New favorite hair salon. Always a avoided the city to cut hair because of price but New hair was great and very affordable. The pricing was very reasonable for the service I got. I haven’t cut my hair since the lockdown and it was getting out of control but Mew hair managed to fit me in their schedule. i believe my stylist name was Namoo? She had blue hair and she was awesome. Gave me the best service I received for my hair. I’m the type that doesn’t know exactly what I want but knows what I don’t want. And she was able to figure it out by small littler explanations. Definitely coming back. Thank you!
Amazing Stuff, stylish salon, great hair cut! My stylist was Iryna and she did such an amazing job with my car and bangs. My hair finally look so healthy and beautiful!
No vibe, no trend, no style but Zirka (the hair specialist) is amazing.Also, they give you a pillow for your back while washing your hair :)
Though I rarely write reviews, Ive never had my hair professionally cut before this year and coming to New Hair is always such a lovely experience. The stylist I work with, Tiffany, is so skilled and knowledgeable about hair. Shes trustworthy and takes time to make sure your styling is exactly as you were imagining it to look. And in general, the staff at New Hair are super sweet and attentive and its always a genuinely relaxing and therapeutic experience.
Tiffany is magic! She takes the time to listen and understand what youre looking for, but also will give suggestions for what hair style would look best for you! Shes by far the friendliest stylist Ive ever been to and it doesnt go unnoticed that she takes the time to get to know you and connect with you on a personal level. Highly highly recommend going to Tiffany!
You can never fail your hair with NewHair NYC. My stylist is Lena who is awesome and guiding best color. She is really friendly and kind. I have done 2 hair color and hair cut. If you are unsure in which hair salon to pick, I strongly recommend this one!
Honestly, I never write reviews because it takes too much time, but after my haircut from Namoo I couldnt help myself.I never had long hair before, so when I came in I didnt know what kind of haircut I wanted. But after our consultation, I felt very comfortable about our decision.The whole experience was wonderful and the haircut was amazing. Not only was it a great haircut, but the weight of my hair got so much lighter. I highly recommend Namoo if you can!

Finally found my go-to hair salon in NYC after living here for almost 6 years! My designer was Tiffany, and shes the best! Shes so sweet, kind, professional and thoughtful. I had no idea about how I wanted to cut my hair even until the moment that I sat on the salon chair lol. She recommended style that suits with me the best, and Im so in love with my hair now! Ive got so many compliments on my new hair. Strongly recommend! :)

This guy called Eddy gave me the worst haircut in my life. Did not follow instructions, poor technique. If you’re an Asian men, you don’t want to come here for a haircut.
This place is amazing! I texted their number for appointment and I was able to get a slot in 15 minutes. The salon is big and spacious with beautiful furniture, mirrors and dyson hair tools. Jimmy gave me an amazing wash and massage, they used violet shampoo for my hair color and the products smell amazing he was also gentle with my extensions. I had a blow out with kikoo and another stylist actually joined her , they were both gentle and blow dried my long hair fast. They didnt pull too hard and they paid attention to every setail and parted my har and layers exactly how I wanted. My hair was sleek shiny and frizz free with good volume. They also used hot iron to make my hair pin straight with no damage and they used great serum to finish my hair. The girls are all so friendly and follow all covid protocols. My blowout and style was $70 which is expected for long extension customers . You can use venmo to tip and deposit and they have atm machine with only $1 fee. I cant wait to return here
I had a pleasant experience at New Hair Salon.The place is kept well clean, they respect all the Covid safety measures and the staff is very friendly.I felt right away a good connection with this well designed Salon especially with my Hair Stylist Lorenzo.I asked him some suggestions for a changing of style and he give me a couple of good recommendations that could fit my feature.I trusted him and I do have to say that I am glad did.My new look is amazing, my hair are so soft and the price for it was fair and right.I will definitely go back!!

You can really tell the quality of service you’ll receive here by the first phone call. From booking to finish, the entire experience was amazing! Felt super safe, which is a top priority for me right now. My stylist Claire was so sweet and she colored my hair exactly how I wanted it and more!! Can’t wait to come back and try new things.

I’ve been coming here some it’s opening a few months ago and I get the same great quality of service and attention each and every time. I’m very fickle about who cuts my hair, but my stylist Claire and Namoo are very considerate, friendly and do the job very well. I always leave the salon with my hair looking incredible.Ever since the pandemic, they’ve taken every precaution to keep the guests and staff safe by wearing masks, face shields, and googles. Temperature checks, masks and surveys are required for the guests, which is great to see as well. I can really see that they are trying very hard to keep everyone safe.I’d highly recommended New Hair for anyone wanting to get a fresh cut, very nice service, and a warm and friendly atmosphere!
It was my first time on this hair salon but it’s not my first with my amazing stylist, Tiffany! I’ve always admired how patient she is when doing hair. She takes the time to map out, measure and makes sure that everything on your hair is well did! She’s also very nice, easy going, chill and open to have good conversations with! New Hair is truly one of the top salons in New York. The atmosphere is fun and fresh. Everyone on the staff is always working hard to keep the clients happy and safe during the pandemic. I always look forward to getting my hair done here. My go to stylist is Megan. I honestly get the best haircuts of my life from her. The last time I visited I got a haircut and scalp treatment which was pretty life changing. I had notice my hair wasn’t as think or healthy as it used to be. After 1 treatment, I can already tell the difference. Im really glad I found New Hair and Megan. I trust them exclusively with my hair.

