This store has the largest collection of all things pop culture. Pops, comics, clothing, accessories, anything you want. The staff is normally nice and the store is very big. The prices are all reasonable too

Love this place - their manga section is always well-stocked and they have sales pretty frequently. It’s hard for me to leave here without buying something!!! There’s lots of other cool stuff here too - squishmallows, funko pops, records, posters - something for everyone here!!

I purchased a record on black friday as a gift for Christmas. The record did not sound right and I attempted to return the record. They would not give me a refund and refused to exchange it since it had been opened. The manager could not have cared less he sold a defective product.
Loved this store. Plenty of hobby figures and kits. In fact there were many stuff that I couldnt find in dedicated hobby shops. The comics on the other hand were on the lackluster side... things were organized in a way that was hard for me to find ( different from any other comic stores Ive been to at least).The store is pretty large and staff were helpful, but not the friendliest I have seen judging by my experience shopping at other comic shops and stores in general.I will visit again should I get the chance, but planet comics remains my favorite.
I really like this store. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I am so glad they have new releases for the current books. They dont have back issues, however they do move the books around in order to make room and place the new releases. In addition, I really enjoy their Funko pop collection if you are a Funko pop collector this is the place to visit. I am definitely one who is pleased I can come there to buy my books there. They sell vinyl records, different T shirt designs. James, the store manager is very helpful and also is an artist. During these tough and difficult times come out and support this store. I am definitely one who is pleased and visit this store at the Palisades Mall.
They have a wide variety of funko pops and a bunch of generic stuffed animals, mugs, t-shirts, vinyls and more! And they also have Harry Potter stuff and changes with the trends.

If youre going to call yourself something with Comics in the title, the expectation is that the store isnt going to be 90% merch (t-shirts, records, random unrelated books, etc.) and 10% comics/graphic novels/manga.Newbury Comics may be a shop well stocked in these other items but going in expecting a good selection of comics, as one would given the name, one is left sorely disappointed. The back wall, maybe half of it, was it for single issues and the manga selection was mediocre at best, but hidden at the back as well.The randomness was annoying as well. Having related merch, such as Neil Gaimans published books make sense when selling his comics, but the kitschy books were taking up shelf space that could have been taken up by COMICS.

2022-04-11Love all the pops, anime books, etc. but when I shop there I’m not there to listen to Cardi B blasting over the speakers. How inappropriate especially with younger children in the store. New batch of workers should know better and it’s not a hangout spot for their friends either. Totally put me off going there again for a long time.
