My boyfriend lives here, and it is the worst experience every. Please dont go by the 51 positive reviews and average rating, they are fake reviews by staff. If you notice they tend to give kudos to one staff member - all written by the staff probably because the building pushes them to.Overpriced rents, no rent reductions like others in covid, elevator situation is ridiculous for normal times but for covid it is miserable. And building is unresponsive to help calls.
I lived here for a year and I miss all the doormen! The location is great, the price is reasonable, and you will not find another apartment with a pool in Manhattan by a long shot. However, the elevators are a huge pain and at one point, I would wait 20 minutes to go up/down. If it wasn’t for the elevators, I would rate this building 5 stars.
Don’t consider this building, the 5 star reviews are being left by building staff. This building has completely mismanaged the upgrade project on their 3 elevators. Over the past year there have been frequent occasions where only 1 or even 0 of the elevators will be in service for days at a time. The building management has proven incapable of managing the project and it has made living here a disaster. It often takes ~20 minutes to complete a single elevator trip. This building is essentially a 35 floor walk up. If you’re looking for a good daily leg workout though, this might be the building for you.
This apartment s a very good location for us.The management staffs are very friendly and kindness. So we are pleased with this moving. But we have some complaints.First the staff informed us that they will clean our room windows on the Thursday of our moving week, but it hasnt completed yet and no update.Second, our moving company parked their truck on the side of road according to the instruction of the apartment, but it became a parking violation and we paid additional charge to the moving company. Finally, they said they will change the filter of air conditioners to new one, but we havent received any update of the date of it and we have waited for about 2 weeks.
The management team was really helpful in showing me the apartment and the building. The application process was all done online, which made it easier and faster. Also, moving in was so easy, Bill (member of the management team) was really helpful in making sure I had everything I needed to move in. The staff are really great at the building and the amenities make this place a great place to live at. Overall, Ive been really enjoying my stay here!
I have been living in Murray Hill Tower for 5 years now and could not be happier. The apartments are massive with walkin in closets and an extra powder room in the 1 bedrooms. There are balconies on every apartment except for the studios. The studios here are basically 1 bedrooms. The building was recently renovated inside the apartment kitchen and baths, lobby, and hallways. The rooftop is gorgeous with modern furniture and exotic landscaping. Theres an indoor pool which is nice to have access to year round. The views are amazing with the East River, UN, and Chrysler Buildig all in sight (even in the gym!). The lounge is fantastic and the perfect space to rent out for a get together. Having laundry on each floor makes life so much easier too.I love having Grand Central within 5 minutes walking distance. Trader Joes is opening just a few blocks away this week too! The service team is great and the doormen, Concierge, Leasing and Management team all know my name. They know I have a package and bring it out before I even ask. Everyone is always cheerful and very responsive with a smile. While maintenance issues arise in any building, you can see how hard these guys work to address emergencies as quickly and efficiently as possible. After looking all over the city and Murray Hill, I am lucky to have found the space that works best for my roomate and I and could not imagine calling anywhere else home.
My movers were a total disaster!! They got to the building very late but the staff of Murray Hill Tower Apartments were nice enough to help out and get our furniture and boxes in our apartment. They also made sure we did not need anything and offered to bring our empty boxes down for us. We could not ask for more.
Ive only really just visited my sister here (okay, for weeks at time, because NYC) , but I could live on the sun deck. The view is incredible and you just feel like youre a millionaire with a penthouse. Also, the lobby is pretty fancy looking. Staff was nice and professional. I know my sister really likes it, so theres that.
Elevators are a DISASTER. Last night was a 40 minute wait they said because the elevator was broken. But there is a wait on a normal day. So slow it is ridiculous.Sorry I moved in.Of course no management around to be found. The price for rent and amenity fee is a joke. The only amenity I have time to use is the elevator and it is rarely usable. I use the stairs only to go down.
I have to say I went to visit a friend at Murray Hill Tower. I was delighted to have met Kelvis at the concierges. He was extremely helpful and went out of his way to answer my questions about the address I was going to. I was grateful for his expertise in giving me the exact directions. Thanks so much for all your help. It was much appreciated. The building is beautiful and very clean.
Do not live here. ONE out of 3 elevators is functional at most times. Absolute nightmare, oh and there have been times when none of the elevators are functional.Edit: The positive reviews are fake, just look at the resident portal or ask any of the residents who actually live here about how bad it is.

2021-11-29Clyde was the absolute best leasing consultant I have ever worked with. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to the apartment units they have to offer. I was very impressed by his kind and caring personality. He genuinely wants the best for his residents & will do anything it takes to make them comfortable at their new home. He is almost always available and answers questions very quickly. Thank you for all of your help Clyde. You are appreciated!

2021-11-13Stopped by this morning just to get some information for my daughter since she is moving to the US in May and I was greeting my gentleman named Clyde. He was simply... world class. He invited me to the office and gave me a complete overview of this building, even took me on a tour of a few units and the dashing amenity spaces. He is extremely knowledgeable of the building and NYC in general. He was such a treat and I look forward to contacting him in the spring time. He showed impressive candor and he shows knowledge, I couldnt have asked for more. Thank you Clyde!

2021-06-22It is just in the center of the city! The location of the building is so convenient that you can go anywhere in or out of the city easily from Grand Central terminal; The apartment layout is rare to see in Manhattan. They have huge living rooms with two dinning alcoves or one dinning alcove with a walk-in closet, great concept for flex for an extra bedroom and sharing with your roommates - a huge saving of rent; There is a washer/dryer on each floor, according to my experience, I never needed to line up for my laundry; The amenities are amazing with only a small monthly charge, including an indoor pool, fitness center, resident lounge and an incredible rooftop with gorgeous East River view! Highly recommended! By the way, all the three elevators are back this week! No more elevator issues!

2021-04-02I just moved out of the building but I could of stayed forever just for the staff and amenities. The doorman were always so helpful and kind! Clyde, helped with switching my lease in a timely manner and was helpful with answering any questions I had. The gym was clean and great for use during quarantine, and the pool is a hidden gem.

2021-09-03Korab & Clyde have gone ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate me in this building. This will be my second year living here and I couldn’t be more excited. I was in an urgent situation to find an apartment and within 20 minutes I had a lease to move in just a few floors up. I decided I wanted to move in earlier and Clyde & Korab took less than 24 hours to answer all my questions and generate a new lease for me with help to move in upstairs. Couldn’t be happier to be living here again

2020-12-23WORST experience Ive ever had with an apartment building. Had constant management issues from the day we signed the lease to collecting our security deposit after moving out. Least helpful people Ive ever encountered, especially during an pandemic. Wouldnt recommend living here to anyone! The positives of the building do NOT outweigh the issues you will have while living there.
