Typically, these NY hotels do not look like they do on the advertised picture. However, THIS Marriott did not disappoint! The hotel looked great. Regardless of how crowded the lobby was (due to a couple large weddings being hosted there), Angie and Zadonna had excellent customer service which was unusual for a NY location in my experiences over the years. My room was spacious and comfortable and they remembered the extra pillows, towels and washcloths. It might not seem like much, but when you stay at hotels as often as I do, it means a lot! Ditmars restaurant was great as well. I ordered a filet mignon meal and it was cooked to perfection. The dessert was delicious as well. Thank you for a great experience!
Super close to the airport and there is shuttle service frequently. I didnt care too much for the quesadilla I got from the restaurant (too much on it, i should have asked for it on the side) and the heat/ac was making a weird noise but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean!
Super convenient to LaGuardia airport it’s a shuttle ride that takes about three minutes to get here. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes to and from the airport which is awesomely convenient. The restaurant has a nice selection of entrées and a very small beer menu but is adequate. The room is very clean and well appointed.
Nice place but front desk staff wasn’t great. There was a miscommunication between my dad and his hotel regarding how we went about booking the rooms. Once the Marriot hotel staff explained everything to us we understood, but they made it seem like I was trying to scam them, or didn’t have sufficient funds to pay for the place. I was not given any options or mentioned how to go about payments until they charged my card already. I was buying water and my card was not working and I was trying to tell them that my card has issues with swiping and that you may have to do it manually. The staff member said she doesn’t think that’s the issue but she will try and my card went through. They made It seem like I was untrustworthy or something. Some of the staff were nice but wish all of them were a bit more welcoming rather than making me feel impotent. The Customer service experience could have been better.
Hotel is beautiful. But sadly the people and staff are not. Receptionists and other workers were simply present but the manager I believe was an absolute rude and mean guy. Horrible service from his part. No clue what I did to deserve such disgusting behavior. He followed me around the entire building and I felt discriminated against. He treated me as if I wasn’t even human. I will not be going to any Marriott location ever again in my life if this is the standard. You guys need to do better.
After a long work week travel, staying here before my 6am flight back to the West Coast made my life easier, and gave me time to relax and refresh prior to my departure. The Hotel Staff was enjoyable and personable. I had a lovely dinner in the Bar, and my room was comfortable with a view of the city in the distance. The Host at the front assisted with all my questions, provided suggestions on when to get on the Free Shuttle, and lined up a wake up call for me. I had been bummed staying at the airport on my last night in NY, but having this experience at the Marriot left me in good spirits and excited to return. Fair Price, Lovely rooms, and a Free Shuttle to the airport, great savings!
This place was very Nasty and Discriminate only because I am Jewish came in to ask for a price in Sercutiy gurad ask me to lv. BTW I brought 2 drinks for almost 10 dollars I didnt do nothing. Probably this Sercutiy gurd comes from a third party country and now he could act not nice for Regular Americans born&citizens!
Definitely not worth the price that we paid for our room. Our room was over $200 for 1 night. The bathroom shower would not drain , it was broken, the water was brown, the shower curtain was stained. The Room beds smelt like mold , there were stains on the bathroom towels. There was no room service, staff was very rude. We were hoping to at least have a complimentary breakfast in the morning , but that was not the case. The restaurant in the hotel is horrible. It is extremely over priced. $40 a meal for something that isn’t even good. The breakfast was $20 and was cheap and rock hard, I couldn’t even get butter that was soft. The coffee Tasted old and burnt . Over all, was not a good experience and don’t expect to go back.
The hotel is clean and the staff was polite. We were off to a good start but it took more than an hour to resolve my neighbors that arrived at 12:15 and put on loud music for the two strippers and the dozen guys they brought with them. At one point someone was trying to break in the adjoining room door. At 1:30 the front desk offered to move my room (gladly) while they tried to resolve the problem next door but I really felt they should have extended the Courtesy of a half rate or refund my money as the room was expensive and I had to be out by 6 am. The party was literally a nightclub and and over an hour was a very long time to not have resolved the issue yet.
A few things, I wanted to have a microwave in one of each room. Because we hesitated to go restaurants due to COVID19. Just one microwave was on the floor at the public space. That was cheaper one.For free shuttle, my family was waiting 30mins because of flight crews advanced. If you want to use, you had better having an extra time. Finally, the shower was not enough having water pressure.Thank you,
After a late night canceled flight, this hotel had openings that we could just walk in and get a room for a few hours. The shuttle picked is up and also helped out a stranded family that was having difficulties getting a room. It was a quick check-in and the room was clean and comfortable. All the staff was helpful and friendly.
