New York Beer Project in other cities:
Our night here began interestingly. I think it threw us off that we were asked at least 4? separate times about whose party we were here for by the hostesses. Other people were able to be seated quickly, but for some reason our party was pushed to the side so that we had to be asked several times by different hosts. It was poor communication on their part, but we came on a busy night so we somewhat understood. Then, as we were seated, they put the clean silverware on top of our menus. I know for a fact the menus were not sanitized so we had to ask for clean silverware later. Our server was thankfully amazing! To drink I had “Walter’s Raspberry Jelly Donut”, and our friends had some tasty drinks as well. For dinner I chose their “NYBP Island Rice Bowl” (minus guacamole, fire roasted poblano crepe fraiche, and cheese) which was PHENOMENAL. It was a great night, just thought that the restaurant would want to know about the interesting start!
The atmosphere and the people are all wonderful. The beer selection is long and all very flavorful. It’s the food they need to address and or the chef or cook! Ordered corn chowder soup, understand it was to be a bit spicy. But it appears they just dumped some hot sauce in the soup, it was overall too spicy. Someone ordered a chicken sandwich it was covered in grease. Someone ordered some tacos again the entire jar of hot sauce used on a few tacos. It’s like they are trying to cover up the actual taste of the food. For these reasons I would not recommend to eat here. Talk and drink, spend time soaking up the atmosphere and then leave without ordering any food.
Some great beers. Keep up the good work with the sours. Looking forward to the return of the peach ring. Really enjoyed the tour of the Lockport facility today. Kyle did a great job. Very informative. We live near the Victor location so it was fun to visit the other spot. Looking forward to visiting location #3 on a future trip south. Love the Seinfeld theme to the tank names, but you need one called Im out! from the episode The Contest.
Each time we go back we leave more and more disappointed each time. Dont think we will be eating here for awhile. The food is going downhill and is now comparable to Applebees. The menu never switches up, besides a small seasonal menu they come out with. Food is way over priced, this plate was $16. Only good thing they have left is we never had bad service here and the beer is decent.
Went for lunch and had the barbecue brisket sandwich. The brisket was really good and it wasnt overdone with barbecue sauce. The fries were crispy and brown. The waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us. Also the Skittles sour that they have now is really good. They allowed us to try it before we bought a glass.
Really like this place. The beer was well done. Had the Hawaiian IPA could really taste the mangoes and hops. My wife said their blueberry Pop-Tart beer was the best she had ever had of I the blueberry beers. Food was awesome as well. Started off with a pretzel, fried pickles and nachos. Was pretty impressed the. dips for the pretzels were awesome. The barbecue brisket sliders embraced pot roast sandwich or some of the best Ive had around. Definitely go check them out.
Theres a reason this place is always busy. The beer selection was more than plentiful and lots of original brews, not a bunch of guest taps. The menu selection wasnt overwhelming, but it wasnt boring either. The entire staff was personable and attentive. Our glasses were never empty. If they say it will be a 30 minute wait, just grab a beer in the tasting area and sit tight. You will regret leaving if you do.
Over priced for what you get.Ordered the Memphis BBQ brisket sliders.Dont know about how people in New York think BBQ brisket is supposed to be cooked, but where Im from, its supposed to be tender, juicy, and have the flavor of BBQ.What I had was very dry (almost crunchy), hard to chew, and very, and I mean very little BBQ flavor to it.For the service, I give them a big thumbs up, and gave my waitress a healthy tip for doing her job.For myself, definitely not worth the 45-60 minute wait time to eat shoe leather put in between some bread.Just another reason why I think New York sucks.
We had the pleasure to have lunch with you on June 21, 2022 and the food was very good (we had the mulberry street pizza, New Yorker salad, a flight of beer and a flight of martini). Everything was great and highly recommended to others. However, what made our experience even better was our server Morgan G. She was fantastic...very pleasant, kind, professional and very attentive to our needs; and she was always smiling. Please pass our thanks to Morgan for a job well done.
Visiting from Florida we went here for brunch! Between my BF and I we had two flights of beer - would recommend the s’mores brown ale, Walters jelly donut, or the watermelon wheat depending on your beer preferences, the weather etc. For brunch we got the eggs Benedict flight which was delightful! Excited for them to expand to Orlando- we will be there!
