Beautiful stuff, but the sales people are a whole other story. I wont say anything more, but the yes to the dress! The clothes are only what Im going to review here because I am not a negative person and I believe in focusing on the positives. The pluses are the clothes are amazing.

1st time a vintage shopping in NY & this is definitely a high end vintage store.The ladies were nice even though I was just window shopping. It would be nice if they had a waiting chair or 2 for the husband or boyfriends tagging along.
This is where to go if youre looking for true vintage- $1000 Edwardian lawn tea dresses, period rentals and the like. Mix of other eras is hit or miss, but everything they do have is excellent and nothing is newer than 90s. Rather lacking in brandy brand accessories and shoes like Chanel and Hermes, but there are enough other shops for that. On one hand the help is old fashioned and overbearing; on the other hand one absolutely requires that level of service to walk away with an LBD that fits and flatters, for example. These high end vintage shops are not DIY places for good reason! 4/5 stars just because it really used to be the temple but the last ten years have given way to stiff competition and it shows in the selection. Still a huge fan.

It’s now called Westpfal and sells boutique leather goods. Also has on-site knife sharpening which is a pretty rare find.
Nice collection but zero interest in advising or helping the customer. It’s like they don’t care about selling

2022-07-06Beautiful store, amazingly curated and the most knowledgeable, helpful staff! The best vintage store in NYC hand down, possibly the world! Highly recommend! I was floored at their collection, and the staffs knowledge on everything. excited to go back and buy more beautiful things.

2022-07-17Walked in the store with my boyfriend. My boyfriend went in front of me and the first thing the lady behind the counter says is “The store is for women!” and then realized I was trailing behind him. Never have walked into a store before with a greeting like that… Walked right out the door after hearing that comment. Completely unprofessional and rude.

2022-07-25My daughter loves vintage clothes and was looking forward to finding some awesome clothes, however the owner/worker has a Doberman Pinscher dog that got loose from owner/ worker and attacked my daughter!!! So please beware, dog is not friendly!!!!AlSO, WORKER WAS UNAPOLOGETIC afterwards!This was a very traumatizing experience for my daughter, and this dog should not be allowed around customers!!!!!!!! And the lack of concern and compassion that was shown for my daughter was odd and speaks loudly about the lack of customer service !!!!!

New York vintage goes above and beyond!Thank you to all the fun dress up days/ night and for always making me look so incredible.Ps. If you’re lucky enough to get a peak at the archives upstairs consider yourself royalty!

2021-04-03I really enjoyed shopping here! The staff was friendly and helpful. Some things were quite expensive, but some were very affordable. I purchased a Chanel blouse for under $100 and wear it all the time! Lots of their pieces had history behind them that justified the price. Will definitely be back next time I visit the city.

2021-10-20Huge fan of NYV. Runway, vintage, one-of-a-kind pieces constantly being curated by an owner who is just pure “wow.” Staff is amazing also. It’s just one of those hidden treasures that you secretly want to keep all to yourself but then you love it and the people so much you remember sharing is caring. Yep. Went there. Shop local. Sustainable. Yay.

2019-06-06I was very happy with the kind, caring service I received from Shannon and her staff. And recommended her to many of my friends, She is honest, and will give you a fair price .
