We are very happy with our experience with North Eastern! Service at the time of the purchase of the pool was fantastic. During install they were like a well oiled machine... on time and on budget. Their service after has been stellar. If you dont give them a chance when shopping for your next pool, you could be missing the boat.
This company and their personal are probably the finest around. Everyone chips in to make sure you are completely satisfied without having to wait forever to get what you need. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and can answer your questions without hesitation-and if by chance they cant there is someone there that can help. In this Covid time with all the changes we all had to make-they made it as easy as possible to conduct business. I am considered a high risk person with this pandemic; and I must say I never felt uneasy going to pick up my orders! They have a handle on this whole issue. I have recommended them quite a few times- and it seems to be the general comment that they are wonderful to deal with. Thanks Northeastern!
They do a great job, and seem like they have fun working here. I am at North Eastern 3-4 times per summer, and they always have what I need at a fair market price. Corrado rebuilt my above ground pool pump like a champ, and its good for a couple more years again. Thanks!
Last summer we decided to put a pool and spa in our backyard. We did some research and decided to have Northeastern do the job. Steve was our salesman. He was very knowledgeable and responsive to questions we had. He helped us decide on the size and shape of the pool, chlorine vs. salt water, and the associated equipment. Theres a lot to decide, but he made the process very easy and was a pleasure to work with. The planning and construction crews came next. Due to weather delays outside of their control, they started a bit later than we expected. But, all of their workers were very courteous, had great attention to detail and really showed they care about customer satisfaction. Debbie helped us through the installation process and I just cant say enough nice things about her. There were a couple of bumps in the road during installation; but, given the complexity of the project, this seemed normal. What mattered most to me was that when we had concerns, Debbie was very helpful and it was clear that her goal was our satisfaction. When she felt it was necessary, she even got the owner involved to ensure everything was resolved to our satisfaction. With all of the rain weve had this season, our liner floated. I talked to Brianna who is wonderful to work with and who sent Don out to fix it. Although I didnt meet him in person, he quickly had the problem resolved and gave us his expert advice on how to avoid the problem again.Since the pool first opened last season, I have visited their retail store weekly to have our water tested. They have lots of pool toys (the combo volleyball/basketball has been very popular with our kids), accessories and all of the chemicals needed to keep the water crystal clear. The retail staff have always been friendly and provide great customer service. I love that they test my pool and spa water for me as often as Id like and help guide me on what is required to maintain the right chemistry. Im sure the water test kits they use arent free, so I buy all of my chemicals and accessories from them as a sign of appreciation.Over the past year, weve had a couple of issues with the spa as well (not Northeasterns fault), but Talia was very responsive and the service guy Tony is a wizard at fixing things. All repairs were done expeditiously and under warranty.Overall, everyone Ive talked to or dealt with at Northeastern has been friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and professional. Theyve shown us that they truly care about customer satisfaction. Weve had a great experience with Northeastern and Id highly recommend them if you are considering installing a pool or spa.
The staff who tests the water and explains what chemicals you need to keep your pool clean have NEVER let me down! We also use them to close our pool each fall. They were the ones who originally installed our pool (still beautiful 12 years later), repaired our heater when it broke (found us used parts to give us the most bang for our buck), and replaced our liner last year. Our pool is gorgeous and have given us much enjoyment over the years.
Both my wife and i have called separate times...left our numbers and asked for a return call. They were recommended for us to contact for pool service and new business. They have not returned one request for callback. At least four different calls for help in the past two months. Their business must be so good they are picking business they feel is most profitable...disappointing.
Our familys experience with North Eastern Pool & Spa has been great! Clear information provided to allow us the ability to make the best decision for our family and budget. We feel well informed and comfortable asking questions without concern of being sold something we dont need.
I moved to Rochester 2 years ago and was so happy to find North Eastern Pool & Spa. The pool of the house I was moving into was in terrible shape. They helped me get it clean and ready to go! Very quick and responsive service. Love the free water tests to make sure I am good to swim! A+++++++
Good. Have a great selection of chemicals and they can fix anything/everything. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because their techs that opened our pool took off without letting me know they were done and leaving. I was home, I had talked to them and had a few questions because this was our first year in our new house with this pool. They taped my invoice to the garage and left.. which said there were several leaks and issues with the opening. That is something I would have liked to be shown/ explained.
