Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers in other cities:
Kevin and Tom did a fantastic job.. I need 4 tires and alignment and Kevin was able to take me in right away. I got a great deal on Goodyear Tires! Fast efficient and reliable is what I would say. I also wanted to state that the showroom is clean and beautiful! They have just remodeled the store and it looks awesome. If you are looking for tires or service I would absolutely recommend Mr Tire in Canandaigua.
I went in on Saturday March 2nd , 2019 and the service was with out a doubt FANTASTIC. Tom the assistant Manager was so friendly and helpful. He made sure that I was aware of what they were doing at all times and aware of what my car needed. I went in because my Windshield Washer container and water was not coming out of the blades. I had replaced my Windshield the day before. Well the place forgot to connect the wipers and the hose. So no charge on that service. I also asked Tom if I could get a Oil change as well because I was due. He let me know the cost and then I had it changed by Dillon. Dillon was also very friendly and went over everything and also checked the tires and let me know some great information. I highly recommend this place!! They were very friendly and extremely helpful, and most of all HONEST... I have already told all my friends on what a great place and experience this was. Thanks Mr tire for employees that care. :)
Mr. Tire staff Tom and Kevin are excellent, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Their experience with people and expertise in auto repair have made them not only my choice in auto repair, but my recommended choice for my family and clients. Mr. Tire truly stand out from the pack with so many options in the area.
Very pleased with the service at the Canandaigua Mr Tire shop. They quickly fixed my flat tire and put the spare back in its storage location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the terrific service!!! Will definitely go there again!!Update Sept 16, 2019: The great customer service continues. I had another tire puncture. Took the problem to Mr Tire in Canandaigua and again, the issue was repaired quickly. I remain very impressed with the quality of work and customer service at this tire shop. As before, I will definitely continue to get my car serviced at this location.
Dillon and Kevin did an amazing job with my car! I visited plenty of shops and they all quoted me over $1,000 in repairs to fix a problem. They were kind, courteous and prompt upon taking my car in, they knew I was prepared to pay the amount of money to get my vehicle back on the road. After about 45 minutes they came out and told me my car was ready to go and the repair cost less than $100. Although they didnt say it since they do not bad-mouth other shops, it was clear I was being taken for a ride by the two other places that gave me a price quote. They have earned my business for life and I will be returning for anything I need thank you Dillon and Kevin!
On 11/7/19 I took my vehicle in for a bad control arm that a previously Mr. Tire in the Rochester area replaced several times. I decided to try this location since I had a bad experience previously. I told my situation to Tom S.- Assistant Manager. He informed me that he would try and help me considering a had a bad experience the last time I visited with Mr. Tire. He confirmed that the drivers side control arm was bad along with the left front inner tie rod and rear shocks needed to be fixed. The front end alignment would also need to be done. I told him to replace the things he suggested and I would have to have Advanced Auto Parts warranty out the parts for the rear shocks. I picked up the car right before they closed and drove it home. On the way home I heard a loud noise like I was hitting a speed bump consistently. Took it back the same night to come to find out the rear shock bushing where the shock sits was bad. I was never told before hand that this part was bad and needed to be replaced. I never heard any loud noises from the rear of the car. When I spoke to Kevin- The Manager asking him why wasnt the car test driven before I picked it up and how this bushing was bad all of a sudden?? He didnt have a clear explanation other than than saying he was sorry and the shop shouldnt even have made the repair to the control arm. He also tried to tell me that if I repaired the rear sway bar links and bushings it would help. I tried that and it didnt help. (Note: I supplied the parts. They repaired free of charge.)Took my car to another auto shop. They found that in fact the rear bushing was bad. Also found the left front outer tie rod has play. Not sure how Mr. Tire didnt notice this since they replaced inner tie rod. Pretty much wasted my money on a alignment since the outer tie rod need to be replaced. For $130.00 per hour for labor I expect more out of Mr. Tire. In my opinion this shop made a mistake and didnt want to own up to it. I will let you decide whether or not the shop did what you would have wanted. I wont be returning to any locations in the future and letting my friends and family to take there business elsewhere.
Tom and Dylan were great. They accommodated my towed in mangled tire in between appointments, talked to me like I am a human being, and were kind enough to let me know about my other remaining tires. I couldnt ask for more in such a situation. Great service, great looking shop that even has USB plugs for the long waits! Top notch!!!
