Nonnas Pizza in other cities:
I made an order online and when I went to pick it up the gentleman in the black mask was extremely rude and put my order in right when I picked it up which I had to wait inside for an additional half hour for my order totaling over an hour from the time I placed my order. To make matters worst I question the integrity of my food after making a questionable reply to his co worker about my food prior to me leaving! There are way better places in Peekskill and Cortlandt Manor then this place they just happen to be near stop and shop! I ordered numerous times from this place to be have this happen!
The pizza is excellent! They have many different specialty slices. My favorite is the chicken marsala slice, delicious!! We shared a Caesar Salad and it was also very good. The portion was large enough for 2 people to share. I will be coming back to try other dishes. Highly recommend
This is truly an excellent restaurant, they have a wide variety of dishes at a reasonable price. Everything is fresh and the staff is very courteous. There is plenty of free parking as well. I found this place from a Google Maps search and Im very glad that I did. They have a repeat customer in me
One of the best buff chicken slices Ive ever had.Amending this to 4 stars. Went for 2 slices today and was wondering how they finished so quick. Its cause they didnt heat them up. Home now eating cold floppy pizza. Its like a sport car with no gas in it. Super disappointed.
Not sure how to rate this as we walked in to the pizzeria, ordered a couple cold slices to go with a side salad. it was Halloween and they said 10 minutes, after 15 minutes the person at the register asked us what we there for. We told her. After another 10 minutes we left. Cannot comment on the food we never received as it took over 20 minutes to put 2 cold made slices and a side salad together.
I order the seafood paella, with appetizers and a personal pie, and some connolis. Women says it will be ready in 35 minutes. It takes 1 hour and 5 minutes but it’s Saturday and I get that. They said it’s going take a little longer cause of the saffron rice. Get home, appetizers were made when called in, so there soggy and only one mozzarella stick in the combo. Pizza was cold cause it was made when called in. Seafood Paella, 2 dead mussels, over cooked shrimp, WHITE RICE in a onion, pepper, garlic sauce. Also asked for a Caesar salad, got the house. No bread, two little stale garlic nots. $65.00 bucks. I work hard for my money and going out is a treat, Go to Stella’s right down the road, the chef is a awesome man.
Me and , 2 of my Veteran friends went there to take out dinner as always the food was delicious. The staff was geared up for the rush of men and women Veterans. They went above and beyond for Veterans day!! Thank you, Mr Clarke. 82nd Airborne Division Veteran 🇺🇲🪂 Ft Bragg black hawk unit 🚁
Used to live in nyc FiDi, closest thing to NYC pizza in Westchester. Really great pizza and delicious and expansive menu. Also the service is great, they had made an error and the owner/manager got on the phone with us personally and not only gave us the refund but sent the product we ordered. Really delicious food. I’d recommend the arugula salad too!!!!
I went there to eat a slice of pizza and never again will I eat there. The cashier was on his lunch break and he made comments on me and my sisters for buying soda elsewhere. I did have enough money so I went somewhere else. He made us feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed, the staff should keep their comments to themselves.
After receiving burnt black grilled chicken in the penné vodka I had delivered along with pizza and a sub.I called up and very nicely asked if I could be refunded the price of the chicken penné a la vodka dish. The lady who I assume is the owner replied by saying that if I give her my info she would refund me $3.95 for the burnt grilled chicken because the pasta was probably ok.I was so shocked by her level of customer service I literally hung up the phone in disgust without saying another word.Horrendous !!!
For a place that had me convinced based on their excellent reviews on service, Im quite disappointed with my experience so far in trying to place an order. The website states the business opens at 10AM and provides an option to place on order online. I placed the order at around 9AM and provided explicit instructions that the order needed to be delivered to our location, which is a 10 min drive away, by 11:45 sharp. I called the business at 10:05 AM to double check that they received the order and confirm all the information provided. The man who picked up the call seemed very annoyed to take the call and was quite rude. He would not give me a chance to speak and proceeded to state that he cannot confirm my order since the business doesnt open until 11. I called back at 11:15 and the woman who picked up quickly said to hold before I could get a chance to speak and kept me on hold for over 10 minutes. After returning to the call, I asked for confirmation that they have received my order and will get it in time for 11:45 to which she specified that they opened at 11 and that they havent started the order and will need about 45 min of delivery time. I informed her that their website and other locations state their business opens at 10AM which is misleading to potential customers and that based on the time shown, I placed an order believing that should be ample time for the business to receive the order and deliver in time. She was not receptive to my feedback nor seemed to care about my concern for receiving the delivery by 11:45 for a major client meeting and hung up the call abruptly. Truly hoping the pizza will be worth this hassle and delay but they certainly wont be getting another call or order from me again! Customer Service is a key element of attracting and retaining customers and if they are not concerned about it, I have no interest in ordering from them again.
