Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care in other cities:
I was recovering from Covid and was able to obtain a Drs visit online the same day. I was very pleased with their service. However I was not satisfied that I didn’t obtain an antibiotic for my chest congestion. I was told to goto the hospital emergency room due to my chest pain. It was a pain from chest congestion, remnants of covid. It was ruled out that it wasn’t my heart there, and No blood clots. It took 5 hours due to the hospital being overrun due to Covid. Please try to prescribe wait and see antibiotics. Even though I’m fully vaccinated and didn’t need the hospital i could Still use the antibiotic. I still have some congestion today from covid.
I feel it is a fine office for when you need to see a doctor right away. They usually are very professional, courteous and see you very quickly. The doctors that I have had interactions with seem knowledgeable and helpful. I like that they see you quickly and at the same time you do not feel rushed. I was a little disturbed by the fact that the receptionist was wearing her mask around her neck. I feel that in a medical office all the staff should be wearing a mask appropriately.
Came here the previous day for Covid pcr tests. The lady at the desk said come tomorrow morning 8:00. We came 7:00 am and waited on line and as soon as we were next she goes I’m not taking any more walk in patients. Disgusting and rude behavior by the lady at the desk and no management whatsoever. Made us wait in line for 2 hours and then kicked us and a bunch of other people out when it was empty. If u can’t take us say it from the beginning, dont make us wait hours and hours when we could have went somewhere else. On top of that she made us wait outside in the freezing cold. Never coming here again
I have visited a few urgent cares in the last year with awful experiences, one of which was at another go health location on Staten Island where she screamed my results across the hall. Today I am so thankful for PAC Mariam Lozah. She was truly exceptional with a welcoming bedside manner. She checked my vitals and throat which I hate to say I’ve gone to an urgent care for sore throat and never even had my throat looked at or lymph nodes checked so the bar was low here but she reached my expectations and then some by being a truly professional and kind person. Thank you.
PA Eric Chen is incredible, he speaks both Cantonese and mandarin so i dont need to translate for my mom. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is new and clean. All the staff are very nice. Good service. Will definitely recommend to our friends and families.
Went there for a covid test for my son, got a time online, in and out fast, the place is clean and well organized. Asked some questions about my sons blood pressure, PA Eric Chen is very patient, friendly and professional! Excellent experience, thank you. Highly recommended.
Easy soon appt, good location. Very organized, professional, friendly, patient. Premises very clean. Very pleased with each staff person, thorough interview, check up and explanation. Thankful to have chosen this urgicare when I was ill. Highly recommend. I am a retired RN and can appreciated quality care.
We have used Nothwell several times before and been very happy with the service. Unfortunately this time was not the same, we questioned the Nurse or Tech not sure ( she gave the test). When I called insurance to clarify and went back in her response yelled from the back “ I am not going to deal with her” was extremely unprofessional. Might rethink using this location again. Such a shame since usually they are amazing. Have never seen her there before either.
At first this was my to go place. Never wait in line and staff is great!Financial aspect of it, not so much.My last and final visit I was asked to provide credit card , when I requested to opt out the front desk lady asked me to pay for the rapid test. She claimed that they have hard time with insurance covering it and once I pay for it Ill be able to file a claim with the insurance. I again requested for them to bill the insurance and whatever insurance decided to underwrite as deductible or copay Ill gladly pay. In response I was denied service. With a toddler in my arms running fever, I passed the credit card since I needed to know if its covid or not. She then asked me to sign the electronic pad claiming its for payment. Later I found out that $75 rapid test was billed as a copay and my credit card was stored ( based on the email Convenient Payment Agreement Activated.). Insurance will not reimburse me and I wont be able to file receipt with FSA since there is no EOB describing the service provided. My problem is not about the $75, I simply do not like being lied to. Hopefully you will find this useful and like me use another urgent care.
Fast and friendly. Their PA Stefanie was super nice. She processed my Covid test quickly and we were even able to wait for results. WE RETURNED 8/21/21 FOR COVID PCR TEST. Upon arriving, we were seen promptly by a very thorough and friendly RT named Wayne. He was very careful in collecting the nasal swab and we received our NEG results 2 days later.
Its not right that no one is allowed to sit in the waiting area. I was told to wait in my car. Thats fine...if I had a car. I had bad foot pain and I tried to ask if it would be ok to sit down, but was abruptly told in your car. Not even caring about my situation. I had to stand outside in pain in the heat and humidity for almost an hour. I understand that things are a bit different these days with covid, but I think its unacceptable that no one is allowed to sit in a waiting area at a medical facility. Not the friendliest staff there either. They give off the impression that youre bothering them or they really dont want to be there. Just a bad vibe overall.
