A lovely time to spend a few hours. There is an eclectic group of rooms featuring tasty treats done up in a Wonkaesque manner. As you go through youll be given samples of ice cream, soft serve, even eclairs. The slide was one of my favorite bits: it goes faster than you think! Overall a really good time to be had for kids and adults of all ages!
So fun and colorful. Perfect for people of all ages, it will bring out the inner kid in us all. The bathrooms smell sweet👌🏼The staff are so sweet! Great for date nights, girl day, or just to switch it up. It’s nice with one or two people but the more people in your group the better. There are 4 different ice cream stops where you can try different ice cream goodnessCan’t wait to come again with a big group.
I came here to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved every bit of this place. The staff was SUUUUUUUUPER sweet and kind! My friends and I had a blast. There are so many cute photo ops that will not disappoint you. This place brought the kid out of me especially the delicious ice cream. Oh and the slide was my favorite!!
I took my daughter here for her 10th birthday. She had so much fun! I enjoyed the ice cream but I wish they had more options of ice cream to chose from. The prices were also a bit extreme for me. ($5 for a bottle of water!)😂 Overall I give it four stars because we were able to take some amazing photos and my kids loved it. I’d take them back again.
Had my first visit to the Museum of Ice Cream August of 2021 on a girls trip to NYC. I had a total blast. I loved the early 2000s hip hop music they were playing. Every room was Instagramable and every room served ice cream. The decoration and experience was so memorable.Visited again Christmas week of 2021 with my husband and kids. I was so excited to bring them and show them this fun place. The Museum of Ice Cream had their Pinkmas decor set up so I thought it would be even better decked out in Christmas decorations. My first visit was 5 star and my second experience was 3 star. The staff was great. They were all nice and the initial person to hype you up for the experience was great. The decor and ice cream was a let down. First it was not extremely different from the regular non Pinkmas decor. The cloud room was dark, it wasnt even working. Some of the trees had lightbulbs that were out. It just seemed not well put together.Ice cream was not served in all the usual rooms. Some of the rooms were dirty. My kids enjoyed the sprinkle pool and slide room the most. I am happy to see that they removed the harder sprinkles for bigger and softer sprinkles for people to slide and jump into.Im giving them a 4 star as I do think this place is great maybe the holidays and covid just got the best of them.
Celebrated my sons 14th birthday there. Loved it. Was fun for him and for me. I think for all ages. Stuff is amazing, ice-cream is very tasty and there is lots of it so dont eat before going there. Activities were fun. He love the pool the most and didnt want to go. Great experience
I never thought my children would say, No more ice cream! but they did here. Do NOT pre-purchase the milkshake -- you wont need it and its not worth the $$. Its truly too much. They serve ice cream around every corner, and theres no educational value. We all had tummy aches. The experience, while more expensive than the value, was enjoyable. The highlights were the 3-story slide, indoor playground, sprinkle pool with diving boards, and the virtual pile of leaves. The shop has some adorable things in it! We recommend The Color Factory over MOIC.
BEST MUSEUM EVER. Although the entrance is high in price you start with creating your ice cream name, then you get a free soft serve ice cream, there is an activity sheets on the tables for you to complete, then all the rooms are so cute, pink, fun and you feel in candy land. There are some activities such as whac-A-mole game, a slide, mini rock climbing wall, and a sprinkle pool.
This spot is less of a museum and more of cultivated backdrops for an Instagram shoot. As long as you know that going in, its an awesome way to spend an hour, especially with kids and/or to escape the rain. Also be aware that while ADA compliant, not all exhibits are conducive for those who have limited mobility and for that I deducted a star. This is a sensory and sugary feast for all ages
I came here with my son (10 yrs old)a week ago (the employees were great, super friendly, shout out to Buttercup who invites you in & tell you some facts, the girl/person who works the cookie monster ice cream stand on Sat & the person working the entrance of the sprinkle pit area on Sat afternoons - super professional, went above & beyond, very friendly 👏) & he def enjoyed himself & I love that we have that memory together. That being said...I think the set up was cool w the slide and super kid friendly, I did expect alittle more pizazz & eye candy. Also I saw in a article they had Dylans candy there but I didnt see any. I do think though that its alittle over priced for what you get/experience. I would feel better paying more $20 per adult $15 kid but thats me. I also wish they had more photo opportunities & heard rumors of a chocolate room that I didnt see there and went in every room. The ice cream is subpar and the extra is crazy expensive youre better off going to a Mr frosty truck outside lol. But for the kids its a fun place to say you have been, they do need to clean the play areas more though.
We wanted to get into the first session of the day but ended up being in the evening session. Had two under two kids, and my 23 month old loved it! Every room was perfect for him. It was dead because we went ahead of the group while they ate ice cream. Which meant we had every room to ourselves, so nice! The sprinkled pool is the last room and we could have spent hours there!
We had a good time here. There were several stations with good size samples of icecream, sorbet, gelato, popsicles and more. Photo opportunities were around every corner, including the last stop which was a giant sprinkle pool. The only downside was the price. After the ticket and fees it ended up being 57 dollars, which I felt was a little pricey.
The museum is beautiful! Ice cream on every floor, I couldn’t even finish lol.The children had a blast. Definitely bring your cameras ! Top floor has a slide that goes down aka the end of the tour. They do follow steps to stay safe from Covid. Weekdays are better than weekends for sure especially if youDon’t want to be around too many people. They take a break in between where they close and clean before reopening .
This is by far the most fun and unique museum I’ve ever been to! I felt like this brought back my childhood and I really overate on ice cream. There are 13 rooms and 4 different ice cream stops, plus a front bar where you can order more! This place is perfect for pictures and tourist visits. We met Mochi in the gift shop who was very sweet and kind. A great visit!
