Party Room: I held a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend in the rose room. Cara was very responsive and kind. We had a great time in the space and it fit the 15 people in my party perfectly. They even let us arrive a little early to setup for the surprise. The cheese catered plate was plentiful and very good. The gentleman tending bar occasionally delivered food to our party. The only thing i would improve upon is dedicating a bartender to the party to minimize waiting in the normal line. It wasnt too bad of a wait though.Highly recommend you book a party here if you need a lovely space.
Positive: This place is cozy. Ordered hot toddy and was served a cold drink. Bartender did not realize it wasn’t hot? Guy in charge explained bartender is new and doesn’t know drinks quite well. Whose job is it to train bartender anyway? We ended up ordering other ciders but not what we had gone there to try. The wait was long, the service was frustrating and the drinks were underwhelming. Probably not going back:(
Solid place if youre into cider or are looking for something semi-touristy to do(all the ciders are made with NY apples). Nice variety of ciders, but could maybe bolster its draft list with a beer that isnt a stout or porter. Food was solid, but nothing to rave about. Ordering system seems somewhat disorganized, but I didnt wait too long.
Some of the best ciders Ive ever had. My only complaint is that they dont produce their Earl Grey cider yearly. Great location in downtown Albany in an area that is really becoming the place to be on Friday/Saturday nights. Love getting a flight and trying their new on tap variations. If cider isnt your thing, they do have a rotating selection of local craft brews as well.
A place dedicated to cider?!?!?! What a great idea. We are new to the area and the staff really helped us understand the NINE different ciders the had on tap. Happy hour discount was appreciated as was the suggestion that we take advantage of the “date night“ special on Mondays. Two 12 ounce ciders and a pizza for 20 bucks. Really? How can they do it?!?!? The pizza was goat cheese and pesto with balsamic drizzled on top. Crust was very well done. We were planning on having the pretzel so we did that also. Great crust, soft inside and just enough salt. Beautiful and tasty. The highlight was the staff telling us about the wide variety of ciders.
Cider by the Campfire is such a cute idea by Nine Pin. The private fire pit with the lights made for such a great ambiance while you safely catch up with friends and family. Loved the options for drinks and food as well! Can’t beat s’mores at the end. Such an awesome idea, Nine Pin! Def would recommend and we plan on going back!
Awesome! We went there for trivia, you should definitely arrive at least 30 min early to get seats. Theres some seating but not a whole lot. The cider is fantastic. If you live nearby you can get a punch card and try to taste all 26 ciders they offer over the year. if you fill your card, you get a permanent discount. Tip: do not park in the gym parking lot across the street or you may get towed. Theres some street parking and some more parking next to the building.
We recently worked with Nine Pin for our wedding favors and we absolutely loved it! It was a unique and fun wedding favor and we got so many compliments on the bottle design and the taste of the cider! We would definitely recommend using nine pin to all of our friends and family!
This was the 1st time I have been to this place. It was a very nice experience. Many different kinds of drinks on tap. I try the whiskey sour drink it was very good. The atmosphere in here was very nice. The people are very kind and also it is very clean inside. From my 1st visit to this visit to the one today. I would have to say that the staff is still very polite and still many different flavors to choose from on tap.
We frequent this place and if youve been there, you know why. If you havent been there, GO! The cider is amazing and the cocktails are so tasty! Mel, Jerry, and Taylor are awesome. Also, they are dog friendly! Our dog LOVES coming here, he thinks he runs the show here now! 10/10.
My husband and I adore this place! Best spot for a quick date night. Everything about this place is quality; service, ambiance, selections, events, location (aside from parking). Not only are their ciders hands down the best out there, but the fact that the owner and team work so hard to stay involved with local businesses is truly inspiring.
Great place to go and chill with a couple friends. They do big events a couple times a year which are also a lot of fun. The pressing party and gathering of the cideries are must-do activities but they havent held them since covid. I just started the 26er club where they do limited release small batch tastings every 2 weeks.
Really good selection, always coming out with new flavors. I fell in love with their cider because its almost a cross between cider and champagne. Its not super sweet like other ciders, its semi-dry. They re-did their tasting room and its gorgeous! They are always having events and pop up events with delicious food and games. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!
Really unique and delicious ciders, and Im not even a cider fan. The place has a really cool, hip vibe. The staff is great, very helpful and friendly. Theres covered seating that is dog friendly. Theres lots of pop up events happening there frequently. Definitely worth checking out.
This place is amazing! Even if you dont know what you want, the staff is knowledgeable about the ciders, and they offer flights so you can try a little of everything. Even drinks that werent my personal favorites were still good. They also offer little snacks and plates to nosh while you drink. Its a small place, but cozy, but theres also outdoor seating when the weather permits. The staff is always friendly.
We a great tour through the brewery and enjoyed a few of the cider varieties on tap. The tour and tasting area are accessible for anyone using a wheelchair. Theres a lift in front, accessible restrooms, and a ramp for the tour area. Theres an alternate route if the ramp is too steep. They did a great job making us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend the place to friends and would come back myself.
