Very pleased with my lunchtime visit. Office was very accommodating, dentist was great and experience was perfect. The dentist repaired a broken crown temporarily for the holidays and it really feels strong and I’m able to eat with confidence. Will be back for full check up and cleaning in a few weeks. I recommend this office. The staff was great!
This is the most irritating experience I have ever had with a dentist. Communication is horrible. I got to my appointment early as a new client expecting to do paperwork, but my appointment was canceled. I was lied to and told I was given a call when that never occurred.
Still waiting after multiple attempts to request for refund.. Had to go back to this office FOUR times to tighten a crown during this Covid 19 pandemic. I had multiple crowns completed by other dental practice and never had the issue. Each time I returned to this office, they were kind enough to arrange a different dentist to tighten the crown, but each and every time the crown became loose/un-usable after a few days. Because the insurance has already paid for the tooth, I had to pay out of pocket, $3600 for a new crown. The practice is completely silent after I called three times and emailed a few times with proof that I had to order a new crown...quite a nightmare. Never thought this would happen..
I had a very good experience receiving a free consultation at National Dental at 1485 East 77th Street. This included an evaluation with X-rays and CT Scan, which in an of itself is an excellent value. Other dentists will charge to take and review those images. The office staff are welcoming and the financial consultant, Michelle, who reviews your procedure is very knowledgeable regarding financial assistance and showing great interest and care for my particular case, as if I had known her personally for years. She was very kind and respectful, and patient with my numerous questions, emails and phone chats too. I can’t say enough. She is of great value to the office! Dr. Chason was thorough and practical about what could be done surgically. I was appreciative. In no way does this office try to “up-sell” you, in fact, they do just the opposite. They do their best to work with you to keep costs as low as possible without sacrificing your health. I recently went to a dentist that tried to up-sell me at every turn. So National Dental was a refreshing change.
Ugh what a scam! The service is very nice when setting up and going to your appointment, but I feel cheated. Went in for a routine cleaning and they told me I had to get fillings done ASAP. I said sure, but of course they told me I had to come back because they were fully booked. I was worried about the cost since it would be another visit but they assured me most of the time it is covered. When walking out, I had to pay $200+ because the filling they used was white (to match my teeth) and therefore usually more $$ it seems (they didnt ask me for options though). Few weeks later I get a mailed letter saying I owe ANOTHER $100+. I tried calling to pay via phone using my HSA/FSA card and went to VM twice.Dont go here unless youre made of money. They are so shady and nit transparent at all.
I had tooth pain and National Dental fit me in for an emergency visit. They were able to tell me the root of my pain. They set up an treatment plan to make sure I take better care of my teeth. The whole staff was awesome from the front desk to the Doctors. They also have a patient coordinator who walked me through the whole process!M. Strong
I went to National Dental for tooth removal. I believed they could help me replace the teeth. I had the teeth removed and went back about a week later for my regular cleaning. I have never had my teeth cleaned and not be able to rinse my mouth out. I was then pressured into applying for $9000.00 in credit and additional x rays. It was then I made the decision not to go back. It has been four months and I tried to get my Xrays only to be given the run around. Be careful of these people.
I have a very hectic schedule and found National Dental to be open on Saturday. That worked prefect for me. The office was very clean and Yanil at the from desk was very helpful. I seen Dr Omar, who addressed my pain immediately. He was able to get to the root of the problem. I then spoke with Michell, the patient educator. She was able to go over my insurance with me and my out of pocket expense. Wow! all this was done on a Saturday, My day off. I didnt have to use my PTO. I am scheduled to complete my dental work with Dr. Omar Nijem.
I am so thankful for the staff and Doctors at this place, Dr is beyond amazing, the entire staff goes above and beyond for every patient, my smile hasn’t been a smile for many years. I appreciate each of of you for giving me my smile back. They have great affordable payment plans !Best dentist in New York.
