Honestly, this place is really cool and posh and fun, but there were a lot of little things about my room situation that made me disappointed. My AC was broken and it got up to almost 80 degrees and I had someone come and reset it but it still didn’t work. My room didn’t come with little toiletries - I had to ask for them. My room also didn’t have a trash can anywhere in it, which was strange! The TV had instructions on the main screen in order to do certain things but all the paths lead to a “no signal” screen so ?? But overall I mean you can’t beat that view! Still worth it.
Positive: Great location. Amazing restaurant right inside hotel as well. Negative: I had called to verify that I could get an early check in, as I was coming in off a red eye. The response was ¿there should be no problem with that.¿ I arrived and the hotel staff said that they never make promises over the Phone. So disconnect th
The hotel has a great location with walkability to lots of casual bites and good bars and restaurants, and is itself on a quiet street (of course the soundscape of NYC permeates). The style of the rooms is very cute, but attention to detail with upkeep could be better. Still feels clean, fresh, and comfy. The views from our 23rd floor corner room are insane! From the look of the building exterior, most rooms have similarly fantastic floor-to-ceiling windows and full city views. So awesome. And the windows even open a bit for fresh air!!!Also, they have room service available!
Most of the staff were FANTASTIC! LOVED Kevin and Johnny in the bar. Great service and winning personalities! However the Thursday night person at the main desk was rude and unnecessarily curt. We did not have bottles of water in our room. We had 3ppl in the room and had to call for more towels, top sheets and water. The room was extremely hot on Thursday night. Ac not good. The security guy on Saturday morning was by far THE rudest!!!
The location and view from the room were 5 star, but everything else was mediocre at best. The walls are paper-thin and our room in particular had a huge gap at the door sill, so you could hear everything that is going on in the hallway. The HVAC unit inside the room is super loud, so if you are a light sleeper, you will have trouble going to sleep. Bathroom amenities were pretty cheap and the room itself didnt feel that luxurious at all. (Stayed in premium queen)
If I had a chance to go back and choose a different hotel, I would! This place didn’t even provide water or coffee in the hotel rooms and housekeeping stole my glasses! In addition the room was really cold and the phone wouldn’t shut off without us slamming it. Furthermore, my boyfriend never got his deposit refunded and it’s been over a week. This is ridiculous and I highly discourage anyone from picking this place. There are so many nicer places for the same price in New York and the area. I also forgot my lululemon leggings which are 100 dollar leggings in the hotel room by accident the last day we were packing to leave and when I called the front desk to ask about my leggings they brushed me off and wouldn’t help. They would try transferring my callTo housekeeping but nobody would pickup abs nobody would check lost and found for me. I am aggravated. If I could give this place zero stars I would because they don’t even deserve one star. I hate theirs and liars.
We have been coming to New York City at least once a year for 14 years and wanted to try a new hotel this time. Unfortunately we got a not so good hotel. The first room was still dirty (old food in the closets and on the nightstand) at the second room then the key did not work. The key was reprogrammed. Unfortunately, however, the room safe was locked, so not usable. We called first thing in the morning at 8:00 and they said they would send someone. The safe is still locked in the evening, so unusable. In addition, it is very noisy, you can hear everything from the hallway, etc.. So unfortunately this hotel is not for us! So we can not recommend it, and also do not book again!
This place is a gem in the midst of downtown. The views from the room are fantastic and shows both downtown and Brooklyn. The room itself is super small and compact. I booked through Amex Hotels program and got a good deal here. I would recommend the hotel downstairs for top class breakfast. The in room entertainment system is configured perfectly for you to easily stream Netflix. There is excellent connectivity from Canal street station to all places in Manhattan.
This is the worst hotel experience ever!!! What you are paying for this hotel, you can definitely get a better experience. The pictures look nice on Google and the place has high rating on Google. I highly doubt at the Google reviews now. They were saying that bottle waters are provided for your room, but there was no water in the room and you had to go downstairs to restaurant and ask for the water. The receptionist made you feel so unwelcome. Their services are so bad. We were trying to call the phone to order room service, they took a long time to pick up the phone, and instead of helping us after so many attempts of calling, they told us to scan the QR code to order, and of course there was no QR code in the room.
Never written a review in my life yet, unfortunately, here we are. The general stay at the hotel was fine. However, while standing in line to check out, my boyfriend and I witness the front desk man, Chris, very poorly handling a debacle with two other ladies - yelling and talking down to them then calling security on them. He then proceeds to raise his voice at the next woman who was next in line who was merely requesting a late check-out. The two women from before begin telling him to quit taking out his anger on this third lady. Then it’s our turn. I ask to check out of our 3-night stay that we’ve PREPAID. “That’ll be $2,400.” I begin to argue that I have a receipt and bank statement where I have paid for this reservation. Chris continues to belittle and brush me away so that he does not have to deal with any more complaints. I still have not received a call regarding why they were wanting to charge me $2,400. Very unprofessional and unfortunate ending to our otherwise pleasant stay. If your job inconveniences you to the point of taking your frustration out on your guests, I’d say it’s time to find a new career path.
Super tiny room; you cant see the TV if you open the closet, and two people can barely pass one another without colliding. No place for suitcases. Curtains dont close all the way. Wasnt clean when I arrived - there was a hair in the sink (gross). No cups by the sink (or anywhere) for tooth brushing or getting water. Ordered room service using their website; very disappointing. Theres no way to add a note, so you cant personalize your order at all (you get what you get, I guess), and the food came with no napkins, underdone fries, and the beer was warm. Asked for ice (thought Id bury the warm bottle in a bucket of ice for a while); the hotel literally called me to inform me that THEY HAVE NO ICE. Ive never heard of a hotel without ice in my life. (If I had ordered a cocktail, how would they have made it?) Wouldnt return - cant recommend.
It was ok. The positive is they have cool art, and the location is good. But the rooms are tiny; the walls are thin so you hear your neighbors and they surprised us with an amenity fee of 40$ per night extra, which seems very shady. This was never mentioned when I booked through Hotwire. That bothered me so much that I will not be back.
Nice restaurant with a cool ambiance and the food was great. The lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing!! The place was full but the staff were attentive and never forgot about us. Likewise our food came out very quickly (I was impressed). First time going here but I would definitely go back.
Good 4 star hotel with one the best views I have experienced in new york downtown. Even the bathroom has a view! Right next to Canal Street metro station and has a lot of food joints around. Why it rated only 4 was due to few things: lack of staff, check-in is on separate floor from ground lobby, no water bottles, shampoo and soap were meh, most frustrating is the AC its either too cold or too hot, and the room was small but thats downtown. So net overall, good stay and if in budget go for it as the views were mesmerizing.
Never in my life have I ever felt the need to post a review, I booked a room to stay there for a couple of nights but we had to leave within hours of checking in to stay elsewhere. When we arrived and checked in, the staff was really nice and accommodating but thats about it (hence 2 stars). The room itself was way under sub par for a 4-star hotel, the headboard itself was scratched and showed some places were torn (as in the headboard fabric itself). The walls are very thin and the bathroom has a weak thin glass as a door, and the room was very very tiny. For a hotel, they lack basic in-room amenities. There was absolutely no fridge, no water, no coffee, the counter under the TV had dirt spots. All the furniture looked very heavily used. We ordered some food and we received everything packaged in weak containers to eat from and missing utensils. Normally, were able to accommodate to wherever we stay while traveling but the hotel rating and pictures shown online are really different to what the real state of the property is.
