The staff always goes above and beyond without hesitation. Very knowledgable and attentive, what more can you ask for? Not only is the in store experience always amazing, but I have also had items shipped to this store many times and I am always able to pick up them effortlessly.
I must say I live in the city but will drive to this Particular one the young lady at customer service by the name of Stephanie has the best customer service you can ask very polite and always happy it really makes customers like my self come back I strongly believe that Corporate needs to know how important this is when we get great customer service like this she deserves a higher rank.
I just want to shout out everyone that works at the restaurant and in kids department. They’ve always been super kind, seen my kids since they were babies, they know their names, their orders and just make us feel so welcome. It’s a rare feeling to get in a store now and I really want them to feel appreciated.
Anthony L the manager of customer service in Nordstrom in White Plains is awful. Not only was he unkind but also completely lacking of “customer service” . Instead of providing solutions or acceptable explanations he basically repeated policy over and over again. To pay for a 2K coat and get that type of customer service where there are so many other options… too bad I will never shop at Nordstrom again. I will also continue to tell everyone my experience.
I went Into the store looking at the moncler jackets. I asked Vickie for a coat in my size and she said they don’t have any of those coats. As i was Walking around i found One on the rack. It wasn’t my size but they did have them. I ask Another sales associate, Sasha and she told me they have some sizes and will check and bring me my size if they had it. Not sure if Vickie was too lazy to look or thought because i am Black i didn’t have money to buy the coat. Iam glad Sasha took her time and worked with me as i tried On the difference sizes. I was Able to purchase my coat thanks to Sasha. The one star is because of vickie.
The customer service is absolutely terrible. I have had several employees turn and walk away instead of offering to help me when I was approaching them. The workers wouldnt offer help if you were literally on fire. Forget browsing the makeup and perfume area as well, the employees will watch you like a hawk until you have a question then they Usain bolt out of there. What happened to this place?
So far my experience online has been EXCELLENT! I get just what I order. And that is SO REFRESHING, I just love this store. I encouraged my mom to shop here, and she works at a store! But she says the quality products that is here is NOT at her store. Shes also getting a credit card ANY day now. Because her credit is EXTREMELY good. I get nada card from NORDSTROM and I shop NO WHERE ELSE!
Genette within the Bags/ accessories department is absolutely amazing. The best customer service I have received in a long time. I went in to purchase a specific wristlet wallet and it was out of stock. Within seconds she called multiple locations to find it for me. After a few minutes she found a store that would be able to ship over night to me by Wednesday right before my trip. I was so excited and happy! I just got home and received an alert that it will actually be delivered tomorrow morning instead of Wednesday!!!! Genette you are amazing 🤩 thank you for having such a beautiful spirit to help.
Had the absolute worse experience ever, went here on Friday morning to simply return some uggs that were the incorrect style. When the item was purchased I did $140 in cash and $50 on my debit card, however when they did the refund they said the system would not allow them to give me the cash, i let the young man know that I would like to have the refund the way I paid for it, I requested to see the manager who was giving him this information from the back after waiting 5 minutes she finally comes out a lady by the name of Tamara and she was very nasty, had an attitude as if I was wrong for requesting my refund the way it was purchased. She had no manners did not look me in the eye tossed me my receipt and went to the back, as a long time customer of Nordstrom Ill be driving to the city and New Jersey location even though this one is closest to me I will never ever shop here again!
I had ordered some shoes for me and my daughter it said it will be ready to pick up within four hours this was at 12:00pm so when I got to the store about 4:30 or so they said I only have one order and the other one is being shipped from another store which is in PA I said that’s not what it said online it said it will be ready within 4 hours so they told me that they cannot do anything as of right now so I asked them could they give me something for going though all of this they told me that they don’t do that I said wow that is a inconvenience for me they still didn’t care
As we all know, 2020 has been a brutal catalyst for change. The slow decline at Nordstrom has been accelerated to the point that when we went there today, the merchandise selection was sparse and a good number of the brands that I used to go there for are now gone. They are in great need of a reset, facelift...a refocusing of what they want to be.Although I dont believe well ever get the Old Nordstrom back I hope whatever emerges from this perfect storm of a retail tragedy is something exciting and different...something that will make people put down their devices and once again shop in 3D.