We have had our vehicles serviced by this location for a long time now. Employees are always very nice, very knowledgeable, and show they really care about your safety and your vehicle. Always willing to work with you and give positive suggestions. So you can make the best decision.
We have had very good experiences with Kost Tire. They have done all the work on my car in recent years, and I have not had any problems. When my dealer has recommended certain things, Kost has told me what I actually need, and what can wait for the time being. They also offer great prices, and even have deals with certain employers that can help give us a discount. My husbands company has a deal, so we saved a little more money through that.
Weve brought several of our vehicles here, both for planned purchases and installation, as well as emergency flats. In all circumstances, the Canandaigua Mr. Tire fixed us up with friendliness, professionalism, respect of our time, and great value! This morning in particular, my husband had a flat on his way to work and limped his way to Mr Tire. They got him in as soon as they opened and he was on his way less than 20 minutes later, for the best price in town! I highly recommend this location for any and all of your tire needs and will be returning next time were in need.
My cars exhaust was pretty close to falling off. A friend of mine recommended Mr.Tire in Canandaigua to me. It was an easy fix but they did it free of charge. Ive since returned to have my breaks fixed and another time for frame damage. Just a great group of guys. If your looking for a fair and honest mechanic, this is the place. Honest and fair prices. What more can I say? Glad I found these guys. I highly recommend them.
Returned to Mr. Tire after having new brakes installed because I kept hearing a rattling noise whenever my vehicle was in gear. They were able to determine quickly that my heat shield was loose. Put new bolts on and sent me on my way. Very curtious and professional. Thanks guys!
Great place to go to get your car worked on. Very nice store manager and workers. My 2013 Hyundai Elantra wheel bearing was making noises, took my car there, and they did a great job fixing the issue in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. I recommend this place to anyone.
I’ve taken my car to a few different places, but Mr. Tire is hands down the best. The big thing that sets Mr. Tire apart from other places is the customer service. Also, any time I’ve had work done, I’ve never had to take it back which is unlike experiences I’ve had at other places. I would definitely recommend Mr. Tire for anyone looking for (obviously) tires or any other maintenance needs.
The team at Mr. Tire took great care of me! Dillon took extra care not to mark up my Aluminum wheels when mounting and balancing them. (Very much appreciated) The managers Tom and Kevin were also very pleasant, and personable. I will be sure to call them in the future!
I have been coming to this Mr. Tire store for over 8 years. Both Kevin and Tom have provided me with excellent service and guidance about my vehicles. They offer a free comprehensive survey of your car. This was helpful because I recently purchased an older SUV and wanted to have a professional to check it out underneath. A+
I stopped into the Canandaigua store with a slow leak in one of my tires. Tom, the manager, had the mechanic pull the tire off and check it. At this point they could’ve told me I needed a new tire and I would’ve said OK. But they were able to plug the leak and save me quite a bit of money. When it’s time for new tires I will definitely go back and give them my business. Thanks for the honesty.
Excellent customer service! When I brought my sons car in for new tires they actually gave me a ride home when they learned I didnt have one and would have to wait there. They also did some exhaust work on it for FREE because I told them we were trying to get the car to last through his Spring semester and that he was a delivery driver!
Had a problem with my tire, I went to Mr. Tire on a whim. I was not disappointed with their service in the least. Friendly staff, got my car right in fixed the tire quickly! Thank you Mr. Tire, not only did you “spare” me a costly repair bill from the dealership but saved me from having to call out for work!
Outstanding! I’ve had tire service and repair work done at Mr Tire in Canandaigua number of times. The manager Kevin and his team do an excellent job of thoroughly and honestly diagnosing what what needs to be done. There’s no arm twisting. I’m always in and out quickly and know the job has been done right.
Came in today to have my car service. Can can not say enough about my experience and how happy I was. I was greeted very professionally by Tom , the manager. Tom went through everything with me that I needed for my car and made me feel comfortable and not pressured by the whole service experience. I can not say enough about my good experience today at Mr. Tire in Canandaigua. I will be back!