Ive been trying to visit MOI for a long time and finally made the visit this year I had lotssss of fun. I was sad to not actually participate in a few of the attractions in the museum because I didnt feel comfortable with COVID running rapid. But Id recommend people go and try the ice cream (allergy warning on a few) take all the pics you can (your Instagram feed will look beautiful) and whatever you do dont skip the slide otw out!
It was a great experience! The free ice cream includes sorbet, popsicles, and ice cream of various flavors! There were stops that had activities that you could do and various selfie/photo-op opportunities. You had the option of going down the slide, stairs, or elevator half way through.
Really interesting experience here. Basically unlimited various pink and colorful ice cream and sorbet in five stations throughout a three story complex. The visuals are absolutely stunning and Instagram-friendly. The staff was super excited and helpful. The layout and ideas are well thought out, including a mock NY city subway car, sprinkle pit, indoor playgrounds, coloring stations, and a slide going down from the third to the first floor. There are multiple elevators for those with strollers, and this is a perfect place for those with young kids. The line was about 10 people long at 12:30pm on a Sunday, but was about 50-60 long around 2:30pm. No need to get the F&B or drink package. I was kind of craving some chocolate, which I only got at the final station (ie cookie monster). I didnt get much in the way of history (no video component), but I dont think the kids cared. We were there for two hours, and we were on our feet for most of it.My only substantial gripe here are the fees. While they dont charge admission for 2 and below, regular tickets are advertised at $44, but with taxes and fees these come out to about $60 per person. Its kind of false advertising in that theres no asterisk or anything on the initial page showing the $44 price. And when you have tourists or those coming from outer boroughs thinking they are spending $44, but actually spending $60 with a family of 4, it can certainly add up.
May not be entirely what you expect. Its incredibly vivid and bright, A+ for some Instagram pictures, with multiple stations for ice cream sampling (with some really nice flavors), but admittedly I was hyping myself up to get some education about the history of ice cream and didnt learn a single thing.
The icecream is not special and it doesnt taste good at all and the price 60$ for 2 or 3 scopes of icecream and walk around this location is not worth that money or experience. However, this location is pretty nice to visit and try something new every while. I do think this location can have alot of improvements, like adding new icecream flavors with less sugar options. Or even more yogurt based icecreams options.I didnt enjoy the icecream at all which is what this place is supposed to be. My local icecream has way better options, tastier and can get me go back all the time for the options they have.I cant really recommend this location but it depends on how you would feel to try new things.
It was a fun experience, got to eat ice cream through out the visit. I gave it 4 starts because its not really a museum where you get to see the history of ice cream or see old tools/machines of ice cream making, there is only one time line in the waiting area but dont really have a lot of time to read through it. All the other spaces are just to take like Instagram photos. A bit pricey for what you get to see, but its worth it if you like Instagram type photos and eat ice cream.
Had a great time! Gave us a lot more ice cream than I anticipated. Went here for my sisters bday and they gave her fave ice cream, sang to her, and the employees were all super nice and added to the experience from the lining up outside to the indoor experience. Wish we knew about the free entrance code for birthdays 😭😂🙃 oh well guess we’re just gonna have to go back for someone else’s birthday soon. Highlights were the slide and the sprinkle pool. It was a great time and happy to have experienced it with my siblings and my mom.
Our visit was AMAZING. Every room was great, my daughter, niece, sister-in-law and I had sooooo much icecream and it was just overall fun. Each room was perfect for taking pics. I would certainly return again. I only wish I knew that there would be samples of icecream throughout, I would not have bought the sundae beforehand. But I still had a great time.
This was made for instagram. If you want to take nice photos for the gram, you would probably spend the money. Visited during the day which cost about $50USD. I didnt realize they tacked on tips and fees on top of the admission so that was not great. When you think about the conversion to Canadian.... Yea not great is right. It was an experience which is a memory you have and something to do when youre visiting but regardless, still very expensive. We got to try 4 different icecreams - many of which are not dairy to accommodate for people with allergies. First one was a vanilla sorbet that looked pink. Second was an option between a raspberry sorbet or a peppermint vanilla icecream in a cup. Third was a cherry sorbet in a cone. Fourth was an option between cookie monster icecream or vanilla sorbet in a cup. Tbh none of the icecream was something I would order myself... So $50 was a hefty price tag. Though, the interactive rooms were very aesthetically pleasing.Save money by going during the day on the weekday. Still expensive but at least youre saving something. I probably wouldnt recommend it to people who think youre going to learn anything about icecream. It literally was just photo ops and samples to try. No history or any process of making icecream. Not really a museum when you come to think of it.... Lol but again.... Do it for the gram?
Ive visited the Museum of Ice Cream before the pandemic and it wasnt nearly as crowded as it was when I visited this year. I decided to visit again due to their pink Christmas theme.I purchased the tickets online for 4PM but I shouldve purchased them for 5:30PM when kids arent allowed. For 3 tickets it was $151.89 which was pricey but I decided on going since my cousin was visiting. We visited on Black Friday btw so I knew it would be crowded.I love that the train stops right on Prince Street which is right across the street from the MOIC. When walking towards the museum, we see a long line in which we pass up since we think its for something else but no, its for the museum. The line was the 4pm group. It was cold so standing outside wasnt ideal but I can see why the line is outside; the inside would be way too crowded. Also, the streets are packed so trying to walk across to enter the museum was a challenge. While standing outside the staff checks vaccination cards, ID and tickets. They also go over the rules; masks must be on if youre not eating ice cream or taking pictures. Social distancing is a must as well. When I visited before the pandemic, the museum was not self guided as there was staff in each room. Now, the tour is self guided so they let you enter in groups to avoid crowding which I like.Upon walking in, you walk straight to the back where you fill out your ice cream name tag. From there, you enter your first room where youre given ice cream. You get the gist of the rest of the museum. We were given an ice cream cone, popsicle, a cup of ice cream and I think macaroons? Some areas of the museum were really crowded. Some of my frustration occurred with making sure my mask was put back on after every picture, holding on to bags and coats throughout the entire exhibit, and not being able to take some pictures without people in the background. I wish there were lockers or something to put our things in as it became very hot trying to take pictures with a heavy coat. At certain parts of the museum there was a stop. Like the slide part, we did not want to take the slide but the line to get to at least the elevator was long. The area with the swings was a mad house with kids; especially the sprinkle pool. We didnt even go in it, it was so crowded. We finished the museum in an hour. I thought it would be longer but because of the overcrowding we skipped a lot of photo opportunities.I love how they have a bar area where you can order milkshakes, drinks and more.Would I visit again? Most likely if they have a new exhibit but I will definitely visit on a night where kids are not allowed.
