OMG! So good! It’s certified kosher, and it has all of the authentic Israeli cuisine benefits in a greatly composed menu, prepared just right, served with abundance, great service, open until late, and have a good (!!!) Turkish coffee, just as you’d expect (or probably you won;t expect it to be that good). Pita bread is hot and fresh, falafel is amazing, the soup was sooo good, only thinking of it now makes my mouth water. Go there, or order out.
Cant say enough good things about Nish Nush... if youre looking for the perfect lunch option in downtown NYC, this is the one! The falafel platter was filling but light, extremely tasty, and super healthy. Not only are the portions huge especially for the price, but the wait time in store was very quick. One of my weekly go tos!
Delicious spot for vegetarians. We stopped for lunch and had the vegan shawarma and the falafel burger. Both were tasty, hot and generous portions. The baklava was also great - it was milder and not as sweet if that is your preference. Classy and unique vibe for a quick lunch or casual dinner.
Seriously one of the best falafels I’ve ever had!I work in the neighborhood and come here often for lunch and never had a bad experience yet. The food is very flavorful and delicious. The falafel comes in 3 flavors and are some of the best I’ve ever had. The portion size is quite big and the platter can definitely be shared between two people. Highly recommend thi
Delicious, amazing and crispy falafels, the best I’ve had after Balade midtown, salads are super fresh, food portions are a large if you may not finish it if you usually have smaller plates. This place usually gets crowded, nothing to worry as their service is quite fast, I’ve been here once in 2017 and back in 2019, not disappointed as the food is really yummm, you won’t go wrong with anything on the menu, my fav is the falafel trio..
Breads Bakery is the best bakery cafe in Tel Aviv and is also the best bakery cafe in Manhattan. We like the one just off Union Square but there is one across the street from Lincoln Center and they operate a kiosk in Bryant Park.I could go on and on about their strudel and chocolate babka as well as their other sundry goodies but hurry over to 18 East 16th Street and see for yourself. Limited seating despite recent improvements but most customers get on line to take their coffee and pastry to go so usually no problem getting a table.Just off Union Square, you can take a break from the green market or shopping on 5th Ave.Since returning from Israel , Ive been on a hunt for good Middle Eastern food complete with the side salads they bring to your table at every restaurant. I found it right in Tribeca, Nish Nush. Its a corner street specious restaurant with friendly staff who remember your name if you go more than once. They have a simple menu, but I recommend the deluxe falafel mixing all their items into one whole wheat pita with those pickled side salads inside. Its perfectly cooked and assembled creating a well balance falafel. To drink, they make their own mint lemonade and its to die for. If youre in the area, run here for lunch. Heck, if youre miles away, go out of your way to go!
*Excellent* Falafel, Hummus aint bad either. So yeah, the falafel is really that good. Crunchy on the outside, soft - yet cooked! - on the inside, and light all around. They have a couple of styles (regular, spicy, etc.), and theyre all pretty damn good. The hummus aint bad either - serving as an excellent textural complement to the falafel, so thats good too.And yes, you can get this in a variety of forms - sandwiches, plates, Just The Falafel, etc. Mind you, you better be careful, since the sizes are pretty huge 😁Oh, one note, though there *are* tables here, its not really a eat in kinda place. The stools are too short for the tables, and youre better off standing and eating. So, either take-away, or StandAndEat...
I was blown away by how much I enjoyed Nish Nush. The fast service, cleanliness of the restaurant, generous portion sizes, value, and amazingly delicious food really make this place a home run!I went with three friends, we all ordered different dishes and they all looked amazing. I ordered the Deluxe Sandwich as a platter (which costs $1 more) and a side of seasoned fries and it was absolutely terrific! I would highly reccomend this restaurant and I will definitely be going again!
