If i could give them ZERO stars i would. I purchased a 14k gold necklace from Nordstrom, that i ended up needing to be repaired. I took it to their jewelry department 10/2021. No even gave me an update on the necklace or when it was ready for pickup. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE & on the rare chance that someone does, they say they’ll get back to you & never do. I didn’t get the necklace back until 12/2021, at which time i noticed clasp was broken & it wasn’t when initially brought it in for repair. It took me forever to get someone on the phone but when i finally did, they said i could bring it in & they’d have it repaired AGAIN. It is now 3/2022 & i still don’t have my necklace. This is the worst experience i have EVER had!
I was sold a used perfume!!! The woman at the counter did not care. Will be returning...about a third is missing from the bottle.. I should have looked it had two return labels and scotch tape taped to the top. Awful in these times to sell used items. Ive worked in similar brands we never sold returns let alone used products or even samples/testers.
Ive came here a few times, I bought some stuff, that I still wear today, and Ive never had a issue coming here. They dont have a lot of designer brands like neiman marcus, but they have a lot of selections of different clothes and brands, and you will find your size, they do have a fitting room, and the employees who work there are very welcoming and nice. The mall is organized and established, the service is great, they have multiple registers where you can checkout at, you can give them your name and give them the clothes you want to buy and they can hold it for you while you shop for other clothes. I recommend coming here, and they also have a lot of retail.
I Have been a loyal customer to the Mens department for over 20 years and today I was shopping once again only to see the anchor of the department Roy,Roy is like a great bottle of red wine and only gets better as he gets older like us all.I was so happy to see Roy as he calls me one of the boys club which to him a loyal client .Nordstrom is blessed to have Roy and his energy he brings to their customers !!Kudos To Roy !!!!
We didnt shop Nordstrom, we ate at The Grill. Its a very cute boutique type diner meaning they dont have a large traditional diner menu. Instead they have a more limited but well rounded menu of high quality, unique dishes.Its on the third floor straight across from top of the escalator and right now they have social distancing restrictions in place and are using paper menus due to the COVID-19 outbreak.The service is good, its quiet and you can sit at the bar. They have lots of Roosevelt Field memorabilia from the early 20th century.My daughter got the shrimp and crab louie salad, which was excellent. I got the turkey club on organic whole grain bread with bacon, avocado and garlic aioli. There was a choice of fries or side salad.I highly recommend this hidden treasure in the mall. We sometimes take a trip to the mall just to have lunch at The Nordstrom Grill.
Came here to do a quick return and I was greeted by Riley and Kimora. They both were so warm and helped me with my needs right away. They were fast, friendly and efficient. They made recommendations of the newest and hottest bags that are out and just made me feel happy to be a patron of Nordstrom. I will definitely return if you continue to have people like Riley and Kimora in your stores!
They sent me used clothing, told me I can keep the items and my money would be refunded. I thought this seemed strange, Now I’m being contacted by the usps. Nordstrom put a lost package claim in! I never reported the package lost, I recieved the package thats how I could tell the clothes were used. Going to take legal action at this point…. UPDATE: They replied to my review with a a fake email address telling me to contact them. Nobody has addressed my issue thus Far. But it’s ok I’ve been in contact with a lawyer
Not happy with myself doing this (I never write reviews) but I want to make everyone aware of the poor customer service at this store and ensure no one has to deal with the issues with the men’s suit department. I was one of 5 people that ordered a suit (bridal party). Everyone’s suit required extreme alternations and took 4-5 weeks to arrive (we were told 3-4weeks). I called the store more than ten times once the timeline hit the 4+week mark and my calls accomplished nothing, every employee I spoke to kept passing the buck around. I spoke to numerous managers who said they will call me back and update me on status and never heard back from them. My suit arrived the day before the wedding and was completely unwearable. No employees wanted to take responsibility and have yet to remit a refund. I should have seen the writing on the wall the day we were getting fitted when 2 customers (who I thought were uptight) were arguing with the manager because their suits didn’t fit, so I guess now I am uptight.I would not recommend any one dealing with this store especially the men’s suit department. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
I recently ordered a pair of Alexander McQueen oversized sneakers, and had them sent to the store for pick up. I waited about 2 weeks for them to arrive....I went to pick them up yesterday, and when I opened the box for inspection.. the sneakers were worn. The soles were dirty, and it had two blue stains on it smh. I paid $630 for these sneakers, and this is what you deliver to me?! Smh. Needless to say, I returned them on the spot. Its unacceptable for such a high end store Nordstrom. Very disappointed.
