I can not recommended this salon and Marta enough! After receiving highlights instead of balayage, my hair had harsh color lines and little to no natural look. After finding Mure online due to their star reviews and social media following, I went in for a consult and found Marta! Marta was so kind and thorough and helped fix my hair!! She did a root shadow and was able to blend my hair to look more natural. Not only did she do a wonderful job, it happened to be pouring and she offered to dry my jacket in the dryer! Overall great experience and I cannot wait to go back to get a full balayage.
Adriana did an incredible job with my hair. I went from brunette to blonde and I am blown away by her work! Definitely will go back to Mure Salon.
I came here this past Sunday for balayage and Adriana worked some serious magic!! The before pic is slightly embarrassing, but it was necessary to show the transformation . I asked Adriana for an ashy blonde and it came out amazing. I didnt even think my hair could get to the color that I wanted, but she absolutely delivered and I am so so happy! I live in Brooklyn now but I still trek up to the UES to go to this salon for my balayage because it never fails me. I have had my hair done now with Adriana, Ronelle, and Lona , and theyve all been fabulous and so sweet. Its a great experience all around and Ill continue coming back!Top Salon In NYC!!!
Best blonde balayage experience Ive ever had. I was blonde for many years before, but decided to go back to my natural brown because of the bleach damage. After 4 years of being a brunette, I decided to go back. Dina gave me realistic expectations right away but her results are phenomenal. For the first time ever, I didnt lose any length during the bleaching process. She and her assistant took her time with me and used extra low developer to ensure no breakage and to maintain my hair health. While other salons took me from 0-100 right away without regard to hair health, Dina took her time and was extra caring. I am extremely impressed with the color from being almost fully virgin hair to the exact icy blonde color I wanted. If you want the perfect blonde, this salon (and especially Dina) should be your first choice!!

Mure absolutely SAVED my hair and therefore, my life. About 3 weeks ago, I came into Mure directly after having gone to a salon not too far, completely distraught due to the color of my hair. Mure took me in when I least expected it, they had a tiny opening that they so graciously fit me into, and quickly calmed me down. I showed them a photo of what I was attempting and they immediately got to work. After about 3 1/2 hours, MY HAIR WAS TRANSFORMED. They truly worked magic on me. All the orange, brassy tones were gone from my hair (which was previously brunette with some blonde streaks). They evened out all the grey/white tones and created a beautiful blend of milky blonde and other blonde tones that I am obssesed with. It’s growing out beautifully, as the balayage correction they did was so organically painted onto my hair. My hair was also not destroyed after, which I was worried about after having put my hair through the ringer at the previous salon. They took very delicate care of it and it felt very thick and vibrant after! They blew it out for me and sent me on my way, extremely happy. I will never go anywhere else - if you’re thinking of doing ANYTHING to your hair, look no further. You’ve found your spot!
I went for a balayage at the beginning of the month with Lona my husband booked the appointment for me i had no clue until i got there and let me tell you the professionalsm and how knowledgeable they are and they make you feel so good from the moment you walk in till you walk out i loved loved how my hair came out i cried when I got home of pure happiness i felt incredible Lona your an angel! Ill see you in 3 months like we discussed cant wait!!
Kadir is a master for color! He has an amazing way of balancing your desired look with keeping the health of your hair in focus. I was so happy with my balayage. I will definitely be back!
I never take the time to post a negative review but this is my 3rd unpleasant experience with them (my fault for continuing to give them chances but I won’t be going back). I really don’t get why this place has such high reviews :/I got a horrible balayage back in March, a bright blonde against my dark brown hair after I mentioned wanting it natural and subtle (and showed pictures!) I then went back to tone it and the environment was awkward and unwelcoming. I decided not to review as I understand we’re all human but I just left after I had called and stated I ONLY needed a trim, no blowdry. I arrived and was told $90 is with or without a blowdry and how they don’t offer haircut-only services. Why wasn’t this mentioned when I called? $120 haircut (with tip) is insane - even for NY. The receptionist/overall customer service is so condescending too - main reason why I’m leaving this review.