The ambience of this place is really great if youre looking for a classic industrial brewery mixed with a spacious indoor bar area, outdoor seating and an upstairs event space! Beer flights are 4 for $9 with a ton of variety (no dark beers) among sours, fruity beers and other IPAs. They also have some great hard seltzer called giggle that comes in creamsicle flavor! Also the pretzel with dipping sauces was so delicious! Great presentation, soft interior, perfectly salty and the cheese sauce was the best Ive had!
This has been a favorite spot of mine for years. I came in tonight to eat in the taproom, and the service and food were impeccable. The entire bar staff were attentive to us. If you are going for the first time, order the giant pretzel, and check out $8 burger nights on Wednesdays!
Wife and I were greeted by Micheal and Megan tonight. They were so friendly and helpful. (We were the ones at bar from Cheektowaga and Long Island :) plenty of amazing drinks to choose from. The brisket melt alone has me wanting to come back tomorrow… when you start hiring full bands again hit up Echo 23!!!
The food and drinks were awesome! I was only disappointed in the customer service. Our server Kenz was great and accommodating. Unfortunately there was a communication. I asked for a bourbon flight menu and received the actual bourbon flight. I tried it, because it was there. I didnt make a dent, and ordered a different drink. Afterward, the manager PK refused to remove it from my bill even though 2 out of 3 were still full. It just seems silly and unfair that no attempt was made to fix a mistake that wasnt my fault.
It was crowded and had to order a appetizer in order to drink. Their was no where to do that down stairs. The hostess offered to wait upstairs and have a drink. It took a lot of pushing to get her to suggest that option. Once there, I was greeted with a smile and outstanding service by Taylor R!! One suggestion is you should open it up upstairs instead of a wait so people can enjoy themselves, have a runner help serve it so bartenders can tend bar and serve. Food was good quality and well prepared but luke warm at best. Overall it was a great experience I think just a few tweaks are needed.
We have been to beer project multiple times because it is quite convenient and close to our house. We have been disappointed almost every time. Tonight was the last straw. We had multiple issues at the host stand and waited long past our time to be sat. Once we were sat we ordered all of our food to come out together. 2 Items came out and the third was forgotten for almost an hour. At this point we had to leave and asked a manager to check. He brought our food out and that was it. It seems like the management at this restaurant couldn’t care less about a guests experience and wanting to do whatever they could to make sure they return. Very unhappy and will not be returning.
Great brewery. Lots of adjunct beers built on excellent classic beers. Fun and refreshing, esp for the summer. Decent food. Went there on a Friday with entertainment. They need to work out the acoustics and sound system. Ordered a crowler of Brown Ale to go. The nice young man at the bar realized something was wrong with the canner. And told us its not working Another guy got it to work after 15 minutes and sent us home with it. It didnt make the ride home. We heard a loud bang and enjoyed a 1 liter shower of Brown Ale in the car. Next time well take our beer home in a plastic bag.
Visiting this weekend with my husbands motorcycle club, and this place doesnt disappoint! Of course its lunch time, and on the table theres a variety of wings, pretzels that are bigger than your face, cauliflower wings, nybp island bowl, margaritas and mules. WE ARE SO HAPPY AND FULL
New York Beer Project was my second favorite brewery. my fiancé and I loved it here so much!! we decided on having my bridal shower here. we paid for 50 people and unfortunately 50 people didnt end up showing up. they wouldnt let us take home the extra food (it was a lot. and only going to get thrown away) which I think is ridiculous. not to mention, one of the bar tenders called me the bride who stole food I didnt know taking food that we PAID for was stealing. we will never be returning.
The experience in helping plan my sister’s wedding reception started out not so great. After receiving a call from the owner himself, we could tell that every single customer is extremely important to him. He completely righted the wrong and we are so excited to continue planning my sister’s big day with NYBP. Thank you!
My sister and her husband had their wedding reception here and it was beyond wonderful. From the minute we visited the private events venues NYBP offers, they knew they wanted to celebrate there. There were a few mishaps in the initial stages, but Kevin, the owner, called us personally to offer a generous way to turn it around. The communication, service, care, and attention is all 5 stars and above. We worked with Alexis in planning every single detail. She made us feel like we were the only clients she had. Kat jumped right in to help set up the day before and also was there the entire day of the event. Our bartender, Jake, even spent 2 weeks creating a signature drink for my sister (the bride). AMAZING! Anyone looking for a wedding venue needs to go to NYBP - I promise you wont be disappointed!
