The location is well equipped and organized with easy access and free parking as well as lots of scheduling opportunities. My Physical Therapist was exceptional in his attention to detail as well as in his clinical observations that guided our sessions and raised my awareness to support my treatment. He was fully attentive while managing several patients simultaneously which can only be compared to a dad at the playground, remarkable! His explanations were clear and his willingness to answer my questions and support my strides for greater carry over of techniques for my exercises at home were fully met. Every time that I thought I had mastered a set of activities he would add new ones that addressed other areas that we impacting my strides towards regaining full functions. Im fully satisfied, would highly recommend this place, and am eternally grateful for his work ethic and commitment to his craft.
I had A Terrible experience there last week!!! Ugghhh. They had someone traing & decided to give him the task of calling to cancel appts. When I was called , I asked are you sure bcuz My therapist is... He then stated Oh, I called the wrong person I get to My appt later that day to find out My appt was canceled. To make matters worst the silly receptionist who found everything funny was rude, disrespectful & UNPROFESSIONAL. THEN IM TOLD HANG AROUND & WELL TRY TO HELP OUT, AS IF THEYRE DOING ME A FAVOR. UNPROFESSIONAL. & I SO LOVED THIS PLACE!! IDK ANYMORE
First, I must say Motions has professionals. Special kudos for Liz/front desk, who is the best. Always, greets with a cheery word, welcoming smile, and going that extra mile.PT Daniel Park, who is working hard to get me up to my optimal healthy state, is the best knowledgeable therapist, I have encountered. Within a few months, I am up and about. Listening actively and understand when I ask questions is a big plus. Their patience and calm manner are a great help in my healing. Highly recommend Motions. Thanks!
I started in May of 2021 in the beginning it was wonderful, but toward July and August of 2021 their under staffing started affecting the the amount of days I needed therapy had to transfer somewhere else, however they have one Therapist name Arthur and he is excellent, understanding, very kind and well manner. Arthur and Kiwon were the best this Therapeutic place has ever had. Good luck everyone and hopeful recovery for all.
I was in for Fx right wrist which is my dominant side. I came in with a swollen, painful, pins & needles, rigid hand. I was leary if it could go back to what it was!Victoria Ferrante was my Occupational Therapist for 10 weeks of treatment. She gave me exercises to do at home, & at each session there were additional ones. Im an aggressive, impatient person. She had to remind me many times that Pain/Prickly feelings were a negative for the recovery. My hand closes well. I do my tasks at home. I will continue to do my exercises also. In general it was a lovely atmosphere with other patients and Therapists in same room. Converstions were interesting & took our minds off the hard sometimes painfull tasks we had to do.The whole crew is kind, but adhere to the plan to make the patient stay focused on the goal.TKU,Gladys Volmar
Everyone there is very polite, respectful, and helpful. The therapist work you hard and it is painful. You see the difference from when in go in as to when you leave. If you are not willing to do the work and deal with pain, this place is not for you. I highly recommend this place. I had two knee replacements. One two years ago and the other now. Both my therapist are amazing.
All the staff are polite and very professional. Love all the therapists there. They all have been very helpful with my lower back pain. I feel my core strength has been improving. I know it will take time but they give me the confidence that it will happen. Covid precautions are in place and the place is always clean. Thank you for everything and I will continue to go until I get my core strength back.
Ive been receiving therapy of my knees after getting a diagnosis of knee arthritis my therapist lilybeth is phenomenal!! Very knowledgeable and thorough and in 2 weeks my knee is feeling better and alot stronger. The place is clean, has plenty of equipment to work all areas of your body and the staff is very friendly!
Therapists and staff are efficient, the facility is clean and are following healthy COVID-19 protocols. The therapists are on point finding out what my needs are in order to help me gain strength and regain my ability to physically function in a normal manner. I see and feel progress from their help and attention. Everyone working at Motion are respectful and responsive to their clients.
The staff is amazing. They graciously collaborate with each other regarding techniques and patients. I am never left alone to go through my exercises, as always supported and instructed. There is no lag or wait time because the therapist is assisting several other patients. I am challenged by my routine and always look forward to a workout designed just for my unique needs and situation.
This has been my first experience receiving physical therapy. I was nervous not because of covid but because I’ve heard stories of pain and complaints. Honestly from the moment I made the first call I knew I would feel welcomed, treated with respect and dignity, and that I would be in a safe environment. I love the location it’s familiar to me. The office is very clean, well organized, and follows CDC covid guidelines. The front desk staff are very kind, helpful, understanding, and make you feel welcomed. The therapist are very professional and respectful. I have Justin as my therapist he’s so kind and treats me with care with dignity with respect. He actually told me today “don’t give up on me I know it hurts when we are done, it’ll get better.” That means something to me because it not only shows bedside manners but it tells me he’s listening and paying attention to my physical cues and probably my watery eyes today. Honestly, I feel very lucky to have chosen Motion to provide me with care.
