I lost connection to my external hard drive, I couldnt get any of all my documents. I was overwhelmed, I stop by to NCS I met Alexx excellent service, fast response, not expensive as many other places. He fix my drive now I have all my documents back Ill definitely come back for any computer matters Id have.
An amazing experience. The support staff was very helpful. I came in with 2 laptops, one of which was in significant disrepair. I was in danger of losing my data and worse, if they were dishonest they could have really sent me for a ride. Instead they gave me sound advice, were able to identify the source of the problem and figured out a way to retrieve the data.Best of all, they could have charged me a significant amount more to get a new laptop which would then have run a high risk of losing the data in the process.Needless to say I am very impressed with their honesty and professionalism so far!
Recently brought my 2009 MacBook and they have REVIVED it completely! I am so happy with the service I have received and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade memory or fix their hard rive (both which I got done).
These guys did a great job fixing a dead laptop. Reasonably priced and quick turnaround (they estimated 5-7 days but it was more like 3). All works well so far but they have 90-day warranty on their work if something goes wrong. Thanks
These guys are great. Ive used them for ages, most recently when my computer started crashing. Microsoft completely missed the ball on helping me. NC diagnosed virus infections, cleaned computer, reinstalled software and my key documents, helped me set up the new computer, etc. All for an incredibly low price. And even when I asked stupid questions, they were patient and helpful. Highly recommend!
My laptop was overheating last week and I did what I always had done first: brought it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad. The guy behind the desk told me that the fan was running slowly and that they would need to send it off to be diagnosed and repaired (4 weeks turnaround). They also quoted me several hundred dollars--more if they needed to replace the fan--PLUS SHIPPING. I work using my laptop and cannot afford to send it away for a month--especially when the official diagnosis hasnt even been given as to what the problem even is. So I searched elsewhere.After looking at a few other pc repair shops in Westchester I ended up at Neighborhood Computer Service, initially wary of the somewhat obvious title. Within five minutes they had diagnosed the problem (it just needed a cleaning) and quoted me less than half of what any of the other shops had quoted me, telling me it would be ready for pickup the next day.Lo and behold I wasnt out the door 2 hours when they phoned me and told me it was ready for pickup. By the time I was done running errands I had my laptop back in hand and was back to work the moment I got home. Ive never had such a positive experience with tech repair. Next time Ill save myself the time and struggle and go to them first. Also they have a great staff and they were all very helpful in general. I will always recommend these guys.
The best Computer and Electronics repair place in the Tri-State region. Period. We had issues that Apple and Google themselves couldn’t fix about a year ago. Met Alex from Neighborhood Computers when we went in to fix a Phone. Completely solved all our issues including data recovery. Would recommend to anybody and definitely to all business owners. Ask about Alex. He is a computer genius and can fix any problem.
The service was incredible! I took my computer because it got wet and the hard drive was damaged . At first, it seem that they could not save all my files and pictures but at the end they were able to fix it :). They do an excellent job, Ive been taking my computers there for 3 years and they have always done a good job.
Brought in an unworking PC due to a power supply problem. We were missing the power cable and two side screws holding the panels on, and NCS repaired the PC, provided a working cable for free, and put extra side panel screws on. Quick, great value, and good quality.
This place is great! Very reasonable prices and good service. I first brought by Asus laptop to BestBuy because it was getting the blue screen of death, and they were asking for $100 to just look at my laptop... Ridiculous!. Then I found out about this place from a friend, and they were very courteous and were able to diagnose my computer for FREE! They told me that hard drive was damaged, and they needed to replace it and they were even able to recover my files from my old Hard Drive. After a couple of days I was with my beloved computer again! Loved the experience over all, and now I strongly recommend them to my family and friends.
My work laptop was infected with a virus and I came in on a Saturday in a panic. I was worried that I was going to have to purchase another laptop . Aqeel was kind and informative . He assured me that my laptop can be repaired and had it ready by Monday. I am so lucky to have Neighbor Computer Service,. Since 2012, they have taken care of all of my families computer needs and with urgency and excellent service.
Excellent repair!Actually took the time to clone the old hard drive instead of data transfer.For those of who dont know, that makes a humongous difference.Visited home and helped with peripheral problem as well with no extra charge.Top notch level of custom er attention and service at a more than reasonable price.Highly recommend this repair shop to all.
This shop replaced the screen on my Apple Macbook Pro, which saved me from getting a new one! It was nice to get an estimate before the repair. I found the staff to be knowledgeable, thorough and fair. It is nice to have this shop in the area.
Highly Recommend! The person at store was extremely helpful, service was fast. I spilled coffee on my laptop which contained all my data and programs.I thought I need to start over with a new laptop, I rushed my laptop to Bestbuy where I got the laptop from 2 years ago, Bestbuy needs to hold my laptop at least 2 weeks, and wasted plenty of my time and money. My friend Jessica told me there is a computer repair store at New Rochelle. I brought my laptop to there and they accepted the challenge at a very reasonable price. They replaced and cleaned all the affected parts. I got my Laptop back within 2 days. I didnt lose any data or programs. Thanks.
Neighborhood Computer Service Is local, convenient and is worth its weight, as they say, in gold. Specifically there are three attributes that differentiate their service: a) attention to detail; b) courteous customer service; and c) trustworthiness. They deliver on time and within budget.
Ive repaired various computers with them for years and have had a great experience every time. Theyve come through on countless large repairs for me at a good price and with great service; I couldnt ask for more.
These guys are awesome! Have brought in three different laptops, in different states of repair, with different issues, and all were completely resolved and are back up and running. Reasonable prices, too.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! These people are LIARS and CROOKS.***For the record I work with computers and I knew what needed to be fixed with my laptop but preferred if a pro could do it. Unfortunately I went to this place*****They took my laptop and claimed the motherboard needed repair when it only needed a video card. That should be a $45 to $60 repair and they tried to charge me $189. I told him that it should cost nowhere near that much and asked for a breakdown of prices but he refused to give me an invoice and he refused to give me my computer even though I finally agreed to pay the amount because I desperately needed my computer.I called the police! The police did not understand why they wouldnt release the laptop to me especially since I said I would pay. They finally gave me computer since I agreed to pay but charged and additional $11.I understand that every business is trying to make money but dont lie to your customers and overcharge them. If it was $70 I wouldnt have argued but these guys added invisible charges and did 10 mins of work.
Alex and Anthony are great! Transferred all my files over from my destroyed laptop to my new one and fixed an issue with the new laptop. A was leaving the next day on a business trip. They really saved me from a mess.
I love love this place: they have fixed iPhones, iPads, apple computers forbid me and my sons. I just stopped by to see why my pc wasn’t charging, charger went bad, they had one for a better price than Macinspires. They are technical and do not try to sell you services you don’t need. Their prices are competitive and their knowledge of their field is invaluable. Thank you!!
I brought in my computer for repair because it was slow. It turned out there something wrong with the hard drive. Luckily they were able to get my information out before it died, and they left it exactly the way it was when it worked. Thank you Alex.
Brought in my laptop for damage to the charging hardware. Fixed the problem, and worked with my tight schedule, which was much appreciated. Went out of the way to look into other problems on my computer as well. Fast and friendly service!
Could not get out a stripped battery-screw at the back of my macbook pro at all. I tried the well-known rubber band method and still, nothing. I was floored that he managed to get out the stripped screw. I am thankful.🙏

