The sound quality and light production is modern and top notch. The security, door, bartenders and bathroom attendants were very nice. The only complaints are expensive drinks and very little room to dance. But this is not a ravers club, it’s a high end clubbers club. They make their money on tables and bottle service. This is what they gear towards and you can’t knock them for choosing to run their business this way.If you’re a raver and want to be with like-minded people choose a Brooklyn or queens venue (warehouses/mirage).
Incredible return to NYC Nightlife. The club scene is alive and well in Midtown with some of the best sound, lighting and visual immersive effects ever to come to this Manhattan in years. Well done to ownership. Opening night was off the rails and expect this club and its lineup of incredible DJ talent to rock the neighborhood every night every weekend. We had a blast.
I bought the ticket to see Fedde Le Grand without reading the reviews. I was concerned because many people claimed you could be denied entry even if you bought a ticket, had proper attire and got there before 1am.I can only say that was not the case for me.I got there at 12am and it took less than a minute to get in. There is a line for those with a ticket and for those without one. I showed my id and my qr code for the ticket and I got in.I did see two parties arguing with the bouncer for not being allowed to get in, but in all fairness a guy in one of the parties was wearing shorts and in the other the guy was wearing clothes that were too rugged (more like for a warehouse type of rave); just wear non-sneaker shoes, a shirt, and a pair of jeans and you wont have a problem. The place is filled with vip tables, there is no way around it. But again, thats the way they run their business, and Im not going to blame them for that if it makes their venue profitable. The dance space for those without tables is narrow but it does the trick. In fact, I could tell I was having a better time than those stuck in the VIP tables, because you can dance, move around and feed from the energy of those next to you.I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because I have had better experiences at other places like Mirage and Webster Hall, the dance space is limited and there are lots of security personnel roving around at all times.
Worst “club” experience of my life. Unless you’re a trust fund baby, or want to waste your money/time waiting on a line just to be denied - then don’t even bother. My friends and I purchased tickets well in advance, waited on line for about an hour just to be turned away “because it was packed” - profiling was the actual root of being denied entry. This was the case for other groups behind us as well, they even racially profiled an entire group of Asian customers and took them off of the line, but allowed the white people directly behind them right on in - we have video proof. The best part is, we had a friend inside (she arrived before the crowd so was able to get in) who said it was basically empty and they were focused primarily on table/bottle service, I guess this is where daddy’s money comes in handy. Nebula is absolute trash, and 100% deserves the bad reputation coming their way.The app they make you download for Tickets “DICE” is working with me on a refund, since apparently Nebula doesn’t refund, how cute - what a SCAM.
Read this: DO NOT BUY TICKETS!My friends and I all bought tickets in advance to see Fedde Le Grand on 4/2/22 and it was a total SCAM. I arrived with my husband by 11:15pm and was let in after a short wait. 20 minutes later, our friends arrived and were taken off the line because the bouncer claimed the venue was at maximum capacity. Not true! (Look at the pictures attached!!) We stepped out to try to figure out what was going on. They were all couples, dressed upscale according to the dress code and completely sober. I understand if you’re not dressed up, acting disorderly, or a walk-in trying to pay at the door, but that was NOT the case. It was all our first time at Nebula so it’s not like our friends were previously banned from there or any where else! My husband and I were even seeing partygoers inside that were dressed way too casual compared to any of us!Meanwhile the employees and bouncers kept repeating “it’s not up to us” and turning their heads and backs to ignore us. They also promised a refund for our friends but how?!. They don’t even have their information. My husband and I went back in to the check-in receptionists to ask to speak to someone and they all said, “it’s not up to us, we have nothing to do with this”.So don’t bother spending your money here! We all purchased tickets via the DICE App and it said “tickets guarantee entry before 1am” but this is not true. Tickets are a SCAM! They straight up rob you and give you no explanation other than “then buy a table if you want to get in”.
