I was recommended to Dr. Shahar by my boyfriend, a long-time patient of Dr. Shahar. I initially saw Dr. Shahar to have him fix a botched under-eye procedure, wherein another physician over-filled my under-eye area with too much Restylane, thus making me look older, the opposite of what I was going for. My tear troughs were so over-filled, it created bags that I never had before. After dissolving the filler, Dr. Shahar thoughtfully recommended a fat transfer procedure and thoroughly explained to me why fat from my own body creates more desirable results in this delicate area (not to mention it lasts longer and is more cost-effective over time). After the procedure, I literally had no bruising and very minimal swelling. Within days, I looked completely refreshed. I looked younger, and my friends and boyfriend noticed the difference immediately. What I was most impressed with was Dr. Shahars attention to detail, as his intended outcome was to keep me looking natural. There are too many plastic surgeons and dermatologists in NYC ready to overfill any patient eager to resemble a filtered, Instagram millennial, just to make a buck, even if it is to the detriment of the patients appearance. He will not perform unnecessary procedures on his patients. Dr. Shahar is interested in making his patients look naturally beautiful. I want the world to notice me, not my cosmetic procedure(s). Dr. Shahar is also fairly priced, and coupled with the amazing results, I am now a loyal patient, entrusting my face to him. I highly recommend Dr. Shahar!!!!
Dr. Shahar is the best kept secret in the industry!He has a beautiful esthetic and an eye of a painter, portraiture. He understands faces and a true beauty. You can be absolutely sure, you wont look like a caricature or a plastic doll after the surgery, be that a nose job, a face lift or anything else for that matter. People will tell you that you look beautiful, young, fresh, radiant, instead of noticing you had a procedure done.My personal experience with Dr. Shahar was way above my expectations! He performed rhinoplasty on me. His touch is light and his hands are very skilled. He worked on the tip of my nose as well as on the nasal bone. I had absolutely no bruises post surgery and went back to work on day 6. He did EXACTLY what I wanted and also we were on the same page about the outcome.The facilities, where the surgery was performed (in New Jersey) were state of an art - new, modern, spotless clean - it was like a movie set!I am extremely particular and needless to say was very afraid going into the surgery. I am so happy with my result. I had a neck and lower face lift with Dr Shahar. I look very natural and feel beautiful. I had minimal swelling and bruising and went out the day after surgery.The office staff is professional and courteous and the office is pleasant and serene. Amazing service, amazing results. I should have done these procedures earlier in my life.The surgery was successful (as it was obviously expected) and I was treated amazingly in my post-op anesthesia haze. I’ve seen a drastic difference once he took off my cast, yet my nose was left as natural as ever (none of my friends even noticed!) I couldnt be happier with the procedure and I would definitely go to Dr. Shahar again.
I never thought of getting any type of work done but someone introduced me to Dr. Shahar and he did a procedure using my own fat cells to fill in some wrinkles and depressions and give me a fresher look. Totally natural. And I had so many people tell me how rested and great I look. My friends said it looked like I was on a long restful vacation. The procedure does not have to be constantly repeated. I returned to have a slight touch up for some new stress lines.... Amazing, friendly doctor and amazing results! He does the minimum needed to make you look rested and 10 years younger in 30 minutes. I am thrilled with the results of my visit with Dr. Shahar. I had Botox, Juvederm and a chemical peel. My first treatment ever. I knew something was off but I just didnt know what it was. I made an appointment with Dr. Shahar. He explained and gently showed me where and how I can be my better self. Dr. Shahar explained what has happened and how, with gentle help, I can have the look I wanted. Although still in the office, I could see the results immediately, I waited until the afternoon to take a really good look. I was beyond exhilarated. I saw the same me, but vibrant and alive. I found Dr. Yoel Shahar and his wife and office manager, Gila Shahar, years ago through a Living Social Promotion for Botox. I was a Botox “virgin” at that time and both the Dr. and Gila eased my fears by explaining the procedure and what to expect from the injections.Six years ago, based on my experience with and confidence in Dr. Shahar and Gila, I had a mini mid-face lift performed by Dr. Shahar. The results have lasted through the test of time and my stressful life as a mother, wife, care giver and business owner in a male oriented profession.I recently visited Dr. Shahar again for a little “refreshing” using Botox and fillers prior my visit to see my in laws in Venice, Italy who I have not seen in a few years. The results are far more that I expected!! The lines on my forehead and around my eyes are nearly non-existent without that stiff, over injected look. 2021-11-16I looked tired and saw more lines on my face and neck than I wanted to. Dr. Shahar is an artist! His work is impeccable. He is kind, patient and considerate. I had last minute jitters, but he explained the process and made me very comfortable with the decision to go forward. I love the changes! My face is smooth and my neck is tight!I highly recommend Dr. Shahar!!

