Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea in New York
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting. I had a wonderful experience. This is the best hotel I have ever been privileged enough to stay at. An absolutely gorgeous building with a breathtaking view of the city, with high quality rooms along with exceptional service. The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating with exceptional service. Overall, I had a great experience, an enjoyable stay, and an amazing trip given the amazing area that surrounded this location of the hotel.
Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. I had stayed at another hotel for a few days and decided to switch to this one for my last night in the city. It was a breath of fresh air! Brand new hotel with amazing views in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. Rooms are a good size. The staff was very kind and friendly and even upgraded our room so we had a dream view of manhattan. This hotel was a breath of fresh air. Will definitely be booking again!
I cannot fathom how this hotel has such high ratings on here. I’ll leave a very honest review which I hope will help travelers. For starters I was in the city for business. The room is small but makes the best use of space there is no closet but there are lots of hooks all over the walls and 3 hangers. The shower did not drain properly. The lights were difficult to figure out - there were so many wall switches and one light I literally couldn’t figure out how to turn off, the front desk had no clue either and had to send maintenance up late in the evening to help and apparently this is a common occurrence. There is no iron or ironing board in the room - you have to call the front desk and have them bring that up. I waited 30 min and had to call a second time. The bar in the lobby is nicely decorated with good cocktails but the bartender service is horribly slow. The most frustrating part of the experience is the hotel staff routinely use their key fobs to override the main hotel elevator for their personal use which bypasses all other floors - a group of 6 of us were on and taken to the basement even though the lobby was selected. I even had a staff member override in the elevator with me which bypassed the floor I was staying on and there was no emergency when I called him out. I would not stay here again.
Beautiful hotel!!We had the pleasure to stay at Motto by Hilton for a girls night out. It was an amazing experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, the front desk were amazing and very accommodating, we asked to be on the same floor and weve got rooms on 41st floor with an amazing view. The rooms are very clean, with lots of light and with a modern touch. The bed its so comfy , didnt want to leave the room😁. This hotel wil be our new place for a gateway with my girls. Thanks Motto for the great hospitality!!!Read less
I had a fabulous stay! The rooms were more spacious than I was expecting and were very chic and comfortable. The lobby bar and second-floor lounge were great places to hang out for a drink or to get some work done. I was up on a high floor with a south-facing room and the views were incredible and unobstructed! Stunning! I will definitely return.
A great hotel in the heart of Chelsea! This hotel is stylish, comfortable, clean and in a great location. All of the staff here were professional and courteous...Sam at the front desk was especially helpful. I had a room on the 25th floor, with a queen sized bed, plenty of storage and the most amazing view of New York City including The Freedom Tower. My room also had complimentary bath and body products that consisted of high quality, all natural, vegan products that were fantastic. I loved it and would definitely stay here again.
First, I loved my room because I had a view of the NYC skyline! But, more than that, I would like to commend the layout and design of the room. Sure, it wasn’t big, but it felt spacious because of the little details, like storage under the bed and shelves here and there. The staff was also organized, friendly, and approachable. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will consider booking again if I need a place to stay in the city.
Just got done with a 4- night stay her. I cannot recommend this property enough. Cool modern rooms, great service, awesome views. It is close enough to all the action but our of the crazy tourist party of the city. The whole hotel concept is awesome for NYC. Room has everything you need and nothing that you dont. Focus seems to be on cool design and modern features without the frills and expense that comes with it. In a city like New York, most of your time is spent out of your room. However, when youre there or has everything you want. Well be back for sure.
Excellent in all aspects. Location, cleanliness, comfort, attention, and design. I found it to be an amazing hotel, which fully exceeded my expectations; everything is brand new. They received us with a glass of champagne at the check-in, which was very nice. Clean, modern, very well furnished, and beautiful bathrooms. The view from my room was breathtaking. Kudos to Front Desk Manager Marissa and the front office agents Alexis and Fouad. They were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant and bar offered delicious food and amazing drinks. I highly recommend this property for either business or pleasure and i definitely will be staying here again.
Lovely new hotel - we really enjoyed our one night stay at the Motto Chelsea. The location is fantastic, beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Breakfast at the hotel far exceeded our expectations. All service from employees was great, my only complaint would be that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. Otherwise it was perfect for us.
Amazing hotel and location! My wife and I visited for the weekend to meet up with a few of our friends who live in the area and we couldnt have found a better hotel! The team, especially Aziz, was wonderful. Gorgeous views right in the middle of it all. Walking distance to union station, great access to the subway, and a ton of things to do in the area. The hotel has a great restaurant on the first floor and a comfortable lounge on the second floor which would make this not just a great weekend place, but an awesome place to work from during the week!
Brand new, so clean rooms with everything functional to be expected- and it was. But the view!! Absolutely amazing view of WTC, Statue of Liberty, and all of downtown. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. Didn’t eat in the restaurant, but hit the coffee bar for breakfast twice- highly recommended. And the bar was excellent after a day of walking the streets of NY.
My husband and I came to stay for a mini moon the weekend before Valentine’s Day!!! This hotel was beautiful!! Every corner was a picture moment. The staff was super pleasant and extremely helpful. Literally everyone at every corner. We loved the plant based shampoo conditioner and hand soap that they have in the room. It’s also in the perfect location. Everything is at arms reach. You can walk everywhere. We loved our stay the only complaint is I wish I stayed longer. Also be aware that if you do not have proof of full vaccination you can’t sit and lounge in the lounge and bar area
Fantastic hotel in a good area of the city. Come here for work and really have no complaints. Views are 10/10. Wifi has zero issues even with work calls over Google Meet. Highly recommend stopping by the bar at some point as well, especially if Henry and/or Peter are working. One of the best old fashions I have had in awhile, they always make sure you’re taken care of, decent selection of wine and meat balls are great. Definitely recommend.
The location is simply unbeatable. Its close to everything you need for your New York trip -- public transportation, shopping areas, major grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. -- and the common areas such as the lobby, second-floor lounge and the gym are simple but decent. I cant speak for the views of the north-facing room but to the south, its more than spectacular. The ambiance is superb with great lighting and edgy decorations -- and even the scent from this place. One downside: Though things are very brand-new here, keeping them clean is a different thing. There were hairs and multiple dust-chunk both in my room and the bathroom. I personally cleaned them up myself but you probably dont want to do that if it was a romantic trip or travel with your family.
Wow! Talk about a view! It’s restaurant week and we wanted to have a staycation in the city. Everything about this hotel was great. There was excellent service from the time we walked in until we checked out. Front desk was very informative and also gave us a way to contact them via text message. The second night we decided to take advantage of the bar downstairs in the lobby. They had a full bar with great eats to pair. Henry was our bartender and he made the best margaritas! It was like home away from home. Good people, great service, and a CLEAN and beautiful room. We’ll definitely be back!
My husband and I came in to the town to visit family. He booked this hotel due to the location and also the hotel is fairly new.Nice design (not a fan of gold+silver) but it does look good with the combination of blue/white with gold/silver. We got the room at 29 floor with street view. The room is not very big but the king size bed is very comfortable.A side note for people who are staying, their housekeeping is on demand only. They will only come to clean your room only if you request for it.