I was scrolling through Facebook and I came across National Dental. I came in for consultation, because I only had 3 teeth left on top. They treated me very nice with respect and they explained to me all the process thoroughly. I needed work, and National Dental helped me have my full set of upper teeth done and completed in only a few days. Im so happy I can smile again. Im very thankful especially for Joffry and Dr. Cho for helping me through the process. All the staff members are so great because they treated me like im family, not a patient. I come from upstate and travel 3 hours to the city for National dental and it is very worth it! I higly recommend National Dental
Dr. Jawhari was immensely knowledgeable and so friendly. Shes the greatest dentist Ive ever visited. She explains everything she plans to do and makes you feel very comfortable. Also, I love that she modifies her playlist according to what the patients like :) Ill be back to see her again and Ive recommended her to friends and family. Shes incredible!
I woke with unremitting pain on a week-end. I could not see my own doctor until at least tuesday. What to do. National dental was nearby, so I walked over to give them a try. I was pleased with my doctor who knew right away what needed to be be done. I am grateful for National Dented and would recommend them.
DO NOT recommended this place. The condition of my teeth got worse after I got work done here. A few of them have become extremely sensitive when I bite which has never happened to me before. I read a different review about this place that said this happened to them too and it turned out to be that the dentist removed too much enamel. I think that may have happened to me as well. Look else where if you need dental work.
I saw Dr. From today. The hygienist and x ray technician were both great and professional, however I made the appointment because I have been struggling with pain stemming from the upper right side of my mouth for 7 months and never got it taken care of due to a previous referral going nowhere and being busy with work. The problem didnt show up on the x ray because its likely a small crack in the tooth. It is hard to me to tell exactly which tooth the pain is stemming from, as it feels like its between the teeth, maybe even two teeth. When it wasnt something that was super obvious and easy to fix, Dr. From got impatient and literally told me, youre going to have to figure this out. He said it was probably a crack but he couldnt see it, (he looked in my mouth with a mirror for about 4 seconds) and had me bite on a stick in a very rushed manner but didnt seem like he had any interest or time in diagnosing the problem. When he again said, you have to figure this out, I asked him directly how he wanted me to figure it out, wasnt he a dentist whose job it was to diagnose the problem? He replied that when he had a cracked tooth he could tell which tooth it was. He then sent me on my way with a bunch of nice guy talk like I could come back anytime. I had taken off work for this appointment which was a waste of my time, why would I return to him again? If your issue requires any extra care or time in diagnosing, I dont think this is the place to go.
Dr. Arthur is the dentist I meet with for cleanings. Him and his staff are always helpful, and takes the time to listen to any concerns one may have. Even if you dont voice any concern, theyll ask you at the end of the appointment if you have any questions. Very caring.
Been going here for years. I used to live around the corner on E78th St. I have moved up to East Harlem 2 years ago, and did not even look for a new Dentist Office. They are friendly and efficient and Dr Omar, who was new to me was great. Kind, friendly, knowledgeable. Doesn’t hurt he is easy on the eyes.
Let me begin by saying that the actual professional dentists, technicians, and back office are fine. However, the front office is the most disorganized, dysfunctional one Ive ever known. There are multiple women, none of whom seem to know what is going on. They also are all out of touch with each other. All of them deal with you at the same time will ask you the same question multiple times. Apparently they dont know that the initial paper work can be filled out online, even though they send you the portal. They are not discreet about their distaste for each other, which doesnt concern me, but it is annoying to answer the same question 3-4 times. The had issues with initial paperwork, finding your appointment, billing, everything. Dealing with them isnt worth going here.
Dr. From from National Dental on the upper east side is a wonderful dentist. He was very attentive and let me know what was going on during the entire procedure which relieved all my stress. He was funny and personable and very patient with me. He made me feel very comfortable. Dr. From is the best!
