I went The New China Buffet today to get some lunch right off the top I received rude and racial slurs towards my race plus as I started to ask why I was told all those racial comments I was interrupted and denied service as well as told to leave the premises. This place and it’s staff are absolutely disgusting and disrespectful towards races that are other than theirs would not recommend and never eating here ever again.
New China Buffet has to be the most comfortable restaurant honestly. The buffet includes the basic Chinese food . Theres also pizza, jello, banana pudding, ice cream, and much more. My fiance and her son been eating there for over a decade now. The prices are affordable and parking lot is decent. So if you have an empty stomach and dont know what to eat . Go to New Chinese Buffet. The staff is kind and they actually let you eat instead of coming to your table a hundred times asking if theres something they can get you. To me that makes the eating out experience pleasant and enjoyable. For 3 people plus 3 drinks cost around 66.06. Not bad right!I hope this helps with your decision.-Michael-
I used to go to the one on Forest Ave and since it closed permanently I wanted to try again this one after more than 5 year bad experience... Now they have fewer selections. No crab legs no fried shrimps no veggies and nothing for dinner different from lunch. The ice cream is very cheap quality with one single flavor. Ill never come back here and dont recommend this place
I had my sisters 60th birthday party at this restaurant they let us use and decorate a party room for no additional cost just the cost of the buffet for each person of which is reasonably priced for a large variety of delicious and fresh food, our waitress Annie was the best she was very attentive polite and helpful . I have been to this buffet many times in the past and always had a good experience and delicious food ,I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is the saddest experience I have ever had in my life. Walking in here felt like I was entering purgatory where all time ceased to flow. Everyone inside was either a single mom with kids, or extremely sad. God sent me here to tell me yo continue on the path of success, otherwise that is where I will end up, at a Chinese buffet with my future children eating subpar food with scraps of money. I need therapy
I went there yesterday dec 4 2021 with my mom and boyfriend,we were eating and my boyfriend was enjoying the fried lobster and a roach was crawling by his head he called the waitress she came over grabbed a tissue and said sorry ,he asked for the manager the waitress came back and said they’ll give us 10% off my boyfriend said no , the waitress went back to the manager and came back she said the manager said half off my boyfriend said no tell the manager come to our table we not paying nothing he told the manager and we was walking out the manager told us not to come back he’ll remember our faces my boyfriend told him you don’t ever have to worry about that lol disgusting!
They used to be my favorite place but they got rid of crab legs on the menu and raised their prices. its not worth it any more.Edit: the owners response is rude and unnecessary so im lowering my rating from 3 stars to 1. I was being nice with my critique of just the food but the bathrooms were also disgusting and the man who came to collect our check practically begged for more tip after we left the suggested amount. these people are greedy, with sub par food service and facilities.
I was excited to come here friday night after COVID so I can finally enjoy the experience of scooping whatever I wanted at buffet. The place sat us down immediately, the tables were clean and the waiters get you drinks right away. They follow all safety measures with gloves and masks required , and they always clean and wipe down stations. I never see any food not being filled or any empty trays, the food kept coming out hot.I love the carving station, the pork buns, sausages and meats are really big but I noticed the station closed around 9-9:30 which is bummer for anyone coming later for quick bite before closing at 10. The sushi bar had extra fee for special rolls but its literally less then a dollar. I loved their cali rolls and snow crab / kani rolls, along with various shrimp rolls. The selection isnt big but it keeps coming out fresh. I loved how there was endless spicy mayo and ginger too, this station stayed open until10.The foods I did like were the bbq ribs, sauteed string beans, fried rice, veggie lo mein , chicken and brocolli and pepper steak; their general tsos chicken didnt have the expected sauce and their honey chicken also was like a bootleg sesame chicken.I did not like their chicken nuggets, you can make better ones from supermarket at home, it was bland! I also hated the sweet and sour chicken, it had more breading then chicken. Their ranch crispy chicken was cut up into small pieces where all the breading comes off. I also do not like their gyoza style dumplings, the meat came right out the dough. You are better off trying other dim sum options like egg rolls, steamed dumplings, fried sesame balls and their amazing doughnuts. This place has a decent balance of american to asian dishes, so that in itself is good enough for me to give this place 4 stars. Kids can also have mac and cheese, plain chicken items, pizzas. Crab legs and steamed shrimp is super popular, I also saw they have decent clams and mussels. Its also important to note all these stations had nice chili sauces, mayos, ketchup, soy sauces, etc.the dessert was subpar. the rice krispie treats look cool but it doesnt seem homemade. the rainbow cookies were tiny and their cakes like devil food and sponge were also tiny squares that were rather dry.I hated their homemade fruit puddings, the coconut pudding tasted like bleach. I also felt majority of fruits were more so in syrup, like cheap canned items. The salad bar is basic, just feta salads or house salad you can make yourself, I cant say there is much options there. I also dont think its organized well , one side is desserts continued across the salad bar, its hot mess. The ice cream station could be cleaner in the corner of buffet , this place has sprinkles all over the floor and opened bottles of syrup and cones are rather stale because they dont come packaged in plastic per cone. the only ice cream flavors they have are vanilla and chocolate.overall for 2 people with sushi fee and sodas plus the bill came to $56. nobody pestered us for tip or rushed us out.PS: why did some of our fortune cookies have no fortune?? lol
Went with my family the food was cold, you pay for full dinner prices and no carving station. Limited food in trays they dont replenish the food in trays. Bathrooms are dirty, no paper towels in the mens. room. Here is the clincher. They expect big tipps and very rude. The food was very oily and salty. My family will not go back again!!!!
Had terrible experience with this place. I ordered Non Spicy Seafood Boil with Garlic Butter sauce. seafood Boil that was delivered to my house was Spicy and with garlic, but no Butter at all. Instead sauce has brown color. It looks like a Cook put in this Boil leftovers and made it spicy to cover spoiled smell and taste. Scallops had terrible smell and test and were dry and cracked, corn was in wrinkles, shrimps dry. It was waste of money ($72 with tips) and after all stomach pain. I am not recommended this place, they not respect people. Think twice
I was a bit concerned by the negative reviews about staff and service, but, the family and i went anyway. I am glad that we did. Staff were friendly, courteous and attentive and the food was exactly what you would expect. No problems on any front, I would definitely visit again.
I tried ordering online but had trouble with their website so I called them and they were very helpful. The website had 10% off discount and they gave me the discount since I was unable to order on their website. They delivered the food in under 30 minutes. The food was very good. Will definitely order from them again.
Wide variety of food choice. Affordable price for all you can eat option. Make sure to come here before dinner menu rolls out as it doubles your price instantly. Food is delicious. Only concern is that most of the staff members doesnt really like you as soon as you enter.
I went to this place yesterday for the first time and i don’t plan on coming back. food was disgusting. my family warned me not to come here because it’s just so bad. the food was cold, and there wasn’t as much of a selection as the buffet on forest. some of the food that was there ran out and they didn’t come out with more. i threw up... literally threw up. save your trip!!
I have been to this resteraunt before but the new reviews of negative feedback posted had me wondering. Dont listen to the negative reviews.Thankfully I went and arrived around 7:30 and the woman who greeted us was welcoming. Our waiters were pleasant and fast. My boyfriend and I filled our plate with steamed crab legs for the table with butter and cocktail sauce. Then I got a separate plate with sushi 🍣 dumplings and a ton f wasabi/ginger (delish). My boyfriend had the pork loin, brisket, corned beef, dumpling, and other meats. Our food was delish! Plus we had seconds and thirds of the crab legs lol. They have a unique meat station where the meat is placed on a wood borderline and you slice it yourself. Very cute with lights hanging above it.The dessert was okay but who goes to a buffet for dessert anyway? We had Ice cream with sprinkles and a vanilla cookie. This is not the creme de la creme of buffets BUT the food is good and thats all thats hound matter.NOTE TO OWNER: Bathroom needs a little TLC (Tender Love and Care). Then Ill give you a 5.
I think the food here is decent. I’ve ate here a handful of times. The options are okay. I really like their pudding and sushi. The sushi makes the trip worth it ! The price increased since last year but it is still super affordable. I love coming here with my family and we can all get very full without breaking the bank. I definitely recommend this place for the sushi and seafood options !
Kind of old place for a buffet style eatting..variety of different foods not a clean atomsphere..pushy waiter/waitresses...watching what you take or how much you eat and leave.Wont be returning.Cant wait for Hylan Plaza renovation, no way will this place last once new and updated eateries are added to this area👎
Went here with my family on a Sunday night and everything was fine until the moment we paid for our food. We gave our waitres a 15% tip and she told us if we werent going to give a good tip that we couldnt come back to eat there. Most rude people work there. They will always rush to get you out and expect a great tip. DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE if you want to have a good night out.
Family friendly eat-in or take-out restaurant. The food is fresh and good. Chinese and American food options. Inexpensive. The employees keep the buffet suppied with fresh food. The place is clean. The employees are friendly and quick in proving services, such as clearing the tables and proving beverages. Lots of seating. Never had to wait long for service. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible.
Buffet food choices here that I had this time tasted better than the last time I was here. Its probably because they have more customers, some of whom are those workers in the ongoing construction of the big mall just outside. So theres faster turnover. And the servers typically recall you if you have been there before.
I regret it every time I come here, but God help me, I love this place! Definitely not clean, some of the food is delicious, some isnt, some makes you wonder if you will be expelling it later, but I keep coming back for more. A bit of heaven on Earth, but Ill bet Heaven isnt perfect either ha ha.