For the money I was pretty disappointed in nomo. The location was great, was near a lot and close to my work. Neighborhood felt pretty safe. Hotel was nice, and most important clean. I was excited based on pictures and other reviews. Once I opened my door however that all changed. Room was soooo tiny. The door opened to the bed pretty much and that was it. The room was very clean and decor was pretty nice but a few things made me very upset inpaid so much for this room. First, the veiw. I was under the impression this had a 360 veiw or atleast a nice balcony to go on fir amazing shots of the city. Instead I got a room facing lower manhattan with nothing speakable to see like it was advertised. I had to smash my face against the corner of the window to see a small glimpse of the trade tower. The sunset was nice though and I attached that picture below. You can clearly see from my pic, its nothing like the views advertised. If you want those views, you have to pay for a penthouse Im guessing. The shower was decent though and the main highlight of the room was the TV being modern with chrome cast so I could stream Hulu from. I found no vending machine or Ive machine. They did give me two bottle of warm water, but when those were drank, were done get more? Room had nothing it such as a spare pillow or extra blanket. The bed was very hard, I think a homeless guy I passed had a softer bed. The maids were awesome though, very sweet and considerate. I did not ask them for anything, but Im certain they would have gotten it for me if I did. Now the resturant. Im not sure why chefs think they can serve tiny portions of strange combinations and change 80 bucks a plate for it and call it food but this place is the exact definition of that. Not a single thing on the menu I would eat or even try, ibealked 3 minutes away to a large selection of great restaurants and food, much cheaper and a true 360 veiw like I was advertised. The resturant decor was nice though. I did not check out the fitness center, and I doubt there was anything else worth exploring. For 400 bucks a night I expected way more and a much better experience. I will not be staying at nomo again, I am very thankful in fact I was traveling solo as there would not of been room for two people. I recommend many other hotels in the area for a better experience at a cheaper price. Id like 50 percent of my bill refunded.
The hotel is in great location, the rooms were clean and staff was polite but inattentive. I was there for three nights and every time that I left my room I had to have security key me back in because locks reset. They had maintenance in once but then never again. It seems like an stupid problem to complain about, but after long days of work meetings, and longer evenings of working online to catch up for the day was a major annoyance to not be able to just go your room and unwind. It was evident that the staff was not concerned with resolving the issue and it was easier to just apologize half heartedly then actually doing something about it. This is a SoHo hotel not a Motel 6…. I expected better.
I love this place. I stomped around Soho and loved staying here. They have a kitchen and a bar on the entranceway. You simply pass through the greenery and turn into the restaurant. It is quite beautiful due to artwork surrounding you and the greenery. The high open ceiling is also very sweet. The lights at night are also a nice touch, and its always filled with lovely people. The service is very good. The food is also delicious. You may pass some great art pieces and photographs of some infamous pioneers. The rooms are delightfully comfortable and inviting. Theyre also very clean. People are quite respectful, and I found it quite peaceful. The area is safe; its quite nice to find some cool gems on the go. Nomo Soho is great at providing excellent customer service for a great stay. Its an excellent blend of modern design meets inviting. 10/10
We stayed here for one week. I guess I’m more use to the Swedish standard because this wasn’t the very best.I mean, nice lobby but the rooms.. white and cold. Why so much love in the lobby but not in the hotel rooms? We had first a room at floor 17, but on day four we had ants in the bed??? We called the reception and they came with new keys to floor 7. They didn’t offer any help with our luggage and when we woke up in the morning in room 7 it smelled cigarette in or whole room. Awful! And the room was identical to the first room. Boring and also sad that they couldn’t like give us something better when we had to pack or bags in the middle of the night to switch room. But I had some hope. Maybe they would give us some discount when it was time to check out. But no.. they said anything, they didn’t even asked us how our stay had been.Okey location but everything els? Naaah..
Unaccommodating and rude service and unimpressive rooms without all the amenities that you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location but you have plenty of better options that will not ruin your stay. Not staying here again.
The main reason to stay at NoMo Soho is Kevin, who works the bar in the restaurant, and his colleagues. Kevins affable personality and his and his co-workers kindness and attention to their customers make staying in what are otherwise small hotel rooms worthwhile. The same can be said for the hotel staff who service the rooms and the front door and desk staff.
NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL! This place is all marketing and will scam you. Its much smaller than the pictures suggest. The amenities were awful including the cheap toilet paper, the uncirculated hot gym thats sometimes out of water, poor desk for working, slow complimentary internet, no fridge, and no room coffee/tea. Did I mention how small the room was compared to the pics? Theyll nickel and dime you every chance they get. Nice view tho.
The hotel has great views but the positives end there. We stayed for a weekend and found out the bathroom shower had a huge leak from above. Hotel was nice enough to switch us to another room, but we somehow only got a Queen bed when we originally had a King.Everything in previous reviews about thin walls is true. On Sunday morning around 9am there was non stop noise outside our room for more than 30min.A couple days after checkout we realize we left a coat in the closet, tried calling to ask and got no answer. After going in person to the hotel they said nothing was ever found. Front desk was extremely unhelpful and had major attitude. Hands down the worst experience ever at a hotel. Don’t know what else to say.
Location, roomsize, cleaning, overall decoration and atmosphere. The hotel is nearly without service. No doorman, even to help carry the luggage, no room service to deliver any food, no refrigerator in the room even to put water for cold drinking, no coffee machine... to be able to eat or drink anything you have to leave the room go down etc. Cleaning services were very good, everyday towels are changed, rooms are kept clean at all times.
The location is greatThe lobby restaurant and staff superb but I have to say the standard of room is poor the decoration is tried looking there was numerous broken things in the roomThe shower door never stayed closed without something wedge into it the tv was not straight on the wall the curtains had holes in them the toilet twice in the week did not flush the noise from the next room was horrible some nights might have well been in the room with us not coffee making facilities or a mini fridge overall I’d say at max a 3 star ⭐️ and only 6 out of ten
Positive: The interior decor and the location. Negative: Loud persistent sirens that lasted for hours (not police/fire/ambulance type). Locked in bedroom and had to call security to let us out. Extremely loud inside - doors slamming, people talking - very thin walls. $45 daily fee.
Not a 4 star hotel as advertised for a few reasons: (i) no security, anyone can walk in and there is a hot instagram spot in front, so expect crowds. I actually witnessed a junky trying to get a room at the reception, (ii) no minibar in the room or any amenities, even if you want to pay for them, (iii) terrible terrible terrible room service. Greasy small pizza for 20 usd, a diet coke just dropped without a glass, knapkin, ice, nothing. In addition, room is OK, shower is acceptable, bed is comfortable but almost too soft for me. Wifi was OK. Staff is not too friendly either and check-in hours are ridiculously late at 4pm.
AVOID. Terrible customer service. I’ve now called nearly 30 times requesting a hotel receipt. The people at the front desk on May 24 from 9a-10a repeatedly hang up on me or transfer me to mailboxes that are already full instead of trying to help.Worst customer service.
Spent three days in the week leading up to Christmas in an executive suit. We liked the overall service and vibe. But we did wish there was tea/coffee maker/mugs/spoons/ and bottled water in our room. The sinks are separate from the bathrooms and we thought it was strange. The corridors can get really dark at night too. But everything else was ok. Enjoyed our stay.
Positive: Decor was fresh and trendy, the location was excellent and the dining options in the downstairs cafe were lovely. Negative: System was down when we were checking in, led to long waits & the necessity of having someone let us in our room because the keys didn¿t work. Later they gave us programmed keys, but less than 24 hours later, those failed too. A hassle, but not tragic.
The worst hotel experience in my life. It ruins my thanksgiving holiday. It costs me about 250 dollars each night, but I feel it worth only 50 dollars.First, thin thin wall! I can hear people talking all night!!!Second, no firm pillow. The pillow is painful for me, and they don’t have a more firm pillow option, which should never happen in a four star hotel!!!Third, lack of appropriate things in room. No toothbrush(you can call to let them bring, but the quality is bad) no plastic cup. Cheap and tiny shampoo. cheap and tiny conditioner. Tiny everything! Also, no microwave.Last!!! Super bad wifi. Download speed super slow. Unless you pay 9.99(and I am not even sure if it will improve the speed that much)Not sure why it could be considered a four star hotel.
Great location in Soho! Rooms are much smaller than those uptown, but the bed was super comfortable. Restaurant was great and we had very fast dinner service. Pull-out sofa was horrible. Cigarette burn holes in it and very uncomfortable. Even our kids were miserable on it. Front desk was very responsive and anything we called for was handled immediately. Would recommend for a couple, but not for more than two people in the room.
