Rene and his team were amazing! they worked my wedding 10/8/21 and everything looked amazing!, my bouquets and centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous and just what I wanted. the cake flowers were also perfect and everything was done so perfectly. I had people come up to me asking if I had a wedding planner because everything looked so good. and the price is right they were so reasonable compared to other florists we met with and a cheaper price didnt mean cheaper production value. if you want the perfect flowers for your special day hire them asap!
Searching for wedding flowers is hard. It is often done months in advance when the seasonal flowers aren’t in bloom yet and there are no live examples to help you decide. New City Florist made it easy with photo after photo (including ones at our venue) to help us build our vision and then make our vision a reality. Rene was very accommodating and responsive. He met with us both via Zoom and in person and handled all of the logistics with the venue. Everything came out great and New City Florist helped to make our day beautiful.

I needed a birthday arrangement for a family member and went to New City florist. They we attentive to my needs. I’m just disappointed in the arrangement they made- I got a small one which cost me $62. BUT IT IS SO SMALL! I know things are expensive now but this seems extreme! I won’t be shopping there again!
The flowers delivered were beautiful and thoughtfully & proactively delivered a day early to ensure they made it ahead of a storm. Highly recommend!
Great service - they send a photo of the flowers that will be delivered the next day AND they wait patiently at the door for my 86 year old mother to get there and help bring the flowers in.
I love this place because of the following reasons:1.) They have a beautiful large selection2.) Price is very reasonable3.) Their flowers are always fresh unlike other places4.) Purchased over $700 worth of flowers on Monday 1/10/22 from New City Florist for my Mother-in-laws wake/funeral on Tuesday/Wednesday which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. The flowers were either dead or close to it. Everyone knows carnations last for weeks and they were dead on arrival. It was bad enough that my Mother in law passed away but then have to deal with a company that doesnt even care that what they sent to you was DEAD and NOTHING close to what was advertised. I arrived 1 hour after they were delivered and took one look at them and started taking pics to send to email them. I contacted them numerous times even sent them the pictures. I called them back 2 more times yesterday 1/13/22 and nobody was available to talk to me. I have already called AMEX and sent them the photos, Im posting here as well as BBB and moving right on up the ladder of complaints until this company provides me with a full refund!! As if I didnt already have enough grief, I now have to deal with this disaster along with my mourning. This is just disgraceful.The below left top row is what they advertise and the bottom left rom is what was delivered. Just mortified.