Very unhappy with the service. I Will not be returning. This past weekend when I went, the chicken was left off my chicken ceasar salad. The manager did not remedy the situation. I didnt want the chicken to come out when my husband was already done with his meal. In my opinion, my meal shouldve been comped...I was offered nothing. The servers/runners should also be checking the food for accuracy when they pick it up. In addition, the lettuce was extremely wilted and soggy. There was another situation last year where my husbands chicken was burnt to a crisp and they didnt take it off the bill either. I think the correct course of action would be to re-make the meal to take home AND take it off the bill.... but what does the paying customer know. Partially why I prefer going to corporate restaurants is generally the customer is always right, in situations like above. NYB has become very money hungry in my opinion.
Just went for brunch and it was the worst experience, especially as a Father’s Day meal. Waited over an hour for our food which came out cold and dry. Food was just terrible. We won’t be back. Quality just keeps getting worse each time we go here. A huge disappointment at a huge cost.
Most importantly, I think the beer here is solid. There are enough choices to satisfy everyone, although I would consider NYBPs specialty to be sours. Otherwise, some choices are more average than others. Unlike a lot of breweries, however, NYBP is a legitimate gastropub; the food here is excellent. A full and well-thought-out menu with a lot of variety. A top-notch pretzel, great sliders and burgers, and creative seasonal plates. The space itself is very large and accommodating, which makes for a great ambiance. Coming here for any kind of event is a lot of fun and is very much worth the drive.
Wow what a cool spot in an amazing building. The vibe inside is great. They have a ton of beers on tap as you would expect. I didn’t get to try the food but it smelled amazing. The place was quite busy but it’s a large spot too, so you can easily bring a large group or just hang out with a friend. Will definitely be coming back for food and more drinks. lol
Celebrated a birthday for a friend with NYBP. Excellent service from Megan and Nicole kept the multiple beverage at our table flowing. The food was spot on and the environment in their was perfect. Thank you NYBP for keeping my table full of friends going for 5hrs. Return trip is not impossible. I just live closer to the Victor location....lmao
Very good experience. The staff were friendly and efficient. I paid with a gift card and credit card and they accidentally charged the full amount on my card but a quick few minute call and they fixed it right away. Highly recommend the food and staff are both amazing.
The food was delicious! Even more than the food being great the staff was phenomenal. Its busy because Erie County has dining restrictions due to COVID-19 and New York Beer Project is right on the border of Erie and Niagara Counties. Im sure they get a lot of grumpy people who expect to be seated at their arrival but the staff is still very friendly. Our waiter Nick was such a nice guy. We felt as if he was a friend of the familys. Good luck in your studies, Buddy!
This is a place for great beer. I have found a few indent like over time but with a selection like theirs it is the rarity. The food. While the appatizer of chicken wing dip was good it was some how pasty and dry. My fish fry was awesome it was crisp, flakey and the serving size was respectable. The beer infused cocktail and tartar sause added a nice zing to the fish which was so good hardly used them as forgot them a little. The coleslaw was a dry mix which some may like but not my style. I like it wet. Overall this place is always worth the trip.
Decided to go here for my birthday and I was very impressed. I went on a Friday around 2:00pm and it was very busy. I ordered a beer sampler, mashed potato balls, and a chicken pesto sandwich with pasta. The beer was very good, sandwich was phenomenal, and the potato balls were alright...they were kind of cold. My pasta was too al dente for me, but the flavor was very good. Service was good as well. Only downfall was that there were a ton of flies flying around. Will definitely return.
Service was not great, took forever to get anything and felt like we were forgot about after waiting 20 minutes for a beer, only thing that came quick was the check. Food was subpar and the drinks were terrible. Went once to see what the hype was about and did not live up to it.
My husband and I went there last night for the first time because every Wednesdays feature a Beatles cover band, highly rated craft beer that is brewed on sight, plus $8 burgers.Having never been here before, we were amazed to discover how enormous it is. There is the main dining room and the tap room, which is less first come, first serve. This is where you want to go if you only want drinks, to be up front with the music on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely more of a bar atmosphere than the main dining room.We roamed around a bit and finally decided on the main dining room where we could still here the music, but be in less bar atmosphere. In addition to there excellent list of on sight brewed vbeers, they also feature signature cocktails and wine for someone like me, who isnt a beer fan.My husband ordered their Destination IPA and found it to be very hoppy, a beer to be sipped. I had a glass of Bella Creme chardonnay, their only oaked selection. Both were excellent. The menu is amazing, featuring a lot of creative choices. Since it was the $8 burger night, we had to try them. I had their Flatiron burger, but substituted bleu cheese for American. My husband had the Williamsburger, which featured bleu cheese and pears, plus a special sauce! Each were accompanied by house made fries and pickles. No complaints from either one of us!Im looking forward to going back and exploring other menu options. The only thing that prevented me from giving a 5* rating was the noise level, which I guess should be expected from a building of this height and capacity! Definitely a welcome to the burgeoning brewery scene in WNY!