I heard so many good things about this place and tried my first haircut with Lena. First of all, i love my haircut and Lena was amazing! Also it didnt take long! Quick and professional service! Plus, since it was on the ground floor with frequent ventilation, i felt way safer. Price level is a tiny bit higher compared to other ones nearby but i get my haircut a couple of times / year and would definitely trust Lena next time!
I’ve been to several Manhattan salons and I must say that this has been one of my favorites. The staff is most friendly and accommodating. The salon is very mindful of to respect CDC guidelines and was sparkling clean! The interior design is modern and chic. The chairs on both the floor and at the sink are extremely comfortable.My colorist Han, was able to correct my brassy blonde into a beautiful and bright ash blonde! I have never been so content with the shade of blonde they were able to achieve on me! They carry and use the Milbon product line from Japan (which are unique and not found in all salons.) Milbon has some fantastic treatments for damaged and frizzy hair. I was also given a most refreshing cut and perfect blow out.As I looked around, I noticed that the other clients (both women and men) were getting top notch cuts as well. Each stylist’s attention to precision and detail really impressed me.I am so happy that I came across the gem that is NewHair! I will be a regular client here from now on!- Marie G.

I’ve been loving the cut and balayage I got from Claire during one of the classes. I got the cut in September and the highlights in October and both are growing out really well. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair, the highlights make me feel like summer is still around!The classes take a long time but I got the services for free so it was totally worth the wait.
I would like to share my positive experience with NewHair salon. At the reception area I was greeted by an employee who confirmed my appointment and took my temperature with a digital thermometer and suggested to use hand sanitizer before escorting me to my chair. The salon was very clean. This helped me feel fully confident that they were taking all of the necessary health and safety precautions.The stylist did a great job consulting me on my hair. He persuaded me to cut my hair shorter than I thought, and I didn’t regret that. At the end he did an amazing haircut and blow dry. I will be happy to return to this salon again in the future.

I was nervous to get my hair done in the midst of the pandemic, but I had heard wonderful things about New Hair from a friend. As soon as I went in, they checked my temperature and provided me with sanitizer for my hands and my phone. All of the staff is wearing masks and eye protection, and it is noticeable that everyone is being careful with social distancing.My stylist was Megan and she had the daunting task of dying my roots and cutting my hair. She was super friendly and gave me advice on what things I could do to improve the condition of my hair and color. Overall great experience. :)
My visit to New Hair was very enjoyable. Especially amidst Corona, it felt like a relaxing getaway-- a little spa day that everyone has been missing.Staffs are friendly, polite, and pretty. They provide you with a luxurious feeling robe to wear during your stay. Music feels in place, ceilings are high, and everything is overall clean and open.Most importantly, theyre very proficient with hair styling.You wont be sorry coming here. For me, it is a routine getaway.
I’ve been getting my haircut from Lena for the past 5 years. She does a fantastic job every time. The staff/service is also on point and the shop is very clean. Everyone’s wearing masks at all times and they use new coverings for each customer. Would recommend making reservations online in advance.
While the shop itself has opened recently, Ive known Lena for a while, who is one of the main hairdressers. She is very professional and gets exactly the style that you want, on top of being so friendly! The venue is super clean, giving me a peace of mind during these times.

When I arrived at the salon, they checked my temperature, had hand sanitizer handy, made me sign the document related to COVID-19, and kept the place real clean! After all, I had hair coloring from Claire and my hair looks amazing! She was very professional and friendly too! I felt really safe while I was getting the service and it was the best hair salon experience I’ve ever had!