The hotel has declined significantly since I began staying in 2019. The customer service is variable, most recently was told by the employee at the breakfast counter he was too busy with meals to just provide me a coffee, and to get it from the front desk, but that list goes on. The cleanliness in the rooms and maintenance is that of a 2 star motel; most recently could not adjust the ventilation fan/ speed in the room, and had an alarm clock which time couldnt be set or adjusted and had a gummy sticky substance stuck to it (during the pandemic when touchable surfaces should be spotless), stay previous to that I found toe nail clippings on the floor at the end of the bed and on the bathroom floor along with hair in the shower.(room had to be recleaned)Complaints to the desk result in moving your room after youve just gotten in from travel and unpacked. Rates fluctuate from affordable to astronomically high for any hotel much less one given current stature of establishment. My stays there have gone from pleasant and recommended to others, to staying out of necessity due to location in terms of business and meetings in which Im involved in the general location of the hotel.
The location was perfect and the Hotel is clean and very nice. I was pretty disappointed I didn’t get my hotel points for my stay. There were a few other issues as well. I don’t think I will be back at this location again. But it is a nice hotel. It would have been nice if they offered some vegan items on the menu at the restaurant.
Positive: Our room was clean. And the driver of the shuttle was super kind. Negative: Front desk staff are rude, they dont care about quality of their work & they dont care about guests whatsoever. I didnt feel welcomed at all, no welcoming, no single kind word to guests. Front desk is face of the hotel, dont forget that.
Had a great one-night stay prior to a very early morning flight. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. It felt like hotel staff were really happy to have us there (or maybe we were just giddy not having traveled since COVID began). Airport shuttle was waiting to whisk us to LGA at 4:30 am. Hand sanitizer was available throughout the common areas and gloves were readily available at all elevator waiting areas. Only thing I might suggest are markings in the elevators themselves regarding spacing.
Its very clean and very close to the airport. I was only here for a short stay so I cant say much about anything other than the comfort of my room. The beds were good the pillows were more fluffy for my taste but of course thats only personal preference. The precautions taken for COVID are phenomenal. I felt safe in this hotel and I would stay here again.
I have stayed here on 2 separate occasions. Front desk acknowledges my loyalty. Customer service is excellent . Rooms are clean . Can be noisy at times depending on if events are going on . Free shuttle to and from the airport . Convenient & safe location. Never a problem with the elevators. The restaurant is average (although the French onion soup and drinks are above average). Hot breakfast in the morning for $20.00 is not worth it (exact breakfast you get for free at residence Inn) . Staff is attentive . I would return .
We paid for parking and there were instances where we had no parking. We were told to park in the streets, and if you are familiar with NYC, parking in the streets you could be many blocks away from the hotel. So they were expecting us to walk back to the hotel. I will never stay here again.
We used their ballroom, so far the place was nice, tidy, clean and the people who works serves nicely. We are like almost 25 people celebrating life of one of our closest friends. Waiters are very helpful. Social distancing and cleanliness were observe by all. Attendees and employees all wear mask.
Overall, the presentation of the room was slightly disappointing. The room had a minor (smoker) scent and the bathroom shower curtains looked dirty. The wall near the full body mirror had a yellowish stain on the wall. Maintenance needs to do a monthly check on the rooms because minor details matter from the viewpoint of the costumer. I called the front desk a few times in the night and it felt as though I was bothering them. The need to work in their hospitality skills.
Zadonna young needs to be fired . Very rude, and out of character. Never have I ever been excused of fraud. We tried to simply check in the hotel and immediately was excused if fraud and she refused to let us check in. We tried asking please tell us why we are being excused if fraud and she refused. I admit I got a little upset and shouldn’t have went back and fourth with her after the fact of accusing us, but that day was a very stressful day for both my girlfriend and I and we simply needed a place to stay for the weekend and she made it difficult by continuously integrating us. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT HOTEL!
We checked in really late and there was the receptionist named Erika she was really really rude and we always stay in Marriott and are IHG members and have never dealt with someone being so rude. Very unhappy with the service. There is no bellman or anything. Even though they advertise as a full service hotel lol terrible service terrible employees. But room was great and clean.
The hotel itself was average, the shuttle service was horrible! It took 45 minutes for pickup from the airport, the driver didn’t like us complaining and did not open the door upon arrival to the hotel, didn’t offer assistance with our bags. He was very unprofessional, no hospitality at all.
