First and foremost I reserved the party hall for a little birthday together and any changes or request I had for the menu even last second they were able to handle with professional grace. They always made me feel like at home and I’ve personally eaten their 4 days in a row. The chicken 65 and lamb chops are hitting on another level. I promise the owners will make sure that you will not leave unhappy. Customer service is their first priority. All the food in general is nothing less then fresh. Nababi is a must try and I personally am going to be a regular from now on.
Had the lamb chops but was disappointed that only three were on the hot plate. Love that they paced onions and peppers On the bottom.Samosa chat was delicious with the warm chick peas as was chicken 65 appetizer. The rest of the food was very tasty and had the perfect seasoning.Service was great but I made the server blush. They also have lanterns on the tables for you to connect to listen to your own music. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.Thank you for your hospitality.
I ordered Lamb Chop, Kacchi Biriyani, Borhani, Chicken 65 and they were the best I’ve tasted in NYC. Seriously these guys got it right when it comes to halal kebab meals. Nice outside seating environment. Great music. Great people. very friendly. They have a party room where I look forward to booking my next party when things open up. 5 star. Try once.
Nababi was one of the best Bengali meals Ive ever had. I loved everything we ordered. The flavors were complex in each of the curries. The lamb was so tender. It was all WONDERFUL! They were also so nice on the phone when I placed my order. Im looking forward to going in person and eating outside. Welcome to the neighborhood, Nababi!
I highly recommend visiting Nababi restaurant. The food is very fresh and large portions. The owner is a very kind person and cares about customer service. They are a new restaurant and I recommend ordering from Nababi. My wife and I love Afghan food. Everyone that works in Nababi is very respectful and professional. Everything on menu is made fresh to order. Lamb chops are tasty.
My wife called the restaurant to check if they deliver and the owner told us no due to heavy snow and recommended us to use Grubhub. The owner was polite and courteous when my wife spoke to him. We never ordered from the restaurant before and didn’t know what the outcome was going to be. Let me start by saying it was DELICIOUS. The food came within 40 min and it was still very hot! The chicken vindaloo was by far the best I ever had and garlic naan was so fresh and tasteful. This is a hidden gem and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 5 star ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Restaurant and service. Oh yeah if you like spicy food this is the place for you!
I went there with my family for iftar. Was seated right away.good atmosphere. Solid food I mean hats off nice and fresh. Bit pricey but was definitely worth it. Ps one thing that can improve is the seating facility bit too tight for 5 or more people. But definitely worth trying.
We ordered chicken 65 biryani on the 27th of May and the chicken was anything but fresh. My husband and I had a hard time tearing the chicken pieces as they were so hard and chewy that one could totally tell that it was completely stale. The reviews on this restaurant are extremely misleading. I was unable to move on the next morning as I had so much gas accumulated under my rib cage and mind you we barely ate 5-6 spoonful of that biryani. My body froze and I was unable to do any work all day.Today, 29th May 2021, both my husband and I have extremely nasty gad and going to the restrooms over and over again. This place is as nasty as it can get. Do yourself s favour and never ever oder from this place. Save your BODY AND YOUR MONEY!!!
I ordered takeout of chicken kabob, chicken tikka masala, kala bhuna, goat vindaloo and garlic naan. Kala Bhuna was by far the best. But all the dishes were fresh and good quality. My family enjoyed it. I looked at the review after ordering the food and was a bit worried after the lengthy comment below about the food not being fresh, but good thing it wasn’t true for me. Will definitely order from here again.
Found them on ubereats and decided to give them a try since its a new place. Ordered chicken roast, fish kabab and gulab jamun. The chicken roast tasted like chicken tikka masala because they used the same sauce, the fish kabab and gulab jamun was just okay. I would recommend them to hire a better chef but I wish them all the best.UPDATE After the restaurants response: Im a Bangladeshi bhaiya, I understand you got confused by my Google account name but you have to learn how to properly respond to a customer. If you want to argue about your chicken roast recipe I have nothing more to say because we both know what Im talking about. As a fellow Bangladeshi Im wishing you all the best but Im disappointed with your response and food.BTW if you are the chef, Im sorry if I have hurt your feelings.
OMG!!!! THIS RESTAURANT IS SO AMAZING!!!!! FIRST OF ALL THE FOOD IS GREAT. I was giving up on Indian food when I found them. Now I ordered the wrong thing accidentally and called them after to see if they can give me what I really wanted, that I got the order wrong and they were so nice to tell me I should come pick up the tikka masala that I really wanted to order. They are also so polite!. Another time I ordered something and they didnt have it, they called to let us know, the lady was so polite, and she put in an extra plate of rice for us. I love Nababi. Great prices. Great Portions
Chicken Tikka comes with rice should mention in the uberEats menu.Very blend. You would have to eat it dry, suggestion please add white sauce.Beef kala Vuna is not kala buna its more like beef curry. It taste good.Bit expensive food is okay, just wanted to try. Hillside has better food compared to the price.
Awesome. Delicious. I went thereand bought goat biriani it was so so so tasty. I dont remember when i ate this kind of biriani last time. I recommend to deshi food lover people please go there and taste it. I think u guys would love their food. Location is alright and inside is beautiful.
Avoid, food was really bad and pretty gross. It was old, chewy and way too expensive. Their only objective is to sell more at ridiculously high prices. Not sure why there is so much love for this place. Service was also very average. Left feeling very disappointed. I would leave zero stars if I could.
I ordered the lamb tikka masala and goat Biryani. The lamb tikka masala with naan was phenomenal. I witnessed the three other restaurants that took place here before and they didn’t perform well. I see huge potential in Nababi. Some minor things could be improved though.1. Nobody in the store was wearing masks during this pandemic. This included the cashier/ waiter and the chefs in the kitchen.2. The waiter/cashier seemed unenthusiastic, as if she didn’t want to be working there. However, she packaged the food well and made sure I had everything before I left. I wasn’t unsatisfied but the customer service could be improved a tad bit.To summarize, the food is great, so I have no complains in that area. However, minor things could be improved.
One of the worst kachhi dam biriyani I had in my whole entire life..it was made with something yellow cz that’s looks completely yellow...and the beef bihari kabab was extremely salty ...mostly important make sure you have over 40 minutes to wait doesn’t matter what you are going to order you have to wait :)
They are very unprofessional and uncivilised they dont care about customer.but me and my family we thought they are very new in this sector.i ate in this restaurant but they are food price is so high.I tried their all branches they do the same thing.i hope they should respect the customer which is the customer deserve.