Not sure whats going in with Nonnas..Ive always liked going there..Always liked the way the waiters behaved with dignity and excellent service to customers..and the food has been pretty good in the past.Im giving it three stars but I am being generous considering how I was given what should have been a juicy and tasty hot sandwich the other day...I ordered eggplant parm on a wedge and I was given a sandwich packed with dried out lukewarm, tasteless, eggplant with a tiny bit of sauce and unrecognizable amount of cheese on top layer only. It seems like it was just thrown together..I should have returned it but Im always afraid to do that since Im not sure what would happen to my food if I did..a few weeks ago I ordered one kind of sandwich and got another kind..This was probably an honest mistake, but now this with the eggplant. There must be a problem somewhere...I will not be going back anytime soon..
I think they lost what made them good. It’s a good product followed by good service. I went there the other night ordered 2 slices extra cheese, one slice pepperoni and a beef a beef patty. So they placed everything in a small box. When I asked them if they placed everything in a small box they laughed. He stated we were really careful. When we got home it was completely ruined. They just made the store larger. They need to remember to treat all the customers proper. People will go somewhere else. As a result they lost my sales.
I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I sat in my car in front of the store and waited the 20 minutes. As I walked in, a woman was walking in behind me. The man behind the counter took the woman behind me first. I asked about why would you take the woman who behind me first. He replied, oh she paid and was waiting outside.(I did say I was waiting in my car in front called in my order )and she ordered online.Either way, you take the women who was second iine over the person who first? Btw she was white and Im black. I will tell All my friends to NEVER buy from there.
Excellent service with KAT!Food was really good! Prices are a little high, still we enjoyed ourselves! Ex:Adding Shrimp to salad $8.95 Spinach Salad was 11.95 really ? Over $20 bucks? Otgeeeise always a 5 star place for us!! KAT is always Very accommodating!! We gave her $16 tip
I agree with the last poster. Nonas is not what it used to be. We ordered a very large online order. Their own website has a order online button. So we decided instead of calling ordering through online. The total was $115. We received a call that their online prices were no accurate and the new total was now $221. That is a total joke. They are advertising their prices on their own website and then calling to say sorry those prices are inaccurate, itll be another $106 please. And BTW a 12 inch Cauliflower pizza for 13.95 is absolutely ludicrous. SAVE YOUR MONEY.. Totally not worth it..
Went there for dinner tonite for the first time and I must say that the food was quite good. Good size portions and everything appeared to be made fresh . Quality of chicken was very good and tender too. The service on the other hand was beyond horrible. I wanted to write the guy a note about how terrible his service was but my wife insisted that I still give him a tip. Just to give you an example of how bad it was. There were 4 waitresses just standing there and even when I asked for help it still took about 15 mins to just get a menu another 15 minutes before the waiter came over and asked if we wanted drinks. I asked for bread which never came. I asked for bread a second time and it still didn’t come , after the third time it finally came after our salad. Food took quite a while to come and then the waiter went MIA , during our entire dinner . My drink was empty before we started dinner. I eventually grabbed another waitress who brought me a drink after I was done with dinner. Then the wait for the check began. Waited , waited grew older and eventually grabbed the another waitress who found our waiter and the check shortly after arrived. I would go back because the food was so good but if the service is bad again , I will certainly walkout and not fall victim to that kind of bad service again.
