Dante is a fantastic tour guide. Hes engaging, personable, funny, and warm. Somehow, by the end, it felt like we were being shown around by a friend rather than a stranger. I definitely recommend this tour!

Neighborhood tours are a tremendous way to learn about the city and see it in such a different, personal way. Dante is awesome! He is fun to work with and pays attention to all the little details. And oh my word! The food was great and SO plentiful. We were full and happy. Put Nice Guy Tours on your must do list!
We took the Greenwich Village tour with friends yesterday and had a great time. Dante was our guide and was terrific - friendly, welcoming and informative. It was obvious that he loves this city and knows a lot about it. The tour included 7 stops of some of the best in the area and they did not disappoint. If you are going to be in NYC - I highly recommend this tour. We plan to do another one when we return. Thank you Dante & Happy Holidays!Ps - On aside - as we were walking to one of our 1st stops, Dante noticed a young man on the street and directed us all toward the restaurant. As most of us headed that way, I watched as he took off his socks and gave them to the young man who had none and had holes in his shoes. He never said a word to us but those of us who saw this were touched and realized that this wasnt the 1st (or last time) hed done this. Well done!
Dante is a great guide. The Greenwich Village tour was delicious and interesting! Highly recommend! Just 3 tips: 1) the tour actually meets in the little park area in front of Molly’s Cupcakes 2) DO NOT EAT before you go on this tour. I took the 11 AM tour and only had a light smoothie about 2 hours before and I couldn’t finish the artichoke pizza (incredible) or my cupcake, which I took with me. And I’m someone who can eat! 3) if you are a light eater, bring a bag with you. One of my tour mates ended up walking with with a pizza box, falafel + dipping sauce and a cupcake all balanced on the pizza box, since she was as full well before the end of the tour.There was not a weak choice across the entire tour. I was really excited to do this tour because I’d heard that artichoke pizza was a must try and I haven’t had a chance to get to one in the 5 or so years of weekend trips to NYC. It was totally worth it and I loved all the other street finds.
We love Dante and he was so fun! Will do this tour again. Great food and great knowledge about the city.

Ive taken every tour Dante does, more than once in some cases, and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Dante is different from most guides, as he doesnt treat you as a customer. Instead, each tour feels as though your friend is showing you around a neighborhood and taking you to the best places to grab a bite. Hes knowledgable, friendly, and funny, and everywhere you go, hes greeted as an honored guest and his group is, too.
Dante was awesome! We did the Greenwich Village tour. The food was excellent, and we certainly didn’t leave hungry. Dante was genuine and engaging, and he taught us a ton about the city. We’ll be doing the other tours when we’re back in town!
Our expectations were high because of the great reviews, but somehow Dante managed to exceed them. This tour was the perfect balance of food and local history, and Dantes easygoing personality loosened everyone up. I felt like we were all friends by the end of it. Cant recommend highly enough.

You shouldnt miss a food tour with Nice Guy Tours! Not only did we eat at amazing places with fantastic food (and we were thoroughly stuffed after our 3 hour Lower East side tour.) Mike, our guide, was so knowledgeable and we learned so much history about the neighborhood. Highly recommend them!
Dante was so wonderful! He learned our entire crews names within minutes (20 of us), the spots were yummy, and he gave a nice NYC overview along the way. Highly recommend.
Greenwich village food tour was really great. Bit of history with lot of food. I couldn’t eat everything. We had pizzas, ham, falafel, pancakes and a lot more. I think you can not discover Greenwich in better way than this.
Thanks for an amazing tour, Adam! We and our kids loved the various historical stops and tastings. This is our second time doing this tour and it never disappoints! There will definitely be a third time!
Alison was great. She is really knowledgeable of NYs history. This tour was accompanied by good food and stories. The thing I wish was included was less food carb options. Everything we eat was made of dough and was fried. I need to do a two-week body cleanse. I also didnt like that we went to two pizza restaurants. I have to admit that Bleecker Pizza was amazing and the other not so much. Ive never had so much carbs in one sitting... its my fault. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, this may not be for you. Otherwise, great tour of Greenwich neighborhood!

