Norstar has a great community, everyone I have met so far has been wonderful. All the features like the pool, the grills, the playground, the gym. I am really enjoying calling norstar my new home. Thank you so much for everything.
When there are work orders that need to be taken care of, the best way to get them resolved is to constantly have leasing office contact maintenance. Even though maintenance is short staffed, they do their best with fixing problems. Extreme work orders get taken care of in a timely manner. The building staff and maintenance workers are very nice people!
I just moved out a month ago and really enjoying living here. It’s calm , peace full, lots of parking area. Huge area around the building to walk around, gym and pool to enjoy. Thank you Norstar for accommodating me.
I moved in 09/01/2021. Heather was great throughout the entire process. She answered all my questions of which there were many. Heather is knowledgeable, patient, pleasant and a delight to work with. The apartment was clean, and everything was in good working condition. The windows are large and let much light in. I have a 2 bedroom and there are 2 walk in closets. Thats a real bonus. I met the maintenance men the day I moved in. They too were pleasant and friendly and encouraged me to let them know if I needed anything.
I recently moved here, and so far Im liking it. It so quiet and peaceful out here. The apartments are very affordable and well maintained.
I am not a tenant, only looking around online for an apt - may or may not be Norstar.I am leaving a 5 star solely because I saw several nonsense, ridiculous 1-star reviews from people with no self awareness but full of entitlement... I give 5 star to down-vote those nonsense people :)
My 76 year old mother lived here and was a model tenant . She passed away on 11/22/22. I found her on the floor at her norstar apts. called the manager 5 times finally got a call back offered no condolences just said I was responsible for rent. My mom could not flush the toilets for five months had to put toilet paper in trash. Had to get all of my moms furniture out by 11/31 or they said they would toss. Got all of it out and cleaned apt top to bottom. Below is the bill they sent me. These people are complete slum lords. Anyone who left positive review was paid by the management according to two maintenance people who came to my mothers funeral. Stay away from this place .
The Norstar complex is amazing! I moved in Nov 2020 and heather was extremely helpful! I have NO complaints at all! I love my apartment, it’s extremely COZY! Also, during wintertime the complex is very proactive about snow removal!! They are also great with trash removal and keeping community space always clean! I give them A+
I moved into Norstar within the last month. I have had some issues but the office staff as well as maintenance have been very attentive & good about correcting the problems I’ve encountered since moving in. I like the amenities norstar provides.
I moved into Norstar Apartments about a month ago, and its been a positive experience overall. The apartment is clean, quiet, and safe. Throughout the leasing process, Heather was amazing and always quick to answer my many questions.
Im loving it so far! I did not expect the place to be exactly like the pictures. My apartment has so much space just for me. The area is so quiet and peaceful, I sleep like a baby every night. The pool and the gym were the main reason I signed the lease.

My mother and I have lived here for 12 years and it is the worst place you can live. The front office doesn’t even answer their phone! We’ve had a plumbing issue in our apartment for about 3 months and they still haven’t answered. We’ve also had an issue with our oven but say they can’t do anything about it.(My mom has a friend who lives here as well. They have helped her with an oven issue)Heather in the office is VERY rude and throws attitude around for no reason. She acts like it’s the end of the world when you ask for help with something so you have to call corporate.Oh and speaking of corporate it’s changed 3 times in the last two years. RUN. Don’t bother looking here.Do NOT live here. You will regret it.
I just moved in last week, the complex looks decent, clean hallways, quite building, nice landscape, and what I liked mostly is that my unit had a new paint and carpet. Office staff and the The building housekeeper are friendly.So far what I have seen exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to the long period I will spend in Norstar Apartments.
I helped my son find and move into his new apartment here at Norstar Apartments. He loves it! We were thrilled when an apartment became available even sooner than we expected on June 1st. Norstar has been my home for over 2 years now. I’ve experienced good service from the ladies in the leasing office every time I’ve had an issue with my apartment. With Syracuse having long cold winters, Norstar has reliable heating and this is not even charged to your rent account!- satisfied tenant 😊
Just heard from my coworker that this place is making her pay a month of rent for when she wont even be there. Ive had several landlords in the past and they were always willing to work with me in terms of the leasing agreement. I am shocked that the management team and leasing office of this apartment complex are not willing to work with a single mom who just took in a foster child kid and is legally being forced to move into a bigger apartment, which Norstar cant even provide. I wouldnt recommend that anyone consider moving to a place with absolutely no compassion. She has told me over the past two years of the disgusting living conditions she has had to deal with here as well.
Norstar is great! The move in experience was very smooth, the building is very clean and quiet and the staff is very responsive!
We moved here just a few months ago. We cant compare Norstar to any other apartment complex. Norstar is always clean, always pleasant and the staff is very professional and really cares about the residents. There is plenty of place to walk the dog and the parking is very convenient. We also have a storage parking garage which is a huge plus! The clean up the snow so fast and do a great job at the plowing and salting.
Norstar is a great place to live and it have a good neighborhood. Personally i liked the place and provides good security. Leasing office team and Maintenance team they are awesome, they respond of no delay.
This apartment turned out to be the best option for me when I moved to Liverpool. The entire staff (office, maintenance, custodial) is extremely welcoming, helpful! and very personable. The property and additional amenities are very well maintained! I am always able to get ahold of someone if need be. Affordable, clean, and friendly. Great location.
My husband and I moved in October 2020 . We couldnt not see the apartment in person but due to covid Heather at the office was amazing it was perfect she send us a video .. It was fresh look brand new. Love that there is washer and dryer on each floor love the space and storage. Love the peace and quiet and everyone is so friendly . When things need to be fix they are on top of it . Also love they keep it cleaned as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking affordable place to live . Heather at the office answer any questions we had and any concerns.