Richard is amazing!! I came to Mure after my usual salon couldn’t fit an appointment in, and all I can say is wow! Richard will now be my go to for anything hair related!I got a beautiful, clean, crisp blonde which was better than I could have imagined and a cut which has left my hair feeling so healthy. As if his talent wasn’t impressive enough, I was also delighted to spend so long in the chair with him as he had me relaxed, laughing and having a good time!100% I will be going back and would really recommend Richard!
So I don’t normally post reviews but here it goes. My fiancé has been getting highlights and styling here for the past 6 months or so. Every time she’s gone they’ve done an awesome job—her hair looks movie star good and they treat her like a princess so I really appreciate this place.

This is the only hair salon I love coming to. I don’t trust any other hairstylist with my hair I’ve had bad experiences but this place brought me a perfect experience. Benjamin does a phenomenal job & is always listening to your needs & gives you the hair you dream of !He answers all your questions and gives the best advice for your hair which brings so much life to it. I called in the morning and they got me in that night. I couldn’t be happier with the way my hair turned out. It was exactly what I hoped for. I went in looking for a quick tone and a haircut. I wanted something to take out the yellow of my balayage that has grown out. They heard me and definitely understood the assignment. Mure salon is definitely on the pricier side but I promise you, you will leave there feeling pretty. My only complaint- some of the stylists didn’t have masks on. In a pandemic, in the city, you expect all workers that aren’t going to be socially distanced to have masks on, period. Other than that, I was super happy with my visit to mure.
I have been going to Mure Salon for almost 3 years now, and I have never had less than a 5 star experience. My color is always perfect and the cut gives me the curtain bags of my dreams and never too much off the ends. Dina is the woman of my dreams! Will never go anywhere else.

I’ve been here a few times with other stylists and my blonde balayages have always come out beautifully, but in the past few months, I decided to try out a DIY blonde kit. Little did I know that it had hydrogen peroxide, which completely turned my hair orange! After trying blue shampoo and other online home remedies, I decided to go back and have it fixed at the salon.I had the pleasure of having the lovely Richard, who completely transformed my hair from day to night into a beautiful golden dirty blonde with dimension again! He’s so talented and I highly recommend him.

Received a haircut two weeks ago at this place. First time, I went for the good reviews. I am biracial with thick, curly 2C/3A hair. Of course I was nervous that they couldnt cut on my curl type, but Benjamin gave me great fresh layers and now after styling both curly and straight I can say it was worth every penny. Curls look and feel amazing, the layering is near perfect. Will definitely return - dont be afraid to get your cuts here if you have curly hair! Note: but ask for Benjamin who knows curly hair intimately.

Today was my first experience at Mure Salon and I must say the results are outstanding! I researched and researched and decided due to many wonderful reviews on the internet to work with Dina. I was there for several hours. Dina is just amazing and exceeded all my expectations. She truly is an artist when it comes to balayage, color, and hairstyling. Really all the salon staff is kind and accommodating. Kadir was there and helped with giving his opinion as well regarding color. I really love the way the staff in this salon are so accommodating and really aim to please as well as work together to get the best results. I am very picky when it comes to hair color etc but I would not hesitate for a moment to say what a delightful experience. I highly recommend Dina and Mure Salon.
This was my first time at Mure after 2 close friends recommended. I booked an appointment with Lona for a haircut. Lona and the team service was 10/10. Lona’s attention to details, professional service, and personality. I’m very selective when it comes to hair care and I can say that I definitely found my place to get my haircut.

Spent 5.5 hours and $600 and walked out looking like I did my own hair! I went back to tell Benjamin I was unhappy with the way I looked and what he could do better next time he told me there wouldn’t be a next time with him. He couldn’t take criticism and says we lost “trust”. Excuse me?He literally flat ironed my hair and then passed me off to another stylist to finish cutting my hair. A $95 haircut that took 5 minutes. Very disappointed and upset with the entire experience!