Place is a complete scam. Bought tickets weeks in advance at $65 each just to wait in line for an hour and have the bouncers kick you off the line because “they’re at capacity”. Meanwhile my buddy inside said it was completely empty. If you ask any questions the bouncers get very confused and avert their eyes. Don’t waste your money or time.
Place is a scam for the everyday person just trying to have fun. It was 30$ to get in and it was supposed to be space themed but wasnt really themed at all. The drinks are insanely expensive 25$ a piece for three of us a round of drinks was 75$ so it was 165$ to get in and get a round of drinks. It felt like GTA but definitely not worth it unless youre rich just stay away
Please read before trying Nebula, my fair and honest review:Pros: Beautiful space, incredible lighting and audio systems. The club is clearly new and looks wonderful. Staff are stern but its because theyre busy and have a job to do. Youll see what I mean in the cons section.Coat check is only 5 dollars per item.Bouncers were checking IDs and proof of vaccination.Bouncers outside were kind and polite to us while we were waiting in line.Cons:About 25 dollars per cocktail.Nearly all of the entire second story balcony is vip. You arent even allowed to lean on the railing of the second floor because technically all of that space is reserved. You will NOT be able to sit at any time unless you purchase a 1-3k VIP couch. Just be aware of this.Coat check and the bathrooms are downstairs, usually not an issue. However, the Coat check people and bathroom lines end up merging into a 50+ person line going down a two shoulder wide staircase. It creates a terrible human traffic blockade. Staff are squeezing through people and youre fighting to get through. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes just to grab you Coat because they dont have separate lines.Club doesnt communicate when main performer plays. We showed up at 10:20pm and waited for about 10min outside (no biggie) but it was nearly 1am and Diplo (the artist we paid 100 dollars per ticket) still wasnt playing. We decided to leave early because no one could tell us when the main artist we paid to see was starting. Conclusion:Nebula is definitely worth trying at least once. However, the entire space is clearly built with the focus of VIP tables. Youll immediately understand once you see the space. So, if you go with a group and pay for VIP, youre set. If not, you may find yourself exhausted with little to no space to hang and dance. Overall I felt torn by the experience and left not being able to see the artist I came to see.
Very bad clubbing experience. Logistic is awful, a line outside for no reason (that old style Manhattan technique of making a line to get attention) then you have a club for hundreds of ppl and provide one line for coat checking in a very small hallway w bathroom line in the same space, so you have a bad manners security person telling you disrespectfully to move and stay in a line but ppl have no way to pass by coming back from checking their coat without disrupting the line. the lighting artist is upstairs behind the bar. Literally. theres so much to be fixed in this place, they should just hire another managing team altogether because nothing is working. Very poor quality music , you have to move around and find a decent spot because the audio system is not correctly set up. Such a waste of money in design. This place is just for the pics, they forgot ppl go out to actually have fun. I honestly hope they notice and make changes.
Best night of my life. NYC needed a club like this. FINALLY!!! The sound system is amazing, the best technology out there. Talking about technology... The lighting gives any major club in the nation a run for their money. Its Sick! The service is top-notch from the door to the bottle waitress, to management, even the bussers are on point. Aside from the great service, the DJ lineup is fire 🔥. I went to see Fedde le Grand, what a fun**ing night. If u truly want to have a great time and hang out at a venue where you want to see and be seen Nebula is the spot. Trust me 😉
This place is more Pacha than Output. I’m a Brooklyn club lover and still mourning Output but when a new venue opens up in Manhattan booking great dj’s you gotta give it a try. Nebula is beautiful, great sound and lighting but like most Manhattan nightlife they’ve sold their soul to tables and bottle service. This is definitely a place to be seen. Being in times square I’m sure they get a lot of tourists but last night by 3am it did seem like a lot of the people who came to be seen (excluding those vip) fizzled out and gave room to the true house lovers. The staff is pleasant and helpful and again this place is CLEAN! My heart will always be in a Brooklyn warehouse but if your favorite artist is playing I’d definitely suggest going to Nebula.
