the mail I received. They replaced the line, documented that the power steering fluid was replaced. I looked up the Recall Procedures. It included replacing the Power Steering Fluid. The typical SCAMMER Mechanic said he recommends I come back to get the power steering fluid replaced. I will say they do have free shuttle driver that was nice and I believe free beagles (if you eat carbs) and coffee. The waiting area is nice. So If you dont know about cars, dont take your Honda here.
This is my second Accord lease from Morehead, the first was issue free so why not go again right, I must say the second time was better, Frank was great, took the time to understand what I was looking for and delivered, found me a Black Accord EX, I like all the feature in the EX and am very pleased with Frank and Moreheads ability to work with me on the car I was looking for and a fair price. Definitely recommend Morehead.
I give them 4 stars for the salesman they help me out with everything I need but now Im having problems with the car Im rating their service department a 1 star, because Ive been going to them so many times about my 2014 Honda civic with an electric problem Im getting a battery drain that it damage my battery and my alternator. Every time I went they first told me it was the battery after a month again and they told me it was the alternator, I fix both my self and now both of my battery and alternator is dead and they cant fix it cause my warranty expired and its been less then 6 months. I love my civic and they couldnt find the problem now they want to charge me to diagnose it to fix the problem when Ive been going to them every month for this problem
I took my car in for a routine oil change this morning, and as you probably guessed, Mondays are crazy. The young lady who received the car was very helpful, unfortunately the tech who I was waiting for was having a bad day. I waited for about 30mins and then asked him about how much longer it would be before he could check me in? He stated Im busy right now! The service Manager came to me and asked if I was next I replied yes and he then spoke with the tech informing him that hes noticed that Ive been waiting for a while. The tech went on to help someone else. After he finished and the customer left I asked if I could sit down, her again stated the he was busy. The service manager came by again and directed me to another service tech who was cordial and polite and within 20mins I was on my way. The reason I gave 4 stars was for the Service Manager and the tech who assisted me in ensuring that not only was I taken care of but they also made sure that the other customers who were also waiting was taken care of as well....
I had an amazing experience working with my sales advisor Nikkole Daya. She was extremely helpful and attentive towards my needs. She was quite knowledgeable and insightful. I felt like I was privileged to be working with a world class concierge service when I was working with Nikkole. Moreover, Nicole was my advocate in terms of helping me obtain finance. I would definitely recommend Nicole to my friends, colleagues and family.
All my life I only own HONDA cars. My family is looking for 2016 Pilot Touring. We bought our last two Hondas (08 odyssey and 14 Accord) at Friendly Honda. For some reason we tried to work with our salesman Justin but the Sales Manager would not meet our budget price and gave us poor trade in offer for the 08 Odyssey. We decided to leave the dealership and see if we can get a better offer at Morehead. I found out that Friendly Honda has a new Sales Manager...,hmmm.We met MR RAYMOND IRIZZARY. What a gentleman salesman. He made our buying process STRESS FREE. He worked really close with our budget and added free all season weather mats, wheel locks, and FREE OIL CHANGE FOR LIFE.Our buying experience at Morehead was EXCELLENT and far better than Friendly. Thank you very much Ray!
Called up because I replaced a battery on my Honda pilot and the radio locked and needs a code.... Was told that Id have to come in for a tech to unlock the radio (covid, no thanks)... I then called Middletown Honda and over the phone they walked me through the process and 3 minutes later it was unlocked.
My experience at Morehead was fabulous. It would not have been so, Im sure without the professionalism, manner and personality of Martin Groomes. He made buying the car I did so easy. He took his time explaining things to me, and he was not pushy (which I greatly appreciated). I looked around at other cars and dealerships and came back to Moorehead, because of Martin.
Excellent sales and services. Most reasonable prices in the area, ask for Frank Quiones, a true professional and a gentleman. I leased last my last vehicle, came in a.m. by 2pm drove away in my new car. They go above and beyond for customers both in sales and service dept. This is my 4th Honda with them.
Please note that dont buy and repair vehicles here! ! The service here is very poor! Maintenance technology is very poor! Very bad attitude! This is a very bad dealer, how can Honda continue to agree to their business? They made my car worse and worse, and even wrote a letter to me, refusing to repair my car! !I hate your false attitude, let me contact you? I have a letter you wrote to me, a letter of denial of service! I will let everyone see this letter!

2022-04-20Just wanted to provide an update to my previous review. The manager Jennifer reached out to me and we went over the situation. She was very pleasant and accommodating and as such, I have no issue with updating my review to reflect same. This is what a manager does, if a customer is unhappy they should reach out and work with that customer to come to a mutual and amicable understanding. Thank you Jennifer for your prompt and favorable response. I will definitely not let my 1 bad experience prevent me from returning to Morehead Honda as this is where I initially purchased my vehicle and I have been so far satisfied with said purchase.

