The North Star Art Gallery is a wonderful gallery in Ithaca in the Finger Lake region of New York. It was a beautiful ride from Lake Cayuga to the gallery. The gallery space is attached to a beautiful Victorian home. Brian Keelers paintings are a study in light and color. I have been to galleries in the Scranton area that showcased his work but this gallery was really something to see. There were so many paintings - we could have spent an entire day! Brian & Linda were great hosts who not only gave us the gallery tour but also showed us around their amazing Victorian home. So many beautiful design details around every corner and of course a lot of amazing art. We especially loved the cupola! A must see gallery if you are in the Ithaca area.

The North Star Art Gallery with Linda and Brian is a DoNT MISS experience in the Finger Lakes! World class art (and I’ve seen a lot if it) and a gorgeous drive. Make a day of it with lunch at CTB or drive out to the cafe in Brooktondale.

I went with three friends to the reception for Brian Keelers December 2017 exhibit at the North Star Art Gallery, At Home in Ithaca and Italy. My trek to the gallery was in part inspired by the lure of Brian and Lindas amazing swing dancing as a couple, which Id beheld the Wednesday night prior at Lot 10s swing dance night with Djug Django.The showing was lovely. The artwork was paired with a house concert given by Kurt Lichtmann, himself a master partner dancer, who sang Italian love songs (O Sole Mio, et al). It was my first time seeing the art gallery, which I hear from Linda is new to the Art Trail. The house was very cool: the piano was an original Chickering, and the view from the cupola was fantastic. It was neat to see a lot of Keelers material as well as detailed drawings in the attic.One of my favorite paintings is of the card players above the Chickering. I believe it is fashioned after a Cézanne!

I spent several hours marvelling at the paintings at North Star. Brian Keelers works show the images of the area that you want to hold in your memory forever - soft fall evenings, Cayuga lake, rowers on the inlet, images of downtown. If you love the Ithaca area, this is a must see gallery.

I highly recommend this charming new art gallery in a stunning bucolic setting. It’s worth the 4 mile drive east of downtown ithaca to see the phenomenal landscapes of artist Brian Keeler and the amazing home that houses the gallery! The owners are warm and welcoming, off street parking, easy to find!

Located in a beautiful old building 10 minutes from Ithaca, this gallery is chock full of wonderful paintings and other art. Very welcoming.

Beautifully chosen works. The focal artist, Brian Keeler, is certainly a master artist, a genius even. Gorgeous location. Congenial hostess.
