I am very happy and relieved there are sincere and caring doctors and staff left in the world! My kitty had a GI problem but the office was booked out and they couldn’t take her in on such a short notice but they kept calling me and asking how my cat is doing, and then called me again to convey they had an opening so I could come in! It was a while I’ve seen such professionalism and real love to animals but here!!! 100% recommend and will happily come back again.
Overall, this practice is decent. I’ve seen 3 doctors thus far. Both Dr. Abraham and Dr. Weinstock have been great. My experience with Dr. McBeans was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. SHE IS THE WORST!!! She was so rude to me and my son that I told front desk to note in my chart to NEVER ever book any of my appointments with her moving forward. It’s unfortunate she is the reason I can’t give them a better review. SHE NEEDS TO GO!!!
Their negligence killed my moms precious Siamese named Chayna. she kept rubbing the side of her head, so we brought her in to be checked. The vet said it was an ear infection. It was so difficult for us to put the drops in her ears so we took her back to the office each day for a week so the vet could administer her ear medication. It was worth the money because she was our baby. One morning my mom walked into the kitchen and started to cry and panic. Our cats right eye was popped out, so we rushed her back to the office. Well, they told us that she has a massive tumor in her head, which caused this tragedy. she was suffering and minutes away from death, so we had to put our Chayna to sleep. They knew it was way more serious than an ear infection. They should have checked further to see what was happening. Moreover, the vets cold and callous wife had a terrible attitude.
My bunny Otis passed away on December 9th 2018. She was 11 years old. I traveled from Bushwick for about 7 years of her life to come to this wonderful place. She was never ill until the last month of her life, but just regular healthy checkups the staff were always accomodating, helpful, and so sweet to her. It was also very affordable. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your wonderful care of my bunny boo boo. If and when I have get another bunny I will be sure to return back here!
Well today was the last straw and the last try to have this place redeem themselves. Ive had issues here with communication before. I was even scolded once by the receptionist because she claimed the groomer called to reschedule our appointment and insisted that they left a message on our phone. Mind you we showed up 15 ahead of our appt and the groomer had already left. Only for the groomer to call later and apologize because they called the wrong number. Today I brought our dog who hasnt been seen since right before covid and buzzed the door gave our name and was told ok....I waited out front for about 15 minutes with no info from inside. Lady walks up and buzzes they send someone out to take care of her and not a word for me. They even tell her that she can come in if shes vaxxed. Im officially done! The vets are nice and so are most of the staff but that front desk leaves A LOT to be desired. I was warned by others but I believe in giving people a chance to redeem themselves....no more....were done
Please DO NOT GO here!!!They are unprofessional, rude and Doctor told me my puppy was dying from internal bleeding and rushed us to ER in a horror (almost end up in car accident) where I spent lots of$$$ after we paid her also for wrong diagnose and false alarm $$$ ... puppy was totally fine!!! They put name wrong, they said I have to give up my puppy because he was aggressive to tech who did eye drops on him.. he is only 3 month. They sent me email about appointment and when I called , front desk said we never sent emails she has no clue even what they are doing!!! Dont take your pet there!!!!
Noahs Ark vet has been our vet for our Beautiful pets for many years now. They were n are Very caring about your Special family member. They were Great when our cat years ago was injured. Dr. Lori Weinstock was Truly Amazing in her Vet care to our Beautiful Cat. She has a Very gentle n caring way about her. She Truly loves your animal. She was Fantastic with our Big Dog years ago Bear. There staff is kind n Dr. Abraham is another caring Soul n Vet. I would recommend Noahs Ark. Richie is good at helping n calling in to check on your pet.
Worst vet ever. extremely unfriendly surly service . i took off work to my pet in after i made an appointment with them and when i showed up, they said they left a message to reschedule but they never did. in fact, just the opposite, i have their message saved where they confirmed the appointment. they are waaaay overpriced. another time, i brought my guinee pig in to be neutered and even though they charge around $600, they made me leave and go shop for some food to leave with them for the few hours they would be caring for the guinee pig. apparently, too cheap to spend a dollar worth of food out of the $600 fee. i will never go back.
The passing of a loved one is never easy. Our little pup was a constant member of the family for over 15 years. Putting her to sleep was a very difficult time and was crushing for my kids. The staff at Noahs ark acted with kindness, patience and compassion, tending to my families needs during this awful time. Thank you for your professionalism and commitment to making this process a little less difficult.