I have been living in this community for almost four years now. I am liking this place. Lots of open area for kids to play. Secured buildings, nice and humble neighbors, and extremely kind and helpful leasing and maintenance staff. One call or online reporting, and either maintenance staff or leasing office people are there to help. Very accommodating.
Heather Haynes in the office was amazing! I had been looking for an apartment since November. The lovely staff at NorStar apartments we do kind and helped me walkthrough the process of getting a new place. Very helpful and their maintenance men were really informative. ^^ thank you so much!!

Been at Norstar apartments many years great landscaping, soundproof walls and great service when something breaks down. I highly recommend for easy apartment living.
First time renter here, the leasing office was nothing but helpful through the process, always responding to my emails and answering phone calls. The community has been wonderful and I am glad I made the choice to live here!
Very secure, clean and quiet place to live. I have only needed to contact the office a few times and they were very helpful right away. Washer and Dryers are convenient and not expensive and appliances all work really well.
The property is beautiful. The staff in the office are extremely nice. If you fill out the application to see if you are qualified and they ask for a $50 deposit to pull your credit score. The internet also ask for an additional $100 to hold the apartment. If you get denied then dont plan on getting your refund back like the application states. I have called the property several times asking for mine. It has been a month and still nothing. They dont tell you the reason for the denial. You will get the answer of let me talk to the accounting department. When I go and look again for a place for my 2 girls and myself. This is will be the last place that I will ever try again. I have spoken to several people about how they run their business. Definitely not how companies should be ran.
I’ve lived in Norstar Apartments for awhile now. I haven’t had any issues. Rental office staff has always been kind and because I have a young child I love that there is a working pool, playground and picnic area with working gas grills on the grounds.
I really miss living here. We moved out to another local apartment complex and it’s been a horrible experience. I’d honestly happily move back.
IM WARNING EVERYBODY IN THIS EARTH TO NEVER RENT AN APARTMENT HERE EVER! I lived here for a year since I signed a year lease and it was nothing but a nightmare. I didnt even stay in my apartment nor live there even though I furnished it. I stayed with family during that time - Yeah, it was that bad. Management is not good what do ever. The hallways smelled absolutely horrendous. Toilets never flushed properly nor did the shower ever work properly. Had a lot of like these bugs that Ive never seen before. I had to have glue traps like all over. It was just disgusting. The only girl in the office who was actually very nice, compassionate and caring was Jessica P...dont want to put her while name out there...but she was super nice. All these problems werent her fault - management just didnt seem to care...in my opinion. Do not waste your money here - you will regret it!
The place is absolutely lovely! The workers there are very very nice and helpful! I’ve lived here for 13 years and it’s been a wonderful time, every time i have a work order it is done on time and correctly and everything always looks nice. The other staff is very friendly and helpful in anyway. The winter challenges we face here in NY, you would never know by the 2 grounds guys that work here in the winter non stop to keep us from being stuck in. The guy in the white ford and the red Chevy do an absolutely amazing job with the outside, summer & winter. Lastly the manager is very courteous and is such a lovely woman.

