This is the worst precinct of all time in NYCI literally do not know how anyone has a job in the 45, I would be embarrassed to tel someone I worked there. I hope everyone who works out of here’s children forget how to read and become useless like their parents

Before I type anything else I want to stress that I respect & appreciate the NYPD 200% & I dont agree with the label that society has casted on them as a whole in recent years all because of a few bad apples. Its important to acknowledge that this is the safest big city on the planet & theyre the reason for it. So no, Im not disgruntled or a hater. Now with that said let me now make mention that this precinct populates a good amount of those bad apples. The officers here tend to be rude & disrespectful towards the community. They give the impression that its an us vs them mentality & even if youre the person who called upon them, they still treat you like a perp. They hypocritically park on the sidewalk in front of & on the surrounding block of their precinct but write tickets to parents who have no choice but to double park in front of the school when picking up our children at dismissal. If you complain, they harass you. If you call them because someone parked in your driveway or your burglar alarm goes off, MAYBE they will swing by 5+ hours later. If you complain about that, they tell you that theres more important things going on when you just seen them sitting in 711 parking lot drinking coffee half an hour earlier. Im not one to throw that we pay your salary line out there but we actually do & not all of us are bad apples either. They need to understand that & a little sensitivity training wouldnt hurt.

Wish I could rate this place 0 stars. Got into a car accident while traveling, been waiting well over 2 hours for someone to come. 911 told us they’d send someone from this precinct, a help truck told us they’d send someone from this precinct, precinct 47, 43, and 49 told us that we were located in this precinct. Have called numerous times now; the guy on 45 keeps telling us that we’re not at their precinct and they will not send anybody. Outrageous. Still waiting.

Not all of the officers are bad, but I, a resident, do not feel comfortable being stopped and accused of doing something Im not and looked at like a criminal. Some try to trip you up. They are so desperate to just get anything on you, even though you are a good law abiding community member. I suggest responding to calls (a lot of people complain about wait time) rather than ticketing or searching an average guy going home. But I see that the NYPD is a massive corrupt revenue generation machine. Very annoying policing. I want to support our police, but you should not have to worry about going 30 MPH, or just being randomly stopped. I completely disagree with some of the negative, hateful sentiment the police gets from the media and protesters, but if you keep messing with good people they will start to hate you too.

I’m originally from NY but currently live in FL. My Boyfriend and I came up with our 2 younger kids for summer vacation before school starts back up next week in FL, so that they may see family and have some fun! My fam lives in Country Club so Sunday night we went into Manhattan with the kids to Time Square and a few other spots to sight see. On our way back which was about 1am we were hungry and decided to stop at White Castle on Tremont Ave. as we pull away and go under the EL Train and we get pulled over. 3 officers walk up to us with their flashlights blinding us and ask for DL and Registration. My BF proceeds to ask why we are being pulled over and is told we will tell you in a few. The guy to my side asks what we are doing here and we tell him we were hungry and wanted White Castle. The officer proceeds to say “ You drove to NY from FL to get White Castle!” Very sarcastically! I’m sorry that is unnecessary. So we turned and said “No we came to see Family for vacation and got hungry so we went to White Castle!” The officer then looked through the truck, asked where in NY are we from. I told him Country Club and my BF White Plains, have we ever been arrested, and again why are we here. He looked at our straws and truck like we were some Drug Addicts! I support our Men and Women in Blue completely. My husband before he passed away suddenly was in a similar field but did Government Security for Nuclear Power Plants and was a Trainer for licensing with Nuclear security, worked with the FBI and the Police down south in FL! But I must say I am completely upset and feel disappointed, disgusted and disrespected by how we were pulled over because we have FL tags and are out at 1:30am with OUR KIDS getting White Castle!... If you dont want people out getting food then don’t have 24hr restaurants!

