Untrustworthy and unprofessional. Mistake number 1, I booked a move through a broker which in turn landed me with this company and no other options due to a restrictive timeline. Thankfully my belongings all made it to were they were going, but I was charged 60% more than my estimate from the broker (despite having no change of items being moved from my estimate). Mistake number 2 was not getting the drivers promised to get weight tickets (required for filing military move expenses) in writing. He later attempted to charge me $85 for fraudulent weight tickets which were clearly not for my belongings, and when attempting to resolve the issue with the business owner he continually argued that they do not ship by weight and accused me of attempting to fraud the government. Ive already filed a BBB and FMCSA complaint, but want to ensure that anyone considering this company (or using any broker) knows the risk theyre taking. And one more reason to not trust this company, in order to attempt to confuse their unhappy customers, they also ship under the business names Nautilus Capital Management LLC and On Point Moving. I thought maybe I just had bad luck or caught this business at a bad time, but looking at all the negative reviews and experiences, its pretty clear that this company has made a habit of taking advantage of those in unfortunate circumstances.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!Word to the wise... take your time when looking for a mover and RESEARCH CAREFULLY & THOROUGHLY! I wish someone had warned me, so I hope to at least warn someone else.I found this company on Craigs list under local South Jersey Movers.Michel Boston is who I dealt with. After 2 calls to him I felt assured that his company would completely move me for what he estimated to be approximately $400. This included 2 hours 3 men would need to make the move and a small fuel surcharge because we were only going 3.5 miles. I specifically asked if there were any additional charges and was told no. He took my credit card for a $100 deposit. The afternoon before my move I received an email from Michael with a first estimateLabor charge: $350.00 (02:00 X $175.00)Travel time charge: $175.00 (01:00 X $175.00)Fuel Surcharge: $52.50ESTIMATED TOTAL RELOCATION COST IS: $577.50This was more than originally quoted but then again quotes are only estimates. However I did email Michael about the deposit I gave him that is not on the estimate and Travel Charge he neglected to mention in our 2 calls and previous email. His reply is below:When we spoke on the phone I told you the deposit would be reflected in the contract when the driver comes to your home.None of these charges are new. These are the basic charges it takes to do a normal household goods relocation. If someone told you that they were going to do your job for $300 they are lying to you.We are not going to lie to you too get you on the schedule. If you want your move done correctly by a license and insured company this is what it is.Not going to lie to me to get me on the schedule??? This was less than 24 hours before they were scheduled to begin the move on the last Saturday of July... possibly the busiest day of the year for a mover. Like I really had a choice to secure another mover at this point in the game. They arrived 1-1/2 hours late with no courtesy call, and proceeded to explain to me that their travel time was 4 hours (not he 1 on the estimate) because these sub-contractors came from New York. (not really local South Jersey). After he reviewed all the additional charges that would be necessary and 5 hours that this move would take (not 2 as quoted) my $400 move quickly turned into more than $1600!The guys had already loaded a bit into the truck before we decided this was just absolutely ludicrous and told them to stop. They called Michael a couple of times before we agreed to a flat $1000 for the complete move. Still more than double what was expected.

Moving is stressful to begin with but involving Northeastern Van Lines made it worse. Long story short .Gave me an estimated cost of $550. I told Mike where I was moving from and moving to. Told him the furniture, items and roughly how many boxes were being moved. I expressed my concern of the price at the end being changed. He reassured me that the price quote he gave me would basically be it. Day of the move .The price Mike quoted me wasnt on the paper I was signing. It said $687 and when I said something about that price not being told to me, the head mover said well after looking around and the distance, this is more of a $1500 job. I was caught off guard and didnt know what to say or do. At that point, the other 2 amatuer movers and I say that because the 1 kid carrying my boxes nearly dropped them because he wasnt paying attention, started loading a few of my boxes. I then made the decision to just cancel the job because this was $1000 more than anticipated. Now, I understand the driver wanted to be reimbursed for his gas and tolls which was $54 but I only had $25 on me to give him. When I told him I didnt have the full $54 he then decided he would hold my boxes hostage until I gave him the money. Things got heated with my husband and oldest son. It got very uncomfortable and I just wanted to get my boxes and have him go before things got worse. I gave him the $25 I had, he gave me my boxes, and they left. Im writing this review being completely honest. The owner will probably have some smart-aleck rebuttal for it but I dont care. When I called other moving companies they did quote me 1500 to $1,600 but at least they told me that from the beginning. I felt I was baited in to getting them to move my furniture and maybe they thought they would corner me and I would be forced to use them. Im happy to report that I was able to secure a moving truck for this Saturday and anyone I have told this horrible experience to has volunteered to come help us move. Everyday Joes like us sick and tired of being ambushed. Hard-working people just trying to get by and do what they got to do being taken advantage of. Nice try but it didnt happen to us. You could take this review seriously or you could chance it and use them and if you do I hope your experience is better than then ours.I just read your response MIKE!! No, you are the low life bottom feeder preying on people. Also, youre the liar because NO ONE attacked your workers. Unless you considering yelling being attacked but when people are telling me that you wont give me my boxes then yea, my HUSBAND got loud. Also, remind your workers that they shouldnt beg the customer for a cigarette. Very tacky. If people choose your company, Im sure, they will have the same experience. What I should have done was looked on Yelp before choosing you because MANY people are saying the same exact thing. Good luck buddy because karma is gonna get you for the scam youre running. You are a straight up BOTTOM FEEDER!

The packers are often thieves! Do not..do NOT use this company! When packing up our deceased mother’s household in Liverpool, NY......entire abundance of family heirlooms were stolen. Stolen from a dead woman ! Numerous sterling silver and mother of pearl, bone and antler serving pieces. Most sterling items were custom made and had an initial of a family member ..another generation, on handles, dating back into the mid 1800’s. They will never be passed onto my children, or my brothers children, or grandchildren etc ever again...,All because a guy ( or guys) thatwere packing up the house to ship to s.calif saw monetary value Andi instead of packing and itemizing ....slipped those treasured pieces out of mom’s house and into their own car.. with the time in shipping fron northeast to southwest....the theft wasn’t discovered for several weeks and police saidtoo late to claim.. SHAME!! Stolen from a dead woman! Rot in hell Northeastern!

They are a scam! They take your deposit and then do not show up. They underbid jobs just to get you under contract, then do not live up to the deal. They didnt show up on moving day!!!Ipaid $100 deposit in May to reserve a moving service. My move date was June 27, 2016. i got a confirmation email and everything was correct. I even emailed and called to confirm a week before . Northeastern van lines did not show up on the day of my move. When I attempted to call, I got the reason that someone messed up and missed booked me. I asked for a refund. I was quite upset, as I had everything ready to move. Mr. Michael Boston hung up on me 2 times on the phone. All he could do was say he was sorry, and that they shouldnt have booked a move for so cheap I requested a refund. He told me I should have it in a few days, refunded to my card.. I was fine with that, and booked another company to come out to move me the same day. After a week, I never recieved the $100 refund, I emailed Mr. Boston and left him a voicemail, as well as the partner, Liz. No response from them. I also left them another voicemail and email on 7/12. Yelp has a ton of bad reviews for these scammers. Do not use them! Terrible customer service.
