I placed an order with NY&Co 4/3 and it’s been over two weeks that my order sat there before it shipped! They sent me an email yesterday asking me to rate my purchase and the funny thing was I have not even received the order. Secondly, they asked me to rate/review an item I didn’t even order. How ridiculous is that? I still completed the review because I wanted to share my feedback but because it was negative feedback the company refused to post it. They said it didn’t meet their criteria. This will be my last order with them. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
I ordered several items online and it took about two weeks to hear from them about my order. They canceled some of the items and I received the package about a month after I confirmed my purchase. The quality was not what I have experienced with this company before and everything was made of cheap materials so I decided to return my order and ask for a refund. They charged me about $7 for sending back the package and it took another three weeks to receive the refund. I would never try it again!
Ladies, New York & Company is no longer the place that loyal shoppers once had the pleasure of spending our hard earned money. They are now owned by someone new. DO NOT SHOP with them. I placed an order on May 4 and today is May 13th, I have yet to receive any confirmation of the order even being shipped. I called customer service, and stayed on hold for over an hour, just to be told my order is being processed. They were not able to tell me when it would be shipped also said I can not cancel. Its a real shame what these new owners are doing to the New York and Company name.
Since they closed their stores and only sell on line, their service has greatly declined. They used to say Things happen fast in the city, but now an order placed on 5/22 still has not arrived on 6/6/22. Adding insult to injury, I received a request to please review my purchases. Add to that, if you want to return anything, you must wait until they actually receive the return, process it, then issue a credit to your credit card. Much too long of a process. NY & Co was my go to source, so it is especially sad.
TERRIBLE!! Don’t order anything from this company your order will take weeks to process and another 7-10 days for you to receive it after it ships. Doing priority shipping means absolutely nothing! I don’t think they pay attention to that. I ordered 8 days ago my order is still “processing “ the last time I ordered it took 3 weeks to get my order. Lesson learned I won’t order anything else from NY and Company again!
I placed an order April 25th. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and it’s still “processing” I tried phoning customer service and wait times are over an hour. I’ve emailed twice to customer service with no response. Today I receive an email “how are you enjoying your purchase” unreal! The worst company and customer service, will never order again,
If I could give no stars I would. When I placed my order it said that it would be here within 4-6 days. We’ll I called them on day 6 and it still wasn’t shipped and they told me that it would be 7-9 days. It ended up being 18 days. I needed these clothes for vacation but they actually arrived on the day I got home from vacation. Needless to say I returned everything!
Impossible to get a hold of customer service unless you want to be on an hour hold. Their email service does not work. My order was supposed to come to Las Vegas, and instead went to Virginia and tracking says it was picked up by someone. Now I can’t get a hold of anyone. (I had previously reached out to customer service when I saw my order was going to the wrong place.. they assured me it was en route to me.. it wasn’t).
Oh boy, here we go. Unfortunately, zero stars isnt an option or I would select it. My law firm was asked to be on the cover of a local magazine, which was so exciting and a big honor for me and my staff. I went straight to New York & Companys website and ordered a bunch of items to make sure I had everything I would need well in advance of the scheduled shoot. I then proceeded to choose an expedited shipping option (not overnight), but it was 2-3 business days, more than enough time. Once the package was finally shipped ( several days after I placed the order), I received a shipping notification letting me know the package would arrive the day AFTER the photoshoot.Panicked, I called NY&Co to see what I could do. I think I waited almost an hour on hold during that call. Based on their advice, I placed the same duplicate order but this time I paid $50.00 for overnight shipping. Over 2 business days later, I got a notification that the package shipped and tracking information was provided. Once again, the arrival date was AFTER the photoshoot, and almost 3 business days after the day I paid for overnight shipping. I spent over an hour on the phone (second call) with customer service, the night before the photoshoot in tears. Ultimately, they said the best they could offer is that I could drive out to each of the FedEx facilities the next morning (the day of the photoshoot) to hunt down the package. As you can expect, I did not accept that offer.Now, as Im typing this, Im on hold again, only 37 minutes this time, requesting that the overnight shipping fee I paid be reimbursed. I will never shop at this establishment ever again. I was out trying to find something to wear until the mall closed the night before the photoshoot. I will now go spend the time to package up these items, buy a new box (because the one they shipped was literally falling apart on my doorstep), and send the items back. If I wasnt so busy, I would send them an invoice for all of my time they wasted.UPDATE: I sent almost $500 of clothing back and they have refunded $32.41 so far.
This company is clearly in trouble. The fulfillment process is broken - items do not ship for weeks and they do not update customers. Furthermore no one picks up when you call the customer service line. Beyond disappointed. My advice: If you cannot service your customers just close.
Do not purchase from this company. The shipping process is horrendous. I ordered several items in June, its now August and I still dont have them. They can keep the city cash because they refuse to process a refund until the items are shipped and returned to them. I HAVENT RECEIVED THE ITEMS YET!??
The WORST Customer Service representative Ive ever talked to. And I swear she is the ONLY representative that answers the calls after being on hold for well over 30 minutes. She speaks horrible English and just plain ole rude and talks right over you when your trying to ask a question like what the heck shes saying.