Positive: The hotel had great character, the decor was excellent and for NYC the room was of decent size. The daily cleaning was done very efficiently and the front desk set great expectations. Negative: Location was excellent however there was a overcrowded Italian Festival happening that made it impossible to move around certain areas near the hotel for half the stay - I think knowing that in advance would have been good - but not the hotels fault
Beautiful place and rooms, poor service. At $500/night you shouldnt have to run down to the restaurant to pick up ice when youre on the 19th floor. You also shouldnt have no water cups in the room and have to ask for them. No lotion and teeny tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Thin pillows and no sheets, just a comforter. You cant even get breakfast Monday through Wednesday, not even coffee! No coffee in the room, either. The heating/cooling unit also shouldnt be so caked up with dust that it blows dust into the room and irritates your nose (see pics). Also I agree with what another reviewer said, thin walls, very easy to hear obnoxious people in other rooms. I had trouble sleeping because of this.Housekeeping came through our room even though we had the do not disturb sign on.Proof that expensive hotels arent worth it. Glad we got it through a third party deal. They need to hire more staff and pay them better. It is worth noting all the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and fantastic to be around. The issue is just management I believe. Probably your typical stingy owners and management that refuse to pay staff good wages and then complain about a labor shortage.
Positive: Love the location, the room was very clean, staff were pleasant and solutions oriented. The onsite restaurant was also very good. Negative: The room was very tiny - I didn¿t love the layout in real life. I didn¿t like the dark lighting in the hallways. I think overall I just expected much more
Great location, front desk in first floor, entrance on Ground floor.Room a bit sterile, no art on the walls, no usb outlet. Not friendly on the phone when double checked reservation- I did not received an invoice email or even paper one at the end- got my key deactivated before check out time.Restaurant: nice & vibrant ambiance, food was average.
Stayed here in july 2021. First the door would jam and i would have to struggle trying to open the door for like 5 minutes. When i called for them to help me it took over 10 minutes for someone to come, and they saw that the door was faulty and also struggled to open the door. The room was filthy. Stains everywhere. When i went to shower i saw that there was black mold/ dirt in the tiles of the shower and i lightly scrubbed it and it came off so clearly no one is cleaning after the last guest, who knows how long that was building up there. Walls are super thin i felt like i had to whisper so the other guests dont hear me. Not worth it.
The property is in a wonderful spot, on the edge of Soho on a quite spot of Crosby.Second stay on the property... and I feel the hotel is slowly sliding.Rooms are a little tired, our first suite was on a lower floor and needed some love (worn furniture, and rough around the corners). Our second suite (after request for change) was better. Views are great and the space is comfortable.Front desk service was nothing fantastic... our cleaning staff was phenomenal.Little disappointed that no early check in was available.
My husband and I stayed at Nomo Soho this past weekend (Thursday - Saturday) to celebrate my birthday. First of all, the rooms, hotel lobby/hallways, entryway and bar/restaurant area are all so chic, gorgeously decorated and clean. All staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was stunning, we had 2 minor issues and staff were very responsive and fixed everything right away. The food at the restaurant for dinner was delicious. The bartender on Friday night was so friendly and chatted with me for over an hour while I waiter for my husband to join me. If you are staying in Soho this is the place to be - no questions asked. An unforgettable experience beginning to end. Thank you Nomo Soho!!!
This hotel is very bad ,the room is small service is suck . Room is so dirty penthouse is like so bad to be honest this hotel is not even one star ⭐️. Don’t let the look fool u on google and this hotel need a remodel is bad . Is not the money ,but I don’t think the ph room worth it is worse then a regular room at any other hotel .so don’t waste ur money money there
Would not really recommend staying at this hotel. It looks like they spent a lot of money on the outside and not much in the rooms. We had a nice sized room but our dresser was cracked and there was broken glass. There was no counter space in the washroom and the layout was quite questionable. Staff at check in failed to communicate important information to us. They charted a resort fee of over $100, and also put a hold of $500 on my credit card.. was never notified about this. They also failed to mention that we get $15 credit to the restaurant or room service, and only mentioned this on my last day after complaining about my credit card charge. Staff do not make note or communicate with one another, as the staff kept addressing the same things to me multiple times. Ive never had a problem at any other hotel stay, but I would definitely suggest staying elsewhere.
The worth hotel ever the worth customer service the guy in the front desk was the most unprofessional and disrespectful and horrible ! The rooms are small and horrible !! The name of the fronts desk is Criss he didn’t wants to gime me the last name !! He scream to all the people are in the place ! He say the manager is not here and he talks horrible with everyone
Perfectly situated in the city for what I had planned. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit worn out, needing some areas of upkeep across the property.Touch up paint, wash the windows, especially the glass top roof in the restaurant. The views from my room were OUTSTANDING!The room itself was a bit tired and needed a refresh, as did all parts of the property that I experienced.
Worse night sleep I’ve ever had. Do not stay at this hotel. Walls are paper thin and not only regular NYC street noise, but also some type of generator that has sirens all parts of the night. If I could give the hotel 0 stars I would. Mattress hard as a rock. Management unable to switch rooms as they oversell as a business practice. Super cute entryway none the less.
Positive: The location is great. The lobby is nicely decorated. Negative: The room lacked conveniences like cups and hotel guide book. The fridge had to me moved to a different outlet to function. The first room we were assigned wasn¿t completely cleaned. Looked like someone has used it for a nap, toilet and shower.
The walls are paper thin, the room was not as big as expected. I got the premium king. But the view is beautiful. I love the set up and all the mirrors. I enjoyed my stay, I did not like the customer service, the female staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. I felt uncomfortable asking questions. I would book again if I needed another weekend away. The view was probably the best part. The fridge was leaky when I finally found it and the bathroom was always cold even when I put the heat to its highest.
I love love love this hotel! Beautiful decor, clean rooms and pleasant staff. The view from the premium king room is amazing and the room overall was so unique and modern. We ate at the restaurant and the staff and food was great and it’s the perfect space to take pictures and just relax. Will definitely be back.
I have stayed in Nomo Soho 4 times. This hotel has one of the best locations and the best views in Manhattan. This last time wasnt as good of a stay because it seems that they are understaffed. Front desk wouldn’t pick up the phone, charged me twice and only got 1 pillow lolThank god for Josephine that made everything better at the end! I will stay again but they need to step it up a bit!
I was suddenly upgraded to a beautiful suite for no extra cost.... for a tiny incident (that wasn’t even a big deal for me)...This was so amazing!!! I loved that room so much, I wish I could stay and live there ...The view, lighting, bathtub with a view to the city, closet space....That room was definitely a dream come true...I have other times stayed in the regular rooms, but their suites are the best (specially if you are a female)...I wish I could add that extra star...
I am somewhat dissatisfied with my stay in the hotel. In general, the room was cozy and the view was beautiful but the staff was not that nice. The lady receptionist was really rude during our check-in. She had very bad attitude. There were no complimentary water in the room. For breakfast we had ordered the triple spicy chicken sandwich, which was not spicy at all.We asked for complimentary coffee while ordering the breakfast, but after our check-out we have found out that the coffee was not complimentary at all and we have been charged for it.They adjusted the bill only because we complained about it.The room service also charge $4 fee plus the 18% tip is included, just for your information.Food has no flavor and is overpriced. Please double check all the charges during your check out.Cute hotel but bad atmosphere!
Checked into a room with food stains all over the carpet. Was transferred to a upgrade room with a queen bed. We paid for a king bed so then transfer to a downgraded room to get a king bed. The third room we ended up in had several issues .The air conditioner did not work. Maintenance came to fix it, but still did not work. We had to sleep with our window open in order to have cool air. The room did not have any amenities such as bottled water or robes. The refrigerator did not work and there was only one pillow on the bed. There was no top sheet and no ice. Literally the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. I travel a lot! On the plus side, the hotel is decorated very well and the restaurant is OK.
Well no room service or coffee til 1130?? Rooms are super in need of a cleanup and paint job. Staff looks casual not like the last time I was here where everyone looked chic and cool. Not one coffee shop or light breakfast available unless your leave the hotel! If you are just opening due to being closed for covid be ready.