If I could give 10 stars I definitely would. I have eaten dinner with my family at this restaurant several times and always have been blown away by quality and taste. But I have decided to finally write a review tonight because of 2 servers in particular. Danielle and Patricia, hands down the best servers we ever had. They went well above and beyond any expectations you could have. Danielle and Patricia even took the extra time to form a personal relationship with my entire group, from age 6 to 88. Completely blown away by their hospitality.
Lunch special was reasonable and flavorful. Chicken parm, sauteed broccoli, side salad and potato croquet $11.95. Stopped going here for a while, but decided to try again. Server was friendly and attentive, filling water and wine glasses, etc. Will definitely be back.
They are the best from there salads to pizza and all the rest of the menu. The food is fresh and hot if you get it delivered or pick it up your self. The double sausage pie is to die for its the best!!! So give it a try you would be disappointed. Ill be ordering again.
Love the pizza! Staff is great... and only place I can find a good Focaccia slice. Space is nice and clean (and organized). It’s pizzeria style on the front side, where you can choose to sit and eat quick and not be ‘served ‘ (even though they still serve you, lol) but also in the back they have a sit down restaurant style serving I enjoy.
I’m sorry to say but I used to come here of lunch a couple days a week and the food was pretty good. But now a days I been ordering delivery since the COVID-19 pandemic. Twice the food took more than an hour to deliver to me and the first time, the pizza came cold the meatballs and soup were lukewarm. BUT I GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE, THE PIZZA I RECEIVED THE CRUST WAS BURNT. I HAD TO THROW IT AWAY. WON’Y BE COMING HERE AGAIN.
I havent had a Sicilian pizza in a long time. This was definitely one of the best. And the sauce was just right. The dough was just the right height. Not too doughy. My wife had eggplant rollatini. It was delicious and a generous portion. Our server, Antonella was ultra friendly and very courteus and professional.
As this style of pizza goes in this part of Westchester, you wont do better (okay, Amiciis WAS great too, but not any more.) Both dine-in and take-away are excellent. All food is very tasty and the staff friendly. The sauce, while a personal favorite, will be viewed as overdone by many Italian pallets (there is a complex abundance of both herbs/spicing and quite salty, and is more along the lines of Polish, German, or western Balkan red sauces, than traditional Italian. But please try it: I think its wonderful.). Service is very quick despite heavy customer loads. Recommended. [Note: They do a decent manhole/Frisbee premade/frozen crust GF pie with their own sauce & toppings: I suggest the pepperoni or margarita. Small & expensive, but were used to it. UPDATE: 10/2018: The expensive GF pies now have an absolutely HORRIBLE powdered plain Matza crust. They dropped the two semi-edible previous versions of pre/factory made GF crust and the current one is simply inedible. Dont waste your money. There are LOTS of good GF crusts available, some from local suppliers, why not try some? or better, make your own?]
Theres a good selection of Very Different kinds of Freshly Made Hand made Pizza here! Really tasty to have for Friday or Saturday Night Diners with your personal Family or Friends! A very Large Selection of Dietary Sodas or Teas to pick from as a drink to have with it!!
I gave it 3 stars because the food lacks flavor. Every good chef knows that when you make pasta you need to put salt, and their pasta has no salt infused within the pasta, so its bland and no matter how much salt you put on it it still lacks in flavor. The pizzas are good and filled with favor, any thing that isnt pasta is good. But it seems that most people like bland food when our palettes have hundreds of different taste buds. Theres a difference between a five star restaurant and a pizza place. 5 star restaurants know how to please all your taste buds.
The food I was able to eat was good... But I was only able to try an appetizer... I have a shellfish allergy... And when I placed my order the person on the phone mistaken me for saying mussels instead of mushrooms, and I made it clear because I repeated two more time. When I called to have the mistake corrected the manager said that he would correct the mistake and replace the order even though I offered to pay... The order never arrived and and when I called back I was spoken to briefly and was hung up on twice... Disappointed in the phone service... And also felt disrespected by the hang up
The best pizza in the area I am in. I tried a few of the pizza places around Fishkill and they were all just alright. Then I tried nonnas and that is now my go to choice. The pizza is excellent, whenever I go in i always have a pleasant experience. They have a friendly staff. The plaza its in is sometimes a pain to get in and out of and for parking. If you are in the mood for pizza I highly recommend this place
I love Nonnas in Peekskill. Some of my favorite things to order other than pizza are the meathball parm, Zuppa de Pesce, Caprese slices and the chef salad. The only reason for 4 stars is because any time I order take out they always seem to forget the ranch dressing which totally ruins my dreams of delicious ranch on my salad.