This area has been cleared to reopen fitness center since September. I moved here because of the amenities this place offers. The gym has been closed for almost a year now. No reopening information has been provided. We paid a premium for this apartment because of the amenities. I had to join the YMCA to use amenities that is already included into my rent. Message to management. When will we get credit for the lost of service?
I will be signing my third lease with Norstar Apts. The office staff is very professional and always very helpful in resolving any problems I may be experiencing. The grounds are beautifully manicured and maintained. The maintenance and cleaning staff (Jessica and Adam) do a great job of cleaning and managing repairs in bldg., 6. These two employees really care about the tenants and their concerns. I really would like to see more of the tenants taking an active role in keeping their home clean, and quiet. This is our home let’s treat it with respect. Thank you

I have been living here for about a month and so far it is amazing. The staff is quick to respond to emails and answer any questions. The one minor problem I had while moving in was quickly taken care of.
I dont have too many issues with them but Ive called in a maintenance issue multiple times still hasnt been fixed. There snow removal is the worst Ive ever seen. If you have to leave before 7 in the morning expect the parking lots to be covered in snow and ice. Even after a snow storm they plowed what they can and then never return to plow the rest. Lately its been raining and freezing over and they still havent even tried to salt the parking lots or the sidewalks.UPDATE:Thank you Norstar for taking care of these issues right away. I have changed my 2 star rating to 5 stars because they jump on salting the sidewalks. I do want to make sure everyone knows that any maintenance issue in regards to the apartment have always been taken care of in a timely fasion. The maintenance issue has to do with the light at the top of the stairwell in building 3 stairwell C being out for so long. I rarely ever give a review but i was upset that my 32 week pregnant wife slipped and fell on the ice. I hope their momentum keeps going.

I have recently moved in to Norstar Apts &I am very happy with my apt. I am sure that I will be very comfortable there The rental office has been very helpful. Bethany has been very helpful with my requests as I am handi capped &she has helped me with my requests when I asked for a handi cap sign with my apt#on it I am sure I will be very happy at Norstar Apts. I looked at many apts in Liverpool &was impressed with Norstar & that was my choice to make my home
I love this place, something I have been looking for. Theres a lot to do here for everyone . Nice park for the kids, area where you can grill out, and a swimming pool, there is also a gym you can work out at. Everyone is so friendly.
All winter there is the sound of running water in the walls and it’s so annoying. They have the heat jacked up so high that it’s hard to breath all winter. I wish they would clean the laundry rooms and stuff too. Like everything is so filthy and smells weird. It’s not worth calling them because they don’t follow through with any complaint or request. I really wish they took better care of the parking lot of sidewalks because I’ve fallen twice in just the past month. Lots of bugs, bed bugs, roaches, etc. I’m just waiting for my lease to be up. Too bad because they keep the outside looking all nice in the summers to fool you into thinking it’s a good place to live but they ignore the residents and inside of the buildings. So sad 😞

My elderly mother lives here and this place is a disgrace! This used to be a beautiful little apartment complex and no longer. The reviews below are correct. Management lies right to your face. This is true as I have witnessed it. I have never encountered such immaturity and irresponsibility and lack of compassion in my life before having to deal with this team of management currently running this complex. You can’t even discuss anything with them as they are so combative the second you say something they don’t like they call you condescending and accuse you of arguing with them. I am trying to protect my mother and make sure she lives in a safe and clean environment. I reported two of the outdoor locks to her building not locking (which is a danger as one morning there were two unknown persons sleeping on the couch in their lobby) and two weeks later still nothing has been done about it ... nothing! This is a hazard and a danger. I asked back in February to have her carpet replaced as she has lived there 20 years and it was old and “ not nice” when she moved in. They did nothing. I reported it again two weeks ago and yet today I ask again and nothing... and then they start an argument because they don’t like to hear the truth. I have no temper. I rarely raise my voice. I don’t know anyone that would consider me argumentative. There is simply no talking to them ... it is childish defensive behavior and you can not have an adult conversation with them. Always on the defense. They simply do not care about anything except what it cost them!! THEM! It is not about the tenants.