It eas not what I expected from a place called a museum. Very little to with the history of ice cream at all besides a small timeline in the beginning of the so called museum. I guess I expected more history maybe some older ice cream making apparatuses, and stuff being that Im not an ice cream expert not sure what to expect, but what we got a large playroom free for playground for kids.
Very fun place! There was about 13 interactive rooms and about 4 chances to try different ice-cream samples. It was many different colors where you can take a cute instagramable photo or 20 🤭. Feel free take you kids and have them run amuck because it is a nice family friendly environment. You can even purchase a drink or a milkshake if you want to sip while walking. The theme in the photos was Pinkmas but I believe they will change it up on January 10th. This was well worth the visit! See you next time MOIC.
Such fun! This place is definitely a place that you would want to visit you feel like a kid again! Every room in this place had something fun to do, many places to take some amazing photos, and many different ice cream flavors to try. (They even had a frosted animal cracker flavor 😋)Also this place is definitely a place you would love to take your kids. They would for sure have an amazing time! Also, the staff are so kind and amazing and really make you feel welcome.Highly recommend visiting the next time youre in New York. 😁
The last thing you will learn about is the history of ice cream, so this isn’t truly a museum. This interactive fun zone is a low budget ice cream taster, which is overpriced at $40 a person. I certainly do not recommend for smaller children since they will not eat enough and can play at a park park versus here. There are some great photo ops, but should have a different name/theme.
It was fun! It has really great photo ops! So come dressed to take as many cute pictures as you can. Its really great for all ages. It feels like a maze and even has a indoor playground for kids. I wish they had more toppings and ice cream flavors! Other than that it was great!
Very expensive for what is being offered. At the beginning it was said we will have to try 10 flavours, but by the time we got to the end, only 8 were offered.Except for the lady at the beginning, that gives you the intro, the rest were the most bored to death people I have ever met.50$ per person for what we experienced is out of this world overpriced. Doesnt deserve more than 10$ at best.
We went for the Valentine’s Day experience and had so much fun !!! The ice cream was absolutely delicious and the interactive exhibits were a lot of fun ! I didn’t get to do the slide this time.. mommy to be .. but my boyfriend loved it! We felt like big kids ! We will be back!
Lovely place for kids and adults. If youre going without kids, go after 6:30 pm, they received us with cocktails. Its a whole experience, and I recommend to take your time on each room/floor since you wont be able to back track.Ice cream is given on different stations, and you can ask for as much as your heart desires. We found different types of sweets and treats, from soft served to real ice cream to fruit pops and cream puffs desserts. I imagine they change up the flavors (especially the ice cream). Many rooms (social media ops all around) and my favorite was the sprinkle pool which looks like... Well, youll see.Pace yourself; everything is fun and really yummy.
This experience was so much fun for us adults! My boyfriend thought it would be very childish but it was just enough fun for us. They even served cocktails ☺️ We moved from room to room and each room had either ice cream or a popsicle. Each room also had interactive fun that’s perfect for pictures. At the very end, there is a slide and going down was so much fun 🤩 The last ice cream server was sooooo rude. She had a nasty attitude and it just didn’t fit with the personality of the other servers.
Very expensive but very fun. The ticket price wasn’t so bad but the fees were about 2/3 the price of the ticket. The all you can eat ice cream was fun. Very tasty flavors. The chocolate soft serve was very creamy and delicious. The lemon sorbet was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. It was very packed but I loved that there were word finds, coloring, and paper crafts!
Worth the ticket price! Got 4 ice cream cones, a shot, and a popsicle included, which was the big mystery before. Lots of interactive photo ops and fun. If anything - wish there was a bit more about the process of how ice cream is made. Everyone who worked there went above and beyond to be kind, friendly, and smiley.
Absolutely worth every penny spent. Took my daughter and we had a blast. The samples were perfect single scoops so you didn’t feel stuck in a room trying to eat it fast so you didn’t miss out. So much fun and colorful things to see and do! The sprinkle pool was a favorite. So glad we got to experience it!
Really worth a visit, for adults and children alike. Its a unique experience that cannot be described and has to be experienced. The ice cream flavours served are unique. The magnetic walls, squid game like corridors, sprinkle pool, trampoline, swings are all there to make you feel alive even as an adult. You will need about 2 hours to experience the place. The hosts inside are full of joy and help add to the experience
This is definitely a multisensory experience! The museum in the title threw me off. Its more of an interactive art exhibit. You get a few ice cream samples throughout the tour. A shame that they served the same flavors in the last 2 stations. Giving it 3 stars cause its just not my thing. Get a good night sleep before coming since youre definitely in for a ride (some trippy wallpaper that seemed to move!). Definitely bring your kids here theyll love it!