Incredibly disappointed. I got my hair colored blond back in December and was overall happy with the process. I scheduled a toner and color touch up after 2 months at the stylists suggestion. Fast forward to that appointment and that stylist has left the salon and there are no notes on what color she used in my file. Someone else stepped in and tried her best but I walked in ashy blond balyage and walked out fully brunette. 4 hours of color treatment undone in 30 minutes, and I had the privilege of paying for that mistake. They offered to redo my hair again, but Im not eager to do ANOTHER double process within just a few months. I dont want to kill or overprocess my hair. And after such a mistake, honestly, Im not really eager to try this salon again. Im trying to be understanding that everyone tried their best and mistakes happen, but Im the one who has to walk around every day with this hair and it fully isnt what I wanted.Every time I see myself in the mirror I get more upset.
Best salon on the UES. I had a double process bleach color done at another NYC salon and it came out slightly orange and yellow. The Mure salon (Christine) was able to cancel out the brassy orange tones with toner and made my hair color into a beautiful ash blonde—now looks natural. Also, Christine gave me the perfect layered haircut. Really outstanding work. I’m going to be moving out of state, but I’m considering flying back here (once the pandemic improves) just so I can see Christine for my color/cut again.
Writing this review as a warning for people with my hair type. Don’t come here if you have curly and/or dense hair. I straighten my hair myself and I do a pretty good job, but I was in dire need of a haircut.Firstly, the stylist and her assistant both kept trying to convince me to leave my hair curly (probably ‘cause they couldn’t/didn’t want to handle so much hair). I just came for a blowout and haircut, not to be convinced to let my hair be its natural texture. It was annoying to hear this over and over. Aside from this, they were nice enough and did an ok job at blowing out and straightening with a flat iron, but I had to redo the roots myself at home. I was very close to offering the stylists to let me blowout and straighten my hair since they seemed to struggle so much with it.Now the main reason - aside from my texture and their lack of experience with it - I’m writing this review is the haircut itself. Even with my hair cut dry, it is a terrible haircut. I wanted to leave as soon as possible after because I realized the haircut was just choppy and not what I asked for. Thankful it’s not a complete mess. Going to have to let it grow out a bit then get it fixed elsewhere.I had been to this salon a few times, but to see Leah, who is no longer there. I don’t believe they have anyone who can handle my hair type and density anymore. Just a warning to other women with curly hair and/or with a lot of hair like me.
I love getting Keratin here because they use Peter Coppola products (and Oribe for shampoo / styling). I’ve gone to Adriana and she’s always been phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Mure Salon is one of the best salons on upper east side, I was looking for a blonde balayage and they nailed ld it!!! They did an amazing job and i happy to say this is my new favorite spot!
I would give zero starts if I could. I went in for a cut and color but mainly coloring. The color didnt turn out at all! I wanted to go from dark brown to light brown, I even walked in to make the appointment to make sure they could do that. I was told it wouldnt be a problem, until after the 3rd application of toner and only then told that it wouldnt be possible because it was hard to get. WHAT?? Well, why didnt you say something before we even started and I would have tried a different color. I left with extremely dry brown hair with red splotches. And the cut, oh Jesus, if thats what you want to call it. I brought in a picture of how I wanted it, and have had that cut several times before. I went in with fringe bangs down past my chin and my over all length about 6 inches. I now have super short hair, to what looks like a modified bowl cut. Ive never had a cut this bad in my life. I have no bangs, and about 6 months of horrible ugly hair to grow out. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I just moved to NYC from NJ and had balayage done to my dark hair from different best/top-rated balayage hair salons. While there are some that are fairly better than others in terms of executing what I envisioned, none had surpassed my expectations like Mure! I had looked into Mure a few years ago and wanted to try them out for the longest time and and finally had the opportunity to!Adriana was my hair stylist and was very accommodating to my needs- she asked me what I was looking for and I said to go lighter on my current balayage. She was honest in her opinion about achieving the look I wanted without damaging my hair. Throughout the process, she always checked in to see how Im doing and worked with grace and speed without compromising my look! My hair turned out absolutely stunning at the end and I was very pleased! If you want the best, you have to invest in the best (service and products alike)! Overall, I am very thankful for this first time balayage experience at Mure with Adriana and will look forward to be a consistent client while Im living in NYC!
Kadir did such a fantastic job with my hair - I got blonde balayage and a haircut/style and am obsessed with how my hair looks. I get nervous when going to a new hair stylist because Im never sure if I am explaining what I want correctly, but his work is PERFECT. It looks so good, definitely will not be going anywhere else while I am living in New York.As for covid precautions, everyone is (correctly!) wearing a mask and there are plastic dividers in between each work station!
I am so happy and blown away by Mure Salon. Hes so amazing and I finally found the Latin version of Vidal Sassoon in New York. He understood everything we discussed in our consultation and worked his magic after. My hair feels so much lighter but still long and full like I wanted. The color looks great and it was so impressive to see him work his magic during the entire process. I highly recommend this salon as the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Cant wait for my next visit.
I’ve gotten my hair cut here before and it was great. I tried to make an appointment over the phone because to reserve one online you need to give a card that is not an AMEX, which is the only one I have. I called to try and make an appointment and I was denied even though I said I would pay cash. I would’ve given my card if they could take it, even though no other salon has ever asked me to give that info for a reservation.
This is the BEST salon not only on the upper east side but in NY. You literally will come out looking and feeling amazing. Benjamin and everyone here are the best of the best!!!!
Mure Salon is by far my favorite salon that I have tried since moving to the city. Ive been a client of Sarahs for over a year now and I absolutely adore her. She does a wonderful job with color and cut and is very creative. I first met her after receiving a haircut that I was not thrilled about. She was able to clean it up and make it look presentable. I have trusted her since! Shes very good at her profession and I wouldnt want to go to anyone else. I highly recommend Sarah and Mure for people who are looking for a new hair stylist and salon. Wonderful experience! Highest recommendation for Kadir and the Mure team. Kadir is incredibly talented and the very best artist I have seen for color correction. My hair was almost 24 long, with the top 6/7 natural roots grown out during COVID, while the remaining length had many layers of red color from years past. Kadir listened patiently to what I hoped to do, and understood immediately. He truly achieved a miracle to lift over 15 of red hair to a gorgeous silvery platinum blonde, perfectly matching & blending with my natural roots. What would have taken me years to grow out he matched perfectly and I am able to keep my long hair! It does take many hours to achieve as he is very careful to make sure there will be no damage to the hair during the process. I am absolutely pleased and overjoyed with the results and absolutely recommend Kadir and Mure Salon for the best color correction ever! The team is very friendly, efficient and expert. Went to the salon hopeful for a great haircut after the numerous positive and ended up with a haircut I did not like. After emailing the salon that night explaining that I did not like my haircut for a variety of reasons I got an immediate response inviting me to come in the next day and to have it fixed. I met with Benjamin and he was amazing and turned my haircut into exactly what I wanted. I really appreciate the professionalism and responsiveness of the salon. They turned my initial negative experience into a really positive one!
Was desperate for a change - Ive always had great blonde hair, but lately my last few colors have been a bit dark - so I searched online, read all the amazing reviews and booked an appointment with Sarah. BEST DECISION EVER! She is an absolute expert at what she does - guided me along the whole process and explained that I had just too many low lights. Well, she fixed that right up! My hair couldnt look better - highly recommend this salon!!
Sarah is absolutely amazing and every time that I have left the salon, I have felt like a brand new person. They make you feel very welcomed and Sarah is the best hair dresser that I know, not only is she talented but she is extremely kind and cares. The salon offers you water when you come in and you could tell that it is a positive atmosphere. I have had terrible experiences before but not here, its a 5 out of 5 stars for me!

