Excellent experience in every way. Drs. Mitnick and Gamms are the best as is the rest of the staff. Came for a 2nd opinion after a diagnosis in FL that didn’t seem correct. It wasn’t. So glad I followed my gut. They made a referral to Richard Shapiro at NYU Langone. He’s top- notch too. Everything came together in less than a month; already had surgery. All will be well in time. Staff is congenial from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. The office is impeccably clean and every need has been considered. Doctors and medical staff explain every step of the way.
Drs. Mitnick and Tasman are amazing. I feel I get caring, attentive and experienced professional care going to them for my breast mammography and sonogram. I travel far every year for my exams.

Dr is wonderfu!l but the office needs updating. The chair partitions are awkward, broken, and useless. It is a anxiety and nerve stressing day when getting tested and this environment adds to the stress. Full disclosure-that is my expertise but the medical field needs to pay more attention to our experience of interiors.

I have used Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography for 38 years. I now live out of state but I will always get back to Murray Hill and Mammograpy and Dr. Mitnick.
I made sure that I arrive promptly as I do for all appointments. Desk support person did not communicate well when I checked in.I stood at booth while she remained silent not acknowledging my appt. and asked who my doctor was. This was for a bone density exam. Question about doctor was not relevant. Then I waited for almost an hour before I was called. This is only after I asked complained about the wait at which time the desk person went to the back to inquire. She then advised that the tech was involved in a procedure and could not leave before. I understand that things like this can happen but was upset about the lack of communication. My time is valuable just as yours. Left with bad taste…
Friendly helpful staff. Wait time pretty good (not long, for mammo or for consult). Docs excellent.

Extremely well run where the comfort of the patient and her health is their top priority. Top doctors and excellent support staff. Every woman knows getting a mammogram every year is stressful in itself and Murray Hill Radiology does their best to mitigate as much added stress as possible. I have been a patient there for over 20 years and I highly recommend them.

I have been a patient of Dr Julie Mitnick for 25 years. Her expertise is of the highest level. She is compassionate and supportive. The results are given within an hour and often sooner. It is wonderful to have the results the same day and to have further evaluation that day if necessary. I have recommended MHR many times.
I was taken right away. The technician was excellent. I had no discomfort at all. Both Dr. Tashman and her assistant were very thorough with the sonogram. My only complaint is I had to carry my garments and there was no bottled water. Mammograms are very traumatic for women. I know I didnt sleep the night before. You had water and snacks in previous years. I never touched the snacks but the water I appreciated. Now that the weather is getting cooler, women have to carry more garments. Its not easy lugging your garments from room to room. If you cant provide lockers then give them a bag.

I have been using Murray Hill Radiology since the late 1980s, and I would recommend them unequivocally. While I have changed radiologists over the years, they have all been excellent. I saw a Dr. Tashman yesterday, and she was professional and explained issues succinctly, carefully and with care. I, who have am in a high risk category for breast cancer because my brother died of metastatic breast cancer in 1999, feel very confident of the care I have gotten over many years.

Technician and staff were great. Basically no waiting.What I wasnt happy with is not getting results immediately like I used to. Waiting 5 business days for it to get to my doctor, then having to wait for my doctor to get in touch with me is too long.
Dr. Minnick and Dr.Tashman saw an abnormality on my mammogram. They explained everything very clearly. Dr. Tashman did follow-up testing and procedures and prepared me for surgery. She was excellent, detailing everything and being very supportive.

Amazing and professional staff and doctors treat you with care and respect! Hate getting my mammogram done but this place makes it so much more bearable. You wait in a lovely space and get your results read by 2 radiologists and your Doc comes in and discusses the results with very little wait time. Dr Julie Mitnick is THE BEST!!
I have always been impressed with the service I receive there and I have been going there for almost 30 years now.The front staff is welcoming and helpful. The environment is clean. The service is prompt and the tests results are available before you leave.The doctors meet you before and after the tests and explain the results of the tests. From warm ultrasound gels to friendly competent technicians they pay excellent attention to customer service. I really feel comfortable there. They are simply the best.

Clean, well-run radiology center. Staff was welcoming and efficient. Radiologist gave me my results immediately after the mammogram. I plan to return to this center for future testing and would recommend it. They take Medicare, which is an important consideration for me.