This place was fun for my daughter, shes 11 and she thought it was beautiful. But the price is CRAZY and definitely NOT worth it, I would never go again and I wouldnt recommend anyone else either. Most of the rooms you walk through are just colorful rooms, nothing special. The pool at the end with the sprinkle was great and also the slide was fun. But the price and the free ice cream they offer?!? 5 different ice creams and sorbets, that was it, and not even scoops just small tests. They did not offer any normal ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, nougat etc.) so we only tasted the first ice cream offer (the rest were too weird sorbets), and in the end we had to pay additional almost $9 for chocolate ice cream. Seriously, you dont even give a kid an ice cream with the extremely high entrance price, when you promise all the ice cream one can eat but then only offered non-child-friendly ice cream during the whole tour... great. Giving the kid one scoop of regular ice cream had been a nice touch and something you could consider in the future. I felt like it was a rip-off when I had already paid $100 for the entrance and then still had to pay for two scoops of ice cream to the kid, because they didnt think of offering normal ice cream as well.
This was a fun experience. As soon as you walk in, the staff are all bubbly and fun and energetic. They knew a lot about their job so they made that experience fun. You walk to the back and theres a wall with the ice cream history. You then walk to the back end of the hallway to a room where theres soft serve ice cream of different flavors for free and a bar that serves alcoholic beverages. You walk up the stairs to fun lights and through some beautiful displays. This is a self guided tour so you move at your own pace. Through out the tour, you have a chance to have more ice cream and treats. Its a great place to take photos and go down the slide. Its overall fun for the gram.
The MOIC is a special place for even adults to become kids again! Timed entry made me feel safe along the journey! There were 5 stations for great samples of ice cream. We were tapped out by sample number 4. If you want MORE ice cream then opt for the add-ons, however, there is PLENTY along the way. I loved the slide as well! Oh, if you enjoy selfies… this is an amazing place to take selfies until your heart’s content!
Definitely a fun experience, especially with kids. However some of the rooms are not very well kept (like the disco room that doesnt work), or the peep hole camera, or the piano keys walls that use to play... I also hoped it would be a little more educational and actually tell us a little about how ice cream is made, whats the difference between sorbet / gelato / ice cream or maybe talk about the history of ice cream, cultural significance, etc. This is supposed to be a museum after all...
I purchased tickets in 2020 but we couldn’t go and a year later I emailed them to see if the tickers were still valid, they re-scheduled our tickets. My son turned 2 years old and we decided to take him on a weekday! It was the best experience he had such a blast. The staff were so nice and accommodating.
I did not expect this! Not your traditional “museum”. Very interactive, an “influencer’s” selfie photos dream spot, and the ice cream is plentiful. I was most impressed with the helpful and playful staff. The nine year old was smitten, as was the 65 year old grandmother. Go. You’re welcome.
I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this experience . This was a 10/10 museum and has been one of the most memorable moments of my life . What I loved was that each room was very interactive. Furthermore, staff was extremely friendly and genuine . The unlimited ice-cream was simply a bonus. I will return with more of my family men to enjoy this experience once again . ❤️
The Museum of Ice Cream is truly fun for ALL ages!! Let the kid in you burst with joy as you explore every room this venue has to offer. Upon entry they offered everyone a vanilla ice cream cone and everyone 21+ a free sangria. We also selected the special package of tickets where we received strawberry mojitos and gear (hat, keychain, 3 face masks). Every person is sure to find their favorite room/rooms whilst exploring this magical and interactive exhibit. My personal favorites were the subway room and the rainbow tunnel. They also are home to the largest slide in NYC (which is loads of fun) that everyone gets to slide once. I will definitely be returning for more fun here in the future. Its excellent for birthday parties!!
This was an incredible experience, we had so much fun, we felt like kids again, I strongly recommend visit this museum, each station is a perfect place for pictures, plus you get free ice cream samples, take your time to snap your best photo on each section, the ice cream was really good, I would definitely come back, its so worth it
Very fun! We enjoyed our experience here. Everyone was super friendly and kind, and made it a fun experience. Be prepared to eat lots of ice cream! And take lots of pics! This museum is adorable, and anyone at any age will enjoy. Sprinkle ball pit was a blast. It wasnt the cleanest, (strands of hair everywhere) but it was a busy Saturday so thats probably why. It can get a little annoying at times because some visitors hog up the exhibits with lengthy photoshoot sessions, so be sure to bring your patience. Wear comfortable clothing, and definitely ride the slide!
So much fun!!! Self guided tour. Of course, the best part is the ice cream you get along the way... but the 2nd best is the slide!!! An elevator is available, as well. Please consider adding magnets to merch selection. We went during the week, but we did book online as is required now.
Me and my family had so much fun at the ice cream Museum. Everything is so colorful and fun they have PINK vanilla yes Pink. Each room was like a new experience. And you know there were tons of pic opportunities, such as the sprinkle pit ahhhh so fun. I went with my mom and my sister to New York for my birthday and my favorite part of the trip is the Ice cream museum. It really is just such a aesthetic and fun place that I think everyone would like if they gave it a chance. So please go there if you live in New York or next time your there you won’t regret it!
Sooo, not so much a museum, but, there was ice cream. Its basically a walking tour of some well designed, fun colored rooms. Lots of places for pix and selfies, but for $45 per ticket Im not exactly sure why anyone would return.Dont get me wrong, its not that it isnt interesting, its just there doesnt seem to be a purpose, and there really isnt anything that interesting about the ice cream. Its good, but fairly middle of the road on texture and flavour. If youre interested in ice cream, go spend that $45 on a really good few pints. If you want to have some ice cream and and take pictures in some strangely interesting rooms, this could be the place for you.
Kind of an okay experience. The only had seven or eight flavors, two of which were sorbet and soft serve. The slide was fun, but most of the other activities didnt keep my kids attention for long. The sprinkles pool was great, until older kids came and started doing flips and jumping off the slide. Not much ice cream history or actual ice cream.