I was hesitant to go into a mall store. However, since Nordstrom is an anchor store, I took a chance. I was lucky to be greeted by some very cheerful young sales people who graciously accepted a return for an online shoe order in the mens clothing section. They made me feel comfortable and appreciated. They seemed to be operating safely. They do have curbside pickup and appears to be also doing curbside returns. When I asked the sales man, he wasnt 100% sure,, so double check if curbside returns is your goal. I was able to get in and out quickly.
I was treated really poorly by an associate here. I went into an open dressing room where there was no attendant. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and the person demanded to know who I was. She said she was saving this room for someone else. Okay? There was no sign? It was open and no one was there to help me. She didn’t offer to open a room for me, just waited on the other side of the door while I got dressed. I guess beware if you’re going to try something on.
I have spent many years previously in the fashion industry in Manhattan with some top stylists and I was overly pleased with my experience. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Nya F who not only extremely helpful but personable and friendly. Highly suggest those to request for her assistance with any conflicting advice on a purchase!!
I needed help in the shoe department today & I asked an male associated. He pointed to a few tables scattered on the floor, didnt have the decency to walk me over . It was 11:30am, the store was not crowded at the moment. Poor customer service, and I am Nordstrom Visa Holder. I ended going to Bloomingdales & purchased two pairs of shoes. Nordstrom lost a sale & possibly a card holder
My daughter was purchasing a pair of shoes and we couldnt find the shoe the sales lady Samantha Pacheco ❤️ went above & beyond to make sure my daughter got the shoes for her graduation party I think she went in the back room and ripped the entire stock room apart to make sure my daughter received the perfect shoe after finding the shoes can you believe the credit card machine didnt recognize my damn credit card soooooooo we had to order the shoes online we were in the store for an hour just to make a purchase Samantha never lost her cool the entire time I recommend her for employee of the month!!!
I went there looking for something to buy for my birthday and the customers service representatives didnt even ask me if I needed any assistance. However as soon as they see the white folks come in they all asking them how may I help you? I just leave the store and I am not going back to that store branch evet.
Customer service is great. The rep (forgot her name)helped my fiance look for different styles of clothing very patiently. Store was clean and bright. Prices obviously are on the expensive and higher end side. if youre looking for items on sale or bargain this is not the store.
Sadly I will have to say the online order pick up system for this location is a hot mess. I am a Nordy, and for convenience, I like to order online and pick up in person at the store in case I need to return something on the spot. Twice in a row, I have received an email saying my order was ready for pick up. I drive over, only to hear that they can’t find my package anywhere and they don’t know what happened. Both times I’ve had to either leave and come back the next day while they refill the order or cancel my order and re-order with delivery to my house, which defeats the whole purpose of in-store pickup.
Helpful and friendly staff working in the shoe department. The staff provided their honest opinions about the shoe I was trying on and did not just want to make a quick sale. The staff took the time to search for the size of the shoes that I wanted that were not available in the store.
I have been a loyal Nordstrom shopper for years (currently an Icon status cardholder) and they are the best department store retailer when it comes to customer service and fairness to customers. Long Island is my hometown and this location is the only Nordstrom in LI, so I have been going to this location for years. Overall, the staff are friendly but based on recent experiences, you have to identify who is and who isnt so much. First off, I often (just browse) the mens section when this associate in particular (unsure of his name) asks if I need help....seems ok but it seems a little pushy to ask the same question 3 minutes later after stating Im just browsing and I have the feeling that he is keeping an eye on me when I look at things. On a separate occasion, I just took a 3 second peek at the glass counter with the mens designer accessories and as I was walking away, he was approaching and said Cmon, let me sell you something....Rude. Also, just today I was returning some items and dealt with Christina V. Returns at Nordstrom should be hassle-free and she seems nice until the actual return process. I understand that they need to check items to ensure they are in unused condition for a refund but this experience was just absurd. 1 item was a Saint Laurent shoe, the other was a MCM belt. With the shoes that were returned, she was eyeballing the leather sole condition and was feeling for the texture...3 TIMES!....and once she saw an imperfection on the sole...she seemed to have a great focus on that 1 imperfection (it was bought online and I havent even peeled off the sticker tag, oh and she was looking to see if I have peeled off that tag before). Then, with the MCM belt, she was closely checking for defects on the main part and on the buckle...but the tags are ATTACHED to the hole of the belt and were never removed!!) Why would she make returns like an interrogation? And why would she think people would wear shoes & belts with tags attached? It felt like 2 minutes per item when it should be like 30 seconds per item. I returned items here a couple weeks back and did not have any problems with the other person that helped me..and the process was faster. I will come to this location again because of the company and since I know some of the kind associates working there...but I will be cautious of who I deal with.
