Very welcoming atmosphere. They are LGBTQIA2S+ welcoming, accepting, and friendly. An amazing church that allows you to be your true self and still be able to worship The Lord our God

I think that this church is antisocial. Not one time on two separate occasions has anyone greeted me or even said welcome. The Greeters at the front door didnt even say Happy Sabbath, they just ask us for our vaccination cards, and allowed us in. Not nice at all.

A great vibrant and diverse community of believers. I was greeted several times by different people on my first visit and felt comfortable and safe within just a few weeks. I have stayed for those reasons and probably even more because of the community groups and the level of spiritually centered activity outside the church between members and in the various ministries that allow me to get involved in the larger community outside the church. No community is perfect (until Jesus comes)... but this community has been perfect for me and my spiritual walk at least :)

Family like atmosphere, great music and deep Bible study.

I have been attending Advent Hope since 2010. I moved to the city in 2008 and did some church hoping. I am normally an out-going person but when not in my comfort zone I am a bit reserved. The first few times I went to Advent Hope I kept to myself but a few people did introduce themselves to me. I did not feel unwelcomed but I did not feel an immediate connection either. I continued to attend as I really enjoyed the sermons by former Pastor Tony Romeo. After a few months I decided to get involved and that is when I began to make Advent Hope my community. Everyone has different experiences and first impressions but it takes a while to build real connection and community. Since I started regularly attending and getting involved I have made some of the best friends and meet some really amazing people. It is a very diverse and welcoming community that strives to nurture members and visitors and also make a positive impact in the community.

Overall the church is managed well and invests in the community it serves through events and programs held on Saturday and other days of the week. I moved to New York about a year ago and was able to immediately become engaged in the community through greeting and the community groups (a program that allows people to engage with smaller groups based on related interests). Looking forward to continuing my contributions to the growth of this church!

I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that it is extremely intimidating to attend different churches with the hope that you will feel welcomed and accepted into their family.I moved to New York City a little over a year ago, and really wanted to find a church that I could call home. This congregation has allowed me to experience nothing short of that. Its diverse, accepting, and intentional. Im forever thankful.

A deep-rooted culture of humility, understanding, openness, intentionality, and respect. A congregation of diverse backgrounds and interests sharing a common purpose through God. This church has seen people bloom within its walls and is a place of comfort in the city. Forever grateful!

Started going to AH in the summer of 2013 and have been here ever since! The community is awesome, especially the two small groups that I am a part of (coffee crawlers & donuts anonymous). Ive met some really life long friends here. The services are Ah-mazing!!! Absolute best part is the singing!!!