I love, love love this place. Its very clean and the clothing and the price of everything is to die for. The customer service appears to be good this far. Also the bathrooms are very clean. Keep up the good work all the staff at this Nordstrom especially the janitors/ cleaning staff. These guys deserve a raise.
Unfortunately, customer service and sales staff at Nordstrom – The Westchester make it pretty clear that theyre being bothered to help you.Im consistently disappointed by this store given the ongoing difficulty in finding anyone on the sales floor, customer service refusing to assist, and closing the store without notifying curbside pick-up customers.
Had the worst experience I have ever had last night. I went to ask about a pair of Ugg’s that had some damage. I was in the shoe department waiting on line and a woman at the register that was there packing shoes while the other was ringing some other els up. She asked if I needed help so I went and started talking to her and asked simple questions that she should have probably known about Nordstrom’s policy’s. All her reply’s were I don’t know. She was rude and had an attitude the hole time. Didn’t look me in the eye. And told me to go somewhere els. She didn’t have to ask me if I needed help while she was finishing what she was doing I was waiting patiently. I have never had an issue here before and I can say i was very alarmed about how I was treated. I was even there to buy another pair of Ugg’s and I had to walk out because I was taken back.
I love shopping here for the atmosphere and the brands they carry but their service beats any of the other luxury shops by far. They’ve always gone the extra mile to make sure I’m happy if I ever needed an exchange, return or any other help with anything. To me that makes a big difference and it’s why I’ll go there even if I can buy something at another store.
Whenever Im shopping for a purpose (date, event), this is the place to be. Everything is well laid out for me to decide quickly if I can find what I need. The sales racks also have great deals, though they could be better organized. The right sales associate can also be super helpful as long as youre clear about what you need. The cafe upstairs is also super tasty, with its fair share of alcoholic beverages also. The shoes selection is also great. They could do more to expand the bags selection, but otherwise, worth a trip when you know what you want.
We went to see Santa but ended up spending hours just browsing stores, window shopping and gasping at all the beautiful things in this mall. It is quite an experience. The mall is spacious and the decor impeccable. You know its a higher end retail mall. We went shopping at Sam & Nat as well as Lilly Pilitzer and the salespeople were accommodating, knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Nordstrom had almost anything you were looking for in a higher end fashion store.
I bought a shinola watch online. Yes its just a watch but when I opened the box the wooden box was busted. I opened the cardboard box and looked over the 41 size watch. The metal case was uniformaly scratched all the way around and the bottom and the buckle I doubt it happened in shipping. This was last of this color. I think they sold me the sample piece for full price. What a ripoff. Ill go to the store and return.
I bought a $2,220 bag with my boyfriend at this Nordstrom store and the lady and had such a mean face on and was rushing me and asking me if I was done as if I can make a decision in 5 minutes she looked like she dint want to be there had a attitude I asked her if she was upset and she told me she’s tired no excuse I work in retail and give the best service I can and never treat customers that spend so much money the way she did she gave me a attitude the whole time while her and her coworker just kept staring I feel so disgusted she should be fired and for the guy who works in the booth for parking he was like 70 something telling my boyfriend he was lazy because he couldn’t fit the card and totally kept insulting me and that’s when I had enough and said this is your job and he couldn’t reach and mind you my boyfriend is very respectful I felt so horrible here do not shop here it wasn’t worth a hour ride to get insulted by people that hate there job. I should be treated kindly when I’m spending so much money never again !
Purchased a nice mens suit that needed to be adjusted slightly,The tailor was great but the sales associate had the biggest attitude and even measured me wrong for a shirt. Luckily I tried it on when I got home and had time to exchange before my event. Horrible customer service.
This is one of those stores you can find so much that you want to buy.The staff is mostly friendly. Ive encountered a couple bad apples but by and large, very courteous.Parking can be a challenge sometimes especially exiting the parking garage.Great clothes, good selection, prices that match the quality of the clothing.