GreetingsStaring with were the place is located, the entrance of the building, Security well organized elevators very clean. Now Motion office, the place is taking precautions necessary by taking temperature, seats enough space to have distance from one patient at the waiting area, the receptionist Jessica, out of the tree of them, she is the only one that shows compassion, and very attentive to patients, it’s always a pleasure to be assisted by her.Therapist, specially Kew Wan, excellent!!!He is very Polite, patiently, professional, organized, and always making sure if you are ok.He takes the time to work with you, very understanding with your problem, and it shows the humanity in him. Not everyone has that,The entire place were you do the exercise , staff is making sure they clean after each patient,Every machine, every tool is where it needs to be to prevent accidents..Very satisfied with this place!!
Motions Sports Medicine..is a facility that offers both Occupational and Physical Therapy. The staff here are very courteous and the therapists are very knowledgeable and patient. They have a large area for therapy that caters to the adult population with an adequate and different types of machines, they also have a pool for water therapy and the cleaning staff works tirelessly to ensure proper infection control is maintained...The reason for 4 stars is the pediatric area..I think the sensory gym is too small therefore the staff have to keep moving stuff around to maintain space and it does not allowed 2 clients to be present at the same time..so its always a hassle when OT needs the gym and PT is using it so this needs improvement and a wash area be placed in this area also for kids.
I had spine surgery two and half years ago and coming to Motion Sports was a blessing.I did a year and a couple of months getting to almost 80% of recovery. I was feeling great than this year I got into a car accident where I got wiped lashed and now here I go again trying to recover. The staff from the front desk to the therapist and assistants are the best. I highly recommend Motion Sports Medicine
So far my knee is responding well. My Therapist Rosie is excellent as she very caring to my pain issues, shows me step by step on how to do the exercises correctly. Any stresses I start having, she responds quickly and changes format to the level that will not stress my knee... Im now having more movements where I didnt have when i first started therapy, and I know as my therapy continues I will be back to healing in no time.
The staff of MOTION have been nothing but AMAZING. My hand therapist, Manisha is great. She definitely takes her time with the exercises and answers all my questions. They have been nothing but wonderful and professional s8nce day ine. I highly recommended them to anyone in need of Occupational Therapy.
Service is very very poor, neither at the reception level nor at the level of the therapists. I did two therapy classes there. In both of them, the two nurses ask an old woman who seems to be the only one with experience there. They ask her what movement i have to do and even how to do it, can you imagine that!!! I dont advice any one who look for professionals therapists to go there. It makes no sense. What make it worse that I was late 20 minutes, directly the front desk lady told me to have another appointment for being late like I m living next to MOTION dor!! And without hesitation I asked her to cancel all my appointments and I dont need there service any mor.
I am happy with my 2 visits as matter of fact I have only 1 day for treatment and the 1st is only eval., the staff is very nice my therapist is Allison and Victoria who treated me, they are both nice and the staff in the front desk is very professional and accommodating what days and dates for my availability on next visits. Now I know what place to go for a PT aside from OT.I wish to thank all the staff in OT my therapist Allison, Victoria and Manisha for treating me in my needs and being so professional. They are all made me special everytime I came for my treatment and are all expertise with their job. My last day for my treatment was Thursday I am fully recovered with trigger finger and can freely bend right index finger without pain and no more trigger. I wish to thank Motion Sports Medicine and each and everyone in OT for all the help.
My first visit to Motion Sports Medicine, my knee was incredibly swollen (diagnosis: Bone Bruise) and I had a really bad limp. I was assigned to Errin J. Donahue and by the time I was finished with my session, I was confident that I would get my knee mobility back. By my second visit a few days later, I was walking straighter and was able to support my weight with both my knees. Errin J. Donahue was super kind, answered all my questions, was innovative with therapy procedures, and most importantly, was super patient with me. I would definitely recommend Motion Sports Medicine for anyone who needs PT.
My experience at Motion was pleasant with the technician and staff. Unfortunately despite a $40.00 co payment at each visit, I was additionally charged hundreds of dollars additional for a Dr. Lee who I never even met. I was double charged on the same date for neuromuscular review and therapeutic exercise at $120.00 and at $105.00 for every visit. Initial Physical Therapy Evaluation was $295.00. NONE ...NONE...NONE of these fees were discussed before. during or after. ALL THESE FEES ARE POST INSURANCE PAYMENT. Dr. Lee (who ever he or she is) is a rip off. And the physical therapy DID NOT WORK.
I Love this place, all the receptionist are pleasant and helpful. The therapist are all very good at what they do. The facility is always neat and clean and always hopping...they have lots of clients. Im Currently working with Bryan McLaughlin and find that he has helped me immensely with My recovery from Back Surgery. Id recommend them for all your physical therapy needs!