My friend and I ordered this pizza for delivery. It took over an hour to be delivered. The pizza was tasty, but the crust was pretty thick and the pizza was greasy. My friend gave it a 3/5 but I thought despite its issues, the flavor was there, so I went 4/5. It will not be my first choice, but I would order from there again.
I used to be a big fan of this place. But things started going downhill- I believe there was a ownership change at this location. Previously, no matter how busy, the staff would recognize me by name when I came to pickup every week. The pies were great. Recently, its still busy, (no decent competition in the neighborhood), treat you like a number. The order girls on the phone have messed up my order several times. Train people what a cold Margarita pizza is vs a hot Margarita. Ridiculous. Im going less and less.
Can you say tantalizing tasty? The gluten-free cauliflower crust topped with Nonna’s sauce & cheese is the best in the area! Super friendly fast service in a clean & inviting dining area. My wife loves their white & lasagna pizza slices! I’m so looking forward to the owners carrying GF pasta soon! You must try the Italian sausage & broccoli rabbe!
The lines out the door really say it all. The heavy volume allows them to keep a wide variety of fresh pies with various toppings always ready, by the slice. They also have a small, sit down restaurant section in the back which serves a full Italian menu. VERY generous portions, never had a bad plate of food here.
I am happy that I came here to dine while I was in the area based on reviews. Im happy with the food. BUT the one thing that I would change is the amount of sauce that they put into a pasta dish. It was way way too much where I had to look for the actual pasta. i.e. penne ala vodka. It would be that much better if they went easy on that sauce please. I would come here again though. And now that I know I would just ask them please please go easy on that sauce. Thank you
We have been going to Nonnas since they opened, both eat in and take out and have never had an issue, until today. They have 9 Veal dishes, one which is breaded (veal parm), all served with a salad. I called today to order a plain breaded veal cutlet over a salad...they refused to make this for me and said “we don’t do that.” I called back as I was astonished they could not accommodate this (I have ordered this before from them mind you) and they again refused. Very poor customer service. We will definitely think twice about going there again.
I used to get my wings all the time from here. But now they started been STINGY and charging you extra for blue cheese or ranch saice and EVEN CELERY really? The order of wings are $12 + taxes and they are 12 of them so that’s 1 buck each wing pretty pricey right?! And they still charging you EXTRA for celery and sauces? No way! Next time I’m going to a better place! Good bye stingy people keep your celery and your sauce God damn it!!! 👋🏼👋🏼👊🏽
This is coming from an Italian born & raised in the Bronx: This is the best pizzeria in Westchester! Been going there since it opened and take out at least once a month. The staff is excellent and the pizza is wonderful and consistent. Good, old fashioned type. Recommendations: try their buffalo wings. Best Ive ever had (believe it or not) Also: The mussels fra diavolo. I usually reheat the sauce the next day and serve it over linguine! Prices are very fair and you can usually find coupons in Clipper or their flyers but theyre not valid on Fridays. My suggestion: dont go on a Friday night. The line is usually out the door.
Im originally from the Pacfic NW and have always loved pizza, calzones, and Italian food. All my life Ive heard that if you want to get great pizza, go to NY.......sadly I have yet to find that pizza of the Gods that everyone always talk about here in NYHowever Nonnas Pizza ranks very highly up there. Its darn good, and their calzones are huge, very filling, and loaded with tons of cheese.Ill definitely be back.
I give them 1 star because there wasnt a choice for 0. We waited about 1/2 hour for the worst eggplant wedge I had in my entire life. I believe it was called eggplant caprese. Eggplant was like leather. The mozzarella had no taste and the red pepper was disgusting!! While I tried to gnaw on the eggplant, the inside of my boyfriends mouth and throat was getting cut up from the hard, sharp, dry chicken cutlet wedge he was eating. We will never step foot in Nonnas inThe Beach Shopping Center again!!