Ronelle was amazing. She really went out of her way to make sure I got what I wanted. She continued to check in with me and repeat back to me what I’d told her in order to ensure her assistant got it right. Pricey, but all good salons in Manhattan are.
Decided to come in for a balayage single process after 6 years of no chemical processes on my hair. When making the reservation online I initially wanted to be styled by Benjamin. But Benjamin is an expert on highlights and I wanted a more natural look so Lona was who attended me. At first I was really nervous due to the chemical-free virgin hair; it’s also my birthday weekend - but Lona accommodated me so well that my nervousness was put to rest. Lona is really sweet and accommodating and made sure that my needs and wants were clear and concise. Her assistant was really nice and patient too since I do have a lot of hair, and I cannot wait to come back for a touch up when the time is right. 5/5 stars! And I highly recommend this lively and warm salon to any and everyone!Thank you Mure Salon for the excellent and hospitable services. I will be coming back really soon!
I called and scheduled an appointment for hair coloring makeover and told them I have naturally dark hair but it was colored to medium brown and I want blonde highlights. I said I dont live nearby and I will be coming from Queens. When I came to the salon for my appointment I was told you didnt book enough time by the receptionist who looked very annoyed with me. So anyways I waited for the colorist. Before talking to the colorist the receptionist went to the colorist and said something to his ear because when I sat in the chair the colorist told me that I need color correction and they dont have enough time. I said I dont need color correction but to simply give me highlights and see how light he can do it. Doesnt need to be like the photo I showed. He told me he doesnt have enough time. How is that possible? On the phone I told the receptionist that I have dark hair that was colored to medium brown and I wanted highlights. I am not professional colorist, how do I know how much time to book? This is your job to know. I gave the correct information about my color and what I wanted on the phone. I got very upset and left. I was upset with Mure salon, I was upset with the rude receptionist, I was upset with the colorist and I was upset with the owner (who was witnessing the whole thing from the first chair) because this was before the holiday and I planned everything accordingly to have beautiful hair for holidays. Very frustrating! I left and went to a nearby Starbucks and looked online for a different salon that would be able to take me and I found a great salon 4 blocks away that gave me exactly what I wanted.
Jessica is AMAZING. She asked me all the right questions and was able to nail down the color I wanted PERFECTLY even when I couldnt articulate it myself. I was having a terrible work day and was working the entire duration of my appointment(I am rude, sorry!), and Jessica was super transparent about timing and was incredibly efficient. Mure is one of the best salons in the city. Ive been going there for 5 years and I always leave feeling and looking fabulous. They know how to create the look you want while treating you with kindness and respect. Its not the cheapest place, but if youre looking for the best Mure is it.
Nightmare, bad, unprofessional & rip off! My gf & I have been researching for a good hair salon that would touch up my gf’s already blonde highlights. This was my Valentine’s gift to her. She went into the salon a blonde. These clowns burned her hair and turned her platinum blonde highlights into burnt brassy color. When I say brassy I mean orange & copper. When she complained the stylist said there was nothing she can do, she still needs to pay and to schedule a color correction for a different day and that she would still have to pay for the correction. Is this a joke? The owner Benjamin, who is a joke and looks like Ogre from Shrek, was standing next to the cashier, witnessed the entire thing, saw how unhappy my gf was, and said nothing. Very unprofessional. Unacceptable! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your hair and money and go elsewhere.