Interesting venue. Outdoor seating an indoor seating. You can order many varieties of cider. I ordered a 4 slot Flight which cost $7. The Hunny Pear cider is really good. Theres also a small store with merchandise to purchase as well. Theres a large glass window that you can view where the cider is made right on site, which is cool.
I came here with a Bachlorette party on a Saturday evening. It was surprisingly dead, but it was nice having room for our large group. There is a bunch of seating outside as well as inside. There are a bunch of Ciders on tap, as well as other stuff for sale (T-shirts, glasses..etc)The bartenders were GREAT. They not only were knowledgeable about their product they were very into getting to know our group which was nice. They werent there just for a tip.
I love the decor and the staff are nice. I typically order a flight because I love being able to sample the different ciders, etc that are available. They also sometimes carry donuts from a local bakery which I find fun. I have yet to find a cider that Im head over heels for here, but Ill keep trying.
Their cider is dry and not too sweet , crisp enough for repeat servings. Their seasonal varietals are always fun to try, but the real joy lies in their ginger cider, that finishes spicy and isnt overwhelmed by the ginger taste. Their location is often visited by food trucks, and their tasting room is lovely.
They have the best hard cider Ive ever had. Seriously, ever. The champagne yeast is really key -- it helps make a deliciously dry and crisp cider. In the interests of full disclosure: Im not a fan of sweetness dominating a hard cider. But there is still plenty of fruit to impart the essence or implication of sweetness without all those sugars. Nine Pin is also exceptionally gifted at blending other flavors, always maintaining balance. Their tasting room, now expanded, even offers a handful of craft beers. Nice! And a rotating assortment of food trucks and/or pop-up food events add a welcome gustatory complement to their fine, fine beverages. Keep up the great work, guys and gals!
Super hip place. Got a apple flight and loved the variety. There was a DJ so that night it was loud, but fun. The place was bright and felt lively. They had nice retail, it was spread a bit everywhere, but you could definitely walk out with something cool to remember your good time.
Love Nine Pin! Great cider in a cute setting. They recently re-did their tasting room so its bigger and even more adorable. Limited food option (meat and cheese plates basically), so more like a place just to get a drink. Their cider flights are fun for trying new things.
A great little tasting room and nice variety of ciders to try. No food, but usually theres a great food truck outside, and you can bring food inside. I loved the ginger cider and the blueberry cider. This is a great dessert after having dinner downtown. Parking can seem a little sketchy, but there was no one around to bother you.
I got to visit Nine Pin for the first time in Saturday and it was a great spot to be from 6:30 PM to 11 PM. They have a variety of in-house and outside flavors on tap and in containers. The prices are really reasonable and the bar area is just welcoming. In addition, Nine Pin has a 26ers program that is a very unique loyalty program I would love to try in the new Year. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a tour, a drink, or a date; no matter what, youll have a blast there!
We love this place! We are huge cider fans. Drove 3 hours this weekend for the gathering of farmhouse cider, and had a blast!!! 5 years being in busines, ninepin, so many congrats!! We love you guys. Thanks for making this festival happen every year. Their hyslop crab was my absolute favorite. 10/10, one of my favorite cideries. Keep up the great work!
Great cider place and hangout spot. So sad though because hard cider was the last thing I was able to drink without getting hives and I had a massive reaction to it and broke out. Not sure if it was just one flavor or my body just csnt tolerate alcohol anymore :/. Otherwise get there cider it is yummy and flavors rotate!
I went on a tour this Labor Day weekend and I LOVED it! We learned some really interesting facts about the cider making process, tasted some amazing specialty ciders, and got a novelty glass to take home. 10/10 would go back. Also, we learned about the 46ers club and now my boyfriend and I have a new goal!
In an area focused around craft beer it is great to have a change of pace with a cidery.Nine Pin produces some of the finest ciders. They always have 7 on tap at the tasting room with some rotating. They also have a small tapas menu that compliments cider drinking well. On the menu youll find cheese, fruit and meat platters.
The green theme is a bit bold and in your face and have to say the ambiance was a bit off to match. The food was atrocious... assuming last minute options were created in wake of the COVID pandemic. However we came here for the cider and it did not disappoint!Hunny Pear was by far the best cider I’ve ever tasted. Dry and smooth, only slightly sweet with hints of cinnamon. Bought a 4 pack to bring home!
A hidden gem in the Capital Region. Nine Pin works off a seven tap system with some amazing local sourced ciders. My girlfriend and I opted for the sampler: seven four ounce pours for $12 (a fair price by any means). The cozy taproom was a great atmosphere to try some killer ciders. The bottles were a little expensive for my taste, but that didnt stop us from grabbing two bottles before leaving. A great stop, and its right down the street from Druthers!
Nine Pin is a world class cidery. Whenever people ask me what the brewery in the Capital Region is, I deflect and tell them about Nine Pin. They both make several consistently excellent ciders and create exciting new ones each month. Their premises and guest taps make Nine Pin a welcoming environment for everyone.