I have been using this florist for almost a decade and they continue to impress!!! I will post the photo of the stunning arrangement my girlfriends and I sent to our girl after her surgery...GORGEOUS! I have used their florist for every occasion. Their flower selection is not only fresh, but it’s extensive. Their prices are unmatched too. I truly don’t understand why there are any reviews with less than 5 stars for New City Florist. This florist is one of the only ones I know that are actually willing to redeliver an arrangement if it doesn’t meet your expectations. They are happy to do so. They wont stop until they impress you.My advice to the 1 star reviewers: SHOP LOCAL, stop using wire services like 1800flowers and teleflora and FTD for flower deliveries. Those are flower brokers and 3rd party order takers trained to tell you everything you want to hear and making promises that are unrealistic. It’s the local shops making those hand deliveries for you, and that’s AFTER those wire services take their cut.
We got flowers for our wedding, and everything was made beautifully, done specific to our request, and delivered on time. The owner is super helpful and easy to work with. Thank you for all your help!
I placed an order for a wake, and called the next day to cancel the order since the family wanted a donation instead of flowers. I was emailed a receipt of the refund, but no refund ever posted to my account. After waiting a week for the refund, I called the shop again about the refund. I was told they would process my refund again that day. Four days later, and I’m still waiting for the refund to post to my account. Really Bad customer service. I’ve been waiting almost 2 weeks for a refund. I want my money.
Once again New City florist doesn’t disappoint! My friend just came out of the hospital. I ordered the fruit basket with chocolate covered strawberries. Staff asked did I want to send a Get Well balloon with my order!? Of course & I thanked her for asking as I didn’t even think of that. The basket was beautiful & the strawberries gone in 2.5 seconds 😆. My friend said delicious! Who needs Edible Arrangement when you can shop local. Call them!
New City Florist has been fantastic every time I need to send flowers. They are very professional and right on The flowers are always a good quality. Their service is exceptional. I have never been disappointed. I would recommend them to everyone. New City Florist is the place to go for all your wedding needs and/or everyday events. Rene was so helpful and accommodating when it came time to pick out flowers for my 10/06/18 wedding. He worked with me nonstop so that my vision of floral arrangements came to life. Staff were always friendly as well. Renee took perfect care of our requests from day one when we were looking for flowers for our wedding. We came into the shop with a general concept of what we wanted the centerpieces to look like. He was able to go above and beyond and we were simply amazed when we showed up to the venue. The table looked perfect and the flowers were vibrant and fresh. New City Florist was actually recommended to us and it is the absolute perfect place to go for your wedding flowers. Renee was hired for our 11/10/18 wedding and from start to finish, Renee was organized, hands on, and taking the time to show us all our color/flower options and boy did he deliver! Our flowers were more beautiful than we could have imagined on our wedding day, it really was the highlight of our ballroom. I was extremely happy with the centerpieces, bridesmaid bouquets and our sweetheart table. Flowers were beautiful, fresh, and vibrant. Renee works with your budget, very personable and professional. His staff are friendly and from what I was told some has worked with him for many years. Seems like a very humble guy. New City Florist did such a beautiful job with our wedding flowers, Im so grateful. The arrangements were gorgeous, generous and fresh. People were good naturedly fighting over the centerpieces at the end of the night and I received many compliments on them and my cascade bouquet. Super disappointed at the delivery I got today. $850 for something that looks like a kid made it. The left is what was delivered, the right is what was was expected that they said it will be similar. They used all white flowers and painted them... instead of using red flowers... for $850 I was expecting a better job... the owner didn’t have time to talk because he was at a meeting... they will refund 25% still not the right thing to do.

Terrible experience!! Placed an order with 1800 Flowers which used New City Florist to fill the order, or at least supposed to fill the order. Paid extra for a deliver the following day, a Thursday. Address is a regular single family home that shows up with no problem on Google. Florist did not deliver on Thursday. After following up a promise was made to deliver on Friday and no leave the flowers by the door if nobody was home. Followed up early Friday afternoon, still no delivery. Gets promise the flowers will be delivered. Now they start complaining they can’t find the house, that easily shows up with no problems on Google. The recipient now is in direct contact with the florist and an agreement is made to drop flowers by house on Saturday at noon. At 1:30pm, still no delivery!! Don’t use this florist! They lie and make promises they can’t keep. I wouldn’t use 1800 Flowers either.
I would not necessarily trust this shop. Long story short WHY risk a nightmare and ruin what should be a happy memory.They take orders and when they are unable to fulfill it they shift the blame onto the customer and create fake “cutoffs” to defend themselves. The representative I spoke with was rather rude about this.I have ordered from them before and have had success before but I would just be hesitant if you want reliability. The way things were handled with my last exchange has unfortunately last a sour taste in my mouth. To a point where I have to believe that the prior successes were simply lucky for me.The only reason I am not giving this place one star is because of past purchases from them and a reasonable second representative. But for a store based on good feeling and warmth, the initial rude service and disappointment is something I would not want anyone to deal with. Why risk a nightmare and ruin what should be a happy memory. Unfortunately I would recommend going somewhere else now.
I met Rene a few years ago in the New City Chamber- He has always been a stand up guy, super nice and really easy to work with. I use him all the time anytime I need anything and it gets done and done beautifully. We also used him for our wedding and he was awesome to work with- prompt and everything was done perfect and looked amazing- He is a true professional, and at the same time a great person.
I ordered flowers on September 7th to be delivered September 9th. I called at 10AM to confirm delivery. I was told it was on the way. I called at 3 pm because it was not delivered. I was told it would delivered by 5pm. I called a little after 6pm. I was told scheduled to be delivered didnt know when. I canceled. This was a birthday present for a 90 year old woman and I told them that 5pm the latest because thats when her aid leaves and she could not get up and make it to door by herself. Horrible service. They should have told me that they couldnt deliver and I would have gotten somebody else.I was having dinner on 9/10 and my 90 year old called hysterically because she was being terrorized by a worker from this florist who came to pick up the flowers they delivered anyway after I had canceled on September 9th because as of 6 pm they had not delivered. The neighbor who is also an elderly man had to come out to help my mother in law. What kind of horrible human being owns this store. This is a 55+ community. People here are 70+ years old. Obviously when I was calling the florist, since 10 AM on the day of scheduled delivery; the person answering the phone was just humoring me and not calling the delivery person. She would not have delivered the flowers that I canceled. And really you screw up and then go back to pick up flowers that you cannot do anything with. If you wanted flowers so bad you could have contacted me. But no. It wasnt about getting the flowers back. It was about terrorizing a 90th year old woman in order to get your revenge. If this had caused her to have a heart attack you would have a lot more to worry about than some freaking flowersYou are a horrible human being. I hope that people dont do business with you anymore. Take the flowers and shove them where the sun doesnt shine!
I got my corsage from here for prom. Cheaper than other stores, staff was friendly when I called to order, and service was fast when I came to pick it up.
Tulla and her crew were amazing! From the conception of we wanted our wedding to look like to the completion. The attention to detail was like no other and the venue looked like a fairy tale wedding. We couldnt be happier!! I truly think they helped to make our wedding day more special by listening and going above and beyond our expectations.Happy newlyweds -Adam and Maggie!!