Fresh, full of flavour and filling. I got a deluxe pita which included all three of their falafel flavours made fresh to order. The salad and sauces were awesome and it all held together well. The restaurant is on the corner and opens to the street, I was alone so it was perfect to stop and watch TriBeCa go by
What a great find! This spacious and warm restaurant put nice effort into the atmosphere. The tables filled with dried chickpeas was a favorite. The menu is easy to navigate and offers great quality at lunch price! The Deluxe sandwich was superb. Each of the three falafels were crunchy on the outside with warm fluffy insides. The cucumbers and slaw were refreshing as well as the layer of hummus. The wheat pita provided was the perfect fluffy vessel to this light, yet heavy sandwich. I left feeling full but not bloated. PLEASE visit.
I ate the best falafel sandwich ever. This place is too good. I would have definitely tried more options if I were there for more days in NY. Especially the falafel platter looked very good when I walked by to order.I think it is a good place for vegetarian options point of view too. Many good and really delicious Mediterranean vegetarian options.
Quick and fantastic tasting veg food. Plenty of food in one of their sandwiches. Cool decor in and lovely and warm in the winter. Also there is loads of food in the pita sandwiches and the pita is constructed very well to keep all the food in, which means it’s very very easy to eat without making a big mess.
Its fine. Definitely is not authentic, more of a fast food cafe thats Mediterranean food. Not actually one countrys cuisine. Pricey and a bit bland. But vegetarian, and fresh. Went during Pride, and they were Pride-friendly. But calling themselves Israeli? Sorry, cant promote genocide and be Pride-friendly.
We tried their spicy falafel, classic falafel and falafel burger. Loved the falafel burger and everything else was tasty as well but have had better. Overall a perfect place to have a quick bite and tasty food. Staff is very helpful. Street parking around but might be difficult to find.
This place has amazing Mediterranean food and no kidding but I can have it every day of the week. I have tried most of the things from this place and their best dishes are the deluxe sandwich, hummus (very creamy) and baba ghanoush. Do visit you are in the neighborhood.
Decent place to get nice Israeli food! The food and drinks are decent! The place is clean, but however they have tiny seating area! The service is pretty fast and friendly! They have amazing falafel sandwiches, very nice salads! They have really good ginger and turmeric lemonade!
Cheap, fresh, flavor, filling. Amazing customer service.I ordered the platter that had variety and it was absolutely delicious. I would like to add, as I know mediterranean food, everything was fresh FRESH FRESH!! the chopped cucumbers were not chewy or soggy indicative they were made at least several hours in advance not overnight. It was spacious, clean, open, good energy spot! Great recommendation from Teddys guide cheers!
Great location and healthy choices for began and vegetarians! A great place for a quick bite. Try the vegan shawarma, their hummus is REALLY good not garlicky like some other places in town. They sell bottled beer and some of the beat all natural Giner Beer in town. Their service is great and they are very helpful. It can get a bit loud due to space and crowds, but it’s easy to avoid rush hour. Enjoy!
Amazing food and decent service! The food is always plentiful (especially the platters), fresh, and very flavorful. The sauces are a wonderful addition and I love the fact that there are additional sauce bottles on the tables. Their shakes are amazing aw well, especially the chocolate date. Just hope that they get a larger space with more seating as well as a location more uptown.
Nice surprise close to our hotel, this typical lower east side spot offers great food (do not miss the rice salad) and excellent coffee from early morning till late night. Prices are quite modest for the quality considering we are in NYC!! Very relaxed with nice music and great service. Do not miss it if you want try something original and typically lower east side!! Nice bar, great vibe. Food was amazing !!! But best thing they offer is definitely the fries! DON’T MISS ON THE FRIES
Managed to try Nish Nush out yesterday as it had been highly recommended. Definitely wasn’t disappointed. Being vegetarian Ive tasted quite a few falafels in my time and the ones served at Nish Nush are right up there. Loved all the super fresh garnishes served in my Deluxe sandwich too. Expect me to be a regular when Im in town.