I would have to come through here for work often. The buildings hallways always smelled of pot. The doors never quite felt locked. The drains on all the pipes in the two buildings I went through had issues. Keys supplied by the office were copies of copies of copies and always had trouble working. The first property manager I dealt with there, for my first three years working in the area, was a nightmare and argumentative for even basic requests (broken fixtures in apartments, new keys, etc). After she left the office staff became much more pleasant and seemed to be turning the property around.
I have lived here for a couple of years in building #5 (4825) and the experience has been very well. The staff all around the complex is very helpful with any problems and everyone goes above and beyond here to assist with any issues. The new manager is 10x better than the last couple, (the big guy and the other guy after him before the current one) the property looks 100x better than when they ran it. Over The past couple of years I’ve noticed the outside of the property has always looked fantastic and very well kept, although from time to time i see other residents throw their garbage all over the place and the outside staff is always on top of cleaning up other people’s mess. It’s a shame that the people that live here do not wanna keep it looking great all the time, but the staff here is overly on top of all issues. The old book keeper was kinda grumpy but that’s the only issue I’ve noticed with the staff. It’s been a pleasure being a resident here and would absolutely recommend this place of living to other friends and family. Coming from another country to living here has been a great experience.

I’m mad that I even had to give this hole in the wall one star. Awful place. This is a long rant, but if I can save someone from wasting their money here, it’s worth the read. I currently have a one year lease and I can’t wait until it’s over. I wish I listened to the reviews about the staff here. They’re the actual worst. I’ve been here for almost 5 months and my name is still not in the intercom system (“They’ll do it by the end of the week”). I’ve gotten that answer 3 times and I’ve given up on it happening. Maintenance has been in our apartment without giving us notice and somehow still didn’t fix anything that’s broken, but instead screwed our window shut so that it no longer opens and broke one of our blinds. They left the broken piece just sitting on our window sill. We had a severe leak in our bedroom last week. It took them an entire week to dry it and just paint over the damage. They also didn’t have a work order in for it and each day we needed to call them to come over and finish their job. They also managed to damage my end table and bed sheets in the process because they didn’t care enough to put any protective plastic or sheets down first. The people here are not good at their jobs. They just don’t care at all. Every time I’ve gone to the office they stare at me like I just interrupted them. I also still don’t have access to the fitness center because they haven’t put us in the system yet so I have no code to get in. Occasionally kids will run and scream down the hallways, but the people running this place are by far the worst.
My daughter lived there a few years ago and it was adequate so I recommended to a friend. The unprofessional behavior that I witnessed and that was received by my friend will sour my view of this apartment complex. There are so many that know how to treat a possible tenant. I’d move along.
I have lived here for several years and it has been a wonderful experience, i have always been treated kindly by the maintenance staff (the little guy with black hair is kinda weird) and the inside front office ladies were very helpful making my movin process very stress free! There’s always 2 outside men working to make the outside grounds looks great and in the winter they are literally always here it feels like. I also always see them picking up other residents mess at the dumpster or garbage scattered all over the grounds. It’s very unfortunate that the residents who live here do not have the courtesy to pickup after themselves, there’s always several garbage bags left outside 4783 dumpster and every single day it gets picked up by the grounds personnel, people leave mattresses all over the place. My personal opinion is that either the rent should go up alittle to get rid of the scum who live here or a notice should go out to each and every resident reminding them that someone has to pickup after them because they act like children. “Sorry for my rant haha” anyway it’s been a lovely experience and i would absolutely recommend this place of living to my friends or family
They threaten to tow your legally parked car multiple times a year. The office staff is rude and the maintenance staff is shady. The water is randomly so hot it can cause burns. They constantly spray pesticides on the lawn with no notice. There are bug infestations in every building. Dont move in if you value your sanity.