I went there today to be tested for Covid as well as my two kids (8 & 2 years old). The staff was so helpful! My son has ASD and was crying, my daughter also crying because she was nervous about the test. The staff were great with trying to calm them down .... and myself lol. They were quick and efficient. Will go there again for any future needs. Thank you !
Both the doctor and the assistant were kind, polite, professional, and thorough. I was very pleased with the care I got. I was not rushed, and they both really listened to me. I would return there for sure, and would recommend this urgent care. I have been there in the past and always had very good care there for both my daughter and myself.
Front desk lady was very curt and acted as though you were bothering her by being there ,when I first walked in she was not at her desk but having a personal conversation in the back which could easily be heard from up front , when I said hello out loud ,her response was sign in on the tablet ,not hello good afternoon, nope just sign in. I had already signed in on line so was not sure what to do so waited patiently for her return to her desk but she was still too busy with her personal conversation which included some colorful language ,she did not return so I signed in online as other patients were waiting for tablet, well when she did finally return to her desk I approached and she just ignored me until I said hello, then she responded yes, I told her I was confused cause I had signed in online and now the tablet sent me another form to fill out on my phone , to which her response was well you shouldnt have signed in on the tablet. I said but you yelled from the back to sign in and her response was just give me your ID and insurance card. The other couple looked at me in disbelief, I have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in a place that was supposed to be attending to sick people. Will do all my best to not return to this facility if possible. One good note the nurse that took my vitals was very caring and professional.
Absolutely the worst urgent care experience I have had in my life. Went in after suffering bad side effects from the Covid vaccine. Dr said they could not help me and basically sent me home. Went to a different urgent care (CityMD) and Dr immediately sent me to the hospital, probably saving my life. Then Northwell Health had the gall to bill me for the visit despite giving them my insurance information and despite the fact that they could do nothing to me when they were in fact irresponsible and should have sent me directly to the hospital, as the Doctor in CityMD did. Please do not go here if you value your life and health, they are irresponsible and the doctors do not have proper training if they send a patient home who clearly needed to go to the hospital. Will never step foot into another Northwell Health ever again.
The girl doing my COVID test was INCREDIBLY aggressive. When she stuck the cotton swab in my nose she shook it around. I was confused and asked her to be more gentle and she refused, saying, “This is the way I do it.” This is probably like my 10th test & it’s never hurt this bad. She was also rude and looked like she didn’t want to be there. This place is usually great but terrible this time around thanks to this one nurse.
Went in with a sinus infection. Without looking in my nose or examining my sinus infection, was told I should take Advil and drink water and come back if it got worse. I explained it had been getting worse which was why I was there. The PA dismissed my pain and said to try allergy medicine. Went to CityMD the next day, where I was actually examined and given an antibiotic. A waste of time and money that borders on malpractice.
What a pleasant staff and Physician Assistant. I took my 17 year old son with autism, for a 1st time Covid test. I was so nervous, because I didn’t know how he would react. I know a normal person doesn’t find it pleasant. Let me tell you, it was quite stressful. However, the PA handled it professionally, as well as gracefully. They were knowledgeable and took the time to explain the PCR Covid test, about the results, and after care. Both my husband and I were very pleased. Especially since my son had negative result, and can go back to school tomorrow. 😀 Thank you, stay safe, be well, and God Bless !!❤️🙏🏻❤️
Received a bill in the mail saying I owed a balance from a service date of July of 2020, but I didnt even start using this urgent care until December of 2020. Called the billing office and I thought everything was resolved until i received the same bill in the mail one month later. Im not gonna go through the ordeal of getting a hold of someone from the billing office again. I decided to take my losses, pay it off, and never use this urgent care again.
I must say my experience was positive. Staff was courteous, it was a pleasure to be treated with respect and not feel rushed out of the room. I was showed compassion which unfortunately I havent even seen at my own primary care center. Also the call back to see if I was feeling well was a pleasant surprise.
So I left Friday with recommendations for zyrtec and an rx for ear drops, and within hours of leaving I became worse and started spiking fevers. I am now covid positive. Although friendly enough the visit felt dismissive, especially on my complaints of a rising temperature and feeling the effects. Please don’t use forehead thermometers on symptomatic patients, please test sick people, and please don’t put people in a “textbook” vital signs box, especially a nurse working in direct contact with covid patients. I may not have had to struggle seeking help elsewhere if we decided to test that day to be safe. I should have been more headstrong but I felt I wasn’t getting anywhere at a point, especially when I was warned they may not test before I even got a few words in about my concerns.