Was looking for a veg friendly place for dinner in the area and Im so glad we came in here, price is good and you get plenty of super tasty food! Tasty food, super fast service, easy, friendly and nice atmosphere. We had hummus and falafel platter and a delicious sandwich, everything was good, but the whole wheat pita bread is one of the best I’ve ever had.
Hands down, the best falafel I have ever eaten. I recommend the deluxe pita sandwich. This features all three falafel varieties offered, spicy red pepper, spinach/mushroom and traditional. The result is three distinct chapters of deliciousness as you consume the sandwich. Fresh vegetables and an amazing roasted chopped eggplant round everything out. There is a great energy amongst the friendly and professional staff. While eating, I overheard the manager telling a guest how much he loves and appreciates his employees. I plan to revisit this place often.
Sadly disappointed. Ordered the falafel platter for lunch at work and the food was average 😐 ...definitely have had better Mediterranean food at other places around where I work. I think it also had to do with the spices used? The flavors just weren’t working for me. The falafels were ok - have also had better ones before (even at food carts like Rafiquis). Unfortunately won’t be ordering from here again.
They have falafel with different flavors and its always fresh. They very fast service and great customer service. During weekdays lunch they are crowded and busy but very efficient on getting your order ready and you out quickly. The lemonada drink is awesome, must try.
This place is special: The food is delicious and the service is superb. Im not a vegetarian but might convert after eating here.To my fellow carnivores: Give it a try. You wont be disappointed! I had the falafel trio (under 13 bucks). To the manager: GIve Karen a raise. She convinced me to stay, and Im glad I did!
My family and I went to this restaurant believing that it was just another Mediterranean restaurant. We hadnt eaten vegetarian Mediterranean food, and we were a bit skeptical at first. However, we were very suprised when we got our food---it was delicious! The humus and extra sides were incredibly good. There was one dish in particular that had a side of cauliflower that was cooked to perfection! It was sooo good. I would HIGHLY recommend this to everyone---even if youre not that big on veggies.
Woman at counter was very rude and seemed overwhelmed by her day. Doesnt mean you take it out on customers. Also mask policy was not mandatory which made me concerned to even stay. Would give this place ZERO stars if possible. Got to be careful during covid. Especially in a city with so many tourists.
Vegetarian falafel and Israeli / middel eastern food. Best falafel ever, with three flavors including one that is quite spicy. All the salads, hummus, labneh, taouleh, baba ganoush are quite good. Wide selection and reasonable prices, especially for Tribeca. Choice between whole wheat and regular pita. Large servings on platters. Comes with tahini dressing and pickles.
A large number of different varieties of small plate options are available at very reasonable and genuine price. I was little bit in hurry and I was hungry too, I came at this place and placed my order they served just in 20 minutes that was awesome and the food was too much delicious as well. Now, I want t recommend you guys go and try!
The speed at which the line moves here can be overwhelming, so be sure to look at the menu online or grab one the moment you get there so you can peruse it while in line. When it was time for me to order, though, the server was patient as I finalized my choices. Food was prepared in a timely fashion after ordering. The food was tasty.
Amazing falafels! They have varieties of falafel and it’s a delightful experience for vegetarians. They are quick and clean. For a place close to WTC it has ample space to accommodate at least 20 people. If you are around WTC then it’s a must visit. Highly recommend!
Ordered the classic falafel - priced very well. But the sandwich got very dry as soon as i went past the sauces on the top. The flavors were there and i liked the salad in the falafel too. Ill go here again but maybe ill ask them to put the sauces spread out towards the bottom and top...

The food was beyond expectations. Ordered the $13 falafel plate, which I initially thought was over priced until I received a loaded plate of food (half of which I took home because I was full!) The cashier who took my order was very friendly and was mumi tasking taking orders and helping Uber data pickup. Excellent service and food makes this place a must go to lunch/dinner any day of the week
Food is good served in time. The rustic look of the place is nice but a little cleaning required (Tables were sticky). I liked the place their high chair seating arrangement is okay ( not to comfy) can accomodate around 15 people or so. For a grab and go they serve good food and portion size. The location is accesible and well connected not sure about parking though.
