The parking lot looks like its been through WWIII. Ive been going to Northgate Liquors for nearly 20 years, and STILL they havent fixed their automatic door. With all the money theyve made you would think they would return some kindness to their customers whove kept them going.
This has 2 of my favorite stores there
90% empty...wasted space.....perfect spot for a place like Chucksters...mini golf, batting cages, skateboarding, roller skating, pool, waterslides..concerts in summer....tubing, ice skating, hockey etc. In winter. If I had 5 million, Id do it!!
This poor parking plaza has been looking rough for 30 or 40 years now and the pandemic closing several of what stores remaining hasnt helped.This would actually be the perfect place for something like a Target to move into when you consider how the closest Target, Best Buy, and other such stores are in Vestal and folks from surrounding towns and counties would probably flock to it.
Super fun huge plenty to keep busy with
It was nice i only went to Walgreens in plaza and they are awesome and very clean inside store. The rest of the plaza looks halfway abanden. Some buisnesses there and alot of empty space through out plaza. The whole plaza exterrior really looks run down and a eye sore. Needs to be cleaned up and repaired and signs put up for walgreens and the few businesses in plaza
When I was growing up back in the 1970s and 1980s, this was the place to go in Nimmonsburg. Unfortunately, time and changes in shopping patterns has done this place in. At one time this plaza had a department store (Barkers/ Ames) and a grocery store (Loblaws/ Grand Union/ Giant), but all that remains are Grande Pizza, a liquor store, a few specialty shops, and a Touch of Texas concert venue. Theyd be better off mowing it over and replacing it with a Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop at this point.
Havent been there in a while but the last time I was there and so much fun they had great food and awesome band and pretty cool drinks prices were kind of expensive but its worth it when you dont go out too much
I always get what I went there for quickly and without hassle. The only setback here is the many potholes in the parking lot. Careful, Prius owners...some may swallow your whole car.😉
I love the food here, Im just not big on their no glove pizza making. After I grabbed a slice I watched a worker handle money, cough into their hand and go onto making a pizza. Never even looked at the sink to wash up. Kinda made me lose my appetite
Off the beaten path, but there are great stores there and none are ever overcrowded!! I always receive great customer service no matter which place I end up shopping at! Very stress free area.
Its the cheapest venue in the area to have a party. They have descent food. Their chicken wings are very good. Kevin a owner is very good to work with. I highly recommend for a party or function.
View was okay. Decent place to smoke crack. Would have been better with a few more shopping carts strewn about.
There isnt a lot left in this plaza. Grandes is the highlight. A nice little Italian place with great pizza and very good food. There is a liquor store, but if youre looking for anything other than a very basic selection of wine, go elsewhere. The Chinese restaurant in the plaza is good in a pinch, but if you go in the winter you may want to order ahead or wait for it in your car, the place never had heat on. Seriously, no heat, high 30s, low 40s at best, without the heat from the kitchen it would probably be even colder.
Its a small plaza but has some good stores and its easy to get in and out of. Creature Comforts is one I stop at a lot. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I think their prices are very reasonable. There is Label Shopper, Pack N Mail, and Northgate Vacuum, plus others.
Actually I was visiting the Dennys located in front of the plaza. After losing the Dennys in Painted Post & Horseheads NY you cant pass up any opportunity to visit any open local restaurants.
I went to Pack & Mail to send some important papers back to my boss, and they did a great job for me. Put papers into 2 different .pdfs and send me a copy as well as my boss.Ill come back here again.
I dont recommend great wall Chinese restaurant. I phoned in a takeout order, waited 15 minutes, and drove to the restaurant. The man inside didnt start cooking until after I arrived, and there were no other orders in progress. Food was OK. Cheap. the man who was working knew very little English and gave me egg rolls with pork in them instead of vegetable rolls. He also miscalculated my total and had me come up to the counter and give him $10 more than Id already paid, with no explanation.
Large venue. Good variety of live entertainment. Good food. Lively atmosphere. Love the option for dance classes... Wednesday line dancing, and Thursday salsa dancing!!! Cant wait to give that a try.
I have a space at the flea market... A great bunch of vendors.. Deals to be had..
Never seen it open. Due to Covid I think its closed for good?
I visited the ATM for visions and looked the ease but didnt like how when you head to process everything you dont get the card back until the end. I have forgotten it once and had to get a new card due to the fact I was in a rush but I will say Visions FCU is a great Bank too go through
Most big stores have left, so plaza is mostly empty. Magic City has decent bands that were big in their days. Northgate Liquors is a great place to buy your spirits.
Visited Creature Comforts to get bunny food.ove to look at all of their animals there. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it for all pet lovers.
1980-2000 Was a Nice Shopping plaza. Now a ghosts town . Still love the Label Shopper for reasonable clothes in all sizes an all seasons. Burger King and Grandes still Holding Strong for great food . And Rite-Aid still front and center of it all . Still a bank, gas station , and of course Good old Dennys thats open 24/7. No Kmart , No Bullshead, No Champions , No Hallmark ,or Bookstore, or Giant ,or Hair and Nail Salon . And The worst of all No More Go-kart track . What The What ?????
Decent place to get what you need and be on your way. Dont stay too long.
They had a cute pet store we like to take our pup to. She likes it and the staff are very nice and helpful. Its a small local business and I like that.
Went to Dennys and had a great breakfast with brother and sister very friendly and attentive waitress always quick with refills without asking free parking
This is a pathetic sad dead Shopping Center. It used to have a ton of stuff to do. Really the only two things we do in here anymore are Creature Comforts pet store... And Grande Pizzeria. Grande is possibly is the best Italian food and New York style pizza in the Binghamton area. They have an extensive Italian menu with everything from pasta the lasagna to steaks to Fish and Chicken. Great desserts. Great subs and a great salad bar also. Thin crust New York style pizza is the best though.
Got meds at Walgreens, pizza at Grandes that was as good as always.Also, some liquor at Northgate Liquor.Great one stop shop.

