Jen is amazing and Professional and her diagnosis was spot on. Her kindness and patience was truly wonderful!! Because of her expertise I was feeling better in two days!!!The staff is friendly and informative! It’s so nice to go to a walk in where that make you feel better with a smile ans kindness every before you are diagnosed!! Great service !!
I would give a zero if I could. Northwell needs to look into this place before they cause a lawsuit.yelling at my 3 years old daughter and wife for showing up for their appointment. Appointment set and confirmed by them.regardless of how much of a bad day you have, nothing, and I mean nothing gives you the right to scream and yell at a client. JAMES and Wendy both need to be fired for not being able to do the one job they are given.
Thank you Dr. Del Rosario for your expertise in the medical field and making me feel so much better. I was in a lot of pain coming in, and you gave me a steroid in the office that helped me tremendously! The medication that you prescribed for me is also very helpful and medical care that you gave me was unsurpassed!You and your staff are always professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to hear our Medical problem. Thank you so much again as I have come there time and time again through the years and have always been given the Best of care!
The check-in process was fast and easy. I was a walk-in patient and they took me in right away. The clinicians were very attentive, pleasant and listened to my concerns. In addition, they called me two days after my visit to follow-up and make sure I was able to complete the ordered tests. Very professional and pleasant experience!
I have been to this facility before with no problem. My family dr. Requested that I get another urine test so I made an appt. at this facility for 10:am this morning. (My first test was done at my Dr.’s office as part of my annual physical. ) I arrived early at 9:45 and texted them here as requested. I received a response they would be with me shortly. I sat & waited until 10:15 and watched people driving in and going directly into the facility. I again texted here and got the same response. I finally went in & told the guy at the desk I had an appt and wanted to know when I would be called. He told me to go back to my car & they would call me in 10 minutes. I waited 15 min. And gave up and cancelled my appt. I then received an apology that they were cleaning the room. I only need the privacy of a bathroom to provide the urine system. I will never use Northwell again and if I didn’t like my Dr. would give her up as she is Northwell also but never have I ever been treated like that at her office. Looks like I’m back to Quest in the future.Very dissatisfied former client
I had mild cold symptoms and wanted to rule out covid. Made an appt the same day (Friday), arrived 30 min early, and they took me right away. Kimberly (nurse practitioner) was amazing. Very caring, kind-hearted, empathetic, sweet and asked all of the right questions. I didnt feel rushed or like I was a bother. She really cared about my well-being and made me feel comfortable during my visit. Test results (negative) were back in 2 days, on a weekend! I will definitely go back here if need be, especially if the entire staff is like Kimberly! Thanks Kimberly!
I’m actually really taken back by the experience I had. I have gone to this urgent care in the past and they are usually very helpful, but my latest experience here has changed my mind about ever using this location.The first thing I will say is that the doctor himself was polite and helpful, at least to my face.I had a scheduled appointment and showed up exactly on time. The front desk person started to check me in when he abruptly got up to check something in the back. People were then starting to line up behind me and when he came back he was in dialogue with the staff in back saying how they shouldn’t be turning patients away, that they should be working a little harder. That he understands if it were an hour to closing but they are still open for another 4. As he gets back to the front he tells me and the other patients who are lined up to take a seat and talk amongst ourselves while he takes an x Ray. A few moments pass and another staff member asks who was next. I informed her about my appointment and then she moved on to the other patients who were walk ins and told them both they had to find different locations- even though one patient had said they just spoke to someone here at this office and they told him if he could get here in ten mins they could squeeze him in. She then addressed me and just told me to go to my car and wait to be called. It’s already about 15 mins since I walked in and I told her no my cars parked over in the other parking lot away and walking there and back would def show with my blood pressure. She didn’t want to hear it and just kept telling me to go to my car. So I just sat down and decided not to engage , I was already getting upset and didn’t want it to affect my blood pressure reading. And the waiting room was empty since she already dismissed the other potential patients. She storms off and loudly goes I’m not going to argue. A few moments later someone else comes up, apologizes and sets me in the room. My blood pressure reading was high and took