I recently purchased a new vehicle from Northtown Hyundai. I was thoroughly impressed what they had to offer. The sales guy I worked with, John, was excellent. I appreciated the fact he was not pushy. He was able to answer all of my questions. I am considering returning to replace my other family vehicle.
I had called this shop inquiring about availability of a Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid prior to the end of August (2.5 months out). The person taking the call had confirmed that there were some available as early as the end of June and I set up an appointment for the very next day. However, I was called back an hour later by the Sales manager who stated that the Hybrid was NOT in fact available for another 4-8 months.I am appreciative of the sales manager getting back to me before the appointment, but still very frustrating when a business is not organized enough to provide accurate and up-to-date information on availability of their product from the start. As a customer, I dont care if the Sales manager gets different information than the Sales Rep (on the phone) - its all one business from my point of view, and they should be able to provide accurate information from the start. Especially in regards to something as simple as availability of a product.
I purchased my car here (very smooth process! Thanks Gordon!) and purchased their tire rotation & oil change package for Hyundai vehicles. I scheduled a rotation & oil change. I was very thankful that they told me that I didn’t need the rotation yet, instead of just doing it & wasting part of the package. I was in & out in a very timely fashion. Very pleased with Northtown Hyundai.
After looking online at multiple used Jeep Grand Cherokees within a hundred miles or so, and calling dealers about a couple of them, I called Northtown Hyundai with some questions before driving 90 miles to check one out. From the first phone contact (a young woman named Nikki I believe, who answered all of my questions very knowledgeably and efficiently), the experience and vehicle turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. The salesman Gordon McCombs was excellent to deal with—extremely well-informed and accommodating—and I was happy to make the purchase from Northtown. My compliments.
My husband did the actual drop off of our car, but I gather it was quite pleasant. I could see from my vantage point sitting in our other car, that they politely opened the overhead door and invited him to drive in, despite the fact that they were closing for the day. All we needed was an inspection. That’s almost all we got, except for a new protective cover for the box on our charging cable, and wonderfully friendly service checking the car back out this morning!
What a wonderful experience I had with Northtown Hyundai….From the manager to the sales and leasing consultant, Bob Hinckley, they listened to my needs and kept the cost within my budget! When I picked up the car the sales representative spent all the time I needed patiently explaining how to operate all the new bells and whistles! What more could I ask for! I could not be happier with the service I received from Northtown Hyundai!!
I had the most amazing experience. I met with Mike Rees. He made me feel comfortable never pressured. Always explained everything from beginning to end and always made time for me, I leased 2022 Tucson and love it, I would recommend Northtown to all my friends and family. Thank you !
I would rate the salesman, Kevin, a 10/10. It was a very good experience. Its hard to pay retail price for a car nowadays, but given covid and inflation, it is to be expected. There was no price gouging. The dealership was not charging more than the retail price. The entire experience would have been rated a five out of five, except I was asked to wait for the manager to talk to me about the technology Electronics in the car. After close to a half an hour he came over and put his best used car salesman high-pressure tactics to get me to spend two thousand six hundred more dollars to get an extended warranty for the electronic computer controlled items like the dashboard itself. It was a very uncomfortable experience as he would not take no for an answer. It was very threatening that the car WILL definitely break without this warranty he was proposing which would cover the car from the sixth year to the 10th year. He showed me no paperwork of what it included and only told me it includes everything. He said the company that does the extended warranties has now gone Green, paperless, so theres no way to look anything up with a QR code until after its paid for. I refused it and complained to the salesman that the manager could not have been more offensive if he tried. He did call me to apologize (after the salesman, Kevin, mentioned to the manager that I told him about my distaste for the sales pitch) which was right of him, but way too little and way too late. It was just a miserable overall experience. Again the salesman Kevin was wonderful , and the technology manager was absolutely horrible, claws digging as quickly as they could for that $2,600. I asked if I could add it on in a week, and he said that the following day at 2 pm when I picked up the car would be my last chance to get it.It was extremely offensive that there was no contract and no paper to show what it covered and what the deductible would be and if it was a one-year payment or a one-time payment. It was just thrown out there,, in effect, to give us another $2,600 or your car will break and youll be sorry then .Now this may be something that some people would like, or some people may feel pressured into, which is what the manager wanted me to feel, but with Hyundais long warranty, I did not feel I would own the car long enough to ever see a return on that money spent. My only recommendation is that when the salesman tells you that the technology Electronics manager will be paying you a visit , sit still, refuse it entirely and save yourself an hour of car dealership experience uncomfortableness. This, and only this, which is certainly not the salesmans fault, but this fact that after the contract was signed to buythe car and the deposit was paid, the manager would come over and try to upsell 10% additional of the purchase price of the car and use scare tactics about how the electronic parts are all Chinese made and they will fail, I can bet on it. This is why I absolutely hate going to car dealerships.