Unfortunately, I cant leave 0 stars for a rating. Good luck if you get into an accident and call cops for a police report. Hit and run 7/6/17, got the guys plate number (HRH-1041 NYS, black male, black 2013 Acura TL, smashed front end, missing plate. VIN#19UUA8F56DA015040), no help. Even an off duty officer at the time, pulled up besides me and said she was also hit. Cops, not even the effort of running the guys plate who was at the time high, driving around the neighborhood. Waited 5+ hours (7:27pm-12:10am 7/7/17), cops never showed up. MIND YOU, THE LOCATION WAS LESS THAN A MILE, LESS THAN A 3 MINUTE DRIVE. Went to the precinct, no help but all officers outside having a good time by the sidewalks. I got home around 1:30am and recieve a call from police saying sorry. Now I have to pay out of pocket to get my brand new car fixed (driver side rear quarter panel/rear bumper) because of insurance issues. Lets put it this way, they cant show up because they want to hang out around the precinct, but theyre are QUICK at doing those illegal u-turns on Tremont Ave to catch up to me, giving me those window tint/exhaust summons no problem. Great, way to go 45, you guys are the best at what you do. Keep it up!

I called this precint six times to complain about loud music. My neighbor decided to throw a backyard party that looks like a club. The music was so loud that you could hear it a block away. My bedroom window was facing the backyard that I couldnt sleep with the loud and vibration noise of the music. I couldnt even go to the livingroom to sleep because the music noise was still very loud. I was furious at the cop that i called in this precinct and they seem not to care at all. He kept saying they are coming but they never showed up. The music been going on from 5pm to 2am. I started calling at 10pm and these people in this precinct did not care at all to even show up. I was disappointed to even think that if you live in throgsneck these cops will respond fast. I bet if you live in a rich area any cops would come fast but not here, basically screwed the bronx and minorities. I would love to give them 0 stars instead of 1. Imagine if you have kids and newborns in that environment. Its sad that sometimes for cops to respond fast you have to lie to them and exaggerate to get their attention. This precinct sucks!

Called the 45th when I was involved in a hit and run on the 95 south near the Villa Barone Manor exit. A Chevy truck rammed me and then continued driving, I got the plate and called the 45th. After two hours of them not showing, I decided to drive to the precinct to see the good for nothing pigs, they then informed me that nothing can be done as they fled the scene. I kindly replied, I have the plate, do you want to maybe run it to see if the car was stolen or if the owner is wanted or has warrants. Nothing. The officer said theres no use its not a felony to hit and run. Didnt ask if I was ok, if my occupants were ok, nothing. The 45 is a bunch of low paid officers who dislike their lives and careers and couldnt handle the real world so they got a few college credits and became a cop. Again, thanks for nothing.

Worst police station Ive every seen: bunch of racists, feeling very comfortable harassing white people right inside their precinct, not responding to 911 calls, ignoring crimes while driving right by - and all that is just what they do at the bright daylight. Maybe its time for NYC Commissioner to pay his attention to what is going on in his department!

Ive made several 311 complaints today on a loud disturbing noise that affected my grandchild sleep and I myself suffer from hearing issues So even the ear plugs didnt help and they never responded. Its disturbing that this system was put in place to file grievances and the responsiveness to such matters by 45th is a 0. We want to avoid to get into disputes with nierbors and call you for help and support and it just goes to trash. Ive filed other complaints and they falsified the report that I called the precint directly to confirm with me and they returned and I had to show them because they went to the wrong place. Noise is a serious quality of life issue as well as safety for it not to be taken seriously . 4 yrs ago I would file 311 complaints and the 45 pct responded quickly . Dont know if its because of leadership changes but this is totally unacceptable to us and the responsiveness needs to improve. Im sure the dept performance rating is being questioned? Ive dealt with an officer Rodriguez 4 yrs ago and he was great from the day shif and respond quickly to the 311 compliant. I Dont know if he has transfered but he was a true example of someone who cared about our concerns and made it his business to respond timely.