This place shouldn’t be hosting techno Dj’s.This is by far the most commercial venue I have seen, especially for techno events. There’s couches and tables all over so there’s no way to dance. literally you can barely dance here. Literally all of the people who attend don’t even go for the music. I went to see Adam Beyer here and it was a nightmare. If it wasn’t because Adam Beyer is such a great Dj I would’ve just left and lose $80 on my ticket. I think this is just a regular commercial nightclub that shouldn’t be hosting underground artists.
Horrible place to enjoy music.First of all the space is tiny so dont be fooled by the pictures.Second, about 70% of the space is used for various VIP sections filled with obnoxious NYC socialites and Instagram influencers filming themselves all show long. Whom none of them seem to have any knowledge of House/Techno music.Third, the bathrooms are all the way by the entrance and downstairs, which can be a long trip to get to from the front.Fourth, there are security guards almost every 10 feet. Its kind of ridiculous. The mezzanine part has more room to move around and has a bar but the sound is terrible upstairs. If youre into DJ sets, stick to Brooklyn and Queens venues like Mirage, Elsewhere, Nowadays, Knockdown, etc. This venue and its vibe is NOT IT.
Nooo this place is fake! Well Ive been living in NYC for a few years and the truth is that before coming here I was very curious, Im from a Latin city and I believed in NYC as the door to freedom would be huge, but its disappointing to see that the city (Manhattan) has nothing to offering the party is the smallest and most boring thing this place is horrible do not spend your money here I assure you it is better to stay in your house and sleep than to go to nebula it is horrible: hahahahaha I did not think it was that basic but it has nothing and besides you have to pay cover, stay in your room better or spend your money elsewhere nebula is a scam
WORST NIGHTCLUB IN NYC! We paid $90+ to see MK at Nebula and ended up waiting at the door for 1+ hour in the freezing cold. I dont understand, it really didnt make sense to me (unless they were making the line look long to hype up the event) but still, weve never had to wait so long with the uncertainty of whether or not if we will get into the club to see the DJ play his set, AFTER paying a ticket (ahead of time). I mean this club wasnt even worth it honestly, I wouldve preferred to go to Brooklyn Mirage to see my favorite DJs. The staff is extremely rude, they will step over you, shove/push you any chance they get (regardless if you are sober or drunk, female or male, they will push you in a small crowded space). Ive been to several house music events where it is extremely crowded and staff always manages to get through in a professional manner without pushing you or putting their hands on you. There were several staff that did this, staff that clean/mop up the floors after a spill, security guards, everyone. Mind you, they couldve just tapped on ones shoulders and ask nicely to move a bit but these interactions were rough and really should not be allowed. It was horrible and we will never be returning again.
I really wanted to like the club. They have really awesome djs but the space is so uncomfortable to enjoy. All the bad reviews are unfortunately correct. I hope someone from nebula is reading this so that they can maybe come to a solution and fix the issues listed by other users, unless they don’t care about people who don’t purchase VIP packages.
Amazing place, dope lights and great sound but dance floor sucks cant dance cant walk around tables all over the place so if you get a table theres gonna be ppl crowded around you ppl cant dance, dont know yet if its dance club or a bottle service club, bouncers are nice they follow orders but the management staff its very rude, was told by the guy at the door to shut up or leave, they dont care about ppl with tickets they hold ticket buyers at the door to hype up the door and sell 2000$ tables or was told to pay a 200$ bar tab to be able to go in while having a ticket. Love the line ups but the vibe isnt right if you got vip areas with tables why put tables on the dance floor.
Yesterday the soft opening is amazing!!!(Yes the preview soft opening is for exclusive indeed…I saw somebody got angry on google review page because they wait in line a little bit long….but the first-day soft opening meaning the staffs and everything is working together for the very first time, that’s why the number of guests are limited, Ppl should be tolerant of just a little wait outside and try to understand. I mean…. Yo New Yorkers! We got a brand new high end night club in years!!!!) I love this place!!! The lights the stage the tables the staffs and even the gate, omg I love that gate. We will definitely come back a lot!! Highly recommended!!