Staff was considerate and extremely helpful in accommodating my being on crutches for this appointment. From the reception staff, to the technician performing mammogram and the staff facilitating my going to the waiting room, then the examining room, they were, without exception, extraordinary. Murray Hill Radiology provides excellent, professional service from highly competent physicians and technicians. The office is very clean, the front desk staff is very kind and the technicians are very skilled and engaging. I have been a patient at this facility since the late 1980s. I continue to use the services at Murray Hill Radio even though it is an out-of-network facility for me. I will continue to use Murray Hill Radiology as long as Dr. Julie Mitnick and Dr. Barbara Baskin remain. These doctors and the staff are a gift from God!
I have been a patient at Murray Hill Radiology for over 30 years. I lived in NY when I first started going to Murray Hill. Now as a resident of Vermont I drive 4 hours for appointments at MHR. That in itself says plenty!I have always been pleased with the doctors at Murray Hill and the forward thinking of the practice. Iam impressed that the practice keeps updating their equipment. I trust the people who work there and I appreciate how all of the staff treat women!In the past I have waited a long time to have my testing completed. In the past my visits took too long. I didn’t complain and just assumed that everyone was doing the best they could. Because of recent changes, I have found that my last visit went more smoothly than ever before. I had three diagnostic tests and because of the institution of the sono techs, my visit was much shorter and I was taken to each test in a very timely manner! The sono tech, Bonnie, was caring, kind and very thorough. I was totally impressed with her expertise. Needless to say , I hold Dr. Baskin in the highest regard! I thank Murray Hill for their excellence!
This is the greatest mammography center on earth! Julie Mitnick and her associates and staff are fantastic. No woman likes having a yearly mammogram or sonogram or breast MRI but Murray Hill makes the experience pleasant and completely bearable in every way! I give them 1000 stars! Murray Hill Radiology has mastered the art of making you feel privileged to have a mammogram. The technicians are skilled at putting you at ease, the gowns and waiting area are full sized and comfortable. The films are read by highly experienced doctors who personally tell you your results. Dr. Basking was warm and calming. I have been going to the same office for more than 15 years, and I am never uncomfortable or anxious.
Great experience. With each and every encounter one interacts with an extremely professional staff. The office is clean and organized. All the doctors are A+. Best part is that you don’t leave without knowing your results AND results ate immediately sent to the referring physician so that all you’re records are updated.

Murray Hill Radiology is an outstanding facility and I’m so grateful to be patient there. The doctors are the best, the technicians are wonderful and everyone who works there is kind, sensitive, professional and attentive. Most everyone is nervous when they come for their McAfee, etc. I am the exception. All medical issues are dealt with in a thoughtful, professional and empathetic manner.
I loved my radiologist. She was cheerful and efficient and explained everything thoroughly. The office was nicely appointed, and the administrative staff were very efficient and helpful. And wonder of wonders, they have somehow reduced the paperwork and number of questions. This was my fastest visit ever.

Dr. Mitnick is the absolute best! She personally reads the films and has another doctor read them too and she personally tells you the results before you leave. She does everything she can to make the experience as pleasant as possible, right down to the full size cloth gowns rather than the short paper gowns other radiology practices use. I have nothing but positive things to say about this wonderful place I get mammograms and sonograms. The office staff is kind and helpful, and the doctors are superb. This is the most thorough and prompt place I have ever been to for a mammogram. Results are viewed while you are there and additional films are take then if necessary rather than to call you back.
So glad i found Murray Hill Radiology. Mammography process can be very stressful. Murray Hill helps minimize that. Most important to me is getting results right away, knowing the mammography has been read and interpreted by two radiologists on the spot. And i appreciate their thoroughness. If there is a question, you know and have the follow up films on the spot. One appointment, when you leave the office after your appointment, you leave confident, knowing your results. Takes a lot of the stress out of it. I appreciate Dr. Mitnick, who has notable experience and treats her patients with understanding and kindness. I highly recommend this practice.
My experience with Murray Hill Radiology is always top notch! My experience with Dr. Stacy Tashman over the years is the Best! Her special warm personality and caring ways always brings me back to this office! When I had a biopsy about 10 years ago I felt I was taken care of in the most heartfelt way! I was so nervous and she was there for me as I was always asking questions. Thankfully everything was ok too!