2021-12-30My husband and I chose Nine Pin custom bottles for favors at our wedding and we were thrilled with how the bottles turned out. Nine Pin was great to work with throughout the entire process and pick up was so easy! Cara was so helpful when deciding on label colors. Our guests are still messaging us about the cider, it was definitely a hit!

2022-01-21We love the delicious range of ciders as well as the rotating guest offerings. Sometimes youre in the mood to discover a local ale or a stout! I love that makers and businesses cross promote each other so freely in this region. (Keep an eye on the occasional visiting musicians, food trucks and chefs, too). The intimate indoor and outdoor spaces and the fairly subdued clientele are just right for a mellow evening. I especially enjoy the fall and winter fire pit in their semi-outdoor section.Dont forget to take home a pack of the seasonal selection!

2021-11-08This was such a cute and delicious cidery! They had outdoor seating with nice and warm firepits. The 9 cider sampler was tasty, well-priced, and a great way to sample all 9 of their ciders. They had some good food as well, with several vegetarian options. The cheese plate had lots of crackers and various types of cheese. They also had cider on site to buy and take home and some cute merchandise. I would definitely visit again!

2022-06-27Might be the best cider Ive ever had. I tried the nine-flight and was so glad I did, so that I could sample all of their amazing offerings. The flatbread pizzas were also quite excellent!Update: Still amazing! (Mostly) new set of ciders, befitting a cidery with rotating options. The nine-flight is still a great way to try them all.

2022-06-03I wasnt very impressed. This isnt a bar or restaurant. The ciders were very good and I love that its from local apples. The inside is too small and too crowded for the way they have it set up for people to be in there. I ordered a pickle and cheese boat. After a half hour, I went up to ask about it and they said two minutes after looking at the ticket. They had obviously forgotten to make it. Then it was a small dessert sized paper plate of a couple slices of one kind of cheese and maybe two pickles cut into tiny pieces. They also advertised a drink and then told me I couldnt have it because they have a club and only certain people could have the advertised drink that says no where on the ad that it wasnt for purchase. Ciders good, everything else very poorly done and much too expensive for what you get.

2022-02-08Ninepin is one of my favorite spots in the Albany area. From its great selection of ciders and cocktails; to its helpful staff who understand the profiles of each cider. I highly recommend the flights to try everything. Their food consists of pizza, charcuterie boards, empanadas, and such, which I very much enjoy. They also offer weekly events like karaoke, bingo, and trivia, along with some fantastic arts and crafts events. It’s a great spot to bring friends and family. Rain, snow or shine- they also have fire pits and a cozy environment to enjoy your company. If you like local merchandise, Ninepin has an array of products you can take home in addition to your ciders. (I got two bandanas for my dog)Even when it’s busy; it doesn’t feel overwhelming which is important to me during the pandemic. It is not necessarily a place where you go to be served on, like in a restaurant - so you need to be mindful of that expectation when going.100% will be going back

2022-04-09Nice little spot in Albany. I tried a vanilla maple soda, made in-house, with a cheese and apple plate to go with it. Delicious! I bought the maple cider and sangria to bring home. There was outside seating as well as indoor dining. Need to go back for more sampling!

2022-03-10The firepits at Nine Pin were the perfect venue for a 40th birthday party! We had an absolute blast even with falling snow all evening. Everything was so easy to coordinate and the custom drink bottles made for a flawless party favor.