This company has been awesome to deal with. We decided to get an in ground pool and I decided to ask 2 friends and both had gotten their pool from Northeastern and were extremely happy. So I contacted a gentleman name Steve from Northeastern and he came out the very next day to check the site and made a recommendation on where to put the pool. This was Nov 2018 and I wanted the pool installed and completed by June 1st 2019. Around 1st of March 2019 John came out and measured the space, by March 18th the pool was installed and the crew was absolutely the best. All were extremely friendly and courteous. Within 3 days after that another person came with the liner and installed that, again extremely friendly. The electrician showed up few days later and powered everything up.I was advised to stop at their shop with a water sample and someone would go over everything I needed to know. A very knowledgeable gentleman helped answer all my questions. So far only thing left is the concrete to be poured and we should be ready for the summer season. One important note: My main contacts were Steve and Debbie, both were incredibly helpful and their response time was excellent anytime I had a question.I also felt like I got a great price based on some research I had done. More importantly was their professionalism as this is a big investment and one expects to deal with a great organization.I would highly recommend Northeastern Pool to anyone looking to get one.Thank you again Northeastern team.Oz Engin
In fact, North Eastern Pool & Spa is our familys ONE-STOP pool store/service. I had been using them for many different reasons - buying pool stuff, having them close/open our pool, and do several services (patch holes in liner, tune up filter, repair pump, etc...). Never once I was not happy with them!
10 year customer and regret all 10. We have spent thousands chasing the same leak and still no resolve. The may have in fact made it worst with their insistence to re-open the pool in the fall to try and fix the leak. They may very well have had water get back in the lines and they admit they never did blow the lines out again before closing the pool again. Made reference and tried to blame the company that has opened and closed my pool for 10+ years saying they may have forgoten to blow the lines out when they closed it. My wife and I watched them close the pool and they have never forgotten to blow the lines out. The guys from Northeastern that re-opened and serviced the pool for the leak in the fall said they did forget to blow the lines so who is at fault. That cost us $3,000 and problem still exists. VP of service or whatever he is the VP of has no business talking to customers and when we asked to speak to the owner he said the owner/President (Locally owned) is never around and we cant talk to him. Some family business. Talked to us like we were garbage rather than customers who have dropped a lot of money over the years on them. So, 10 years and $10K and they say they cant fix it and dont want to be bothered by us anymore. Its not like we are thrilled dealing with them as well. Said its the pools fault, the company that closes our pool etc, Never them. Complained to us that they have been working on same problem for years. Funny how they never had a problem collecting the money for the past 10 years. You would think if they are reputable they would have said they dont want to work on our pool the very first time they came for the first problem 10 years ago. No, they milked us for 10 years and when we finally said enough and called them out, they said they are done and again, the VP couldnt have been anymore an @#$. Will report them to better business bureau and may contemplate a lawyer to recoup the $3K we spent last fall fixing absolutely nothing. They do not know what they are doing.
With all the restrictions with COVID-19, Northeastern did not miss a beat - I had an equipment installation this year, this was done, without a hitch- and they even scheduled me around my crazy schedule. Andrea and the retail team worked tirelessly to assist with water testing, opening supplies, chemical questions... etc - GREAT JOB Northeastern - You get 5 stars from us!
Very disappointed with North Eastern a second time! Decided to give them another try this year (had problem in the past) with purchasing another above ground pool. After visiting three places, they had the style of pool we wanted and Craig the salesman was very nice and pleasant to work with. Buying the pool was a good experience... getting it up was not! They don’t really tell you another company will be installing the pool until you go to pay, then they take the price of install off because you will pay the installer directly- Zach Smith Landscape. We paid April 7th, our pool was installed July 8th. We purchased in April to beat the rush! The weather in May and early June was horrible this year, totally know that! However, then it turned beautiful and after several calls to the installer we were finally given a date in mid- June. Later I got a call it would be the end of June. Then I got a call it would be July 1st. The night before that I got a call (from his rude scheduler who said she had six other people that were mad she was changing their date too) changing it to July 8th. What a nightmare! July 8th they finally came! The pool looks good. Zach did a nice job but it took a lot to get to that point! I also didn’t realize they cannot put ladders together so now looking to do that. All trash is left for you to take care of too. Just not what I expected from a professional group! I kept North Eastern informed of my problems getting the pool installed. Though they were nice and listened to my concerns, nothing happened... therefore I would not recommend buying an above ground pool from them.