Very organized office. i love that you get results immediately. all the doctors and technicians are skilled and professional. this is the first year i didnt receive a reminder about lotion and deodorant before my appointment. i remembered, but told them at the desk and they said i should have received one. this is quite minor, but they said they didnt change the policy and this was just an oversight. EXCELLENT PLACE!
While the doctors and technicians were very polite, thorough and efficient, the wait for both the mammogram and sonogram was too long. My appointment was for 12:00 p.m. and I didn’t leave until after 2:00 p.m.The receptionists could be more helpful and friendly and less attitudinal. One in particular acted annoyed at being asked relevant questions.It was also a bit cumbersome walking from room to room carrying my clothing with me. A small locker would have been nice.
I am a very long time patient (1989). The care is outstanding. Not only are the doctors and support staff extremely professional , but all of them treat me as an individual, greet me warmly and know who I am. A few years ago I was fortunate that they identify a problem and took follow up action the same day. This detection showed that the problem was at a very early stage of development. I have been using Dr Tashman at Murray Hill Radiology for 18 years. Even when things were not perfectly fine, Dr. Tashman and her incredibly competent, kind and compassionate staff made a bad situation bearable. I would HIGHLY recommend this office for your care. I will never go elsewhere.
I have been coming to this office for many years now. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The Drs that I have seen..from Dr. Mitnick. DR. Tashman, Dr. Baskin all have been great. I especially like having my mammogram results before I leave the office. I feel my trip into N.Y. from New Jersey is well worth it. They always seem a step ahead having the latest equipment available.
After an initial mixup — I turned up at the right time, at the wrong facility (I still don’t know how that happened)—Dr. Tashman was warm and professional, and genuinely concerned. Results and images were shared with me immediately, and I have a CD for future reference. One technician at the uptown office seemed judgmental about my not having a mammogram for five years; I was more concerned that she hadn’t read my file: I’ve had a mastectomy. The Murray Hill office is nicer, and seems more efficient. Kudos to my imaging technician, as well.

Came up with a questionable mammogram and they immediately were able to do the needed biopsy on site. Everyone was amazing, kind, efficient and helpful. Been going there for over 20 years. My experience today just confirmed my confidence in their excellent staff and facility.
I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. Part of the reason for my survival is that Dr. Mitnick detected the cancer early both times. I have been a patient of Dr. Stacy Tashman for more than seven years. We met originally when I was referred because of a suspected malignancy; indeed, I had DCIS. Dr. Tashman was kind, compassionate, honest, and knowledgeable. She recognized my anxiety and followed up with me regularly in ways that no one could or should expect of a radiologist. Since that difficult year, she remains professional and humane during my yearly checkups. She continues to provide thorough explanations and to assuage my anxiety, The Murray Hill desk staff are efficient, the technicians methodical and considerate. Murray Hill generally and Dr. Tashman specifically exceeds the standard for good medical care. I applaud their willingness to strive for excellence.
Dr Mitnick is by far the BEST radiologist in New York. She takes her time with each and every patient with an exam before your mammogram. I’ve been going to Dr. Julie Mitnick at Murray Hill Radiology for several years. I can’t possibly express the excellence of this practice. Everyone there , from the receptionists, to the technicians to , of course, Dr. Mitnick is unbeatable. Dr. Mitnick doesn’t let you leave the office without your results. There’s no waiting for some impersonal letter weeks after your exam. I would never trust another office or doctor with my mammogram, which is such an important procedure. In short, they are the absolute best.

Did not have to wait long. The Doctor is a very special woman who cares about the stressful environment of Mammography. The radiologists were kind and patient. The waiting room has the feeling of a collaborative club as we held in our inner fears waiting for our results.