Not exactly what I thought it was. It was just a walk through picture-ready rooms - 2 or three stations with ice cream and you’re out. Each station has 2 types of ice cream… the flavors weren’t that interesting. I think the most interesting flavor was pineapple.I had fun because I was with family and they are fun but I don’t recommend paying that much to take pictures and eat 5 scoops of ice cream.
This is for sure a fun place to go with kids. They would for sure thank you and be happy for the rest of the day.But me as an adult without kids really enjoyed this place too.The staff was outstanding. 🧡💛💚💙💜Really I would be honest with this I think it’s because of the staff I think I liked the place..! It was really well worth my time spent their. It’s almost $50 but it was ok for me to spend just to spend some walking around the building and taking some pictures.❤️✅❤️This place needed mask but you could for sure take off mask for pictures.I would for sure recommend this place for parents with kids. ✅ 👩👦👦👨👦👦👨👧👩👧👨👦👨👨👦👩👩👦👨👦👦👨👨👧👧✅There are for sure some free ice Creams 🍨didn’t try them but felt like paid $50 for some free stuff 🤣.
This place is a Gen Z heaven! Tons of instagram photo opportunities, a multi floor twisty slide and a (very shallow) pool filled with plastic sprinkles. Plus, of course, plenty of ice cream. A special note that this isn’t ordinary ice cream. The flavors are unique and VERY good. My favorites were the Cookie Monster and Unicorn flavors. My 10 year old and 14 year old had an absolute blast. That being said, this isn’t a museum in a traditional sense. No history or artifacts. A few fun facts written on the wall here and there, but the museum aspect is sorely lacking. Some of the rooms are absolutely epic (like the ice cream subway) while others are a bit lacking. We all wished the sprinkle pool was deeper, as it’s maybe 1 foot deep. Overall, we all had a good time, ate some delicious ice cream, and took fabulous photos. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have kids or teens.
Loved the place. Free masks, antibacterial gels all around a non d head lights, offered at the entrance. The bathroom were clean and convenient for families. All rules were explained before starting. Alot of rooms for pictures. Free ice cream was offered several times. Family oriented
Must see!!! They need more locations!!Definitely get your ticket in an advance. We got ours using the GoCityPass(totally worth it!) About 5 station for ice cream. The set up is neat and clean and I love how they make you finish your food before you move.Perfect for kids! They have a slide that goes from top floor to the bottom and it is pretty cool. The room full of sprinklings is the best! Overall great experience for anyone!
Great experience. This is a visit for all ages. The experience is fun & you get to eat a bunch of ice cream throughout the tour, choose your own ice cream name, go into a pool of sprinkles and go down a big slide. The downsides are that the tickets along with taxes and fees make it expensive. (There’s a difference in pricing for the day time and night time experience - (the night experience is more)) . There’s hardly any parking in the area. & there’s a bit of a wait before getting in, (they only let 10-15 people in at time). However, again, a wonderful experience for all ages. Would recommend!
The experience was underwhelming for the price. Charged $25 extra in taxes and fees for 2 tickets. Information about ice cream was in small plaques on the wall and not that interesting or correct. Decorations looked cheap and were all a bit worn. Definitely not a place of interest unless you want Instagram photos, which won’t even be that great outside of select rooms. Ice cream was fine and the staff were all very friendly though.
WoWzers!! Helluva an experience here. Lots o fun, lots to do, fun employee interactions,😂 cool side spots to stop at, fun courses to do, games and such.. tasty ice cream served multiple times throughout place..😲👍😎 My kid enjoyed everything to see & do here. She was so happy that we made it..💪 plus the many bazillion photos she and the wife took..Selfie time😋
I accidentally bought tickets for the day before and after struggling to find a phone number (they dont seem to have one) I emailed and the lady that helped me was super helpful and rescheduled us for day of. As for the museum itself its pretty lacking especially for the price. Prepare to wait half an hour outside past your scheduled time to then wait inside too. Its dirty, theres not much to interact with. The ice cream flavors are one scoop of vanilla or vegan vanilla on the first stop. Then its a choice of a small cherry popsicle or mango. Then its one scoop of sprinkle vanilla, cheesecake or sorbet then its a slide that leads you into a dark room where the ice cream is hidden in the back. Everybody walked by that stop because the station is so hidden in the back that nobody knew it was there and it was plain ice cream again. Then the cookie monster which is supposed to be a combination of all cookie ice creams but it tasted plain. Then a dirty room with swings and barely anything to interact with then its the sprinkle pool which was okay then its done. $125 for two tickets just to wait outside in the cold, not much to interact with, plain ice cream, and dirty rooms. You can eat as much ice cream as you want though. There wasnt much to do so we just kept moving to the next room so we got filled up fast but if you want to make it worth the money then take your time eating and take advantage of the as much as you can eat policy otherwise its a waste. Would not recommend or do again. Go to the Color Factory over thisEdit: this was the nighttime experience which is supposed to have more. If thats more than the day time I couldnt imagine actually wasting money going to the day time one either
Great NYC attraction. My daughter and I had so much fun, the staff was excellent, pleasant, had exceptional level of patience. All of the art installations were fun. All of the flavors of ice cream were delicious. Very happy that this attraction is now in New York. I am definitely going to return for thr night time tour!
Yeah, its an Instagram trap. But you know what? Its also really fun. I came with my 4 year-old niece and she had a total blast, from the various pit stops of (included/free) ice cream and eclairs, to the swimming pool of sprinkles and the mini golf and the swings. It was just a genuinely fun (and yes, aesthetically grammable) time.Tickets are definitely steep. $40 per person, even for kids over the age of 2 (if youre a student it goes down to $37). It took about 1-1.5 hours to go through the exhibit, with a slow-walking / easily-distracted child.