Nice beer selection here and a full menu to go with it. Parm took care of me at the bar and I met a couple of nice locals just like the story on line said I would. I almost left because the bar was full, but the gastro pub is on your right when you come in the front door. Dont miss it like I almost did. You surely wont be disappointed here!
Random brewery to eat with another couple and was a great choice. Informative and friendly staff, great beer, generous beer samples, great food, and again friendly staff. Attached are the pretzels, which are huge with great sauces, and the biggest/tastiest mozzarella sticks I have every seen. So, to stop my rambling I want to say that our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable with great personal opinions on the beer and food. She was attentive and took the time to get to know us. This is our first time eating out with COVID regulations and we were very happy. I wish I remembered our waitresses name as she contributed to a great evening out.
I love it when I Go to the middle of nowhere and find a place I want to eat at everyday. Not saying that this is the place, but it is Damn close.I got an American classic meal. The Burger and Beer with sweet potato fries. This was some great food here.If youre on a date make sure shes a keeper if youre paying. While not cheap does carry good value in its ambiance and quality.
We had our September wedding reception at NYBP and we couldnt have been happier!! From the moment we booked the venue we knew this was the place we wanted to share our special memories with our friends and family. Shana was AMAZING! She made my day stress free and was so incredibly easy to work with. The food was so delicious and the staff was over the top friendly and professional. NYBP has 65 new forever friends. Thanks again!
The food and the beer were excellent, but the service was awful. Our hostess barely checked on us at all. She was talking to a guy at the bar behind us pretty much the whole time we were there and the dining area around bar was pretty much empty. I like coming here, but the service was extremely disappointing.
Ordered Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders for lunch at work today, bite into them and theyre raw. This is now the second time I have ordered something with chicken from this place and gotten it and its been raw. The last time was over the summer with some friends when we ordered nachos with chicken. $16 dollars for some salmonella.
Hands down our server was Awesome and made our experience 5 star! We believe her name was Brittani shout out to her! She was cheerful and attentive. Our food was delightful I got a panini and my boyfriend got the pumpkin raviolis 👌 Beers & cocktails were on point. Definitely recommend if youre in the area!
Our family decided to make the drive and check out New York Beer Project for the first time. We were sat at the Boathouse(I think this is what it’s called) and were greeted promptly by Cece(who was juggling an already full bar). She literally made our experience one of the best we’ve had in a very long time! Being that there were ten of us, we weren’t an easy party to manage but she was always checking in us, very friendly and went that extra mile every step of the way. If for no reason other than her, we will definitely be back!!The food was also great(especially the pretzel, we had three!).To management: find more staff like Cece. She’s an absolute gem and we all could not stop talking about just how amazing she was.Thank you New York Beer Project for giving us such a great time out!!!
Went here for lunch with my daughter. We were greeted by pleasant hostess and quickly seated. Waitress promptly came over to offer us a beverage. Of course you need to order beer if you enjoy beer. Good choice of crafted delights making it hard to choose. Cant go wrong here. I ordered the brisket melt and my daughter ordered the hometown hero. We swapped a half sandwich so we could try both. The hero was tasty with the coleslaw and Mac and cheese on it. The brisket was smokey and flavorful. The flaws that I can see is both could have used more sauce on them. The brisket was a tad dry also. The hero was saved by the coleslaw to add moisture. The brisket didnt have that to help. If I were to order it again I would get some side sauce to help. Also the brisket needed some kind of side salad to cut all that meat and cheese. Maybe thats just me. Over all I would recommend enjoying a meal with a tasty beverage.
I can never say enough good things about this place (the wait is sometimes long but,) everyone in here is super wonderful. Today our server cam was so awesome it was busy and he made it seem like we were the only people in the restaurant! We had the full gambit of foods and drinks he was so great it was the best time we had here out of many times this place never disappoints and cam rocked the day
If I could give no star I would. I was thinking about booking a event here but a friend told me she had the worse Experience. She was booking her wedding reception here and was told she had the room to find out days later she didnt. The room was given to somebody else. T E R R I B LE
Nice menu for both drinks and food. Very busy but the wait went fast as they have a massive seating area. Very cool atmosphere. Drinks and appetizers were great brisket panini was dry and one of our meals came out completely incorrect but well be back as it was a nice night out.