a few moments to get a ok reading- I was very anxious over the situation that just happened. I tell the assistant the reason for my visit, an abscess that I can’t get looked at depending on a covid result. They made it a big deal about me being seen for covid AND something else. They said they were only trying to inform me they see patients for one reason because of insurance and have to treat it like two visits. I say yeah ok, whatever I need this done. And then they’re like going on about having to make another folder. I only bring this up because they kept bringing up amount of folders for me in a mocking way, and I heard them even though they closed the room door. I honestly will probably never use this urgent care again. I don’t know if the staff was overwhelmed for the day but it doesn’t make how they handled my visit ok. I couldn’t wait to leave the facility.
Had a scheduled appointment on Monday 3/29. Office was gorgeous, new, and modern. Was in and out quickly, clinical team was efficient and friendly, but otherwise Im underwhelmed.The gentleman at the front desk was brusque and impersonal. He collected my demographics without looking up from his computer screen, and then I stood there waiting, waiting. Finally he broke the silence by speaking back all my demographics without warning; just reading them off like a run on sentence. Hard to feel like a human when youre treated like that.The person who took my vitals wrote them down on her blue exam glove, and disappeared out the door with it still on her hand. That was weird. Never saw that before.Before climbing up on the examination chair, I needed to ask for it to be wiped down to remove the blonde hairs I could see on it-- from somebody else’s head.Ill try elsewhere next time; even if I need to drive further.
My husband went there today for a sever cough/cold. They did a rapid COVID test that came back negative, great. Unfortunately the told him he just had to wait to get better. They could’ve and should’ve written him a prescription to ensure he gets the OTC medicine that will best treat his symptoms. He wants to go get mucinex but I think he needs cough medicine. After 4 days of not being able to sleep due to his cough. Completely disappointed!!
I went to urgent care to get a fish hook removed from my finger after checking in I saw a great guy named Eric when he walked in to exam room he appeared to be on the young side and I figured how muck experience could he have so my first question to him was did you ever remove a hook before and he laughed plenty of times. Well he explained how he was going to do it and before I knew it he had it out no problem. I can’t say enough of Eric’s great mannerisms and skill level would highly recommend this facility
I always come here because it’s close to home and the doctors are great. I came in today with a killer migraine and they were blasting music like they were at home. People come in here sick not feeling well. Club music doesn’t help. I mentioned it to the receptionist, because I couldn’t hear him and all he said was oh I know… if I could have driven myself to another clinic I would have walked out.
They want to prescribe you as much as they can I have asthma but no flare ups I came in to get covid tested because I have a cold and they suggested prednisone. Prednisone is strong and has bad side effects on the stomach and on mental health look it up. Come here if you need a covid test or have an injury other than that go to a primary doctor.
I can not thank the staff at Go Health in west islip enough. They were so pleasant and knowledgeable as well as compassionate. I was nervous about COVID testing because of exposure and they made me feel so relaxed. The female PA Jennifer and the nurse Whitney were so great with me. I know they have been doing this testing since the beginning of COVID and can’t believe they can stay so positive and friendly working in such stressful situation everyday. They truly are a blessing to the public.
The facility was very clean, the Nurse and PA were very nice and professional, The guy in the front desk was soooo rude to me when i walked in i said “hi i have an appointment at 9:00am” he said to me “and what does that have to do with me?” I said excuse me ummm maybe you can find me in the system. Made me feel uncomfortable but other then that the rest of the staff they were great if it wasn’t for him i would have given them a 5 star.
I didnt like the fact that they had people call before coming in because it was under staffed . I didnt like the fact that they dont use paper on the examine tables.It may be the new thing to save environment yet I know that even if a bad job was done cleaning, the paper was a barrier.The receptionist was accommodating and friendly. The medical staff was friendly and professional.
The PA who helped me was EXCELLENT! She did not rush me, listened and addressed my concerns, and took time explaining the medications. She also was caring and could not have been nicer. She is a definite asset to your staff and should be complimented as to her performance and professionalism. It is employees like her that will result in patients returning to the same location. Please thank her for me.