Bad, bad, oh so bad! I went there for a free consultation as I need an implant and was getting the second opinion.Their x-ray technician is the worst. She took a panoramic x-ray of my mouth although I told her I was there for a specific tooth problem. I went along with a panoramic x-ray. Then she put me in a chair and started taking more x-rays. I was like Im here for a specific tooth, I dont want to take x-rays of other teeth. She mumbled back We can check all other teeth even if you dont want to. Her English is not that great, by the way. And its not like the level of her English has a direct correlation with her professionalism but at times I felt like she had a hard time communicating with me. What really got to me is that when she took 2 x-rays of the same area and was about to do the 3rd one (mind you, she already had taken a panoramic view of my mouth). Thats when I asked to speak to a doctor. She got very upset, said the doctor would not be able to see the problem with the tooth in already taken x-rays. However, she stopped x-raying me like theres no tomorrow. Then some friendly guy introduces himself to me. I let him on my tooth problem. He discusses a treatment plan with me and leaves. A few minutes later a woman in scrubs approaches. Introduces herself as a doctor. Hmm, then who was that other guy? Oh, hes just a manager here. Then why on Earth he would be discussing a treatment plan with me?Lastly, it is an open floor style office where you can hear discussions with other patients. However, on top of that, the technicians, doctors, hygienists share the same computer monitor between two chairs. So I could see my neighbors x-rays and he could see mine and I was not comfortable with that. For the prices they put in my treatment plan, they can afford separate monitors to give the patients at least some basic privacy.
Happy with Dr. Isabel. She was thorough, explained options, and even checked if my insurance would cover the procedure before going through the procedure. Thats helpful because you dont want to be oversold and find a big bill later. The office is clean, neat, and staff is kind & attentive.
I have always been timid to go to the untilI found national dental. I went In for a routine cleaning which went perfect and luckily they saw that I was grinding my teeth. I then met with Dr.Joffry and Pia for a consult to get Invisalign. They were extremely caring and thorough. I can finally say I don’t mind going to the dental office thanks to them.
Reception is nice (though occasionally disorganized w/scheduling). Quite pricey (even with insurance), given the open, economical, layout (you can hear other patients and dentists). Dentists are not very professional. The surgeon (only there 2x/month) is awful. Does a fine job, but immature and arrogant
Do NOT! I had an appointment scheduled SIX MONTHS in advance. The appointment was scheduled for 9 AM. I clear my work schedule, arrive at 9 AM on the dot. They take me in 10 min later & this incompetent women does a few X-rays. Then, I need my cleaning and to be seen by the doctor. I waited in the chair for 40 minutes and no one sees me. No one checks in to provide an update so I ask how much longer and in the most nonchalant way they say the doctor and hygienist haven’t come into the office yet. I asked when they think the doctor would arrive and they said they don’t know but will call him. So I wait for 15 more minutes and STILL no doctor, no update from anyone. At this point an hour has passed so I get up from my seat and walk out. The woman who did my X-rays, the receptionists and everyone else saw me get up and leave without service and didn’t so much as ask me where I was going. Never again!
After 2 bad experiences in dental clinics and after an exhaustive search, I finally found YORKVILLE DENTAL OF UPPER EAST SIDE. Yorkville dental where offers by far the best experience Ive ever had in a dentist, (Im patient of Dr. Kim and the Filipino guy....Im fascinated by the cosmetic dental treatment that have made me). Its the kind of care that you dream exists but cant really believe its true! From the front desk staff, to the hygienists, everyone in Yorkville dental is very thoughtful, patient and helpful in taking care of you. This dental clinic will set you completely at ease, as you feel that youre in the best possible hands. The Filipino guy and his team treats patients like family, keeping track of their lives and needs with enthusiasm and knowledge thats beyond any doctor Ive ever met. I know that while the high level of care is amazing, never charged for a procedure that did not need a service or did not understand, by the way If you have any questions to ask about everything ... Financing , treatment, procedures , insurances, Filipino guy is the right person to talk to... They take caution with additional measures to have a reliable preventive measure to avoid more expensive corrections down the road. I cant say enough how great the practice is.....its truly a special place, built by Dr. From Filipinas and his team to provide the best level of care possible, ( and of course you waiting if its really busy which is normal to medical and dental clinics... but most of the time you are been seeing after 15-20 minutes of waiting). I would give them six stars if it was possible.THANKS Dr. KIM AND ALL THE TEAM.