We stopped at Lockport after a long drive up from west Virginia. We love to try local breweries and they did not disappoint. We found the beer offerings to be diverse (more than the typical 7 IPAs or variants) and the available food was pretty good. The menu primarily consisted of standard pub type fair but it was well prepared and reasonably priced. The location itself is a nice spot, indoor and outdoor seating and bar with lots of room. Our server was quick and polite all and all a good stop.
Great place to hang out. Food is excellent and the beers are interesting. I had a Vanilla Oatmeal Muffin Stout and then tried the Niagara Snake Bite. Both really really good. They have outside seating with heaters so we sat outside while waiting for our table. There is also a fire pit you can sit around. We had a great time!
Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Service was slow both from the bar and kitchen. I got the brisket melt, it was ok. Got the big pretzel. Was great as expected. Sauces were all on point. What is pub sauce? I have no idea, but its delicious! Brisket melt was dry and they were stingy with the meat. Parm truffle fries were on point. My wife got the chicken sandwich, looked great, but be careful the mild was actually really spicy, so much that she couldnt eat it. Id come again and try something different. Would recommend.
We live in Syracuse, but came to this restaurant after my daughters college graduation from NU. Originally we were told it would be a long wait, as it was busy, which is always a good sign of a good restaurant. People get mad at long waits...I see it as a positive I’m in the right place. The restaurant recognized my daughter in her graduation robes and got us a table almost immediately. The waitress was friendly and wonderful. We loved everything from the awesome pretzel and mozzarella log, to each of our main dishes. And the beer selection is super fun. We had a great time here and will definitely be back the next time we are out this way
Where to begin? Appetizers are exceptional. Mozzarella sticks like small baseball bats. Buffalo cauliflower so good they ran out. And a pretzel that 4 people can share. Sandwiches all oversized and excellent( beef brisket my favorite). And I havent even mentioned the beer selection.
Amazing beer selection, which changes often, so you always have something new to try. Food is delicious with good varietyHowever wasnt impressed with Hawaiian Sliders...14$ for 3 rolls with fries (or chosen side) , basically paying for the fries (side). It was good but not worth the price...gave me a good idea for a snack to make at home!
Been three times over 2 months and every time the staff is great but the beer and food is very hit or miss. If you like sweet red sauced pizza then the pizza is good. The burger and chicken sandwiches I got were just very bland. Mozzarella Logs were indeed large and tasted great.
Absolutely disgusted with the host staff. My wife decided to have dinner with her friends here. She arrived first, and was told by the host that they had no tables available, and she would have to try her luck in the back room and get food from the bar. Only a couple minutes later one of the friends she was meeting shows, and the host willingly provided her with a table. I’m trying to wrap my head around why the staff here is picking and choosing who they seat and who they turn away. Honestly we’ve never had a perfect experience here, whether the waiter/waitress was bad or the food was undercooked, so I’m sure this will be the last time spending money here.
This was my first time at NY Beer Project. Its about 40 minutes from home but I saw in the paper that they were tapping a new beer I wanted to try: Vanilla Muffin Oatmeal Stout. I also heard from a co-worker that they have good food. I had the Destination Flight which was three smaller versions of their most popular burgers. They were delicious. I had the brewery soup of the day which was tomato basil, also very good. I had a Stones Throw Stout to wash it down with and bought a growler of the Vanilla Muffin to take home. This place is definitely worth checking out.
Great overall experience. The bar is nicely partitioned to allow safe seating. There is ample space between tables for you to enjoy your meal. The scenery is modern with rustic charm. The food is phenomenal and cooked to perfection. Our only drawback was being seated near a door leading outside, it was like ice water being thrown down my back when it was opened. Maybe in the future that table will be sectioned off to allow for a more comfortable guest experience.
I love the New York Beer Project. I particularly enjoy the modern and beautiful atmosphere. Great drinks and food. However, I dislike that you can’t make reservations and it is always super busy. I recommend going earlier than your party, so that when they arrive, the seating is ready! Give them a try if you are around the area!