I have been going to Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography for the last thirty years or so. I am always in good hands. I Love my Dr. Baskin and the various staff members that helped me on my visit. It was a trip from Queens where I live.....I now take access a ride which I am greatful for.One moment when I was leaving waiting for my car......one of the staff asked if I was okay.....I said I was starving......she said want to go to the waiting room and get a granola bar......I said if she would not mind getting me one...Blueberry granola bar she got it for me and I ate it in 3 bites.Its a trip for me, my friend says why cant I go to a place where I live,my answer to her was.......I know I am in good hands......why change!!!!My thanks to all that help me and all your patients....
This was the first time meeting Dt. Gamss.She was very friendly and put me at ease immediately. She was extremely professional and while performing the ultrasound told me everything looked fine. When the procedure was over she explained that because my breasts are nolonger dense it was easy to see that everything was fine. She suggested the best way to time my next appointment. Thorough, gentle as possible mammogram. Equipment used is state of the art. Everyone is pleasant. Doctors are excellent. Environment feels very feminine in its sensibility. Waiting area for women after exams doesn’t feel clinical.

Having a mammogram is not the most pleasurable experience in general, but at Murray Hill Radiology every person with whom you have contact makes it as easy and painless as possible. Stress is reduced by caring physicians who work quickly to read and interpret your X-rays and report back to you within the hour. Two physicians read your findings and sign off before sending you on your way. If findings indicate further exams, they explain why and how follow up procedures will be handled. Three cheers and five stars for MHR&M.
I did not get any reminder even though its over a year since I had my last mammogram plus the weather was very windy and very blustery.I finally I reached someone at 8:01 in the morning to confirm that I Did have an appointment at 9 a.m. and somehow managed to get there in time, although a little delay at checking in.The mamograrer was terrific and this was one of the first mamogram that I can recall without pain!I believe it was Bonnie who was also great a did a terrific sonigram...and, needless to Dr Baskin was very efficient, as usual.Checking out was also easy and fast.
This concierge practice has some of the finest doctors in radiology and sonography in New York.Dr. “Eagle Eye” Mitnick takes great care reading mammogram films, gives you results while you wait, and is very caring. Her tools are state of the art, 3-D digital scans.Dr Tashman is dogged and thorough in her examinations. The sonar version of Dr. Mitnick. She literally once saved my life by removing a very early cancer in a biopsy.The front desk nurses and techs couldn’t be more understanding and helpful.All this attentive, expert service isn’t cheap. They don’t take insurance (except Medicare). But when weighing the value of my life against the doctor bill, the fee seems quite reasonable.Pro tip: book early in the day, early in the week. They take a lot of time with patients. Bring a good book.
Dr. Mitnick and the way her mammagraphy practice is run should IMO be considered the gold standard for all practices. Yes, when it comes to mammograms, the most important thing is being able to rely on the pictures taken and doctors ability to detect problems. Here clients know they are in the hands of the best and the equipment is always cutting edge. But what truly sets this practice apart is in addition they go to great lengths to relieve their clients fears. Every single person - from Dr Mitnick to the receptionist treats every client with kindness, sensitivity, and obvious care. What is normally a cold, dehumanizing procedure becomes something much different at Murray Hill Radiology - you almost feel as if you are being pampered at a spa instead of enduring a mammography. Best of all, you don’t leave without knowing the results. I am personally very grateful to Dr Mitnick and this practice. I have been a client for more than 10 years and look forward to many more.

I’ve had a yearly mammogram and sonogram at Murray Hill Radiology for many years. The facility only gets better every year. The drs are all outstanding and all of the technicians and staff are as well. You know you are in the best of hands when u go here. More than one doctor reviews each mammogram and you get your results within a half hour. I’ve used Dr. Mitnick, Dr.Baskin & Dr. Tashman and I think all of them are brilliant, caring professionals and I’m sure Dr. Baron and Dr. Gamss are as well.The equipment is state-of-the-art (3D imaging is available ), the dressing gowns are high quality ( not the thin paper that you freeze in), the wait time ( reasonably on time with some emergency’s that interfere with their schedule but if you have to wait it’s worth the wait, you get the attention you desire). Once you have your mammogram you wait for your results in a cozy separate room that feels more intended to be in a spa ( which has a calming effect and does reduce anxiety which we all have waiting for test results) with decent magazines and new this year - a basket filled with water ( great addition since it was a very hot day ) and great snacks. You are called into a private room to discuss your test results. All of your questions get answered without being rushed. If you need a sonogram to follow you are ushered into another area. The only thing that’s missing here would be a massage on your way out ( maybe next year?). I should mention the office is “out of network” with some drs. accepting Medicare only ( my only complaint).
Very efficient with an outstanding staff. Dr. Mitnick has been my radiologist for over 25 years. All of the equipment is the latest and the best.I travel up from Florida for the expertise that Dr. Mitnick brings to her profession.