Love these clothes. Love the fit. Love the quality. However, their return policy is terrible. Ever since their stores closed I have had to cut back on ordering. I even have a NY&C credit card but when they make you pay for returns and charge you for it, sorry, its not worth it any more.
I called customer service regarding my return spoke to a person who I did not catch the name and asked several questions regarding my order the person could not answer the questions correctly and was basically trying to get me off the phone. I asked the customer service rep for a name. The person refused several times by pausing. Finally the customer service rep finally decide to give the name as Jan. And also said to me oh I’m sorry you sound creepy. I have been shopping at New York and Company even when it was called Learner’s of New York. I will no longer be shopping in the store I do not need to be spending my money when you hire a disrespectful customer service reps. I used to be a customer service rep and I’ve never spoken to anyone like that when I called back I asked to speak to the manager I spoke to a woman by the name of Celeste who stated to me the manager was busy managers and also I got the feeling that she did not want me to speak to a manager I told her I was going to contact corporate which I’m going to do after posting this. I got the answer to my question which the former customer service rep “Jan” should have told me. As I said before I will no longer be shopping in New York and Company they lost a customer forever along time customer.
The product fits well, but you have to size up. My issue is with their policy during a PandemicI have been using this company for years. Way back from they were Lerners. However, their policy slowly became impossible for me to continue shopping from them. I purchased these shorts, and based on the review that they ran small; I sized up. Yes, I am a size 10, and the 12 fits fine. Even in the PANDEMIC, they did not extend their return policy. I havent been going to stores. When I decide to return the other shorts, the first store was closed. Another week I drove 30 minutes, to find that that store is close too. Despite trying to return the product to 2 closed stores, they want you to pay $5.99 for shipping. This condescending representative also told me that NY&C filed for bankruptcy and closed many of the stores. She proceeded while I am listening to calculate how long I had the items and expressed that they will send them right back to me even if I return them. This was my go-to store for work clothes, but with a rude rep, crazy return policy, and the inability to try your clothes before purchasing, I will be closing my credit card with them, and they lost a client after 25 plus years. CHANGE YOUR POLICY AND TRAIN YOUR REPRESENTATIVE. Remember you have competitors with open stores.PS. I wrote the same review on their website and after confirmation, they did not post it.
I like this store and its conveniently located. Its floor staff is usually helpful and their selections are very good. I do, however, dislike the fact that its the kind of place where youll have 3 people behind the counter and only 1 is taking customers. It never ceases to amaze me that this attitude is still accepted with so many brick and mortar stores going out of business due to online competition. New York & Co: your staff needs a refresher training course!!
Horrible customer service-A rep Samuel told us what we wanted to hear and FORCED me to make a payment of $35.00 on our credit card even though there was a dispute and we didnt have to. (Before him we spoke with several reps telling us the same).-Still no resolution on an issue that is over 3 months old.-Spoke to Terry a supervisor who still refused to give us the amount originally promised to us by Samuel.-Spoke to Matt the senior manager who said he would stay on the line with us to speak with a NY&Co rep about return charges. Matt LIED and did not stay on the line with us. Much confusion later.-They charged me $6.95 for the return label, beware! Huge inconvenience!Summary: The credit card company will tell you what you want to hear, steal your money, and make it impossible to get it back. You promised us the refunded amount of $71.27 now were lucky to get $6.44, consider your credit card AND New York & Company blacklisted forever. 10 years with you and now youre losing a regular customer over poor customer service.I hope this never happens with any other customer. It is extremely frustrating and tiring.
Cashiers are so rude, there was a black big lady who was in rush to go home she kept making faces and sounds she said Ugh I want to go home already she didnt even ask for my information to look my rewards up she ended up lying and saying the computer wasnt working this is the second time shes been rude to me not my fault you hate your job you should probably quit your job theres more people wholl do your job better next time im complaining to corporate. Clothes are cute tho.
They need to hire better trained employees I was trying on clothes and one of the employees just barge into the fitting room I was changing and she lets another customer in. Mind you their were plenty of unoccupied rooms and didnt even knocked on my room, when I was gonna say something she ran to a door next to the fitting room. The customer told her I was in the room and she ignored both of us, Im only giving them two stars is because I love Eva mendes collection but like I said you guys need more trained employees.
Trendy yet practical womens retail store in the Manhattan Mall that offers the latest fashion and accessories at moderate price points.Apparel is well made and affordable. I believe theres only on other site around 59th and Lex. It would be great if there were a few more locations throughout the city.
Super late. The tracking info on my order it’s been processing for over a week. Even when paid for faster delivery the delivery date was not meet, in fact has not been shipped yet STILL PROCESSING customer service really didn’t do much, just say what I already now “still processing your order” 😑 sooo when will I get it? They don’t have an exact time frame. So I guess we can not believe on the estimated shipping dates they give you during check out. I would understood if is a couple of days late but over a week??? And still not shipped??
They have stolen from me, I placed an order for some shoes and it took a long time to send them to me and when they arrived I no longer needed them and I returned them and I am talking about the fact that my return arrived more than 3 weeks ago and they have not even processed it and that is steal, I call and the phones are disconnected, the live chat no one answers, in email no one has answered my mails either…. At least they should forward what I return to them….