Don’t go here too often, but had a pretty poor experience tonight. After waiting for over an hour for a table (understandable it was busy) we had our party sat and our drink orders taken. I had tried to order a strawberry daiquiri, and my server had told me I had to walk myself to another part of the restaurant to get it. As someone who’s worked in the service/restaurant industry for many years, I cannot begin to tell you how annoying that is, and inconvenient. So after walking to get a daiquiri, our food order was taken. I had order 2 Apps, and 2 entrees. Everyone else at my table got their apps except for my girlfriend and I. I had asked the server twice how long for them and he just told me soon. I had then told him I did not want my apps and entrees at the same time. Well, after 45 mins my apps finally arrived, except they were with my entrees as well. Unacceptable. Food was cold, maybe luke warm at best. But after being there for over 2 hours, I didn’t wanna go through the trouble of complaining. Not sure what has happened to this place, that used to be a great spot. The managers really need to get it together here or it’s going to be a LONG summer for them. Just an overall poor experience. Server was a nice guy though.
Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. We had Roast beef sliders and an order of 10 wings which was enough for the two of us. Ordered the giggle drink (Mango) which my wife loved and I had a Lockport lager then a Mexican Lager which was a nice refreshing beer. Definitely will be back again.
It wasnt a horrible experience, but I dont see any reason to go back when visiting this area. Bartender was most entertaining, but the food was blah. We had a order mix up, with someone at our table thinking she was getting mac and seafood, but instead got a grilled mac and seafood sandwhich. Who would make such a thing? They did fix this, but it was just mac and cheese and terribly over bread crumbed.
Very disappointed in the server and the food. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Dirty plates, actually had to yell to one of the employees to get his attention to get new plates. Food took longer than expected to come. Turkey sandwich was very dry, so no its not the best, steak was over cooked. Only thing good was the BBQ Burger. Seafood grilled cheese sandwich disappointing.
The building is huge and spacious. Perfect for Police/military retirement or PCS party. Inside outside and multi level dining. Outdoor cornhole and gaming area. Its good.I sat in Kennas Korner. The food was great and came quickly. I had the Time square burger. Only bourbon couldve made it better (it was lunch too early in the day). Will definitely be back for a dinner/evening experience. And will definitely be recommending the place to friends family and colleagues.
This place has terrible service. I feel very uncomfortable with my experience at this restaurant. We waited for service for over 20 minutes while being looked at by 2 different servers & we were not serviced until my sister got up & told the host about our issue. I just find it suspicious how 2 different tables (with white people) who got here minutes after us , still managed to get their food before we we even got our drinks ( 2 black women). The server who has completely ignored us multiple times is named Cindy. Thank you to our server Kelly for making the experience way better.
We showed up at ~6 pm, no wait to get a table for two either inside on their patio or outside. Fantastic service came immediately to get our food/drink orders, and whenever we were done with something it was promptly cleared off the table. If youre a fan of sours and/or lagers, this is the brewery for you!
The service was amazing, Hailey S. Was our server and I recommend finding more servers like her. Service is huge with me and my lady and it was amazing along with our food. My burger was absolutely amazing and my girl friends steak plate was just that as well. First time and will be back for sure! Happy New year!
Wife went there for lunch a couple times and loved it. Went back for dinner and a whole new ballgame. Fish fry very greasy, chicken pot pie was a bowl of mush, and chicken sandwhich on the oily side. Pizza was good. Our server Jacob was great and really the only good thing that night. We will not be back.
I ordered a burger and a cob salad. i am not one to complain but the burger had very little to no taste, the chicken on the cob salad was still pink in the center and the salad was not proportional as there was more toppings than salad itself. the customer service was professional but the food did not meet our expectations.
We used to love going to NYBP but haven’t been in a while for obvious reasons. We did take out a few times but it wasn’t really that great (wrong orders, excessive wait times, raw chicken) so we stopped. We decided to stop in for some beer and snacks after some hiking today. I am sorry to say, we were disappointed again. The pico for the chips just looked old and not fresh at all (the colors of the veggies were dull). We also ordered the coconut shrimp, which didn’t taste fresh and the new sauce that went with it lacked in flavor when compared to the old one. As for the Buffalo cauliflower, it was pretty good in flavor but was not crispy and the blue cheese had an odd texture to it. Service was just okay, as well. I’d like to say I’ll be back, but I’m not sure I’d wait more than 30 minutes for a table if we did. I’d like to tell management, focus more on your quality control, rather than quantity, and bring the restaurant back to how great it was previously.