The gentlemen at Mr. Tire in Canandaigua, NY were willing to help my out of state family, driving home to MA from Niagara Falls. After having my car towed to them from Geneva they spent at least 1 and 1/2 hours driving and testing my car on a busy Saturday afternoon. We were offered a very honest recommendation that a clearer diagnosis would be best from a dealership so that we weren’t in the position to just start replacing parts or put a bandaid on a more serious overheating issue. It’s not often that one can find that type of integrity with mechanics. Thank you Mr. Tire ☺️
Plugged a tire. They were honest, did it on the spot, and didnt charge me after finding out Im a veteran. Best of all, they put the spare and tools back and even asked about where to find the lug caps. They treated the car as if it were their own. Ill be giving them more business in the future.
Charged me $76 bucks for an oil change did not even do the rotation. Told me my vehicle takes full synthetic when it only take partial. Never told me price then charged me the $76 when I picked it up. Do yourself a favor and go to Monroe across the street Mark is very honest and fast they only charge me $45 for my oil change at Monroe. Luckily they are right there go there instead!
With cold weather comes low tire pressure. A quick visit to Mr. Tire ad the problem went away. The Store Manager, Kevin Bates, explained how the drop in temperature relates to the loss in tire pressure. I was expecting them to just fill the tires but to my surprise they rotated my tires for free and filled them to the proper tire pressure. Ive bought several sets of tires from Mr. Tire and have always experienced top shelf service. In addition, they do other repairs as i discovered when they fixed my brakes last year. I highly recommend Mr. Tire as I am a huge fan of this store. RM Beato
The manager at the counter always seems put off the couple times I have been there. I came in for a quote once for tires and most recently a problem with what I thought was low inflation of a tire. Both times he acted inconvenienced with providing assistance. Repair costs are expensive and his attitude does not help his business. Would definitely not visit again. Uptown tire is awesome!
I had a bit of an emergency and most repair shops close early on Saturday in our area (I dont understand why) to include one that I have been using for years. When I found this place open, I called immediately. Tom, one of the managers, was very helpful and he took my car in Right away. He was able to assist me with the problem and took the time to show me the issue and explain the problem in detail. I cant thank Tom and the others enough. I already made another appointment for an oil change and inside airflilter change. Who knew I have a filter behind my glove box. Something I learned while waiting.
I’ve taken my car here a handful of times now. Normally no issues. However, the last couple of times my car has come out with NEW PROBLEMS. This evening for instance my car was brought in for a valve stem repair, they fixed that but in the process BROKE my driver side door and wouldn’t fix it when brought to their attention right there in the business parking lot before driving away. Now my door won’t close, it won’t lock, and the sensor is always going off. Again the door worked just fine and wasn’t broken when it was brought in.
Stopped in with my Subaru after a snowstorm. Spoke with Tom who recommended some tires for the 50 other storms were sure to get. 6 days later another storm and the tires turned out to be killer with zero problem. Tom was extremely knowledgable and extremely accommodating with me inserting myself into his already busy shop.
I wouldnt recommend this location. They tried to upsell my wife during a simple oil change so I took her car to the Victor location for a second opinion and they said nothing else needed to be done.During an oil change on my vehicle I asked them to rotate the tires and check the brakes so I could plan for that. They said the brakes would need to be changed soon but no rush. Less than 2 weeks later my front left outside brake pad wore down all the way to the metal. Decided to change them myself so first indication they messed up was it took my full body weight to get a few lugs off. That indicates they used an impact wrench without the torque setting. My lugs should only be torqued on at 98lbs but these had to have been 2-3x that. Then the bad brake pads were missing the V clip that keeps the pads separated when the brakes arent pressed. I cant say they sabotaged my brakes but thats a pretty big coincidence. Against my better judgement, I went back to this location for a tire quote and the guy quoting gave me only 2 options (super cheap and super expensive) and wouldnt give me anything in between and just acted like I was bothering him the whole. He said they dont honor any tires purchased anywhere else and I had to buy 1 of the 2 he quoted. He also tacked on a bunch of other services and said its not optional. Needless to say I went to the Victor location where I found out this location was trying to waaaay overcharge. Ill leave that info under the Victor stores 5 start review. In the end, if you want to be overcharged and treated like youre bothering them, then this is the location for you. But if you want great customer service and great prices, go to the Victor location!
Heading to NC the next morning when I noticed tire was low; and saw it was punctured. Called Monro which was busy, they referred me over to Mr. Tire. Kevin at Mr. Tire was able to get me right in for a plug and patch. Kevin also informed me that there was an online promotion for a free tire repair. The quick and professional service was worth the stop alone.