2022-06-29This company has completely gone down hill. So sad!The clothes are being made cheaper and cheaper every year.This last order the threads were falling apart from the shirts buttons. To return my order, I had to call 3 different times and be on hold for over 3 hours just to get a return label. (Which I still have not yet received).I have a NY&co credit card and have been a loyal customer for over 5 years. I will no longer be shopping there after this last catastrophic order.To say I am disappointed Id an understatement.

2022-04-20I have been shopping at NY&CO for 18 years and I must say, I have never been disappointed. I love the feel and look of the clothes. I know there use to be a store in Westchester County that closed and I wish it didnt. Anytime I go to the store I always find what I am looking for. The website has been updated to look fresh and deliveries are always on time. Only 1 time I sent something back but got an exchange of another item. I wish more people liked NY&CO as I do. Almost every item in my closet is from this company.

2022-08-09I ordered $170 worth of clothes almost 3 weeks ago, and they still have not shipped. I asked to cancel the order but was refused by customer service. I have never had the experience of ordering online what was supposed to be in stock and not having the merchandise shipped, and not being able to cancel the order after this much time. Buyer beware!

2022-07-29Do Not purchase from them online! Not only did it take them like one month to send out the package, when I placed my order, only 2 items were final sales. (Thats why I was willing to spend more bucks on the other items, which cost about $20 per piece.) Now when I want to return them because they do not fit, I was told that all of them are final sale items. I informed them that that was not the case when I placed my order, and they only became final sales days after when they are $5 a piece. I also told them that I have my email receipt as proof. They basically told me they didnt care. We are just following our policy for final sale, these items are not eligible for return. HORRIBLE EXPERIECE! I would not have spent hundred of dollars on this FRAUDULENT COMPANY if I knew they are just trying to fraud as much money as possible before they go bankrupt.

2022-04-16Whats going on with New York & Company? This company is slowly going down. I purchase serval items online with standard shipping on April 6 (5 to 7 days shipping plus an additional $9.99). Here it is April 16 my order hasnt shipped yet. Why have the following options for shipping when you know you cannot fulfill orders in a timely window frame. This is the second time this has happen to me.🚨🗣Buyers beware of NY&C online shopping and their shipping options. Order your clothing well in advance so your items may arrive on time.

2022-05-14I ordered a dress from NY & C for Mother’s Day and paid 16.99 for two day shipping. The dress didn’t arrive until the following Tuesday, after Mother’s Day. I tried calling to ask for a refund of the two day shipping cost but got no answer. I sent an email, and is still waiting for a response. Horrible experience for me!

2022-08-01This company has gone from great to the worst store clothing to deal with. From the quality of the clothes to their customer service. They do not honor the prices, they customer service is the worst ever. If you ask for a manager, they don’t have one available, if you ask for corporate number, they don’t have it. It really feels like a SCAM COMPANY. Because they never answer on time and by the time they do, you ended up losing/missing the timeline of return/refund, so disappointed to see this company failed.

2022-08-01I order clothes from this place all the time but due to them messing up my order, not sending me what I ordered and the quality of the clothes I have decided to no longer purchase items from this place. The worst thing they did was close all there stores and go online. Trying to return items is the worst and the people who answer the phones are terrible. I used to love their clothes and it is a shame that the clothes are now irregular fitting to big or to small. This store used to be great but now it is just trash. Take it from me do not order from these people.

2022-06-29I was so excited to give a gift card from this company for my friends birthday. Horrible, horrible customer service and mismanaged company - first, they never sent my friend the card. When I provided them proof of purchase and asked them to forward it to her, they responded and said, in these words - There was a process of switching the New York & Company Closet service partner which occurred on 8/10/2021 and we are the new service partner. The old provider auto-canceled the account. Unfortunately, since we are using different systems, we cannot pull up any of the accounts and gift cards that were purchased. They cancelled my account AND refused to refund me. And when I appealed, they said there was nothing they could do. It is also too late to file a dispute with my bank because of their lack of timely communication. So disappointed, do not purchase from them.