Not sure where to begin but I wish I could leave less tha one star. The rep in the store put In the wrong address and refused to adjust it. Had to call customer service multiple times and spend over 8 hours and on the phone and 3 weeks later to get nothing resolved. The customer service is a joke and clearly has no clue how to talk to people. Long story short Nordstrom’s should just go out of business. For me at this point I will never shop or accept anything from Nordstrom’s ever again.
I love Nordstrom for their shoe department. Love a pair of shoes and they dont have your size in store? They will ship to you for free. Im withholding a star for their lackluster beauty department. The sales personnel are horrible. Instead I head over to Neiman Marcus to make my beauty purchases. The staff is far friendlier and welcoming. Its in the same mall so I dont mind walking over for a better experience.
Up until today, I had shopped at Nordstrom for over 20 years. I first fell in love with the store while living in Seattle. The respect, the customer service and especially the merchandise were second to none.When I moved to Westchester the service was not as good as can be found in Seattle and even Denver. Nonetheless I kept shopping at the store. Well that ends today.This is all due to the express service department on the first floor. And the gentleman pictured in the photo attached to this review. He was rude, condescending and disrespectful to me. And he did very little aside from making snide remarks. His coworkers (4 of them) attempted to help him.He could accurately look up my order. He did not know where the items were. He could not distinguish between a refundI and a cancellation.At the end of my visit there he aggressively and sarcastically yelled youre welcome - I have worked in customer service for a bit and it is customary to THANK all customers. Nordstrom employees used to be well trained enough to understand. Now they are just another brand on decline.There are many places to shop in Westchester County. I dont have to take such treatment.If you see this guy in Nordstrom please avoid him.
I have received the BEST service from the Customer Service and Pickup. I am in NC and I am purchasing pickup items for my brother in NY. I called twice for two different orders requested for the items to be Gift Wrap. With no problem Tavian displayed wiliness to help me and assure me that the items will be Gift Wrap nicely.... Great Service Tavian, look forward to doing business with you again!!!!
This review is on the Tux section in Mens Department. Ezra is wonderful in assisting us in choosing my husbands Tux and we ended up getting Canali. Not too expensive for 100% wool full canvas tux. Now onto to the tailor section, Souleymane and Abraham were fantastic and very professional in handing our tailor needs. I think they went over and beyond their job descriptions. They are well mannered , polite and calm even though I went a bit crazy to them. I highly praised Nordstrom for having such a wonderful tailors. Thumbs up.
The shoe department is the absolute worst. I have visited fast food restaurants with better customer service and friendlier employees. I have never went to the shoe department and experience up to par customer services. In two memorable occasion I stood and watch a sales person on her phone having a personal conversation, looked and me waiting and didn’t even acknowledge my presence. Another time the sales representative act as if I was invisible, I guess they work on commission, so if you are not somoeone they assume is not going to have a large sale they don’t acknowledge you.. I stop spending my money there and only shop at Bloomingdale’s where I get amazing customer service. Very disappointing..
It’s a good Nordstrom. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and very professional. The store is always spotless, and the people who work here really work. It’s refreshing to see employees in this day and age who actually care about the way they present themselves and the way the store is presented.
Very disappointed with Nordstrom. I ordered two jackets online. One came two days late after Nordstromss PROMISED DELIVERY DATE, the other came on time but did not fit.The order that didnt fit was purchased on sale, and was quickly returned. Nordstrom emailed me confirming that when the item was available that I could purchase it for the same price.The item came back on, but in a slightly different color. I called Nordstrom they kept me on hold for about 15 minutes only to inform me that they wouldnt honor the email they had sent because the jacket was slightly different in color. NOT A HONORABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR A BUSINESS OF THIS MAGNITUDE. SHOP ELSEWHERE.
I signed up for updates (Nordys) and this is the FIRST WEBSITE EVER where I cant cancel this subscription! DONT DO IT! Dont sign up! NO unsubscribe option! There is NO phone number, nothing. I guess I have to go to freaking Nordstroms in person and haggle with whomever but theyre about 30 minutes drive from me.