There is,2 banks in the plaza,also a Dennys,pet store,drug store, Touch of Texass,and some other shops in the North Gate Plaza, clothing shop and Grandes Pizza Place. All are nice places to Go to.
Creature comforts is an awesome pet supply store! The staff are great & super knowledgeable! You wont go wrong here.
Small little Queen Plaza on Upper Front Street in Binghamton has a Rite Aid project access theres a bank theres a clothing store several fast food options right there so all-in-all just a nice general area to go quickly to
Checked out the Mile High store.
Stopped at dennys for a quick bite, place was empty so the privacy was kinda nice, service was good, food was good, but staff were slacking off a bit. I will more than likely return.
Pet store is amazing
The plaza has an M&T bank, Dennys, burger king, rite aid, a pet store, and a pack and mail. Oh yeah, and a new York style pizza shop.
Creature Comforts is in the plaza, our preferred spot to get pet supplies. Theres also a decent pizza shop. Lots of vacancies.
Dying plaza. It was built too far away from the road and newer businesses were built in front, obstructing the view of plaza tenants. Or maybe the plaza owner is impossible. Im not sure, but the main flagship store has been empty for decades, and the stores that are there have either been there forever or come and go every few weeks. Sad, really. It used to be a major shopping plaza.
Beautiful piece of Real Estate. Really an amazing place to go just to hang out or have a good time. Great food vendors as well.
This place is barren.. most of it is taken up by new unsold cars that a dealer parks here just because. I just come up here sometimes to skate or get vacuum bags. But it could use a major remodel. And the parking lot could use some repairs.

Several storefronts are closed and the plaza is looking rundown. Needs an anchor store desperately.
Most of the businesses in this mall are closed and have been for several years. There is a good Italian restaurant there and a nice clothing store and a drug store but not much else.
Sadly there isnt much in the plaza but the ones holding on are worth a visit

Went to Grande Italian restaurant. Excellent Rigatoni and Chicken parm! Shrimp cocktail was great!
Convenient place to shop with ample parking including handicapped parking. Stores and Shops are well stocked with competitive pricing.

The Grande Pizzaria Restaurant is the main attraction for me. Food is very good and the staff are nice and attentive.

Without putting down the stores that are hanging-on at the Northgate Plaza, the place is dying. You only go there to visit one of the stores that are there but not to browse or shop new places.
Pretty good plaza, needs a retail outlet though. Fast food, pharmacy, liquor store and more.

A plaza that used to have a lot of stores. Now only has a few left in it. Just like the Oakdale Mall. Stuck in the armpit of NY, where the governor doesnt care cause its not NYC!!

2022-05-15Its a bit rundown even though its a prime location. Grandes, the label shop, and Northgate liquor are the only reasons to go there. I gave it 5 stars because grandes has the best pizza and Northgate liquor has the best selection of 375ml bottles. While Im getting pizza I see a ton of women coming out of the label shop. I only assume its popular.