Beautiful hotel boutique. The views were spectacular as we were on the 38th floor. Clean, comfortable and modern. The food at the restaurant is delicious and the staff is very nice and helpful. Make sure you tell the reception if you want your room to be cleaned and made up, we have put the notice on our door to have it cleaned but they never came during our stay.
Gorgeous hotel! Bar is impeccable - had one of the best espresso martins in the city. Rooms are NYC size but somehow they feel very spacious, modern but warm and fun decor!Great location - easy access to uptown, downtown, and quick walk to Chelsea market and meatpacking district.
I recently stayed here for a work trip. Overall, my experience was nice and would book again but maybe not during the summer months. I’ll explain more below. This hotel recently opened and social media was filled with influencer photos that got great rooms with a view so remember that this review is real life.Pros:Location - easy to get aroundGym - great space to move in the morning and had a water station where I could access water for my bottle.Hardwood floors - love hotels that have hardwood because hotel carpet is 🤢Space - designed with unique storage under the bed for luggage. Drawers also built into the bed.Lighting - highlighted the room and was motion censoredCons:Room door - you really had to make sure closed and latched coming and going. When I first got there I thought the door closed behind me but a staff member knocked and let me know they were going to close it.Air conditioner - it was a seasonably warm few days in the city and my room was warm when I entered. I turned on the air and it was incredibly loud and cycled on and off quite frequently. At night, I had to turn the air off all together because it was too loud for me to sleep.View - I paid extra for the city view thinking I wouldn’t have buildings block my view but it didn’t. I guess I would have needed to book landmark city view to be up higher. In the end it didn’t matter tho because I had my blinds closed most of the time to keep the room cool because of the loud A/C.
Gorgeous, chic and modern!! The hotel atmosphere is just amazing.Super well located in Chelsea (in my opinion the heart of NYC). Anything you can possibly want only a few steps away. The room decor is simply WOW! MOTTO was literally the cherry on top of an amazing trip to NYC. 1000% recommend. Also, phenomenal martinis at Bar Cicchetti!! Perfect way to set the mood for a great night out in the city.
This is an awesome new hotel centrally located in the heart of Manhattan. The rooms are smaller but very cozy and comfortable with an efficient modern design. Front desk staff were super friendly and greeted me every time I walked in the front door. The “landmark view” rooms offer a great (although somewhat distant) view of lower Manhattan and One World Trade. The TV has a great selection of channels and Netflix built in for streaming. Noise isolation between rooms is great and I didn’t hear any noise from neighboring units at all during my 3 night stay. I know it’s a weird thing to notice but I appreciated that the water pressure in the shower was really strong, even on a higher up floor. The location truly is prime. Walking distance to Madison Square Park, Flatiron, The Highline, Madison Square Garden, and a short cab ride to just about anywhere else in Manhattan.Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had at a Hilton property. If you’re looking to stay in the heart of Manhattan but want to avoid the crowds and mayhem of Times Square, this is the hotel for you.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Motto. We had a king room on the 37th floor. The view was amazing. The bed was comfy and the room was really nice. The staff was really helpful and sweet. When we come back to visit New York city we will make sure to make reservations here.
The Motto is an awesome place to stay in NYC, and I would definitely stay here again. My friends and I were able to book three adjoining rooms, which was so fun. The staff at the front desk were so kind and helpful with all of our needs, including holding our bags before and after check in hours, getting us some extra towels, and making sure we all got keys to our rooms even when the reservation was only under one person’s name. I snapped a picture of the amazing view from the 30th floor.
I knew a colleague had stayed here and wanted to try it. The lobby looked really nice, and the location was perfect between Penn Station and my office on Broadway.I walked in and Jasmin was very friendly right away. I explained Im in NYC often, and she kindly upgraded me to see how I liked a better view. She was very personable, which honestly can be hars to come by in New York.Love the hotel, love the staff. Will be back again and again.
I thought this was the perfect place to stay. Rooms are small, but it’s NY and they make great use of the small space with wall hooks and dual purpose furniture.I used the gym daily and it had everything I needed. The staff were super helpful. They lost a star because you could only get coffee from the cafe and often I was awake before it was open and I didn’t love spending an extra $6/day for black coffee. It was good, but not worth it and I like ke coffee first thing in the morning.
The employees at the front desk, Jo Jo and Alexis, were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great hotel. Every employee we interacted with went above and beyond to help us out. The location of the hotel is perfect situated by many convenient subway stations. The rooms were very clean and offered great views of the city.
Very conveniently located hotel, excellent staff, super view from our room. Rooms small but smart fixtures, features and storage meant we didn’t even notice. Yasmin at the front desk was very friendly and looked after us. Nice lobby area and bar make this hotel a win!
My stay was nothing short of amazing ! Super clean with no doubt! If I could give 10 stars I would. The view was breathtaking! remarkable on all levels. The service from the front desk and the manager S. Martinez was outstanding! All the staff was friendly and even helped me with parking instructions so Thank you! The Motto will be seeing me again! And I will recommend to anyone ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️Very Very memorable stay at the motto Chelsea !
Pros:1. Rooms are new and clean, they have hardwood floor and the bed is comfortable;2. The staff was friendly;3. Location is great.Cons:1. The room is really small;2. The hotel is like a “budget” one - no closets, no amenities (no cups or a safe box in the room, toiletries are offered in large bottles), the cleaning service has to be scheduled and no one is there to help you carry your bags - which is not a problem in general, but I think the price charged in this hotel is too high to not receive any of these services;3. The AC was loud and made the room either too warm or too cold with a strong gush of cold wind;4. I could hear everything that happened on the hallway - all the doors closing, people talking, even the elevator. Sometimes I could also hear the television from the other rooms;5. Even on the minimum, the water on my shower was really really warm, I could barely stand underneath it;6. The lights in the room have motion sensors so they kept going off all the time, which was annoying (I don’t know if it was possible to deactivate this, but I couldn’t figure out how to do so).
I had a great stay at the Motto by Hilton. My room was clean and had a fantastic view. The staff were also friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was also super convenient, just a short walk from the flatiron building with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Id absolutely recommend this hotel.
Staying at the Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea was a superb hotel experience. Centrally location in Chelsea, Motto is near everything. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the rooms are the perfect travel size! Our view was fabulous looking towards the Freedom Tower.I cant say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to the Motto by Hilton again in the near future!