I had the worst the experience at this dealership.The business manager tried to force me to have an extended warranty which I never wanted.He instead got mad at me when I said no.When I picked up my genesis g80, just after a day the rear glass cover got broken on its own.Then after 2 days again, I got a flat tire. When I called them about it,they simply responded to me that I never wanted an extended warranty. I feel they did something to the car before I picked it up.This is inconceivable.
I had a bad experience. Mike Rees was great, but the pick up experience was awful. I had a 6:15 appointment, but waited over 2 1/2 hours to sign the paperwork for the car. It was about 9:00 PM before I was able to drive the car off the lot.Mike was very apologetic, but this did not leave a good impression. This is my 4th car from Northtown and this was my worst experience by far.
Terrible experience. Only leaving 1 star because the Sales guys / buying process was seamless. It wasnt until things started going wrong with my vehicle that I started to encounter issues when dealing with the service / parts department. I have been going through nonsense for 3 months. They say parts are in stock, then I show up for service to be told the parts arent available. I also escalated this issue to the service manager, EJ, who did absolutely nothing to help me. As a paying customer, I should not have to go through this to have my vehicle serviced. Individual dealerships should be held accountable for ruining the Hyundai reputation. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to family or friends. I have also filed a formal complaint to the Hyundai Corporate office.Furthermore, I went to another Hyundai Dealership yesterday and had my vehicle fixed in 20 minutes. Something Northtown couldnt accomplish in 3 months.
I would not recommend anyone buy a Hyundai vehicle from my personal experience. My vehicle was impacted by their recalled engines and stopped working while I was driving it- obviously a very dangerous situation. To make matters worse, my car has been at the dealership for weeks after they just forgot I made a service appointment for it in February and didnt address it even though I called to remind them my car had been transported to their lot in advance. Im now being told it will take several more weeks for the engine to be replaced. I have been denied a loaner vehicle on multiple occasions despite being saddled with the cost of a rental for weeks longer than necessary because the dealership neglected my vehicle. The dealership continues to direct me to Hyundai Customer Service for complaints and assistance -but Hyundai is unresponsive and often points the finger back at the dealership. I would not say that this is a company or dealership that concerns itself overly much with your safety, wellbeing, or financial stability.
I just bought my second hyundai and had a great experience! Dealerships can be very rude and biased against women but I didnt get that vibe from anyone there (unlike other places I test drove at). Paul Tronolone answered all my questions day or night and on his day off, was very straight forward with no bs, and very enjoyable to work with! Thank you for making it an easy process!
I had a excellent experience dealing with Northtown Hyundai and my salesman Bob Hinckley. I am now driving a beautiful 2022 Tucson and just love it, gorgeous SUV and great safety features, which Bob did a great job in going over with me before leaving the dealership. I would recommend Northtown Hyundai to my family and friends when looking for a new vehicle.