I am dealing with a rather petrifying neurological issue. My therapist (Ahosa* I know Im spelling her name wrong) has been an angel, so supportive. Im regaining strength and balance under her good care 🙏. My sister went here as well after hip surgery and received superb care.
The staff at the reception are friendly and do their best to accommodate your future appointments. The technicians I met are full of knowledge. The technique they use helped me a lot. Overall the facility is clean and I observed them disinfecting the materials after someone uses them.
Great therapy experience! Justin is very knowledgeable and thorough, kinda nice too, lol! He explains the why behind the what and makes sure you understand the proper body mechanics to prevent future injuries. Covid protocols are more than adequate with check in temperature monitoring, hand washing b4 your session starts and constant equipment cleaning by the staff. I’ve had quite a few experiences with physical therapy and Motion is by far, the best!
This place doesn’t deserve more than one star, that’s because of long hours and schedule. Other than that the techs take more than one client, so they don’t spend time with you. You can go to any gym and do the exercises without charging your insurance and payment from your pocket. Basically what they do shake your pocket!!!!
Justine Simone is the best PT, DPT they have. He is very professional and caring about your progress. He knows what to do when it comes to hips, knees, shoulders. He maps out the best at home workouts to keep you moving and on track to getting you back to your previous self.
Very satisfied with Motion Sports. Therapy, exercise, advice on my replacement knee and learning at the same time of what exercise does what with which muscle. Personel are knowledgable, courteous and compassionate with any pain or discomfort you may feel. Waiting time to be seen is almost immediate. I feel I am being taken care of very well. I have nothing negative to say. I highly recommend Motion Sports for physical therapy hands down.👌👍👍
Their service is truly excellent, the equipments are always been clean before the next patient use it. The staff are very friendly and know their job. Thank you 🙏 guys for taking care of me because before coming to you guys I was struggling but the struggle is subsiding now all thanks 🙏 to your magical hands
All the staff are polite and professional. Justin, dan.rosie, sway and the rest of the administrative staff are top notch even the interns are well trained. I have been going there on a workers comp injury for the past year and I can rate them no less than a 10.i recommend then highly. Thank to motion at 1250 water place.
I started coming here August 2017.,due to lower back pain. I was amazing at the way the facility looked,it was very clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are very nice,as well as the therapist. I have two that work with me. Priyanka, and Yoshihiro. They really take time with me ,and makes sure I am OK when doing therapy. I am so happy to have the opportunity to come to a nice and caring place. I would recommend anyone who needs therapy to come here. Trust me, you will not be sorry you did.
My experience at motion sports medicine has been a great help to me. The therapist are experienced, friendly, respectful, courteous, and kind from the very first day I started. We have the same thing in mind, for me to be successful in getting better. The everyday movements with certain parts of our bodies we need these professionals to get back in the swing of things. I totally recommend motion sports medicine at 1250 Waters place in the Bronx to everyone who has mobility issues for ever part of your body. Thanks Allison you are a God send to me and my family are. Thank you from the BROWNE family.
I am very happy with the service and my therapist, Kenneth. I had a knee replacement and from the minute I walk in for my appointment Im called in to begin working on my knee. Motion Sports Medicine thrives to ensure that I received the necessary care and attention I deserve!
The level of professionalism, respect and compassion are provided in excellence. Wonderful staff! My son received services here after an injury and surgery. So pleased with the care and services; i have no negatives to share. Thank you WSPT!!! You have helped his recovery in indescribable measures! If you need physical therapy go! go!go! ❤❤❤
They attend to all your needs , caring for there patients and make sure they do all they can to get your mobility to where it needs to be ,they go way beyond for your needs , very happy with there service definitely would recommend there service, The staff is exceptional and helpful
This is the first location I have visited for physical therapy for the OsteoArthritis in my knees. I am very happy coming here. The staff and the doctors are all very helpful. Brian M. has been my PT Doctor and he pays close attention to what Im feeling when I get there and what he can do to help me feel better. I know I cant get rid of this OsteoArthritis, but at least Brian makes it a little easier to tolerate. My Primary Care Doctor wants to see me stay off pain medicines.
To me the best fisical therapist in New York city. They have all the latest machines, pool for acuatherapy, and very knowledgeable staff. They make you feel like family. Have been a patient since 2011 and I wont change it for any other place. I will recommend it to anyone going through pain. Love the place and staff.