Right from the start, Dante was a friendly and welcoming tour guide. We had 6 people on our tour, total, so it was great to be able to chat and walk around together in a small group. The food was excellent, the NYC history was fun, and we left very full and laughing. Great spots that I never knew about were discovered...and I lived in NYC for 6 years. You should definitely book a Nice Guys tour.
Great diversity of food. Loved hitting up Katz and a bagel place as they are NYC staples. As well as stopped at other unique places. Knowledgeable and friendly!

This is the second time I’ve toured with Dante and Nice Guy Tours. I obviously loved it the first time and this tour in Greenwich Village did not disappoint. Dante mixes the perfect amount of historical facts, fun facts, and food facts to keep things light and fun. My whole group had a really nice time trying out some fun food and learning about a really neat part of the city. Highly recommend whether you’re from out of town or a NY local looking to learn something new!
Dante is an upbeat, passionate tour guide who knows how to show his “guests” a great time! The food was delicious, the tour interesting, and the experience was fun, memorable, and a great introduction to Greenwich Village! What a great way to spend an afternoon in NY! Awesome tour, Dante is a great guide. It was my favorite thing I did during my visit in NYC. Definitely dont eat anything beforehand! The food is all delicious.

I did the Greenwich Food Tour with my mom during a recent trip to NYC and we both loved it! Adam, our guide, was so personable and spent time getting to know each of us on the tour. The food was all delicious, and we were so full we took home the food from the last couple of stop and had it for dinner. The tour was a great way to see the city and experience more local restaurants. Would highly recommend!
This was such a fun way to pass an afternoon in NYC! If youve visited the city enough times and already hit the main tourist attractions, this is a great low- key activity for a casual afternoon. Dante does an excellent job of helping you learn and explore in a unique (and tasty) way. We had so much fun checking out all the tastes of Greenwich and would highly recommend!!
I was in NY with girlfriends celebrating one of their daughters 18th bday so I thought this would be a nice experience for us! I have been on a bunch of food tours in other cities and Nice Guy Tours is bomb! Dante was so friendly and personable throughout the entire tour and knew so many little tidbits about where were touring. All of the food was delish and we could hardly finish things at the end.....but we managed!!!! Highly recommend this tour!!!!BEST PIZZA ON THE PLANET!!! Bleeker Street Pizza!!
I cannot say enough good things about this tour! The places we went were amazing, and Dante was SPECTACULAR! I was really glad we changed our meeting place to Katz’s, “I’ll have what she’s having”, and make that two! It was a small group, and that’s what I like, more one on one time with each other to enjoy each other’s company and the delicious bites. Dante has been doing this for ten years and it shows, his passion for the city and good food come out every step of the way. It was great to learn a little history about the Lower East Side as well, who knew there was a Greek Jewish community! At the end of the tour I felt a little more knowledgeable and like 10 pounds heavier. Pastrami on rye, knish, rugelach, pickles, donuts, dumplings, bagels, a bialy, and a surprise scallion pancake at Essex Market and a alcove of Babka french toast… I’m salivating thinking about all the yummy eats. In short, take this tour, fall in love with the Lower East Side and meet a super genuine guy!
Meeting Dante and doing this food tour was a highlight of our fall break trip! Our group from Louisville, KY had five teens with us and we all enjoyed it so much! Thanks Dante, hopefully we’ll see you in the future!!