Great place! I came here thinking it would be all white and clean and quick serve like most fast casual restaurants but this place looks downright cool. It has lots of character, wood and metal and looks generally bad-ass. I came for lunch, I had the shakshuka, which i recommend, theres a green chutney on the table and they give you pita with the dish. My friend had the falafel trio and I have to say the hummus was outstanding. Falafels were light and crispy too and everything tasted really fresh. I rarely make call outs to tomatoes, but the ones in the shakshuka were incredible.Ill be back Nish Nush. thanks for the Nosh!
The place is dirty, the table that we sat on was sticky and it was just next to the wall which was very dusty..... the falafel was also bland, no taste really...... also the vegan Shawarma needs improvenent, seems like it was tossed with Indian curry powder... and thats about it.
Finally checked this place out. I was a little meh on trying it as it displaced a local spot and it only seemed to serve falafel. Well, I should have tried it earlier because it is fantastic! I took a shot at the red chili pepper falafel sandwich which was delicious. The ingredients are fresh, well definitely taste fresh, and the prices arent too bad. You really feel as though you are getting high quality cheap eats because, well, its true. The falafel list is pretty extensive and they also have a platter menu -- heck, you can even blend your own hummus. On top of that, they have a nice selection of beers and make a few house specialty drinks (nonalcoholic). Be advised, coming during lunch can result in long lines and cramped spaces.
Altogether a nice place to get a falafel sandwich. I have tried their spicy falafel, which has a little bit of heat. They only have a choice of white or wheat pita bread, but their sandwiches come packed with veggies and a side of tasty pickles. A hip corner restaurant to visit for a quick bite, it may be better to call your order in ahead of time if you may be in a hurry.
Food is mediocre at best. The quality of ingredients is substandard, especially their breads. Service is uneven. This time was especially terrible. My friend was asked if his name is also that of a religious figure. He was asked where he’s from. The cashier’s behaviour was weird. Just plain weird. I’m never going back again.
Good healthy place to eat it while in Rockefeller Center. The menu is limited, but thats okay because you dont need many choices.I had the protein pick three combo and it was affordable. The naan bread would have tasted better if it was fresh, but the juices and other fresh choices made up the difference.
This is seriously the very best eatery you will find in downtown Manhattan. The decor, ambience, and authentic taste are unparalleled! The portions are huge with generous helpings of onside salads, and drinks are made while u wait. And to all those complaining about the one pita with the platter and then $1 for each additional, I say, get a grip on yourself. You would hard pressed to prove you can eat all that in one sitting, so between you and another friend or two I bet you manage to squeeze another dollar out of that pocket! Stop complaining and start living!
I now have a new found love of falafels. I had Purple Rain Salad. It was absolutely delicious. Maybe because I love beets and pecans. I git Kamlata olives added. It was generous portion with spinach, cucumbers and tomatoes. I tried the 3 types of falafels. I like the green the best. Im not sure if i had the spinach and mushrooms because i didnt taste either spinach or mushrooms. The only thing dislike is I dont have too much to choose from because i only like one type of hummus. I wish they have more flavors of hummus. It is pricer than I thought.
One of the worst representations of Israeli food Ive ever had. The basic flavors are there but the preparation and service are extremely lacking.Ordered a traditional dish called MESABACHA, supposed to be served warm (even says so on the menu) but what I received was a giant bowl of watered down, cold tahini with maybe 7 chickpeas in it. It came with one Pita, no fork, no napkins, frozen mint lemonade was much too icy to drink and it took 30 minutes before it melted enough to be drinkable.Service was also pretty impatient and annoyed with my requests for utensils. Probably not coming back here again.