Nice apartments, nice people, but they let scumbaggs live here. There’s absolutely zero reason for some residents to feel like they run the joint! They need to be more strict and punish the scum who leave their trash all over! Sad thing to see and it makes the property look like @SS!I have been treated very fair by everyone i have had encounters with here, the manager last year (guy) was not friendly and kinda goofy) but the new lady is quite nice and i always see her walking around.To the guys that pickup everyone’s mess...... I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU! But seriously if management reads this i seriously hope they see the effort and work the 2 or 3 guys do here for the outside and the lawn always looks wonderful
This place is a living hell, they act all nice while giving you a tour and they drag you in with the fancy landscaping. the apartments are cheaply made, within the first two weeks my shower door fell off and since numerous things have broken the blinds fell out of the window the balcony door fell of the track and the apartment has so many bugs including roaches and bed bugs. the people in the office are rude and lose your money and will over charge you. exits are always iffy sometimes doors just won’t open from the inside or the outside. the elevator is sketchy and the light will just turn off while you’re in there. there is a decent pool but it’s rarely open and a basketball court but the hoops are always broken. the halls always smell repulsive and often like pot. there are vending machines in the laundry rooms but they rarely work.theres a mold issue i’m my bathroom and they neglected to address it no matter how many times i called and there has been numerous times that office workers have entered my apartment without me being aware and once left a hat and even a bowl of food and a drink. i would not recommend wasting your money here unless you enjoy being infested with bugs and people coming and going through your home as they please.
There are a lot of weird people living here. Unfortunately I think this place takes advantage of them but I have no proof. The manager here is lazy and lies to everyone yet keeps their job. It’s just a place where all they care about is keeping apartments full no matter who lives here as long as they have money. I wish the management company would make an effort to fix the problems with staffing. It’s unfortunate because this place was run better years ago when the crazy old lady who smoked like a fiend ran the office. I’m sure they will reply to this review with a prefab reply as always and nothing will be done. I wish I had found a better job so I didn’t have to sign my lease again.And no I didn’t use my real name because I fear retaliation and can’t afford to be harassed or worse evicted 😔
I currently live in building # (***) and overall i enjoy living here but the amount of trash this place accumulates is ridiculous. I don’t know if it’s the dis functional trash pickup schedule or the amount of dirtbags that the management lets live here. It’s absolutely disgusting to bring my trash to the dumpster and have to step over other people bags of trash that they just leave on the ground. Old Nasty food and diapers, most of it is curry scented left laying all over the place. Management here needs to do something and hopefully someone can figure it out.***Didn’t mention my apartment or building number because im not here to pick out things that are bad but for someone to notice it themselves***Overall the staff is pretty friendly and they do the best they can with what they’re given.

This place was okay at the beginning, quiet and semi private. Then as you live here things go south, firstly they towed both of our cars without notice and referenced a vague poorly marked flyer, the towing company only takes cash at a rate of $200 per car. They slid a notice under our door that if we didnt specifically opt out of our lease they would renew it for 12 full months automatically with a rate hike. Last but not least there are a lot of crazy people roaming free, some of them nice, some of them not so much. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, save yourself a year of your life and steer clear.
DO NOT RENT FROM NORSTAR Apt in Liverpool NY, PLEASE please do your research and ask for recommendations. Ask to visit a few different buildings and a few different apartments. My 2 older children moved in with my 2 year old Granddaughter. At first sight and tour it looked great. After they moved in things started to fall apart and it was an act of GOD to get anything fixed? The kitchen was infested with bugs not really sure if they were roaches and they had issues with bed bugs. It was a complete nightmare from the time they moved in and only got worse when they moved out which couldn’t come fast enough. The staff was rude and I will tell you DO NOT COSIGN FOR any REASON. They are thieves and blatant liars and need to be shut down and reported to the BBB. Excessive charges after you move out that were unexpected only to be told when you completed the walk through and turned over the keys that everything was fine. ONLY to receive a Letter 2 months after they moved and the date on the letter was dated 3 weeks prior threating to take legal action and report me to the credit bureau. Excessive charges for replacing the entire carpet, cleaning, replacing doors, floors and countertop. My only savings grace and I would encourage you to take pictures of EVERYTHING and I mean everything before you move in and after you move prior to turning in the keys. I have to say this is the first time I have ever written a review BUT I just couldnt let this one go.
Clean grounds, well-kept interior, cat-friendly. Office staff is prompt and courteous. Maintenance is very friendly. If you don’t like humans, their sounds, or their smells, rent or buy a house.

