Ive ordered from here a couple times. Mostly when i have no cash on hand and have to pay with my debit card. I got food from them yesterday.. i got my usual, general tsos. It definitely did NOT taste like chicken. Hard pieces and crunchy. I still have a stomach ache. Definitely not ordering from this place ever again. Who knows what the chicken truly is. One good thing i guess.. delivery was very quick.
The Orange Chicken and Beef is delicious, and not very spicy, so dont be afraid! Potstickers were tasty, but the dumpling part was very thick and doughy. I enjoyed them, but theyre not really the kind of potsticker I like. Still, this place is great!Addendum: Having tried more dishes, I would also recommend the special combination plates. Getting a large quantity of the fried rice (which is much better than the regular rice) and an egg roll in addition to your main dish is great value. I can usually get two meals from one SCP. Only disappointment is they dont offer the Orange Chicken as an option. Still, Ive tried the Beef and Broccoli, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Egg Foo Young, and the General Tsos chicken. All tasty.
-Ordered by phone, Just. In. Time., on a Saturday night @ about 10:40PM. (They close @ 11PM.) Picked up in 10 minutes, as advised: My House Special Soup was PERFECT! Light broth with bok choy, mushrooms, broccoli, baby corn, chicken, shrimp... Served very hot & fresh. My order of Fried WonTon was an incredible value @ $4.95 for 10 pieces AND absolutely delish! The Pork Fried Rice was also delicious & loaded with diced roast pork, peas & bean sprouts. Whole order total: $16.03 Great food, excellent value & friendly, courteous service! This is my Go-To Chinese place, now.🥡🥟
Ive seen alot of mixed reviews here, but honestly I think this place is pretty good. Thats not to say that they dont have the occasional slip up, thats to be expected anywhere. With that said, my favorite dishes are Singapore Mei Fun (yellow curry rice noodles), General Tsaos Chicken (yes its real meat and alot of it with a great sauce), and Young Chow Fried Rice (clean and delicious fried rice with chicken, shrimp, pork, and some basic fried rice vegetables). My only problem has been with the egg rolls. They dont put napkins in the egg roll bag, so the grease doesnt get pulled away. Just ask them to do this on the phone when ordering and youre golden.
Tasted terrible and got the wrong order and when they returned with the right one he wanted the other back after I went thru it looking for the shrimp. He said next time dont go thru it. I said I have it right on the plate . Do you want that too. He said no just dont take out😬Omg was he gonna sell it to someone else!! Never go there again!!😬
Got two shrimp egg rolls with half an inch of oil in the bottom of the bag. Sweet and sour chicken excessively oily. Very very bad food. Delivery take for hour then half, I will never come back, dont waste your money in this place.
Absolutely the WORST sorry excuse for a restaurant in the capital region. Poor customer service, lousy attitudes, unclean cooking conditions; just to name a few. The owner of this place (a guy with glasses) was caught by my girlfriend who happens to be chinese, talking in their language amongst the cooks about how they hate American people and how dumb we are for eating this Chinese food, but the sickest thing is that she caught him taking cooking utensils out of dish water without washing and rinsing them off. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING I HOPE THEY CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN VERY SOON
Ive am honestly surprised at the mixed reviews. This is my favorite spot in the Capital Region and I have been ordering from them for years. My go to is the General Tsaos Chicken. The price is really reasonable. I cannot comment on the delivery as I get pickup.
The people at this place really care about people, not just about making money. I called to place an order and I told them no salt and no MSG. He told me to call someplace else because all their food has salt in it, and he does not want to be held responsible if something happens.He would not even take my order.
Good food; love their beef lo mein. Quick and courteous service. Its in a sketchy little plaza that seems a bit run down, but Ive never had a problem there. Great place overall.
Ive liked the food every time ive ordered when i actually get my orders. Theyre bad at checking their GrubHub orders (which they at least admitted they didnt look at it), most recently I called 20 minutes after my orders latest eta, and they flat out told me they didnt look at their GrubHub orders.
So polite, willing to work with me when I misunderstood what was being asked. Delicious food.
Im giving a four star bec I asked for crispy extra hot general tso chicken got reg.soupy mushy chicken.I also ordered sweet and sour chicken that was great
The food is very good, and if you wish to eat there it is clean, but it does do almost all pick up food.