Dante is simply amazing! he is truly a nice guy, funny and professional, the tour was just great, despite it being a cold and breezy day, Dante took us around and gave us a taste of both the premier locations you want to eat stuff and a little history and understanding of where we walk and how it evolved over the years.Dante pays attention to details, makes sure everyone is well-fed and we would for sure come back for more tours with him!
My family of six did the Greenwich Village food tour on 5/24/19. Dante is just as awesome as all the other reviews say! So friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He took us to seven different eateries that were all so delicious. Come with an appetite because even though they’re not full servings, it’s a LOT of food! We planned on going to dinner an hour after, but we were stuffed the whole evening and didn’t need to eat dinner. In addition to the eateries, we stopped at other locations in the neighborhood which was really cool. We would highly recommend Dante and this tour to anyone! One of the highlights of our trip for sure!! :)
We went on the walking food tour as part of our honeymoon. Dante was fantastic! A lovely guy with great knowledge of New York and great taste in food!He took us to many hidden sights in New York and had a wealth of knowledge!All the food was delicious and we came away feeling very full!😊
Great tour! We learned some history of NYC, enjoyed getting perspective from a local and ate delicious food! It was a big hit. We had a group of ten and booked a private tour. We will have to do it again in a different neighborhood next time we are in the city. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went in this tour with Dante and couldn’t have been more pleased. From the start, communication with Dante was wonderful. We had some concerns before the tour with regard to my husband’s health, and Dante was very responsive to my inquiries and very helpful both before and during the tour, consistently asking my husband how he was doing. He is the nicest of persons, lots of fun to be with, and his choices of food stops was amazing. We took the 2:30pm Lower East Side tour. The portions were very generous, and we were so full after the tour that we skipped dinner altogether, I highly recommend this tour, and make sure to come hungry,
Not only was the food AMAZING at every stop, but Dante really knows his stuff about the area! From general facts about the neighborhood to specific facts about the history of the restaurant and food, he delivered them all with a great sense of humor and a “classic” New York accent. If you want a nice walk filled with fun facts and delicious food, I cannot recommend this tour enough!Vegetarian friendly. Minimal walking all on flat surfaces.

Nice Guys Tours is the way to tour NYC especially the Lower East Side & Greenwich Village. Beyond the great food, neighborhood sites, and historical information, Dante is a very personable and knowledgable guide who knows his city like no other. I have been on many of the tours in New York city including Circle Line, Empire State, and the classic hop-on Bus tour, I had most fun with Nice Guys Tours by a pretty wide margin. Would recommend to all foodies, families, and newcomers to New York!

Dante was an incredible guide! He was friendly (the name, “nice guy” is no joke!), it felt like we were on a tour with a good pal! He took care of our small group and made sure to attend to any needs that arose. He was super informative and told us a ton of cool history about the various foods we tried and their makers. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE as well and gave us a great sampling of the varying cultures of the Lower East Side. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and wish my trip were longer so I could go on all of Dante’s tours!
Dante is a fantastic tour guide! My husband and I took both the Greenwich Village tour and the Lower East Side tour - I highly recommend both! We left full and happy having learned more about New York than we had previously. We revisited some of the shops from the tours because the food is so delicious. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs!

This was our second tour with Nice Guy Tours and it wont be out last. We plan to bring some friends along with us next time. Lots of great food, a good mix of places, and some cool information. We live in Brooklyn, always enjoy an excuse to eat good food in the city. Plus we were comfortable exploring with the companys Covid-19 protocols in place. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to enjoy great food and the Lower East Side.

Did the tour of The Village with Dante. He has an amazing personality, remembered all of our names, introduced us to each other...We ate well. Its been a long time since Ive been out with others since COVID; he made us feel comfortable. Really enjoyed myself. Hes also a wealth of useless info. Go ahead, pick his brain.
Went on a three separate tours with Dante of nice guy tours one on the east side another on the west side and a food truck tour. We got a nice slice of the city food and history Dante is very entertaining and a all around NICE guy I recommend the tour for people who are visiting the city or if you’re local and want to experience some hidden gems.
Dante aka Nice Guy is soo down to earth. Dante is accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable of the city. I went on his Greenwich Village Tour Thursday October 29th and had an amazing time. The weather was perfect. We hit six spots of great food. My new favorite spot of the six was the Artichoke Pizza hands down. I cant wait to venture back there with my Honey for a whole pie. Thanks Dante. Cant wait to do the Lower East side tour.