2022-06-16Food wasnt overly salty unlike some other buffets that Ive been to. It was all pretty fresh foods, but I came an hour after open. Selection of food is pretty vast but basic overall, you got your Chinese take-out dishes + some other ones that are house specials. The fried chicken, fried flounder, hibachi chicken was all extremely fresh and had flavor. This place also has soft serve ice cream that you can serve yourself. It was really good. All for 12 dollars per person + 2.50 for unlimited soft drinks, very worth. Would come here again if it wasnt so far from where I lived.

2021-07-13Stay away. Used to be a nice place. Not anymore. Many empties food trays for hours. No more crab legs, though price per person raised. The pepper crabs tray was empty for 1hrs 50 minutes then staff came with one dish and gave to person who was in line behind us. Less staff and more people, as result your table full of dirty dishes. Probably place owner use nowadays excuse to save money. Came few times and every time Sesame Chicken tastes like reheated old meal, hard like a stone. Try different place.7/10/2021: went few times more hoping they will improve, but… staff is nice, works hard. But, food… They had fried lobster tails, claws in oil. Well, the oil burnt and probably used already several times. Lobster tails and claws has rancid smell… This place needs new owner/management and chief.

2022-07-02The sushi had raw string beans in it. This place ran out of,or was too cheap to buy actual ingredients so they stuffed the sushi rolls with raw string beans. Perfect way to choke on your food. The chicken was stale and even the yellow rice was dry as hell. As Hell!!! No more. I will look for a restaurant that doesnt try to make you choke.

2022-03-31I ordered food from here for my Moms Birthday recently. Were never eating from this place again, the food is fn AWFUL! And I noticed when someone leaves a negative review, they reply back with nonsense. This restaurant should be shut down or get a whole new staff, especially the chefs!