Comfortable, very clean, great breakfast, the hostess who did our breakfast was awesome. Im taking 1 star away for having to pay for parking $32-$50 (1 night)as paying guests. Ridiculous and Im a native NYer. Thats pretty wack. The front door security guard was super charming. Overall Id still recommend.
Overall a good experience, shuttle bus from Terminal B available upon request from courtesy phones at level 1 arrived very quick, driver and front desk staff very friendly. Room has all the amenities you need, restaurant open late and the food was very satisfying, for sure I would recommend it.
Extremely friendly and helpful front desk receptionists. They will take an extra step to help guests. The room is clean and spacious based on NYC standards. The beds are very comfortable to sleep on. The bus stop is just across the street from the hotel and offers easy access to Flashing. The hotel is just a short hotel shuttle ride to the airport. We had a very relaxing stay before we flew home the next day. Will recommend it without hesitation.
My stay was phenomenal. I was stranded due to weather and from the very beginning the staff were wonderful. I was travelling on business and this delay was extremely stressful, and I was short on sleep. The front desk was able to check me in early, around 1pm. They were kind and incredibly helpful, even going so far as to discuss my checkout options for the next day (late checkout at no charge if there were further delays in my travel plans). Their helpful attitude and honest caring took a weight off my shoulders and provided a much-needed positive boost. After a nap (such a comfy bed!), I decided to make the best of an evening in NYC, so I went down to get directions from the concierge. Both the evening front desk staff and the concierge were again amazing! They explained clearly how to get downtown, sold me a metro card and gave me a map, and gave me a few tips on where to go to get broadway show tickets. I couldn’t have asked for better people. Honestly, I came into the Marriott in the most stressful and despairing of moods, but within minutes the care of the staff helped me calm down. After a few hours and a nap in a great room, I felt refreshed. Finally, the staff’s knowledge and shared excitement about their city helped me have a blast that evening! What an incredible turn around of events. Thank you so much. I will stay here again anytime I’m in town.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I visited for a work event in the area. Im thankful for the management team stepping in to swiftly rectify a dispute. I really appreciate the management teams willingness and service to add their personal touch to the customer from a distance.
I had a voucher to stay here for the night since American overbooked my flight the previous day so I can’t speak on price, but the hotel room was a nice no-frills option close to the airport with its own shuttle which was all very easy and convenient to navigate! The employees were nice and everything worked well. Only complaint is that there was no information on the WiFi (like physically in the room on charges or services) and I tried to connect thinking it was free. I saw it charged for one of the WiFi’s and I exited out of that to look at the other WiFi name thinking THAT one was free since it showed no charges. I guess it had already charged me (I wish there was a confirmation page that asked “are you sure you would like to purchase WiFi?” so it was more obvious). So I paid $16 for WiFi for the night despite not needing it. I’m also conflicted that there isn’t a free WiFi option even if it was limited as that seems wrong? Anyways, beware with the WiFi as they will charge you for it.
I had seen negative and concerning reviews from a couple of years ago about this hotel, but I had also seen recent reviews of how updates had been made. All I know is that I was hoping for the best. When I walked into the lobby, it looked very modern. So I was pleasantly surprised. But the real test was the actual room itself. I must say, I was very impressed with the look of the room and the cleanliness! I stay at Marriott hotels allover the country and this was actually one of the better ones Ive stayed at!Please continue to keep up the quality of this hotel!
Front desk staff were so kind, funny and helpful. We had plenty of questions about pick ups, microwaves and the restaurant and they were more than willing to help us with a smile. The hotel is very up to date, clean and chic. The lighting in the room and the comfort of the bed and sheets was fantastic! Made it enjoyable to crawl in bed after a long day and wake up early to get ready for another. the gym was also great; very clean and cool with plenty of equipment to fit many typical workouts! Will surely be back to stay at this hotel!
I had a fantastic week and a half stay at this hotel. When I first got into my room, the fire alarm was chirping every couple of minutes. I reported it to the front desk and it was fixed within 10 minutes. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful no matter what it was. It made all the difference in my stay. The room and bathroom where very clean and I had no other issues.
I have been staying here for A month for work now,the longer I stay the worst it has gotten.I have used the laundry service thorough the hotel the whole time.Everytime I use them, they loose something and the hotel wont make it right.I have also had several other small problems as well,I have asked to speak to the manager, who will never contact me.When I made A complaint with corporate Marriott,I was told this is A franchise, and they did not hold them to there same standards.