This is the best dental I’ve been seen, there’s very clean and makes me comfortable, my dr is Min and Joffry. They’re very approachable and treat patients so nicely. They both are really helpful, I have to do the veneers because my front teeth were broken, Joffry gives me a lot of opinions and options, he considers my finance situation, because I’m a full time student and can’t make the whole payment , he helped me analyzing and made monthly payment. According my situation and finance, Joffry helps me a lot, and explained and showed me a lot of kind of things to give me a best choice. Dr Min is one of best in the people in there, she’s very patient and always puts her patients to be prime, even when I went to see her to fix my teeth many times, she’s always nice. And she NEVER CHAGER any fee. I chose it as my first dental, because I really like these nice people in there. And I wish I could get more discount with my payment now too!!! Hahahaha!!!!
This review is particularly for my experience with a certain dentist at Yorkville, dr. From. If you find yourself with him, run. He just wants to finish work and leave home, no matter how crappy his work would be if he rushed. He did the fillings on the same area twice but the results are horrible. Now I cannot chew on the left side and there is noticeable gap between the teeth. The front desk and nurses are nice though. Again if you went there, ask for any doctor but dr. From.
Not recommended. My teeth got much worse after the dentist performed his job. Food started to get stuck between my teeth, and one of them became extremely sensitive when I bite. None of these has occurred to me before I visited the place. It turned out the dentist removed too much of my enamel and now I need to spend 2000 dollars planting a crown over it.
The dentist them selves are okay, the customer service was also good but the communication horrible. In the mids of a procedure I had to call to find out from them that they no longer take my insurance only to be told the remainder of the procedure has to be done out of pocket. When were they going to notify me in nevaruary.
I went in for their Invisalign Day for a consultation. I have been debating getting Invisalign for years. When I walked in the staff greeted me with a great smile! I was greeted by Ted and he brought me in for a scan. He explained to me in great detail what was going on while I receiving the scan. I saw a 3D image of my teeth while they were being scanned! I then met with Joffry who explained to me the entire Invisalign process and answered all my questions about my teeth and gums. (The price was also less than I thought it would be!) Very friendly staff and overall great experience!
The first time I went for a cavity filling at this dental office and it was MY LAST!! Dr.Min did the work but I have to say the instruments they used must NOT have been STERILIZED because a day or 2 later I started to feel my gums painful. Ignored it. But when I look at my gums, they are raw looking, bleeding and PAINFUL. I returned to get antibiotics for this but couldnt get a real answer to the cause of this from dr.min. She said it was a reaction to injection in my mouth. If this were true, I WOULD HAVE HAD A BACTERIAL INFECTION all the time, from the previous fillings, not done in Yorkville dental, but it ONLY happened with them! No good to go here if Sterilization Techniques are not thorough...obviously. Ive noticed everyone that goes there needs caps and extractions.
The place is not comfortable, the work area is open and you have no privacy, also the outdoor doesnt close firmly and you can feel cool inside, I had the experience with dr. Robert From which I read many bad reviews about him, till I realized how bad he was, maybe the worst dentist I saw ever, it seems he is getting old and doesnt take care of his patient, He did 3 filling in one round, he caused damage more than help, I started with pain and eating problem, the tooth high is far less than the others, he was digging too much, also he was not looking inside, working blindly, he is tough and rude, doesnt answer the questions nicely, stay away if you care about your teeth
Theives. They bought a power supply from us and then file a chargeback on their credit card. They tried to keep both the product and their money. Not very ethical of a dentistry. If they are willing to cheat us they are willing to cheat anybody. I can see I am not the only person who has had a bad experience with them.