Renting with Norstar was by far the worst experience Ive ever had in my life. As a first time renter living alone I found Norstar to be the best option based on rent pricing and the neighborhood. After working with Darla, Lisa and Kim, I wish I had gone with a more expensive property, as clearly theyre not being paid enough. I am a full time college student who works full time, when I noticed I would be receiving a referral bonus for referring a friend to the complex I thought perfect! Unfortunately it took my contacting Darla every other day for two weeks and eventually contacting her regional manager to see an ounce of progress with the money they owed me. Unfortunately after 6 months with Norstar I received notification that Id be losing my job, I notified Darla well in advance and we spoke about my options. Not only did she fail to mention the $350 administrative fee to break my lease, but she let me continue living there for my free month which she notified me Id also have to pay back. After handing Darla the $2,000 it eventually cost me to move out of my apartment, I thought I was free from this mess. Almost a month later I received notification that Norstar would like me to pay an additional $570 for their cleaning services (something Darla said was included in the $350 admin fee) including $40 to clean the outside of cabinets, $40 to clean the countertops, and $150 to clean the brand new carpets- all of which were covered with area rugs for the entirety of my stay.Needless to say, the business practices in this establishment are embarrassing at best, the women who work in the office (Darla, Kim and Lisa) are less than accommodating, far from pleasant and overall the experience was absolutely AWFUL. I would never recommend renting with Norstar and I wish I hadnt referred a friend or found a new tenant to move into my apartment (another task Darla advised I do on my own to avoid paying rent once I moved out). Im mortified to even have to waste my time posing this story on a public forum, but I would hate to have anyone else live through an experience like mine.
Avoid all ZAREMBA properties!Absolute slum! Dirty bug infested buildings, lazy maintenance workers, broken locks, broke glass doors that don’t get repaired for months, laundry facilities that are outsourced and rarely working properly, ice covered sidewalks and parking areas all winter, but with all those issues the biggest problem is the office staff. The office staff is lazy, unmotivated, rude, and doesn’t know how to keep its workers in line. I guess the only plus side is if you’re looking for drugs every building reaks of marijuana so finding a dealer shouldn’t be hard. Also if you want to pay more for car insurance cars get broken into around here often. Maybe if they had better lighting instead of parking fake police cars all over it wouldn’t be such a problem.Update: In their response they say they do not park fake police cars to deter criminals this is false and I have photos. This just proves the type of lairs they are. You can’t find my unit number? Good because I don’t need to be hassled by your staff or evicted. Take a walk around your complexes occasionally and you might see the problems I’ve stated. It’s Sunday morning January 20th and we are in the middle of a snow storm and you have yet to plow, shovel, or salt. Slumlords.
This place has really change from years ago. It’s quiet. The staff is excellent and quick responding. The grounds are well kept.
Okay...apartments are just okay...not great....hallways need some work...they are gloomy looking and smelly.

Darla from the office is a complete screw up and the most impolite person youll meet there. spoke with her about moving my move in date and confirmed it would be ok, pro rated what it would cost to move in at that time and I thought I was set. showed up and my apartment wasnt ready for me to move into and Darla claimed to have never made the arrangement with me. then upon moving out paid an astronomical amount for cleaning when Ive never been billed by any other apartment complex Ive ever lived at. STAY AWAY.
I have very worst experience in Norstar apartments. Living in Norstar apartment is like a living in hell. Let me first say that DO NOT MOVE TO NORSTAR(HELL).Darla from managment is terrible from management. They will simply lie and cheat the tenants by showing old problems. They have given bed bug apartment to me and tried to charge $2000 for the treatment. But already given apartment is having the bed bug history since 2 years . They did not showed me the history of the apartment but tried to fool me. It was very bad harasement from management especially on fines. Please do not move to Norstar(Hell) and get unnecessary headaches.
It’s a nice place. Sometimes the neighbors are loud with cars and motorcycles. But overall it’s a good community. It’s clean and convenient.
You know what’s really logical is when you send threatening letters saying that you will get evicted if you leave the doors to the building open when the doors to the building are broken or have no locks on them. Yeah that really makes sense to blame the tenants when it’s your maintenance who dont fix them. Just maybe taking a walk around the buildings once a year will help?
Had several problems that they were unable to fix, the only thing they offered was for us to move. Which would have been great if they didnt offer it as a ploy to get us to sign another lease for more money. Building 1 Apt 315 should never be leased out, the noise of water running through the pipes all hours of the night has been going on since we moved in, then the boiler started making vibration noise in our living room, took them over a month to get a specialist in to fix it. Our garage started leaking, got that fixed the next day except they take the gutter spouts off so water runs into your garage, and ruins anything that is on the floor. Also the people down the hall smoke pot every night so our hallway reeks. Finally, al of the updates that they did to the bathrooms and kitchen are all done halfway, I still have a hole in my wall in the kitchen where a cover should be since its the phone electrical box. I informed them of all of the issues that needed to be taken care of, to the point of writing them down for them, and yet nothing has happened, this was months ago. I would not recommend this building to anyone, I dont know about the other buildings but I would not rent here ever again, in this building or any other building.
The amount of garbage bags left at the dumpsters and not inside is absolutely insane! Today is obviously after a holiday so the trash is picked up later, there’s atleast 40 bags outside one of the dumpster. Can this be picked up more than it is? Place looks horrid with all the trash around, it gets cleaned up and then it’s right back there againI got a picture but it wont let me upload it
Horrible parking!!! Not enough spots per apartment, it’s always littered with needles and trash. Can never find a spot to park. Rent is outrageous if they can’t accommodate guaranteed parking.