I had my blonde balayage done by Lona and the experience was incredible. She was welcoming and did an incredible job with my hair. I found Mure originally on Yelp, but after seeing their Instagram page knew I had to book an appointment. I would definitely recommend this salon for your next appointment!! I came for my hair coloring appointment with my natural dark hair color (never colored before) asking for chocolate brown baliage highlights. The colorist (sorry I dont remember her name) didnt seem confident enough to do it and kept talking me out of it which at that point I should have left but then she said okay Ill give you the color you want. Fried my hair! Also the color is like a penny copper color and very blotchy. So this is what happened: after consultation she went to the back and returned with her chemicals. After applying and having me process, I was sent to the back to get it washed and toned, I NEVER again saw the colorist. An assistant shampoo my hair and applied the toner. Someone else was drying my hair. I said to the person that was drying my hair that I wasnt happy and all I got in response was the colorist is busy with the other customer. I came to pay and I told the receptionist that Im not happy and my hair was fried and NOT the color I asked. The receptionist told me that I must pay and if I need it fixed I will need to schedule another appointment for a different date to come and get it fixed for a price! I walked out horrified and Googled for a salon in the area that was able to accommodate me and fix the mess. It wasnt a hard job but the lack of professionalism is unreal.
1st time there and will definitely go back. If youre searching for the best highlights- trust me, they know what they are doing. Jessica did an amazing job! Best my hair has looked in soooo long. I keep getting compliments.
About 2 years ago I cam across Mure Salon’s Instagram page. I had been looking all over NYC for a hair salon. I loved what I saw and immediately made an appointment. The reception was very friendly and was able to squeeze me in because of my simple color (it is very hard to get an appointment because they are so busy). I was greeted right away when I entered the salon and as I was waiting for my appointment I was offered a glass of wine. I was taken right away and I absolutely loved my hair. I just got back from my appointment for a wash, cut, and blow-dry. It was my first time there (they were lovely, even accommodating me when I was 20mins late to my appointment), and Richard was my stylist.I have to say, it was a very positive experience. I hadnt had a hair cut in over 7 months, so you can imagine the state it was in! Richard was very attentive, and explained everything clearly and in detail. He managed to make what was very dull, dehydrated looking hair, look very healthy and shiny, whilst still maintaining a length I felt comfortable with. The salon staff are very professional but friendly, offering drinks, and always making sure everything was alright. Although Im coming in from out of state, the next time Im in NYC, I would definitely stop by again. If youre in the area, and looking to have your hair done, I would definitely recommend Mure, and Richard, in particular.