My dog Bella recently had an allergic reaction to some flea bites so I brought her to Noahs Ark since previously we didnt have a regular vet. Even in the midst of this covid epidemic the service I received was wonderful. Theres a wonderful woman from the south who in the office with the same breed as my dog who opened my eyes to a bunch of practices I could incorporate to severely benefit my dog. Overall, all staff members in the office I interacted with this day were wonderful, they were even able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. And to top it off, they called me the day after and sent me a welcome card in the mail. Great practice!
With Past Experiences in Finding a Nice Place & Most Importantly a good Vet , My Sister & I Were Very Pleased With The Front Desk Greeting..And With The Assistant & Most Importantly The Vet Dr Lori Weinstock ,A Pleasurable Experience & Care For My Sisters Cat Sonny Whos a Very Bad Diabetic... I Will Certainly Recommend,This Veterinary to Friends...Thank you All for Your Friendly & Personable Care ..... Sonny Thanks You Too.
Experienced and highly skilled staff. While working with my young rescue animal, the vet and her assistants were consummate professionals. She put my puppy on anti anxiety meds and our life together has been MUCH better ever since. They offer a variety of services at affordable rates. Initially, I gave them a shot because of their proximity to my home, I ended up being incredibly grateful to have moved into the neighborhood!
If I could give them 0 star review I would. The front desk is clueless, I called them 4 days before they scheduled me my appointment and asked them what the dog needs based on the information they have on him in his medical records. They told me the dog needed 2 shots and 2 medication, I asked them if he needs anything else specifically how much it costed with tax to make sure the specific amount to bring so I would save it for my pet a,they told me the amount and told me that should be all. They left a message for me days before my appointment to confirm that I was coming and to call back ASAP, I was at my work but I still called them back urgently 2 times and NO ONE PICKED UP! The day on my appointment it was a snow storm, I called them back again early in the morning to make sure my appointment was still there! I don’t have a car but I took a taxi to the vet and my appointment was exactly 12:15PM! They didn’t tell me there was bunch of people waiting outside in the snow for their pets to go in, they only allowed dogs inside with no owners so I wasn’t able to see what they were doing inside, I just saw a kid running around UNSUPERVISED when the pets were there. I was trying to let it all slide, but It got me when after my dog came out they told me they weren’t able to give me the other medication that We talked over the phone about BECAUSE he needed a scanning which was REQUIRED to be done in order for the other medication to be provided. I TOLD THEM MULTIPLE TIMES IF HE NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE REPEATED MYSELF AND CALLED BACK THE SECOND TIME TO BE 100% SURE. Not only they were not able to provide me the second medication BUT the total cost of everything without the medication turned out 100$ MORE than what THEY ACTUALLY TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE, Thank god Brought my Credit Card and didn’t bring cash with me OR ELSE MY PET WOULD’VE BEEN LEFT OVER WITHOUT MEDICATION!! I am writing so for the people to know what to expect when you get there!
My brothers dog had an ear infection they didn’t have an appointment for 5 days he asked if they could help him with some antibiotics they said sure. They called back saying they didn’t have any antibiotics in the whole place and couldn’t give him a prescription. They were probably worried they wouldn’t get their office visit money, very unprofessional, uncaring and unreliable
Its great to have a local vets office that you comfortable taling your dog to. Great staff. Love Dr. Lori. I feel like we work like a team to ensure my senior dog is at his optimum health. She takes the time to explain diagnoses and/or treatment options. I never feel like she is trying to up-sell me. The vet techs are great...Diane, Richie and others whose names are escaping me right now. My guys always gets pets and hugs. You can tell that animals are loved here.
I know for most people it sometimes feels hopeless taking your babies to see a veterinarian when youre in need. Often times people feel like theyre being taken advantage of. This was absolutely not the case when our boy almost died last year. The doctors at Noahs ark were honest and gave us many options, and ultimately saved our pups life. I genuinely feel like they loved our boy. and even weeks after he was well they made sure to call just to say hi and check up on him.
My 11 year old female cat Amity was brought in Tuesday morning because she had stopped eating. Noahs Ark gave me a next day appointment with Dr. Abraham after explaining her symptons. The staff was very accomodating, allowing me to use the restroom. X-rays and an exam revealed cancer of her lungs and a tumor below her belly. Dr. Abraham was decisive that euthanasia was preferable. I was allowed inside to be with Amity during the whole procedure. I thank Dr. Abraham and Noahs Ark for guiding me through a very unanticipated and traumatic experience.