Called to get an appt for my vehicle which I had for 1 1/2 years because of electrical issues (?) Got woken up by the car alarm at 3:48am, could not turn it off with fob key. Had to unlock door, open door, close door then relock it. Went inside and watched from upstairs and alarm went off again. Did this 4 times for no apparent reason. This morning get into car and drove forward and collision warning starting beeping loud and quick and will NOT shut off. I went a whole .03 miles and reparked car since was not driving with the annoying beeping. Found out how to shut off front collision warning and just went to gas station. I feel very unsafe driving without the front collision activated but have no choice since vehicle can not be serviced for 3 weeks from now. Their email back to me confirming appt said this........ Car Alarm And Horn Is Going. Collision Warning Bumper Beep Is Coming On When There Is Not A Car Nearby...why dont they put what I said-front collision warning beeping stays on and will not go off and car alarm went off by itself. I had no problem with service last time I went in, this time I pray whatever electrical is wrong with my car does not get worse. Signed Marcy W

Very welcoming and family like energy and the members went out of their way to make sure I had the best deal! Will recommend this place to anyone in need of a vehicle! Worked with a salesman name A Andrew great guy knew a lot about the SUV I was looking to buy he help out as much as he could to get me a great deal would go back.Only thing I say is have some candy donuts something out for the customers thats waiting to get they vehicles fixed not just coffee not everyone likes coffee. Didnt like how I went in to get breaks done and they tried to get me to get my Rotors done also and when I told them I didnt want my rotors done due to them still being good they told me they wont do my breaks unless I did my rotors also and I explained to them my rotors was still in great shape and didnt need to be done the guy got mad about it and said they wont do the work then.
Sales guy couldnt make it to delivery, not his fault, but forgot to get insurance cards. Tyler and I were able to get them thru after hours website but it was a pita. Car had 45 more miles on than when we test drove and whats stated on sales docs. That was a bit weird.Great job to Tyler for staying late to get me the car.
Jack Cohen is an amazing car salesman! He is so professional and completely honest about what you are trying to get into when it comes to buying or leasing a car. He helped me find the perfect car for me, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Not only was he helpful in person, but he would call and even text with me to give me updates about when the car was coming in as well as other things so that when it came time to go get the car everything was ready for me. I would recommend him and this dealership to anyone!
I went in with an idea of what I wanted and John Klein really helped me find the perfect car for my growing family! We had one hour long session to figure out what I wanted, my car was at the dealership within a week, and I had another hour long session to pick it up. He got my new plates for me, got everything transferred over with my insurance company, and got me a great trade in on my old car. Definitely would recommend.
I was very pleased with how easy Northtown Hyundai and Denis, specifically, made this process! I came in on a Tuesday to test drive a Tucson. We talked about pricing and what I wanted for convenience packages etc, and told him we would wait a day and let him know. We got a good deal on a brand new Tucson that wasnt even on the lot yet and drove it home 3 days later. We did most of the legwork over the phone via text and calls, which shortened my time at the dealership and made us very happy. My sister and I both worked with Denis, bought the same car and drove them both home the same day! Great job, you guys! Kudos to your streamlined process! Thank you for the great new car, I love it!

Growing up my grandfather owned a Ford dealership and my dad was a salesman or service manager for years. I have an idea what it takes to make a living. My salesman Jack was right on it, he was personable, knowledgeable, and kept my purchase moving along.I could tell he was smiling and happy even through his mask. I appreciated his wearing that also, as I interact with my 89 year old mother.When it came time to pick up my Tucson, he throughly explained the bells and whistles, as well as their uses and benefits. Reminding me too of the great warranty and road side assistance that hopefully I’ll never need.I would recommend Jack and Northtown to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Customer service is terrible. Would not recommend. My car was there for 4 months!! and the whole duration NONE of their employees came in contact to update me about my car, I had to be the one constantly being in contact. They told false information about when my car would be ready and pushed back the date multiple occasions.
First time doing business with Northtown. Long story short, I had over $7,000 of negative equity coming in. Was looking to lease an electric vehicle. I was greeted immediately by my salesman. He was never pushy . Ended up getting me into the car I wanted. The process was quick and painless . Will definitely be a repeat customer!!
The techs at Northtown Hyundai know their stuff and their repairs are first rate. For example, we had a miscellaneous electrical issue with the car. They figured it out, called for a rental car (under warranty) and got it fixed.I do have an issue with their service, however.Now matter what you are in for, they cant seem to take less than 24 hours to get your car back to you. Case in point. I had 4 tires and an alignment. That should take no more than 90 minutes at a Goodyear place. It took almost 24 hours. I make appointments on Friday after work. Their service is open until 9pm. If my appointment is at 6 on a Friday, why does it take until Saturday afternoon to put 4 tires on? I always make my appointments on Friday afternoon and I never get the car back.