Food was good. Wish we didnt have to pay so much extra for a gluten free roll. I get that they cost a little more but I feel like we should not have to pay more just because we cant have something due to allergies. And its not just this place but any place. But they charge a little more than most places
Food was 3* Drinks were 4*. Most of it was good but nothing to write home about except the Truffle fries which were killer. Drinks were better than the food.Service was 2* We waited easily a half hour to place our order after being seated and we were told ZERO substitutions or alerations. (Is their food cooked in advance and reheated?) We asked for water 4-5 times. We asked for our other drinks at minimum 3x. When it was time to pay we had to flag down our server.Averaged to 3*. Id be willing to give them another shot post COVID restrictions because their godawful service may be a result of staffing issues. But the food wasnt THAT great that Im in a rush to do so.
Amazing food and incredible staff, knowledgeable and efficient, I always feel like you can tell how well a company treats its employees by how happy the staff appears when you walk in, And the staff at this place is genuinely happy, they love what they do and it shows. Our waiter Kevin made the experience even better, and the food is outstanding!! We had the pot-roast sandwich, the taco flight, and the martini flight with the FU 2020 beer.... best way to start 2021! So grateful for this hidden gem, thank you!
Our server, Alexis, was phenomenal! I wasn’t a fan of the first dish I ordered and she did her best to help me find something i did like. She was very friendly and helpful & she deserves a raise (; the atmosphere was pleasant and this is overall a very nice restaurant
I grew up in Buffalo but moved away several years ago. I love Buffalo wings and, since good ones are scarce outside of western New York, eat as many as possible when visiting the Buffalo area. I didn’t plan to eat here but was in the area when I stoped for lunch and was presently surprised by how good their wings were.I ordered their Buffalo cauliflower wings, Buffalo wings (medium) and a Beer. Wings were jumbo, meaty and came to the table still hot out of the fryer. They were served legit Buffalo style with franks, blue cheese dressing, carrots and celery. They were very good, better than average even for the Buffalo area. They were close to perfectly cooked with crispy skin but maybe just a bit over cooked. Some of the wing’s meat was on the dryer side. The cauliflower wings, thought it could have been a one off, arrived luke warm, a bit soggy, small and I wouldn’t recommend them. I don’t claim to know much about beers but the ‘Prost’ lager was tasty.
I have been here before with the girls but this was my husbands first time. We were seated outside but nobody came to us. Then low and behold here came Cindy ,she was just coming onto her shift. She asked us if anyone was taking care of us and we said no. She was so nice and apologetic and took our drink order. The manager came to us also and asked if we are ok and offered us free drinks. Needless to say my husband was very impressed not only by lovely Cindy but also the food, the atmosphere. My sister in law and husband are coming into town this coming weekend snd we will be sure to bring them to this great place.Keep up the good work and you will never have to be one of the restaurants that closes in WNY.THANK YOU
First time, I like the atmosphere, very nice and fun 😁 great for family, Dates , sports. Food overall was good for my table but my Buffalo chicken mac & cheese needed more cheese sauce alsoIts a bit of a sour beer smell in the back of the restaurant but you get used lol.. I would definitely recommend trying this place out . I will give it another chance 😁😁
Worlds Greatest Turkey Sandwich fell short of its title but still very good. Pleasantly surprised that 2 beers and a sandwich came to only $20. Ive easily paid almost double in Buffalo for that. One minor complaint is that for all the employees I saw there our service lagged a bit. I couldve been talked into another beer if anyone asked in the 10+ minutes after finishing the meal. Will be back for sure.
We were so disappointed. I don’t know if it’s the cleaning products being used but the table was very sticky. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was not very good. The French fries were cold. We sent them back and the new ones came out soggy. The waiter apologized which was nice but he could have offered us a free beer or something. Overall it was just a so so experience.
First time here and just a tad disappointed. Our wait time was exceptionally long as there was a mix up at front desk. No big deal, they got us seated once mistake was realized. Server Chris was wonderful. They were very busy but once food arrived it was luke warm. Medium-well burger..... wasnt cooked to order, both burger and fries were barely warm. Would have sent back but we waited so long to begin with I just kind of gave up. Friend had the Buffalo Mac n Cheese and he said it was awesome. Other friend enjoyed her meal so I am looking forward to giving NYBP another shot.
Great for dine in experience. But. GIANT but here, unfortunately every single time we order through grub hub or on their online app for quick pick up / delivery there IS always an issue.🤦♂️Anytime I go in to get my food / beer, the bar host grabbing tickets fails to see if there is a drink ticket with the food order. So I then always have to remind him. They always forget multiple beers if I order more than 1, they have to then retrieve the other item due to not reading the ticket fully. And I hate to say this but good grief, the food does not travel well. The containers make most of your food quite soft and sloppy. Not to mention the cuts of meat have dropped in quality from when we first started going.Weve ordered grub hub 3 x through them during all of the COVID quarantine and I do understand these times are stressful and difficult for any kitchen. (Ive worked in them for 10+ years) But each time they have messed up my fiances order so bad! Theyve forgotten her food 2 x. Theyve also made substitutions on her meals and switched it for a damn beer.🤦♂️ Like okay. Guess she wont be eating out then. Just very disappointing. Used to absolutely love coming here.Fantastic beers but not worth the money in the food experience.