The center in West Islip got me an appointment when I needed it! The MA, Teresa Tuthill, was knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate. The provider, Eric Walter, was also knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate. Later in the week, I called the center to get the name of a specialist, and Nick Price assisted me without hesitation.
My 7 year old daughter came in with a minor rash and was put on steroids- I gave her one dose and she woke up crying of terrible leg pain!! I immediately called her pediatrician and he was very upset, he said to take her off! I’m very upset and disheartened by this. This place should be shut down.
I was having a hard time breathing since I am an asthmatic and I had a feeling I had an upper respiratory infection. The PA, I believe her name was Jennifer was amazing. Her assistant Danielle and Ryan were also pleasant, friendly, and very very helpful! She gave me all the medication I would need to help me breath along with a doctors note for work and new tubing for my nebulizer. They even went ahead and gave me a steroid and a treatment on the spot. Talk about care and service! Would 100% come here again! Thank you!
The provider, Jen was very friendly and explained everything in a way I could understand. The girl at the front desk was also friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The MA Danielle took her time taking my vitals and explaining what she was doing. The whole team at West Islip is always welcoming and informative! Thank you!
North well health staff were thorough in their care , assessment and covered all angles. All staff, Doctor Brooks who have displayed great bed side manor. Made me feel calm and comfortable in a stressful and nervous situation in relation to my medical Diagnosis. The treatment rooms are spacious and immaculate. The treatment table was comfortable and o like how it rises up right to a seated position to provide more support and comfort. I like that they can perform X-rays on the premises. I mostly like that they can obtain the results quickly based on all the testing performed such as blood work, X-rays and EKG. Its faster than having to wait hours in a hospital ER. And they refer to specialty care if necessary and show you exercises you can do at home.
I choose this facility since I thought they were associated with the hospital network.The location is clean, plenty of parking and right in West Islip.Its unfortunate that the reception area and its people are non caring and lack any attention. They are obviously not formally educated and lack any personal or professional skills.I arrived at 11:45 and unfortunately must have ruined their lunch importance. I was told to sit and they would be with me shortly. For the next 15 minutes the entire staff vetted where they would order lunch from.Finally I was taken and asked for my copay even before knowing while I was here today. They told to fill out paperwork and once done I tried to hand back but the girl was on her cell phone. I was told to leave it on the counter.Im not a lawyer but I think by just leaving my personal information out on the counter could be a HIPPA violation.Once I finally seen a physician I was walked into a room and watch as they ate their lunch. Finally someone came in and when I explained my initial concerns with the front desk I was told they must have been busy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????The physician was thorough once she saw I was visibly upset. Never apologized for the lack of professionalism or privacy.I will not be going back to Northwell again nor will my family. Its unfortunate that Northwell doesnt screen or hire better personnel. Guess that is what happens when you become too big.
My daughter is here with 101.4 fever and they have no flu swabs left! How do you run out of things like this, now the Dr has no idea and wants us to decide on tamaflu or not! Came here on Sunday with my other daughter and the lady physician on call was great and checked back with me Monday to see how my kid was feeling.
My visits were on 11/29 & 12/1 I forget the medical assistants name maybe Karin or Karina I remember she had a mask on because she had a cold. She made me laugh and then apologized because it quickly made me cough and I said no worries laughter is the best medicine. Friendly knowledgeable helpful Staff All Around.
I visited this location today for a medical concern. Everything was fine and for the most part decent customer service. My only concern was when I was asked to provide a urine sample the staff member who directed me towards the bathroom had a really bad attitude. Not only that but she just told me to go to the bathroom and just give a sample. I wasnt handed a urine cup and my other concern is that the cup that I did leave my sample in did not have my name or a label on it with my name or any other identifying information. Isnt that a COLA violation?
