I have really mixed feelings about this. Looking at the positives: they respond very, very quickly to your emails. Its quite respectable, honestly, just how much they do seem to care about communication. The birds themselves are also pretty great, and they seem to be healthy; they fit right in with the flock.However, there are some major negatives. Firstly, I ordered a male society, but I got a female. It might not seem like a big deal, but I have three girls (now four) but no male for them; they have no one to build up their nest, and no one to defend them. Its a problem. Secondly, the bird came with NO tail feathers, and NO ability to fly. When I tried to ask how this can even happen, they never answered my question on why I got a bird in this state. I asked if they clipped her wings, and got no response. I asked if they could look back to verify they sent me a male, and got no response.Pure and simple: I didnt get what I bought. I asked them if they could just send me a male because thats what I wanted. They instead just refunded me, which doesnt resolve anything. I still dont have a male like I bought and dont know why not. I still have a bird that cant fly and I dont know why not.I again want to stress that communication-wise, they are good, at least when it comes to speed. The birds are beautiful and healthy. But I still just didnt get what I ordered, and the refund only does so much given shipping costs $75. If I were to buy another male from them, whos to say it will even be a male next time?Ive attached a picture to show the condition the society arrived in - you can see that her entire tail is gone. Its grown back a bit but she still cant fly. I also attached a picture of the Gouldian who you can see is just fine. Again, pretty birds, but the society is not a male and cant fly. I cannot recommend buying harder-to-sex birds from this store; this could either be a case of them sending me the wrong bird, or they just didnt sex her correctly.

I found NY Bird Supply online after another breeder in Washington state turned out to be fake— NY Bird Supply is the REAL DEAL.I have gotten approximately eight birds from them and they ALWAYS deliver! The birds are healthy, exactly as pictured, and delivered safely. Their shipping rate is extremely reasonable for the care it takes for live animals.Possibly the best aspect of NY Bird Supply is that they have given GREAT CUSTOMER CARE— their communication is spot on. They are always good to get in touch with me right away if there are any questions. Their follow-up and attention to detail has shown me that a.) they care about me being happy and b.) they care very much for the animals.I have been very happy with the products and service I’ve gotten from NY Bird and will definitely continue to do business with them in the future! I made two separate orders with this business via online, the food and supply shipments arrived on time and in great condition, I ordered a java finch that was meant to ship out via overnight Express and had some issues with my local post office in receiving it, even though the arrival was delayed an extra day the bird arrived in good health, they sent me I believe a fairly young one so the tail feathers had not grown in fully but the bird had a good weight and was active and alert just minutes out of the box

I ordered parakeet seed from New York bird supply online( Amazon).I want to give these guys 5 stars, for their customer service. I had an issue with my package( NOT their fault) and they were very curtious and they went above and beyond to help me. They were very pleasant to do business with. I received my order very quickly and was actually 2 days ahead of estimated delivery.They carry excellent products Volkman bird seed which in my opinion is of highest quality. I will definitely be ordering all of my supplies from them in all of my future needs. Thank you.

Wonderful experience buying LIVE birds online. Yes, they are real, yes they have the birds you are ordering. I just got 3 waxbills in the mail all looking great and healthy.

I can see the difference between the old owner and stuff compared to the new one. Poor customer service.to many scams. They send you coupons a week expired then when u try to use them ,of course they dont work.it happens twice to me.and then when u call and complaint they dont even help u.they just lost a $1450 order today..

I wanted to share my first experience I recently had buying a number of finches at NY Bird Supply. I have to say it was 100% positive. I traveled to NY from Massachusetts - and I was a little nervous about that, but through emails the owner answered all the questions and concerns I had about the birds, and about their safety precautions they had in place. The love and care that I saw for the birds get was incredible - it was the cleanest bird room I have ever seen. Just talking with the owner - I could see how much he still loves these birds - Hes been raising birds since he was 10 years old. His story is quite inspiring. Even though it was the longest drive Ive taken since Covid hit - I cant wait to get back their when he has some Blue Back Gouldians. I have done so much research on other bird suppliers and from what I can see - you have to wait months to get them. so finding NY Bird supply has been a real blessing to me during this stressful time we are living in.

The worst customer service experience Ive ever had, cheaters and scammers, the reviews you are reading are from the old owner Bob, these bew guys idk how they sleep at knight especially the manager, arrogant and careless, I would rather speak with Indian scammer