NoMo is a no no for now. We have stayed at this place many times but this time - the first after the pandemic - we had a really bad experience. There was only one person at the checkin so the line was long and it took almost 15 min to getOur room. When we got to the room, it was smelling like cigars and we just couldn’t stand. They moved us to a second room, and when we open the door, there was already some guest in there. So embarrassing! They upgraded us and the third room was just ok. It was bigger but the decor was completely off. Like they dropped several pieces of big furniture in a small living room…. Despite the fact that they told us that there was bottles of water in the room, there was none at ours. I called room service to ask for some water and they said they had no one available at that time - around 11:30pm. The only thing that worked was the restaurant and the service. From host to server, all very nice and kind. I left feeling very sad… we love that hotel but right now it far from the nice place it used to be.
I just spent Valentine’s Day weekend here with my fiancé. We had a smaller room but it was equipped with everything we needed... clean, with a mini fridge & access to room service :)The food at Nomo Kitchen was great, especially the salads & avocado toast, the lemon ricotta pancakes were plump, hot & delicious, and room service was fast. Nice vibes, would def stay here again.
Rating a 4/5 for clean. (Hallways and elevators could be much cleaner.Friendliness of staff Id go 5/5....no issues there.Price for the value, Id also say 4/5. I had the king deluxe on the 24th floor, could use some updating. Love the mirrors everywhere though. Great view!Raining 5/5 for curb appeal. Fantastic look from outside. Id go back again.
Basically you stay here for the location. Rooms are tiny manhattan hotel rooms at a luxury manhattan price.Restaraunt has quite good if not memorable food. But at about a 30% premium over even manhattan prices. Bit snooty as well. If you are familiar with the larry david episode where young and attractive people are given window seats and old fat people are hidden in the back - this is here. But really nice interior design with an outdoor spacious garden feel.Super kudos to the cleaning staff however. I dont know what you are doing, but the room smelled super fresh when you finished.
Honestly disappointed with this hotel! The group of friends I was with had stuff stolen from their room. Then for “insurance” they take your card and charge a crazy amount, to then have to return part of it because they take the resort fee from there. Shouldn’t they just charge the resort fee upfront and add any additional charges when you are checking out. Not assume an amount and take it out anyways. Didn’t like the experience in this hotel. AT ALL!!!!
This place has a wonderful laid-back casual vibe and good food as well as comfortable outdoor seating. There are excellent sandwiches and salads and cheese plates if youre just looking for a casual lunch. Im attaching some photos of the people I had lunch with which were the curators of the truth to power show currently on view up the street one block at 122 Grand sponsored by JVP.
I had low expectations coming in, left amazed by the food.We came here for Mother’s Day but unlike the brunch tradition, we came in for dinner. I was worried coming in because (1) it is a hotel restaurant and (2) most photos in the reviews are about brunch. And living in nyc for long enough now I learned not to trust places that are deemed hot brunch spots.First of all, the dinner options were great. The menu has good selection from seafood to steak and everything is reasonably priced. I opted for bit of an outlier in the menu, kale caesar with added steak and I might have found the best hack and the deal on the menu. The portion was extremely generous and the steak added on the salad was a huge piece of steak cooked to perfection. The whole table had amazing food from chicken to pork chops but everyone was jealous of my salad 😉I would highly recommend this spot for dinner and will definitely be coming back.
Front desk flat out lied when I called to make my reservation. They told me I could book adjoining double rooms, which is the ONLY reason I chose to stay at this hotel. Upon check in I found out that they dont have adjoining double rooms in the hotel. Instead of being apologetic for the misunderstanding or trying to figure out an alternate way to make up for the absolute inconvenience this caused our family for three days, the woman at the front desk was rude and dismissive and even tried to imply the mistake was mine! In addition the rooms are falling apart, the bathroom doors dont close, paint is peeling everywhere. Bar/Restaurant doesnt open until 5 and shuts down at 10. No bottled water available in hotel. Walls between rooms are paper thin. With so many wonderful options in NYC - Spend your $$ Somewhere Else
Food was amazingggg. The experience could have been a little better. We ordered A LOT of food, but we did not think that our waitress would send all of our food starters & entrees to the table at the same time without steak knives or condiments. I understand COVID has changed certain things in regards to whats available, but service should not be compromised... not a very attentive waitress. We had three steaks on the table, but she gave us one steak knife for the table. I’m going to stop picking. The food experience was definitely ruined, but we will probably be back for the food.Side note... maybe it just wasn’t her day.
This place is filled with hidden fees. They don’t care if you do or don’t stay in the room, also. They’ll charge you via Expedia (I chose it unknowingly). When you get there, they ask to obtain a card on file when you’ve already “paid for the room”. These people got a good deal w/ their marketing or advertising team and will gladly charge you more than what the third party company told you upfront. The only good thing about the hotel is it’s interior and exterior design. If you really want to stay here, my suggestion would be to book within the hotel’s admin/concierge team.
Overall we were disappointed with the service. Reasons:1) One day prior to our arrival we were called that the Suite we booked (weeks prior) was not available and they would have to provide us with another room. There were no options given, and only had a generic king room available.2)The room we were given has only 2 pillows which were flat like cardboard. Had to call 3 times and took about 30 minutes to obtain 2 extra pillows and the reason for the delay was We are full and looking for pillows.3) The fridge in the room did not work4) Probably the most unsanitary thing (See attached picture). When one of the bathroom towels was unfolded we found this. The location is in good proximity to SoHo shops, but other than that I dont have much accolades to discuss regarding NOMO SOHO.
Wouldn’t suggest this hotel to anyone. It’s deceiving by its trendy “nice” lobby and restaurant. The upstairs hallways and rooms are horrid. The hallway looks like Dracula’s mansion. The locks to the room don’t work, we got our key replaced 3 times and it still wouldn’t work. Took 30 minutes to get into our room and someone had to come let us in. Room is so tiny there is nowhere to store luggage. Also the bathroom is basically a part of the room. And not to mention there were only 2 pillows on the bed and nowhere to get water at night. There are so many more hotels in Manhattan at the exact same price 10x the quality.
This was such a great place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and the location was convenient to many places we wanted to visit. We had an issue with our bill which the staff fixed immediately. Love the entrance to the hotel.Only suggestion, maybe have a sign on the ground floor so people know where the lobby is located. At 1am, it was hard to find with nobody around.
Currently staying here - terrific hotel! Certainly we are getting a lot for the money. The rooms are fashionable & boutique, the staff is super friendly & helpful. Note that NYC is still under strict COVID rules, so this is affecting what the hotel & associated restaurant can do.The Canal St. subway station is around the corner, allowing you to get anywhere in the city quickly & affordably. The views from our room are gorgeous; the shower has a huge window - watching the city wake up while taking a hot shower is so cool. For those that have not stayed at an NYC hotel before, note that they are smaller than you might expect. NOMO does a lot with the usable space in the rooms - just a great place to stay.10/10 wed stay here again!
Amazing stay at NoMo Soho. Staff from the first minute was amazing. Cheyenne in reservations made sure I had the exact room I was looking for. When I arrived the front desk was clean and safe with Covid precautions in place. Angie and Katie verified and delivered everything I needed over the two days. Most hotels aren’t offering services but they are at NoMo. Shiibbir and Yeshi made sure I had everything from ice to extra towels. Location and room was amazing. Beautiful hotel great views. Just book it!Edit: Stayed again. Rod was a steel door at security. Julia at front desk ensured the room was perfect. Raku a huge help with ice delivery. Angie crushed it again lol. This place feels like home.
Gorgeous lobby and restaurant. Lots of plants and lots of art. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Lunch was great and their Manhattan cocktail is the best. They also have a terrific shop (Rebecca Cole Market) for plants and gifts in the lobby. Based on this Sunday lunch, NOMO attracts a young, international crowd. Will be back here often.
Lowish quality hotel in soho. Less than average quality rooms and nonexistent staff and services. Breakfast is until 10 am exactly, even on weekends, then theres no food for an hour until overpriced brunch is available. For some reason they slide your bill under the door in the middle of the night instead of giving it to you at checkout. I probably wouldnt recommend this hotel to any one considering theres so many good hotels in Manhattan.
We stayed for 1 night after staying at another hotel. This hotel is our perfection for couples or singles wanting to have fun and like the finer things in life. The room was great. The king bed was soft, and there was space to walk around. The bathroom shower kept spilling water outside of the shower but Ill be nitpicking. Overall, we had an amazing stay.