Order a vase of flowers for a wake and was asked what size. I requested the large which I expected would then be full of flowers but was sadly disappointed. I wonder if I had ordered a medium or small would it have had just 1 flower then. Would not advise using this florist.
I must say in the beginning the customer service was great with Renee and Allison, however, my fruit basket was never delivered. When I did call, I felt like the issue would be addressed and it wasnt. I ended up asking for a refund after not having the basket delivered and still dont know why.
Great Experience during a difficult and sad time. We experienced and unexpected passing of a close friend and co-worker. I went to New City Florist for an arrangement which was a special order made from a photo I provided. Great job, I would highly recommed them.

Flowers are just okay. Order was late and no one could care less. Didn’t even tell me until 20 minutes of waiting there that there was an issue. Doesnt care about returning customers with expensive orders I guess.
I tried to send 2 emails but both came back. Received bday flowers today that looked as if they belonged in a funeral parlor. When I called to say many flowers were dead or deformed all I was told was theyd replace them if I wanted. This arrangement is one-sided, huge, unbalanced, has drooping and deformed flowers. So..... their guarantee was Thats what was ordered. I live in a tiny house and have no room for flowers that are more than 2 feet tall by 2 feet wide and the person who sent them knows this! Happy birthday indeed.
I have had multiple great experiences with this florist including a couple of last minute orders that I dropped on them last second. They came out smelling like roses every single time!
This place sucks.Worst florist in the area. Receptionist was rude and rushed me on my order. I wanted to order a mixed bouquet of flowers. But they were awful over the phone. I wish I had got a name for who I spoke to all I know was that it was a womans voice.Do not spend your money here. If you are in the area , I reccomend Bassett Flowers and Gifts or Mayuris Floral Design. They are just down the street with reasonable prices
I love this place . The flowers are vibrant, live longer than other flowers I have purchased from other shops, and service is second to none. Rene, the owner is a really nice guy and always comes through with great product. I come from Suffern to New City to buy my flowers. You wont be disappointed.

A tricky place to deliver to during business hours if you have a 53 foot trailer. As to the owner and staff,extremely freindly and very nice to talk to. They have a really ni r shop.
Order promised on Sunday. Not delivered Sunday. Monday called for more money for delivery.only options were pay more or cancel order. Not happy. Very happy with the personal service to fix the problem. Thank you. Will definitely use again.

