The park is much cleaner compared to years ago. Looks family-friendly and theres even a dog run.

Definitely great academic institution for those who wants high quality undergraduate education. I have many friends who graduated from there , I personally have some experiences there as well.I guess the only concern would be high tuition. If you got enough financial aid , go ahead. NYU is one of your best choices.

It has an open campus. When you go out of any building you are directly in NYC. Which is really cool. Faculties are really awesome. Lots of events and activities to socialize. Everyday here is new!

Great school! I loved Bobst library and the gym/pool on 14th street. I always look back at my experiences here for undergrad with fondness.
I got in and Im sure its an amazing school, but its just way too expensive and they werent too helpful with financial aid for someone with a relatively low income. I have mixed feelings about NYU because it was and still is a dream school of mine, but they dont seem to care too much about people who arent rich and can actually afford to go here. Im applying here again for grad school, so hopefully its a more pleasant experience.

As an Alumni, I have a special place in my heart for NYU. This is a great school for students that are looking for a top-notch education in a city environment. The campus is definitely a city setting. When you step out of your dorm or classroom buildings, you are on the streets of NYC.

My daughter is attending NYU, class of 2020, as parents we are very much convinced that this is an awesome school worth every penny. The professors and staff are wonderful and as per tuition it may be expensive but my daughters education is worth every penny. If there is one thing you can give your children in life is a good education which is why NYU is the school for us.
Professors here are great. Also the facilities are good as well. Located in a busy place, the plus is you can get away from school and go shopping right to Soho, the down side is its not as quiet as a university should be. Btw, Washington Square Park is a great place to be if you want to get closer to nature and talent musicians. Located in New York City, you have many chances to meet different people and have great opportunities for business and so on, but also you need to bear with crowds and noise etc.

I am so sorry I did not go to college. I have been praying for my girl to get in for the coming September. Her dream is to attend NYU, and her passion for the arts is sincere and well desrving of the best educational experience possible for a person who has the talent in dance, singing, songwriting, acting, and the ability to play several instruments without any professional training. I have to keep the positive thoughts flowing...prayers going,and I believe that she is going to make it. Shes always been my miracle....Please God, grant her this one.

It’s an overpriced school in the middle of the city… the classes and professors are not any better than a public state or city school, you’re just paying for the name. If you want to be in the city for school, there are much better and cheaper options.
This is a nice place to visit. The library is huge with a great books collection. They also have historic manuscripts from some of the works of all renowned authors.
Our daughter just graduated from NYU, we were here for several graduation events. They were all nicely done and the administrative staff & Professors were very nice and very helpful.
I had the time of my life at New York University. It’s one of the best schools in the country offering an outstanding learning experience with everything you can imagine in New York City. It was an exciting experience living and studying at NYU. I lived on campus in the NYU dormitory on Washington Square Park before moving into my own apartment on Fifth Avenue close to classes at NYU. My father rented a very cool 😎 apartment for me suggesting I should try to find a roommate to help defray expenses. Luckily NYU is full of students in need of housing so I had no difficulty finding a roommate for my absolutely wonderful New York City apartment. After becoming friends with countless foreign students, I became engaged to a math major from another country. He worked at Cartier to supplement his scholarship to NYU, getting a 50% discount from Cartier. He bought me an engagement ring 💍 making me very happy 😊. We enjoyed our lives at New York University, enrolled in different schools and meeting for dinner when we had the time. Local restaurants in New York are absolutely amazing 😉 and can easily tempt you as an NYU student, as can all activities in this fabulous city. We established time restrictions in order to focus on our studies 📖 at NYU because it’s tempting to enjoy the New York City campus all too often. NYU is an excellent university affording a unique 😉 university experience.

Honestly, I dont think Id ever choose another college over NYU. It simply has everything. You have the whole city at your fingertips. You just have to choose to utilize it in the best way possible for you. New York is big enough for you to find anyone you want, but also large enough that you can just blend in if you want. I cant imagine going to school in a boring old college town. So far Im loving it.
I studied here and dont regret the invested time and money at all. Am still in touch with some classmates and exchange ideas or just stories. A great range of courses for everyone.
This is an urban school, not suburban. Dont go there if you are looking for a social life instead of an academic life. I went there because the teachers worked in the fields they taught.

Ive earned two degrees at NYU and worked there for 23 years. Im invested.
Too expensive. About to get my degree though. I give 4 or 5 stars to everything but anything money related. They get negative stars for that if that is possible. They promised me that my financial aid and scholarship wouldnt be affected. It was a big lie. I took classes in Poly, Stern and CAS. Great education.
From an academic standpoint, this school is top notch. Some professors are lacking, but most are very knowledgeable and will offer to help. Its just that most of the faculty Ive encountered are either leaders in their field or those who are engaging in other work and both types of people dont want to be bothered by stupid freshmen and sophomores who didnt bother trying to learn anything on their own. Im pretty sure college is supposed to give you, if nothing else, the ability to be a self-starter, i.e. on who can learn things on their own. NYU excels in that respect. Theres also an amazing city that every 21-year old and student w/a fake can enjoy, which simply pales most other experiences by comparison.
I love this scholl I do not attend it but I go here all the time to do gigs, they school is big but I been here so much I know my way around, the security guards are nice and the stundents are too. The area is really nice and they have alot of places to shop and eat and also nice parks to chill in.
I went here to visit my friend who was on internship, she had an amazing time here! She loved the psychology department and English as well. Im now Im attending here and I love this school! Im studying for psychology and Im now planning to study in London!