Office saff aitude is that they are doing you a favor. Arrived 15 minutes to five pm on a weekday to have the manager on duty inform me that they were abou to close so I would have ot return the nex day. I guess these days the management companies have such a high retention rate that they can afford for their managers to turn away business instead of showing a model or vacant which doesnt even take the 15 minutes she and her staff had left in the work day. Then to make things even more interesting, it seems that this management company has no qualms with discriminating against dog owners displaying an unfair bias towards cats. Oh yes! THIS property will let you have a dog IF you go get yourself diagnosed with a mental of physical disorder in order to get your pet registered as a service animal or confort animal in which case you cannot be refused. What do you want to bet that even IF you did aquire this satus for your pooch that this snippy manager would find another reason to refuse you if you are a service dog owner? I fail to see how this blatant descrimination is tolerated by the law here. Again...cats are allowed and totally encouraged like its their own private cat sanctuary while dogs are not permited unless they cannot legally refuse them because they are service animals. The cats do not have to be certified service animals mind you. That IS discrimination. If they dont want dogs then dont have cats either. This would then be non-discriminatory. Aparently a cranky cat lady with personal issues with dogs runs this place. Never mind that feral cats are ruining the wild cat population because a lot of cat owners are lazy and let them run wild instead of changing the litter box. I suppose my point here is that like too many property managers this one is run by someone who enjoys power and if she and her management company will play such games over a pet, what else is whe willing to discriminate about? What else would she be rude and unfair about? Well she made sure she ran me off! Good luck living here if you want to deal with a rude power tripping cat lady and her could-care-less office staffs atitude. Lord knows they are doing YOU a favor by giving you the time of day. Right?

Office staff, cleaning, and maintenance are the main reasons this place is a nightmare. After a nuclear war all that would be left are the cockroaches at Norstar and office staff. When they do the tour be sure to ask to see the other buildings. Bring a gas mask!

I cannot get a straight answer. I call every day. I get different time frames... only nice person is Amy. Making things up as they go along. Treat you like you are a moron .... I have my doctorate. I should have done so much more research however I moved in a hurry.

Dont rent at Norstar Apartments, we had a bad experience here,first they charge about $3200 at signing of the lease ,$200 security check and alot of hidden fees,the staff who works at office are very rude, and the buggs are every where in kitchen bathroom bedrooms, i feel worry about my kids ,i cant renew my lease after this.

Horrible, hallways consintly have a vile smell in every building, only one person at the main office has any sort of manners, upon moving in I found that our refrigerator was duct taped together, all in all it was a most unpleasant living experience and I would not recommend in.
VERY RUDE management ,Don’t move here , Beware they try to find a thing just to charge you More and MORE, don’t let their first smile trick you she charge us about $900 only just for clean the carpet , and $25 if you lost the key just to open the door for you.

2022-02-24They keep the property and the building so very clean. The entrance into your building is very impressive. It is set up with beautiful furniture. The elevator is great and the mail room and laundry is located in every building. Your laundry room is so nice with newly installed high end machines. The office staff is very nice and the maintenance is very extending. With the price of apartments now this property is a good value for your money. They are sensitive about keeping the price affordable. Good Choice.

The area is conveniently around everything and not to far of a drive from other shops and stores. I’m glad I did not give up trying to find an apartment, this place has been amazing.

Lobby area and hall ways are all well maintained and kept to a very cleanly standard. Bonus is having a elevator to get too and from your floor. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new home.

2022-06-23Norstar Apartments is wonderful complex in Liverpool and is perfect for families or just for yourself, the location is great and very convenient to get to tons of restaurants, stores and the mall while is also a quiet, serene neighborhood. Laundry, pool and a gym are on the property and the lawn is always taken care of. All around a great place to stay!