2020-12-01Alex was very professional and gave me a very detailed explanation to why my Mac Desktop was acting up. I did explained to him that my mac was running very slow and unresponsive and replacing my hard drive was the only way to fix it. He fix it within a week and was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this place for any computer services.

2018-11-24Someone spilled juice on my Dell laptop and my computer wasnt turning on - I brought it here and its good as new! The staff takes care of each customers needs quickly and with care. Alex was so helpful - I got a phone call with my (free) diagnostic within a couple hours of bringing the laptop over! I needed a keyboard replacement and a couple motherboard fixes - they repaired my laptop for a reasonable price and Alex was kindly updating me throughout the process. I even got a discount because of a battery issue that the staff did not fix at first - Alex was very understanding. My new keyboard even has updated features I didnt have before and I didnt lose ANY of my data. I highly recommend them! So many shops treat you like youre just a number but Alex and the staff dedicate the time to making sure you get what you need.

2020-05-07Alex was very professional and easy to deal with. My iMac had a virus and he clearly explained what needed to be done, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. He got rid of the virus and got the computer up and running in reasonable time and at a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again for my computer problems.

2020-08-13Brought my MacBook in with a crashed hard drive in May. Alex did great work, diagnosed the problem and replaced the hard drive with a higher capacity drive, and completed the work in good time, and at very reasonable cost. Good work, professional, I strongly recommend them.

2018-05-26This place is amazing, I grew up with no experience in troubleshooting computers. However when I came here with my computer Alex was able to diagnose and explain to me what it was. I just want to thank Alex for working with me, I was in the process of moving out for school and realized last minute my computer was not going to make it. I told him I needed it fixed asap as I was moving in the next couple of days and he had it ready the next day! I even got it upgraded and its working better than ever. I would easily recommend this place to anyone.

2020-10-20Alex at New Rochelle upgraded the hard drive and Windows on my 6 year old Lenovo laptop. He was very clear, helpful, courteous, and finished the job in just a day or so. His store is easy to get to, and he properly masked as well. I have already recommended him to many of my friends.

2018-10-22I had an emergency repair needed for my laptop which I use for work. I brought it to Neighbor Computer Services. I met with Alex, who was very helpful. My computer was back working quickly, and for a great price! Also there is no charge for an estimate. I am so glad I found them.