I cant speak highly enough about Kevin Bates and the service he provided to my husband and I. At 6pm on Saturday night, he repaired a tire that had a nail so we could drive home to New Jersey on Sunday. He truly went above and beyond and he restored our belief in the kindness of others! We need more people on the world like Kevin!!!
This place is complete joke and if you work hard for your money your best bet is to go anywhere else. A female friend of mine went there to have her alternator changed and for four new tires. I should first mention that the reason I noted that my friend is a female is because this is one of those places that even at this day in age still tries to get over on women. They replaced the alternator and put four new tires on. They sold her on what they call their house tire, great tires at a great price they told her. They were definitely cheap but after less than 4000 miles were completely worn out and the metal was even showing on one. When she went back to see what they could do they wouldnt do anything. They told her that she didnt rotate them like she should have and would need proof that she had for them to do anything. I understand that tires need to be rotated and this should be done when you change your oil every 3000 miles but were talking about less than 4000 miles and they were shot, good price but good tires? I think not. In the end they offered to sell her another new set at 20% off and against my advice she did it. Shes rotated them this time and theyre already going bad after around 10000 miles, complete junk. I told her dont even bother going back, eat the loss and learn a lesson about 2nd rate shops. After they changed the alternator the belt had awful noise because they didnt adjust the slack right, she took it back and they told her it was the belt. It wasnt, it was a bad slack adjustment and rather than mess with their terrible customer service and nonsense she went to another local shop and they fixed it in a couple minutes and didnt charge her a dime. This place sells subpar junk, they are not real mechanics and theyre just downright dishonest.
Has reasonable prices for the service they provide and dont try to sell you more than what you need. I think they are reasonable and very nice. I have never felt like I do with them. I highly recommend the people at the Canandaigua location and the store manager Kevin was very honest. He made sure I understood what was being done and didnt talk down to me.
Kevin Bates did an amazing job! it was my first visit here and he was friendly as soon as i walked in! he took me in right away and offered the best deal for me and the car i drive! i truly appreciate his work and his service. I will be returning! thank you kevin and team!
Went in to buy Blizzack tires, manager recommended General grabbers so I thought he knew what he was talking about. They give a 30 day ride guarantee. Several days after installation I went back to them to tell them the tires would not work for me as they picked up stones and would continue throwing stones for 6-8 miles. They said they would credit toward new tires or give me my money back. Took the tires back and they would not give me anything until the manager returns (1 week). The bill was more than 800.00.
I have been to this location in Canadaigua several times now. Great customer service as always! They are extemely fair with their pricing and explain the details of the work being done in detail. You will get treated like a valued customer instead of another number like other service centers I have been to in the past. 5 stars.
This place does not treat women well. When I arrived I told the guy that I needed an oil change and an inspection. He then listed off a lot of other things to see if they needed to be done. It seemed like he just did it to see how I would respond. The entire time I was there he proceeded to call me “kiddo.” I’ve never met the man before, am in my late 20’s and told him that I was married. He continued to call me kiddo. He also felt the need to explain to me that I should keep the form stating that my vehicle passed inspection in the glove box and other basic things— as if I had no idea. Additionally, the mechanic very obviously checked me out each time he came in and out of the waiting area. I learned after going here that my mother-in-law had gone to this same Mr. Tire and had a similar experience. If you are a woman I would avoid this Mr. Tire unless you enjoy being treated like you are an idiot.
I had my car towed there to get repaired. I told them the car was powering down as I was driving, and bucking as i was going down the road. I told them I thought it was my alternator. The guy called me back and told me everything was fine, that it was only my battery. Which I thought was weird because the car has never not started for me, except for the last couple of days. Basically, he was probably thinking that i was just some dumb broad that left her lights on. Also I was told that I had a fuel leak that they need time to find, but wasnt to bad and could wait to be repaired just to make me aware of it. Well I was driving the car after the supposed repair and it was doing the same thing. I had to take it to the Kost Tire in geneva where I originally wanted it taken. Well it turns out that it was my alternator, and the fuel leak was seen by the puddle of gas sitting on the top of the engine. Oh needless to say the car is getting fixed properly by the Kost tire in Geneva. But when this supposed repair was done and the car left me stranded it was on my birthday. So thanks Kost for a lovely birthday.