Its fun and happy and Im glad we went. I loved the slide, which was faster than expected! I have two beefs with the place. One is that its not a museum -- the name is misleading. There are some factoids about ice cream sprinkled throughout, but overall it cannot be categorized as an experience that has an educational focus. Another is the quality of the ice cream that is served. Its decent, but not outstanding. If youre looking for a wow ice cream treat, this isnt the place. I appreciate the thought that went into our physical experience: the ice cream is served in smaller and smaller sizes as you go (I couldnt even finish those), and you round out the experience with some light athletic activity.
I thought the place was fun, but honestly with covid restrictions in place (at least I hope its that) it was less fun than it could have been. Every stop was either soft serve or coffee ice cream. The ice cream bar in the front was closed. Etc. Despite this, my family and I had a good time and I have some really great pictures from the experience.
(5/8/21...my visit) Besides the door man when first entering in, and the lady at the counter near the letter room.... My experience was so awesome. Staff was so energized and hilarious...a mood booster.I and my crew had so much fun. My favorite room was the slide that goes all the way down to the c level, sprinkler room, and the room with the swings, ice cream bowl, etc, and the butterfly chair room. Id recommend this spot to everyone I know. Fun place to revisit.Thank you for the experience.
Museum was nicely decorated. My children enjoyed it. However would benefit with an extra spice of activities, games and interactive fun, hosted by the staff. In addition, would’ve been nice for the ice cream to have more flavors, sundaes, more desserts and even offer tea time.
My husband and I had a blast here as part of his bday festivities. We were able to enjoy ourselves kids free and be kids ourselves. We went late and there were few people there, which I enjoyed. Definitely worth it. Staff was very friendly and energetic I purchased drinks with the tickets so we received those before exhibiting the museum and it was great.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Got discounted tickets through a third party site so cant complain about pricing. The time I went it wasnt too crowded however I can see how it could get crowded. There are only 6 exhibits and on a busy date it could get complicated. I had a great experience tho so my review stands.
This attraction would be better named “The Ice Cream Experience.” There was no meaningful discussion of ice cream, its history, how it’s made, etc— doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fun experience, just a missed opportunity IMO. Also wasn’t super impressed with the ice cream offered, which included a choice of two soft serve flavors, a choice of two scoopable flavors, a sorbet and choice of sherbet. For an attraction focused on ice cream there wasn’t that much ice cream! My 5 year old had fun, and its definitely a photo-friendly place, but I’m not sure its worth the cost IMO.
Ice cream museum was greatThe staff is amazing! Upbeat amd super friendly! The museum is very nice kids my sons age (1 1/2 yrs old) def have a great time and can participate in the museum walkI gave it 4 stars because i thought they show us the process of how to make ice cream or something Along thoes linesHowever the ice cream museum did not disappoint 🤗 oh and yes lots of ice cream samples!
When u go in theres a guy that greets u at the door and hypes u up and gets u all excited!! You gotta make up your own ice cream name. Theres ice cream in every room u walk into. And guess what? Its FREE!!!😯 Theres different rooms to explore. Like a tea party room, play room, music room, glowing light up rooms, disco ball room, city train room, bee room, huge fake sprinkle pool room and at the end of the tour theres a huge slide to go down but if u dont wanna go theres also a elevator lol 🤭 and theres a melting ice cream Restaurant!! If I loved it... I promise u will too!💕
The place is lovely! My daughter and her friend loved it. More like a playground than Museum. Booking is misleading, it is online only and they charge you ridiculous fee of $19, so real ticket price is $48 per person and not $36 (if you book for 2 people). Just to let you know before you get too excited. But they give you tons of ice cream for that :)
A must visit in NYC! we visited for my 25th birthday and We had a great time! Everyone was super friendly from the start & made sure to make me feel special specially Kit Kat and Avocado. We went on a Friday night and practically had the place to ourselves.. a lot of the team members also even offered to take our pictures! I loved all of the ice cream flavors they give you to try, specially the one with baileys.. the best part is that everything is included with your ticket. definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun night with friends or even for a date night!
At first, the cost of admission made us a bit weary, but by the end we are so glad we splurged on going to MOIC!! The staff was amazing & polite!! The ice cream servings were plentiful and tasty!! My only wish is that more staff were available in the rooms to help guide folks along so people didnt monopolize the activity.
It was a great experience and some of the workers were very nice. I would recommend a more actual icecream experience to the company itself because for $49 per person, they were relatively little and not all the workers at the stations were willing to fulfill the endless servings idea they want to convey. Its very beautiful do not get me wrong, but Id believe it better if they added a few things.
The Museum of Ice Cream NYC was…just okay. Nothing too exciting about this place besides their delicious milkshakes and ice cream. If we visited again we would only visit for the ice cream. The “museum” itself wasn’t very exciting and we certainly didn’t learn anything about ice cream while there. Maybe for a kids birthday party the “museum” part would be fun because of the sorta fun activities in some of the rooms.
Great experience. I took 7, 9, and 10 year old kids and they had a great time. There is a playground area with swings and games like ping pong and a 3 story slide that was very entertaining for them (and me!). You receive 2 samples of ice cream. Theres some adjustments due to covid like you cant dive into the sprinkles pool or eat your ice cream samples indoors so keep that in mind if you are visiting on a cold day. It took us about 1.5 hours to see and play with everything.
What a sweet experience. The staff is really good with people and funny. Very Instagram worthy if you like taking pics. I would highly recommend this museum if you have kids that get stimulated visually or that are hyper sensorial. The high contrast colors keep them amused and the games a pretty nice for them.
Loved, loved, loved this place: my girlfriend and I took our daughters(4&6 years) there and all had a great time. No matter your age, this is a great way to pass your Sunday afternoon. I legitimately felt like a kid again. Highly recommend. It helps too that we were fed delicious ice cream😋
Such a cool little place. Everyone that works at MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM was very helpful and also taught us tips on taking pictures with your iPhone which made the cost worth it. There isnt any cool experience other than taking cool pictures for your social media platforms if you want the truth but defiantly got some good pictures!!!