Needed some undergarments for an evening gown. What is usually a nightmare to shop for a lovely young lady was so helpful I had exactly what I needed in less than a half hour! Her customer service was excellent. I’m just sad I didn’t get her name. Thank you for such a wonderful shopping experience 😘
So where do I start. I went to Nordstrom to find my bridesmaid dresses. One of my bridesmaid is in Italy at the moment & I was told that if I came in with her measurements they would be able to get the size so I did. When the dress arrived, I had it shipped at when she received it, it was the wrong size. She’s a size 6 & she received a size 10. Okay no biggie she could get it fixed. Then I got the call ALL the dresses were in the store my other girl went to get her dress. She’s a 12 but received a 16. Now I’m a little upset & was told it’s a “unique” situation. They would be able to change it if they compared measurements. My bridesmaid was told that they used the wrong size chart. 2 other girls went that same day so they all have to have the wrong size. Oh and they can’t find my sisters dress. They told me she picked up her dress already...but she didn’t & they still couldn’t give me an answer to where it is. I’ve left a voicemail, called numerous times & I don’t get a call back when Im told I will because the worker who helped the girls isn’t in. It Seems like she’s never in when I call. It’s been a few days still no call back. I shouldn’t have to keep calling as a customer. I should get an answer to my questions. I picked Nordstrom because I THOUGHT they would be professional but it’s just been a disaster
The people who work at this store are very unprofessional, especially the order online and pick up in store customer service, especiallyyyyyy Lauren! Before ordering online, I spoke to customer service chat online and confirmed I could have someone pick up my order and they said yes, to contact the store and provide the name. So I make the order, call the store to provide the name. They tell they have a new policy and I must go to pick up the order so I tell them I spoke to customer service and they told me otherwise so they said they would make an exception since this was what I was told. Fine. I send the person to go pick up my package, he gets there and tell him he needs my credit card to pick up which is sort of illegal! Why would someone else be in possession of my credit card. I call and dispute with Lauren about giving misleading information and how this is their fault therefore they should release the package. Even offered to send a pic of my card and they would not accept. She was very rude and not accommodating. Ultimately I had to cancel and return my order because I live out of state. Never again would I provide this store any business. They need to get it together.
I came into the women’s shoes section and a young dark skin women helped me and was the most rude employee I’ve ever encountered. At first I don’t think she was working in the department so she didn’t want to help me, but the one thing I asked for in stock she went to “check” and she said that they didn’t have the item that I wanted and when I went to check for my self and showed her that they had the item I wanted she looked at me with a sarcastic smile. Please have nicer employees they are justYoung lazy indivuduals who seem as if they don’t wanna work and are super up tight about everything. I’m highly Dissapointed in the service the young lady is lucky enough that I had a good day.
Employees were so helpful was looking for shoes and a nice dress and everyone was so helpful as I needed something that was on sale. The store has a large selection of items in fact I spent hours looking through everything. Love this store and the brand. Also love that they carry plus sizes as well
Plenty of parking from the side of the building, as well as the parking garages attached. Plenty of great deals. I usually go there for makeup. They have a great, and clean makeup area that makes everything easy to access and find.Handicap accessibility is excellent. If youre usually a wheelchair or walker, the racks are not bunched together, leaving ample room for manuverability.
You get the quality and service you come to expect from a place like Nordstrom, relatively high end fashion choices from a diverse array of providers with a nice ambiance. Only downside I have with it is that the mens section, especially by department store standards, is relatively small and I wish they offered more in store options, especially given how much floor space they do have.