Awful.I went in there, waited 30 minutes to see someone, who happened to just be the hygienist, and then when she was done cleaning my teeth I waited upwards of 45 minutes for a real dentist (by the way, I was waiting in a big general hall where everyone gets treated in the same room, no curtains, nothing) until I had to leave because I was going to be late for work. Just awful.
Service is very efficient . Id been visiting this clinic since 2014.. it runs the gamut from the receptionist at the desk to ti the attending doctor who in one way way on another attended to my case in a very professional way . I would recommend it to my peers, friends & family alike ..The manager is very accommodating to my needs & everybody else ..
Im in my late 50s and failed to keep up with my dental health . But after meeting Dr. Bo and her staff and being the options of treatment available to me , I feel comfortable and convenient enough to let them help me . It may take a while to complete, but I believe it will be worth it . I give another review in December 2018
Be careful going to this place, this people over charged me and my medical insurance and they took advantage of covid 19 pandemic emergency in NYCity, because is so difficult to find a dentist office open to treat an emergencyThey didn’t even care that I’ve been their patient for more than 7 years and my medical insurance have payed them tens of thousands of dollars

2022-02-01I just started going to this office a few months ago due to its proximity to my apartment and my current dental insurance. At the time, I was pleasantly surprised with their service and really enjoyed the dentist on staff. He was kind, consultative, and understanding of my situation. When I returned, the dentist I had seen originally was no longer there and the new dentist was not as friendly and tried to sell me veneers. Definitely will not be returning to this dentist as I care too much about my smile and who is handling it. If you care about this as well, I would choose a different dentist.

2022-07-146 months ago I visited this office - The hygienist in this facility hurt me like no other Dentist or hygienist has in my entire life of getting my teeth cleaned. Days later after my appointment my mouth was still in pain and I decided this pain didn’t seem natural. Fast forward To last week, I called to ask who cleaned my teeth last time and they informed me it was Ms. Ortega. When I explained to them the problem they assured me Ms. Ortega was a temp and no longer was working with this organization. So of course when I go to my appointment yesterday, who’s cleaning my teeth? Ms. Ortega! This wouldn’t be an issue if the male receptionist didn’t blatantly lie to me about the staff when I called to make sure she was not the one handling me. I guess the facility informed Ms. Ortega of my complaint - and when I asked her to use the restroom she proceeded to roll her eyes, and sarcastically said “of course you can”. Who wants to deal with this attitude in a profesional medical setting? Imagine getting bad energy from someone in charge of handling your health because they’re defensive about their performance and is not open to constructive criticism? This place was great before covid, but after the pandemic it isnt the same. Dont go to this place if you want to be lied to, physically hurt, and bamboozled out of your time and energy!

2022-07-01Listen to the negative reviews and steer clear of this dentist. Before I got treatment they tried to get me to sign up for a high interest rate credit card by telling me it was a “financial check” i needed to do in order to proceed. They’re extremely unethical and I hope that nobody else makes the mistake of going there.

2021-06-30I have always been scared of the dentist but as you get older you start to realize that going to the dentist is just as important as going to the Doctor. I started looking online for a dental office to start my process thats when I came across National Dental Upper Eastside. I called them to asks them if they take my Insurance the young lady told me yes within the next week I had an appointment. The day of my appointment I was super nervous but everyone was so pleasant and nice so that made me feel more comfortable. I also love the fact that they meaning the (dental hygienist) and (the dentist) broke down everything that they were doing before they started they also kept asking me if I was okay when they were working on my teeth. Overall within 3 to 4 visits..I ended up getting a cavity removed, deep cleaning , night guard that I never knew I needed until the dentist suggested due to the issues I explained to him that was happening to me every morning. I truly recommend this Dental Office super great and to top it off they actually have someone call you to remind you of your appointments which in my case its great!Thank You National Dental staff in the Upper Eastside for reminding me that going to the dentist is not as bad as I imagined it to be.

