North Shore University Hospital Heliport in Manhasset
Went to see my friend in the Cohen section of the hospital never saw such disorganization in my life from pulling in the circle no person available for valet, ok I can park my own car soI walk to wait on line for over half an hour bottom line does Northwell really have to charge eight dollars for 15 minutes short of two hour visit which I wasted waiting on line. Horrible experience after a 55 minute drive. Come on Northwell you killed my whole afternoon and I paid to be torchered.
Very nice hospital heliport. Call ahead. Reservations are required.A roomy 64 ft by 64 ft asphalt pad without any nearby obstructions that might interfere with helicopter rotor blades. Located at an elevation of 222.0 feet above sea level, it affords sweeping views of the surrounding hospital buildings and parking garage. If you want a nicer view, stay airborne. The large painted letter H, large red and white medical cross and three 1000W lights are visible from the air but only in VFR conditions. In order to use the pad, you must be licensed for rotary wing aircraft, have an air-ambulance helicopter, and be medevacing a patient to the hospital. Room for only one chopper at a time.

2021-06-18The Drs were all excellent and very attentive. They took time to explain and listen. Nursing staff was good but could use some improvement. My father was left unwashed for 3 days.

2020-12-16Northshore Hospital is one of the best hospitals on Long Island. I live in queens and will only go there. They treat you with such wonderful care from the doctors to the nurses to the folks that bring you food. Even the staff that cleans the room are all so friendly. I was just there to have a Kidney stone removed and Im already home. I highly recommend this hospital

2020-02-18Excellent experience delivering my baby here. Everyone was truly amazing, from the delivering doctor, Dr Elizabeth Schmidt, to the admitting staff, nurses, and nurse assistants. The food was not bad at all, but arrived cold most times Patient rooms are private and excellent. I was a bit worried as my previous births were at Cornell however, this experience was much better due to rooms being private (no extra charge) and the staff being much nicer.

2021-07-21North Shore University. Hospital staff are friendly, knowledgeable and care about the patients who enter the hospital. My experience was with Pre Surgical Testing. I like how they cared for my father, who is elderly. Everyone from the the person who did the pre surgical questions at the admissions to all the nurses who supported my father through the pre-surgical testing were kind and very professional. My father was seen as a human being and they treated him as such. Each person that approached my father identified themselves and their title and how they would be providing him assistance through the process. At one point, there were as many as 3 people in the room at once, however, they were respectful of each other and coordinated my fathers care so well, that at no time did anyone persons presence feel overwhelming. Three nurses assisted with the pre-surgical testing. One who completed the overall medical history and exam, one who gave patient instructions on the days leading up to and the day of surgery and one who did bloodwork. Each one respectful, courteous and knowledgeable. The testing room was clean, organized, as well as, the space allowed for the patient to have additional support in the room if needed. When a patient arrives at pre-surgical testing its safe to assume that they are preparing for surgery or a medical procedure. The Care and Concern given at North Shore University Hospital Pre Surgical Testing helps to ease some of the fears that a patient may have prior to going through a medical procedure or surgery.