I have only tried out the buffalo wings and the pizza so I have no idea what any of the other stuff tastes like. They serve 12 wings and if you get it hot, it comes bathed in buffalo sauce which is excellent as far as a wing lover is concerned. Now onto the pizza…….some of the best pizza you’ll ever taste in your life, especially the gourmet pizzas (buffalo, bbq, parm, marsala…….and they have a wide variety). You absolutely have to try out their pizza atleast once in your lifetime or else you will definitely be missing out on something. Even their vegetable slice is excellent!!!! One of the rare versions is the lasagna slice which they have once again done an excellent job with. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the pizza at Nonnas. A must try!!!!!
Horrible experience a few years back gave them another chance and it was another horrible experience... we asked for a half sausage half mushrooms. The mushrooms were simply just thrown in the center of the pie in a pile and as soon as we attempted to lift a slice everything just slid right off.. we gave a second chance to them, we wont be giving a third!!!!
They had the delivered the incorrect dinner. It should have been fried ravoli, instead they brought over regular ravoli with no sause. Since I was working and had to wait for my dinner break which was a half hour later, I was digusted so I threw it out. My co worker called and explained what happened, the rude young girl on the phone gave my co worker major attitude and said make sure the original ravoli comes back with the driver. omg are you kidding. Not even an apology for taking down and delivering the wrong food. That was not a good experience and was terrible customer service!! Never again nonnas!!

2022-03-28Im a O.T.R driver & bought food from here 2night 4 the 1st time. Got a large cheese pizza 🍕, spinach roll with marinara sauce and a tiramisu for dessert. Bill was $29 & some change. I gave a 15% tip so it was alittle extra. Just didnt like the fact that they wanted 2 charge 4 parmesan cheese! I thought that was ridiculous. Most pizza businesses generally have that on the table or counter top with the pepper flakes. Other then that food was decent.

2022-05-22Pizza was delicious and slice s are very big. Used the rest room twice and both times they didnt stock Tp. I told the manager of the floor, he never attended to the situation. Three other customers came out of restroom stating same problem. I at least carry tissue in my pocket book. Not cool.

2022-03-23I was visiting with my family from Massachusetts to enjoy authentic New York food. I had previously been here years ago & it was pretty okay but we wanted to give it a second chance. It severely disappointed me. The staff respectfulness has gone down and you can hear fighting from the back. Not an environment I would want my grandkids around. I ordered baked ziti and it was nothing special. I had to also ask 2 times for a lemon with my water when I ordered that originally. Even with it being not crowded, wait times are insane. I wish management or the owner would be able to take care of these problems as it used to be a place with okay food with good prices, but after my visit, it will not be on my list to visit again. Covid has ruined many places and it seems this one has gone in the gutters.

2022-06-10The sandwiches are delivered in sandwich shaped containers. A real game changer. More space and venting means YOUR CHICKEN CUTLETS SANDWICHES STAY CRISPY FOR LONGER. Im not uploading a picture. See it for yourself. And make sure that you order the eggplant parm with vodka sauce. Also make sure you have pants on. The driver is getting there wayyyyyy faster than you think.

2021-12-28Ever since we first tried the pizza here, we haven’t ordered from anywhere else! This is my favorite local pizza place. We probably order take out or delivery from Nonna’s at least once or twice a month and we have never had a bad experience. The pizza is delicious and they always accommodate special requests. The few other things we’ve tried on the menu, such as garlic knots and chicken wings, have been really great also. Love this place!

2019-05-26Lots of pizza options! There is plenty of seating space. The personnel was very knowledgeable about the food options and they were very kind and considerate. Would return to try their pasta.

2022-01-29I ordered food online and it never came. I called them up and they said the system is down and they cant refund me the money. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and I spent 30 dollars plus a 7 dollar tip. This is unacceptable and I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there. If you want pizza go elsewhere. This is also a chain business so if you wanted to support a small business owner this isnt a small business owner. Dont be fooled.

2022-02-21We all have our reservations and ideas on prices. We had dinner for 2, lamb and chicken marsala, 1 hot cocoa and a glass of house wine, $ 55.00. How do you feel about the price is up to you.
