If I can give 0 stars I would! When I walked in I was asked if I needed a mask and I said yes.One of the male security guards handed me a mask but held it from the part where the nose belongs so I asked if I can get a new one. I went to grab one myself because I didn’t want anyone else touching a mask that I’m supposed to wear and he quickly got defensive as if I was trying to steal the box. His demeanor was very disrespectful for no reason!! He said he didn’t know what I was trying to do. Obviously I was trying to grab my own mask and I wasn’t being a threat to anyone. A lot of your workers have issues and don’t have manners.

They really move quick in there so the wait is never more then an hour so far I only encountered one nasty representative who works at window one black girl and shes supposed to be a supervisor and she does the budget letters she is so disrespectful attitude is nasty even if she was pretty shell still be ugly because her attitude just thinks that she treats you like like a piece of s*** other than that place is okay

Absolutely horrible, The customer service, the employees (theirs maybe one or two in the computer room willing to help), the wait time (because of the ignorance of the employees)THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATEDP.S. If it wasn’t illegal, I would record what I’ve witnessed because theirs no way what their doing in this facility is legal.

When you come to places like this, it is imperative that you remember everyone that is working there is different from one another. Sometimes, the first person you meet there will be more upsetting than the next person you meet. I understand first impressions are important, and that sometimes one person can negatively effect the way we look at a whole entire organization, but the organization as a whole should be recognized and critiqued accurately. The lady at the front desk on the food stamps floor is not very nice in my honest opinion. If I find out her name, I will share it with you all because this isnt my first encounter with her. Every single time Ive spoken to her, shes been nothing but rude, disrespectful, and completely insensitive to my situation. As for the real workers such as case managers and so on, they have all been absolute wonderful people who have given me an opportunity to live in this state safely. I broke down in tears multiple times because I had been waiting for 5 hours in the waiting room to be called and genuinely thought I was not going to see anyone, so be prepared for a long wait. Of course not everyone will wait long, but most people do. Also, when they call your number which also has letters either beginning with P, X, or C on the screen, just know that they do not call them in numeric and alphabetic order. That will unfortunately put you in a place where you are sitting blind, not knowing when you will be called.It doesnt matter to me though. They had said multiple times that they were doing their best. With that being said, I was just grateful that I was even spoken to and helped. If they sat down with me and told me I had to sit there for 10 more hours just to get the help that they gave me, I would have done it. It was worth it. I have never been so happy and grateful for an opportunity given to me. The people who come here are emotionally broken. Most of them have lost the will to fight, and are dealing with so much where some of them dont even know if they will live or die. To any of the workers there, please know that a smile and a polite and sensitive attitude goes a long way in your line of work. For Tatyana, (my case manager), if you are reading this, you have made my life much better. I wish absolutely nothing but peace and prosperity for you if you continue to do the great things that you have done. Thank you.

Considering that we are in a pandemic it was partially easy for the workers & security to attend to me. I hope my issue was fix, because the state of the pandemic that we are in it is not easy to deal with these issues.

I called to inquire where I had to go to pick up my card, and the woman that picked up the phone (didnt get her name unfortunately) was very discourteous. She was short with me because I couldnt make out her mumbling when she introduced herself and stated her location. Some people arent cut out for service positions...

Listen I cant give something a bad grade or review knowing what to expect and understanding that government agencies will never be as effecient and effective as the private sector. The reason why I give a 3(average) grade is because of thr implications and effect this puts on a person if that person doesnt change or have the willingness to take this helping hand and move forward and not do what many do and that is accept this helping hand and expect the whole arm. This program was first designed as a way to advance you in order to be abke to get ahead as quick as others or a little easier than before but thru out the years they have noticed that it actually limits thr person because of its free handouts without thr need to show responsibility and active change. So the government and thr elite fed off this and used this mind fu*k and implemented it to limit thr poor communities.Welfare which limits families and individuals from moving forward because all it does is give give give without asking for any improvements; It plays with the weakness Human nature which strokes the ego into thinking its moving ahead and shuts the outsides world and then when you look up ten years have passed and this individual is still getting the same amount of benifits its been getting while not realizing thst this amount is obsulete in thr real world and thst one can get 2x more just by getting a job and putting effort in instead of sitting back and expecting things to be given. When you are use to having things given to you all the time, you start expecting things without any work which means you feel entitled which means you have high expectations which means you will never be satisfied and this bitterness will stop you from moving forward this keeping you in a loop for generations and generations. Dont feel bad because this was planned all along.

Long wait, understaffed, minimal help, untrained and mean staff. The food stamp work program does nothing to help you find work either. Im hungry as we speak and was refused emergency food stamps. This place is a waste of tax payer money. They did not help me at all. Ive been back there three times waiting all day just to ve seen. I am really struggling and starving here. We should not treat our fellow man like this.

Patience, good documentations and a great deal of luck i.e. who actually is handling your case, are the key to getting the service and goods that I needed. On 01/17/14, I went to 12 W 14th St office. I started at 8:40 am and finished at 2 pm. I was able to obtain emergency food stamps and also applied for a free cell phone. I am waiting on the paper work to enroll in Medicaid. I am also schedule for another required interview to try and get cash assistance. Most of the road blocks are cause by not correctly filling out their applications and lack of documentations. It is very important to get to the office as early as possible and Thursday or Friday are the two better days to try.

I WAS THE WITNESS HOW OVER PATIENT WAS THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OFFICE WITH THE CLIENT. WHEN SHE FINISHED THE EXPLANATION, I ASK HER NAME BECAUSE I WAS SURPRISED BY HER OVER PATIENCE. HER NAME IS MS. BRADFORD. SHE KINDLY AND BENEVOLENTLY EXPLAINED TO THE CLIENT WHAT HE HAS TO DO IN ORDER TO GET WISHED RESULT, ALSO HIS CASE BELONGED TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT. THANK HER AGAIN VERY MUCH.
