2018-11-09This is a huge and amazing repair facility for NYC Transits train cars. It has the ability to lift at least 30 subway cars 5 feet above the floor. There are hundreds of employees working here at any given time and makes parking a nightmare. This shop repairs and rebuilds numerous subway cars as old as 40 years old. This facility is open 24 hours a day and employs three shifts. It is a very old facility but well maintained considering its age.

2020-02-10Great place to spend 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Trains are roomy and empty. Atmosphere is usually calm, managers are soft spoken, during working hours you can hear a pin drop - they taking notice pollution seriously here. Workers are looking happy and well rested: they a fully ready for day, full of accomplishments.

2019-09-17Heres a real review from a person that doesnt work there but a customer that deals with the trains on a daily basis. I dont know what they do here but it is definitely not maintaining or overhauling. Trains are always late, trains are always dirty and trains are always skipping stops because of last minute unannounced track problems. So no, this place doesnt deserve 5 stars and stop patting yourselves on the back

2019-05-04Beuracracy, waste, workers work on average 2 hours for every 8-12 hour shifts, if I recall from a news report. Ridiculously and thoroughly corrupted...hence the wonderful service provided by the MTA.

2018-04-09This location is in charge of building and maintaining motors, compressors, and NYCT train cars. There is also an NYPD training area and shooting range here. It is not open to public, so unless you work for MTA or NYPD, you most likely will not be allowed in.