The staff is horrible here. I had a severe burn on my face and was very upset. So what does the receptionist do, she goes in the back and takes everyones lunch order delaying my process of being seen. Then I go into see the Dr. he does not even give me a script and says to wait to see the dermatologist in the morning. He should have prescribed me a patroleum based ointment!! Very rude all together and not professional very trashy! Took me over an hour to be seen as the receptionist lunch order was more importantly then all five people in the office, what a mean girl. Then another time about 6 months ago I suffered a horrible neck injury and was treated like a drug addict by the female Physician turned out I had 2 herniated discs in my neck and severe nerve damage. Her suggestion was if you are in so much pain go to the E R bc you are not getting any meds here! Trashy arrogant staff!One more thing I went in there for severe cramps and the Doctor Probed me saying he was testing for blood. He shoved a tester so hard up my rectum and said he was testing for blood as this is not the correct way to test for blood in then stool.
I had a wonderful experience at Northwell Health Urgent Care on Union Boulevard in West Islip. The facility is immaculate, the staff and the professionals are amazing. I was seen quickly and did not have to fill out pages and pages of paperwork. Highly recommend this medical facility for immediate care.
West Islip Location was immaculate, online check-in was quick and easy. PA Jennifer Fincke and entire staff were fantastic !!! Very attentive with a great bedside manner! Will definitely recommend and would return to that location. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Jennifer and her staff!!!
The staff was excellent helpful Pleasant knowledgeable tender and kind Ive already started shouting out raving over my experience with northwell and I recommended you guys to everybody already at my job Im a New York City correction officer and I told everybody the great experience I had thank you very much for everything
My visit was as a walk-in, not a scheduled visit. I waited a little longer than I would have wanted but received the care and attention my injury required. I will be going back for a follow-up and will continue to use this facility. I am happy with the care I received.
I had been to this location once before and did not have a problem. Yesterday I wen there in terrible pain from a lower back spasm and after they took my copay, took my blood pressure and made me wait 20 minutes, the doctor (really young) came in to tell me that my GHI insurance was INVALID. I was in terrible pain and got very upset. There is nothing wrong with my insurance. They would NOT call GHI to confirm my insurance and I was told if I wanted to be treated I would have to pay the high fee up front. I refused and we had an argument. VERY NASTY AND UNHELPFUL. I would never go there again. I went home crying because she refused to treat me. I since called GHI and was told that my insurance was fine. I have had this insurance for 17 years and this doctor was trying to tell me that my insurance must have lapsed. I already went to the chiropractor early in the day and had no problems. These places are greedy and dont care about the health of the people who go to them. They could have treated me this one time and tried to resubmit my insurance today, but they just threw me out the door. They charge $300 for a visit. I was not about to pay!!!!!!
I used to live in Nassau and never had good experiences at Urgent Care centers, particularly the one in Levittown.Since moving to Suffolk 3 years ago, my wife, father, and myself had had great experiences with Northwell Health-GoHealth in West Islip on Union blvd.Particularly today I had a great experience. Ive been fighting something off for 9 days that finally escalated. I met today with PA Lauren Marola who was extremely knowledgeable, patient, friendly, etc. I never felt rushed with all my questions, and she answered all of them knowledgeably and intuitively. One particular answer to an odd question I asked involved why I yawned every time I had a shortness of breath (and Im thinking its an odd question, so I doubt anyone would know the answer to that), and surprisingly she gave me an answer that made complete sense.Overall, our experiences at Northwell Health-GoHealth in West Islip on Union blvd have been great, and if I ever got sick again I would definitely go back and recommend to see PA Lauren Marola. Thank you!
I was visiting my family in Bayshore but forgot my medications. The pharmacy couldnt give me my meds because I didnt have a script. I went to Northwest Health-Go Healthcare Urgent Care. They were so very understanding, helpful, and knowledgeable. I recommend them highly. I told my family that they should use them if ever an emergency occurs. Thanks Northwell.
This is the worst place to go. They lie. We where told that the charge was to be $70 co pay if you were insured. For a 2min consut and a perscripton for antibiotics cost us $310. Nasty employees including the Mgr. Dont go there. If I could give less thena star I would
Horrible bedside manner. Northwell is notorious for accusing people of being drug addicts! Disgusting PA accused me of drug seeking before even coming into the room to speak to me! Heard her talking nasty about me to the people at the desk before she entered my room. Then was nasty to me like i was lying about my back pain!
This place is awsome I recommend checking in online doing all ur all of 5 mins of that of paperwork online the doctor I had was awsome he gave me a treatment to relax my lungs an Chest an antibiotics steroid shot in the butt everything was great clean friendly I was happy w the treatment and service Id deff come back !!!! Thank you guys you all where amazing !