Lovely, comfortable place in the middle of SoHo. Just a few blocks walk from the restaurants in Little Italy. Reasonably priced (for New York) - about the same as the Marriott my boss stayed in, and lots nicer. The view of the city from my room, all lit up at night, has to be seen to be believed. Would definitely stay here again.
Super cute hotel. My fiance and I stayed there because we were celebrating our anniversary and saw that on their website it said it has a rooftop bar/lounge and when we got there they said it has been closed for like 2 years. Now its no longer on their site but I feel like it would be nice if they had some type of lounge or bar. Itd definitely add to the experience. But other than that, the hotel was beautiful and we didnt have any issues.
The food and service was great. The only reason I cant give this place a higher rating is because I couldnt grasp the vibe NOMO is going for. I mean it had a very classy aesthetic and a pricey menu. But all the waiters are dressed like woody from toy story. Imagine buying a $200 cabernet and then throwing peanut shells on the floor like you at Logans Roadhouse. Also -1 for the rouge chihuahua running loose
Nice luxury decor from the outside, on the floors and in the rooms. Their was an unpleasant smell in the corridors but you would not get it in the room. Location is amazing and so central in Soho. I loved the mini Molton Brown shower gel/shampoo/etc in the room. The king size bedding was great. The handle to get the large shower head started and get hot water was a bit mysterious and not very straightforward but the shower was spacious and very light. Pricey option but a great treat
We stayed at this hotel back in June. The hotel is nice with nice views but the staff falls shorts on manners, they could definitely use some improvement. Room was nice and clean but the shower needs to be remodeled, the structure of the shower is terrible. By the time you finish showering, the water fills up in the restroom. I am guessing that is why they made the walk in deep so when you step out your room is not flooded. I would have given the stay at this hotel more stars if the service was a little better.
Came for brunch without reservations, which apparently they recommend. Ordered hanger steak and eggs, which was excellent. Hanger steak was served rare as requested with excellent char exterior. Fingerling potatoes were amazing. Service was excellent. Interior decor and ambiance is a big draw here with its all glass ceiling.
Super cute boutique hotel. I would stay here any day.The hotel is located in a perfect spot. Easy access to shopping and things I had planned to do. Room is lovely in blue, calms and relaxes me. The bedding is soft. Although I could use a heavier cover given NYC is likely being cold than hot early the year. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. I needed an emergency sewing pack. A call to the lobby they offered to send right up. So nice. The restaurant onsite has both indoor and outdoor seating. As you probably have seen in the photos the outdoor seating has lovely greenery surrounding it. It’s a cute summer night hangout spot for a meal outdoors.Happy travels
Tough to review. The location is an incredible area to stay in NYC - you can explore so much and great shopping and food options! The hotel itself was pretty disappointing though. Aesthetically some nice places for pictures and some nice views from room windows. But.......The rooms are TINY! We actually had to pay extra to upgrade our room because it was simply too small. If you are by yourself and travel very light, you might be fine. The amenities and room service is limited at best. They also charge all sorts of fees (destination fees etc). The staff are friendly enough but I visited the concierge desk 4 times and there wasn’t ever anyone there! Unacceptable. The restaurant at the front of the hotel does a great breakfast!!Overall, there are better options in NYC for the same amount of money.
The room was GREAT with amazing views of the city. The staff was exceedingly helpful from switching our pillows to non-feather to valeting our car. The service at the hotel was excellent. I should add that the quality of the food is very good and the wine selection has remained intact.
Great bar to hang out. Very cute and cozy boutique hotel. Great decor. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Will recommend you to stay here. I will be coming back with my husband and fur baby! They also have a great looking restaurant, we didnt have a chance to eat there but it looked very cute.
Entryway to the hotel is beautiful. Room was very nice, although the heater seemed to run quite a bit cooler than it claimed. Had to turn it up over 80 degrees to be comfortable. The suite I was in, was clearly not designed as a suite, but was instead two adjoining rooms that had one bed replaced with a couch. That said, my room was upgraded to a suite for reasons I dont know, so that was nice I suppose.Nice location though, and the restaurant had good food. Would stay again if the price was competitive.
This was a lovely hotel. I moved right in and had relaxed while on my business trip. Room service is pricey but I expected that when in NYC. That said, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The staff were courteous and helpful. My A/C stopped working and they had it back in order while I was out at dinner. No complaints! Id happily stay there again.
Good location.Front desk was great,But the restaurant downstairs was bad!As well all the hotel look like fancy but actually Low quality finishing, from the butter at the restaurant to the painting of the hotel.shower was horrible!!!!I don’t think it worth the price.Look wow but is below average from my point of view.
Worst hotel for the money. Go somewhere else. My room had no complimentary water and the toilet seat was dirty. The pictures did not look exactly like the room. The gym is small and dark. The balcony was off limits. Worst hotel and more expensive than necessary. Also the shower handle in the Premium Queens Room was broken and easily came off. I then had to put it back on. The sink clogged easily & the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom bit right outside of it. The shower had no closure and water went all over the bathroom floor (floor had no drain and had to be cleaned). The bathroom door is thin and everything can be heard.
If you are looking for anytime of service you will be staying at the wrong hotel. No one is there to open the door for you. It’s hard to find anyone to help with luggage. The rooms are cheesy and small, no hooks from your coat . They don’t have umbrellas in the room and they always say they are out of them. It’s pouring rain. They call themselves a 4 star hotel. I’m paying over $500 a night and they don’t even have an umbrella. The only thing nice is the lobby and restaurant
The restaurant here is definitely a hidden gem. Once inside, you forget youre in NYC. The decor is unlike any other place with its glass ceiling and large crystal chandeliers. The glass ceiling lets in a lot of natural light which is also a nice change during the day. It is a large space which can easily host big groups of family or friends. Highly recommended!
Hotel is decent. More of a party hotel than a quiet place to rest. Room was tiny but very comfortable. Only serious issue is walls are paper thin. We could hear everything the people next door were saying clearly, and they kept us up until 3:30am. I would not go back without assurances of being given a quiet room or my money back. UPDATE: Their response below reads like a bot. Doesnt provide any reassurance they actually care.
PROS: location, presentation of the hotel is aesthetically pleasing and staff are friendly and helpful when engaged.CONS:- Rooms are extremely small, there is very little walking space between the bed and tables/dresser. Room design is not practical. No hooks in bathroom for even a hand towel.- Expensive daily destination fee of US$25 without benefit. No water bottles or coffee/tea in rooms. If guest wanted water you have to go downstairs to lobby to only be provided with “infused” water in a cup. Coffee/tea is provided in lobby during the early morning only.- Rooms did not have enough towels for the number of people staying showing attention to detail is lacking.
Booked on Hotel Tonight. Rate was reasonable. After being a director in a 5-Star Luxury Hotel in South Beach, I know the biggest difference maker in a hotel and what guests always look for is SERVICE. Overall, all positions - bellmen, front desk, concierge, restaurant hostess and waiters - ALL could use a refreshment in gratitude and being genuine with guests. The room itself, very very nice. Cleaned well and excellent feel of comfort. Bed was veryyyy comfortable. We had brunch at the Restaurant (not sure if the hotel is responsible) - terrible service. Very inattentive and didnt seem to be genuine or care much. Everything took FOREVER, and it wasnt that busy. Food was just ok, but my girlfriend loved the french toast so I guess it was kinda of a win for me :) Would i return? I would, but hopefully by then the Hotel Director has read enough reviews, and plans on improving genuine service.
The hotel is located on a relatively quite cobblestoned side street in Soho, and the experience of walking in through the flower-laden archway doesnt diminish, no matter how many times you do it!Hotel was beautiful, stay was excellent, check-in was a real struggle. Attempting to check-in early is always difficult, and never guaranteed, but my partys request to check-in early (at noon) was four months in the making, and followed-up on many times leading to our stay. We even had someone go to the hotel the morning of, to ensure that we were on the top of the priority list. We were treated like unwelcome guests during that process, and our room wasnt ready until 15 minutes before our actual check-in time of 4 p.m.Beyond that, the rest of our encounters with the staff were pleasant, everyone highly accommodating.