Brought my car in for a break line. usually costs around $300 after parts and labor. Kost wanted $900!!! Also they found additional fake problems to get more money out of me. After all was said and done they wanted $4,000+ for a quick $300 job. Dont go there. Luckily I know about my car so I didnt fall for this scam, but they do make their money off people who dont know anything about cars and charge you for anything they can. I guarantee if you brought a brand new car there they will still find a way to get at least $1,000 out of you.
Bait and switch. Received a quote for four new tires Through Mr. Tires website. Showed up for the appointment and was told that the quote was a mistake and the actual cost would be $90 more, and that there were also several undisclosed fees, bringing the total cost to about $150 more than originally quoted. Going elsewhere.
They were fast with the oil change and service but unlike other auto places they didnt check my battery (and who knows what else) even though its been one of the coldest winters. The next morning my car was dead, and I had to pay someone to come out to my place and change the battery.
They did alignment on my vehicle and my steering wheel was turned to the right, when it should of been straight while going straight . to make long story short, it caused two of my brand new tires to develop inside tire ware...will never go to these guys again ...i recommend you go elsewhere...
I stopped in to get tires and a cold pop. My wife and I got into a pretty big argument the day before about the cable bill, which is honestly ridiculous because she never pays the cable, and somehow this led to her dumping all my pop down the sink..so needless to say I was in the mood for one. The Service was decent but they didnt have pop. They seemed a little pricy too and definitely wanted an upsell. I stopped down the street at a gas station and grabbed a cold pop and a candy bar. The day didnt turn out to bad.
Called tom and asked if he had any openings to do tires on my dads truck got us right in then i asked to look up tires for my wifes car and gave me a price and got that right in as well as my dads truck very fast tom went above and beyond to help me and the mechanics were quick to get it done and did a awsome job deff would be bringing back more vehicles for them

2022-01-07I called twice to get prices and confirm availability of tires, made an appointment for the next day and everything seemed good. My fiancé shows up for her scheduled appointment, sits there an hour and a half and she is told agreed upon tires are no longer in stock. Salesman says only tires they have in stock are twice as expensive and he won’t charge us for mounting and balancing. Sounded like they were trying to take advantage of her and I told her to get her old ones back on and leave. Very bad business practices there, would not recommend to anyone.

2021-12-02The service provided by the Canandaigua Mr. Tire was thorough and complete. This is not the first time that my online appointment was not coordinated with the shop . The on line appointment is very convenient to make appointments but the system seems inadequate as it relates to the shop, they consistently reschedule me or they have no notice of the appointment.

2021-09-17I recently went for NYS inspection which was told I failed . Needed all four pads and rotors replaced, tires and needed alignment . Went to another local place was told I passed but in fairness needed back pads and rotors probably in a few months, but passed and the front breaks were like brand new. Cost comparison Mr Tires quoted me with out tires 1014.00 cost at an Honest business 107.00. Yes they were very nice but so are shady salesman Buyer Beware…

2021-09-01Made an appointment online. Received confirmation of an appointment request and never got another email. Switched my entire day around to get to the appointment and the clerk said he replied saying the appointment was declined. I never received notice. I only have one email from them (checked spam filter, checked all inboxes and ran a search Mr. Tire) no email declining my appointment. Killed myself to get to the appointment only to be told they were out of inspection stickers. I would avoid this place.

2020-07-16I was able to make an appointment in a timely manner (the next morning) to fix my leaky tire. I was greeted by name in a friendly fashion and my vehicle was taken into the shop on schedule. The manager provided up-front pricing and updated me as my vehicle was worked on. Reasonable prices and excellent customer service. I will return to this location as necessary in the future.

2021-10-23Dont try an appointment online even when its confirmed they will say our system isnt working I needed an alignment and apparently that is broken too mayb like McDonalds milkshake machine. No attempt to even try to reschedule an appointment just blank stare and acted like I was a disruption to their day. On top of that I had to wait in my car cause they were 45 mins late to work completely unprofessional

2020-07-29Dropped my vehicle off at 11:00am for a State inspection and tire rotation, very easy jobs, I thought it was weird I did not hear back from the shop and it was already 4:00pm so I tried calling the store to get an update. But no answer. I figured they may be busy and Its already been 5 hours so I showed back up to the shop. They told me that nothing was done and that there was an issue with my tire that would cost me over 100$. This shop wasted 6 hours and didnt even get done what I brought it there for. This shop goes out of its way to waste peoples time and will try on purpose to screw you out of your money. Do NOT support this horrible place.