My girlfriend and I came into the city for a fun girl’s weekend away. We walked to the hotel from the Port Authority bus station, and it was doable even with small carryon sized suitcases and purses. Even though we got there several hours before check-in time, Monique was able to offer us an available room right away. The room was immediately inviting with a gorgeous city view, modern furnishings, and a comfy bed with plush pillows – perfect to plop down on after a busy day in the city. My name was even written on the TV to welcome me as a personal touch! One of our favorite parts of the room was the full-sized bath and body products that were plant based and had a great relaxing mint scent. It would have been helpful to have hangers and a steamer, to release the wrinkles from our clothes after being in our luggage, but we made do with the pegs on the entry wall. The rooms and lobby were very clean; everything felt brand new. The interior’s minimal lines and jewel toned colors are clearly retro inspired, which made for fantastic photo ops everywhere you looked. We really loved the velvet accents throughout the hotel, especially the lounge seating in the bar. We grabbed a drink before dinner on Friday night and it was quite lively but there was still available seating at the bar. We were disappointed with the speed of service, but we would go back again when we have the luxury of enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The location of the hotel is a perfect spot in lower Manhattan with a short walk to a subway station that has direct access to city hotspots. The Chelsea neighborhood is right in the middle of it all without feeling like you’re right in the middle of it all; it’s fast-paced Manhattan, but not too crowded, and has lots of small business to support in the area, including a great selection of coffee shops. We look forward to staying at this property again!
The Motto is one of the best and upcoming NYC hotels I’ve ever seen/been. Gorgeous ambiance, staff was incredibly helpful, and the room was to die for. Hector was such great help when he realized my stay wasn’t the correct amount of nights I needed but didn’t hesitate to fix it for me. Was also convenient that the bar had extra bottle openers to give me to open some drinks I had in my room. Stayed on the 22nd floor with gorgeous views and was a good size for an NYC hotel. Bed was super comfy and bathroom was amazing considering someone could use the sink while someone is showering. Located in midtown not too far from the flatiron building and is surrounded by lots of great eats and places to shop too! Overall 10/10 stay and would def recommend for anyone whether it be a quick weekend getaway or a month long stay.
Awesome new hotel. Creatively and intelligently designed for your basic needs and comfort! Hector the evening manager gave us a stunning room that had the best view of the sunset. I will definitely be visiting again once their soon to be open restaurant would start serving. Tucked within the Chelsea neighborhood but away from the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple. See you soon….This is my new MoTTo!
I am a frequent traveler to NY and of all the hotels I have stayed in, Motto definitely stood out as the best. The property is new and located close to many great restaurants, public areas, transportation. The staff was very warm and welcoming esp Yasmin who checked me in and ensured I had a great stay. I got a room on the 40th floor and had the most amazing views of the city looking downtown.
What a beautiful modern hotel! The location is great: it’s very close to the Penn station, Times Square, Chelsea market. There is a Whole Foods supermarket one block away, nice restaurants around as well. There is a gym in the hotel as well.I loved the stuff at the front desk and at the bar. Everyone is nice and friendly. The rooms are clean, modern, with big beautiful windows, very good shampoo and a body lotion! It’s a great hotel if you are traveling solo or with family. I enjoyed my stay. ❤️
My two days stay was fantastic, mostly due to the wonderful staff, excellent location and beautiful property. Ana, housekeeping manager was amazing sending a lady to clean my room even though I requested last minute. Alex at the frontdesk was super friendly and made my check in process super easy. I Couldnt have anything better to say about the staff at Motto Chelsea.
Well.....to be truthful, we have not yet stayed at this hotel, but will be staying there in a couple of weeks.I just have to say, however, that I spoke to a lovely person named Monique on the phone, and she was remarkably professional, helpful, and gave us some great advice. Her professionalism, patience and demeanor on the phone, and her willingness to assist her future clients, is better than that of many more expensive hotels. What a tremendous asset Monique is to any establishment, and what a wonderful reflection of a ship run well.We travel quite a bit, and we dont always have the outstanding level of customer service that Monique rendered.Well done Motto!Warmly,Jo
I thoroughly enjoyed my 5-night stay at Motto Chelsea! My king bed room was upgraded to a south-facing 30th floor room, which had a phenomenal view.I wouldn’t call the room “roomy”, but it had everything I needed without feeling cramped. The room was clean and well insulated from outside noise. The shower water pressure was really good and the water heated up quickly. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains worked well.I was mainly using the room for sleeping, showering, and getting ready, so the room was perfect for my stay. There’s very little table or desk space, and I imagine working or eating takeout would be uncomfortable. There’s no closet or dresser space, so you’ll be living out of your suitcase. The HVAC system was rather loud and blew air around the bed area, but I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me at all.The location is great - a 10 minute walk from Penn Station and a couple blocks from many subway stations (CE, 1, F, R). It’s ideally located to go uptown to Central Park or a Broadway show, or downtown to a jazz or comedy club, or for a night out.I didn’t visit the hotel bar/restaurant or use the gym facilities, so I have no comments on those amenities. I would definitely stay at Motto again.
Great hotel, with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are a good size (albeit I traveled solo), very clean and modern. The bar and restaurant are very good and the gym is also better than most hotel gyms in Manhattan. The views from the landmark rooms are incredible!
Stayed here for 5 nights recently. The rooms are a bit small but really good value for money and the location is perfect. Everything is really new and modern, staff are very friendly. The view is probably better from floors 30 and above, as the building opposite tank was blocking downtown.
We had a very positive experience staying here for a weekend trip. The hotel staff was super funny and helpful. We went to the bar one evening before our dinner plans and the bar and restaurant staff were so enjoyable to talk to. They even recommended places to see while we were in the area. I would 100% stay here again.
Recently stayed at the Motto NYC and had a wonderful stay. Aziz assisted in a quick and easy check in process and was very helpful. The room was wonderful and included an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. The bar downstairs was classy and everyone was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend staying here.
I am a local who loves to take a “staycation” now and then for change of scenery and this new Chelsea gem did not disappoint! The view from my room was incredible and the room decor was minimal chic….do NOT miss the restaurant within the hotel, phenomenal, will be adding it to my regular rotation. I’ll be recommending this hotel for my friends, family and colleagues traveling to the city!
Im a Long time Diamond HH member. Fantastic stay for my whole family of 5 in March. We had two separate rooms and enjoyed the restaurant in the lobby as well as the amazing service from the staff. Management is excellent here and will take care of you! Well run property in an excellent location. Highly recommend to go and stay over any other Hilton in New york
This hotel has it all- prime location, trendy vibe, great food and breathtaking views. If you are coming to NYC to really get that authentic Big Apple experience, then this hotel is the one for you.Great option for all adults (young couples, solo travelers, weekend group trips) as the bar and lounge is an awesome place to come back and rewind or pregame a night out!
Stayed for 5 nights, awesome front desk support and incredibly pleasant. Small room - but quality furnishing and decorations. Their soap/shampoo smell so great and the lobby is pumped with a really strong pleasant smell that your nose will find before entering.Close to multiple subway trains.
I LOVED my time at Motto. Safety was my number one priority as a solo traveler and I felt safe 100% of the time. Rooms were super clean, hardwood floors. When I arrived, my room wasn’t ready so I got free drinks and Aziz brought my bags to my room for me. AMAZING customer service. 5 star service for 3 star price.