2021-10-16I placed my order on Mealeo so I have nothing to say about thier customer service. Though the delivery was super fast and the driver was nice. This is the 1st time I have ordered frim New China. When I order from a place the 1st time I always order the sweet and sour chicken. Its a super basic meal.Pros of the meal: Chicken tasted good with and without the sauce. The sauce was good also. The Egg Roll was yummy. The Wonton Soup was a pint and they gave me 5 wontons which is more that most places give you. It was flavorful. I asked for chopsticks and they did provide it.Cons of the meal: the rice was dry. After I put a packet of soy sauce on it, it was very tasty. I ordered the shanghi spring roll and it was a bit mushy inside. Not sure if that is normal but Ive never had a spring roll be mushy. I also ordered a soda and asked for orange or grape but they sent a sprite.I will probably give New China a second change next time I crave chinese food. I will give a beef dish a try and will update when I do.

2022-02-05Food was standard fare, maybe slightly below par. Orange chicken was good, egg rolls were lacking, chicken stick was weird, mei fun was bland, dumplings were doughy but okay.Biggest reason for the low review is the way I was treated by the manager on call. When I got home, my sesame beef was missing from my takeout order (via Mealeo). I waited until the dinner rush was over and called for a $12.75+tax refund to my card. However, the manager only offered to have me drive back and pick it up or have a credit towards my next order. When neither of those were acceptable, he simply alternated between them, wouldnt let the conversation end until I hung up it accepted one, and wouldnt give me a refund. When I settled for credit with no other option but to continue a pointless, circular conversation for the 4th time, he took down my number and hung up immediately. I dont know if that credit is somehow through Mealeo, on some notepad next to the register, or completely made up.$12.75 later, I know NEVER to order from here again.

2022-03-01Ordered chicken egg foo young some eggrolls and some fried wontons and crab ragoons. My Gf loved the wontons and the eggrolls and Id have to say the egg Foo young was right on point. I personally like my gravy to be a Lil lighter in color and a Lil less thick but the taste of it was awsome. Definitely made my Monday night

2021-11-27Love this Chinese restaurant. Food is always good, never had a bad experience with them knock on wood. I always get house fried rice(comes with all the meat) and 3 egg roll. Give them a try, you might enjoy them like I do

2021-08-12The food is usually good when I get it, but the last time(s) it was absolutely disgusting. The soup tasted off, and they gave me the wrong order twice in a row the last two times I ordered. I dont think Ill be ordering from here again. The quality has gone down tremendously. I actually had to throw my food away because of how bad it tasted. Sadly, a waste of my time and money.The man at the counter is usually insanely rude and just throws your food on the counter or at you. They clearly dont like or want customers money.

2021-08-18We have been eating New China Restaurant for years. The service is good the food is scrumptious and quite palatable. Love the fact that no matter what is purchased everything taste just like Chicken. Seriously good food.

2021-03-18I enjoy eating New China chinese food several times a week since I work close by. Their lunch specials are solidly priced with good portions. Also, they cook quickly and Ive never had to wait long to pick up an order.

2022-01-05Food was absolutely horrible. The restaurant have a huge sign on the door no mask no entry and multiple individuals walking in without any face covering. Restaurant owner seems not to care, sign should be removed.

2019-05-13I order Delivery all the time and the delivery personal are very nice. Food is piping hot and very delicious! Never had an order made wrong in the 5 years I have ordered here. The pork ribs are extra delicious and the rice is delicious as well. There is an Asian delivery place a few blocks from here and I would never think of going back to them Ever! The food from New China is the best and the owner and his wife are very friendly and make sure their business is kept clean and speedy.

2019-07-02Went into the resurtant to order, when I was approaching I was a little sketched out since theyre in a mostly deserted plaza, but the second I walked in I was meet with friendly faces. Ordered sesame chicken and two egg rolls, it was done in around 10 minutes and I left. Got home to eat it and it was perfect, Ive seen reviews from a year or so ago saying the egg rolls are super oily and gross, but theyve definitely addressed that concern. Yes they were greasy as could be expected, but nowhere near an inedible level and annually tasted very good. I will definitely be ordering from here again 👍