I had a great experience and every employee I came in contact with was wonderful to my dog and I. The doctor who examined her was confident in stating what type of care my dog needed without being overbearing (Ive had some bad experiences, elsewhere, so I appreciate that a lot). My dog was treated carefully and I paid about as much as I expected to. My dog and I will definitely be back.
I recommended somebody to bring their dog here and it was a mistake. The dog kept getting a swollen eye and they were told it was allergies and given medicine to treat it. The eye wasnt getting better after a month of medication. They decided to get a second opinion and the dog had to go in for emergency surgery immediately for ulcers on BOTH of his eyes. Im not sure how you can mistake an ulcer for allergies. If they had waited a week longer the dog wouldve been blind. Theyve now wasted over 600$ on visits and medication and he was wrongly diagnosed.
My 10 year old cat got sick so I brought him to Noahs Ark to be examined. They perscribed pain meds, appetite stimulants, overnight boarding, antiviral meds, x-rays, and ultrasounds. Although I did everything they perscribed his health got much worse. I cant believe they would suggest someones pet for an ultrasound or an x-ray, but never suggest to take their blood pressure especially at 10 years old. He had a terrifying experience there! It was an absolute nightmare! It really saddens me that he could have dropped dead of a heart attack under their care. Please be careful not to bring your beloved pets to Noahs Ark. I am lucky that he is alive because I took him for a second opinion. My good friend referred me to a veterinary practice that specializes in only cats and rabbits. They diagnosed him with high blood pressure. It was that simple! Now he has the health, energy, and appetite of a kitten. As I am sitting here grateful that he is 100% recovered I am also urging people not to make the same mistake I made with trusting Noahs Ark.
Noah’s Ark may not be the least expensive place, but man is it worth it. The receptionists, the vet techs (especially Richie) are all super awesome, nice and helpful. Feels like family every time I take our 2 dogs there. Not to mention the Drs. They show care and passion for what they’re doing. I can’t recommend Noah’s ark enough
I cant believe I didnt come here first! Im new to being a dog mom and went to a different vet in the area. I cant believe I wasted my time and money at the other place. The front desk here is so pleasant and nice. Dr. Ford was kind and gentle with my dog, Zoey. Richie, the vet tech, was GREAT! You can just tell that everyone here absolutely loves animals. I felt like Dr. Ford was genuine and honest. I did not feel like she or anyone else there wanted us there just for our vet visit money.
My dog and I swear by this place!!! The doctors nursing assistants etc are professional knowledgeable and understanding. My only critique is I wish they would offer more discounts not only for new patients but reoccurring ones. After all my dog is my daughter and I wish I could afford more test and medicine but unfortunately it becomes pricey.
When I first started going there almost 5 years ago I felt like I was appreciated and welcomed into the Noahs Ark Family. Now everytime I take my dog in for a routine visit (ie vaccinations and shots) They always find a way to get more out of the visit and its not just that they are being thorough. I just went there for my dog to have a routine check up and yearly vaccination and I left with a 500+ bill. I call after and the Doctor wont even get on the phone nor will she call me back. They take advantage of you and act as though they are doing you a favor by letting you bring your dog or cat to them. Very sad this place went downhill very fast.
I came here to put my sick old dog to sleep. It was a very sad experience but this veterinary practice provided support and truly cared. I came here because of the many good reviews and I am glad I did. They allow me to take my time with my dog. The doctor had a genuine conversation and explained why he supports my decision. They provided me with a clay print of the paw print of my dog at no expense. Thank you for your service. I highly recommend this veterinary.
I boarded my cat in this place for 12 days, I was deceived by the good reviews about other services they offer. In my case my cat got sick in this place. He was in perfect health when I left but when I picked him up he got a cold virus that I have to take care in other place since I wouldn’t bring him to this place ever again.
Noahs Ark is an excellent facility that truly cares about your dog, cat, et. al. Staff has called me, following up to see how my dog Leia was feeling after receiving a flu shot. I did not get this level of professionalism from my prior vet. Staff is courteous and professional. I am most comfortable bringing Leia here!