What wasn’t to love!! Stunning views from our sparkling clean & trendy 41st floor room. Delicious dinner, drinks and dessert at the hotel restaurant. Welcoming concierge, fun waitstaff (thanks Sophia!) and close proximity to MSG! Will definitely be coming back here for future concert nights 😊
My stay was incredible the staff was so nice. They went above and beyond to help our stay memorable. Alexis, Fouad, Aziz really stood out because they helped us store our bags and find the best room. We had a view of the city and the lounge was very comfortable. It was in a very convenient location and made it easier for us to see the NY sights. I would definitely stay here again. Five star service. :)
Loved absolutely everything about my stay at Motto for mine and my boyfriends anniversary! Check-in was quick and smooth, staff from every department was friendly, the room and bathroom were so well-designed and beautiful, and the view of lower Manhattan from the ceiling to floor windows was stunning! Looking forward to my next visit!
Such a lovely cool hotel. Such lovely caring staff. We had some trouble with our flight and had to cancel one of two nights. The staff was so nice and cancelled without any charge. So grateful. Was upgraded to a twin on the 42nd level. Amazing view.Bar area was relaxing and nice. Perfect located on a quiet street in Chelsea. 15 min walk to Time square and Macy’s and Penn station. I’ll stay here on my next visit.
By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in NYC, everything is brand new and really nice. Even the building is a brand new building.Check in was simple, everything was digital and done from my app. Unlocked the elevator and my room from the app.The room was smallish, great for one or two people - but everything had its purpose. It was very thought through. The tv was excellent and you can control all the lights and the AC from your tv. Nice touch! The most surprising part, the restaurant downstairs. The food was really really good and the drinks weren’t bad either. This is my new business travel spot for sure!
My wife and daughter spent Old Years Eve at the hotel and have never experienced such wonderful staff, who were truly amazing. The room was fantastic and they had an amazing evening. They could not talk more highly of MOTTO and cannot wait for a return trip. Thank you to the MOTTO team for a memorable start to 2022. We can HIGHLY recommend MOTTO NYC and will most definitely be back!!
What a diamond in the rough! Being a Lifetime Diamond & experienced my previous experience at the Fashion District Hilton as one of the worst stays ever, the Motto is probably one of the best. The friendliness, the view, the cleanliness, the quietness, the location, the price-point plus cozy bar & breakfast area is unbeatable. Smart architects focused on room maximization & left typical unused space such as a wardrobe & large dresser in the past, room is dressed in bright & modern colors. For sure, this will be my stay address in the city from now on.
Everything was better than expected! Shoutout to Alexis and Alex at the front desk, they were incredibly helpful and kind. They went above and beyond whats expected of them and I greatly appreciate it! The room was GORGEOUS, very clean and well thought out!! The landmark view room has a view like no other, I highly recommend.
This hotel is modern and chic.LOVE the ambience of the bar, would gladly come here for a drink with my friends.Aziz gave tremendous service and you can tell he has been in hospitality for a long time.Nothing like any other hotel I have stayed at, which I love. It’s unique and beautiful.
My wife & I recently took a trip to NYC for my birthday weekend & choose to stay at Motto. From the second we walked through the door the staff was absolutely amazing. We were helped & checked in by Monique, which she was very professional & friendly. The on duty Manager Hector also went above & beyond to help my wife set up the room prior to my arrival. Making sure everything was perfect. We stood up on the 42nd floor in one of the landmark rooms & the view was absolutely breathtaking. The over looking view of Lower Manhattan, Jersey City & even parts of Brooklyn was amazing both during the day & by night. I couldn’t have wish for a better place to stay in New York for my bday. From the hotel lobby & it’s amazing staff, to our beautiful room this really capped off my birthday. Thank you Motto Chelsea! Wish I can give a 10/10 you guys deserve it…
The location was perfect, the view was breathtaking, the room was immaculately clean. Everything from restaurants, corner stores, pharmacies, liquor stores and subway trains was all within minutes of walking. The staff were friendly and courteous. The only thing I wish they wouldve had was a microwave lol. Couldnt ask for a better hotel
Just wow! At the time of my stay (Feb 2022), they were only open for a little over a month. AMAZING staff, AMAZING room, and AMAZING location. Just a block away from the 23rd subway station, two blocks from Flatiron (Harry Potter Store is there). The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Mark my words, my new favorite Hilton location in the city, and will be back. Way to go Motto!
I booked this hotel for the very positive reviews. Our stay was decent but found many inconveniences. First, we got to our hotel room & unfortunately had other guest key into the room. We were grateful for the staff who did everything they could to make things right! Thank you for safely getting us a new room.It lacked the basics. There were no water bottles in the room, there were no vending machines to purchase water, and there were no cups or glassware for tap water. The desk told us we could purchase water when the coffee shop opened, so we waited all night until the coffee shop opened in the morning. The elevators were all very loud and shaky, which sometimes is normal in NY. The AC in the room was also very loud.
The hotel was very beautiful, very modern room, I had the option to control everything in the room using my phone. The option to also keep the digital key on my phone was very convenient. The view was AMAZING, and the area was perfect and close to lots of food options and the subway. Hector at check in was also very helpful.
Excellent views, particularly of the financial district on the south-facing rooms of the hotel. This is a newly constructed hotel so everything is brand new, which offsets the somewhat smaller room sizes. Great bar in the lobby with friendly and knowledgeable bar tenders.
To be fair - despite awarding just 3 stars, i would consider staying here again. The good:*good location near F,M,E, and 1 trains*brand new and attractive/clean (though will look dated extremely quickly)*staff are nicethe less good:(there were a lot of small annoyances, that wouldn’t matter very much to non-business travelers)*i reserved a king room, got two doubles*the room phone did not work - had to call front desk from cell phone*the lights switch off every 10 minutes to save energy*there is no ironing board or iron - you have to call down and request. No closets, so nowhere to store the ironing board. and no hanger to hang clothes. no dresser either.*no bath mats*the second floor lounge was closed a few times i wanted to use itPerhaps most importantly - the elevators were barely functioning during my stay. at one point there was only one going - in a 41 story hotel... They were under constant maintenance and, when working, felt strangely shaky and unstable... be prepared to wait.
Henry and China work at the hotel bar. They made sure our dinner was incredibly comfortable and the service was amazing. You should ask for one of them when you visit. The room, while super tiny, was extremely clean and beautiful. Choose Motto by Hilton and you wont be disappointed!
I had a great stay at the Motto- the conjoined rooms made my girls trip such a blast since we were able to open the door between the rooms and hang out together! The room options (we were in a king bed and twin bunk room) make this hotel a great option for families and I’d highly recommend the Moxy to out of town guests. The coffee shop was lovely and the staff was very helpful!
Why does this hotel have such high reviews. All style no substance. We had a wall bed room booked because I had to work and thought I could use our couch. When we got to the room our wall bed was broken and didn’t close and let the pillows slip down all night. We were also greeted with a clogged toilet (didn’t housekeeping notice it was clogged when “cleaning”?). Then the worst part is we were able to hear literally every word of the people in the room next to us. We heard them kissing. We heard them making Whoopi…. We heard their dog barking and then we were woken up to the people next to us screaming at 7 am. The walls are paper thin to the point they’re not effective. We also noticed at check in a man was waiting to get his bag and missed his flight because the hotel lost his stuff. The check in process was unorganized and they forgot my welcome benefitsAlso when I told front desk about all this she said “yea next time don’t book those rooms”Ma’am next time I’ll be booking rooms at another hotel…Manager tried to make this up to me with points but I already have status with Hilton and don’t need 100 points…What happened to the hospitality sector?!? I’m not a Karen and literally my only expectation was a clean room with a bed I could sleep in but this hotel doesn’t meet the mark.