This is hands down the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. I wouldnt believe a single one of these other reviews. The hotel room was FILTHY and the staff was absolutely terrible. We had so many problems it was absurd. The walls/doors are extremely thin, so you can hear absolutely everything from your neighbors. Our shower/tub faucets leaked the entire time. Tub wont drain after a shower. Bathroom flooded completely and all they did was dry it with a towel and redirect the leaks into the tub. Toilet paper roll was behind the toilet and next to the tub, so it gets soaked and then becomes worthless. Front desk staff was EXTREMELY rude every time you talked to them. They give two small pillows and then a bunch of dirty throw pillows, scratchy sheets and an uncomfortable bed. Our safe was unusable, since it could not be unlocked. Decor in the minute rooms was gaudy at best. DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This isnt even a full list of problems.
The worst experience. Try calling the hotel (go on, try!) and I assure you no one will ever pickup. Oh you need billing help? Press option 6 for Acct. and no one will answer because the mailbox is full. Something isnt right about this place. I wouldnt trust any hotel in the area that doesnt take care of customer service before and after a stay. Better off trying a brand name hotel that will inherently come with accountability as opposed to these one off hotels that are fly by night. I am still waiting for billing help as I was overcharged and no one will even return a call or email. Just odd, frustrating and unprofessional to say the least!
GREAT HOTEL , ill definitely will come back soon. The room are comfortable and The view is amazing!!!Also the location is perfect. The stuff is always nice and polite, they will help you with any questions or request. And I cant forget The restaurant, the food there it’s really really tasty!!Overall - the vibes are amazinghighly recommend :)
Not sure how this qualifies as a 5-star hotel. It was comfortable and clean, but a little on the small side. I guess I’m just not used to New York, I hear most hotel rooms are relatively small. The food at the restaurant had great food. The service was decent but nothing outstanding. I’d actually probably give it 3.5 stars especially when considering how expensive the room was.
Great place and great views from a corner penthouse of Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan bridge, etc. The decor was modern, but in a weird way. Sort of like an 80s music video. The staff was very nice and helpful, but we had to go down to talk with them twice after a few unanswered calls to the front desk. Our porch wasnt big, but enough for us to eat dinner out there. Two chairs and a table, and it was super private except if the main penthouse above us was hovering over us at that very moment. Pretty romantic. The restaurant downstairs is pretty chic and romantic too with awesome tea lighting and a garden party effect.
NO bathroom privacy! From the street you approach via an enchanting entrance to the hotel/restaurant and make your way up the elevator to the front desk, which at the moment, is part of an area that’s being renovated. With typical NYC rooms being on the very small size we opted for a suite. That being said the design for the bathroom is a HUGE problem if your a gal. First and foremost there is no privacy. The bathroom sink and mini fridge are one unit. The bathroom sink is the size/depth of a “dog bowl” located on a very small counter with one light located off to the side. Very hard to put on makeup! The bathroom is apart of the sitting room area across from the desk beside the entrance door. The toilet and shower are in separate room with a feature picture window with a roll down shade if you don’t want to share your shower time with the building next door. While we have stayed in many new concept rooms this by far was the most inconvenient bathrooms concepts that we have experienced in a hotel. If your staying on your own it may not be a big deal but as a couple it’s may be a big problem. Again there is NO privacy. On the bedroom front it’s very tight with a king size bed but it’s workable. The bed was very comfortable which was the saving grace. The TV in the sitting room didn’t get any of the main tv channels on Saturday after midnight. The next morning all was fine. And finally the sink drained ever so slowly. We reported to the front desk upon checkout. The restaurant with it’s green house glass ceiling and beautiful chandeliers was definitely a high light. The food was delicious. We had breakfast/brunch there every morning. The service was good once the service team discovered we were seated in their section. The location is a couple blocks from “Little Italy” and around the corner from some wonderful shopping experiences. So next time we’re gonna try something else in the Soho area.
What’s worse than staying at what you thought was a nice highly recommended hotel to find that it’s infested with bed bugs and the staff turning their heads away when approached with the problem? They are instead overcharging the credit card on file without asking permission for no apparent reason. This is what happened to my friends who recently stayed there. All of their clothes and furniture are ruined. One of them has a horrible red rash on the top of her head and all of them have multiple bites across their bodies due to the bed bugs. The staff refuses to acknowledge them for their troubles. I am thoroughly disgusted with what my friends have experienced so far with the rudeness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. Do not book your stay there unless you wish to experience the same itchy red bites and have your credit card illegally charged without your permission
This location is trendy and cool and under other circumstances I would rate 5 stars. My first experience wasnt so great. My reservation was lost and resulted in my bill being more expensive because it appeared that I didnt have a reservation. However, I presented a printed copy of my confirmation along with a reservation # to the hotel representative, but it was not taken into consoderation. I would have appreciated my stay and the hotel more if the original price of my stay was honored. Since Im not sure whos most responsible - travel agency or hotel - I am still giving my experience with NOMO another try.
Stayed at this hotel over a weekend. The title reads room with a view, but all I could see from our window was a brick wall. This is the smallest hotel room Ive ever been in. The bathroom is extremely tiny as well. And Im not a huge person, Im of average build. If youre not careful while turning, you will hit the table or bed in the bedroom and the wall in the bathroom. They will stock up wine you may never use, but will not stock up body wash and shampoo and you have to call up and remind them to do so. It was too pricey for such a small room with poor service. And the restaurant downstairs is so limited in the number of food items they provide. I would not recommend this to anyone trying to have a pleasant stay at NY or trying to look at reasonably priced hotels.
The hotel is generally clean and very attractive. The front desk was next to impossible to get a hold of when I was trying to call them before checking in. The queen bed is really a full size bed. I realize that space is pretty limited in hotels in NY, but there are no drawers at all in the room. Only a closet for hanging clothes. I think the housekeeping did an excellent job. The room was clean and bright. Having Chromecast on their TVs is a nice touch.
Really small rooms but well decorated. The bar and the hotel restaurant are really great. Expensive for food, but great for drinks and an awesome ambiance. They also have wheelchair access to their restaurants / rooms which is really great. The location is really close to the fashion stores around the area which is good. The sodashop upstairs also has excellent views of NY so definitely go when the sun is setting!
Its clean, but basic. No coffee facilities in the rooms and I swear that whoever designed the bathroom has never used one before. The shower only has on or off, no pressure control and sprays directly out the shower cubicle (thereby flooding the entire bathroom). Also, watch your bill closely. They tried charging us for minibar usage, even though we had the minibar emptied when we checked in!
It looks good, it smells good but its.just okay. The room is pretty bare bones in that it has none of the amenities youd expect today. The TV is outdated and finding anything to watch is a long process of flipping channels. Theres no way to turn your lights off from the bed. You have to get up and turn them off at different points in the room. The plugs near the bed are all facing the mattress so chances are if you move while you sleep, they will unplug. Thats if the maid hasnt disconnected your charger so that your alarm doesnt go off in the morning because it didnt charge. The shower has a curtain, so good luck not flooding the bathroom. Also, whats with placing the toilet rolls behind the toilet. Lastly, he noise isolation is terrible, you will hear every door opening and closing in the hallway...
My wife and I walked into the restaurant without a reservation this evening and was told seating was full for the night. There were obvious tables available but maybe they were reserved. Ok, thats fine. We walked away and I was thinking whether we didnt get a table because we were dressed too casually or were we refused a table because of we are minorities. We recollected that there were people in jeans and t-shirt. Hmmm... Then I went to their website to see if there was availability. OpenTable.com had immediate availability all through the evening. So... Either OpenTable.com is incorrect (which has never occurred) or I was racially profiled. Its unbelievable that this is happening in NYC in 2020.
I love this hotel, the beautiful green archway entry, the fragrance in the foyer, the complimentary phone for usage during the stay, the amazing views from level 19. The best was the service provided by JEFFREY at the front front desk, I was in NYC for the first time for my 40th and he guided me throughout my stay and also stored all my items safely after I checked out. . Nothing was too much trouble for him. There were two girls on internship who were fabulous too. Thank you so much for making my stay special. I would definitely stay here again❤️
We had a room on the 23rd floor and a corner room. Great view and very courteous staff. Room was cozy and love that we could open windows. Ate lunch there and it wasnt bad but dont see us going back. Great location and I wish I could pack the shower and take home with me.