I really enjoyed my stay. It was very convenient as it is very close to the airport. I was not able to get on my flight back home to Atlanta so I booked a room at this Mariott because it was close, and the facility is top-notch with friendly professional staff and the beds are extremely comfortable. The only thing I didnt like was the room lighting. It was too white and bright. I kind of felt like I was in a hospital with all the lights on. But other than that. I had a great experience. I enjoyed a delicious meal before bed and I got a good nights sleep.
As a designated essential airport worker, the recent snow storm in new york, made traveling to and from home more than a challenge. Thanks to all the professionals working at the Laguardia Marriott, my job was made easier, and safer. My colleagues and I thank you for a terrific stay. We will always choose Marriott hotels first.
It was my first experience in a Marriott hotel. Ive found the lobby very spacious and welcoming. The staff at the reception was very nice and accessible, particularly Deana. However, I didnt like the room because of its narrowness. In addition, it was not looking so clean: the bed sheets were not looking so fresh, there was some hair on the floor and water in the bathtub was not flowing well because of something (maybe hair) stuck in the evacuation hole. Even the breakfast was not so top!
Very nicely appointed and run airport hotel. Right next to the airport with very convenient shuttle service. Staff are friendly, thoughtful, and professional. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, always clean and with nice furnishings. Recent stay on the top floor was very quiet, with no airplane noise whatsoever. If youre flying out of LGA, especially in the early morning, its a very good option.
The initial reception at the front desk was a bit abrupt as off-putting however, the hostess became more friendly and helpful as we went forward in the check-in process. There were several other issues: wi-fi is free in the lobby but not the guest rooms; there was no complimentary breakfast (although it had been advertised); low heat problem in the room; non-working refrigerator. The maintenance staff were very attentive and worked to resolve the issues quickly. The room was clean, attractive and beds were comfortable. The Lounge areas were comfortable and conducive to socializing. The food was aceptable.
Very nice that the hotel remodeled after many years. It is now extremely modern looking in all areas of the hotel. The rooms are very nice and modern. No carpeting on the floors is a major plus. The food served at our conference was mediocre at best. This hotel is primarily used for flight attendants and those on business since it is close to LGA airport.
I have stayed at lots of airport hotels, so I had low expectations. This hotel thoroughly surprised me. It is undergoing a exterior renovation that it definitely needs, but ther interior is all well done. The entry is as inviting as the front desk staff is. The rooms are well appointed, the bed is comfy, the linens are nice, TV is huge, bathroom is fine, just a great overall feel. The food in the restaurant was actually great! We would definitely stay again!
We must say that this is the best airport hotel that we have ever stayed at. To start with, it is absolutely beautifully decorated, elegant looking, upscale hotel, modern and clean. The staff is kind and helpful, from the front-desk team to the housekeeping service. Their restaurant menu offers many tasty dishes, the salmon is top! We recommend this hotel highly! Another plus...their gym is open 24 hours!
I was on vacation with my family. The hotel even though it was under renovation was great. Our room was renovated and great. The staff was friendly and gave my kids great recommendations on what to do in the city. The only thing I would say that was not ideal was that the AC in the room was a very low cool only when we set the thermostat at a very low temperature. I would stay here again!
The hotel itself is under renovation. There is no on-site restaurant for the weary business traveler who just wants a quick meal before retiring. I had a renovated room that was nicely appointed, except for the shower head in the shower. Even though I was only on the fifth floor, the water pressure was too low to let the shower have a good spray.Even though I had already checked in on-line, there was no bypass to just pick up my room key. I had to wait over 20 minutes in a long line of people checking in, just to get my key.The biggest problem is not Marriotts fault. La Guardia airport is undergoing a reconstruction and the traffic patterns outside the terminals are a nightmare. Even though the hotel is only a few hundred yards from the terminals (as the crow flies), it took 30 minutes in the evening to be picked up by the hotel shuttle. The morning was worse, it took over 45 minutes for the shuttle to fight through traffic and even then had to drop passengers far from the terminals and let them walk to make it to their terminals.Once the hotel is renovated and the airport construction is finished, its likely that the property will be fine. For the moment, I suggest making other plans.
The hotel and room were very clean, super modern bathroom with a glass shower are all things I prioritize when I stay at a hotel. The hotel was quiet, I didn’t hear much if any traffic or planes. I had a weird room next to the ice machine but it only bothered me the one night when someone repetitively used it. The restaurant Ditmers had great food.