WSPT has afforded me the BEST Physical Therapy experience ever!! From the moment I approach the counter to be signed in, I receive the most pleasant reception. Wilfredo, Ashley and Anana are professional, welcoming, compassionate and efficient to everyone that comes in for treatment. They make me feel like Im a part of the WSPT family. All the Therapists are knowledgeable and caring. Ashita, Lilybeth and Andrea give me the best care and workout. They totally address my needs based on my diagnosis and are willing to discuss any related concerns that I may have. Each exercise and what it is addressing is explained to me and they provide me with exercises that I can do at home. The facilities are neat, clean and comfortable. From beginning to end, my physical therapy experience here is a pleasure. Keep up the good work WSPT Team!!
This is the best Physical Therapist facility ever!! Ive had aqua therapy also and the therapist who work here have the greatest work ethic, they explain everything on detail so you know what to do. Big shout out to Brian M. Thanks for making my quality of life better.🤗
I had skirted several rehabs in the Bronx before I came to WSPT including major hospital rehabs. My main reason was that I was looking for a rehab that focused on spinal cord injury. Unfortunately, there was none in the Bronx. The alternatives close to me were in Westchester county; Helen Hayes and Burke Hospital. After I had contacted the Burke location on Westchester Avenue here in the Bronx I was referred to the hospital. I didnt give WSPT much chance to satisfy my need, given I was advised by my neurosurgeon to look for a rehab that had spinal cord injury as a specialty. That certainly means WSPT is excluded. That being said, I decided to give WSPT a try and I will say I am satisfied and happy I did. I like my therapist. A therapist can sway your views about a rehab, I believe. At WSPT, my therapist does her best to meet my need both physically and emotionally. In that regard, WSPT-Bronx is the best rehab in the Bronx.
No appointments available for working people. On Saturdays no one the phone. They do not tell you policy Before hand . they hang up on you. One said they can give me warning and schedule next one says you need a new prescription . never too busy yet you wait over 45 minutes after your appt time. Not understanding to fact pain prevents and inhibits your ability to get there after a long day at work. Snooty on the phone they let you stand there while they conversate with each other. Shame cause the physical therapist are great .
I’ve been too other therapy places and I have not received the treatment needed that WSPT gives me..I really get the therapy I need to strengthen my body in order to relieve the pain I have. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. The therapist and staff are friendly and helpful.
Daniel Seidler as Executive Director is very responsible even though this is not his physical sight. Clinical Director, Christopher Mohammed, was very receptive to feedback and nurtured a healthy team of professionals during his tenure. Arianna is a star front desk personnel and has good tact to handle all types of patients. Ashley Cabrera is beautifully following suit. Cara Yochai, is a an exceptionally skilled and patient Physical Therapist. Will is a great, well-rounded, and enthusiastic assistant who studies to compliment his practical knowledge. Carl, C.J., is a stellar, young man who assists very well in adding value to the team where it may be needed on any given day. This office are full of a team of rock stars!
WSPT is a wonderful place to take therapy. I am now in the aquatics therapy program. My therapist, Ashita, is an asset to me and to WSPT. She is hands on and does one-on-one therapy with me. I have also had Lilybeth stand in for Ashita. She is very knowledgeable and kept me going in the water. I must mention a gal named Paige. She is endearing, kind, sweet and so helpful. Top notch clinical staff. I hope I see results. Im very optimistic. Thank you all.
I ENJOY GOING TO WSPT THE PEOPLE THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THE RECEPTION AT THE DESK IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AT ALL TIME. NEVER STOP YOU FROM ASK QUESTIONS IF THEY DONT KNOW THEY WILL GO FIND OUT RIGHT AWAY. MY THERAPIST NAME IS BRIAN. HE ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL AT HOME WHEN I GO THERE. HE ALWAYS FIND NEW THINGS TO HELP ME IMPROVE MY BACK. EVEN WHEN I COME THERE HURTING HE NEVER LETS ME LEAVING WITHOUT FEEL BETTER OR SHOWING ME NEED TECHNIQUES TO TRY AT HOME. ALL THE THERAPIST ARE ALSO HELPFUL EVEN IF YOUR NOT THE PATIENT. I RECOMMENDED MY FATHER TO GO TO WSPT HE ALSO ENJOY GOING GOING THERE.

2022-06-07The staff at MOTION are really attentive. From the receptionists to the PTs, they really seem to care about what they do. It made dealing with my injury alot easier. I appreciate Liz in reception for always being pleasant and extremely helpful and Niles my PT for explaining everything throughout the process and just really helping me navigate the injury. Im glad that I went there for my physical therapy, I just hope I wont have to see them again in that capacity. 😁

2021-04-10I cant say enough great things about the staff. Absolutely everyone is professional and super friendly. The therapists are amazing and they obviously know what they are doing when it comes to your treatment. They also follow the appropriate Covid protocol and they make sure every single patient washes their hands prior to beginning their treatment. They disinfect every machine prior to use. Receptionists are friendly and very accommodating. Keep up the great work everyone! I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs treatment.