As far as a boutique hotel in Soho goes this place is fantastic. The room size is good. Its located on a quieter street with a beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating. I couldve spent all weekend in that room and been happy. We had a great breakfast at the restaurant then walked to Chinatown and little Italy.
The hotel is a bit difficult but after circling the block a few times I finally found the entrance. The staff was more interested in their conversation than helping me and they were quite frankly a bit arrogant. Once I made it to my room it was nice and well appointed. But when I received my credit card bill I was unpleasantly surprised by the resort fee or amenity fee that you are charged along with the price for your room. So if you stay there expect an additional charge of almost $30 to show up just for the pleasure of laying your head on their pillow.
Nice hotel and got a good rate - despite stylishness seemed to have quite a few business travelers. Room was comfortable, bathroom small but adequate. Everything was clean. Room was brightvat night but quiet (bring eye mask). Restaurant adequate if expensive for breakfast, good options nearby for dinner.
Room was good. Room temperature was either too hot or too cold. But the low score was based on how awful the front desk people were. I was given incorrect information on the iprefer loyalty program 4 times. I was informed manager would call (never happened), number would be added to reservation (took 3 conversations for that to really happen). Not impressed at all by the poor service they delivered.
We stayed for my birthday weekend and the hotel was perfect. We had a lovely brunch around the corner one day and in the hotel restaurant the other day. Service was extremely slow (considering they were not full). Waited 15 minutes before waiter even came to table. And that was after we asked.
Food was good but expect very small portion. The waitress is very nice. It was a Friday night pretty quiet .. we asked for bread and napkin to the busboy and it never came. I think it’s more a bar/hotel restaurant than anything else . I won’t recommend it for “ real “ dinner experience .
Used the valet during a 3 day visit. I keep cash in the vehicle in my closed center console, hidden, for emergencies (tolls, parking, etc). After the valet returned the car, I was missing the $280 in cash along with an irreplaceable sentimental money clip. When I reported it to hotel management I was told theyd look into it. Its been 6 months, a follow up would have been nice but I havent received a phone call or email from the hotel. If youre going to go out of your way to literally get robbed, I suggest a better hotel to do so. Will not stay there again. How a property handles thefts or problems that occur with their clientele speaks volumes about how they operate as a whole.
One of favorite place to stay and stop by for a break from roaming soho. Place is gorgeous with chandeliers and a nice bar. Hotel lounge smells gorgeous and has a small lounging area. The rooms are gorgeous in blue and white, reminds me of Portugal azulejo. It’s a great location if you prefer to stay near or in soho.
Had such a great time at this place. The room has a fairly decent space. The beddings are all white and plush-which i love! Interior design of the room is very modern and immaculate. The atrium is my favorite area of this hotel. Also the food is exquisite! I had tuna tartare for appetizers and it was out of this world! It is well handcrafted and worth having again and again. The bartender was engaging and made the Long Island ice tea perfect! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy NomoSoho of Manhattan! Safe travels everyone and be safe ♥️
This was one of the best hotels Ive stayed at in New York City. My girlfriend and I came to spend our 4th of July here and we absolutely loved it. The staff is unparalleled and they make sure whatever you ask is taken care of. For example, there was a fireworks show on the rooftop at the hotel. Tickets were sold out and we asked was there anything we could do to get tickets? The waitress at the restaurant comes over to us with the Manager and gives us two tickets to the firework show. The waitress name was Marcella and she deserves a promotion for outstanding service. My girlfriend and I have decided to make staying at this hotel a tradition every 4th of July. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves outstanding service and great views of NYC.
$45 USD per night RESORT FEEYou pre-book online (paid in full including taxes) and when you arrive at the hotel they inform you of a $45 USD per night resort fee. This would not have been legal in Europe, but apparently fully acceptable in the US.Included in the resort fee is WiFi (which I measured at 3-4mb), access to a small gym, a safe in your room (?) and newspapers in the lobby. This is included in most other hotels for much less than the additional $45 per night.Location was good, great view from our room. Simple standard on the room. The hotel was OK, but the perceived value was poor when they slapped the unexpected $45 a night resort fee on top.(Yes, I know they will claim they mentioned this in the fine print, but screw you ; this should be in the listed price). Will not be coming back.
Staying at the NOMO Soho Hotel was a great experience. As with most hotels in New York, the rooms are on the small side, but they are nicely laid out and don’t feel cramped. The standout feature of each room is the view: massive floor to ceiling windows offer great views of Manhattan and fill the room with light. The bed was comfortable, though I personally found the pillows to be a bit on the uncomfortable side. Our bathroom featured a decently large shower (with a standard shower head and detachable wand). Entertainment wise, the room had a nice flat panel TV with a built in Chromecast. This was a nice feature because you could watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc on the big screen using your phone. The overall room was clean, though it was clear it’d been through quite a bit (random scuffs on the walls, a small dent in the door, etc). Those blemishes aside, the room felt very clean. Our room was next to a service room (where supplies are kept for housekeeping). That meant it was nice and quiet at night, but around 8:00am in the morning when housekeeping started doing their rounds it got a bit noisy. Good to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper like myself. The hotel has a great location that is central to all things Soho. Despite a few cosmetic blemishes, the room was great and I would definitely stay here again.
I love this hotel. The interior is modern and luxury. It is located near Canal St. station. You can drink free coffee in the morning on ground level. The room was clean and the view of my room was also good. And all of staffs and managers are soooo KIND!If I come to NY again, Ill stay here.
Nice hotel, marred by a few service issues. I stayed for three nights. I showed up around midnight there first night and my room was cold and the heater wasnt warm. I called down and they sent up maintenance, who fiddled with it and convinced me it was warming up even though I didnt really feel it. He left, I went to sleep. Woke up around 4am freezing come under the blankets. I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. Then, the next day they didnt clean my new room. In retrospect, I should have insisted on a new room right away, but they also should have offered it since I had just checked in.
Unfortunately booked here for my full 2 week stay in Manhattan. The view is great however the rooms are very high priced for what you get and the first impression was a feeling of being ripped off.The size of the 1 bedroom suite is basically the same size as a standard room, the bathroom is a half bathroom with the sink out in the lounge room. The bathroom also had a huge window which had great views however you are standing naked in a window that can be seen in from the outside. The rooms are modern and clean except for the pen that looked like it was used to stir someones cereal and then left on the bedside table. The menu was really bad and not a lot to choose from, the prices were crazy expensive so I used seamless and got meals delivered when I was hungry and eating in.The complimentary water was good however didnt come every day. The housekeeping staff and other hotel staff that I came across were nice and helpful. The area is not the nicest and I didnt really feel comfortable around the hotel after dark, we got a few comments walking back to the hotel a few times by some shady looking people.Everything in the room was nice however the bed I could feel the springs (and Im not a heavy guy). From the 20+ 4 and 5 star hotels i have stayed at and considering the USD $350+ per night price tag I would give Nomo Soho a 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5. Really just paying for the views and modern look here.
My friends stayed here this past weekend and their room had bed bugs. My friend said her marks have been itching and some even bled a little! I was planning on staying here in a couple weeks but thank god they told me today. Stay elsewhere! The management didn’t even apologize or offer any compensation for their stay or medical bills. Instead of apologizing they threatened them by contacting an attorney for leaving honest google reviews. Terrible
Worst experience ever. Room lock is broken and I needed to go to the lobby three times in one day to get in to the room. They told me to fix it, which never happen. I asked to change the room and they down graded my room wo telling me. Finally - I noticed my i phone charger was missing which I found out was taken by cleanig lady. They broght me back without any explanation and apologies. Their service is far beyond my expectation in a way. Very dissapointing.