2022-01-08I got rhinoplasty done by Dr. Shahar in December of 2021. Ive always been insecure about my features, particularly my nose. When I went in for a consultation, Dr. Shahar knew exactly what needed to be done for me to end up with a natural look. Hes had decades of experience and knows tried and true techniques for achieving the most natural looking nose. I had never had surgery before so I was of course scared of being put under anesthesia. He held my hand as I was being put under which helped me calm down. Afterwards, while I was recovering, I had a ton of questions. He had given me his phone number and assured me that I would not be annoying him by texting him with questions. Everything was answered in a timely manner. As for the end result, Im still 3 weeks post-op, but even so, I am loving what I am seeing so far. The best part is that this new nose fits my face in the way that it is supposed to. Its not what you would call a cookie cutter nose job. If you are looking to get rhinoplasty, I would highly recommend Dr. Shahar. He knows what he is doing and you will know this as soon as you walk into the consultation room.

2020-02-22Has been the best and most positive experience I have ever had with plastic surgery. At an affordable price, Dr. Shahar did my eyes, neck and lower face which resulted In my looking at least 15 years younger. I feel great. He is a true artist and actually listens to what your concerns are. Also, Gila is wonderful as his assistant. Think the world of Dr. Shahar and his team. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend him! 2021-01-12I was looking for a trusted and reputable doctor to repair my nose as it was uneven with the rest of face. I looked no further than Dr. Shahar! From his gentile demeanor to his vast experience and knowledge, he made me feel safe and secure that he would get the job done. I am almost six month post-op and so far, I am happy with my results. 2020-10-26I did mini face lift with Dr. Shahar who was very helpful and professional. He explained the procedures in details and made me feel at ease. I am happy with my end result. My jowls, double chin are gone and my face looks fresh, younger, lifted and looks very natural. Dr. Shahar made sure to give his cell number so you can text or call him anytime should you have any questions. Ms. Gila at the front office was sweet and very helpful who kept in touch with me with my appointments, documentations & follow ups. Both of them are a wonderful person and I am glad I decided to go to Dr. Shahar. I will definitely go back to him if and when I need to have work done. Highly recommended.

2020-06-08Nobody knows. no one. its thrilling and I look a TON better without my double chin and lax marionettes. One person asked did you lose weight? and my scars are invisible. If youve been waiting a long time and hemmed and hawed about doing something, do it. Hes affordable and a master and is the nicest surgeon I met with. The others barely looked in my eyes and I needed to feel real trust to have my face and necked altered with a knife! I made my decision very easily with Dr. Shahar and the results are.... invisible and seamless and no one knows why I look so much better now! Thank you, Dr. and Gila!!

2020-09-24Very welcoming office environment. Dr. Shahar spent ample amount of time with me during my consultation. He’s very pleasant and explained the procedures. On the day of surgery, I was extremely nervous, but Dr. Shahar eased my nerves that all would go well, and it did. Looking forward to see final results in a few months.

2021-01-19I am 70 years old an had a facelift 5 years ago and recently I wanted to refresh my look.I went to see Dr Yoel Shahar for advise. He recommended me to have a fat injection under my eyes an cheeks . I went ahead and I could not be happier since I look much younger . Dr Shahar is simply the best!