I would give it a 0 star if I could. For a new establishment I thought they would be more wary on how they manage their club. The people in the front, including the bouncers and the promoters are all racist towards the Asian community. The funniest part is, the owner is an Asian man. Crazy.
Please do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere else. Bottles cost a lot of money, vip experience was subpar, cocktail servers acted like they didn’t want to be there. Almost like they were doing us a favor by serving us. Layout is cool, space has potential, service and operations are awful.
Was on vacation from Colorado visiting my friend who is also from there but moved to New York in 2020. We both have valid IDs from Colorado. The guards began to bend our IDs and laughed in our faces saying “have fun with those IDs”. We argued with them and they told us they needed our passports to get in. Obviously, we didn’t have our physical passports because who brings their passport to a club when they have a valid ID? Rudely, the guards told us to get out of the way of the line while i waited for my mother to send a picture of my passport. My friend did not have a valid passport because she had no need to go out of country in the past 9 years. A guard told us he’d vouch for both to us if I showed him mine. I showed my passport and my friend showed them a picture of her passport from when she was a baby that her mother sent her and they laughed in her face and said that she probably bought that passport that was literally her as a baby. Finally, they asked her for her school ID since she told them she goes to NYU. She already showed them her school ID but they told her no before my mother was able to send me a picture of my passport. Finally, after showing them my passport and her school ID, we were let in. This was after waiting 20 minutes in below 30 degree weather . When we got inside, we complained to the first staff we saw and the man we talked to was able to tell our IDS were valid within seconds. look on Yelp, you’ll see this has happened to other people. The security outside are so rude and condescending.
So I went to Nebula for new year (Victor calderone) and it was beautiful, we were able to dance because the dance floor was open. I was there tonight for Shahar & Mink who love, I have seen them before but we just left Nebula because there’s a whole bunch of couches in the middle & no dance floor. We weren’t able to dance, everyone was just standing like wth 🤦🏻♀️. Never going back to Nebula, not my type of scene anymore.
They kicked my friend out for no reason and didn’t listen to any reason, this place is the biggest ripoff club I’ve ever been to. Literally flew here for Eric Prydz and now I’m standing outside the club listening to music I’d like to dance to and unable to go inside despite spending over $70 on a ticket
We went there as a party of 10-12 people and reserved a table! The table was given upstairs, it was a birthday celebration! The girl serving was really nice. The ambiance was good and had a good dj but the most disappointing was the behavior of bouncer. They were very rude and unpleasant that really ruined our whole night! there was this other guy standing by our table and just asking for tips from everyone which was another downer. There is no food service which was not something I would expect from a club like this.Overall it was a really disappointing experience specially when it was mentioned that it is a birthday celebration.
Came to see my favorite DJ, purple disco machine, on opening weekend. If I didn’t love the DJ so much I wouldn’t have even bothered with this place. We paid $80 for tickets but still had to wait outside for over a half hour, causing us to miss the first half hour of his set. Never in my life have I bought tickets to a concert and not been allowed into the venue when I got there. I guess they are trying to “build hype” by having a line outside but this is at the expense of people that paid $80 ahead of time to get into a sold out concert. If the concert is sold out, wouldn’t the capacity already have been accounted for? It’s not like the place was over capacity when we showed up.A couple other points to note- they don’t check COVID vaccinations here per NYC law. Also the drinks are grossly overpriced. I know this is a club in midtown but the drinks were even a rip off by those standards— $20 for an Evan Williams & coke.I will not be back here, and if it weren’t for my favorite DJ, I would’ve left immediately.