Benjamin is the most outstanding colorist/hair dresser Ive ever known. Though hes known for his expertise with blondes, I want the red heads out there to know that hes an expert with our color too. I am a natural red head and its been frustrating through the years to get the right color that doesnt fade out since red oxidizes so quickly. Benjamin uses a two step process that locks the color in and since Ive been seeing him, I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair. Hes a wonderful man filled with wisdom, humor and generosity who makes every client in his salon feel like they are a guest in his home, a real plus in the City. I have recently moved out of state but still come into NYC regularly to have Benjamin do my hair and Im not alone - I am one of many regulars who wont go anywhere else.

For all the BLONDE ladies. It is so hard to find someone who knows how to color blonde hair where you leave the salon feeling 100% satisfied with the result. Richard at Mure has truly mastered this craft. After having my hair highlighted by him the first time I moved to the city I cant imagine getting it colored by anyone else. He pays attention to detail and really listens to what I want while always maintaining the integrity of my hair. I cant say enough good things! I always leave looking and feeling like a million bucks!
When I arrived to my appointment and showed them a photo of what I wanted the stylist told me that she doesnt have enough time and she can either do whatever color she can with the time she has or I can come back some other day. I figured because I was there already might as well. I should have walked out! She fried my hair. The color was orange brassy. Extremely disappointed! I was still charged the full price even though I said I wasnt happy. I had to wait for my hair to get healthier so I could go elsewhere and get what I wanted.

On Friday, I made my way to the upper east side to visit the top salon in NYC, Mure Salon. I walked in and was immediately warmly greeted by everyone, Gabby the receptionist, Benjamin (known for the best blonde highlights), and of course Leah. She was the stylist doing my hair. I was so excited for this appointment. I came a few months ago for the first part of my balayage. I was making a big change, going from jet black hair to a light balayage. Who best to do this with? LEAH! She remembered exactly the picture I showed her previously and jumped right into work. She also made sure my glass was filled with wine constantly. Not only is she an amazing hair stylist who is literally the queen of balayage, but she is also great to speak to. Never a dull moment with her. After my beautiful balayage, she gave me a haircut and a blow dry with beachy waves. I loved my results. I have one more session with her and I’m already counting down!
Kudir isnt worth the hype. Came in with dark hair and left with orange patchy highlights and still had to pay. Had to go elsewhere to get it corrected
I researched the best salon on upper east side and found Mure! The staff is extremely attentive and they all work as a team to make sure clients walk out happy. The atmosphere and experience is amazing...you can relax with a glass of wine that they offer at each appointment. I would highly recommend!
Best for Blonde Highlights – I have been a client of Mure Salon for a year now. I found out about the salon from some coworkers at work (because I loved their hair!) Both of them are blondes and recommended Benjamin. I am so glad I found him! He is really an expert at blonde hair. My hair is thick and curly but he colors and styles it in a way that is flattering even when I straighten it. I only have to go every 2 months because he gets the color so close to the root I live in Murray Hill but Benjamin is worth the travel time to the UES!

This place needs some honest reviews.Yes, they can make anyone blonde, but AT WHAT COST??? Using an extremely high % of developer and blasting the heat, BENJAMIN FRIED OFF the top layers of my hair, giving me hot roots and making it impossible for my hair to hold a style.I had to cut off 13 inches and have my hair color-corrected. It will take forever to grow out the burnt pieces.Furthermore, the highlights BENJAMIN gave me just look like an allover color, there is NO DIMENSION whatsoever.STAY AWAY. Any salon that advertises itself as a niche (blondes) is odd: a good hairdresser can create any color and look.
My experience at Mure Salon with Sarah was absolutely amazing. I came in for a color correction, and Sarah was so helpful and kind to me about the entire situation. Her and the other stylists really made sure to take the health of my hair seriously and ended up fixing my hair better than I could have ever expected. I was almost in tears at the end of my appointment because I couldnt believe how much better my hair looked. I cannot thank Sarah enough for helping me feel confident again. Kadir!!! I have very difficult hair that loves to maintain red/ orange tones- so numerous hair dressers (before MURE) have had a difficult time over the years whether it was to go blonde or brunette. Kadir was recommended to me by Benjamin and the results were FABULOUS. He was able to get the PERFECT blonde balayage that I have been trying to achieve for years! NO SWEAT. I also have worked with BENJAMIN who is extremely accommodating and worked with me knowing how difficult I was.. I am extremely grateful for MURE salon and their service is PRICELESS :) :)