Outstanding hotel immaculately clean. I stayed at the hotel after some surgery in Manhattan and I was meeting my daughter at the airport the next morning to go home. I can’t thank the staff enough for helping me get inside and up to the room. I did call ahead an alert them that I would need more help and they were there every step along the way. The new rooms are beautiful. I like the hardwood floors because I think they’re cleaner than all the dust and things that gets spilled in the carpet’s. The food and beverage manager, and the assistant food and beverage manager exemplify excellence in quality and everything that they do. The front desk staff are courteous, well trained, and understand their jobs and want you to have a good stay. There appeared to be 24-7 security on the premises which is always good these days.
The service in the Steinway Restaurant was poor and slow. And when an apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream was selected for dessert, there was no vanilla ice cream to go with it. When it came time to pay and leave, I had to get up from the table, walk to the bar, and ask to pay there or locate my waitperson. . I wanted an herbal tea; there wasnt any. All the restaurant could offer was decaf Liptons. Ugh.The room was a bit tight for two double beds. The room faced a busy Avenue, so it was noisy all night. The mattresses were a bit softThe van service to the airport was excellent. The van was timely, and the driver was helpful. The porter also provided good service.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room was nice and clean. Great value for the price paid. My greatest moment came from my interaction with Gentry the restaurant manager who was bartending. He was extremely great, professional, patient and went above and beyond to get us what we needed though he wasnt the bartender. People like him is the reason why Marriott feels like home
The location of this hotel is great. I was able to park a couple miles away to get the subway to NYC. Only ten minutes from where I had to work. The staff were lovely. I stayed for 2 nights and the cleaning staff was superior. My room was very clean and I had a view of both the city skyline and planes landing at the airport.
Our flight was cancelled so we chose the LaGuardia Marriot to spend the night and catch an early flight out in the morning. It was a good hotel. The room was clean and newly renovated. The hotel is undergoing renovations so there was no bar or food services which was disappointing. We found the room to be hot and the beds werent great but it was just a quick stay.
This property is priced at a significant premium compared to surrounding hotels, and Im not sure why. Check in was good, the room was clean, but it had double beds (not queens) and the traffic noise coming through the closed windows was absurd. Our room overlooked La Guardia and the freeway, so this was definitely an issue. The airport shuttle was timely, and the driver friendly and helpful. Overall though, I wouldnt recommend staying here based on the surrounding hotel choices, and the quality of the rooms.
I did NOT want to be here - but my flight was cancelled. I was warmly welcomed by the Marriott staff, who found me a room and were very helpful during my stay. The experience calmed my frazzled nerves and helped make a difficult experience more pleasant and relaxing. The food was good (better than expected!), the fitness center is totally serviceable, clean, light and bright, the staff was really nice and the room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommend.
The only reason I am not giving this a 5 is because the attendant in the Lounge was VERY RUDE and in my opinion, the only role for a hotel is service and it should always be stellar. Sadly it was not. I used the internal app to tell them through chat what my experience was and nothing happened so I can’t say the chat app is a plus. What I did like are he renovated rooms! Tile floors throughout with a mini foyer great bathroom and bed. I would stay here again but they need to work on their employees attitudes.
Friendly staff meet you at the door of this newly remodeled hotel. Even being across street from LGA, still a silent night’s sleep. Clean and modern. Staff were helpful and had smiles on their faces. I travel to NY often, and will definitely stay here again. There really are not a great number of quality hotels near LGA. This is a good option!
The staff was wonderful. Did not like the location. The location made it easy to arrange transportation into ***hattan. The room was just lovely as expected at any Marriott. My room was clean and the conceige lounge was neatly kept. We ate the breakfast buffet and it was a great value for NYC and hot and cold selections abound.
They were super nice the moment we arrived. Rooms were clean, staff was overly friendly, especially room service and food was great. The shuttle to the airport was quick and easy. We had a HORRIBLE experience at the LaGuardia plaza next door to the point we left and checked in to this hotel. This is where we will continue to stay as we visit Queens often. 0
NYC is making sure you quarantine if you coming to visit. As soon as you leave your flight you WILL BE GREET BY USA FINEST - THE RESERVES😍. Please fill out the forms or if you did it online show them your screenshot and be on your mary way. If online you will receive an email informing you whether you need to quarantine or not. But please if you know youve been exposed quarantine and think about your family/ travelers/ neighbors/ friends/unknown friends to be 🙂. Be safe out there. Happy travels!!!