Brand new hotel in the heart of Flat Iron District/Chelsea. Was a great pick for us and close to all of the people and places we were spending time with/at for the weekend. We had a room up on the 34th (out of 42) floor and the view was stellar. All the staff was super friendly and eager to help. There was a noreaster that weekend and the entry/lobby was kept safe, clear and clean. Rooms are small but that is expected in NYC. They made good use of the space and the rooms are well accommodated. Full size toiletries in shower, which i love as its less plastic use. Really comfortable bed and bedding.Only Cons:They were definitely smoothing out some issues with the HVAC. It was pretty warm in our room and the unit was constantly cycling on and off which made the air really dry. However, we didnt spend a ton of time in the room itself and as it was 18 degrees out it was ok we were a bit toasty. The bar- it wasnt open until 4 pm which seemed a bit late on a weekend. As the weather was blizzard like Saturday early afternoon and it was a bear to go from place to place, it would have been nice to have that. But maybe that wasnt the usual.
Our stay far exceeded our expectations! The room was small but well organized with enough storage under the bed to accommodate our belongings. Front desk staff, specifically Fouad and Ziad, took very good care of us. The bar staff is lovely and they make an exceptionally good espresso martini. Will definitely stay again on our return trips to the city.
Absolutely amazing experience at Motto By Hilton. The staff, cleanliness, the rooms the breathtaking views of the city, the restaurant, everything about this hotel is amazing. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Alex and staff for going above and beyond to provide an excellent costumer service
We had a lovely stay and would 100% stay again.Pros:-easy walk from Penn Station-sleek Art Deco-inspired decor-clean and new-body product pumps, including hand soap (please do this more often, Hilton!)-“nicest shower I’ve ever had in Manhattan” said by all members in our group-my kids LOVED the bunk bed room. Great option for families-knockout restaurant-2nd floor lounge is comfortable and beautifulCons:-no in-room coffee or lobby coffee-no bathroom vent-rate was a little steep, but we seem to have booked at the wrong time-I didn’t receive my Hilton Gold food credit when dining at Bar Cicchetti (5/10 update: Hilton credited me the points)I found the room to be very quiet. We were on the 12th floor, facing away from the street (courtyard), and didn’t have adjoining rooms. We were very skeptical of the extremely high reviews this hotel has, but it lived up to the hype! Highly recommend.
Our stay at Motto was expectacular. Lets start with the hotel appearance which was detail oriented. The lobby is bright and smells delicious. The check in process was fast and the staff was very attentive and accomodating. We had the best espresso martini at their full bar. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds super comfortable. The hotel location its convenient you could walk to major restaurants and attractions. Would definitelly stay at Motto again. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.
It was a perfect location. We could walk to Penn Station, subways, and other experiences. The room was simple, and it had everything we needed. Housekeeping was around for anything we needed. After a long walk home, we stopped at the bar for water, and the server not only brought us what we needed but our waking guests dog water.,
My boyfriend and I visited the Motto hotel for a night on his 26th birthday and had a fabulous time. Upon arrival, we were greated immediately with enthusiasm and warmth which made us feel comfortable and welcome. I want to specifically mention Aziz at the front desk for his hospitality and eagerness when answering all of our questions. The check in process was very smooth and we were given a room on the 41st floor. The room was incredibly clean and tidy. We had a million dollar view of the World Trade Center, the Hudson River and the entire south end of city. The hotel itself is very close to a ton of attractions as it’s location is in between Chelsea and Flatiron, the heart of the city. I could have not asked for a better stay!
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at when it just opened. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. The interior design is spectacular, do not forget to check the second floor for a superb lounging experience. Did I mention the staff is amazing!
My best friends and I stayed at the Motto Hotel March 4th through the 6th of 2022. We were lucky enough to be able to reunite at a beautiful brand new hotel that made our city experience 10x more enjoyable. We stayed in the four bunk room which took us back to old times when we were college roommates with one another. It was absolutely pristine. One night we spent time at the restaurant and bar where Baron, Isiah, Marco, and a few other staff members served us and gave us 5 star service. They were all entirely friendly and kind! The general manager, Bassim, made for great experience and was very pleasant. I would 100% recommend this hotel, great location, great vibe, and a spectacular team! Thank you for a fantastic stay, we will definitely be back!!
With so many hotels to choose from in New York, it’s pretty hard to even know where to begin. Let me save you some trouble, as Motto New York City Chelsea is the place to stay in Manhattan. We stayed 5 nights in total, and apart from a few very slight niggles, the stay was pretty much faultless.Set back from the main streets, the hotel is actually located in a pretty quiet area (if there is such a thing in New York) and our room on the 10th floor offered nice views of the surrounding area. I can imagine when you get up to the higher floors the view will be spectacular, but as we spent most of the time exploring the wonders of New York and not being in the room, we opted for the base category of room. The room was very stylish, with a slight art-deco style but with a modern twist. There is no denying it’s pretty compact, but they’ve thought of lots of little things that save space and once you’re all unpacked, it’s quite spacious. Bathroom is very nice and the shower was great too. My only two niggles were the aircon was a bit too loud and could to with some instructions on how to adjust the fan speed, and the digital key on the app seemed to be very glitchy – but both pretty minor. We enjoyed breakfast on several of the mornings and it really set us up for a day of exploring. The French Toast was incredibly tasty, and the Motto Breakfast Bowl was really fresh and vibrant breakfast too. Our Waitress Jamica was a delight, and gave us the best service of our two week USA trip – she is a credit to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble.Location wise, it was nearby to a variety of Subway stations that would enable you to get around quickly. It felt a safe neighbourhood too. There are plenty of places to eat around it as well, but make sure you save one night for Bar Cinchetta in the hotel. We had a fantastic meal there with wonderful food and again, amazing service. There’s a reason why they’ve got so many 5-star reviews, and that’s because they do what they do incredibly well. If I ever return to NYC, it will most definitely be the place I would stay again.
Beautiful hotel, excellent location, wonderful staff. JoJo and Lovely at the front desk were friendly, kind and super accommodating! Right from the start, we knew we were in for a great weekend stay at Motto because of their welcoming smiles. Our bellhop, K, was also very professional, friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NYC and hope to see JoJo, Lovely and K again when we do!!!
We were so fortunate to find this great hotel in NYC. We indeed stayed a handful of those which struggle to keep up with the ultimate quality of this hotel. Special thanks goes to Aziz and Jojo who welcomed us warmly both times we stayed here. If you are hesitant about finding the perfect place do not any more! P.S. We also highly recommend the hotels own loyalty programme called Hilton Honors. Thanks Aziz and Jojo and other members of staff who made our stay comfortable.