I only write reviews when I disagree with the rating, but in this case, I wrote this one just for Dante even though hes already 5 stars. He was a great guide, funny, personable, and really knows NYC food. I did the Lower East Side tour and chose Nice Guy Tours because its the most complete tour visiting 8 key food spots. The other companies seem to skip a few like Katzs Deli or they dont include food at all the locations they visit. Katzs was my favorite and I even stopped by for dinner after the tour. To finish up the day, Blue Bloods was filming on one of the streets and we spotted Donnie Wahlberg who took a selfie with one of the fans in our group!!!

This was our 4th tour with Dante - We always bring our out of town visitors to his tours they are the BEST . The groups are small and he makes sure that everyone is part of the conversations. ITs great to meet people from all over the world while eating at some of the best spots in the city . a MUST do when in the city . Perfect for non-tourists too . We also find something new when we take his tours.

2022-04-22It was such a fun food tour. It was my first time doing this and I enjoyed every minute of it. Dante is an awesome tour guide! He definitely loves what he’s doing! Greenwich is a beautiful place, a must-see for anyone visiting New York! I recommend this food tour to anyone who likes to food-trip! Greenwich has so many restaurants to choose from and Dante did a good job of taking us to some of their best ones!

He made us feel so welcome from the jump. The food choices were varied and delicious. This tour was a big hit with our entire family. Greenwich has such a great feel to it. 2022-06-17Simply excellent and enjoyable tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A filling and delicious assortment of bites and enjoyable backgrounds of the local history to the sights we saw made this a visually and physically tasty experience :)Our lovely chap of a guide had not only a sharp mind for providing history, but had a sharp mind for knowing how we could have a good time overall. When we weren’t busy taking in the sights, we were busy laughing along with our guides’ plethora of humor.After broadening my mind and palette, we ended the journey in an area of town that was fun to explore and journey home from.The only bitter taste I experienced was having to leave and go back to my home state. But, I heard he does a second tour so it looks like I’ve got plans to return to NYC in the future! :) Time to prepare my stomach 😋

2021-12-03A “must do” while visiting NYC! Dante was fantastic - engaging, knowledgeable, fun. We felt like we were walking around with a true local. Food we sampled was delicious and we were stuffed at the end. While walking around later, we saw other tours and guides - none were as good as Dante!

2022-05-03I booked the Lower East Side tour with Dante after having such a great time on the Greenwich Village Tour a few months prior. This tour was just as amazing! First of all, Dante is extremely responsive, accommodating, and took the time to answer all of my questions before the tour. The food stops on both tours are great but what makes the experience even better is Dante himself. He is so friendly and fun to be around which makes for a really enjoyable day. Thank you Dante for showing my friends and I an incredible time. You are so great at what you do!

2022-01-04Loved this tour! I did the Greenwich food tour with family visiting from Ireland for a fun, unique way to explore NYC. They LOVED this tour, as did I. Dante was great- very nice, funny guy, with great information and interesting details on the tour. There were 7 food stops, all of which were wonderful- pizzas, bagels, falafel, cupcakes, and more! Everything was great, and we were absolutely stuffed by the time we finished. I also thought this tour was the best value, price wise, compared to similar tours. Would absolutely recommend!

2021-12-22Nice guy, nice tour! My family and I had a wonderful time with Dante in the Lower East Side. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it, and we had time to buy some of our own to take home if we wanted (but it was not required). The tour was an easy walk, Dante was funny and great company - he made everybody feel welcome and took great care of us; you can tell he loves his job!

2022-06-18Dante was an excellent tour guide. Lots of great stories about the history of the neighborhoods and the places where we yummed. He kept a great pace. Plenty of chances to rest, have bathroom breaks and take in the sights. I’ll definitely be back for one of his other tours soon! Absolutely recommend!