We stayed 2 Nights in this hotel. Room was little small than we expected; however, it was cozy. In term of cleanliness, little more attentions needed. Staff were friendly, very specific and helpful. No swimming pool...my kids had expected to have one. Parking was little expensive. WiFi inside guest rooms and computer usage on lobby could have been free with the moderately high room rate that we paid. Food was limited for people like us with various food restrictions. Nevertheless, enjoyed our stay till the end.
Nice updated hotel, it is stylishly designed. Great location for LGA! Free airport shuttle that has constant service, request upon need. Front dest employees were nice and accommodating. Staff at the restaurant not so much. We sat at a table for about 15 minutes without any acknowledgement so moved to the bar. It took another 5 minutes before the bartender helped us. I ordered wine which was not that good and a wedge salad that hardly had any tomatoes/cheese/bacon on it. My friend ordered a quesadillas which was good. I would stay here again and skip ordering food.
Me and my family constantly travel for both business and leisure, and we’ve stayed atthousands of different Marriott’s! This was the worst experience I have ever had! The room was dirty upon arrival, and when we asked to have someone come up they told us we must have done it and to deal with it! The people at the front desk were very rude! They constantly tried to argue over pointless things, like what time I left my hotel room on a certain day. They weren’t helpful in getting around to the city whatsoever! And they tried to hold my deposit upon checkout after they told me nothing was wrong with the room! If you are looking for a hotel, I highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn Manhattan/Times Square, Courtyard Manhattan/5th Ave, or Marriott east side! These have been some of our favorites and never disappoint! Even the Courtyard by Jersey City has been a great option, and close to the path trains into the city!
Here is my honest review. We stayed here for 4 nights. The Goods:-Brand new renovated rooms.-Great Friendly Staff-Good House keepingThe Bads:-Under Renovation and was advised.-The construction noise stared at 7am; extremely horrible!!-On the first night the AC vent was making loud popping noise was not able to sleep. They fixed this next day.-3rd night AC went down and there was a service call at 1am; lost sleep!-The lobby area was too dated and waiting for renovation.-No breakfast-Too much over priced for a hotel under renovation and facilities; especially when we pay CAD.Will go back for sure once the renovation is done and the price is decent
The folks at check in were nice and gave a great recommendation for dinner at the Marriott next door. My room was a bit outdated but the decor was pleasant. I would recommend staying away from room 1018 though, the air conditioner smells like somebody urinated in it. fortunately I was only there for 1 night and it wasnt too hot, I just left it off. Also, there is no bottled water in the room. If youre an honors member make sure you ask for it at the desk, I had to go back down.
The rooms are okay but it is hard to find a quiet area in the hotel. The location is right across the street from the airport with traffic and planes flying over the vicinity every 15 minutes. The second floor rooms smells like cigarette smoke. If you get a room on the opposite side of not facing the airport you will be near the heating and air conditioning units. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The room with the less noise I could find was towards the front of the hotel opposite the airport. The food in the restaurant was good. They only had one vegan dish. They have a wonderful staff member there his name is Gentrey, he will truly help you if you have a problem.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff was excellent, and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. Everyone at front desk and in lobby area is friendly, someone is always available to greet you as you walk in or out of the hotel, and ask if you need assistance with anything. Breakfast buffet price was a little high, but they offered a nice selection and the food itself was very good, especially the french toast! The offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. Only downside was that you basically have to take a taxi or Uber to get anywhere from the hotel, or have a rental car. Otherwise, it is well situated and was a very nice property.
My office held an all day meeting in one of the conference rooms. The space was comfortable and attractive, though we did have a little difficulty with the climate control. The food and beverages provided were all delicious. There is ample, paid parking with direct access to the hotel. For our event, the staff provided paid parking vouchers for attendees that drive.
I choose this hotel because we live in Boston and my daughter was flying out of LaGuardia and had to be there at 7 AM. The hotel staff were terrific. From my initial encounter with the front desk staff to the staff in the restaurant and the airport shuttle, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Plus the food was great. I love coffee and their coffee was terrific. They made my trip so much easier. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Older big guy that helped us check in was absolutely terrible, was speaking on the phone while checking us in and gave us no information whatsoever. Luckily the other employees were able to provide assistance as needed. Fire the big guy, totally rude and useless. Room service was bad although rooms are gorgeous. No comb, complimentary water, and they dont refill your coffee condiments for some reason. Big guy working the front desk totally ruined my experience . Also note this hotel is far some absolutely everything, would not recommend
Comfortable, clean, great service, and newly renovated rooms at great prices. Super close to LGA with great shuttle service. The front desk staff is always super busy, but super pleasant around the clock. The bar and lobby are really great too. Breakfast bar is a little pricey, but very convenient. This will be my go to hotel for when I stay in the area!