Beautiful and modern hotel! We stayed at Motto for a staycation with friends and couldnt be happier. Everyone at front desk was very friendly and accomodating. Check-in with Monique and Johanka was quick and seemless, and they also offer contactless check-in via app. We got a room on the highest floor and the view was just amazing! Rooms are well designed and they offer great amenities. Hotel is in the heart of Chelsea so you have many amazing restaurants and bars in a walking distance. Cant wait to go back!
My first stay at the Motto was relatively without issue. If it hadn’t rained the first night, it would have been the perfect staycation. The Motto Chelsea is a funky and modern yet no-frills approach to lodging in the big city.Aside from the wall-mounted suitcase rack just inside the door and hooks on almost every wall for jackets/towels etc. the neatest part of the king bed frame is the cutouts in the bottom to store your extra luggage.I had a fantastic 30th floor view of the Freedom Tower and even had a little desk nook next to the bed where I was able to take professional Zoom calls when necessary. The bed was super comfy, the shower was mood-changing, and the room just big enough to not feel like I was staying in a closet, like other rooms I’ve seen in NYC!Downstairs at Bar Cicchetti, they offer breakfast and a coffee bar in the daylight hours and at night a very stylish bar complete with sunken living room 1970s-vibes with small bites (the olive & garlic focaccia is perfect and their duck salad left me speechless!) and larger meal options. You can’t beat the location, one avenue from Eataly and the Flatiron building and blocks up from a bunch of shopping!I would absolutely stay at the modern Motto again.
THANK ME LATER! Excitedly, I stayed at the Motto Hotel for two nights and it was by far the greatest NYC hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. Firstly, the view was to die for!Getting a spectacular view is a hit or miss in NYC hotels depending on what part of town you’re in, but at the Motto—my view was phenomenal. (Perfect for tourist, looking to experience a jaw-dropping view.)Starting with the room—it was fabulous. It was the perfect size: the bed was huge and comfortable and the decor and the art gave the room a luxury feel. Inside of the room, there is a cute seating area for your workspace needs that is connected to the bed and as a professional, I find that feature very necessary. Now, communication in hospitality is key.The staff was super accommodating and helpful. Alexis & Alex were super sweet and attentive. The security guards were even extra sweet and you can tell they were highly trained professionals. Johamka and Aziz also went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. How do I remember all of their names? Well, Motto has a super convenient text message feature that they use which makes it easy to get in touch with the hotel staff whenever you need them. There’s no need to even pick up the room phone, all you have to do is simply text them from your cell and they respond in real time. (No robots, it’s actual staff members texting you.)PSA: If you’re a New Yorker looking for a staycation or if you’re traveling to the Empire State, don’t waste your time at any other hotel. Their bar and lounge area will be open in a week. I never write reviews this long people. I’m urging you to book this hotel for a comfortable, chic and luxurious stay. Highly Recommended.
EDIT : Our stay and experience in this hotel has been wonderful thanks to Alexander who managed to find us a solution. Thank you again for your quick answer and your kindness. Our room was quiet, with an amazing view of the city. The hotel is well located and you can access to anywhere quickly. The confort of the room is very pleasant.I recommand this hotel without any hesitation.
What a unique, classy, modern and beautiful hotel. From the minute I arrived at the main entrance I could tell this was going to be an amazing staycation weekend. I arrived around 3:30pm which was prime check in time and there were a couple of people in front checking in. Fouad assisted me through the process. Fouad did not disappoint and he provided me information about the hours of breakfast, dining on property, utilization of key to access elevator and offered assistance for any questions. I took a bit longer than other guests so when the other agents - Marissa, Hector & Aziz were no longer assisting guests, they offered additional insight for the hotel and area. After finishing up with the Front Office team I got to finally see the room. Amazing views although I should have booked the Landmark King (booked city view king) as I can only imagine the view another 10+ floors above…would have helped cut out some of the city lights for those night pictures. The room was bright, clean and more spacious than I anticipated. The shower was huge and loved, loved the full size amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash & lotion. Another small but useful touch was the container on the vanity area that had cotton balls and a vanity kit. I don’t recall the last time I’ve seen this in a hotel.Nice touch to have your name on the TV welcoming you to the room. While there isn’t closet space to hang items, the hooks by the front door were more than enough to hang coats and even towels to dry. Both sides of the bed had underside cubbies to store your suitcase and extra space under the sitting bench as well. Mini fridge came in handy and there were even slippers! ( I didn’t use those). Best part was all the plugs….there were standard plugs everywhere and USB even a USB-C on one side of the bed. I counted 6, yes 6 USB slots in the room.We stopped by Bar Cicchetti on both Friday night & Saturday. Friday we met a friend for drinks and appetizers and the service was very slow. We all had either wine or beer and it was at least a 15 minute wait between ordering to receive the drinks. Similar situation on Saturday. The bar didn’t seem that busy as there were empty tables/chairs so not sure if it was an off day for them. Food both nights were delicious. Friday when we made it back to the hotel we grabbed a drink then headed to the 2nd floor lounge and we had it all to ourselves. The bar located there wasn’t open yet…so not many people were up there.Friday we tied the Woodland Mushroom Crostino, Sweet Fire Chicken Wings and Black Rice Arancini. They have the same menu for bar or restaurant seating so we got to try a few more items on Saturday. Rope Grown Mussels (that broth was to die for…we kept getting extra bread to sop it up with…my mouth is watering thinking of them), Rosemary & Olive Focaccia (went well with the broth too), Romain and Truffle Salad, Orecchiette, Lamb Shank and Bar Cicchetti Steak Burger. We ordered brussels sprouts however they came out about ½ through the meal when our server checked on us. This goes back to opportunity for improved service as waiting until ½ way to check on a table leaves more room for errors. For dessert I ordered the Tiramisu and it was different than what I’m used to. Delicious…just came in a round jar as a layered dessert vs the typical square or cake slice. Overall we left happy and full. And then, check out day came….so sad. The beds were super comfy..so I was extra upset I lost the hour from daylight savings to lay in bed looking out at the city. The sunrise was so beautiful as it cascaded across the city approaching the hotel. Samuel Martinez was the Hotel Manager assisted with my check out and made sure everything was to my expectations. I will keep this on the short list for staycation hotels and recommend to anyone visiting NYC staying in the Chelsea area.

Do you like to spend all night retrieving your pillow from the chasm behind your head where a headboard should be?Do you enjoy hearing your neighbors on each side breathe because the rooms are adjoined with doors on 2 sides? And you enjoy the breathing, just wait! How about a shower with no shower head but only a low flow handheld atrocity? Want more misery? You’re in luck! They even supersized it with showers in the dark because the motion sensor doesn’t face the shower! The architects and designers responsible for this abomination should have to stay in these rooms for eternity to atone for absurdity they’ve unleashed on Hilton customers while trying to build a trendy brand in response to Moxy by Marriott (the very same concept except well executed).
Despite arriving at 3 pm our room was not ready and we were told to come back in two hours with no compensation or even an apology from the staff. When we finally got to check in we received a room overlooking an ugly building that blocked the view, despite having booked a room with a city view. Apparently you have to book a room with a landmark view to get room with a decent view. The room itself is nice as it is new but does not have any of the essential amenities that we would have expected.