My favorite store! The employees go above and beyond for the customer. Selection is wonderful, I usually shop online and pick it up in store within a couple or hours, or a couple of days if it isn’t in stock. I love the return policy, and the no hassle return desk on the main floor.
Only because I had to return boots that someone took off their own feet and mailed it to me and stole the boots I actually paid for and another, the boots I purchased was not what I received so I had to return those as well ... I plan on ordering in the future I just hope they catch the thieves 😲😁
I went to get some new makeup and never felt so uncomfortable in my life. The beauty stylist Stacy was assisting me and she was very very fake, and very pushy. You could tell by her tone of voice that she was not really interested in helping me get what i wanted and that she just cared about selling me more and more stuff. There is nothing worse then feeling pushed to buy something that you don’t want. She was also dressed very unprofessional, with a very short skirt on. On top of that everyone in the makeup section was on their phones taking pictures the entire time. I’ll never go back again.
Went during the holiday season, which I realize is busy, but I found the shoe department to be very disorganized and the staff was rude and preoccupied in their side conversations. I ended up going to the ugg store and making a purchase within 5 minutes. Money I could have spent at Nordstrom and decided not to.
Save yourself the time. The sales associates at this Nordstrom will ignore you and look you straight in the eye when you ask for help and not acknowledge you. Most of them do not want to be bothered. Don’t work in the service industry If you do not like serving others! Very poor service.
Purchased several times from the Garden City Roosevelt Fields Nordstrom location in the past. The most recent purchase was a disaster. I made a purchase from FELIX S who was very pushy about making the sale and minimizing alterations work. On April 4th, I specifically asked him to ship my items to my home in CA which I have done so in the past with no issue. I went over the delivery information and was even assured that the items would be sent out no later than the 11th of April. After waiting several weeks, I did not receive my package and then proceeded to inquire about the package. The service people kept me on the line for over 30 minutes and could not track down my package. Ultimately, they said Felix would call me back. Instead of calling me, Felix calls my wife a couple of days later and says the package is now shipped. Turns out, they didnt send it out and would not have done so until I called. Called Felix a couple of days later, I was told to call Felix again who again despite being present at the store didnt pick up the call. When Felix finally called me back, he didnt have the details for the delivery.My family and I are valued and frequent Nordstrom customers. I will NEVER purchase from this store again due to the locations unprofessional customer service. I encourage all other customers not to short change themselves of the respect they deserve as paying customers by going to this Nordstrom. No one should be pre-charged for items they do not receive or are not updated on the whereabouts of for over 3 weeks. I dont usually write such lengthy reviews but I believe it is important that other customers not be put in a similar situation to mine going forward.Still havent received my package.
Ive only been to the Nordstroms in NJ, but this one had a less friendly feel to it. Many of the items were tied to security cables. There didnt seem to be as staff on the floor. I feel Nordstrom is unique because of the different items it carries and the staff. Did not get that same feeling from this NY store.
I and my husband was just looking around. A staff over there was like you can try it out for free. He just judged us and made that statement. I didnt wanted to create scene so just left from there. He was standing near canada Goose jackets. Like seriously what a poor judgemental staff you guys have. Dissapointing!
Bought a magnini shoes spent $350 3 months later the shoes started fading out the color went back to the store the department manager carl said he cannot help me because he couldnt find me in the system very bad buisness I thought Nordstrom take care of there customers I guess I thought wrong I rather take my buisness elsewhere were they actually care about there customer bad customer service all I had asked him to exchange the shoes and specially I came and spoke to a sales representative last week he had told me it was not a problem at all and I go back today the manager did not care about his customer and made me wait to speak to him bad buisness if I can give them 0 I will
I came in to this location today to get some shoes Mr. Alvin. D Greeted me asked me if I needed any assistance I said Yes all I can say is woooow he knew exactly what I wanted thumbs up here guys I really recommend coming here for shoes although they need a bigger selection such as Dior but Mr. Alvin did say they can order anything so there you go guys instead of going so far as the city to get designer just go here.😁
Ive most of this store but I went to the dress department to try on some of the ones I saw online but I failed to check which stores they were in, which is my bad. However their occasion wear selections here are atrocious. Nothing for the under 40 crowd. Very... Long Island conservative. Which I guess works for their clientelle.