The shop is clean, well stocked and the people who work there are sincere and very helpful. The service department however is entirely the opposite. The did a terrible job of closing and opening the pool. In addition, they did not even notice that the skimmer line was malfunctioning when opening the pool. After multiple calls, they sent someone to evaluate it and charged me 2 hours labor to tell me that there is a crack somewhere in the skimmer and they do not know how to locate it! Multiple phone calls later, my husband got to speak with the owner Paul - who just gave excuses and then promised to come and evaluate the problem himself. Four weeks later, we are still waiting. TERRIBLE SERVICE and no respect for their customers. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. We have stopped shopping there as well.
Recently purchased a spa from Northeastern Pool and Spa. The whole buying experience was such a pleasure. Steve gave us all the facts but then let us make up our own minds with absolutely no pressure. The delivery men were knowledgeable and professional. This is the second spa we have purchased there (left the old one at our old house and it is still going strong 15 years later). We would highly recommend doing business with Northeastern.
Very easy transaction. Super staff. I put a deposit for a pool down about 2 months ago and have decided to hold of for now and was worried about them making a big deal about asking for my deposit back. I was completely shocked no questions asked and refunded me immediately. Great customer service Northeastern.
I love this company. We worked with North Eastern last year on a pool project that was fairly complicated and involved a few different phases/contractors. They were easy to coordinate with and did a fantastic job. At the very end of our project they ran into an issue with a supplier that had the potential to cause a delay in our project. They, as a company, pulled off a complete turnaround that is too long of a story to include here but was one of the greatest examples of customer service I have ever seen. From our initial point of contact (Mike Gorsky) to the entire North Eastern team everyone was clearly invested and the end result was a really incredible pool. Im completely impressed with this company and would absolutely recommend them.
Friendly and helpful staff who are knowledgeable about pools and their maintenance. Good for everything from installation of pools and hot tubs to supplies and chemicals. Can typically find chemicals cheaper elsewhere, especially online, but its sometimes convenient to get from them as they have a good supply in stock. Building is not difficult to get to, if somewhat out of the way.
5++ STARS!!We had our inground pool installed in 2015, one of the largest purchases I have ever made outside my home and they made it such a great experience. 2 yrs later pool is still amazing and they are always there for me if I have a question or problem. I highly recommend Steve (sales) and the entire Northeastern team.
We bought a house three years ago with a fairly new liner by North Eastern Pool & Spa. The liner is already failing and is only 5-6 years old. Not an install problem but a manufacture problem. Warranties are not transferable, not happy about that but not North Eastern Pool & Spas fault. Went in to talk with them about getting a new liner because they already have the measurement and should be able to do it easy. I was instructed to call Vice President Gene Habeck after an email and two calls I finally got a call back 4 days later. He told me he did not want my business, that they did not want to sell me a liner since I already had a problem with one from them. I have never heard of a business turning down more business. Stay away from North Eastern Pool & Spa.....ask around when working with them you will always have issues.
We purchased our first pool from Northeastern 2 years ago. The sales people and store staff were excellent. However, they subcontract the installation of the pool itself. On the day the pool was installed we had plans for the day but, the installer said they were all set and didnt need us there. (also while I heard a crew member/helper give a sexist remark towards me). When we returned the pool was done and looked great. By mid summer however, the liner is turning white in spots and is bumpy. They sent someone out to look at it but, they blame it on the way we are putting the chemicals in? I guess I could understand the discolor but not the bumps in the liner. But, again, this is our first pool and we knew nothing about pools or pumps. There was no instructions left for how to control the pump..backwash, rince etc...When it came to closing the pool we called someone else and at that time they let us know that the pump should not be tilting as bad as it is and should have been level. It is very heavy and is something that I can not do. It is so un level that the motor does not sit or attach properly. We were given the cheapest hoses possible and never given a backwash hose..which being uneducated when it come to pools, we had no idea of this. So, this other company took the time to show me step by step how to run the pump and instructions for opening and closing. Again the store was great but be aware that they use subcontractors and obviously once the sale is done they are also done. Meanwhile, I have a pump that is tilting and needs to be dug out and leveled and I have to go purchase a backwash hose.