Ill try to make this quick. I went a week ago and bought a pair of jeans and had them altered. Came home and tried the jeans on and they were 3 inches too short. The tailor and two other workers there gave the worst service. They were miserable and gave me a big attitude during the entire phase. I called and explained what happened with the jeans they said theyll order another pair since its sold out in my size. Called a week later and they never ordered it. I went into the store and looked for other colors and nothing appealed so I ultimately spoke to a woman there who asked how she could help. I explained to her she told me the lady I spoke to on the phone who was the manager that was supposed to order the new pair of jeans was fired (lol). I returned the jeans and she tried to rush me to sign off on the credit card machine but she didnt refund the money for the alteration. I told her, you messed up the alteration why would I pay?! After talking to another person in the tailoring department they refunded the full amount. Im not one to write reviews but this place is absolutely garbage. Im not sure if its because of holiday season or what but I literally encountered 5-6 unhappy and nasty individuals there. I wont be coming back. All in all, they wasted 2 trips to the mall, 2 hours of my time (you need to wait for alterations) and 6 dollars in parking fees. Good luck
This Nordstrom has vastly improved over its original inception a total renovation has improved the Mens department. Sadly, it is on one floor instead of two. Improvements throughout the store, on each floor. Personal Stylist worked with me, and was wonderful to meet, and to get her ideas.Many things about Nordstrom I really, REALLY LIKE. Call the store, order items, free shipping. Plus, I live in a tax free County, unlike Westchester. No sales tax under $150. Has become my go to store, both online and in store.
This Nordstrom is good ... but not great like some of other other big locations. Ive definitely found good things in this store but the selection is not as great or varied as some of their other stores. If you need that...the Paramus store is huge and carries everything. Its better for the higher end stuff and just more selection. Still a good store and Im glad its local. I love the Nordstrom Rack in White Plains...worth checking out!
Not the level of service I receive in other Nordstroms. Service is the S in Nordstroms. If one is willing to pay a little more based on service and a helpful staff that provides it then you may think of going to the new Flagship location in Manhattan or drive to the new Norwalk store. This location just doesnt stand up to the expectations one is expecting from such an iconic retailer.
Excellent and wonderful place to shop at not crowded just so pleasant to walk around with the family I went after the holiday just before New Years beautiful sale the employees was wonderful I recommend them they treat you so kind they patient they ask you questions while you wait and just enjoy yourself you have to go there..
I found it at The Westchester Nordstrom’s, great customer service at the handbag section and also in the casual wear Dept ,Rob was super friendly and accommodating . Nice lady in the dresses Dept as well .Personalize Service as your assigned to a dressing room with your name on the door .but parking was confusing even though I took a picture of where I was parked , still great price 3 bucks and I shopped for about 2 hours
Went to Nordstrom White Plains, made a purchase, left it at store for alteration and they promised to ship out the next day. Never received it and never heard from store again. Took multiple calls to find a person willing/able to check, gave me a tracking number, alas an invalid one! So after spending time going there, picking out the item, have to waste more time just to find out they lost it in store. Their idea of a solution is going to store and do this over again. What a joke. This is an example of why retail is (and should be) hurting.
If you are patient, and not stick to one specific item, you will find clothes that usually cost double for half price. Nordstrom is a place I have been shopping at for many years, since the days I lived in LA, and I still stop here once every few months to renew my closet.
The thing with the Nordstrom is that you get what you pay for and yes you pay top dollar and thats not necessarily a bad thing as there stuff is quality unlike the discount stores ...the service esp is great as with the mens suits dept they work with you until the end when you purchase making sure everything is in order ..and the fragrance and cosmetics dept is top notch never seen so many talented woman working in one dept...if they dont know a brand or able to answer a question its probably bc something doesnt exist kudos to the manager for training the team to be so on point ... No wonder why they are top in sales on the east coast year after year ...