I would give 3.5! not bad not magnificent but decent. The food is fresh and the roasted pepper falafel packed a punch of flavor but everything else just pretty much tasted the same, but I guess cuz Im still a meat fiend lol...Im sorry haha..Im trying to love vegetarian food though! The item I ordered was probably the most worth meal though, the Falafel Trio for $11. I shared with my friend and I was still filled up! Also, a bit hard to find a seat for lunch time!
This spot is my favorite falafel spot in all of NYC. I finally found a restaurant that makes kick ass falafel and a superb spicy shakshuka. The decor is cute with the tables having dried chickpeas in it and a very rustic exterior. The purple rain salad, deluxe sandwich and shakshuka is our go to meals here.Service is awesome with Shay - the owner, being on site and always happy to help out. So is his staff.
So Chris helped me. He gave me what I asked for but I had asked for the wrong sandwich. Well I tried his sandwich; the salad chick peas on wheat and I was blown away. I have a new favorite sandwich. I usually get the classic but the other one was better. (Im probably mixing them up again but)...get yourself a soup and a sandwich. Very Healthy.
This is a quick, yummy place to stop and grab a bite while shopping and/or working in the area.I had the Red Hot Chili (whole wheat pita with falafel, spicy hummus, Israeli salad and pickles). It was DELISH!! Everything was served perfectly - not too sloppy or stuffed in or pieces falling out as you bite into it.I also sampled the Cajun fries - now, as a person who LOVES spicy food, this was cute. If a dish doesnt have scotch bonnet peppers infused then it isnt hot at all in my opinion but for those of you who rarely eat spicy food, this maybe spark the palette a bit.Beer always goes great but I also had the homemade mint iced tea - very refreshing. Everything came up to $23 (spicy pita, Cajun fries, blue moon beer and iced tea). Thats a bit pricy but I guess thats the going rate for the area.
The platter is just a big bowl of hummus. Not nice, just stodgy and boring. Also when I bought it they suggested to me that I should buy more pita as it was a lot of hummus (before I found out that it was a big sloppy bowl of hummus - i thought it was just part of the platter). Give me a enough pita for the dish dont charge me $1 for 1 extra pita if you know you dont give enough. not good

2022-04-15Generous portions and flavorful falafel in many shapes and sizes. Spicy, spinach, and regular - all worth a try. Added bonus is the whole pita, not something you find in every Mediterranean restaurant. Seats a bit eclectic - and the chickpea tables inside may not be for everyone, but the food shines through!

2022-06-05The food was good, service was quick, portion sizes were good and it was affordable. Great place if you’re looking for vegan Mediterranean food. The Lemonana tasted good, but was a little too sweet. Outdoor seating is also nice and they have a water dispenser.

2022-03-13Absolutely delicious vegetarian/vegan Mediterranean/Israeli food. Their hummus tasted authentic. And enough room to sit down and eat. Very pleasant and upbeat vibe to the place. Felt like I was back in Tel Aviv.

2021-11-20Wow!!!! Delicious, fresh, generous portions, and great service! I ordered the Trio Falafel Platter and it was really quite impressive to open up! Everything is fresh and excellent quality. Nothing negative to say except I wish I had received more pickles! But aside from that, I will definitely recommend and will return to Nish Nush.

2022-02-23Excellent service at this location, food was fresh and served very quickly. Portions are great, and food was delicious. For vegan, gluten free peeps like me, this hit the spot without the worry. Not greasy. Just fresh and yum. Dont have the words but those two should be enough. I wish they had a Nish Nush in Brooklyn. Eyal Hen, Eyal Asulin, Shai Sudai call me, I would love to help open one in Brooklyn please!

2022-07-17Lunch time visit was a busy and frenetic take-out scene, lending a feeling of this must be good. Although high-boy seating is limited, Looking around, everybody had something that looked great. The menu is chock full of great selections.

2022-07-03Great hummus, falafel and Israeli salad Could be a little cleaner to my liking, but the food was nonetheless very good. Kosher certified. Would definitely go back. Give the place a try!!