Ordered from 1-800 Flowers. Paid more for a 9am-12pm delivery. New City Florist missed the delivery time by more than an hour. Flower arrangement was very underwhelming. It was not even close to what we ordered. Will not be using 1-800 Flowers or New City Florist again. My mothers 65th birthday was overshadowed by this fiasco. Such a shame.

Really disappointed, have had flowers delivered to my wife on the first day of school every year for the last 24 years. Was promised last week the flowers would be delivered in the morning. The first day of school is almost over and no delivery. Called twice and was told it was the next stop. Will be going somewhere else from now on.

Ok this is the second time i.place an order with you guys second time you guys m2ss it up !!!!! The delivery was not received by the person I wanted this is the second time i.leave instructions when I want it deliver and second time you guys dont care send them when ever you guys want.... I didnt pay for a friend to receive them you guys are horrible following instructions u dont get to choose delivery date I pay for that I pay for a certain person to receive it on a specific date how hard can it be !! Ive visited the store on 5/30 customer service was very freindly arrangement of my order was done as ordered paid attention to each detail of my questions ive had the flowers after all set and done was stuning i would recommend this place .
Girls who work there don’t care what they are doing. There is no color coordination in bouquet compositions. And the bow on my bouquet was recycled one—all wrinkled. I asked to redo everything.
Go elsewhere. We can leave it at flowers are faded and old when sent out. Then there is no thought as to the design. It goes on from there. You can do better in New City.

My wife and I used New City Florist for our wedding, and we were very happy with everything that they delivered. We spoke with Rene, and he helped us to craft the flower arrangements that captured the colors we were looking for perfectly. Pricing was reasonable compared to competitors in the area. More importantly, we felt that Rene listened to our ideas and worked with us to create flower arrangements that we absolutely loved.
New City Florist is the best. They are customer focused, friendly and have a great selection.

Most of the time, I do not know exactly what I am looking for and just give them an idea of what my wife likes...they always produce a bouquet that makes me look like a genius! 2022-02-19My experience was very bad...they were not able to send flowers to Canada, and they decided to change my order WITHOUT my authorization, and they sent chocolates to my friend one week later. Definitely NOT SERIOUS COMPANY. Of course, they did not want to refund me ...

Based on were the delivery is. the service is poor in middle class communities, If I pay for a service including delivery, the vase is supposed to be gift wrap and flowers fresh, some were falling apart. 2018-10-25My husband and I hired New City Florist for our 9/22/18 wedding, and let me tell you it was the best choice we made! We worked with Rene, who is so great..we cannot be more grateful for all his help, ideas and effort he put in making our vision for our wedding come true. Below is a picture of the bridesmaid bouquet, I will post more photos when we get our photos from our photographer but he was just very organized, worked with our budget and has delivered what our vision was. He decorated St. Anthonys (where our ceremony took place) & our reception venue Terrace on the Hudson so beautifully.. all of our guests commented on how beautiful the arrangements and decor were. 2020-03-01I bought from this place before and was really happy with the bouquet they put together until today. It’s our twentieth anniversary today and my husband picked up roses for me in the morning. When I opened them to put flowers in the water it looked like the roses were far from being fresh. I’m guessing it’s better to be there and watch the bouquet be created.

2021-05-22I ordered a basket of flowers direct from New City Florist that cost $73.67. The woman that helped me on the phone said it was a great choice and one of her favorite arrangements. What she failed to tell me was they were out of the basket, out of some of the flowers pictured and didnt ask me if I would accept a substitution. The arrangement delivered wasnt what I picked. When I called to complain, the person was sort of rude, offered a 10% discount off the price and then finally credited me $31.43 which I agreed to, but bottom line, Im paying $42.24 for flowers I didnt choose. They did offer to pick it up and replace it but that would have been awkward, this was sent to someone to cheer them and should have been done right from the start. So disappointed. Pictures attached of what I ordered and what was actually sent. Edited update in response to the owners reply, actually your florist didnt do exactly what I asked you to do or I would have got what I ordered in the first place. What is the point of having a website with choices of flower arrangements if youre not going to honor what someone orders and just send what you want. It was inferior to my original order and I dont see any apology or this florist admitting they were wrong. Cheerful Days Basket was not sent.