I didnt feel like it was worth the $43. Maybe around $20 something. The amount of ice cream they gave us was small, the sprinkle pool are for kids & the slide they have inside you can only go on once. For an ince cream museum there wasnt any ice cream really. I had high expectations on ice cream & they did not live up that. Thats why I put it wasnt worth the $43.
First, its a not a museum. It seems designed to be a photo-op for instagram or other social media sites - bright colored rooms, lots of staging for photos, etc. The staff were super nice and friendly. There is free ice cream, but given the ticket prices and service fee for buying online its not free. No real substance to this place but young kids will love it.
I had a really good time here, all the staff are really welcoming and lots of fun. I felt engaged even when I was queuing outside owing to the fantastic staff.Once inside again the staff really make this experience, you do not feel pressured at all to progress to the next section and they ensure you have fun all the way through. The ice creams on offer are really interesting and there are many photo opportunities. But herein lies my reason for four instead of five stars....the experience tries to appease both Instagrammers and young children at the same time.Which leads to quite a strange combination of very young children and adults, I can fully understand why the business would try to do this but going from beautifully decorated sets/photo locations to a playground was quite bizarre.Overall, would I recommend this to someone visiting New York? Absolutely
Overall really good for the price. really difficult to take pictures though because it’s very crowded and masks are mandatory. the ice creams were okay, some of them didn’t have a lot of flavor. also not that many flavor options, but they had vegan options wich is great.
A super psychedelic attraction. Fun, well-done, and clean. Big unicorns and rainbows energy and multiple ice cream breaks throughout made it a nice refuge from the stifling heat outside. The subway room was probably my favorite because it had lots of cute little Easter eggs in it.My only complaint while we were there was some of the other guests, and thats not really the museums fault. I get that its out of this world and all the exhibits just beg for selfies and pictures with friends, but several people in and around our group were hamming it up and acting like they were the only people in existence, being rude. Not a good look. So remember you can take your time and while you cant go backwards, you can wait out those people and let them move on to the next room.
I would like to rate it 2.5 because I had both positive and negative experience.Positive - flexible with slot timings, few friendly staff and average creativity.Negative - poor ventilation, no air condition in few places, certain staff were rude, certain places are dirty and not dusted, bad quality ice creams and no macaronis served.
First I just wanted to say that I would’ve love to put a five star want to start by saying that the staff everyone there was so friendly and helpful amazing whatever they doing to doing it Ray always greeted us with a smile and laughter everyone there is just amazing. The problem that I have is the lack of ice cream I mean it would’ve been nice if they would’ve Provided more options And creativity when it comes to giving your client the satisfaction of indulging ice cream. Do not get me wrong they deserve ice cream and of course alcohol for the adults. Even though it’s wrong was amazing for the price Tag is a little too much. Besides that the greatest highlight of this place is the staff keep up the good work and I hope you each and everyone are getting paid Fair if not more you deserve it.
Check my vlog at ABoricuaLifeinUSA in youtube and Instagram. Excellent place for all ages. Be ready for ice cream overdose. Self guided tour multilevel of fun.it takes about 1 hour to finish all. All kinds of ice cream. Staff was friendly and courteous. Price is about 50$. A bit hefty but worth it. Reccomend it.
This experience is a complete waste of money. First, there is nothing “museum” about this place. It’s set-up as a indoor multi-room playground for toddlers. Barely anything for anyone to do, read or see. Second, the ice cream is cheap and doesn’t taste good. Even my kids threw it out. Ultimately, this is just a gimmick and I WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone.
TLDR: Dont waste your money and time. Its a tourist trap!Firs, you need to stay in a huge outside line not matter what time your tickets says. If you have kids under 8, they might might enjoy. As an adult, trust me, you wont. I dont think its worth almost $50 to get a few ice creams and no history about it at all. A few cards on the wall with curiosities and thats it. Why dont you have an ice cream representing the biggest one ever served, the most expensive one, different ways to make it, why not show how the same ice cream tastes in different temperatures to explain why it should be served at a specific temperature. Its supposed to be a museum and I am pretty sure people didnt learn anything there. Its just a trap to get your money. Since my first minute inside, I was just hoping to end as soon as possible. All rooms had zero context and was meant for instagram posts (bad ones).
Super fun, for kids and adults alike. They take Covid very seriously, so it was well controlled. Each of the 13 rooms are a different sensory experience. I wish I thought of this! Great family experience for a couple of hours while visiting NYC! Thank you Tiktok for the tip!
This was a super sweet place to check out. My daughter and I enjoyed everything all the cool rooms were bright and fun! Eventhough were both adults we let our inner child explore and have a great time. All of the employees were hilarious and friendly. And we got ice cream for breakfast 😋 not once but twice!!! Our favorite part was the slide of course, and the free ice cream🍦🍨YUUUUM!!!!!A must visit anytime we visit Soho New York 🤗😍
Tbh I went to this place because I had a gift card to go. If it wasn’t for the gift card I would be so mad to pay for what you get. Honestly, the ice cream it’s not even that good. For this been the “Museum of ice cream”, there’s nothing appealing here for a museum. I wish they could tell you how the ice cream is made, take you in a history timeline in each room, the ice cream they are giving should be a different one from every country and you could compare between all of them or put something more fun in the doors, not just a picture of chocolate. At least make it more Interesting! So yes. Only for cute pictures.