2021-06-09Dr. Roman was absolutely fantastic! So far so good. I went in with a broken molar and another one that I left unaddressed for years and he fixed both. I’m in a bit of discomfort but I imagine it’s from the drilling and work. He has a less invasive approach with certain issues which is refreshing, admirable and logical. My anxiety was through the roof going in, I explained that to him along with what I was hoping to achieve at this visit. He listened, made suggestions, we agreed and he went to work!I did not get any pushy salesman vibes which is an absolute horror from most dentists. I felt a real sense of integrity and work ethic from him which is what I’ve been trying to find FOREVER!!!!!!If Dr. Roman continues the professionalism, bedside manner and overall competence he exudes in the best interest of the patient, it’ll be Dr. Roman Dental in no time!!!! His assistant, Bona was absolutely amazing as well. Such a professional woman, warm and reassuring.I literally left a dental office in Central Park South to go here after seeing a filthy office, equipment that didn’t work, staff in t-shirts, and just a horrible vibe.I’ll update you on visit #2 soon! If you’re looking for a new dentist, I’d say make the appointment now. Hands down best experience I’ve had with a dentist.

2021-03-26Not transparent about the prices. I was charged upfront for materials and then they also changed my insurance eight times the amount. Be careful with all the procedures months later the bills will start coming. No complains about the dentist, assistants or environment. There billing department will try to dry up your insurance and then leave you to pay the rest.

2021-05-28Ive been a patient at National Dental a little over 2 years. The front office staff(Sadiya and Yanell) are always friendly, welcoming and greet me by name. Dental Assistants Bona and Daniella also greet me by name and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in their genuine care for me as a patient. Recently i was there for a root canal-chewing was almost unbearable. Dr Roman performed the procedure resulting in IMMEDIATE relief. i cant say enough how impressed i am with the entire painless procedure. Thank You ALL!

2019-06-14I want to thank NATIONALDENTAL for one of the most pleasant experiences Ive had at the Dentist office in a LONG TIME. I havent seen a Dentist in over 2 years and was a nervous wreck, after making my appointment. Mind you, my appointment was at the end of the day (5pm), which is a long one for the Dentist and staff.Right away, Dr. Robert From noticed me waiting, and figured I was his 5pm patient. He walked over to me, and kindly introduced himself and said not to be nervous at all because hes been doing this for a long time. I exhaled, & waited until his staff lead by Daniel explained what would be done for todays visit. I had a cleaning with scaling, a complete set of X-rays & a total assessment of my teeth and what would be needed to be done going forward thereafter. Daniel gently scaled & cleaned my teeth and was always asking if certain areas of my teeth were sensitive to the gum area, & just making me feel relaxed....Then I got X-rays from Anna, and the new procedure of getting a 360view of your whole mouth was really cool, and this was a pleasant surprise as well.In closing, my follow up with Dr. From will come in a few weeks from the time of this review. Im now relaxed and relieved that my teeth are in good hands with him and the staff, that made me feel like they cared. Very courteous. and very professional. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this Dental Office and Treatment.

2020-09-03FORCING patients to take x-rays. My son had too many taken already this year due to his head injury and I just wanted to delay it until the end of the year. The office manager does not accept it and unwilling to proceed with dental cleaning. Isn’t it patients’ choice to decide whether to take x-rays or not?!?We’ve been visiting this office for nearly 5 years. They just love to take x-rays. Once they took panoramic x-ray for no reason for my son and when he actually needed it for his braces, our insurance didn’t cover the cost because it had been taken once already (only covered once every 5 years). On my very first visit too, they took too many x-rays. Almost felt like taking it for every tooth. They said it’s a must for the first timer. Then some of the pictures came out unclear, so I had to take extra. After the visit in the evening, I suffered a very bad headache.