2022-03-21Wow what a disappointment! Food is super expensive and portion is extremely SMALL! This isnt even a fancy restaurant. Kacchi biryani was full of huge bones that took up the entire container. Chicken 65 was so spicy not sure why, this is the first time Ive had chicken 65 that was spicy and uneatable. Chicken tikka masala was good but that small portion for $13?, no thank you!We spent $57.26, and the restaurant gave us SPOILED salad, seriously? You are charging this much for food and you cant even give proper salad? I think ill stick to Sagar or other bengali restaurants on hillside which has way better pricing and portion is NORMAL size. So sad!

2022-05-17The food is always fresh which is a huge plus for me. I was surprised at how good everything was. Price is a bit more expensive than I’d like but for the quality I don’t mind.

2022-04-02The guy at the Register cannot remember any customer’s order. He had to confirm 3 customers orders repeatedly multiple times because he couldn’t remember. I stood 35 minutes for few somosa,a Halim and a Tea. Their halim sucks. Somosa was good. I told the register person to hurry up and my Tea is going to be cold by the time I get everything else. He asked, “Do you have a Microoven at home to warm up the tea?”.That was rude and out of line. When a customer is upset about the order taking too long you need to be nice to the customer. They need to speed up processing orders. Work on their customer service. Also work on their price.

2021-02-24Below are obviously my opinion based on my preferences but overall it was not too bad of an experience. I just wanted to try a lot of stuff on the menu to give this place a chance. I had spent over $50 and the only thing I will ever go back for is the moglai porota. The staffs/owner (not sure) was very helpful and friendly so 5/5 on their behavior even though one of them was super confused!Tehari (was their recommendation)Good: the rice and didnt taste kewra/rose water unlike in other Bengali restaurantsBad: unfresh & smelled the moment I opened the lid and the taste as well. So, it was really hard to continue to eat the whole thing. Meat is not fully cooked and its tough. Needs more flavor and very oily.Rate: 1/5Note for the Bengali chef and staff: adding Indian greeen peppers didnt help to add spice to the item. It was not cooked in and its visible that you had added that on the spot last minute because I asked for spicy. Next time, its okay to say that its premade and it cannot be changed.Green sauceGood: spicy and I mean real desi spice levelBad: too watery and overpowers other food when dipped/mixed in.Rate: 3/5Mughlai porotaGood: fresh, tasty, not oily, and stuffing had a good portion on the inside. The dough inside was cooked well.Bad: noneRate: 5/5RaitaGood: mixture of the veggiesBad: sweet and too thick that it has become like a coleslaw. I like to have it with biriyani but it needs much better flavor.Rate: 2/5Tamarind sauceGood: flavor, taste, and thickness levelBad: noneRate: 5/5Roshogolla (for a person whos not big on sweets at all)Good: spongy texture, taste, and sugar levelBad: noneRate: 5/5Non-Vegetable thaliGood: spicy (i asked for it)Bad: every curry tasted the SAME. Once again the meat was not fully cooked (except for chicken, so it was tough. I was suppose to get 4 different types of meat but I only received lamb, beef, chicken, and another beef.Rate for all the curries: 1/5Naan: 5/5Rice: 5/5

2020-10-02This spot is my new favorite place for Kachi. I havent had a kachi biriyani this good in New York. Their biriyani was very close to the flavor you get in biye bari kachi back home in Bangladesh + it comes with a delicious Borhani- little on the sweeter side. I like my Borhani not sweet and more spicier. ( personal preference) however their Borhani is quite good. Pairs well with the kachi! The service was impressive, ask for Farhana when you get there she is super attentive towards all your orders. 10 of us were there and she managed to take all the orders and bring them out on time. No mistakes !! All their dishes tasted great really good. I cant complain. They have an Indian menu and full Bangladeshi menu as well. You can get your Indian favorites- paneer masala, chicken tikka, mutton vindaloo ( highly recommend) tikka biriyani, shrimp biriyani and you can also get your Bangladeshi servings- Shahi chicken roast, kachi biriyani, morning breakfast items ( paratha, bhaji), mutton curry etc. They have a variety of kababs, ** make sure to try their lamb boti kabab** it was delicious!!!

2021-05-31I would give 3 stars for overall service.I ordered Butter chicken, mango lassi, lamb curry and Alu paratha. They forgot to give our mango lassi, anyway went back and picked up. There were no potato (Alu) in the Alu paratha. They gave us plain paratha I guess, however paid for Alu paratha.