I have been taking my pet here for more then 2 years. i always felt so comfortable taking her here, but last week i take her here because she had runny eyes. the doctor diagnosed her with a upper respiratory infection. she prescribed her antibiotics . 2 days after she started taking these antibiotics, she stops eating and drinking and became very lethargic. i called again and they told me to stop the medication immediately. she did not have a reaction to the medication alone, they said they forgot to give her the pro-biotics as well which is the reason she became so much more sick. i brought her back and they had to give her a shot for fluids because she stopped drinking water because she was so sick. it was not just the doctor who forgot the probiotics, it was the vet technician as well.now that she is taking the probiotics, she is back to her old self.
I am very disappointed with the staff at Noahs arc. I called to speak to the doctor several times and never received a call back. I was in the office earlier in the day and the vet saw my dog and she was well aware of the severity of the situation and still did not have the decency to return my call. I have been taking my dogs there for years and I thought they had more respect for their patients. I will be going somewhere else in the future.
The staff at Noahs Ark are a pleasure to work with. Used to be a Marine Park resident and would bring my foster dogs to see Dr Laurie.Nowdays as a volunteer for AMA animal rescue working with the staff Dr Laurie & Dr Abrahams has been an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend anyone looking for a vet that will deliver high quality service to check them out.
Best Vet in Brooklyn. I bring my Guinea Pigs here anytime they have a problem and for there check ups. They are always very thorough an nice, Dr. Abraham always does a great job, and they are always very good at following up. My only recommendation is that it seems like they dont check there voicemail as often as they say so i recommend calling back if there want an answer ~Chocolate & Grayson
Im a 7-year customer of the clinic and recently visited noahs ark to get my dog vaccinated and general check up. first of all, it was a prolonged waiting time before we were invited to the room and then another half an hour wait time there. then dr. Abraham/ who was usually very attentive and looked thoroughly at my dog all over, even checked on nails and cut it (not this time), spent five minutes and left. i also purchased nexgard for $130. once i got home, i found out a price for the box is in the range $92-$ 98 offered from online pharmacies. of course noahs ark refused to take it back. i suggest to search the prices for medications online first and then ask for prescriptions. doubt if i ever bring my dog there again.
My brother brings his dog Daisy all the way to Brooklyn from Staten Island as Dr.Abraham is the only vet he trusts with her. Noahs Ark has been amazing to him, always putting Daisys care and well being above everything else. If it wasnt for Noahs Ark and the AMAZING staff Daisy may not be alive today, She was very sick from the first week they had her, BUT due to the professional, well educated staff they were able to determine the problem and get Daisy back to health, and now 6 months later she is alive and healthy and a very loved member of our family.
Noahs Ark is great! came in with my dog just to get weighted and asked them a question about what to do about my dog butt problem. It was coming up to the holiday for Dr. Lori and so She took care of Sunny before she left. So grateful because Sunny was not doing the normal signs of scooting on the floor.
Warm & friendly front deskIt just so happened that I got Dr. Lori Weinstock who is down to earth, loving to her patients, & Sincere...She felt my dogs throat ,gave her a good Examination and didnt feel anything, which she thought it wasnt necessary to do an X-ray...She conversed with me as the owner of my dog ,& asked what type of food shes on & complimented on how great my dog looks ...Next day I got a call from her asking how my dog was doing & if I notice any unusual behavior or anything,to call for a check up...Shes thorough in Examination & not quick to give X-ray for expense wise ..More Drs should be like her...I hope she can be my dogs Dr. for many years to come..
Heard from Dr. Miriam Solomon that Dr.Weinstock.bUt. Solomon helped us with our 2furry daughters adopted from NSAL in 92..Shani lived and loved and played until she was almost 16 1/2 yrs when singing to her in my arms at NYC s Animal Medical Center where they were all were amazing to all of us until my Shani aka Peanut Warrior Princess crossed over with the our hearts never really healing. :) Thank you to all there esp Dr.Elizabeth Cole cardiologist and Dr.Bonzynski who did a laporoscopy to find my baby girl had 2gall bladders unbeknowst to all esp me and my hubby. She overcame congestive heart failure on one side and ,pancreatic cancer? Anything! She gently crossed in my arms . Thanks again to Dr.MIriam Solomon . HAVING driven from Bidawee in Wantaugh to my home in Brooklyn back to NYC Animal Medical Center.Thank youagain Dr.Miriam Solomon driving. from Bideawee out on Long Island to pick me up in Brooklyn with food ,toys, and a can of tunacan of tuna and a camera to take aca picture of me and my shadow:). Thank u
This place ripped me off I have spent over 500 dollars to find out whats wrong with my cat Ive been therr 3 times in the last month and the cat is still sick and they continue to charge me for the visits when its been the same issue I was told that they needed to test for all these things that cost and they still have no idea why hes still sick but at least they are getting money I took all my animals records and left there!! Im done!