Initially went in to lease a new Genesis and the staff worked with me to get where I would be comfortable and never put any pressure on me. Wanted some time to think about it, received one follow up call from salesman Joe G. to see if I had anymore questions and that he was there if I did. I ended up going back in a week later and ended up purchasing a new Genesis rather than leasing because the sales team made me feel comfortable. Was never pressured by anyone and they made the whole transaction extremely smooth.UPDATE: A little over a week after purchasing my new vehicle, my salesman called me to see how everything is going and to tell me not to hesitate to contact him or Northtown if I have any issues or concerns. I have never received this type of service when purchasing a new vehicle and it made me feel even more comfortable with them and a valued part of their company.
3 years later: we just went back to trade in our Sonata lease. Working with Andrew again was awesome! Everything went smooth and was straightforward. Love the consistency and great treatment at Northtown Hyundai 👍Giving 4 stars only because at one point we did feel the stereotypical sales push, however overall it was a great experience. Andrew was easy to work with, even helping hold our baby when it was all getting a bit much for him. I feel like we got an amazing deal and we love our new Sonata Hybrid!
We had a great experience at Northtown Hyundai. Our salesman, Jeremy, was exceptional. We went in knowing pretty much exactly what we wanted and had done our research on the website as far as options available and leasing specials. Our leases were ending on the 2 Hyundais that we had and we wanted to replace them with 2 more. First night we went in and walked out an hour later with the deal all done. We went back 2 nights later and again within an hour had our paperwork all set and drove away in our new cars. Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous. I didnt feel the usual stress of buying cars. We absolutely will be going back when we have to lease again in 3 years!
I recently bought a 2022 Hyundai Tucson at Northtown. This was the first time I had ever purchased a vehicle from Northtown, and I was very impressed with their level of customer service. Everyone I dealt with was extremely patient and thorough. The salesperson who helped me, Andrew, took the time to wait on hold with my former leasing and insurance companies in order to get my information transferred. He also took the time to explain the details of my new vehicle and the breakdown of the payment. He and his manager worked with me on a payment I could afford on the vehicle I wanted. They had a product specialist go over all the features in my new Tucson before I drove it off the lot, and he was even nice enough to wipe the raindrops off my door that had been open while he was talking. Its those little things that make a difference to me, and that is why I will continue to choose Northtown and recommend them to my friends and family.
THEY WERE AWESOME. My parents went there for a SEL premium palisade but they didnt have the correct stuff we wanted. So they offered us a red palisade calligraphy that I wanted my parents to get but they didnt like the color. We left and regretted not taking the deal and got screwed over by West Herr later that day. North town Hyundai was so kind and we respect that they did everything they did to lower the cost but unfortunately we couldnt take it at the time.
Great service , Bob Hinckley my sales associate was very professional and thorough. Gary the finance associate another professional , he got me a great rate with my bank! Vlad the manager was very responsive ! The Genesis G80 is an amazing car. I’m looking forward to my continued relationship with Northtown Hyundai Genesis !

Dan was a great salesman! This was the first new vehicle for us and he made sure we got what we wanted.Edited 3 years after purchase - needed new brakes to pass inspection. At the time of purchase, we upgraded our warranty to cover everything but the paint and tires (and Dans supervisor assured me it covered brakes, we had just had them replaced on our old car and I asked specifically) but guess who just paid for new brakes? I was advised that the information I was given was incorrect. I have only had my vehicle serviced by Northtown Hyundai, mainly because of this warranty... I will no longer be using Northtown for ANYTHING not covered by the warranty... Including the purchase of my next vehicle. I love my Hyundai but I dont do business with liars. I dont Karen out usually, but this is infuriating
I completed the whole transaction except for signing the documents over the phone and text message and it went very smoothly. And I feel I got a fair deal. Tyler was excellent to work with. I live in Rochester and chose to go to Buffalo because of the excellent response I received when inquiring about the Kona EV car I was looking at.
Had a wonderful experience at Northtown Genesis. No genesis dealerships in Rochester New York so we went to Buffalo to buy the genesis G 70. Our sales person Austin did a great job and was fun to talk to. No hassle at all easy to get a good lease. Great delivery. Couldn’t be happier.