We had an overall good experience. All of the staff were accommodating and helpful. We had some issues with our room type that were resolved adequately. I was given a room with a king bed for 4 guests but was able to give that room to my parents. They then gave me a room with 2 double beds. I was under the impression that I would get 2 queen beds so that was a little disappointing. The rooms were clean and up to date.
I found this hotel better than the one I usually stay at across the street. There was ample parking and the desk staff was friendly and courteous. The room was comfortable and perfect for my needs. The only issue was my A/C did not work well to cool off the room. I did not report it because the room had a small window I was able to open to let in cool air so I managed just fine. I am certain if I had reported the problem, they would have been able to resolve it in a jiffy but it was after midnight and I was too tired to deal with it. Overall, I will stay here again.
Lovely spacious rooms with firm beds. Slept very well. The dinner buffet was delicious. Three main course options fish, chicken, and vegetarian all looked appetizing. Soup, salads, and deserts all superior. After dinner coffee was Starbucks.Every staff was so courteous and pleasant. Over all my favourite hotel out of my trip. Last was definitely not least here.
Check in was quick and competent. Our room was very clean and orderly. We appreciated the extra attention to detail with bedding and bath. Our stay was quiet and undisturbed throughout the night, after long hours of working each day (we were presenting at the New York Hall of Science close by). The restaurant food and service was really good. We both had the NY Ruben and the NY cheesecake dessert ... twice! Even the background music in the bar/restaurant was well chosen and non-intrusive (at least when we were there). You have no idea how much we really appreciated the onsite parking. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. It was a great experience that added to a great weekend. We will be back next year.
Very nice hotel, great staff, clean and well appointed, seemed to be recently redone with new carpets and fixtures. We especially enjoyed dinner at the hotel bar and grill. Our server, Marvin was exceptional. It was very conveniently located near the airport, which was great, since our flight had been cancelled and we were flying there next morning. All in all a great experience!
Front desk representative Zadonna Young does not understand the definition of customer service. The hotel is close by and comfortable, we stay here all the time but because of her customer service skills it was a terrible experience. She is a very nasty individual. When a group of us walked in she greeted us with where are yall going? How about excuse me can I help you? For a hotel business hospitality is everything and this is how we get we treated. Unacceptable. She needs to take a basic customer service training course or this hotel will lose alot of business.
5 stars+After spending 5 days in the Long Island area I finally had by far my best meal of the trip at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott, Empire Lounge. The bar tender was very friendly and the chef personal served my meal and looked forward to my feedback which was extremely positive. The room was very clean/comfortable and for a person with sleep issues, I slept quite well. Staff at the front desk, shuttle driver and your security personnel were very helpful and friendly. A very positive experience not what one from Canada was first expecting in NYC. A definite return customer if Im ever in the area. Definitely recommending to friends, family and business associates.
The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable Marriott bed, however my room lacked climate control because the heat option didnt work. After a long day of travel, I was hoping to just relax when I arrived at the hotel at 7PM. Instead I hosted a hotel maintenance man. He was polite and professional and tried for an hour to get it to work. When he could not repair, he brought me a small space heater to use. I really just wanted to relax, but could not because there was someone in my room.Climate control of a hotel room is something that is important to me and was not available during my stay
Our flight was cancelled last minute around midnight. We were greeted with excellent customer service, the ladies at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There were 3 guest and the last available room was 1 king bed, without us asking, one of the ladies brought up a roll away bed. We didnt even think to ask for roll away bed! I appreciate the amazing customer service and hospitality!!!
The hotel is a little outdated need some improvements on their heating and cooling system. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. Hotel will be doing renovations beginning February hopefully this will fix some of the problem with the heating and cooling system and updates in the bathroom and lobby. It average at this time hopefully will be better in the future, parking is expensive for guest stay.
Upon entering our room, we immediately could feel the room was warm. We turned the thermostat down prior to leaving room for dinner. When we returned, the room was the same warm temperature. We called maintenance and were told that the cooling systems had been turned off the season. The maintenance worker confirmed the same when he took the vent off and looked inside with his flashlight. He also told us to open the window!! REALLY! At the airport and in NYC. Unfortunately we had no choice but to open the window. Our room looked like Times Square on New Years Eve! Not to mention the constant sirens from emergency vehicles all night. If your purpose is to get a good nights sleep prior to traveling, do not stay here. Another footnote - Their M club food selections are mediocre at best!