This is a club that has a lot of potential, but failed on the execution. My biggest problem with this place is the dance floor for general admission at this place is ridiculously small. It’s right in between the two bars that they have. The reason why the floor is so small is because all of the VIP/bottle service couches are in the way. If they fixed this it would be a nice spot. I went for MK and when he came on, there was barely enough space to move. On top of that, the club staff had to basically shove their way through the crowd every 5 seconds to serve the VIP booths. Add on the high price of tickets, I can’t say that I would come back here unless I was getting bottle service with a bunch of friends.
Came with friend Ygor the waitresses are terrible and not as attractive as in other clubs this is new york so it is confusing also the drink prices are stupid better for a rooftop or something like that this is like a giant wet hole filled with young people who do not pay
Do not waste your money here. I paid $160 dollars for a subpar at best bar that scammed and lied to their clientele. It was so impossible to get too due to it being New Years and no one informed us to get there at a specific time to avoid this inconvenience. We got no food, which is part of what we paid for. They promised to be open till 4 am and closed down at 2 am. The bartenders were rude and unwelcoming. Everything about this bar was simply terrible. I wouldn’t even have gone if it was free entrance.
GO SOME PLACE ELSE. This place blows. Bought tickets for a show before going only to wait in line for an hour an a half to be told by the bouncers that they were at full occupancy. Hey... how about you dont sell more tickets than you have space for you crooks. Had a friend make it in and was informed that it was underwhelming.
This club ruined my New Years. I spent $169 for appetizers, champagne, and general admission. I spent 1.5 - 2 hours at the start of the night to even try and find the club. Everything was blocked off and Nebula did not warn us. Instead, they sent an email at 2:01 AM after they kicked us out at 2:00 AM. This email explained how to access the club due to the barricades. Luckily, a cop was able to escort me else I would never had made it. They also advertised the end time as being 4 AM. This was not true and false advertising, as the club closed at 2 AM abruptly. Additionally, they were extremely aggressive with forcing us to leave at 2 AM. Overall, very disappointed in the club and their false advertising
If a big name DJ caught your eye and you want to go for the music, don’t bother with a place like this. This place is really not unique from other “high end” clubs in NYC like Marquee. They will make you wait on line when you already have tickets and the place is empty inside. There is a dress code but I observed people wearing hats, sweatpants and sneakers when others wore dresses and heels… at least at a place like marquee it’s more consistent across the board. Staff pushed us out of their way to enter/exit the bottle service areas. The crowd was not NYers yet they still will push and spill their drink on you anyway.
Honestly no different than your average NYC premier nightclub. Overpriced simple cocktails, little room for the regular audience to enjoy and security team that simply has a rude demeanor (then again it’s NYC). The talent that is booked is great however that is really where the praise goes to. Lights are simplistic at best for anyone that gets amused by LED light panels going up and down from the ceiling.Again, comparing it to other nightclubs like Marquee, Lavo, Harbor, it really is just your generic Manhattan nightclub.

2022-07-10I understand you need to be tough working in a night club in NYC but most of the staff are unbelievably rude to the extent that totally ruined our mood for the night. Why would we pay to be treated like this? We were only there to have a good time but got completely the opposite. They should seriously consider FIRE AND REPLACE their staff with people who are not cold-bloodily rude. I was initially glad to see a new club opening but I already regret coming back for a second time and there will certainly NOT be a third.First of all, they turned away a few of our guy friends who were visiting NYC and forgot to change to long pants even though they paid for the tickets. The bouncers said absolutely no unless they pay $2000 for a table that covers 4 people. It’s not like anyone can see anything below their face inside cuz it’s crazy packed.Second, the dance floor is insanely cramped since they put tables everywhere including a huge area right below the DJ station. If you dance or even stand near the table line (not even touching it), the security guy would rudely yell at you and threaten to throw you out of the club. That guy needs to be fired.WORST club experience ever, even though the music was fine that night. When I want to get a table next time, I would NOT spend the money here and I would not recommend you do either.