We had our above ground pool liner start leaking and called North Eastern to see if they could help us with a new liner and they did. The liner was installed properly and looks great! It was a pleasure working with North Eastern and would recommend them to my friends and family.
Called to get a quote to have our pool liner replaced and they have absolutely no interest in helping you. Greg was rude and condescending. They are only interested in working on pools they installed or will install. Needles to say they will not be receiving business from me.
Northeastern pool and spa has been so great to work with while building our inground pool. They were on time and everything went smoothly. Brianna has been extremely helpful and great to work with each year with our openings and closings. I would highly recommend northeastern pool and spa
Absolutely the best. We had our inground liner replaced by NorthEastern. The staff and installers were on time on budget and highly professional. I was kept informed throughout the process and all my questions and concerns were promptly and thoroughly answered. I cant say enough about how great our pool liner looks! Thank You Very much! Tom M
I needed help with a pool hose from the electric pump to the sand filter. The young guy behind the counter with the huge beard and shaved head took what I brought into him and patched the two pieces together for me. I felt he went above and beyond what would be normally expected. I got home, installed the hose and all is good... thank you!
Terrible experience! Terrible service! Bought my pool in 2012- installation a nightmare, had to be done twice, at the expense of my water and chemicals. Liner wont stay in place year after year upon opening the liner has come loose. Leave messages - no prompt response.
Made the mistake of hiring a subcontractor this company suggested. We had them install a new liner in our pool and it has been a problem after another. A week after the installation we have found two leaks, large creases in the bottom of the liner, and the top has begun to sag due to the poor installation of the liner into the bead that should hold it in place.Dont make the same mistake we did.
The staff needs to be more aware, you do not refuse service to a customer, who can not wear a MASK!A lesson in LAW....We have HEPA laws, remember those ? Cant know or decide other peoples health issues, even a SPOUSE!Second: Disability ActThird: RELIGIOUS RIGHTS!!!I AM A CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTAND THE LAST TIME I HEARD AND THANK GOD ITS STILL TRUE WE DONT LIVE IN A COMMUNIST COUNTRY WHERE OUR OWN CITIZENS POLICE OTHER CITIZENS!THE COMPANY DID ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND DID APOLOGIZE TO ME BUT I DID NOT RECEIVE SERVICE THAT DAY AND I DROVE A LONG WAYS TO GO THERE, AND HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR 10 YEARS.IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW THESE BOGUS REGULATIONS THEYRE NOT THE LAW THATS ANOTHER POINT ITS NOT THE LAW!! ITS 6 FT OR OR A MASK AND NOW ON THE NEWS TODAY THOSE MASKS ARE NASTY THEYRE NOT DOING THE JOB SO THIS WHOLE THING WAS OUT OF LINE!!IT CREATE OTHER CUSTOMERS THEN BEING NASTY TO THE PERSON YOU SINGLED OUT.NO PLACE OF BUSINESS BUT A RESTAURANTENFORCES A MASS TO BE WORN AND THEN THATS A JOKE WHERE THE MASK IN TAKE IT OFF TO EAT LAUGH JOKE BIRD WALK AROUND PUT THE MASK ON TO GO PAY AND LEAVE THIS WHOLE THING IS CORRUPTION AND DESTROY YOUR BUSINESS ...SAD, BUT TRUE!STOP LIVING IN FEAR AND WHAT IF....PANDERING TO COMPLIANCE!

2022-07-12Used them for the first time this year to open our inground pool, which is a SALT WATER POOL. Apparently never checked for salt as wehad someone else come out to see why we had black and green algae in the water. Had to add 240 lbs of salt plus chlorine tabs. And thats just the beginning. Asked for the guy that had worked on our pool to come out as we were leaving on vacation in a couple days. Got were really swamped, Ill see what we can do. Never heard from anyone. Filing claim w/BBB on Tuesday.