My girlfriends and I had stay overnight Saturday, it was so much fun. We had 3 connecting rooms and they made the middle room like living room with couches to hang out while we got ready for dinner, we had all the doors open and hang. It was so much fun. While we were at Dinner, the middle room had Murphy bed king size turn down. It was so great, the bed was comfy. The shower/bathroom was nice, adjustable shower head, plenty of hooks and shelf to change. Plenty of outlets and love the slippers. We had drinks and apps at Bar Cicchetti, must have is the Crostino del Giorno, whipped ricotta and grilled grapes so good! Mary was a great server, Alex B was so welcoming. Best weekend with the girls at Motto!
Overall a solid new hotel, but a couple noise issues for my stay. I stayed on the north side of the hotel, which was silent from outside noise. Unfortunately the walls are thin and I could hear regular pipe rattling through the night. It wasnt terrible, but it definitely took a little while to fall asleep and it woke up up on occasion.
My stay at the motto by hilton was excellent! When we first got there we talked to Lovely and Joelle (I think that was her name, sorry if that’s wrong!) and they were so helpful in helping us navigate the city! We were also helped by Alexis, Fouad, and Yasmin and they were so accommodating! Overall great staff and a great place to stay!
I highly recommend staying at the recently opened Motto in Chelsea for a family getaway or even for a quick staycation with friends…or if you just want to stop in for a drink at the bar (I recommend sitting in “the pit”) or a delicious meal (I recommend the trying an item on the menu with roasted grapes, whipped ricotta on a slice of grilled artisan bread pictured below and the Tiramisu was a nice treat too). The bar and restaurant ambiance, food and beverage selections are top notch at this lifestyle hotel. The front desk staff, bar and restaurant staff are very welcoming and friendly. You will certainly be treated royally if you are lucky enough to have Mary as your server in the restaurant. And in the morning, the coffee bar offers a wide selection of hot coffee beverages with pastries, scones and oatmeal bowls. The hotel rooms are creatively layed out depending on the needs of your party. The room I stayed in was on the 21st floor, had a king size bed with a twin bunk on top. It was very clean with plenty of hooks, outlets and storage space for luggage. The room had lovely floor to ceiling windows. I went with a few girlfriends and we had 3 adjoining rooms. (See picture below). This was a really nice feature!
Lets start by saying what an amazing Staff at Motto by Hilton. From check-in to check-out they were all attentive and caring. Hector greeted us and even helped me attain a new mask. Every question I had, Hector was able to answer promptly. The hotel has such a warm and inviting decor with ambient lighting to match. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by such an amazing citrus fragrance and The SMELL IS TO DIE FOR! Thank you to Monique who assisted us when we happened to lose our room key; she made sure to help us out in a New York minute seeing as our Uber was outside waiting on us. Now, lets get to the room! our room was on the 42nd floor facing the Freedom Tower, and BOY must I say what a VIEW! The room is such a beauty as well, from the design to the layout and artwork, it all reminds you that you are in the heart of the BIG ! and lastly the location, as they say location is everything and this hotel delivers on that as well! The location of the hotel is everything! because you are literally in the middle of everything! with that we were able to walk almost everywhere! even in the COLD, us New Yorkers love the cold!ALSO PLEASE CHECK OUT BAR CICCHETTI located in the hotel! wow must I say my significant other and I were pleased with the service from food to the servers, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!Cant wait to staycation again!
We have arrived slitely early and were welcomed by Jojo who was extreemly friendly and informative and set us in a vavcant room on the 34th facing south. The room had great landmark view, so beautiful that we felt like not living it. Our room was small yet beautifully designed and had all the necesity a man could expect from a centrally located hotel in Manhathan. We shall definitely come back and recommend that hotel to who ever plan to visit NY city
The cafe in the lobby is a beautiful space and food overall great. However, the inconsistency in service is why I give it 3 stars. As they are getting more traction, it seems like they have become more confused and disheveled. It’s too nice of a space to have poor/disorderly service. Hope this feedback would truly be considered as changes made.
Cute rooms, small space but really good arranged. Great view! The only problem is... wall are made of paper, so thin than you can hear everything, literally e v e r y t h i n g. Also if you take a room for two persons, be prepared for hearing everything from the bathroom. Sliding doors doesnt help xd
Our stay at Motto by Hilton was STELLAR! And it was because of the following people:*Sam (General Manager)- First Rate!*Tania (Manager)- Awesome!*Yasmine (Front Desk)- Bougie Buddy.😊*Kori (Wait Staff)- Kind & Attentive. From the aromatic smell as you enter the property, the decor, the cool modern rooms, NYC skyline view and the food/cocktails- I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.Thank you so much! ~Da Bridges
Nice, simple, convenient hotel and rooms... In the rooms, there is no cofee machine or kettle, no paper cups, no closet, just hooks... however the hot coffee shop inthe lobby is very satisfying with choices of breakfast items and beverages. rooms are nice but very small... the a/c is loud... this hotel reminds me budget european chains, I think this price level is high for this concept... the picture is the view from 14th floor room
I have stayed at the MOTTO in Chelsea NY often since it opened in early 2022. The staff is excellent. The front desk has helped me out several times with a request. They exceeded my expectation. A shout out this last visit to Yasmine who went above and beyond. This is a favorite of mine.
The hotel was overbooked and did not have the room that we reserved. We were given a less satisfactory room. The staff told us the room would be half off. When we went to check out- that was not the case. I have to argue to even get some money off the room. My daughter was very disappointed that we did not get the bunk bed room we had reserved- which was also the ONLY reason we chose this hotel. I wouldnt recommend staying here as NYC has a million other options.
New hotel with great interior, good showers and decent rooms. Rooms a bit small and you can hear your neighbors but that can happen in NYC. What should not happen: The AC is super loud and you can not turn it off - it turns itself back on. Reception sent an engineer who said that it all works as intended. I mentioned it to reception the day after and at checkout. Nothing got fixed. This was very annoying; I did not feel that anybody was in charge here. I am Gold with Marriot Bonvoy and this stay showed me that I should stick to my chain. Sad because this property has a lot of potential. PS: Dont let yourself get upsold to the private car if you want to go to JFK, Taxi or even Uber is cheaper.
This hotel was a PERFECT experience for us. I have never been to Manhattan NY before, so the location and cleanliness of the hotel was important to me. MOTTO is located in an area that is safe and central to connect to the big POI spots: Central Park, NY Library, Madison Square, Broadway, Times Square, Hudsons Yard, Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller, etc... BUT also hidden enough that you can have a bit of privacy and a great sleep (omg I AM GOING TO MISS THAT BED). You can walk or hop on the subway - there are stations everywhere. In addition, there are a couple of late food options available within a few blocks if you needed to grab a quick dish on the way back to the hotel. The concierge and staff were all friendly and courteous. Their bar+restaurant offered excellent breakfast dishes and espresso drinks in the morning before it transformed into NYs new swanky lounge Bar Cicchetti. We stayed on the 28th floor. If you fare well with heights I recommend the opportunity to book a King with City View. A great size for two people with the benefit of being romanticized to dreamland by the city that never sleeps. Its very clean (no bed bugs!) and I liked that room service was done by request. The only minor inconvenience was that I couldnt get the service phone to work but I didnt bother to ask since I wasnt that distressed.MOTTO was a magical stay. Thank you!