2022-06-04Excellent treatment for my daughter received after spending 8 hours in ER the day prior. Quick,quality service. The staff is like a well oiled machine. The PA, Jennifer Fincke listened and focused on the issues needed and took the time to refer us to a neurologist who was able to get us in within 2 days when the best I could find was a 3 week minimum. I will always recommend Go Health anytime asked. Above and beyond at all times!!!

2021-12-23Incredibly friendly staff! Im currently pregnant so they made sure I received the best care. Although it was busy, I was in and out in no time. I was greeted and welcomed very kindly by Whitney and Jennifer made me feel so welcomed. The rest of the staff was super accommodating.

2022-02-06I’ve been to this location several times and West Islip Northell Health GoHealth Urgent Care is second to none when it comes to urgent care facilities. This location has a super friendly staff, is always clean and there has never been a wait when I’ve gone. This is my number one choice for urgent cares and I tell my husband how much I love it each time I visit. It’s a painless and pleasant experience and the staff should be commended for the job they do because not all locations are run like this one. Keep up the excellent work!

2022-06-15The lady who I saw didnt really care to understand my symptoms and just tested me for covid said my results would be on patient portal on my phone in 20 min and basically tried to sho me away. She went back to get a stethoscope and do some tests after I was persistent and said sorry I thought this would be quick so I didnt bother to get my stethoscope. I am not happy with the care I got. And I felt rushed the entire time.I tested negative. And my symptoms are still persistent and debilitating.

2022-04-19Scam! They billed my insurance $600 to look in my ear and send script to cvs! When I didn’t have insurance last year, they charged me $150 for the exact same thing! Can you imagine $600 for a 8 minute visit?!?!? Insurance scam!!!!

2021-11-15The female PA that took care of helping me was very very helpful caring and courteous and concerned about me and my sickness very capable of making me feel very comfortable taking her advice. I was never at a place like that I have my own dr just couldnt get in to see him I didnt expect that kind of treatment from a urgent care facility but because of the PA I had and hopefully most your employees follow being like her I will most likely be coming back

2022-03-08Tried calling this facility to get a copy of COVID test. When you call the number , you get corporate, not this actual facility and they don’t have the record, so they tell you to call the actual facility, which I don’t have the number for. When They offered to transfer me, I ended up getting the exact same touch tone service from when I called them the first time, resulting in an endless loop. When I got a person on phone again, I demanded to be transferred to the facility or get the actual phone number but she refused and hung up on me.

2021-11-30Took my 5 yr old in tonight for a fever and sore throat. The staff was phenomenal! They were friendly, thorough, and made the nasal swabs less scary for my little one! So very thankful for our experience today!

2021-11-27This is the first review I have ever written. My goal here is to help improve this beautiful up to date, and immaculate Urgent care office.Personally, I did not like being questioned (out loud) and having to explain (out loud) why I’ve made an appointment. Additionally, the person at the front desk continued to question my specific symptoms and made me answer-describe (out loud) the specific symptoms I was experiencing…in front of other patients waiting to be seen. I believe this goes against all HIPA laws.
