Downstairs bathroom sink was backing up when I used my upstairs kitchen sink - gross fetid smelly oily water was bubbling up from the downstairs sink drain. Since other drains in house were working, it wasnt main sewer line, but we couldnt use kitchen sink without downstairs sink overflowing. Looked on Yelp for well reviewed plumber, called for quotes - got crazy numbers, $500, $600 plus. Looked on google, found No.1 Sewer & Drain (Or Katz). He quoted me a good price that was appropriate for the job (diagnosing problem & snaking a drain) and said he wouldnt charge if he couldnt fix it. Our main line had a clog that I was not able to clear with a consumer-sized snake. Or cleared the clog and then took the time to make sure our entire mainline was clear from the back of the house all the way to the city main in addition to the plugged mainline trap that was causing the backup. He wasnt in a rush to be done and be gone. He even strategized different ways to get the job done so that he wouldnt wake up our baby that was sleeping in the basement room next to the area where he needed to work. Highly recommended.

No. 1 sewer and drain is a Class Act! I had some work done at my property to unclog a main sewer line, but that was not the root of my problem. So on the following day, No 1 sewer and drain came ....the technician was professional, responsive, took time to diagnose what the real problem was, and completed all work very satisfactorily. The work was complicated and involved removing and then reinstalling a toilet. But as I said, the technician was a professional I knew exactly what the problems were and explained everything along the way. I would highly recommend this company.

So we had a clogged toilet and tub in our condo and couldnt get any plumbing service to come out since it was after 1 am at night. Called the business answered fast and Katz was here in 30 minutes. My neighbor behind me had another plumbing service at her apartment at the same time so Katz coordinated with them so not to harm the pipes since we both are on the same line. So the other plumbing service couldnt fix the problem and left but Katz gave it a try on my side. He fixed the problem within 20 minutes pulling out massive amounts of babywipes clogged in the pipes from upstairs neighbors. Price reasonably charged for late night services. Very professional and all around likeable dude. Gave me a month warranty also. Will use again if ever in need.

2022-02-18Ohr came by within 20 minutes and didn’t stop until he cleared the clog in the shower and bathroom sink and also did me a favor and changed the trap quickly and stopped the leak.