2022-06-16I am incredulous at the negative reviews I see here. I have been going to Morehead for service for 18 years and five cars. They are incredibly honest, often having told me when I thought i had a problem, no you dont nothing is wrong and no you dont need such and such when they easily could have sold me parts and services if they were dishonest. Jen will do whatever is needed to rectify a problem, as I have witnessed her in action with other customers. Ron Morehead is amazing and always puts the customer first and Jackie and Eric are truly wonderful in service, always very nice and helpful and good to me. Morehead Honda is lucky to have these people! I will go nowhere else. To those of you that have experienced a problem, do go back and let them resolve it. Morehead Honda is a wonderful exception to the car dealership stereotype!

2022-06-08The service is abysmal. I had an 8am appt. 10am they said the car is not yet in the shop, we are short on technicians. I said it was the beginning of the day, why the delay, response well we had 5 cars with a 7:30 appointment. They bit off more than they can chew. Had to pay $21.00 for inspection, they insisted I pay the 3% credit card fee if I use my card. Never had this issue before. Service is terrible. Purchased 5 cars from Morehead over the last 15 years, I will never return. Easier to pay for oil change than get their courtesy one. John Morehead, what happened?

2022-01-04Truly disappointed with the lack of support and integrity the sales & service team show at this location. Since purchasing my car here, I’ve had nothing but problems. From misinformation to lack of empathy and compassion for the customers. I’ve even asked to speak with someone regarding my concerns about my services and treatment, I was ignored and call was never returned. I never felt more like a dollar sign. I wish I knew this was how I was going to be treated prior to getting my Honda. I would have purchased somewhere else or considered a different company.

2022-06-10Be careful when going to the dealership to put a deposit on a vehicle. Make sure to look at the “FEES”. I went in today to put a deposit on a car and was told the price for the car was going to be $6000 over the sticker price. $6000? I was told it was for Honda protection package, glass Coat interior and exterior protection, Mi Fleet tracking, Tire and and wheel plan, Oil changes for life , and Wheel locks. All of these packages are required to be performed without an option to remove. This was not a sales consultant. It was a sales manager… This is a bad business practice to encounter when going in excited to find the car you have been looking for…Way to make up $$$ for “shortages” on inventory. Will not be shopping here at my local Honda dealership.

2022-04-06Paid 100 bucks for a new key. Wanted another 135$ to program the key. A little steep... 250 total for a key for a 10 year old car but sure. I have a key that works just fine, just wanted a 2nd key. After an hour Im told they cant program the key cause the computer for programming the new one isnt talking to the car (clearly the one in the car is working just fine cause the other key is working). They then ask for payment of 145 (135 plus tax)$ and want another 135$ to diagnose the problem with no guarantee Ill even have a key that works after 400 bucks spent. After saying I just want my keys and Im gonna leave Jaqueline Olsen at the service desk goes, its 145$ more or your car can just stay in the shop and walks away. There was some friendly people who helped de escalate the situation and they didnt charge me the 135 after all... cause basically they did nothing anyways but have some genius try to program my key which who knows if he even did anything cause it felt like nobody cared here anyways... but between the people working on basic stuff in the back to the quality of the customer service I will never be back and will drive double distance for service just to avoid this place.

2022-05-26REVIEW UPDATED 5 days later! After the hassle and paying almost $300, the radar error message came up again, I went back and bla bla bla Im at fault again, they say..!!Now read through the original message.!!Do not step into this location unless you want to get ripped off!!I have a brand new Odyssey 2021, all of a sudden while driving, the Radar obstructed light came on, which means something is wrong with the sensor (placed in the front H of the Honda logo), causing the cruise not to work.I went into this location, it might be covered by the warranty, they say. Great!(This should certainly be covered by warranty, nothing but nothing was seen on the H, clear and perfect as if I would bought it yesterday. After a couple of hours they call me back, yeah, well, this has to be fixed, but unfortunately, its not covered by warranty, because I damaged it somewhere...Now, my day-to-day schedule s simple and all as marked below...1. I live in a private driveway, no one step on my driveway, other than me!2. My office work has private parking spaces and no one has access to it.3. I didnt visit any shopping mall for at least 5 days, where this could have happened4. This message only popped up after driving a 1/2 hour, which is a definite sign that something was wrong with it internally, and wasnt caused manually. They explained it might happen with a small stone hitting that part when driving... SO why isnt any mark on there, it was clean as ever!!TERRIBLE SERVICE, theyre just here to grab your wallet and leave..!Find elsewhere to get a diagnosis or your vehicle fixed!

2022-05-15Alex the sales person was knowledgeable and very helpful. I recommend Morehead they are not trying to get rip you off. The services department very good.