2022-06-22I used to work with Steve Habeck on pools and spas everyday the sun was out and he knew more about pools spas and life in general than anyone else I met. so much that almost ten years later I hear his lessons ringing in my head still. Ive never gotten the chance to say thank you properly. My names Christian and Id love to say thank you to him in person

2022-04-26We hired North Eastern Pools and Spas to do a liner replacement for our inground pool. We went with them because they were a family owned business with years in the industry. We were told we needed to put down a deposit to ensure our job to be done in Spring of 2021, so in fall of 2020 we paid for half of the job, and were told we would pay the remainder upon completion in Spring. At the time when the liner was put in it was raining heavily , but we were told that this would not be an issue. It took several days as the install began on a Friday, and the pool had to fill slowly in stages with fans running in order to keep the liner in place. The installer came out to finish installation on Monday, and the liner was sagging and wrinkled off the pool walls, The installer assured me that once the pool was full the wrinkles and sagging would be gone. We accepted this as the liner looked much better once we did have the pool filled. In the fall we closed our pool and once again the liner wrinkled and sagged. We immediately called and the service representative told us that she had notated the account , and that they would address it first thing in opening season in Spring. I called North Eastern pools in mid April of this year ,2022 to inquire about addressing the issue once we opened the pool. When I called , the service representative I spoke to was dismissive and unapologetic as she proceeded to tell me that they would come out sometime in June or possibly even July, weather permitting to assess the pool liner. I asked why I would have to wait as this was a job I had paid for which was under warranty. She told me that after they did “ pool reopenings”, they would come out after they addressed the 15 other people in line ahead of me. She proceeded to talk over me to the point I actually thought she couldn’t hear me , and that our connection was bad. She told me flatly ,” no I can hear you” . I told her it was unacceptable that I’d have to wait as this was a job already paid for that should have been completed correctly in Spring of 2021. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told much of the same , and this woman laughed and insinuated that I was lying when I told her I was assured in the fall it would be addressed first thing in spring. My husband removed the pool cover and we saw that the liner looked even worse than it had in the fall. My husband called and spoke to Gene ( the owner) who told my husband he, “ would not send anyone out to look at our pool without a credit card on file” . My husband told him this was a warrantied product/ service and that it wasn’t done correctly the first time , and that he would not pay additional money . My husband and I didn’t feel that we were comfortable with using North Eastern Pools not only after failing to do the job correctly, but also in light of how we were treated by the owner and service team. I’m thoroughly disappointed in their workmanship and their disregard bordering on contempt for their customers. Install errors can happen, but not standing behind their work, and the lack of regard for a customer who has paid for a job that wasn’t done well initially and then telling that customer they’d have to wait till June/July for any service appointment is completelyunacceptable. The fact that pool openings were to be addressed first , (I’m guessing because this was money to be made versus monies already paid), is beyond wrong and prioritizing customers over a job that was supposed to be done right the first time is egregious. Our options were to not have a pool to use until June or July, or to go with someone else and lose the money spent on the initial Install by paying someone else to fix their mistake. We chose the latter. Do not make the same mistake, do not go with Northeastern pools and spas. They do not respect their customers time or money, and they do not stand by their work

2021-06-30I had a leak in my pool. The service department was fantastic and guiding me what to do to help troubleshoot it prior to them coming out to find the leak. They were able to find the leak and Repaired on the spot. The gentleman that took care of my leak were fantastic. The overall experience for North Eastern Pool was fantastic.

2021-07-06I cant say enough about these guys. I have bought a hot tub, a new pool liner, had them open and close my pool, multiple services - and they are always awesome to work with. They are responsive, on-time, knowledgeable, friendly, and just generally great to work with. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for pool service from something as simple as water testing, up to full service, go to these guys.

2020-07-28We have been very pleased with the service from North Eastern. From start to finish we absolutely love our in ground pool. We were given excellent guidance throughout the whole process. Craig was very helpful in all the decisions. We also really value their help maintaining the pool as well as hire them to open and close our pool each year. I highly recommend North Eastern for all your pool and spa needs!

2021-06-22Woke up to a dead pump on Father’s Day (Sunday). Sent a text to Andrea, who responded in less than a minute, suggesting that my problem was likely the capacitor. She suggested I run it to the store when it opened. Within minutes of arrival, a technician had my capacitor out of the pump, and a new one installed…tested and running. Thank you Northeastern for amazing customer service!

2020-07-28They installed our pool over 5 years ago and they have been great. We get all of our pool products from them and they have always taken great care of our needs. We have even had some user issues that they have helped resolve. I wouldnt get a pool or chemicals from anyone else in the Rochester area.