Fantastic customer service, they do take good care of you here. prices are to be expected on the high end, but they carry TONS of high end name brands, tory burch, prada, Burberry, just to name a few. for children they have lots of high end also, Burberry, plae, Ugg, just to name a few. love this location and the staff.
Husband just enjoyed a nice little bout of profiling thanks to some of your non-helpful, dismissive and completely inaccurate cologne department employees. Next time you judge a book by its cover, at least get your cologne info straight lest you look STUPID. Bloomingdales was better today for sure. Customer service fail.
Ive been going here for my shopping needs for many years because Im from Queens and where else does a Queens girl go to shop other than Roosevelt Field?! As I get older, I begin to appreciate the separate entrance and upper level parking that brings you straight in to Nordstrom and away from hoi polloi (see I told you I was old).The staff is always very attentive and helpful without being overly so. My mom enjoys the massages offered in the Nordstrom Spa here, and I love the cafe that is on the upper floor after a hard day of browsing the racks.I prefer to shop during anniversary sales or when points are double or triple to really get the most out of my money.
Holiday shopping can be very stressful, I visited Nordstrom on Sunday December 15, 2019, an employee by the name of Matthew made it so much easier for me as I was stressing over buying shoes for the woman in my family , thank you Matthew for your help! really made a difference
I purchased a designer gown at Nordstrom for my daughters upcoming wedding. Its unfortunate that the alterations done on my dress were amateur at best. The dress was altered a 2nd time at Nordstrom by the same seamstress and what I thought was an issue that could be rectified with a steam appliance turned out to be an uneven stitching involving the lining and the shell of the dress. I had to pay a professional outside of Nordstom to alter the dress to make it right.
Great mall with plenty of high end retail clothing shops, accessory stores, housing Pandora charms, American Eagle, Abercrombie, BeBe, Zara, Black and White, Victorias Secrets, just a few more retailers youll find here. There are too many shops to mention here.You can find just about everything you need for your every day living, including Godivas, Lindts, and Hallmark, just to name a few.Additionally, theres Macys department store, Nordstroms, JC Penneys, Bloomingdales, and Lord and Taylor as well.A terrific Swarovski shop is there, as well as various other jewelry stores.They have a good food court with plenty of choices, an Italian restaurant inside the mall, and different restaurants on the outside of Penneys. Theres also a movie theater by these restaurants as well. Across the road from the mall is another good Italian restaurant, along with plenty of other restaurants offering great dining options.The mall also extends to the outside, on Old Country Road, where it continues with a Nordstrom Rack, and various other shopping options. Overall, Roosevelt Field, and its neighboring area, are a fabulous way to spend a Saturday, or even a weekend, excursion!What can one say about the atmosphere! Its sin city for a dedicated shopper! And a definite MUST to visit around Christmas time! So enjoy!

Would never shop here again I spent $1800 Moncler coat , when I purchased it I tried it on bought it took it home, few days passed I decide to wear it and realize it’s really a lot of fabric and it looks big on me so I came back to exchange for a smaller size they denied my exchange were rude and nasty embarrassed me in front of other customers they treated me as if I stole that coat even the manager was a b*txh

2022-04-01Well they use to have more choices and more modern clothing. Also more variety of shoes, boots, sandals and sneakers. I guess inventory is low everywhere. Its still a nice place to shop but I cant always find what I want like I use too. This place is cozy and bright and the staff is very attentive and encouraging lol. They are nice too.

Those two women were not only extremely knowledgeable towards the product, they also showed amazing patience and world class courtesy! 5 stars would be an understatement to how I was treated. 2022-05-28In March of this year I was shopping with my five year old daughter Arlene. We got stuck in the elevator with Arlene in a stroller for several minutes. I pressed the alarm for help and did not receive any. This scared my daughter and left a residual fear. I complained to staff and to the corporate office and did not get a favorable response. Great products lousy customer service. I did not feel like they cared.

2022-04-04Went there for dress shoes and they had a nice selection. Worker that helped me out was very nice as well. Seemed a bit overwhelmed but managed to get what I needed. Also helped me out with getting money back on my purchase.

2022-02-04Went looking for a prom dress, was shocked at the low inventory and lack of sizes.Salesperson was a delight!Ended up ordering a dress in the store, just received it and it is a different dress...similar, but definitely not the dress she tried on (have pictures).