The food was great, but everytime I order from them I am working at random places and they never put in any forks or spoons or nothing at first I thought they were just forgetting but it happened too many times. This makes me hesitant about ordering their great food cause I end up having to eat salads or mac and cheese with my bare hands or leave it till I get home and eat cold food with hunger pains which I couldve done myself at a cheaper price. Please start giving people knives, forks, and spoons with their food
Went here with a group of 5 friends to sit outside and grab dinner. Everything was spaced apart and so clean!! Hand sanatizer everywhere. Totally appreciate. Our server was SO GOOD that we asked for her name after because she made our experience so pleasant and fun. Thank you Michelle !!! Food And drinks were great.
Our server Donnie F was one of the best I’ve ever had. The hometown hero sandwich was amazing. The raspberry kolsch was excellent and my girlfriend would not stop raving about the sweet potato fries and sweet dipping sauce. The food will have you ready for more and the service will make you turn in the parking lot the next time you drive by. Thanks again Donnie you were awesome. We will be back.
Inconsistent. We love that they have take-away and a variety in this time of COVID but quality is inconsistent. We have ordered meals on Friday and Saturday and those work well, but during the week if we order Weds or Thurs that quality is different. Most recently I ordered the cozy plate which is an adult version of the grilled cheese with fancy cheese etc. I got a kids grilled cheese. It was fine, but not the parm crusted bread with different cheeses. I also wish they had a bit more vegetarian selections. That being said this is a solid place - when we are eventually allowed to travel I will take out of town folks here. The beer is amazing and the staff are quite kind and efficient.
The most disappointing experience. After having a hard time finding the place, there were no handicapped parking spaces close to the curb entrances. The hostess staff couldnt have cared less about us.After speaking to a manager. He said he would talk to the hostesses but offered nothing in resolution.I will never go back or recommend.
So I am a huge beer guy and well love to try me some brewery food! Well this place took it to a whole different level. The food is amazing!!!! And well the beer is even better!! The staff are amazing ans you can tell they really love working for the company it shows! Will be my girlfriend and I weekly place to eat for many years to come!!

2022-03-13You never know how a place will be. Upon entering you see the barrels and the fermentation vessels. Pretty cool. You must order your food and drinks at the bar. The waitress was sweet and knowledgeable about the IPAS and whats on tap. The salads are huge and you can order flights. The flights are 5oz glasses. If you are in this area check it out! You wont be disappointed!!

2022-03-04A great place to have dinner with the family or to just hangout with friends.Their brewery makes its own seasonal beers. 🍺🍺🍺🍺Thursdays they host trivia starting at 8 pm.My favorite pick from the menu is Baja Beer Taco’s 🌮🌮🌮🌮

2022-04-27Adult French toast sticks. Flights of beer. Bloody mary with the works. What more could you ask for when going for brunch. Our waitress was awesome. The French toast was amazing!! But a little disappointed in the bloody mary but it was quickly made up for by trying some of the current beers on tap.

2021-09-15We had a rather large party and they accommodated us very well. The service was great throughout. We tried the melt sandwich and the beef on weck sliders. The Bavarian pretzel appetizer is huge, comes with three dipping sauces and is delicious. My one complaint was that the noise level was incredibly high. It was hard to speak to one another and eventually became so grating that we had to leave.

2021-10-25We didn’t get any beer this time but I will be back for more of this place. The atmosphere was lively, food was delicious and I would only imagine their beer selection is off the chart. 10/10 would recommend.

2022-04-16My daughter and my new son in law had their wedding reception dinner at the New York Beer Project three weeks ago. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the great care given to us. The food was delicious. The drinks were wonderful especially the signature drinks created for the bride and groom. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed. Both of our families enjoyed every minute. Thank you for making the day a wonderfully memorable one. Thank you to Jake, Kat, and Alexis!

2021-11-10Outstanding food! Ate at the bar. I had a victor lager the first night which was good. Tried a few more in a flight the 2nd night. All were pretty good. The food was the star though. I’d go back once a week if this was near where I live.