All they do is switch the prices on you every time you call and they never call you back and the guy in the front claims he dont remember talking to you so his excuses to change the price on you! Ive been going there for years and they treat me like a first-time customer I think about it thats pretty bad if thats how you treat a first-time customers
I wanted to leave my dog for boarding in this place and i was informed that i need to have a vet exam before that. When i was waiting the assistant rushed towards me and my dog (trained as a guard) responded with barking .After command he calmed and we proceeded to the exam.Another lady came in,didnt introduced herself and performed the exam.It lasted 2 minutes. After the examshe told me that when I was waiting she contacted the owner and he refused my dog for boarding. The bill for this BS was $90.So,im curious why to do the exam if i would be refused anyway?yes.almighty dollar.Dishonest people.Stay away

2022-05-18Dont do it!!The worst of the worst! Were very thankful that our dog was healthy over the years and didnt need much veterinary care. Whenever he did, though, there were several strange instances at Noahs Ark. He left with a limp after having his teeth cleaned, and we were lied to about several tests being done incorrectly. Just two weeks ago, they were going to sedate our dog to take blood from his jugular without even telling us.Very sadly our dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer last month, and we did what we could to keep him comfortable. Through a very hard time, Noahs Ark nickle and dimed us. They sold us very expensive medication that had to be halved, and then charged extra to have the pills cut in half, claiming that the vet techs dont work for free. Maybe the owner should pay them then? I dont understand what that even means. We just wanted to help our dog though so we paid to have the pills cut, and were given a single cut pill and a bunch of dust.We were shown no compassion throughout the entire ordeal, as they tried to get more and more money out of us, and Dr. Abraham yelled and cursed at us in the waiting room when we asked about the unprofessional treatment. Totally and completely unacceptable. Were not at all surprised by the other negative reviews. Dont trust Noahs Ark with your pets.(Just wanted to add that Dr McBean is great and we hope she opens her own practice someday. If you have no other choice but to go to Noahs Ark, make sure you see her!)

2022-07-03I have nothing but positives to say about Noah’s ark, from the professionalism, to the skill and care that they have given my pets… doctors are extremely knowledgeable and caring. They have this one young lady, I believe her name is Jessica who provides the utmost care and concern when I had questions

2022-04-14Front desk lady was very unpleasant, told my husband and the whole office doesnt have an extra mask and made him wait outside, my husband saw her give someone a mask shortly after telling us there was none. After paying $500 cash out of pocket they can atleast provide a mask to people that are literally paying their salaries, regardless if its cash or insurance. but lying about it definitely did not help. Also didnt really appreciate that it required 3 people to hold down an 8 pound cat to draw blood and still had to re do it 2-3 times because the needle kept slipping out and now thay area is swollen. I feel like that could have been avoided...with 3 ppl.

2022-04-10This place continuously tries to rip you off. Every service has multiple charges that add up out of nowhere. They will never give you a quote over the phone in the hopes that by the time you get there you will just pay $$$. By the time you get the bill there will be “add on” fees for things you never thought you needed. Avoid this place unless you don’t mind being cheated out of your hard earned money.

2021-05-09Noahs Ark is an absolutely amazing veterinary practice. Everyone is so kind and cares deeply about each and every animal who walks in the door. They took care of my dog Dutch when he was at AMA Animal Rescue and continue to love and take care of him now that he has found his forever home. Dr. Weinstock is so patient, kind, and supportive.

She gave my sick boy the best care and he is feeling much better the next day after his treatment and the advice she gave me for his diabetes. Jinx and I thank you!

2022-01-25My dog had something on the roof of his mouth I was concerned about. They wanted to sell me over a thousand dollar job for anesthesia and dental cleaning and when I told her I’m handling it with scaling and brushing now that I can’t afford that, she told me she can’t tell me if anything is wrong with the roof of his mouth. This place is all about money. The Animal clinic, which is a couple of blocks down, is a much better place. He’s actually a medical veterinarian instead of these young people that if they don’t sell their procedures then they won’t even give you an answer on the medical exam.. my advice go somewhere else