Followed Lena from her previous shop to New Hair. Lena is very attentive and I have never been disappointed in her service. Highly recommend her. Arguably she takes the largest market share in korean community. Also the new precautionary measures against covid seem very professional.
I got my hair cut and color done after the quarantine. The place is very clean and cautious with health/safety issues. Everybody entering to the building is screened and is provided with newly sanitized supplies. Lena and Namoo were very friendly and thorough with styling. Very satisfied and would come again for my next haircut.
Very relaxing atmosphere, I was really enjoyed the musical playlist and my experience overall. All stylists are good professionals, I can highly recommend this salon for all kind of services: blowout, cuts and color. Milbon treatment was exactly what I needed for my damaged blonde hair. I came across New Hair while searching for color appts and I am so happy I made an appointment with Ai!Ai was super kind, patient and detailed even though my hair is very thick and can be a lot to deal with. I came into the appt knowing I wanted a haircut but was open to suggestions on length and style— Ai did not disappoint! I’ve been going to New Hair since the opening and I have been getting my haircut by one of the founding members prior to opening the new salon. I highly recommend stylist Kai and Lena, they’re both amazing. If you’re looking for a guys haircut these two are both talented. Lena also specializes in “perms” so keep that in mind. This is my first time in NEWHAIRNYC SALOON ! I really liked it ! I got Lorenzo as my hair stylist . He is very professional and friendly ! I really want to cut my hair for my birthday and this place seems like the perfect place to do that. And it’s also near this cafe I went by today (8/3/21) around 9-10 am . which is where I fell in love with this guy that has pink hair that I saw go in this salon . His hair is also amazingly done . I’m guessing it’s this hair salon that did his hair.

Very professional. Had a haircut, and color by Tiffany and the results were fantastic!😀 Definitely ask for Tiffany and her recommendation on style. She takes her time to explain whats shes going to do, and makes sure youre comfortable.👍 Was worried about being in doors with covid on the rise, but the place is ginormous! No need to fear about a small hair salon, place is very large for a hair salon. Very high ceilings, sort of like an industry factory look. (Great EDM club music playing if u like that sort of thing to complete the look lol). 🙂 They require u to have a mask and when u enter, hand sanitizer is placed on your hands. They take your temp via forehead scanner and u fill out the stand covid questionnaire. Will definitely be back...customer for life! 🙃
I’ve been going to this salon for a while now. Claire is always professional and amazingly skillful. The staff is very friendly and well trained. Price is also way more reasonable than some ridiculous boutique salons. I highly recommend.

Ai was absolutely amazing!! My hair hadnt been trimmed since before quarantine and she was my rescuer. Ai listened to what I was looking for and the long-layers cut is beyond my expectations. Im so happy!! Plus she was a lovely to chat with and worked efficiently.The studio was awesome! New and large and they followed smart Covid-19 precautions including mask requirements, hand sanitizing, temperature check, and health questionnaire. I felt safe the whole time!Cant wait to go back! I realized that they take multiple measures to ensure safety during this pandemic - they are keeping ample space in between chairs, taking temperature and keeping gowns in separate containers. Very happy that they have reopened safely and will obviously be going back. Their convenient online reservation system is also a huge plus - highly recommend!

Im completely satisfied! I couldnt find a place to get my hair cut in New York, but I didnt know that a place I found by accident would be this best ㅠㅠ First of all, the services I received were a treatment (steam AI) and a cut (steam CLAIRE). He applied the treatment, but his hands were so fast, I was impressed inside the whole time he received it haha And he did small talk in moderation, so I didnt feel bored throughout the procedure! Claire is really good at cutting hair ㅠㅠ First, look at my hair condition and tell me if my hair is in good condition or not, what part of it has caused damage, etc. Thanks to this, I felt a little confused on how to manage my hair haha And I requested to supplement my complex, and they accepted 100%, so I got really, really pretty hair ㅠㅠ Thank you so much hehe The other staff were also really kind and meticulous. ! I think I will only go here in the future haha It was not a waste of money and I was very satisfied! :)

2021-09-08My decision to cut my hair was very spontaneous. No one from my family even knew I was making this big decision considering how long my hair was. (Pictures attached)I called and was lucky enough to get an appointment.Walking in I was so nervous to cut my hair - i usually always get small end-trims but never a big chop. However, My stylist named KEIKO was wonderful.As she started to cut my hair I LITERALLY started tearing up - and she was so sweet about it and comforted me the entire way. She was patient and extremely professional. I felt really safe.I have never been happier with my hair. I feel beautiful!My family and friends Absolutely LOVE IT!All thanks to Keiko :)

2022-04-15I started coming here because my friend recommended the place and a stylist, Tiffany, and she’s great! She’s given me a lot of advice and tips on proper maintenance and even suggestions for a new style. All of them have been great recommendations, so i trust her with anything she says now lol. It’s been about a year since I’ve been coming here, and I’ve always been satisfied after an appointment. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new shop.

2022-03-23I am pretty loyal to Iryna and NewHair. Ive gotten long cuts (from lower back to shoulder length) and full balayages. Definitely worth the travel from NJ and money. She brings my hair to life and always understands what i want. My hair is slightly complicated - mostly wavy and some coils but straightens out with length and weight. Ive never been disappointed and always love my hair after seeing Iryna!

They offer hair consultation prior to booking you hair treatment so you’ll know which service do you need. I got Lorenzo as my hairstylist. He is very professional and friendly. 2022-04-08My hair stylists were Iryna and Oksana who fixed my hair after a bad coloring. My hair looked terrible, but the guys thoroughly and carefully recolored my hairs. I am very pleased with their job!!! The staff was friendly! Highly recommend!