Im a high school student from Sydney and decided to go to Mure salon while in New York. I chose to book into Mure because of the great reviews I read online. However, my experience was very disappointing, and the greatest waste of money. For a full head of highlights (with orlaplex and no blowdry) it cost me $280 USD ($374 AUD) I was prepared to pay that much for the excellent service I was expecting which is A LOT of money for a young person. I was booked in for the 2nd of Jan (post New Years, so understandably I expected the salon to be very busy). I was booked in for Yasmin, who was unfortunately sick, and had Ben take over. The salon was quite small and the basins were extremely uncomfortable - no neck rests. I thought Benjamin was lovely at first, I showed him a picture of what I was aiming for, and explicitly said I wanted COOL toned blonde, making it very clear I wanted to eradicate all reminants of yellow left in my hair from the previous job I had done in Sydney. However, when my hair was finished it was yellow. I told Benjamin that I wasnt very happy with the colour explaining that it was a bit yellow, not as cool toned as I wanted. I expected him to immediately say all good Ill put in another toner, however he argued with me as to why I was wrong. Telling me, that in order to achieve the colour I wanted, I needed to come in for more sessions to achieve a lighter colour to then tone down to my ideal colour (which I couldnt do because Im a tourist and was leaving to Philadelphia the next day). Now, what he is saying is true in some cases! However, I spent a year working as an assistant in a hair salon in Sydney. Ive had my hair dyed COUNTLESS of times, my hair was already pretty fair! Ive had my hair done by less experienced hairdressers like apprentices and trainees, the quality of the streaks may not have been great, but I was always able to achieve a cool toned blonde! I was shocked he was argueing with me and tried to tell me I was wrong, abusing his power over me as Im a young person and wouldnt know what Im talking about. I was embarrassed for making a scene and Im typically never the type to confront others, but since I was spending such a great amount of money on something I was looking forward to so much, I stood up for myself. He continued to argue with me and pulled out the colouring book and said I had to bleach my hair literally white until I could achieve the colour I want to, WHICH IS INSANE! after they blow dried my hair for free so I could see the colour properly I was still unhappy. Only at this point did he say I can put in another toner but it wont make a difference. I had a play to go to in a hour and it was not possible to do so anyway, even thoughIm pretty sure he wouldnt have even if I was able to stay. I was charged the full amount I was told, which I was so angered about as I expected a discount. He kept on repeating I just want you to be happy, I clearly was not and stated so. The other hairdressers seemed absolutely lovely and my actual streaks were very nice. Once I returned home, I had my hair toned and it was the exact colour I had invisuoned (COOL TONED BLONDE!). Anyway, now Im happy with my hair, but still very disappointed in my experience. I wont be returning if Im ever in NYC again. Just to state, I dont think the salon itself is bad, perhaps they dont have the toners to do what I wanted, but at least I expected more respect and kindness from my hairdresser.

BEST SALON in NYCBenjiman has been doing my hair for the last 12 years and he is the best. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. It’s naturally very curly & dark brown but Benji has transformed me into one of his signature blondes. Even when I’m have a bad hair day on a hot & humid NYC day- I just pull my hair up and that amazing color or Benji signatire blond, as my girlfriends & I call it, shines through - makes me feel like a millions bucks. He’s hard to get into these days so I book my appointments at least 6 months in advacnce.P.s. turns out Benji has major A list clients now..my friend spotted Lindsey Sookus in his salon last week! Really enjoyed this place. The staff offers you drinks and puts you in a robe. The place is a bit cramped and busy. I had to wait to get my hair washed but the staff was super friendly.

When booking online from their IG page, I found my hair stylist Dina! When I arrived for my appointment, Dina was very attentive and informative in our hair consultation. I showed her what I wanted and she delivered!!! She did more than just change my hair but made feel more confident after my appointment! I couldnt be any more happier with how my hair looks!

After years of bleaching, my hair has never been healthier. She keeps up with all the new trends and it’s a pleasure to catch up with her during my visits. The whole staff is wonderful! 2022-07-28I have lived in New York my whole life going from salon to salon before finding out about Mure. I called and had an appointment made with Maria. It is safe to say I will never go to anyone else ever again.I have dark brown hair and she is able to get me to the light blonde I love without damaging my hair. I love how her number one priority is to keep your hair healthy! She always starts on my hair immediately when I walk in for my appointment. She is so sweet and I always look forward to going back!