Went online, scheduled an appointment for a rapid Covid test. Entered my insurance info online, approved everything and when I showed up I was informed they dont take insurance for rapid and was asked if I wanted to pay $200. Receptionist was completely unhelpful and aggressive. Go to Circle or City MD
I took my 3 year old son since he wasnt feeling well and his ped. Is at bk didnt want travel that far fir a cough. So we went the staff were nice even when my son spilled water on the floor, thats was really bad and so embarrassing but the staff took it nice. So my son saw Maria she was so kind and friendly and very experience. She prescribed cream for my son hands eczema thats was cracked n all ugly and let me tell you it was for a long problem. But after her visit I feel his hands healed really fast. And cough was gone in 3 days. Over I love this place. There isnt a long wait and clean.
My wife and I have been here a few times. Staff are always friendly and PA would explain diagnosis, symptoms, and care. Ive had issues with the online portal and a billing issue with my insurance, both of with were resolved in 10 minutes with a phone call to their office. Id definitely recommend this place.
The doctor was very personable and took the time to explain the diagnoses and progression of the symptoms. Very easy to understand and thorough. Very rare to have such a great experience. I would have no issues seeing the Dr in the future and would highly recommend him.
Valon who did my covid rapid strept n flu test was so absolutely gentle for all the tests very understanding listened to everything I had to say about my symptoms. He asked if I had any other questions but he honestly had answered all my questions . Lady at the front desk with the cool scrub cap was absolutely sweet and had me checked in quickly and sufficiently.Hylan Blvd new dorp
An Asian woman that works there lied and said shes the doctor when in fact shes merely the physicians assistant. Why she felt the need to lie to us, especially my mother who was sick, is beyond me. They never said my mothers scans were being sent to a third party and we were never given paperwork that stipulated that. The only paperwork I was given was a white piece of paper that was a receipt. My mother signed an AMA and gave it back to them. No other paperwork was given to us at any other time. They said my mother had an enlarged heart and pneumonia in her left lung. None of it was true. They prescribed pneumonia meds for her and claim she should still take it. Not so sure about that. What really pisses me off is that woman misrepresenting herself as a doctor.
I went to this facility today for a huge scare. Woke up with a large lump in the back of my head. I was so scared, shaking and sweating. The place was spotless and I was seen immediately. The PA Maria was WONDERFUL and so knowledgeable. She took her time and explained everything to me about my swollen lymph nodes. I would not hesitate to go there again or even recommend a loved one. This place is AWESOME....and Maria is even more awesome. Thank you!
Receptionist super helpful- especially with my out of state insurance.Dr Cho was caring, kind & wonderful. Gave me a prescription & advice and sent me home to recover. Called a few days later to make sure I was feeling better. I visit SI often and will return if I am not well while I am in town.
The staff was great, the Dr was very caring. I went in thinking in had an ear infection, the Dr asked me about symptoms i would have never thought to mention, turns out I have the flu. Im now on my way to feeling better thank you so much. I highly would recommend going here
This was such a pleasant experience. I had a laceration that needed stitches - not something you want to fool around with. Their PA Gina was so professional and proficient I cant thank her enough. I was not asked to write a review, this was just a great experience. I would recommend.
I visited Northwell care center approximately 3 times and each time has been such a pleasure. I was seen within 5 minutes by professional PA’s and staff. Each time , I was given undivided attention and treated kindly. I will always seek this facility as a source of help if ever needed in the future. I highly recommend .
View looking for the covid-19 testing avoid this place at all cost. They promised to call me when the results become available but they never did. I tried to call them but no one would answer. They tell you that you can also get your results on their website but its impossible to create an account. Dealing with them was a nightmare! I hope I would never have to deal with them or with any other Northwell facility ever again.

2022-06-18I I went there Thursday afternoon on my lunch break knowing I only had 30 minutes and to my surprise the PA was amazing he actually gave me a antibiotic that they had in stock so I wouldnt go over my lunch break and get in trouble. And also embarrassingly as it was to talk to a male physician about a UTI he made me feel so comfortable. I never have to wait to be seen they take me in right away and the staff actually seems happy to be there.

2022-04-24For starters, I only go to this or any Northwell Urgent Care center ONLY if Chai Urgent Care is closed. When my family is urgently ill, I have no other choice. Every time I go, there’s a new conspicuous rule that is a deterrent to receiving professional care. Today my two daughters went in for care and after being registered and waiting over two hours, was then told they would not be seen unless I have the authorization. I eventually received “Wayne Evanss’” email at go health and sent the information but before I did, I posed a question regarding the email request for information. Northwell makes a assumption that all patients have access to an email to begin with. This staff needs cultural sensitivity training. Many lawsuits have been won over something as simple as negligent bedside manner and disinformation. Luckily my daughter is fine but another family may not even waste time and go to their lawyers office. Staff could use a refresher course on it.

2022-06-20Did not receive test results within time stated, Had to search out getting results, Then even when the results were available to have them fax to the Dr, I could not get a hard copy printed up at the urgent care center, I was told the results werent available. I had to tell the worker to call the Lab because they were available but not available on her screen...The problem LAB procrastination in download of report..