Everything moves along very quickly. You are usually out within an hour if everything is negative after the mammogram.Dr. Mitnik is the sweetest lady with a beautiful smile and always instills the greatest confidence her patients.
Dr. Julia Mitnick is a rare breed. She has a great team who all are highly trained and professional. She is an exemplary role model who leads with confidence, knowledge and compassion . She is incredibly smart and very exacting in her work. Dr. Mitnick is A+ in all categories and that is the highest recommendation I can give anyone in any profession. She works with you on solutions if necessary. Dr. Baskin is on point and I must say very dynamic in her work .Dr. Mitnick is one of the brightest minds in her field and a very likeable individual. The doctors are amazing, I continually go here for them. But the wait time is ridiculously long and even when you call ahead to ask if theyre running on time, they say no but come in at your scheduled time. Rather than risk being being bumped, I show up and wait 30 to 60 minutes everytime. And then I wait another 30 to 45 minutes on the waiting area - topless in the gown - with all the other patients who are waiting to hear results.Then the results are given right outside of the waiting area so everyone ends up hearing if youre good to go because they never shut the door in that case. I think they should as I would feel anxious now if they then shut the door with me or if I knew my results. Or, if I knew my results were not good, it might make me jealous (in a normal human nature way) to hear all those with good results. But maybe I am wrong and people like to hear others are ok as it gives hope? Not sure, I just know Id like the door closed.

I have been a patient of Dr Mitnick for 35 years. My mother died of breast cancer so my yearly mammogram causes me sleepless nights, as I have 3 daughters. I have been fortunate to have not been diagnosed with breast cancer and I know that Dr Mitnick cannot influence the mammography result. However. It is reassuring to me to know that Dr Mitnick is an experienced, diligent and dedicated professional and I trust her assessment implicitly.
I waited over an hour to be seen. After 45 minutes I asked why & was told it would be 10 minutes more. After an additional 15 minutes the Dr. came out & said it was going to be 10 minutes more. Finally I was seen by the Dr. the office staff should have told me the Dr was running late but they didn’t. For a private pay patient I felt like the office was run like a clinic with no regard to the patients. Other than the Dr. no one seemed to care.
The care and staff are outstanding. The Doctors really care about their patients. I have been a patient for over 10 years and and they are the best. Worth every penny, (and I pay out of pocket).

I have been going to Murray Hill Radiology for 30 years. I have always had a good experience, except for a few years ago when there was a Medicare issue that the staff handled very badly. On my last visit, everything went well.
Dr Tashman was great. The procedure went quickly, however I had to wait quite a while because of an issue with the patientBefore me. She was extremely apologetic.

2022-06-11I had an excellent experience coming here for my first mammogram appointment! Starting from a solid phone conversation with a friendly and thorough receptionist who prepared me for my visit, and ending with a great team of warm and professional doctors working at the facility. My results were available immediately and the doctor discussed it right then and there. I felt welcomed and in good hands. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

2022-06-23I have been elsewhere in NYC and waited for hours to be seen for a mammogram. I went to MH yesterday and was brought in EARLY. Every single person in the place had excellent, reassuring bedside manner, with the clear sense that they understood that getting a mammogram, etc. can be unnerving. Dr. T was warm, thorough, clear and professional. I was so very happy with my experience.

2022-07-07Fantastic place with fantastic people. Everyone knows having medical tests and procedures is stressful enough. Murray Hill Imaging makes it a little less so. You don’t wait long before competent , kind people get you in, tested and out. I received a call within a few hours of my results. Much better than waiting a week or longer at other places. Worth it!

2022-07-12As always, it went smoothly and in a timely manner. The new location is on a lovely tree-lined street, away from hustle and bustle, and inside the efficiency is notable. I missed, however, the warmth generated by the decor in the waiting area on First Avenue. but all the inside waiting areas were comfortable and the lockers good.

It is disappointing that the office does not at least submit to a patient’s insurance carrier given the comparative expense of this provider.
