We need more spots like this in Brooklyn this is why I support gentrification.

This is a great place to sit and have a picnic, walk your dog, or just take in a few laps around the garden for some exercise. The flowers have bloomed for the summer and the colors and fragrance within are marvelous if youre paying attention. There are still areas that are closed off from the public, but hopefully with more volunteers they can reopen more of the scenic areas this year.
A lovely hidden spot on Brooklyn. I didnt know it existed but do glad that I came here. Its so beautiful and the views are lovely. Plenty of shade if you you want it but also plenty of space out in the Sun if you want that, too. Great for kids, pets, couples, and even a solo date.
The Narrows Botanical Garden is back and looking better than ever. I went during the early morning hours and saw several volunteers and gardeners working on the property. I saw all kinds of lovely roses, hydrangeas, lillies, daisies and other flower species that I cant name at the moment. They have done a fantastic job at bringing the garden back to life for locals, visitors and pollinators.
Delightful area between the harbor and the havoc of Bayridge. Stunning walking trails, seems to be pet friendly and there are dedicated neighbors taking care of the landscaping minus the mowing as the city is responsible but has done a lousy job. The grass is 2 foot high in many places...shame in you DiBlasio...open spaces should be maintained so that the community has areas to distance properly.
Real gem. Peaceful. Very scenic. Plants are in beautiful condition. Lots of families. Broken in to little section gardens. Great picnic location. Always a breeze. This is one of a couple of parks next to each other. There are softball and soccer fields nearby. A beautiful bike path all the way to the Verrazano Bridge is close by. Evening views are spectacular.
It’s a long very long along the highway and along the shore Parkway very beautiful place in the trees a little down shallow place for walk and hiking and some playing it’s not a plain place but still you can have fresh air you can have some jogging you can have some walk and you can park your car on shore Parkway and on the way back you can enjoy the shore Parkway right which is covered with a lot shady trees.
A beautifully well maintained area of Shire Road in , Brooklyn, Bayridge area to be exact. Excellent locale for just about anything you want to do nearby. Kite flying, softball, baseball, frisbees, bike riding, strolling, jogging,etc.. a true green gem in a city where greenery is a blessing.
To be fair, “Botanical Garden” may be a misnomer: this is an elaborate community garden built, designed, and staffed by neighborhood volunteers.A hop, skip and a jump from the ferry landing, it has one section blended into the nearby public park, and another gated section with a beautifully designed path winding across small, intimate ponds and a small hill.A quick, gorgeous little testament to community activism and heart. Watch out for the Turtle Crossing!
The Narrows Botanical Garden is part of Shore Road Park in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. has its own independent Conservancy for maintenance and beautification of this four-block area of the park. it is attractive and does have accessible entrances for wheelchairs. There seems to be a shortage of benches within the park and that would help Narrows Botanical Garden rate five stars. Especially beautiful spring and summer this area is this site for many activities from season to season. Also adjacent to the Bay Ridge Ferry and the Baywalk. Very nice area
I went here for a date to watch a movie with a girl. I thought it was an actual botanical gardens but it was just a park close to the water with the highway seperating the actual field from the water. Maybe because we stayed in the field where they showed the movie but wasnt all that

2022-03-01A very nice garden! Be careful not to harm any trees or plants, people will come up to you. A lot of people come by here to walk their dogs. Don’t suggest playing volleyball here because it can get lost on the highway

2022-06-15Great park to walk through. Keeping this real, this is a small park along a highway. It even has a small library cabinet to borrow books during your visits. So bring a blanket on your next visit and enjoy their book. Warning, this small park has no benches, nor trash cans.

2020-11-13Seeking peace? Looking for tranquility? Searching for enlightenment? The Narrows Botanical Gardens, a little piece of paradise located near the narrow waterway separating Brooklyn from Staten Island, comes replete with peaceful ponds, tranquil flower gardens, and even, if you’re lucky, the odd enlightened hippy. On the well kept grounds of this meditation retreat, the searcher for truth and inner peace, can do so in the company of unafraid squirrels, slow flowing waterfalls, and in the midst of buzzing bees from the nearby Air Bee & Be.Also of note, make sure to take the time to smell the Hybrid Roses while dancing barefoot in this wonderful park.

2017-08-06Great place to chill at. Maybe even sit on the lawn. Plenty of greenery for some shade if you wish. Only down side is the highway noise (allot at times), and its not a very large garden (if you wanted it to be big that is then I guess it being small is a negative). Upside: THOSE SUNSETS!!! Beautiful!Bonus: Just found out there are turtles here too.

2019-02-02Hidden little gem is a delight to walk through. I always see at least one person trending to the gardens. Plants are set up beautifully and each section has a plaque with info and the names of the plants. If you live in the area, you should be taking walks there. If youre visiting, this will make you fall in love with the neighborhood.