NYU has made it clear they only care about money. Tuition is high, but more importantly, financial aid is poor unless you are a “underrepresented minority”. When asked for help with most things, you have to go through a long, convoluted process. Administration makes top dollar. President makes 2 million a year, while the former president got an interest free loan for a summer vacation home.

I love the school, and its somewhere I want to go, but my rating is more on my campus tour experience. They probably talked about academics for a total of 10 minutes the entirety of the tour, and maybe dedicated 45 minutes to their study-abroad program. My entire tour was spent hearing about how amazing NYC is, how diverse NYC is, how NYC is your campus, and how they have campuses in two other countries. I learned nothing that wasnt common knowledge or I could get from a quick google search of the school. I didnt get to see a dorm room, only saw one classroom, didnt get to see the library(although we did get to go inside of the hall leading up to the library as if that means anything), didnt even get to see a dining hall. I understand that the diversity, culture, and big city/big apple experience is an important selling point for the school, but its also important to inform the people who went out of their way to visit your campus about clubs, ACADEMICS, teachers, dorms, and the things that actually matter. I went to that tour to become more informed so that Id finally be able to 100% say that this is the school I want, but I left more confused, with a bunch of subjective facts of importance.

This is a great University for people who are seeking new adventures in their lives. And I am not talking about tuition fees, BIG NO! :D When I was visiting NYU, I payed attention to their location. It is located in the heart of NYC which is a big advantage, because many sights are near and you can go wherever you want. Another BIG advantage of location is that all subway trains are near the main building. NYU contributes with many other international universities, so if you get there, you can apply for the summer internship in another country which is great, isnt it? Campus life is perfect too. As NYU is located in the center of Manhattan, it maintains the great atmosphere of Big Apple. Just come over to Washings Square and will see this. I am an applicant 2019-2020, and I did the research about famous alumni. By the way, my congratulation to NYU with NEW OSCARS WINNERS! Everyone knows Alec Baldwin, Lady Gaga, huh? So you are in reliable hand if you are studying there. Why NYU is a great choice for PRE-MED students? I have reasons why. 1) Medical school. After graduation from NYU, you can attend their own medical school which is one of the best in the USA 2) NYU Langone Hospital. You can get internship and residentship there which is great because it is easier mentally to go to the same schools as always change your Universities from Bachelors till Doctors job. So, you are absolutely NYU buddy after passing all this way! Strongly recommend to visit New York University!
20 years ago NYU was cutting edge,...recently I returned to support my daughters enrollment process and was speechless. My daughter is a very respectful, quiet and educated student. The university serves somewhat an opposite agenda.I had faith in the quality I once knew yet, my daughter was apprehensive. After we had lunch and went to a movie she decided the violence and inequality was overbearing. Sorry NYU, there seems to be an integrity shift.The Castles

This is where my grandmother, Alice Elliott Lindsley, graduated from in 1921, with a teaching degree in elementary education. She was an elementary school teacher at a public school between Madison and Monroe Streets. Today, at 200 Monroe Street, that site is currently University Neighborhood High School. She taught primarily Italian children, from 1921 to 1923. She commuted from Morristown, NJ each day, by way of steam engine on the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western (DLW) to Hoboken, then ferry to Barclay Street, and finally a street car across Canal Street to the Lower East Side! Essentially, NYU is an ambitious school with greedy corporate intentions first and educating privileged and wealthy students second. Why ambitious and greedy? NYU seeks to build an empire around the world by establishing campuses in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi and sites around the world by charging high tuition rates and offering low financial aid to talented students who need it most. To mention some of the good things, there are some good individuals with good intentions, including some professors who genuinely care about the education of the students.
I love this school! Anything youd come to New York for is within an arms reach and that makes it the best place for when you invite family over.

It is hard to interact with more people that hate their jobs than if you were a student at NYU. The Brooklyn campus is especially egregious, most people in Manhattan at least try to pretend to care at least some of the time.

2020-12-26Its a great institution, but their alumni are often saddled with massive debt. But hey, its an awesome school. If you have money, its definitely worth it to live in NYC, party, and go to school. Their programs are top-notch.

2021-02-14If it wasnt already called Washington Square Park, it would called NYU Park, as the campus almost completely surrounds it. Made up of multiple buildings and dorm housings, it also has a ton of restaurants and small businesses surrounding it.

2022-03-22Like the campus, but diversity can be better. For instance, many of the students in NYU Stern are East Asian or Caucasian, which is not idea for a school that prides itself on diversity and having an international presence.

2022-02-20My cousin spent +$200,000 dollars on tuition at this University and earned a bachelors degree in English. He applied for a job at a public library to be a librarian and they told him he wasnt qualified for the job.

2021-11-23The city is its campus. Beautiful buildings. Bright welcoming and well cared for students. So much diversity and freedom. Washington Square and The Strand Bookstore.