2022-04-17I was skeptical after reading a lot of the other reviews. I’m not a trust fund baby and I got my ticket through DICE. Overall, I had a great experience. Entire staff was good. Space was tight. Drinks are expensive but what do you expect from an NYC upscale nightclub by Times Square in 2022, get over it. I didn’t notice a lot of people getting turned away. The group I was with even had questionable dress attire but everyone got in and there were definitely others who got in dressed more casually. This review is for those who are afraid they’ll be immediately treated like those who left the bad reviews for this place. I had a blast.

2022-03-20- Good music and atmosphere. New and relatively clean.- Ticket (cover) price was about $30.- Drink prices are $25+ per drink (Manhattan standard).- Nice people overall, it was a bit more upscale -- the entry price and # of tickets sold limit how many people can attend.- I was going to dock a star for this, but chose not to, since this could be easily corrected. In my experience, the staff was not coordinated:1. They were unable to explain to my other party members why to activate their tickets, so I had to help them myself. The bouncers only said It has to look like his. If someone asked how to buy a ticket, I wonder if they would have known how to explain it.2. Later, was told by an employee at the bottom of the stairs that upstairs was open, and that I could go up. I walked up and was told to return downstairs by another employee up top.Final verdict: Was fun, would return. My group had a good time!

2022-05-22Paid to get in last night after reading a nytimes review stating that this was supposed be an old school club where people danced that wasn’t focused entirely on table service. When we got in, there was an absolutely minuscule sliver of the dance floor open to people without tables. If you got even close to a table rope, which was impossible to avoid given the tiny space open to everyone else, a bouncer would rudely yell at you. An absolutely disastrous experience if you’re not at a table. Do not waste your money. The club management should seriously reconsider the configuration of the dance floor.

2022-06-24The security at this venue last night during the 90s Forever NFT party were some of the rudest I have ever experienced. Ive never been talked down to so much by staff at a venue in my life. Not only were they rude but they were not informed of the difference between VIP and general admission from the beginning causing some extra long lines and not having the VIP section bar set up (which is not their fault but management). Definitely wouldnt come back.

2022-04-03Don’t buy into this SCAM. Friends and I purchased tickets ($65 each) to see our favorite DJ only to get denied entry after waiting 45 min in line. Bouncers at the door said entry is based on their discretion, but could not say what that discretion was(We abided by the dress code). They continued to say we could gain entry if we purchased a table and bottle service which wasn’t going to happen...Tickets turned out to be non refundable as well so that was fun.As you can see from other reviews this club just wants the image of popularity by keeping a line of people in front of the door even though they purchased tickets and only let the big spenders in. Why sell tickets some my ask?

2022-04-25One of the worst clubs I’ve ever been to. They are trying to emulate a Vegas vibe in a much smaller space. The good:- ease of access since it’s in midtown- great sound- great lighting with moving LED panels- nice bathroomsThe bad:- $24 mixed drinks- incredibly aggressive and rude bouncers- VIP tables in the middle of the floor which leads to very little room to dance- I heard a bouncer quote $200 as door cover for a sold out Eric Prydz night. That is insanityI am never coming back here again

2022-03-15One of my worst experience inside the club. To dance for they put a bunch of VIP stables in the middle of this for thats crazy. Thats why New York City clubbing is dead. There was no space to dance. The sound system was amazing the lighting too . But Im so disappointing Im never going back there...

2022-05-07Im an international customer who spent a lot of money in a trip+hotel in NYC just to be able to see Prydz at Nebula and I almost canceled it when I read other people reviews cause I didnt want to spend that much money if I might not even been accepted in the club. I had a completely different experience from these reviews. From the moment I was waiting in line every member of the staff was super nice and helpful. No need to be dressed up, I saw so many people with sneakers getting in. A group in front of me (they were 12) was asked to take a table cause they have NO tickets but thats normal. I usually dont write reviews but if I had not decided to go despite what I had read I would have canceled and not live 2 of the best nights in my life so if youre in this situation just know that Nebula is a fantastic club. The dance floor space was totally ok and the staff is nice.