My husband spoke with Jeremy Brant and gave some info of what we were looking for and Jeremy found us a vehicle and set up an appointment really quickly. Upon arrival said car was ready for test drive. As I wasn’t totally thrilled with the color, Jeremy then sat down with us, found something else and I was 100% excited! The buying experience is one of the best of my life. They did not force anything on me they were reasonable and we came to an agreement on a price. When I arrived at northtown, it took a whopping one hour to trade in my car, pick up my new one and drive home. John Klein was absolutely fantastic no nonsense and someone that I feel like Id go back to when Im looking for another car. Cant say enough about them, and Ive been through some doozy of negotiations for buying and leasing cars in my life, this location you dont have to worry about that. Thanks Northtown, love my new car!

My experiences were very positive. I’d been to many dealerships and found them to be frustrating. I probably shouldn’t have waited until the last minute, but I wasn’t looking forward to the negotiation process or sure if we were going to lease again. Moreover, I am particular of who I wanted to help me. If the person isn’t friendly & they make me feel as if they’re in a rush to be done with me; then I am out of there. I was ambivalent about going to Hyundai to get our second vehicle, but I was pleased with how well Denis took care of me with our Tucson, so I decided to visit Hyundai again. We settled on the Santa Fe because Denis listened to our concerns and found us the best vehicle available and to our liking. We’re relieved that this process is done! Thank you 😊.
The service and pricing I received from Northtown was second to none. Easy transaction and I got the vehicle and color I wanted at an affordable price. The year end discounts after Northtown are fabulous. Chris Troxel was my salesman and he helped me tremendously. I’ve bought three cars over the years from Northtown with the best experience. I just won’t go to another dealer as they are just looking for the sale not addressing the customers true needs.
Our sales person was very easy to deal with. In today’s world, it is very rare to find someone who is willing to listen to what is important to you. Phil took the time to explain all the features and benefits of structuring our purchase so it worked for us. Very happy with the vehicle and the salesperson and would recommend both.
Dealership sold me a lemon after 50k miles my car started to break down. Already went thru their dealership garage twice issue never fixed called again to make another appointment and have to wait another extended period of time since their booked up. Making this my 3rd time with the same issue Most likely due to their garbage cars they sell. Would not recommend. I’m most afraid because I am a father and use this vehicle to drive my daughter around. If my car breaks down in traffic again and we get hurt then they will be responsible. Protect your family and look elsewhere for cars
Terrible experience. Left a $500 deposit in April for a uses car that needed the title transferred. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks. 3 months later I bought a different car because I was still waiting. They never contacted me and when I contacted them they lied to me and gave me 2 different dates that it would be ready and then when they didnt contact me on those dates I called to be told it was not ready. When I eventually bought something else and told them I djdnt want it they said to come in and get my deposit which I left in cash. When I got there they said they couldnt give me cash it would have to go through accounting and they would mail it within 4 weeks. 6 weeks later I still did not have a check and went in AGAIN to be told that they had no record in accounting that they were supposed to send me a check. At time of this writing I STILL dont have my money and it is October. 6 months they have had my money and have made zero effort to get me a car or my money back. Will never reccomend or go here again.
Service was great! Paul was awesome to be tooken care of by. The wife and I had many questions and he had great responses that was very acceptable by the wife and I . Not often you get to laugh and drive off please. This is our second lease and we’re sure to want continue to do business in the future, thanks Paul!
From the moment i stepped intoNorthtown Hyundai i felt just the best vibes! I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Paul Tronolone and i wouldnt have had it any other way. With my purchase of the 2022 Hyundai Sonata Nline night being my first ever brand new car this was a huge deal to me. I showed up wanting an SUV and left with the Sonata and it was the best decision i could have made. Paul was so fun and full of energy and even came in on his day off so i could take my new car home sooner! Tyler smith is Hands-down the best car salesman I’ve worked with. One thing I can’t stand walking into a dealership is having to go back-and-forth constantly with the car dealer and play games. Tyler gave me exactly what I was looking for, Understood my budget and limits, Gave me honest feedback on different models and Options for cars and was genuine. I Highly recommend going to Tyler for purchasing a car.
