I see several negative reviews about how the staff were supposedly rude, but when my wife and I went there they were very welcoming, friendly and informative. They even suggested that we try the wine slushies - and Im glad we did. After tasting several wines, we bought a bottle of the Loganberry - and its absolutely delicious. The dogs were cute, friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back next year when we visit the Niagara Falls region.
Awful experience and I will never give this place any business again. We had a party bus of 16 people book through the Niagara wine trail. We called Niagara landing the night before put tour to confirm that we would be able to come in for some tastings. The girl on the phone was super nice. Before we even entered our group agreed that only 7 of us should go in at a time out of respect. However, once we got there, we walked in and after the 3 ladies finally agreed to serve us, they pretty much would not serve us anything but wine slushies because they were being lazy and said they didn’t have time to do that with such a large group. They were extremely rude to all of us and at the end, the host of our bus politely went inside and asked if she could privately talk to one of the workers. She started to state that she had a great experience with the girl she spoke to on the phone but once they got there, a bunch of her guests were complaining of how rude the staff was. Before she could say anything more, all three screamed at her to get out of their winery. We are all very respectful young girls and I have never seen such bad customer service. HOWEVER, the wine was actually very good which is very unfortunate.
Host was unfortunately not very welcoming. We were excited to try some new wines and also purchase some selections. Came from another winery in the area that was gracious and informative. We made many purchases there. Improving customer service would certainly improve sales!
Niagara Landing had always been my favorite winery in the area, until this past weekend. I came in with my husband shortly before a large group came in. We were near another couple who had already started tasting. An older woman with short hair and glasses took care of us. The whole tasting lasted about 5 minutes, maybe less because she was rushing us so fast, because Im assuming she wanted to take care of the large party. I have been to this winery so many times and have always enjoyed the staff and their tasting sizes are decent. Well this woman talked so fast I couldnt understand her and gave me literally a sip of each wine, while continuously looking at the large party like she couldnt wait to help them. I have never felt so unwelcomed. Usually my husband and I buy 4 or 5 bottles of wine every time we go, but not this time. Possibly never again. The other couple near us received triple what we were given and had what looked to be a pleasant conversation with the employee who was helping them. I regret not saying something at the time, but I had such a bitter taste in my mouth I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Maybe you should treat your loyal customers a little better instead of catering to large parties who are only there to get drunk.
Called this morning and was told that they had reservations all day and that for two of us we would probably need to wait 10-15 minutes before we could taste (totally understandable!)When we arrived, the woman who greeted (I use greeted loosely) advised that since we had no reservation, it would be at least 30 minutes and I cant even tell you when.We mentioned we would just browse product for purchase and she then gruffly advised that there could only be six people in the store (there were 5).Since there were only 5 we went ahead and made our selections and stood in line to pay. While waiting, another patron entered the shop and tried to voice a complaint to another associate, who literally began yelling at the patron. Another associate also began yelling at this patron who then became visibly upset and shaken. Then the third person working, who stated that this is her winery, also began yelling at this patron to get out (though, she was obviously headed out the door at that point) and then after she was out the door, all three mocked the patron for having cried. Also of note, all three people working had their maks pulled down to their chins at this point, and only two were behind plexiglass. This was very unfortunate to see, as I really like their Rosebud series, but todays purchase will be my last.
This was our first destination of the day. We had called the night before and told them our large number of people coming. When we showed up not only were the ladies plain awful but soooo rude. My friend had tripped over the step and the door and spilled her wine. They made me pay for another tasting, but if they had a “watch your step sign” it would be different. We went to talk to them about it were polite. The ladies started to yell at us saying “get the **** out, never come back, what do you want me to do about it” I will never go back there again.
Niagara Landing has always been one of my favorite wineries; however after my most recent visit in May 2019, I will never suggest this winery to anyone! My family and I came in (about 9 of us) shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning and the woman at the register, with short blonde hair, was extremely unwelcoming, maintained a sour look on her face the entire time, and just made us feel as though we were imposing. As we made our way to the tasting bar, two women serving, one with long blonde hair and a nose piercing and another with shorter brown hair, were again awfully unwelcoming, provided NO knowledge of the various wines, and poured only a small sip of wine for us each to taste. The male in the back room serving the cuisine sample was much nicer! I then overheard the brown-haired employee say to the blonde employee something to the effect of, “that’s why I F*%#+_ them over with tastings...” Once I heard that, I asked if there was a problem we caused upon entering the winery, and she was immediately quick to say, “oh no.” She was clearly talking about my family and I for some unknown reason because none of us raised any type of riot or caused any type of problem, and then lied about it to my face when I called her out on it. Due to this unexplainable behavior, I refused to purchase any wine! We were told by others along the trail that the owner is very nice and was shocked to hear about our terrible experience and suggested we contact the owner. Hopefully, the owner will see this review and reconsider who he/she has as the face of their winery, especially during an event, on the weekend, with medium to large groups!
I was incredibly disappointed that Niagara Landing turned out group away, regardless of proof of email correspondence that our group’s planned arrival time and size. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude to us and didn’t even let us explain that we had already emailed them about our group. She immediately refused us, would not speak with us, and was shockingly rude to the point we thought she was joking! I do NOT recommend taking a larger group to this location, even if you call ahead.
I have never been treated with such disrespect as I was here, by the manager herself, Kelly. We walked through the door well before closing time and she barely glanced up at us. Instead, she repeatedly said “we are closed. Can’t help you, were closed.” Even if it had been past closing time, which it was not, that is no way to treat a customer. We will not be returning. If you do decide to try coming here, I would strongly recommend you avoid Kelly. She needs to learn a think or two about how to treat people kindly.
Came in at 545, close at 6, I get it, soon to close. Lighted sign said open still, doors were open and there was another small group still tasting inside. Probably 12 employees just stared at me as we walked in (small group of 4). I asked if they were still doing tastings. Everyone just stared at eachother. . . Incredibly akward and disrespectful and unprofessional.