I heard from one person that the museum of ice cream was a little light on the ice cream so I went in with a slightly jaded view. Sure it is beautiful, but is it also a museum and filled with ice cream? Turns out that person was very wrong. Lots of fun facts along the way and ways to make the experience interactive and interesting for kids of all ages. And unlimited ice cream of lots of flavors along the tour. I just wish they sold lactaid
Highly disappointed! I flew in from 700 miles away just to come here just to be told that for one you have to purchase tickets before hand which wasn’t a problem, I proceeded to pay for the tickets while at the door. After paying and presenting the tickets I was asked for a vaccination card. I told them there website didn’t disclose that information and I was told that it’s a NY mandate. (I’m not from NY) So I asked for a refund and was told they don’t do refunds. What a waste!! I would most definitely NOT recommend this place to my family and friends!
It was two adults and we paid over $95. Tex is expensive. The place is such a good and wonderful. But It would be even better if I could enter the souvenir shop in front of the entrance without buying a ticket. I want to go back to the souvenir shop and buy some stuffs, but I cant because I have to purchase a ticket again to be able to enter..🫠
I would love to give 5 star if it is was more attractions… this is about the ice cream.. shouldn’t you guys have more variety of the ice cream? Like literally every different flavors of the ice cream. Overall design was good but somewhat it is over too much but boring much too because they didn’t had any every other flavors
Waited online outside for about an hour despite having timed tickets. Also had to wait in line inside for most exhibits. Went on a Saturday though...I suggest going during the week if you dont want to wait. You get about 4 free ice cream samples (well, the last one is a really hard munchkin in a cup with whipped cream). Good place to take pictures though.
This is not even a museum. If you have some extra cash you can either throw it into fire or visit this place. If you want your kids to have some fun, send them to some play area. It is a bunch of painted rooms through which you will walk. They offer some ice creams. Not worth the money you spent.
A museum it is not in the traditional sense as there is very little to learn but it is what it is: a really fun place that is the perfect backdrop with unlimited ice cream. The staff is phenomenal and its a lot of fun (especially the slide) but it is expensive so Im not sure Id take out of town friends again but I dont think anyone would regret going, just maybe like oh, ok.

2022-07-01My rugrats and I had a great time at the museum. The perfect place to be on a very hot day. The girls enjoyed themselves and were over the moon about all of the free ice cream. The different activities in the museum were super fun and the best part is that its self tour so you can spend as much time as you want at each station. The girls favorite parts were the playroom, the sliding tube and the sprinkle pool. Now I have to buy tickets to bring them back next weekend because by the end of it they wanted to do it again. Highly recommend for parents and if you are a kid at heart.

2022-03-28Me and my daughter really enjoyed this museum. She’s 4 years old and we traveled from Pennsylvania to check it out!We were not disappointed at all! We ended up spending 2hrs and 33 minutes going through all the rooms and playing. They served us ice cream a handful of times throughout. At the end they served us vegan ice cream along with vegan chicken and waffles, which were delicious! My daughter enjoyed the swings, slide, playroom and the sprinkle pit! We definitely recommend it!

2022-04-07The staff was super nice and really excited, definitely got me pumped! There was unlimited ice cream allowed throughout the museum at different stations, there were lots of cool fun interactive rooms. I really enjoyed my time here, and I think they were really creative with each room having it’s own theme. A lot of the rooms have a really nice aesthetic for pictures, which we definitely took advantage of!One thing to note being coming, this may be obvious to some but wasn’t for me lol, this is definitely a big place for families and that means A LOT of children. Throughout the museum you can tell some parts are designed for them, but can still be fun for adults, like the colorful playground which is great for pictures. The only time it became too much was the “sprinkles ball pit” It was absolutely crowded with children, not a lot of room or space for adults. The “sprinkles” were hard plastic pieces so it wasn’t really fun to be in, different than the Color factory were the ball pit is more enjoyable, with softer plastic balls to jump in. This ball pit was not only crowded with way too many kids, but it smelled really really bad. I know they do their best to keep the smell down but I feel as if limiting the crowd would probably help too. There’s a slide, it’s a really cool concept but it was definitely extreme lol! If you’re not into it, there’s an elevator too :). If dairy isn’t your thing either, they have vegan options! The flavors aren’t very plentiful or the most popular/enjoyable, it really depends if coconut and fruity flavors are more in your taste pallet. The gift shop is definitely something to look at, we got really cute hats and pins there! All really colorful fun stuff, pricey but that’s the normal for museum gift shops. I would definitely recommend this place, just maybe on a less busy day :’)

2022-02-13Super fun experience! Lot’s of ice creams and photo opportunities, the lightning was sometimes not that great to take a cool picture, but nothing a little editing can’t fix.The people working there were really nice and helpful and they hyped us up before entering the museum!

2022-03-09Really fun experience! Lots of ice cream to eat also and cool visuals and photo ops. I love how all of the rooms were decorated with so much detail, colors, lights, effects etc.It is definitely worth checking out! I went with a few friends and my daughter and we all really liked it. There was also a slide and pool full of sprinkles to jump into at the end which was really cool also.

2022-01-25If you post on Instagram this place is a must visit! So much fun for all ages! You get so much ice cream with your visit too!! So worth every penny! All the ice cream was delicious and they had vegan options to top it all off! My friend and I met each other’s here for the first time and it was a fantastic way to break the ice! 2022-01-26OMG!!! After hearing so many great things about this place I had to try it out for myself. I invited my niece and her three children as well as my two grandsons.. the event was awesome!! The children enjoyed themselves so much one of my nephews kept repeating, today is the best day of my life! That alone made my heart melt like ice cream (•‿•) We all loved the free ice cream given out at the beginning of each new ice cream adventure. Im 50 y/o but the Museum of Ice Cream made me feel like a child once again with the Sprinkle Pool.... I jumped in and at times was pushed in by one of my grandsons (。♡‿♡。) I recommend people of ALL AGES to visit and bring the family, I PROMISE youll have an unforgettable, amazing time!!