I was very pleased with how attentive and helpful the entire staff was. The restaurant was a little small with more on the basics to eat on the Menu, its not a palace I would go if I lived locally for a nice meal, though the food was good. More than adequate for an overnight air port hotel. There perfect for a few hours of shut eye when you need to get an early flight in the morning.Ill be sure to use this Marriott the next time I need a room and Parking for the next trip I take out of that LaGuardia.
The hotel has been updated inside and out and is really beautiful and very functional. The bar offers a great selection, is welcoming and open late. The breakfast options are a hot or a cold buffet. If you want just a bagel and coffee you must pay for the entire cold buffet at $18 plus. So bring an appetite to breakfast.
Super close to the airport, clean, modern decor and friendly staff. The beds are really, really comfortable too! I havent eaten in the restaurant but others have told me its good but pricey of course, its New York. They have an Airport Shuttle that runs continuously but give yourself some extra time because theres some construction going on at the airport and will be for quite some time, not a lot of time maybe an extra 15 minutes to account for sitting in traffic.A NEW LGA Airport is being constructed.Otherwise, a good choice if you need to be near the airport.
Attended a holiday party here in the banquest hall. All staff I encountered were very friendly and welcoming, banquet hall itself was clean and updated. Great open bar, and good buffet food. Location is in a congested area, but if traveling at night there will be no problem with traffic. Would recommend!

2022-04-28We arrived at hotel after a long day of traveling and unable to make flight connections. Delta put us up there. The hotel is huge and lobby is nice. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant and bar was very pleasant. They sent us to a room on the first floor where the room/beds were not clean. I called the front desk and explained the situation. They moved our room to a higher floor and everything in that room was better. It was a cleaner and more spacious room. We were a couple, and they still gave us two queen beds.

2022-02-18I have had a couple of excellent stays at the hotel. The hotel has a shuttle every 15 minutes to and from. It is walkable from the airport. The food in the restaurant is good. Breakfast and dinner were both pricey but reasonable. Rooms were nice and clean and the front desk staff was very friendly to me. I would stay here again.

2022-04-03I am a repeat customer for this hotel. They offer great friendly service, and the rooms are clean. I wanted to give 5 stars for the rooms, but the rooms always run on the warm side. I had forgot most of the rooms do offer and functioning window which if I had remembered I could have opened it to cool down the room to my preference. Also, the mattress on this visit was not Marriott quality - it was a thin cheap mattress - but new.

2022-04-04Positive: Our flight was canceled so we needed a last-minute hotel near the airport. This was perfect. Had a bar/restaurant for added convenience. And we took advantage of the free hotel shuttle. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.

2022-04-13The customer service was outstanding. Josh at the front desk is always welcoming and kind. Jennifer in the restaurant is very sweet and attentive. Thank you for making my stay feel like a home away from home.

2022-04-14This hotel would rather sell parking spots to park n fly customers instead of reserving them for hotel guests.Ready to potentially have to walk 6 blocks in the beautiful streets of East Elmhurst, with trash bags on the sidewalks after parking anywhere that you can find? Stay here. The rooms are typical aloft, and the ladies at the front desk are nice and kind.I would not repeat this one.

2022-07-01I want to love this hotel, but I cannot.Pros: Close to the airport, Rooms are clean and newly renovated, Have internet TV which is very important nowadays.Cons: My room was directly facing the busy freeway, Im on the 5th floor, is it super noisy whenever a car passed by, I couldnt sleep well at all!Even though there are more pros than cons, but theres no point how well the room or the customer service is if customer couldnt sleep well in a hotel. Not recommended. And Im not coming back.

2022-01-27If I could give zero stars, I would. There is literally nothing good to say about this place! The staff is some of the most rude people Ive ever met, the hotel is subpar at best, rooms are not clean, things are broken, the room cant be cooled down.. the list goes on. Save yourself a ton of money and stay somewhere else for half the cost. Ive spent roughly 500 nights in the past 2 years in a hotel, and this place is at the bottom of the list. At this point, if they offered me a free room, and paid me to be here, Id turn it down.

2022-02-22Some staff are friendly, others downright rude. One woman at the desk was unbelievably rude to a senior member of my team. It was unwarranted. My company spent A LOT of money there in the past weeks for employee stays and conference room space... I dont doubt it will be the last time they do...