2022-06-07Went to 5 different Wineries on Mothers Day. I had no clue what I wanted, because they had so much to pick from. The lovely lady that helped me was very knowledgeable & made the experience very enjoyable. And I could taste why they had so many award winning wines.

2020-11-07So...we stopped here at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. The website said that the winery closed at 6 pm. I would think time enough for a tasting. Upon arrival, the servers all said that we could order a glass of wine, but not a tasting. There were four of us. We each ordered a glass of wine. We finished at about 5:50 pm. They said, if you want to purchase anything you need to do it now, we are shutting down our register. We did not purchase anything. The people working here were very rude. The wine was great, but I would not purchase because of the customer service.

2022-03-02This place has such yummy wine but the “manager” Robin needs to work on her people skills. She was the most ignorant person I have met in my life. She made crude comments and has an all around horrible attitude. Such a shame that she ruined the experience for my husband and I.

2021-08-22My boyfriend and I stopped here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The woman working the front was rude we didnt feel welcomed. The winery closes at 6 but the tastings end at 4:30pm, thats fine it was 5:05 so we just ordered 2 glasses. Other customers were coming in the door behind me and she actually sighed out loud. My boyfriend took care of the bill and she was very abrupt and although the wine (semi dry) tasted great, I wouldnt ever go back - it was a beautiful Saturday in WNY - did you not think people would want a cold glass of wine or to do something fun?

2021-08-29Booked a wine tour for my 30th birthday. We ran a little behind at each winery because there were 10 of us (every other place was accepting of our delay). We had a reservation for 4pm and because we showed up at 4:30, we werent allowed to come in. There was plenty of outdoor seating we could have sat at after getting wine tastings or glasses so that we didnt crowd their inside. The lady who was running the place came out of the winery to tell us we couldnt come in in a very rude way. I am now never buying their wine in local stores and will never go back there. Super unprofessional and would highly NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a wine tour.

2020-08-01Fun little winery with $5 6 wine tastings. Delicious. Try the hot pepper wine. But buy the pina colada and mango tango. Gorgeous bottles too.

2021-08-29I paid for my wife and her friends to go on a wine tour for her 30th. After all was said and done I asked how was the trip?My wife told me about how unprofessional the management at Niagara Landing is. I was honestly shocked due to them being a big name in the Niagara wine scene. I guess that bus was a few minutes late to the 4 oclock arrival time (a valid complaint by the winery) but the manager handled it all wrong and was verbally abrasive to the group. This is unexcusable and the woman should obviously not have her position. She is obviously under qualified for her job. I will never buy wine for them and will leave them off all wine tours in the future. Absolutely horrible service 👍 go somewhere else.

2021-08-28Had a reservation booked for 4pm for my friends 30th and barely got off the bus and the woman, presumably the manager came out “guns a blazing” shouting we were 30 minutes late. There were 10 of us and they could have easily had a great sale. But we spent our money elsewhere at a nearby winery. Super super rude.