My son has a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that he bought used from a private seller. About 1 month after he bought the car it stalled on him in the middle of an intersection and just before it stalled the engine oil light came on. He was able to restart the car so he could safely move it off of the road but was hearing an engine knock. He shut the car off and had it towed to Hyundai Northtown and asked that they look at the car to which they agreed. While waiting for service to check the car out we found out that there was a recall on that paticular model year engine which never turned up in the CarFax so we assumed that was the cause of the problem. He has now been without the car for 5 weeks because the dealership cant make a move without Hyundais permission. Never once was he offered a loaner car nor does anyone ever call him with progress reports. He has called Hyundai directly where he has gotten nothing but a complete run around. Today the dealership said they are waiting for a Hyundai technican to come out and run a test on the engine. REALLY??? Its like they are doing everything in their power to prove negligence on my sons part so they dont have to pay to fix an engine that was defective from the very beginning. This has been by far THE WORST service I have ever experienced from any car dealership and I have been driving for 48 years!
Purchasing our new 2022 Hyundai Tucson was a joy because our Sales Consultant Andrew Ayler was absolutely fantastic! He made our experience smooth, stress-free and fun! They were very helpful. I had issues with my bank not approving my loan after telling me they would. Northtowns staff reassured me that they would get me the loan with interest relatively close to my banks promise. They did. As a result Key Bank lost a customer and Northtown gained one for life. Amazing staff. Andrew and Pat were excellent to me.
We recently purchased a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate from Andrew Ayler at Northtown Hyundai. There is no amount of praise that can truly signify my overall satisfaction from working with Andrew. My husband and I have personally purchased over 15 new and used vehicles in the last 15 to 20 years as well as helped countless friends and family with their purchases. To say we are the go to car people in our group is not an understatement. I was also a customer service manager before I was injured in an accident so I expect a certain level of service and Andrew did not disappoint. In all my years of car buying I can honestly say I have never dealt with someone who listened to and met our expectations as Andrew did. He paid attention to the little details in what was otherwise a humorous banter conversation between my husband and I and successfully provided a car that met my expectations as far as ride and options and my husbands for year, mileage and price. To be able to give both spouses exactly what they wanted without either having to make consessions is no little feat, as any couple married for over 20 years can attest to. All I can say is in the over 20+ years of car buying experiences I have had, I have never walked away completely satisfied until now. Andrew more than fulfilled his duties as our sales person. I will happily recommend him to anyone that asks.

He is great to talk to, very knowledgeable and professional. My initial choice wouldve been a bit of a wait however with Gordons help I was able to find something much sooner! 2022-02-04We recently bought a 2022 Hyundai Tucson the salesman we dealt with was Dennis Kulev. Dennis was an amazing person to work with from start to finish, from just inquiring about a vehicle to closing the deal. The finance department worked hard to get us locked into a great rate with a local banking branch. Everyone we encountered at Northtown Hyundai was helpful and polite. We would highly recommend this dealership to everyone, after our great experience we will never go to another dealership.

Answered all my questions with patience and a smile made me comfortable as a women buying a car. (Most sales people don’t) I would recommend John to anyone interested in buying a Hyundai. 2022-07-09Unbelievably outstanding service. Made appointment in advance for my mothers car, came to service at exact time and didnt need to wait. After Jon inspect the car, he told us that we dont need to do anything because car was in good condition. He sent car for free wash and within reasonable time get back. If this was back in NJ we would end up do unnecessary maintenance anyway and pay extra money l. What a Service with big A+

2022-03-22Great experience! I ordered a Hyundai and was told it would likely take 4 to 6 months to arrive. It arrived in under 3 months!Denis, our salesman was wonderful to work with. He was fair, frank, polite, not pushy in any way. This is my first non-GM vehicle and I couldnt be happier. Ill be referring people in the market for a Hyundai right to northtown to see Denis.

2022-04-15I had the most wonderful experience with each person I encountered, from the person who checked my car in, the lady who set up my shuttle ride home and back the next day to pick up my car. The young man who waited on me the next day explained everything to me that was done. I was very pleased with the service and care Northown Hyundai afforded me that day. Will always bring my car back to these very capable people.

2022-05-28I really wanted to love this place because of the close proximity to my home.. but that was just not the case. They valued my car $4,000 less than anywhere else and tried sticking me with a smaller car AND higher payment. We ended up going with another dealership who was so accommodating and extremely friendly and got me in the exact same car northtown tried to for $200 less a month. I don’t recommend north town. Once they don’t see the major dollar signs hanging over their head, their attitudes change.