Pros:1- the design is beautiful, first impression when you walk in you think that you are walking into some Art gallery, I even thought I am in the wrong place lol.2- Nice view3- I like the hotel smell, every time you walk in you cannot miss it, I even asked them about it and they said its Green tea and lemon grass oil.4- the location is great I never had to use any taxi or Uber my whole stay thereCons:1- the refrigerator was very bad in my room and I think it might be the same in the other rooms too because its stuck inside of the cabinet which makes it hot.2- they try to sell you anything in the room, everything is labeled with ridicules prices like you are in a some store not in a hotel room...!! and they dont even provide complimentary water...!!!3- this was rated as 4 stars hotel but I noticed the paint came off in the bathroom sealing in my room which makes it a poor attention to detail.4- I was charged $26 daily fee even though I didnt receive any extra service from them other than the Wifi and they had a higher paid plans but the lower one was complimentary so why the daily fee, its not a resort in Las Vegas...!!!!6- the pillows wasnt comfortable, too low for me
The breakfast is NOT included on the rate something that contradicted the website besides the room is super small, the HVAC system sucks and they gave me a room that didnt locked. As a New Yorker this details counts. I think the place is overrated and overpriced. Only for the bathroom and supplies I gave it 2 stars.
Stylish hotel in the middle of Soho. Rooms are nicely done but small - ask for an upper floor and there are some great views looking uptown. Staff was pleasant in all interactions and the downstairs bar is great. The hotel runs on the more expensive side but the location and vibe are worth it IMO.
Outstanding and revolutionary design within this hotels Imperial No. 9 bar on the ground floor. You will be blown away by the atmosphere. I wish I could rate it a 4. The original cocktails on the menu are superb. A fantastic place to meet for drinks but note that the prices can be strong.
‼️‼️URGENT‼️‼️Upon arrival don’t expect anyone to take your luggage’s up for you, not even offer. We switched rooms three times... first room had a broken bathroom door, second room had no AC and the room temperature was 87 with a side of a bug on the ceiling, and lastly ALL the rooms are the size of a cubicle. Also, the hotel engineer told us to close ALL the blinds off in the room in order for it to cool back down from 87. The bathrooms are super old and molding as the days go by. The staff members were super rude. Oh and don’t expect anyone to bring you towels or other condiments after 11 o clock. They don’t pick up the phone at that time and they stop delivering such things. The food at the nomo kitchen was mediocre, super over hyped. The waiters don’t check on you at all, nor do they care. HIGHLY recommend staying at another hotel in SoHo! this one is by far the worst. Also I got bed bug bites from the hotel... I have attached pictures with my review on yelp. the manager was not compliant at all and did not want to assist in anyway. ‼️‼️STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT A DISEASE!!!!!!‼️‼️I’m here to update... if anyone has ever stayed at this hotel please check with your credit card company for any mysterious charges after you’ve fully paid for your stay. My friend who booked the trip on her card paid FULLY september 10th and she just got a charge 4 days later for $1800!Update: STILL HAVE BED BUGS STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just received a message from someone who stayed at this hotel saying they’ve been bitten everywhere

2022-04-23Reading some of the other reviews after spending a few nights there this week, I can understand why a fair amount are 2 or 3.My girlfriend got locked in the bedroom (separate bedroom from seating area), and got extremely nervous since there was no handle to way to access the other side of the room and felt trapped. I had to call security to come unlock the door for her. The solution was to keep the deadbolt extended...The room, especially during the morning hours, was extremely loud. There is practically no sound proofing, and the hotel has very thin walls. I wouldnt expect to sleep past 7 or relax in the mornings. There are also loud and persistent alarms coming from somewhere close outside that went off multiple times during our stay, one time for over an hour at midnight.Overall, the general decor and design is modern and nice, but you can see the rooms are starting to show their age. The rooms are very basic - no coffee, fridge, ice markers are nowhere to be found. Theres a $45 daily resort fee, and they didnt even put bottles of water in the rooms.Everything felt more 3 star rather than 4. Next time, well stay around the corner for about the same price.

Though the portion of food is small but you wont be disappointed with the taste.A beautiful view of the skyline if you plan to stay in the hotel.Always be ready with your camera if you are in the hotel or the kitchen. I had an amazing experience and will definitely go again if i am around the area.Really friendly and helpful staff!! Very clean and beautiful area.

2022-03-30The hotel property and the views from the room were great. We got a corner room on the 19th floor with great views of the midtown skyline. The house keeping staff were great. The positives end there. The rooms were as basic as it gets; no refrigerators or coffee makers. If you want ice, you have to go down to the restaurant bar to get some. There bed was okay and there were only two pillows. The last night of our stay was very windy and the room got really noisy all night long. They charge $45 property fee per night. Not sure what thats for. Maybe for using the elevators? There was not even free coffee in the lobby.

2022-02-06Mixed feeling about this place.... first night there was a nasty sewage smell throughout the hallways. Was told it was an oil duct issue and the staff sprayed deodorizer in the hallway to try to cover up the smell. Tried moving to a different floor but the smell was there too. The smell slowly went away the second night we stayed there. The hotel has a modern feel to it. However, it is cheaply finished and most likely been neglected by maintenance team. Some awkward designs here and there.Overall I wont recommend this place. Only stayed here because of Amex offer. We found a much nicer hotel couple blocks over thats actually cheaper and has a great rooftop view. 2 stars for the nice staff.

2022-06-25Given the location, was impressed how easy the ride services located. Was surprised and pleased that you could go out the rear door of the lobby onto Grand St to several restaurants including Starbucks and Eds Lobster Bar. Room was small with no desk area to either work or eat the limited in-room dining. The cleanliness & comfort of the room was superb with daily housekeeping. The staff was gracious and helpful, Downside is the amenity fee without much explanation except a fitness center, and the food credit for a bagged breakfast since the restaurant doesnt open until 11. Hotel relies entirely on the television with its streaming and information channels which can be operated from your phone, Location, room comfort despite size and quality of staff service will get me back.

2022-02-14Overall a solid four. First the good parts. 1) Hotel has a cool vibe, nice bar and lounge. Staff there from doorman, front desk and bartenders were awesome. 2) Location wise near Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, Chelsea and the Village. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Negatives 1) For the price we paid, the room was awfully small and walls are paper thin. You can literally hear people in next room. Secondly the bathroom door is a thin frosted glass. I mean you get no privacy at all. Room was tight for a DELUXE KING. Props to Johnny the Bartender!

2022-04-15We had an upper floor with north east view corner. The view is magnificent. Nice to see city while you shower. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Lobby space is pretty as in the pictures. the food in the restaurant is good. Location is excellent, with access to subways to anywhere in the city and so much to walk to. I much prefer this part of Manhattan for hotels instead of Times Square. The restaurants that you find nearby seem to be a better deal and more interesting and Scaled smaller / more intimately. I wish the government made prices reflect all the little add-ons though. It’s not nice to be tricked By amenity fees. I guess that’s how things are done.

2022-06-06The hotel in general is nice but they apply unexpected charges which I think is dishonest.I paid $360 for one night in a Queen room which I think is appropriate, not a good deal but not extortionate either as it is NYC. What is extortionate however is the price of drinks at the bar (22$/cocktail - the barmen were great as were the drinks, I just think paying $56 for two cocktails post-tip is a bit much) and especially, the Amenity Fee of $40/night which there was no prior mention but was deducted from our deposit which in retrospect is really just an advance payment for the eventual deduction of said amenity fee.The one highlight of the hotel by very far and I really hope he gets the recognition he deserves, was the bellman. He was working on the morning/early afternoon of May 29th and was so kind to us, always smiling despite being locked in that tiny room. In comparison, the reception staff were not very nice so I dont understand how hes the one that ends up cooked up in there. It baffles me as he was genuinely the nicest guy I met in New York that week-end.

2021-12-30My stay at NOMO Soho was excellent just like the last time I stayed here about 5yrs ago. Angie from the front desk was quick and able to resolve the issue that we had on our original room (thanks again Angie!!!). After we checked out from the room, I realized that I forgot to take out some cash that I stored in the lock. I called in hotel and George was able to retrieve the cash and made sure that the amount was correct. I wasnt able to see him in person when I picked up the cash but I wanted to say thank you!Clean room and room had everything I would expect from 4star hotel (but hairdryer could get some upgrade). Our rooms view was great and frankly speaking I enjoyed coming back to the room just to watch the city view after long day of wandering around the city.Location is great, close to the subway and few blocks away from the shopping heaven and I would love to visit this hotel again in the future ❤