Typical Nordstrom at excessive Westchester pricing.Location: Located in the Westchester Simon Wall in east White Plains, convenient access via I-287, I-95, I-684, Sprain Brook Parkway, Saw Mill Parkway, Taconic State Parkway and Metro North.Store Selection: Typical. The place is pretty comparable to a JC Penny or Macys. Unfortunately this place has frequently been becoming a hangout for middle and high school students, so its not exactly a place of shop at with young children unless or course you dont mind them hearing all the cussing coming out of their mouths.Pricing: Your in the NYC metro area, so expect to pay a premium. Tax here is also high, so expect to tack on an additional 8% (that does not include the cost of parking, as this mall charges for spaces).Overall, if Nordstrom can step up their game and police this shop better and institute more competitive pricing than maybe they have a shot at sticking around. If they continue on this track, they will certainly be heading in the same path as Kmart, Sears and JC Penny.
Extremely rude & unhelpful staff in kids department worst cashiers and managers and assistant managers did not help me or listen to me at all! spoke to most of the kids department staffAs soon as they hear the word return their attitude negatively changes & practically threw merchandise back at methey dont wait to hear what customers have to say and will rudely cut you off constantly!!staff is unprofessional and constantly pass responsibility around to different managers made me wait for 5 hoursthey, the kids department, sold me a defective product, specifically UGG Boots which I received used when I payed for new UGGS, and did not return the product claiming all different kinds of excuses such as not being able to return merchandise over a certain period of time even though there is no return policy on the receipt ! Aside from all that, staff members were speaking to me with such disrespect!I was completely unhappy with my Nordstom experience in the kids department and do not recommend going to the kids department at all! Staff has very unprofessional, negative attitude toward customers, no one knew what they were doing & I felt like I wasnt in Nordstom! I felt like I was dealing with people who really degraded me and that Nordstom hires just about anyone!! My wife my son and I went to get shoes for all of us, and the people a the kids dept are super nice and the ones at the ladies dept are nice also, but the gentleman that works at Mens department has an attitude and the service was awful, I ended up not buying my shoes :( no star for him and five stars for the other guys but over all 2 stars.

2021-12-04I’ve been shopping at Nordstroms at The Westchester for many years and today I had a wonderful experience that I felt was worth sharing . I’m going to a couple of weddings and needed a few pairs of dress socks. I had been to another men’s store snd was blown away by a pair costing $24 ! I couldn’t and wouldn’t spend that much for a pair of socks and while I guessed that Nordstrom’s prices would be comparable, I was pleasantly surprised that they had similar socks but priced three pairs for $30. I was thrilled but to my disappointment, I could only find two pairs at that price. To my relief, Susan, one of Nordstrom’s salespeople, asked if she could help. She looked in the storeroom and returned with the following offer, she’d sell me the two pairs for $10 each so I’d get the sale price ! I was thrilled and as a result I also bought a new L.L.Bean jacket that will replace my ragged North Face! I was impressed that Nordstrom’s has some great prices and while I’ve often shopped at the Nordstrom Rack, I think a smart shopper might get some great bargains and high quality clothing at Nordstrom’s!

2022-03-21Exceptional Customer Service in Womens Apparel! The experience I recently had while shopping with my elderly mother for a dress to wear at her granddaughters wedding was unforgettable. We had the good fortune to meet and be assisted by Ms. Shefille Coley, a department manager, who was not only incredibly helpful, she was also extremely considerate and patient with Mom. After helping us select an amazing gown, she then walked us over to the shoe department, and took the time to pull out several pairs suitable shoes for the occasion. She remained in constant contact with us through the process of ordering the dresses, as well as the fittings with the tailor Marly Schliessing, who was wonderful. She gave Mom a fit that made the dress look and feel like it was made to order for her. Dont waste your time shopping anywhere else!

Sometimes I think the parking people pocket the cash you give them they pretend to stick the parking ticket and sometimes leave the gate open you just hand them the cash? Do they pick or choose who they do it to? Change my view.

2022-01-17Nowadays theres nobody in these stores so shopping is a blast. Theres always someone available or soon to be available. I hope they survive this COVID era. Nice store with a wide range of options ranging from mid price to high end. Watch for sales.

2022-03-18This was three months ago, but I just came across the photos and wanted to review. Everything is wonderful about Nordstrom, the selection, the organization, the quality…including their infinite patience when you roll in with four teenage boys!