Bugs in Room & sounds like mice or rats in wallDecent Location, Super Small RoomsStaff gives lip service on important health/hygiene issues without follow throughNotified hotel saw bugs in room and got runaround on whether or not there was a problem. Promised a report and got nothing. Will not be going back
The Motto Chelsea staff insisted on nothing short of one hundred percent customer satisfaction. There was a personal touch to every service, from the excellence in housekeeping to gratis concierge services by the front desk. We found ts whe best directions, locations and experiences referred to us by the staff, particularly Fouad. Ill be back for the French Toast as well as the signature cocktail menu.
I love the place and specially the team who made all the difference in our stay.Thank you Alex, Jojo, Fouad, Aziz, Marissa, Monique at the front desk, always smiling and working hard for a nice stay.We also want to thank Megan and Tania, at the brakfast.Looking forward to see all of you soon.
Horrible customer service. Billing issues that are unresolved. Jasmine and Anika at the front desk will leave you on hold on purpose until you hang up. Alex the GM is unreachable. Each time I’ve stayed here it’s gotten worse and worse. They take your money and move on and forget about the customer service.
Our stay at Motto was better than expected😍Our room 3901 facing south had an incredible view of downtown Manhattan skyline, sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The room was well organize with a small “office space”. Quiet most of the time, you can barely hear NYC sounds (ambulance, FDNY or NYPD sirens). Their staff is nice and helpful. I would like to thank the two managers that made our stay extra special Travis and Alex and the girsl at the coffeeshop in the morning Stephanie and Taniaa, they were amazing and made my breakfast extra fun!!They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at Bar Cicchetti. All the food i tried was delicious.Fitness centrr available and Rooftop opening on the second floor soon.Definitely a place i will recommend to friends, family and clients. Thanks for having us!P.s. Love the Welcome sign on the TV☺️🙏🏼(March 2022)I enjoyed today’s Grand Opening Celebration a lot.Motto by Hilton in Chealsea is the newest lifestyle hotel that just opened in NYC.2nd floor outdoor terrace open all year round. There are 374 rooms and 42 floors.Room 24 up have a nice downtown view. 9 rooms with bunk beds. 2022-03-29We loved our stay at the Motto in Chelsea- the location is excellent! The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Particularly the front desk staff, they were so kind and despite the busy hotel lobby, they were organized and efficient. The rooms are very well designed for despite the small city hotel rooms- there are nice details throughout the space, such as storage under the beds for your luggage, and hooks/shelving throughout, that make the small rooms feel bigger and very comfortable. The sink outside of the bathroom is also very nice.. Rooms were very clean and comfortable! Definitely would stay again next time I am in the city!

2022-02-22The view! The vibe! The smell! Everything hits you all at once, in a good way! Firstly, absolutely breathtaking view of NYC skyline from my room. Secondly, the vibe...the room was just right! It was cozy, tasteful, great colors, comfortable, and practical. You can tell the design behind this Hilton line was well thought out. The room smelled like it was cleaned well. In a pandemic climate, you want to be reassured that things are really clean, and the staff at Motto did a great job. Just as important as the amenities and rooms are, the quality of service from staff is right up there. There were plant based options on the menu at the restaurant, and the staff was super accommodating as well. Motto Chelsea definitely a hidden star - great location, great service, great amenities, and well worth it!

2022-01-19My stay at Motto was amazing. The view of downtown NY from my room was thrilling and breathtaking, I was especially exited to watch the sunrise. The rooms were very clean and the water pressure was surprisingly great. I highly recommend to stay here, as it’s centrally located and close to a lot of subway lines. Special shout out to manager, Alex, who went out of his way to make my stay the best it could be. 10/10!!

2022-02-08Our stay at Motto Hilton was more than exceptional. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a modern flare. We were fortunate enough to have the option to create an ample suite through connecting rooms. The view from our suite was breathtaking and the location was more than convenient with shops and restaurants at walking distance. The train station is less than 2 blocks away making it very commutable. I would definitely recommend this great hotel to all my family and friends when visiting the big Apple.

2022-07-02We had a wonderful stay at Motto by Hilton! We were greeted on a hot summer day with a warm welcome and cold water bottles. The lobby is lovely and a very nice place to sit and wait. Breakfast is delicious! The croissants are from an excellent bakery. The second floor lounge is a lovely place to visit with friends or have a snack. We stayed for an entire week. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable! The beds and bedding were lovely. The shower and organic body wash were luxurious. The view was spectacular.Even though all this sounds wonderful, the best part of our stay was the fabulous treatment by the staff. Particularly Alexis, who helped us print tickets to the ballet and helped when we had to have an emergency delivery to the hotel. We cannot thank her enough! We will definitely be recommending Motto to all of our friends visiting New York City.

2022-04-03My family and I stayed for the final leg of our Spring Break trip at the brand new Motto in Chelsea. The location was perfect for all of our day trips around the city. As soon as you walk in, we noticed the gorgeous design and moody modern feel of it. The hotel staff was friendly and super helpful during our stay. The rooms are well designed and super quiet. We went down to the cozy bar area and hung out for a little while on the velvet couches. Its a great place to relax with friends or as a couple! In the morning, you can pick up a quick pastry or a coffee at the bar to start your day. We were sad to leave and look forward to staying there again!

2022-05-07I booked a room as a Mother’s Day gift to myself & I will absolutely be coming back. This hotel was beautiful, the rooms are decently sized, beautiful decor, & great location. What made my stay the best was the staff, especially Yasmin. She checked me in with so much warmth & made sure I was taken care of. Even after I was in my room she made sure everything was going well. She also saved my headphones because I left them downstairs by mistake. I met several gentlemen in the elevators who were also very friendly and kind. Thank you so much for this incredible stay & for making my Mother’s Day so special. (:

2022-02-07Loved my stay!!! The location was very convenient. The staff was super friendly especially Aziz, Hector and Alex. Everyone was helpful. I was so happy that the hotel was brand new and modern. It felt like my home away from home. I was very excited that there was a restaurant on the ground floor as there was no need to leave the hotel for dinning options. The hotel was very clean and housekeeping was on top of every detail in the room. I will be back very soon and have already recommended this place to my friends and family.

2022-03-13I had an awesome stay here. This is a trendy hotel. There has been a lot of effort put into the interior design of the hotel. It really elevates the experience and would recommend this to anyone who values really well thought out spaces that are great to lounge, think and have a coffee/beer in. The room was small but thats expected of hotels in the city. The vastness of the view and the feeling that youre on top of the city makes up for it.

2022-03-28This hotel is simply stunning. Ultra modern finishes and beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. You must dine at Bar Cicchetti where the food is delicious and is stunningly presented. Whatever fragrance they pump into the lobby smells fantastic. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The shower had great water pressure. The hotel is perfect for a quick getaway to the city. I would definitely stay here again!
